hey so um. how exactly did you figure out you're trans? i'm trying to figure things out and i feel like there's nothing out there to make me feel like i'm "for sure" a woman... what if i'm just a confused cis guy!! idk!!
i've asked a couple people at this point and i feel like the more i hear the more it helps...? so um. forcefem me by telling me how you forcefemmed yourself please lol
it was basically a process of becoming more open with myself. letting myself explore the idea of being trans and knowing that i totally could be even if i couldnt identify the dysphoria at the time (and there Was dysphoria). i just started having these dreamy thoughts about what being a girl could be like and then i started thinking about certain signs and it suddenly made sense! so my advice would be that its totally ok if you arent, but dont die wondering. never die wondering. try out different pronouns, pick out some names you like, try on some fun clothes! and if it turns out you dont like it at any point, even if its been a while, thats totally ok! no harm done :) but never, Ever die wondering. please

Why are Violet and Rosé in heaven? Sorry if there's already an explanation
Rosé is in hell with her dads!! And Violet is in heaven because she was a human; she was Husk's daughter in life and died young ;v;

question- why aren't your bases transparent? /gq
I make all my emotes in MS Paint, so editing is optimized for MS Paint, and so as far as I know, the easiest way for anyone to edit my emotes is also probably MS Paint, with transparenting done afterwards in a secondary app. I use FireAlpaca :)
If you port images with transparency into MS Paint, they kinda break! Any transparent parts will be replaced with black. If you use black line art (which I do) this makes editing them also require re-lining them every single time.
I use MS Paint because she's beautiful and I love her. I also find it frees up my creative process a lot. And I think more people should use it.
It's very easy to add transparency to images, so if anyone who doesn't use MS Paint wants to edit my emotes, they can figure it out! Or ask me/look it up/perish I guess!

sorry! I didn’t clarify it
my question to you is more of, are there any pointers you can give me for someone that is getting back to being active again?
or advice for this ordeal? if you have any? or ideas that could make it better?
just anything you could add or your opinion would be great:)
from biologist anon
i don't know if i can really give yourself any pointers other than: if you're into this couple, they're into you, and you feel safe - it's fine to let them take care of you.
i totally understand wanting to go into it maybe with more experience or being able to please them but im sure they'd be more than happy to guide you along with that and have it be a turn on for them. your concern makes sense but i really do think it's safe to go with the flow and let them take care of you a bit. couples like that really do have tendency to enjoy that dynamic
i'd say it'd be good to put yourself out there for them in particular and ask them to take care of you a bit. im sure its an easy scenario to overthink but if all parties are happy on the same page i truly think you have nothing to worry about - especially if you feel like these people respect you.
you can always ask them to take to slow with you at first too yk...

Hi! I wanted to say i love your podcast. I had a question; i dont know if you want to answer it here or in the podcast but. Wat do you think, 'so scarlett it was maroon' means?
Thanks again for the podcast, xxxx
Thanks for listening anon and sending this in! ❤️
To me the lyric “so scarlet it was maroon” is representative of a couple things: 1. how bright and passionate Taylor felt this relationship was and how it burned out quickly and 2. how it was frequently changing.
We know that Taylor uses colors to demonstrate her emotions. In the prologue for Red she wrote: “These are moments of newfound hope, extreme joy, intense passion, wishful thinking, and in some cases, the unthinkable letdown. And in my mind, every one of these memories looks the same to me. I see all of these moments in bright, burning, red.” Since Maroon is a shade of red, the connection to the album and title track is clear, though this song looks at the relationship in a more compact and reflective way than most of the songs on Red. The color scarlet is the brightest one mentioned in the lyrics and ties back to the original prologue with the relationship being vibrant and intense. The relationship was so bright and intense that it couldn’t last and it burning out was almost inevitable.
Throughout the chorus the colors switch between different shades of red, with all of them being darker than scarlet. The mention of colors related to more physical features “The mark they saw on my collarbone” and “the lips/I used to call home” are darker, deeper and almost bruise like shades of red. The exception to this is “how the blood rushed into my cheeks,” which is a brighter shade, closer to scarlet and harkens back to the start of the relationship and the first moments of connection. The rust lyric stands out in particular since it indicates that the relationship between her and her partner reached a stage where there was no communication resulting in the relationship and the color changing completely, from red to orange.
The different shades of red indicate how there were slight changes in the relationship with some more noticeable than others until it eventually became something different. In the chorus, the colors turns from brighter to darker, reflective of the ups and downs in the relationship, and that change is encapsulated in the lyric “so scarlet it was maroon.”

hey in the scenerio that Something happens i have a joke url i want to switch to temporarily. How did you do your matpat-hater celebration change?? I'm guessing it's something like having the url on a sideblog and switching accounts to that one...???
if possible please explain it to me like im ten
it’s a side blog yeah!!! so let’s say for example i wanna change my main to schlarklezyaoi. i’ll go to my schlarklezyaoi sideblog and change its url to something different, usually just by adding a number at the end. you can also delete the blog to get the url, but tumblr has this rare glitch where sometimes deleting your side deletes your main and i don’t like risking it.
from there, i change my main url to schlarklezyaoi, then go back to the sideblog and change that one to apollos-boyfriend, so i don’t lose my main url

I'd love to hear you elaborate on your tags that said "MASH is sad but not depressing"; I think that's a very interesting distinction! (Not a demand or request or anything, just wanted to send this on the off chance you ever felt like talking about that some more at some point.)
So I have been trying to figure out how to articulate this for days.
I think what it boils down to is MASH does not aim to depress. When Alan Alda pitched Dear Sigmund, Gene Reynolds told him to be careful writing a depressed character because they didn't want to depress the audience. MASH aims to induce emotions in the audience, which is more successfully achieved by not hammering on one emotion constantly. MASH gives the audience room to breathe. It's funny until it's not funny and sometimes it's sad and funny at the same time. A depressing show, in my view, would be more bleak.
The darker parts of MASH stand out because they're unexpected. Because most of the show is not that. The dark parts aren't always trying to make the audience sad, either. Sometimes the emotion they're trying to induce is anger. A depressing show would lean toward apathy and inaction. MASH wants you, if not to act, at least to think. Depression is numbing; MASH is not. MASH is just trying to depict a war in the truest way it can. And also, it's trying to be funny. Comedy is a good genre for war stories, because it communicates the absurd and surreal nature of war in a way drama can't. MASH is, at its heart, a comedy. It veers into drama at times, but it's more dark comedy than it is dramedy in my opinion.
Even the ending of MASH is ultimately on the happy side of bittersweet. They get to go home. The war, which has dragged into perpetuity, actually ends. We know what's waiting in the wings and there are even nods to it in the finale ("Vietnam? Where's that?") but nevertheless, these people are going home. They're going home changed and scarred but they're going home. They all finally get the one thing they've wanted most since the beginning. The final message is hope.
The show as a whole doesn't depress me. It makes me feel a lot of things, but it doesn't make me depressed. Maybe individual episodes are depressing, but even those are few and far between and tempered by other emotions. Alan Alda's solution for Dear Sigmund--which he said he was inclined to do anyway--was to write Sidney as fighting to overcome his depression. I think in a way that applies to the show as a whole, too. It's all about staving off the bleak depression that war can induce.

@lacrimcrum (Lila)
⚔    ⚔    ⚔    ⚔    ⚔ ** not accepting
qrow doesn’t know how he gets himself into these situations.
except for the fact he hangs out where alcohol mixes and brawls happen. and was raised to fight in so many ways. and because one could tell by just one look at this woman that she was scrappin’ for a fight.
okay. so maybe he knows exactly why they circle each other outside the mistral tavern, Harbinger as a longsword twirling at his side by the hilt while this stranger looks at him with a recognition he doesn’t trust. she’s made him sweat, he’ll give her that. being quick on his feet and full of slick tricks doesn’t mean much when she’s so sticky sure-footed and slippery all at once that it’s hard to take her down.
“i’ve seen a lott’a combat in my time,” he taunts, still a moving target, “but not many who’ve got quite th’command’a their own body like you, lizard lady.”
he stalls, squaring her up. there has to be a weakness somewhere.
he misses Raven, thinking of her portals, how they used to dart to and fro to overwhelm larger targets. currently, a bit of parkour is the best he can do.
the woman’s one good eye narrows as qrow lunges into his next stance. there go her little glyphs to steady her feet, and a wide swing comes out in counter to his rush, but both are useless, because he blows past, to the trees.
he leaps trunk to trunk, trying to circle back around. yet she seems all too happy to give chase, try to beat him at his own game, showing off agile bounds. really, if she wants to bring herself off the ground, he’s halfway won.
you know what they say. the higher they are, the harder they fall. or something.
the moment he knows he’s out of line-of-sight for a second, he transforms. black wings carry him higher, out of sight, down and back around. is it cheating? probably. can he live with that? definitely.
he flies in from her flank, transforming again in the shadows until all her senses could tell her is that one large man with one large sword is falling at her at full speed. she jumps to solid earth and stabilizes once more, but it does no good. not with Harbinger held horizontal across qrow’s chest and pushing forward with his own weight plus gravity.
Tumblr media
she can block him with open palms and hold tight to that, too. doesn’t matter. he’s headed towards the ground, fully intent on taking her with him, until her knees bend back over stuck feet, and her whole upper body slams to the ground - trapped beneath the broadside of a blade.
he sneers down at her, whiskey breath and all, “y’wanna tell me what this’s all about, or’re we makin’ it best two outta three?”

My hottest take (and I genuinely do believe this) is that most trans women pass perfectly well. They just don't pass as supermodels. Every "nonpassing" trans woman I've ever met looks like your average midwestern cis woman.

In a world where a domino mask, or even just taking glasses out, is enough for concealing your identity...
Nobody should be able to recognize Jason post-ressurection.
Like he took 3 feet, 100 pounds of muscles, undergone puberty, magicked a part of his hair white, and his eyes changed colour.
He takes his helmet out in his dramatic reveal, and Batman is like : ... okaaaaay ? I am supposed to know who you are ??

frankly, the people whose kneejerk reaction to bisan asking for a global strike form the 21st-28th is to say that it takes years to organize a general strike are really unhelpful! no one is saying otherwise, but palestine will be a smoking crater if we all wait for years to do anything - bisan is asking us to do something now. Like are we only supposed to do something if we can do it perfectly??? At some point it’s a valid critique about the work that goes into social movement, and at another point I feel like some people are just trying to absolve themselves from not putting any effort into observing a week of economic inaction.
like idk! I get it, okay! People have bills to pay that don’t magically go away for a strike, we don’t have nearly enough social infrastructure in place to support people to fully stop going to work for a week. But fuck, dude! Stop immediately responding in such a defeatist way! Cut out unnecessary purchases! Try to shop local! Put more effort into promoting Palestinian voices online! Attend a protest, call a local rep, do something!
