ruikasa is honestly so top tier, because you have so much there from an emotional depth perspective and a comedic perspective.

on one hand, you have two Blatantly neurodivergent kids who have experienced isolation throughout their lifetimes (and who are, to be blunt, both complete social outcasts) finding comfort and company in one another. those same traits that are deemed societally unacceptable are the exact same things they love about the other. tsukasa gets to be taken care of for once, and rui gets full permission to be as unapologetically himself as he wants (with tsukasa even getting mad at him for holding back!!!) because it won't drive tsukasa away. how could it? he can never drive tsukasa away.

you have their unwavering and unconditional trust, love, and respect for one another as a really strong foundation for their relationship, with tsukasa willingly putting his life in rui's hands over and over again — even outside of their shows!!!

rui's respect for tsukasa immediately extends to those tsukasa cares for, too — he's even more patient with toya than before after learning about his familial relationship with tsukasa (and dare i say much more of an older brother figure than before)

there is genuine unconditional love, trust, and respect between the two of them. even with their banter and rui's teasing, there's nothing but the utmost respect.

but also it's like. they're like this

the weirdo wombo combo. they blow shit up at school together with tsukasa being an unwilling accomplice. tsukasa decides to join the discipline committee to figure out how to get rui to behave, only for rui to go "hehehe, how can i manipulate him to my advantage >:333". there's something terminally wrong with them. they share half a braincell except rui holds it at all times. rui fantasizes about tsukasa getting ripped. rui invites tsukasa over to his house whilst blushing. what the fuck is wrong with them.

i apologize for being so inactive on this account. i’m not sure if this has ever come up before, but i’m a high school senior. senior year has been busy the past few months, and i’m guessing it’ll be that way until graduation.

i’m not sure how much i’ll be able to reply to threads before then, but i fully intend to catch up on all that i’ve missed since i’ve been gone. graduation for me is june 11th, but i should have a week of freedom leading up to it - i’m exempt from all of my exams.

after that, my family’s going camping without wifi and i have college orientation, so i probably won’t be that active until july.

sorry for disappearing, and i can’t wait to get back into writing with this muse. )
