hello! it’s that time again i try to sell myself as a potential writing partner. i have written these in the past and been successful in occasionally finding roleplay partners who are interested in the same sorts of things as me. so i am looking for people who want to world build with me. i really like discussing plots, headcanons, and anything that can make me understand your muse better! i love sharing memes, drabbles, not roleplaying linearly and tossing around multiple threads! i don't need many people to write with but i really prefer to have a handful of people who i know well, am invested in their muses/feel super comfortable with my knowledge of their muses & pingpong my annoying ideas at them easily.

i tend to write lengthier things but i am okay with any length as long as it’s not one-liners! i also have zero interest in writing with someone who i will only have one thread with and never speak to again. 💀 i just rather focus on threads that will grow outside of just one single reaction! i like to think i am pretty easy to toss shit around with but i am a little shy so sometimes it takes a while for the ball to start rolling but once it is i am full-sending that shit.

hi ! i'd be more than happy to. under the cut are screenshots of my group, aurora isle. however, i can't claim sole credit for how it's been set up as it was a group effort between my former co-admins, fleur ( who deserves a large chunk of the credit for showing me the ropes and making everything so beautiful ) and saint ( whose tumblr blog i'm not familiar with rn — i believe they might have changed their url ? ) . we also incorporated a lot of member requests and have adapted it to the group's needs !

The funny thing about University campuses – well, not funny ha-ha, funny annoying as hell – is that you can spend your entire tenure in your little corner without ever venturing into the other buildings. It is, for this very reason, you are standing in the Phycology Building’s pristine hallway, looking incredibly confused and narrowly avoiding being trampled.

“Dr. [Name]!” You whirl around, squinting at the young man who strides up to you, a smirk forming.

“Marius!” You give him a quick hug, guiding yourselves out of the worst of the foot traffic, ending it with a clap on his shoulder.

“Don’t tell me you’re lost, Doc,” Marius teases.

“It’s not my fault the Phycology Building’s built like the little rat mazes y’all like so much,”

“Nobody does that anymore,” He says with an indulgent little smile and a roll of his eyes. “You looking for Vyn’s office?”

“Guilty,” You shrug.

It’s always weird hearing “Vyn” instead of “Dr. Richter” or “your-annoyingly-show-off-and-smug-about-it partner” (not that Marius calls him that). He always makes sure to add Doctor to your name, though – “diversity hire,” he had joked when you’d joined the team. You think he does it to piss Vyn off, but you can’t ever tell if it’s working or not.

“Did he give you directions?”

“Yeah,”

“But you weren’t listening,” Marius sneers.

“I was. I just didn’t take notes,” Marius laughs.

“Well, for starters, you’re on the wrong floor.”

“What? Well, shit,” He chuckles.

“I can walk you up, if you want,”

You glance down at your watch.

“Nah. I’m a big person. And don’t you have somewhere important to be or something?”

He checks the phone in his hand. “Well, shit.”

You laugh.

He gives you a wave, talking over his shoulder. “It’s down the hall and up two flights of stairs on the right!”

“Thanks!”

“Yeah! Bye, Doc!"

After only a few turnarounds, you reach Vyn’s office.

It’s predictably neat, clean enough to be reminiscent of a museum, save for the occasional accent – the pillow in the chair across from the desk, the papers strewn about the desk, a leaning book to cover for a missing one.

Vyn’s white lab coat lays on the back of his chair. Even now, he’s elegant, chin perched on his wrist, golden eyes scanning the holograph document. He brushes the silver hair out of his eyes slides his finger to turn the page.

“Dr. Watts,” He greets, sitting up straight.

You suddenly feel bad for shattering the little scene of comfort before your arrival.

“Dr. Richter,” You give him a two-finger salute. “You owe me lunch,”

He smiles lightly - the painted, perfect thing. “That I do,”

“Is that a new case?” You ask as he rises from the chair.

“I’m afraid it’s not nearly as interesting,” He says. “Only grading papers,”

“Yikes,” You say, as if you’ve never graded papers.

“I like it,” He says. "It’s interesting to see the generations thinking on a particular matter,”

You quirk an eyebrow. “Of course you’d say something like that,”

He simply smiles.

"And before you ask, no – I don't agree," You say. "They think just 'cause they can build a robot, suddenly means they don't have to have a conscious or empth – Wait… isn't that Marius?"

"And Captain Morgan." The two of you watch for a couple of seconds before he starts to take the handcuffs out.

"Shouldn't we ... stop him?"

"He has the bail money," You cut him a look and start to walk.

"Oh, hi, Rosa," You say, and her face relaxes in relief when she recognizes you.

"Dr. Watts?"

"You know each other?" Marius whines. "You've been holding out on me, Doc?"

"What's going on here, Officer?" Vynn asks. "Marius here is under arrest because he's a person of interest – "

"Of course," You and Marius say simultaneously - you annoyed, Marius smug.

Darius regards both of you tiredly. "For the death of Estelle Marino,"

"Oh damn," You say.

Vyn hums in agreement.

"I suppose we should come with you, considering you were going to call us already, right?"

"Oh, thank god," You say when you arrive and they already have your stuff out. "Oh, right, you've never seen a Memory Editor in person before,"

Rosa shakes her head. "I've only heard you mention it in court,"

"It's only /interesting/ in court," You say. "Now it's just a bunch of digging in trash cans,"

"They mean investigating," Vyn said.

"Right," You say. "Sure,"

"It's legal," Vyn says to Rosa's shifting.

"I'll help," Rosa says. "What are you looking for … exactly?"

While the two of them go across the apartment, you walk over and boot up the machine. It's not hard, but it's a long process, and there are a lot of little settings that could mess things up along the way.

"There we go," You say. "Now we wait,"

"Do you have to wait a lot?" Rosa asks. "I mean, I try to be forgiving, considering it's resurrecting memories from scrach, but yeah,"

Rosa looks between you and the machine. “Dr. Watts?”

“Hm?”

“What does it … “

Like … being thrown into a pool. But it’s not a cold pool - it’s warm. But not, like, the weird kind of warm, either. And all the little bubbles rushing up are, like, feelings and - memories instead. And when you open your eyes to peer into the depths …

A grand necklace with jewels reminiscent of the pools reflecting the night sky, held together with diamonds rivaling the constellations sits upon your slim and perfect neck. But your eyes are bloodshot and puffy and your dark mascara is smudged. You delicately raise your manicured fingers to eyes that are not yours -

“Dr. Watts -“ You jolt.

“Jesus,”

“Dr. Watts,” The voice glides over your senses like a clear stream and you swallow, hand on your chest. You are alone in the bathroom. “The time of death approaches. It will likely be gruesome,”

“No shit Sherlock,” You grumble, shaking your hands into the sink and palming at one of the plush towels. “Poisoning sounds, like, super uncomfortable!”

“Shh,” The voice reminds you, and you unwittingly clamp your mouth shut with a frown. “We wouldn’t want to alert your husband, would we?”

You toss a glare at the wall, try not to sputter over his choice of words. You brush your perfectly manicured fingers over the magazine cover, a dull feeling half love half anguish blooming in your chest. It’s sickening. Your husband is smiling, but his eyes are distant. The silk-gloved magician he is playing isn’t far from his role in your secret married life - disappearing and reappearing, disappearing and reappearing.

I’m sure you just wanted to tell me to shut up. Idly,you hover over the chocolate box given to you by that young upstart. He’s cute, but he has nothing on your man - even if said man thought so.

There was never anybody else.

There never could be.

There is no reply from the voice, but you know him - you can see, clear as day, that annoying little coy quirk of the mouth he makes that’s so frustratingly -

“Hmm?” He hums. You roll your eyes and throw a chocolate into your mouth. You can’t place the aftertaste - it’s strange. Sour. Citrus zest? No… You start to grasp at your neck. The necklace is too tight. You keep gasping for air and coming up empty.

“Help!” You’re screaming, banging on the door, but it isn’t enough.

“Help! Janus!” You’re clawing at the shared door between you and your beloved husband.

“Help! Janus! Please! Janus! I can’t - “ The hard-wood of the door peers down at you.

“Help!” You screech, falling to the floor. “Help! Vyn! Help me!”

You can’t swallow - you can’t - it’s getting dark.

It hits you, right as your vision fades to black and the door creaks open.

“Rosa,” You try to move your arm but he doesn’t let go. Then, he does. “Can you go get me some water? Poison tastes as bad as you would expect,”

“Sure,” Rosa says, standing and smoothing her shirt. She seems happy to have something to do.

You start to stand up but Vyn stops you. “I need to check if I set something wrong - that’s not suppose to - “

“Breathe,” He orders.

And you do.

“We can talk about it now,” He says. “Or we can talk about it later,”

“There isn’t much to talk about,” You say. “I probably messed up a setting and - “

“You called my name,” Vyn says.

“And,” You say, sharply.

“And we need to talk about it. If not as colleagues, as … “

“Whatever it means to call out to somebody when you think you’re dying.”

You hate how hard it is to read his face. “…Yes,”

AROACE STORYTIME

Guys, just experienced my worst nightmare as an aroace. So I bought a car like a month ago (haven’t passed my driving test yet, failed twice but that’s a different story) and the salesman I dealt with is probs around my age. And I was nice to him, like you’d be nice to anybody. Nothing special. I work with the public so even though I’m really socially awkward I know how to speak to people. And he’s a car salesman so, y’know, he’s good with the chat. So whenever he was like phoning or whatever to confirm details and whatever, he was nice and so was I. Civil. I wasn’t giving out any vibes cos obvs I am oblivious to anything like that cos, y’know, flaming aroace here. At one point my mum asked me if I thought he was good looking (I’m closeted) and I just said no, cos tbh I could barely remember what he looked like cos I am truly terrible at remembering peoples faces unless I’ve met them quite a few times and/or know them well. And also from what I could remember, no. I do think I get aesthetic attraction- like I can think “wow they’re beautiful” and then just move on with my life. But yeah, he was just the guy who sold me my car. End of.

Haven’t spoken to him in ages cos I don’t need to anymore. I own the car and the deal’s done. But my dad had phoned about something, and so today he text me to say he just spoke to my dad (well, he said papa cos he must’ve thought my dad looked old enough to be my grandad. Which has happened before, my parents were kinda late starters) and just to say he’s chasing it up and if I could give him a phone. I work long hours and never get to look at my phone properly let alone make a phone call (also I hate phone calls) so I just text him back to say it’d be the weekend before I have time to phone. And then he text back just to say, no problem just wanted to check you’re enjoying your car blah blah blah. So then went through the whole, yeah love it, haven’t passed my test yet but love my car. So then the conversation just kept going, and emojis started to get used and he was asking all why did I fail my test and being all friendly and I’m a thinking like “right… I’m not your friend, can we wrap this up”. So then, the worst part happens. He was saying all “oh I know it’s annoying to fail but keep calm and I’m sure you’ll do it next time” and then at the end there was a “x”…. No. I have never had any personal experience with this stuff but I listen to enough people and watch enough trashy reality dating shows to know that’s what someone, what allos, do when they’re seeing if someone’s interested. Nightmare. Felt sick. No. Just no. I only have stan social media so I’ve never had to deal with that whole “oh they’ve added me, they’ve DMd me” or whatever cos it’s not about me. So obvs I didn’t add a “x” at the end and then he still sounded like he was trying to be a bit flirty so I just got pure dry with him and gave like one or two word answers, shut him down and he immediately gave up.

But fuck. I’ve never had to deal with that. I did not like it. I’ve always managed to avoid it, whether it’s because I’m so oblivious to all of that cos I don’t experience any attraction or cos I’m just not someone who attracts that sort of attention (and I’m happy about that cos it saves shit like this happening) or whatever. But yeah, that freaked me the fuck out. Hated it. Allos, you are wild to me.

sloane, also/sometimes called soso. from a somewhat affluent and successful, authoritarian family, with a lot of expectations on her shoulders. she sort of outran those and her entire past and ended up on another/preordained path but ayyy. 

went to business school as her parents wanted her to.

the middle of 3 kids to her parents. she walked that thin line between doing what she wanted (aka rebelling like her younger brother, and being the obedient/good daughter, like her older sister), and sort of felt alienated/squished into her family dynamics for a long time.

(/tw here for some homophobia) she is a lesbian and after years decided to come out to her family. it generally didn’t go well, but she and her sister grew a closer bond out of it. they were never close as kids but as adults they were able to share more and understand each other better.

she became a photographer eventually, despite her business degree, because she decided to do something for herself for once.

her sister moved to roswell for a while all on her lonesome.

fast forwarding to make this intro more succinct, but her sister went missing after a year or so. 

eventually, sloane got up the courage to follow her through the mysterious circumstances, to try to find out what was going on for herself. partially just to be closer to the memory of someone she loved who she felt she had lots of regrets and missed opportunities with.

she’s been in roswell for like a year herself. seems no closer to finding out clues to what happened to her sister. she still puts up fliers, posts online, and hasn’t really given up. but she is jaded about it all and has no idea where to go from here. she’s close to burying the lead and all her reserves and just giving up.

she’s not really content with her life and her emotional state is a disaster.

she’s a low/sweet/soft spoken woman, but not shy or reserved about her thoughts or her opinions. now more than ever she wants to be an authentic person. whether that means pissing people off, living however she wants, doing crazy things, slowly devolving into a crazy conspiracy theorist or not.

very thoughtful, very artful, very cautious with her energy and her time. she’s emotionally walled off despite coming across as open. especially when it comes to romance. she plays a strong game like she’s interested, but she’s the quickest to ghost. very not interested in being the one who gets hurt or in losing someone else. in a way? afraid to love tbh.

obsessed with random shit. 60′s-00′s music, tv and aesthetics? the type to take lots of random candid pictures, the blurrier the better. in her mind, happiness is in a smile you don’t know she captured. will absolutely wear a jacket even in the summer, don’t try her. slouchy clothes that hide her because she doesn’t want to be perceived, pls do no perceive her!!! always tired but doesn’t sleep well. and fairly open about her lgbtqa+ self. again, she can come across as very open/direct with the except of the fact that it’s a total lie and her heart is so closed :/ oops...

I enjoy making new friends and people to write with! The more partners I drag into my whirlwind the more opportunities I get to write interesting things. As for being mentioned IC, I love it tbh. Please do, it's always fun to see.

🪀 How do OOC posts make you feel? Do they affect your IC writing or flow, to know other muns better?

if it's the only thing you post then you're not really an RP blog and I may unfollow after awhile just to keep my dash clear and make it easier for me to find replies posted and to read other people's threads, but I don't mind them too much? It's interesting to see what other people consider worth posting ooc, and ooc posts give me a general idea of what kind of person you are, and often makes it easier for me to figure out how to approach someone ooc for plotting or other discussion.

🩵 Do you have any apparent flaws when it comes to RPing/interacting? Be gentle with yourself!

social anxiety is a thing i am diagnosed with lmao so one of my biggest weaknesses is approaching other rpers, IC or ooc to write anything. it can take me days or weeks to do so, and if you're not someone who posts inbox/starter/plotting calls it may take me longer to finally interact with you bc i'm typically waiting to see an opening so i don't feel like i'm bothering you lmao. also autism, so i'm really bad at reading the room sometimes, sorry in advance for being weird lmao

When you fucking forgor about the scam guy who gave the player a Magikarp. I think I was thinking of blue having one, but when I checked my version of his pokemon, he didn't. Have it. So.

Originally, Green was gonna get a kingdra and red was gonna get Lapras as usual. Neither are bad mind you, but again, I forgot the scam Magikarp.

Now, Lapras is pretty tied to Red to me, so I don't think I'll change it. Green, on the other hand, is more up in the air. Kingdra was honestly something I felt would be interesting for Green. I couldn't tell you exactly why, but I imagined she saved it from a bunch of bully pokemon.

That being said.

Green getting the scam Magikarp would be funny. Green doesn't get scammed. She's the one scamming you. So when an adult man tries to swindle red out of his money, Green steps in like "I gotchu bro" and proceeds to swindle her way into getting a free Magikarp. She didn't give it to Red bc " ya snooze, ya lose".

I think her having a big scary Gyarados would be fitting for her tbh. But I am attached to her kingdra. But then I could give the kingdra to Silver, which I honestly feel would fit him better than a Gyarados honestly. So I think I might actually change that. Maybe. I still need to think about it.

Going back to blue, I guess this means he uses Blastoise in his gym battles? Ever since a starter has been non existent ( minus pokemon masters) so I guess he would. Though I can see it being a bit unfair if he fully used a team he was very familiar with. Maybe he gets the cloyster he had in pokemon yellow? I think that would be a good call back.

ok so today i dreamed like .. first i was in school again annd tbh nothing 2 interesting .. some kid used a weird ai tts radio and charged it in class bc apparently the chargers were stupidly strong there .. but they made it say cuss words so they got punished .. weird . infact that whole school was gonna get like a Big tech rehaul showed like a cool tablet and stuff but i forgot what it did . and then it kinda cut to some other kid cause idk some school tech thing cussed at Him and his mom and the school were rly worried but they both thought it was him or something and also i was watching and commentating 4 some reason .. OK so then it cuts to me in this .. weird little store i dont remember what kind of store or wat i rly saw all i remember is a clown was probably there and Pointy Funko Pop . yeah . i remember how it felt in mai hands ..

BUT WAIT THERES MORE ok so like i go home and Oops ... dead pigeons EVERYWHERE turns out some people were just fuckin Shooting them 2 death ??? i think it became legal or something cause it was just gruesome made me sad in the dream .. apparently they got their heads heart lungs .. basically they just got everything but as the reporter put it "their chicken" idk i think they meant just their bodies but preeety sure no one was gonna eat em . OK SO REGARDLESS i walk to the train station home its COVERED in like pigeon blood and guts and maggots and i get it on my hands bc there THAT MUCH THERE ... i reach the train and i just kinda check my wallet for .. my metro cards for some reason ? i think i had to redeem them at the train instead which was weird .. but the train and cards were themed after cappy from mario .. ! ok so i get on .. ooh its the newer model train than usual .. maybe this is the Wrong train .. but i ask a girl next to me if this was going in the right station and she said YEAS .. well SHES A LIAR we get off and oough ... oops im in japan and there's like .. a weird region exclusive version of a pokemon starter here ?? but basically i start panicking cus my phones at 2 percent and i need to call Someone .. but b4 that i notice that i was able to redeem a thing on my phone that told me i would b able to skip 8 days of school with it .. ! seemed Weird but i took it and idk what happened much after that
