I really think it depends on the situation. If there's already a conversation happening where people are disagreeing with each other and they're doing it respectfully, then yeah, I think it's okay to jump on in. If it's not being done respectfully then it's probably best to just not engage at all. And of course, if the OP has asked for opinions, or you know them to be someone who welcomes different opinion and enjoys engaging in discussion, that's fine.

But if none of those things are true... well, I think it still depends. If it's a pretty common opinion within fandom, I don't think there's anything wrong with going to your own blog and talking about what you think. But if it's one that's not particularly common where it would be pretty obvious who you were responding to, then it's probably best to just leave it alone. Unless their take is like, horribly offensive in a way that's bigoted or based in really hateful mindsets or something like that.

I do think, though, that if someone blatantly mistags something (like putting anti-ship posts in a ship's tag, or shippy posts in an anti-ship tag, stuff like that), then that person does kind of lose the right to being treated according to respectful fandom etiquette, and you'd be totally in the right to rip their garbage takes to shreds.

As far as whether to to use replies or reblogs... I have no idea. I've never really found there to be too much difference when it comes to this kind of thing. Replies are good for when you want to respond to something but you don't want the whole post blasted out for all of your followers. So I suppose if your mindset is something along the lines of "I want to respond but I don't want a bunch of other people on my side of the fandom seeing it so that it won't result in a dogpile". But I feel like if that's the thought process behind it then it probably is just best to not respond at all.

EDIT: I also think that it's really important to pay attention to how an OP has tagged something. If someone has been careful to tag things in a way that it was clearly only meant to be seen and engaged with by certain parts of the fandom, then I do think it's pretty shitty to respond to it. While I am generally of the mindset that if someone is putting something on social media they're putting it on a public forum and they shouldn't get upset if people reply in disagreement, I also think the whole point of careful tagging like that is to make it less public, and that should be respected. I do feel like it's worth taking the few extra seconds to go back to the original post to see how it's tagged before responding.

And in general I just have very little respect for the "well people are too sensitive these days and if they can't handle a little disagreement on an opinion they post then they're just too sensitive and trying to isolate themselves from any disagreement and that's just bad etc etc." Because we have no idea what's going on in anyone else's lives. What they do and how they act on tumblr is just a small part of who most people here are, and there's just no way to look at how they act on tumblr or engage with fandom and know anywhere close to enough about them to make those kinds of judgement. For all we know, that person might deal with disagreements and different opinions all day with grace and respect, and they like their fandom hobby to be the one place where they don't have to deal with that. There are all kinds of reasons that a person might not want to engage with different opinions when it comes to fandom, and in most cases you're probably never going to know enough about that person to know why, or to make some kind of "well they just can't handle anyone disagreeing with them so they shouldn't be posting online" assessment.

So many people act like this whole "people just can't handle others disagreeing with them" idea is like, THE big problem of fandom, or even just online discourse, but I think the biggest problem is how little respect people are willing to extend to others. People will come up with so many excuses to just not have to treat someone else with even just a little bit of respect, and to frame themselves as still being in the right.

Hungry for Good Omens 3 crumbs of information? Let’s see what I’ve found and speculate a bit about cast members, filming locations, and… trees! As always, please tag accordingly, share only with the fans consenting to know potential spoilers, and get yourself something to drink since it’s going to be a longer read.

News flash: both Ned Dennehy (well-known to Good Omens fans as Hastur) and Sean Pertwee (recently revealed to star in the Finale as Brian Cameron) admitted to have been working on location in Tenerife during the film’s production time slot (January and early February, respectively). In Dennehy’s case, even providing a rather intimately close look at his character.

The location alone isn’t particularly surprising, as the Canary Islands and Tenerife in particular are currently experiencing an influx of international productions, including several TV shows by global streamers, making use of the favourable weather and prices. But Dennehy’s post, additionally liked by a Good Omens crew member, seems somewhat suggestive.

In the Instagram story above, Sean Pertwee called 14 January 2025 his last day on the shoot in Tenerife and subsequently traveled to London and Edinburgh, from where he shared another video three weeks later.

Now, technically the Tenerife film set could be a part of Pertwee’s NCIS: Tony & Ziva job he started last autumn. However, that would imply that he plays a greater role in the upcoming production than the currently available promotional materials imply, and the location stamp in the bottom right corner, Drago Milenario, is too deliciously Good Omens coded to overlook it.

It isn’t even a place, really, but a living organism. A plant. A tree.

Meet Drago Milenario, also know as El Drago, a natural monument and symbol of Tenerife. The oldest and largest living specimen of the endemic Dracaena draco (dragon tree), it is said to be a thousand years old and stand at 18 metres high with a 20-metre perimeter. “Great big bugger,” as Aziraphale would say.

There has been much debate over the age of the tree, and some even say that it may be over 5000 years old; more recent estimates seem more conservative and suggest that El Drago is no more than 800 to 1000 years old. It is difficult to say unambiguously, because the traditional method of counting rings is not applicable in this case — dracaena has no rings.

Its home, the Millennial Dragon Tree Park, or Parque del Drago, in Icod de los Vinos, is a sacred place and a burial zone of Tenerife’s original inhabitants, the Guanches. Members of the Guanche people venerated El Drago as a divine tree; a symbol of wisdom and fertility, believed to have magical powers, granting longevity and warding off evil spirits. Its blood-red oil or sap is called dragon's blood and historically used to treat wounds and embalm corpses. According to local legends, that’s because slain dragons don’t actually die, but rather turn into dragon trees like this one.

The dragon part of the story sounds objectively cool, but if we overlook it for a second, we might notice why the connection to Good Omens is so strong here. When asked about trees in the show’s context, one’s first point of reference is quite naturally the Garden of Eden scene and the shot above featuring the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. The thing is, it wasn’t the only one.

According to the Bible, the very reason why Aziraphale was even stationed in Eden (possibly with a few other armed angels) was to protect the Garden from the newly exiled humans. More specifically, his “apple duty” meant that he was supposed to guard a very particular and yet unseen tree:

“The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them. And the Lord God said, ‘The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of lifeand eat, and live forever.’ So the Lord God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken. After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the Tree of Life.” (Genesis 3:21-24)

In the apocryphal Apocalypse of Moses, the tree of life is also called the Tree of Mercy. Adam, the first human, famously sent his son Seth and wife Eve back to the gates of the Garden to beg God and His angels for some oil of the Tree of Life to save him from his deathbed by granting either full immortality or longer lifespan. They were obviously denied, but in another part of the Bible — the Book of Revelation, on which most of the official Good Omens plot is based, Jesus announces the details of His Second Coming, including who and when will get the right to enjoy this forbidden fruit:

“Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to reward each one as his work deserves. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end. Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they will have the right to the tree of life, and may enter the city by the gates. (Revelation 22:12-14)

The Catholic Church in particular believes that the Tree of Life mentioned above is the Eucharist and often combines the image of the Tree with the Cross of Christ, both literally and figuratively (see above: The Tree of Life printed by John Hagerty, 1791) granting the immortal life to His Chosen Ones:

And he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb, in the middle of its street. On either side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. There will no longer be any curse; and the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and His bond-servants will serve Him; they will see His face, and His name will be on their foreheads. In his Roll Play BAFTA interview published on 10 February 2025, while talking about his work for the Good Omens Finale, David Tennant himself has specifically referred to the possibility of Aziraphale and Crowley spending eternity together. But where? Well.

The visual symbolism of an apple tree seems so important for the Good Omens 3 plot that it’s even represented on the exclusive mug design shared on 30 April by one of everyone’s favourite production crew spouses, Carla Scott Fullerton (fullercoaching on Instagram):

For those who missed the original discussion, the reverse side of the complimentary mug gifted to Good Omens 3 crew members and depicted above contains a photo of slate number 100, scene 59 of the production with a quote “We’ve come to a decision…”. A typical feature film of this length consists of around 60 scenes, so it’s definitely the ending or one of the scenes directly preceding it.

Which means that the story ends, as it began, in a garden. And with a very specific apple tree, adorned with initials AZ and CR in two little hearts as hinted by the drawing in the background.

There’s a specific crew member though — one of the firsts to be confirmed for the upcoming production, actually — that has shared a Good Omens themed work with an apple tree a whole year earlier.

Here you can see Michael Ralph’s (i.e., Good Omens production designer’s) concept art depicting Neil Gaiman’s version of heaven on earth – “Heaven is a Library” – at LA music venue, The Wiltern, for The Art of Elysium’s Heaven 2024 charity gala. It’s got Va Va Voom yellow walls, red carpet, spiral stairs, a centrally located oculus, and lots of plants with an apple tree with a swing in the middle. In case this image wasn’t suggestive enough, it’s worth to focus on the twin display tables with Cupid statues on top, direct copies of the one from A. Z. Fell and Co. bookshop in Soho.

It’s not even subtle — and wasn’t meant to be, considering how Event Eleven, the creative agency behind the gala, typically organises high budget premiere events and promotional campaigns for Amazon Prime TV shows, and to this day it’s the closest we’ve got to a Good Omens 3 public celebration.

While this one was for charity and officially not affiliated with the studio, it took place only three weeks after the official announcement of Good Omens 3 and involved not only this curious simulacrum of Aziraphale’s bookshop as a setting, but also Jon Hamm on stage as the guest of honour, referencing the co-leads of the TV series and reciting an excerpt from the 1990 novel in an approximation of their characters’ voices, and the Ukrainian artist Katya Zvereva was commissioned to make an installation for the gala called literally “Tree of Life” (above).

Not incidentally, the only iteration of the Tree of Life in the actual show so far has been built into the layout of Aziraphale’s bookshop (left). Its Kabbalah depiction (right) is a representation of the entirety of creation, composed of ten spheres — referred to as the Sephiroth/Sefirot as a whole — each denoting a universal quality, such as wisdom or beauty. To quote The Golden Dawn: The Original Account of the Teachings, Rites, and Ceremonies of the Hermetic Order by Israel Regardie:

The Two pillars on either side of the Altar represent:

You are right on your second point. However, comparing addiction to using one's phone at someone's funeral is what stigmatizes "addiction" as a term, as it compares it to a negative behavior people do by choice instead of acknowledging fundamental altering of the addicted person's hierarchy of needs.

It also, in the context of their tags, implies that addiction is the reason for the "collapse of Western civilization", which sounds a whole lot like speak of "degeneracy", and, in the context of the original post, implies that addiction is something to be laughed at.

If I am being honest, what initially got me riled about their reblog was their use of the term "dopamine addiction". It was, and I am trying very hard to make this polite, ludicrous. That is like saying "Oh, I have an oxygen addiction, I literally cannot live without it" or "Oh, I have a water addiction, I get thirsty so that must be withdrawal symptoms". Dopamine is the chemical in people's brains that helps regulate just about everything, as you probably know, and dopamine is released with basically everything. If you are happy or enjoying something in literally any way, even subconsciously, your brain is emitting and sensing dopamine, and even if you are not enjoying it you still have dopamine going around in you. I find it not only incredibly ignorant of the human body but also a concept derived from a Purital style of thought, where anything that brings you any sort of pleasure is bad(as, of course, you are "addicted to dopamine"), and that combined with their smug, hypocritical, "holier-than-thou" attitude(pretending to be an outside observer sneering about subjects' lack of self-control while being on Tumblr.com the social media site) made me snap about it.

In retrospect, I should have blocked them as soon as they messaged me in private about my reblog of them, but I did not, so what is done is done. I do not particularly regret anything I said in private messages(as I did not say anything unjust, I think, especially considering some of their accusations), and I do not regret my initial reblog at all, but I should step away from the argument now.

The majority of elves who escape Angband were kept in the mines and escaped through the complex channels of tunnels and passages on the outskirts of the Ered Engrin. Most of them managed this because they were overlooked by their captors, often being initially captured in large numbers and surviving their enslavenent through invisibility. Many continued this after their escape, never returning to their homes or people.

Indeed, even before it became known that Morgoth and his Maiar trapped the wills of some elves, releasing them to serve his own purpose, there were stories about escaped thralls who lived as transients, sometimes even portraying them as dangerous or evil. These often ignored the stigma those who did return often faced, including verbal accusations, suspicion, shunning and even more violent forms of confrontation. Some of the survivors who did return to their communities left months or years later

Some of the suspicion of the Noldor originated both from their own experiences of Morgoth’s manipulation in Valinor and from stories told to them from Sindar, Silvan and Avarin elves of Beleriand; all three of these populations of course have their own lore and collective trauma regarding the members of their families and communities who have been taken by Morgoth

As instances of elves released at Morgoth’s command spread, the stigma towards survivors grows. Indeed, one has to imagine this was a large part of Morgoth’s intention. The practical or physical actions of individual elves who were released by Morgoth were largely minimally impactful in creating significant structural damage or casualties. Much, much more damaging is the fear and uncertainty caused by these events. Only a few need to have happened before widespread stories lead to even more intense widespread hostility towards Angband survivors.

There is a ghost story told by the scouts of Himring of elves who simply walk away into the winter wilderness and are never seen again. These elves were said to appear in a trance like state or to appear as though something has caught their attention. These stories are often implicitly associated with former thralls, who are often thought of or depicted as ghosts, transient, or otherwise eerie.

Even outside of Angband, an elf whose sister or husband has vanished only to return with little explanation…the dread this invokes

Part 1

Since it a bit different from the topic of the original post, I wanted to address this separately. {It helps me keep track of stuff I post here.}

I may be wrong since I read canon months ago, but somewhere in the extras, Luo Binghe mentioned that Shizun knows a bit too much about stuff. Shen Yuan tried to bullshit his way out of it saying he has read all the books in Qing Jing library, only to realise that straight A student Binghe has also read all the books. Basically, there's a hint in canon that Binghe is onto him.

So yeah, maybe in future, there would be some sort of reveal. The thing is, it most probably won't be initiated by Shen Yuan. Maybe Binghe will tour around his mindscape and find the system. Maybe he'll get his answers. Or maybe he'll come up with batshit conclusions. Who knows?

But I think Shen Yuan is unlikely to reveal things on his own. There are many reasons:

1. He has been conditioned by the System for years not to reveal System's existence.

2. He's unable to justify (to himself) his actions and the hurt that he's caused to LBH. To him, no explanation is good enough. If you've nothing helpful to say, don't say anything at all. [That's how Shen Jiu dealt with his issues too.]

That's why his idea of dealing with the aftermath of the Abyss was planned death for a clean start. He'd rather avoid LBH than be the person who betrayed him. After all, it's very hard to accept that you've hurt someone, esp someone you care and love deeply.

3. He liked playing the role of an elegant scholarly immortal. He's attached to that identity and prefers to maintain that status. It probably makes him feel cool and powerful. That's why, it's easy to discard "Shen Yuan".

SY died young. It's hard to accept yourself in your early 20s. Adolescence teaches people to be embarrassed of their interests and fear judgement. It takes years of unlearning shame to accept oneself. SY didn't have years to accept his truth before he died.

Labels like otaku/fujo etc are hurtful and demeaning. Not bec theres anything wrong with any kind of interests but because the words themselves are used for the purpose of belittling. It puts people into boxes of shame so they feel the need to hide themselves. SY probably found it easier to discard a society (and life) that'd put labels on him.

His shame is still internalised though even if no such judgements exist in SVSSS/PIDW world. No one is moral policing anyone for reading rpf erotica. No one is judging anyone for being gay.

If he admits to who he is, he's admitting to all the labels he carried from his other world too. That's not easy or fun. Better to play pretend a superior version of himself aka Shen Qingqiu.

Shen Yuan's way of dealing with LBH is to indulge him, reassure him, and prioritise him. Ever since he broke the OOC lock, that's what he has done. Even if he wasn't scared, he still would have loved LBH. That is him being himself.

With LBH, he has always been himself. LBH already knows all of his mannerisms, no matter how much he tries to hide behind the fan. SY finds his true self embarrassing or just hard to openly share with others. So being Shen Qingqiu gives him a chance to act like a wise, powerful, and admired mentor. It gives him the chance to be someone worthy of being loved by Luo Binghe. He probably thinks LBH loves him for these qualities. LBH, however, loves him in every form with all his inherent weirdness.

Maybe over time, LBH will feel secure enough in their relationship to ask questions. Maybe SY will have accepted himself and built the communication skills to answer them. Maybe with the passing of time, the hurt would have become manageable and it would be easier to talk about it.

For now though, he's taking his secrets to his grave.

The question on Darkwick's students' mind is whether or not it is true that vampires are inherently romantic. Just because they are aware of vampires being real doesn't mean they are not pre-disposed to popular media depictions of vampires. In fact, I'd say there's quite a small but vocal fanbase surronding Ed among the general students who find him alluring purely because he is a vampire, but this doesn't override the fact that most people are really scared of him.

When he is there with you, his phone is the last thing on his mind, and he is literally just like, sitting on you.

He is big on physical affection, and finds any and all excuses to have his hands on you, even if it's just the tips of his fingers on your shoulder, he is touching you constantly.

If you try to leave he'll be like "Why? do you not like me?"

For you he will leave his room... To go to your room.

He does not like being outside, so expect to be "kidnapped" (begged nonstop to show up to his room or for him to show up to yours) where you will experience the extreme addition of cuddling, which is just cuddling but you can't leave because you're warm and he's a sad old man so you can't just leave him alone like that.

If you tell him you're hungry or thirsty he will let you go get stuff (and text you after five minutes with a sad cat emoji saying he misses you)

Doesn't wanna see anyone apart from you sometimes, and wants you to agree to just be with him on those days and not let people send messages through you.

He's very easy to give affection to, all you need is to not care about anything else and basically pay him attention 24/7. He's very high maintenance and needs constant loving or he goes all sad.

When he does all his "I'm a little old man *cough cough" you are legally required to grab him and tell him you're there, and to then take him to his room to make sure he's alright.

Whatever joint or whatever he mentions is hurting at that moment is the place you need to kiss or pet.

"Awww your poor knee," and then just like kiss it briefly, "there, all better now?" and he will nod with a sad pout.

He likes forehead kisses and being called "baby", the combination of the two is lethal

He knows what you think, but he likes when you're honest with him anyways and tell him what you think out loud, he really likes good communication.

I also believe he loves telling stories about his life, and if you sit with him and listen to him, or better, if you ask him a lot of questions, he will be very pleased.

He loves handholding but won't initiate it himself for some reason, so you should hold his hand and he will like it lol

Simple, but responding to his texts as fast as possible is also really key to giving him affection.

As I mentioned, he's another one of the "baby him, he really needs it" line of ghouls, so yeah, baby him, he really needs it

By really needs it I mean that he seems kinda sad about his routine, and if you baby him and act like he's a little helpless creature that needs your love and attention he will be happier and feel seen and loved.

This one is very odd, but he likes if your contact name for him is something special and cute that stands out from the rest, like if everyone else is listed as "Rui-Senpai" or "Lyca-Kun" he would really like to be something like "Baby" or the way I call him lol if you're funnier, "Grandpa Ed", "Ed (insert several heart emojis)"

Also PDA. MASSIVE PDA FAN. Make sure everyone sees you hold his hand or hug him or call him "baby", he loves to make sure you get as much PDA done as possible if not to piss off everyone than just to show you off or feel like you're showing him off.

Saw a few posts talking about TM fanfic, so update time again!

Again the fandom has grown a lot going from 1225 fics on my last post to 2140 now.

We now have more teen rated fics than mature but our ratios are still unusual for a fandom. Excluding unrated, Explicit has dropped slightly from 47% to 45% and the Mature/Explicit grouping is likewise slightly lower now at 66% compared to 71%. It seems likely that this evening of ratings is a natural part of fandom growth.

Looking back at my original comparisons they were all big fandoms. For a comparison closer to our size: GTA V has a ratio of 62% combined explicit and mature- less than TM even though the subject matter is much more adult than our 'family entertainment' comedy show.

For similar shows content wise I decided to have a look at the combined explicit/mature percentages for: Would I lie to you (61%), College humor (40%) and Whose line is it anyway (37%) - which maybe suggests that britcom just gets people uniquely horny, but who knows??

As far as TM top tags go we have seen some changes:

with dom/sub being out of the top spot for the first time and aftercare and submission off the list.

Humiliation has also dropped off the list and established relationship is on which might reflect Greg and Alex's changing dynamics in recent series, as well as the tendency for established relationship to increase as a tag over time due to long running series.

Interestingly blow jobs are now differentiated from oral sex and we have a smut tag, which is likely just new writers with different tagging habits.

You can tell a lot about the fandom itself just from the fic on AO3. I’m looking at you Taskmaster UK.

Starting with the easiest bit - while I am very flattered by the thought, I didn't invent the ship nor its name! The first fic that I am aware of about these two was written by @plotdesigner and is called 'Hand in Gauntleted Hand'. The shipname itself came after, I got asked this question by someone else before and collected my 'research' in this post. (situations like these are when I am glad for my tagging system! XD)

As to why I ended up thinking of this pairing and began to ship them, and write about them, I think I saw so many parallels and similarities between them that got me; they both died the same season (though of course I still hope they might bring Adar back in the future), both of them through Sauron and rather painfully and tragically. They both don't have partners, they are leaders of their people, manipulated and used for Sauron's means. They both ended up resisting and defying him in some way, too, whether by (seemingly) killing him and freeing the uruk in the past, or by refusing Sauron's demands, and even Adar's decision to turn away from war and violence can be seen as resistance imo.

There are also differences that I found interesting; Celebrimbor likely lived through a sped up version of (some of) what Adar went through in the past under Sauron. One is the sole heir of an influential, famous elven family, the last of his line, the other is a nameless, former elf with no ancestors that we know of, first of his line, with many children, whether literally or figuratively. (To me it almost feels like a 'past and future' presentation.) Celebrimbor was named by his parents, Adar chose his own name. Celebrimbor is held in high esteem and founded his own city, Adar has to fight for the right to survive and have a home for his children, leading him to found Mordor. Adar founds Mordor in s1, Celebrimbor has his home destroyed by the end of s2.

(Also, I wasn't super versed in Silm lore when I started the series, but learning more about Celebrimbor's family history has only added more points to this; both of them must have lived through countless battles in Arda, perhaps even experienced the same ones from different 'sides'? And there are multiple references to Feanor in the series, with Celebrimbor's actions and deeds often being weighed and compared against those of his grandfather. Meanwhile, Adar is held responsible for and associated with Sauron and his cruelties. Influences they, likely, cannot so easily separate from and try to overcome, by besting Feanor and disavowing Sauron respectively.)

It's an intriguing combination of similarities and differences, to me at least.

And on a more personal level, my thought was that, if they met, a post-Sauron Celebrimbor might look at Adar and see the things he himself has just suffered and survived, and might therefore find a level of understanding and empathy for Adar that other elves might not reach; after all, if he has been manipulated and driven to create the Rings of Men despite his better judgement, someone else could have similar (and worse) happen to them as well, couldn't they? (He readily worked with Elrond and the dwarves, didn't have any reservations against Halbrand, showed understanding towards Galadriel.)

Meanwhile, Adar might see (a version of) his own past reflected at him, similar to what he did with Galadriel in the tent, though with Celebrimbor's experiences being different than hers. I imagine Adar might be able to help Celebrimbor move on from and overcome his trauma and guilt due to his own experiences and knowledge, give him guidance, and an understanding other elves may not be able to give Celebrimbor, due to not having endured the same thing.

I suppose that is the main thing that drew me in - in a sense, their individual experiences with Sauron serve as a connection between them, even if the two never meet on screen. (One might even argue that Sauron pits them directly against each other, via the siege.) Therefore, these experiences might work as a base from which they could build mutual understanding, empathy, and perhaps even more.

(Which, I also like the implications of that in general - that people who come from very different walks of life can recognize their similarities, set aside their differences, find comfort and connection in, and empathy for, each other after surviving awful things, help each other heal, and become stronger through this mutual kindness, affection, friendship (and more).)

And, as for what intrigues me about them being in a relationship - I think it is again a mix of similarities and differences. They both have elven roots. They are both leaders to their people and care about them, they have their own realms (though at different states, with Celebrimbor's either being finished or destroyed, and Adar's in its infancy), they are very driven when it comes to what they consider important. Celebrimbor is a craftsman, Adar has mostly known the fight for survival and is a fighter. Celebrimbor is royalty, Adar is not. Adar might be significantly older than Celebrimbor, the two have very different experiences of what happened through the ages.

It provides a lot of potential - for growth, understanding, drama, banter, humor, fluff, angst, healing, character studies, friendship, romance...

(As a sidenote, I also gravitate more towards m/m ships, which likely factors into this. Plus I think the fact that neither of them have canon partners in the series might have made me go "Oh look, wouldn't it be neat if they had someone as well?")

That being said, I could likely ramble even more. There is just a lot about silverscars that speaks to me, both when it comes to the individual characters and their potential as a ship. I hope that answered your question? I'd love to know!

First off this absolutely cursed AU was inspired by Lemonomelette and a post they made -X Secondly I imagine it all being about bots and cons trying to one up each others factions and not actually helping in any serious way because their too busy with their own faction bs.

Think of two rival car dealerships across the street one upping each other to get business and instead of business with cars its interstellar robot fairys trying to woo sm children to let them grant their inconsequential wishes (which may or may not be worth it) instead of the other guy next door.
