question: do ppl ACTUALLY say things they don’t mean when they’re angry? or is that just an excuse after letting something true slip? i wouldn’t ever say something i don’t mean in anger, so the concept confuses me.

but something was said to me that is bothering me, though apparently was said in an argument and wasn’t meant. but i don’t rlly believe it wasn’t like, deep down true thoughts/feelings??? anyone have any insight? anyone say things they don’t mean in anger?

EDIT: this was a hastily worded post that i didn’t expect to get notes. this is a genuine question asked in good faith that i got a lot of amazing answers to!

also re: the many ppl saying “OP is lying about not saying things they don’t mean in anger because everyone does it”— i genuinely have never done that. if i say something mean while angry, i meant it. that’s literally why i asked this question and why the concept confuses me, because i wouldn’t do something like that so i wanted perspective from people who do it. idk why y’all can’t believe that lmao not everyone is as prone to anger and outbursts

#ive been having power outages all day help me #my stuff #lisa rpg #bo wyatt #lisa garth #lisa the painful #i imagine hes saying do you liiiiike it :) with a deep yet nerdy voice #ok deranged thoughts time #yes i in fact like them becuz theyre both artists #but heres the thing #theyre both STRUGGLING artists who have a very deep bond with their art which reflects who they are as people #they both also suck at it lol #yet they continue cuz their art is their life pretty much #and i like to think that having another artist buddy would feel nice for them #especially in garths case it's like dude lives pretty much under a rock feels ignored by everyone cares too much about others reactions etc #either it becomes some sorta onesided artist rivalry or he becomes obssesed with the fact that there is another guy in the team #who knows what it's like #he would be all like YOU. YOU UNDERSTAND!!! and bo is just like lol #becuz while he struggles too he doesnt make a big deal out of it doesnt care about being underappreciated #like garth who is A BIG ATTENTION SEEKER #so imagining them hanging out and having this weird artist bond is cool to me #id also include jack cuz they all make an artist team but yknow SIGHHHHH #also i have different thoughts on what does art mean for jack since hes younger #these are definitely not all of my thoughts i am insane about artist characters #and yeah it could be said gart in this post is trying to get bo's attention #through a mix of what bo likes and what garth likes and it's a funny and cute thought to me #lisa ramblings #still love this post #lisa artist team #bogarth

The choice from Sunday is kinda weird cuz the options are build a cage in the house for the bird or build a nest where it fell and one leads to the bird growing up but dying once its set free and the other one probably leads to it dying much sooner. They both feel like the same option and even tho obviously the most kind, caring, morally right thing to do is keep it inside so at least it lives longer even if it's in a cage. But like to me both options suck and are basically nothing cuz I'm sorry if I look like a bad person for this, but I'm not sorry, but I'm not fuckin touching a wild animal. Even if I knew it was there even if I bothered to check out the sound to find a bird, which I wouldn't, I'm not touching it. I'm not even getting close enough to find out it's too young to fly yet. Whatever happens to it happens man and I'll never know what happens to it cuz I'm not even gonna look at it. Like, where's the 'you seem like an asshole but really it's quite a normal choice' in this whole trial thing??? That's usually an option you can pick. Sunday!!! Sunday, listen!!! There are more than two choices!!! You don't have to always do something!!!! You can just walk away!!! You don't have to try to do something for everyone all the time!!! Think about yourself sometimes!!! It's not selfish I promise!!! SUNDAY!!! OH MY GOD HIS WINGS ARE COVERING HIS EARS HE CANT HEAR US!!!!

If you think of it, many of the people in this fandom keep proving Monoma right and making his character have so much sense- like guys, class 1-B is not the lesser class. They aren't weaker than class 1-A, the classes weren't assigned by strength or anything like that. The only difference between the two classes is that the fucking MC is in one of them, which automatically makes them the center of attention. If Midoriya got assigned to class 1-B then no one would fucking think they're lesser than class 1-A lol.

"How Hagakure/Mineta/whatever got in class 1-A?" girl the question is how they got in the hero course, not class 1-A (which is a talk for another post, not this one). Them being in class 1-A doesn't mean they're automatically stronger than everyone in class 1-B

#Like I'm so fucking SICK of everyone still acting like class 1-B is weaker than class 1-A which is NOT #The manga si nearly done so fucking grow already #Monoma is so right to throw shade at class 1-A like. They're good too. if you imagine that guy from saw and he's sawing his own leg off in the bathroom but it's just like, a normal bathroom and he's not chained to the wall or anything and he really didn't have to saw off his leg at all but he imagined a situation in which he would have to do that so he decided to get it over with as soon as possible. well that's how i approach all my interpersonal relationships

#When everyone thought Cotton had attempted to murder that lady. And they all said he didn't deserve to be forgiven -#- and that he deserved to be in jail and hank considered disowning cotton as his father. Yeah #Cuz you know what? That's exactly how it feels to learn that someone close to you is a murderer #In this case cotton didn't actually do the crime and nobody died. But it still captured the feeling perfectly #I appreciate that even when it was revealed that bobby did it hank was still really frustrated and bobby could've faced severe consequences #He wasn't totally off the hook just because he was a kid or because it was an accident #Everyone was much more gracious with him than cotton. But he was still in a lot of trouble

My brother said something the other day about how no-one could prove if the current anti-Israel boycotts are actually making an impact cuz there could be other reasons people aren't eating at McDonald's or whatever

But besides the fact that there are many articles easily find-able online saying that the companies are aware of and feeling the impact of such protests, and some are even making some changes, I needed to make a point to him about why I participate in boycotts whether they're successful or not

But my brother tends to get annoyed and stop listening whenever I talk real politics, so I tried to make a really simple analogy

Let's say there's a man outside our house, and he is just beating people to death with sticks. Not people from our neighborhood, but still, people. We can't call the cops to stop him, because they think he's doing a great job. And we can close the blinds and ignore him, but he's still there and we know it.

And he has a big pile of sticks, so when one breaks he can get another to beat the next person to death with

So one day you have to go outside and the man turns to you and says, "Hey. Can you pass me a stick?"

And maybe it doesn't matter if you do or not. Maybe someone else will give him a stick anyway, or he'll get one on his own, or he'll start punching people

But I don't want to give him a stick.

And maybe I can't stop him, but I at least don't want to help him

At this point my brother tried to make a joke (because that's what he always does in every conversation) and he said something like "What if you don't give him the stick and then he beats YOU to death"

And I was like, "That's a great point, actually, because the Yemeni wouldn't let weapons shipments through their waterways so Israel bombed them."

And the analogy was broken but. I hope I made my point

Maybe I don't have the power as an individual half a world away to stop a genocide. But I at least want to not contribute to it
