So your reading is so interesting. I'll try to make it as cohesive as possible because some messages were harder to make sense of. To make the reading more interesting for me I channelled your personality etc before I got the other messages. Your aura is very intense. I got the vibe of a go-getter for sure. You have this vibe of confidence and channelling your energy wasn't draining at all. I felt almost more energised. I also think you're creative. Anyway, there's so much to get to so I'll stop rambling.

So I had to shuffle and shuffle because the cards were being stubborn about forming an overall message instead of just answering my question ahaha. I do see when you escaped or they disappeared, you had nobody to rely on. I do see this toxicity is in the past. Now you're probably like opia why are you talking about this? The thing is, when I started your encouragement section of the reading, I got a message of u doing great at transforming and learning to say no, but I really wanted to figure out why. So that’s when the storyline emerged.

I also thought I would mention, I got a few quick messages of why you met them and why you had to deal with them. My astro dice came up with scorpio and saturn. So this person was simply a karmic. A karmic you had to get rid of. Another reason is because you had to learn to stand up for yourself and speak up. The amount of cards I got about speaking up and saying no is actually ridiculous. I'm sorry pile 2 this reading is going to be quite difficult to read. But this is tarot it won't always tell you what you want to hear. So if you don't want to hear raw advice, please pick a different pile. If you want to stay please stay until the end it's worth it. My decks weren't playing around. When I got to your reading the energy just switched up. I felt so drained. To be honest I didn't really want to include this reading, because I hate draining readings, but i feel like this will help. I channelled your personality and I got the vampire card in reverse and I got the shadow card. Then I got the pain card, the venom card and I got the queen of swords in reverse. I then got the 5 of swords, 10 of wands, 4 of pentacles, the quincunx and the opposition cards. These were to represent your personality. I don't really know how to say this in a particularly soft way. But there's no need for me to be horrible about it, so I'll try to frame it in a way that's helpful. Your energy right now is particularly draining, I see you've dealt with so much hurt and trauma to be honest. This is not the type of post I really like to make, but I feel like it needs to be said better than to be left alone as I fear each time it's mentioned. Please be advised with the warnings of caution.

Tw: April 24, Mentions of s/a & the r word

As hopefully a lot of people know, April 24th is coming. What's April 24th? Well, that would be known as National R×pe Day. And yes, you read that right.

As I am saying this, I'd like to advise you what to do and use during said day with what I know.

1. Bring a friend and/or family member with you at all times. (Preferably someone who fights or someone who can help you out of the situation in any way possible.)

2. Stay home as much as you can.

3. Bring something with you if you ARE gonna go out and make sure it defends you or any other person around your surroundings. (Bat, taser, etc.)

4. Tell or share posts talking about the topic to others who may not be aware or who may not be aware of April 24.

5. If you see someone getting into a bad situation, I advise you go help the person out by pretending you know them (don't make it too crazy cus that would be unbelievable) or by simply telling someone to help out with the situation before things get worse for the individual.

6. If someone is trying to pressure you into being with them in any shape way or form, you have EVERY right to tell them no or to walk away. You don't owe that person anything. It'll be seem silly, but it's better to be safe than sorry.

7. Report or get away any suspicious behavior from an individual who seems to behave in a creepy way or in a way you don't feel is right.

I'm probably overreacting, cus obviously this has been happening a lot, but I've been seeing a lot of people talk about it and I fear about it. Like I said, it's unusual for me to post stuff like this, but I worry for everyone.

You know what's confusing?

People's lack of understanding of sexuality. Long story short. Sexuality is attraction to sex. Not attraction to gender. And one of the biggest reasons that certain types of activists have taken upon themselves to say that "Sex and Gender are different" but then also in the same breath say, "Oh well there's no real difference between the sexes. Then worse, you have people now VERY adamantly trying to say things like, "I'm a trans woman that's also a lesbian". No you are not. You are still heterosexual.

But what do I expect. This is what happens when words DON"T MEAN ANYTHING! And it's stupid. Because words used to have meanings. Now people want to be anything and everything all at the same time and it's the single most stupid thing in the world. I don't care if you are a man that likes to wear dresses and makeup. Wear dresses and makeup. That doesn't make you a woman. Hell Fem bois do that shit sometimes and they are still guys. And look. This isn't to say that trans people are not real. THEY ARE REAL, but that's not what I'm talking about. When did drag queens automatically become trans? Or part of the LGBT? Drag had been primarily used for performances and for prostitution early in the day. And participation was normally related to autogynephilia in a lot of ways.

The weird part about this is that it's a SEXUAL fetish. And when it comes to people that now currently identify as trans (not as drag) that are "trans" for that reason I find it creepy that people are dead set on referring to them as their pronouns. Why? Because you are for all intents and purposes forcing others to participate in another persons fetish. And as a person very informed about the broader BDSM community one of the BIGGEST things that is prioritized is CONSENT. When you have to force it, or in this case societally mandate it, you are basically demanding others be forced to help another person get off. I'm sorry that's just the truth. And you might not like hearing it, but it's the truth.

Frankly? I'm tired of living in a post truth world where "My Truth™" (IE: Your personal opinion) is taught to be the ACTUAL truth. Words are only supposed to evolve naturally. What we have seen is not that. It's been use of brute force to change the meanings of words into nonsense. Man might as well mean, "entity that identifies as neurodivergent disabled cat". Woman might as well mean, "entity that wears dresses and calls their non removed appendages or otherwise a 'Barbie Pouch' online". It's actual insanity. What's more, we have people that say that MALES can get pregnant. NO. THEY CAN'T. And no amount of "well maybe medical intervention could one day" No sorry that's not how this works. I'm sorry biology has opted to say, "I'm sorry you were not born in any way, shape or form, capable of giving birth".

Look. If you want to be a "pretty man" then be a pretty man. If you want to be a "Boyish woman" then do it. And stop forcing words to mean something they don't. Please. You are not making people like you more. And you are only seeking to confuse people. Society is already complicated enough. I don't need to also have to navigate the difficulties of, "Biological man, wearing lipstick, wearing typically masculine clothing, and a scruffy beard, identifies as woman, and also as lesbian; Is dating a woman, who is both cis and straight." For real that is the MOST STUPID thing. Just say you like lipstick. Jesus christ.

I will write for the Persona 5 confidants but I can’t guarantee to write them well

I will write for heavy topics such as anorexia and suicide, but only for the purposes of comfort. I am not in any way, shape or form romanticizing or fetishizing these topics. Content warnings will be tagged accordingly.

I can try to write for mental illnesses, but I’ll have to do research, and please correct me if I get a detail wrong, or if I need to put a trigger warning

Only platonic content for adult and child characters (ex. Sojiro Sakura, Zenkichi Hasegawa, the Warriors of Hope, etc.)

I can write for Morgana, but only in a platonic sense because... He's a cat

For Stardew Valley, I will write for all marriage candidates. Only platonic stuff for adult/child characters. Married couples are iffy, depends on the prompt

Please don't request characters from the Danganronpa anime (except Natsumi Kuzuryu) or any novels, fan games or whatever, as I'm not familiar with those. If that changes, I'll be sure to announce it

No palace rulers from Persona 5 or Persona 5 Royal, except maybe Maruki. Jail rulers from Strikers are iffy

I often struggle with lack of motivation, so I may take a bit longer to write certain requests, or may go a day or more without writing. Please be patient and don't attack me for being slow

If I deny a request, please do not send it in again. I always have a reason

If there's something about your request I don't understand, I will ask about it. I am not trying to annoy you, I just want to understand exactly what you're requesting so I can do my best job with writing it. Please be patient with me :)

And furthermore, I am currently not allowing any full cast requests for any of the Danganronpa games. They're too much for me, and I need a break from them. My max amount of characters per request is five.

BUT, I will allow requests for half a cast of characters (for example, the THH boys or the DV3 girls) Those are fine. That I can deal with. Just not everyone together.

And I will also allow requests for all the Phantom Thieves because those aren't as draining.

So! No requests for a full cast of characters. Please understand :)

Welcome To The Blog (Again)

I've remade this so many times at this point it's insane.

Greetings, my name is Angel (He/They) and I am the main mod of this blog (and also the main user). This used to be a ask blog run by two people, me and Bambi ( @pjofan10042 ). If they wish to reblog this and add onto it, they may. I come on here pretty often, and I have some pretty bad insomnia and sleep schedule, so don't be surprised if I'm on at 2am. I got off of Mountain Time zone, if that helps. Please respect that I will not be sharing my age publicly and I would like it if we can please keep it this way! If you know my age, keep it to yourself.

- I am an artist and writer and I mostly write fanfiction for what ever my hyperfiction is. I post fanfiction on AO3 and post my art here. I also occasionally work with my hands and make things such as jewelry boxes, fairy bottles, clay sculptures and dishes, and many other things. - I own a lot of pets and have a huge love for animals and probably know way to many facts about them. - If you give me the chance I can and will info dump. But only if it's ok with you, of course. - I use headcannons as a way to get closer to my favorite/comfort characters. It can/is a coping mechanism. It's ok if you don't like my headcannons. -I use tone tags if I feel my tone is unclear, and I'd prefer if you use them back. Or use a different form of showing tone over text if possible. - I am an undiagnosed neurodivergent person (as far as I'm aware, currently working on getting tested for ADHD ^^") who struggles with server anxiety and trauma. I am a very socially awkward person especially online. Please be patient with me and inform me if I have made a mistake. - I am in multiple fandoms, although I don't plan to bring anything up anything past Pg-14, I may talk about Helluva Boss or Hazbin Hotel once in a while. Though that may be rare. - I love horror games, including phycological horror. Anything that can scare me I tend to adore a lot! Some of my favorite games are Sally Face, Omori, and Fran Bow. But I also enjoy simple games like Just Shapes And Beats, Placid Plastic Ducks, Wobble Dogs, Cult Of The Lamb, Stardew Valley, Terraria, The Henry Stickmin Collection, Goat Simulator, Sonic Adventures 2, The Murder Of Sonic The Hedgehog, Pokemon, ect

I'm about to go on a probably incoherent ramble about how Bendy is indeed peak character design but also how shocked I am at the fact that I'm enjoying a horror game so much

Context: I'm not a fan of horror at all in any of its forms. Movies, games, literature, none. Nope. On all fronts, there is no reason why I would find my interest piqued by a horror game, of all videogames, and I certainly didn't dwell over to it because it's a horror game.

I found Bendy and the Ink Machine because every so often I like to browse around for music new for me, and I stumbled upon the songs that were created for the game, with my favorites being Build Our Machine and Welcome Home. Debating internally, because I know I am naturally very adverse to horror as a genre, I decided to watch a gameplay of it to test the waters and opt out in case I felt like it (thank you, jacksepticeye, for having played the game years ago)

So with that out of the way I kinda just want to scream WHY AM I OBSESSED

WHY am I finding it so enjoyable to feel inside a chilling environment, why is that rush such a.... well, a rush?!

And I really think it comes down to Bendy.

When I first saw Bendy, this very unique, very stylish character designed in the style of the old Disney cartoons, I thought "Cool!" And yes, he is indeed, very cool - his design is fuckin' amazing.

Now, the very first time I ever saw Bendy was in the video for Gospel of Dismay, so my first impression was cool looking character who dances and moves up and down! So cute! Cool!!! And, sure, listening to the song a first time was like super sweet and all-

Then I actually paid attention to the lyrics, and I realized "Ok, this isn't the bubbly pal I'm thinking he is"

To make the story short, I finally decided to watch the gameplay because I watched Welcome Home and realized he's fucking unhinged - and you know me, guys. I'm not really a stranger to an unhinged boi with an interesting design

What I'm really trying to get to is:

Look at this dude (reference intended)

IT'S A SCHMOL BOI, RIGHT?!

RIGHT?

(more below because this got really long lol)

No, you see, the thing about Bendy is that you're meant to have this first impression about him, and you're meant to associate those white gloves and those big pac-man shaped eyes with Mickey Mouse and others, which gives you a little mislead to follow, say, a "sense of comfort" when you associate him to things most of us have known as children.

But, have you noticed that a lot of those old Disney cartoons can feel creepy at times?

Bendy gives you this first impression because sure, he looks good and chummy, he was designed to be that, even ingame. Always smiling, dancing, etc.

What happens with Bendy is that the more you look at him, the more you stare at that unwavering grin and look into the shape of the eyes, something becomes unsettling. Bendy's first impression morphs with time the more you look at him and the more you watch him, for example, in the music videos; he appears angry, cocky, mocking, etc, no longer just the happy smiling dancy boi TM you first believed him to be. And, what's more is, you don't even need the rest of the music videos or the context for this to happen, staring at him is enough for you to, at one point, become unsettled by his presence. (love that word for this lol)

Taking Welcome Home as an example, which is the animation that ultimately made me obsess over this character's design (gosh, if you haven't watched it, do so!!) you see Bendy juxtaposed: what he was meant to be with what he's become, and you see some expressions like these (and these were seriously just my favorite look at that unhinged BOI-)

And, my favorites, which precisely show a spiral from what could have been to what turned out, and the pain felt over it in some deep corner (these frames are in one same sequence):

Please, give me characters who show pain over what's happened to them shifting into the fury and rage that they feel because it's happened to them--I want to forgive you, I want this to be better, but I'm furious that because of you I am in this living hell and it's been so long that this is the only way i know now--this is good shit as far as my historic preference in characters goes

And don't let me forget THE UNHINGED BOI:

talk about unsettling-

and this was all progressive. The more you see him, look at him, see that he's not the smiling happy boi, you fear him more - understandably. The concept is very logical and not revolutionary in itself, but what I'm saying is, applied to this character, it's pulled off incredibly well thanks to his base design. (Kudos to the animators who worked on this!)

What's even more mesmerizing to me is that this is the exact same principle the game uses in its own gameplay. Yes, when you start playing Bendy and the Ink Machine, you know you're in for a horror game and you expect certain things, and I'm not an expert on this since it's my first horror game pretty much ever but I expected jumpscares and gory images and shit.

While there are a few in what I've seen so far of the game, and the gore is ink rather than blood, the game doesn't rely on this.

No, the game lets you play through it in an eerily silent environment, where in many corners you will see that same. smiling. face. staring right at you, unblinking, unmoving. Watching you. Little by little, you learn of Bendy, you learn of Boris, of Alice, you learn of the people who put their lives (quite literally) into them and slowly, the game becomes more unsettling, filling you with a greater sense of dread the more you become immersed in it.

I think I'm so obsessed with this game currently because it's pulled off so well that even I, someone who runs away from horror, am captivated and mind-blown by this (but also, it's not a brutal, gross horror like what I would never engage with, rather a subtle horror that builds up in the environment that almost feels more psychological and is, I believe, harder to pull off).

I don't really think it's safe for me to write long form for awhile. At least not longer than this. I woke up last morning at like five am and I caught the same CTA worker with bleach blond hair from the platform sweeping and staring out at my kitchen. Probably waiting for me to blog about them. It's become enough of a pattern to feel it is invasive and it happens on state and federal property. Nothing I can do about it because they think my kitchen is public space. Another neighbor was up early yesterday around the same time staring in. I've caught her boyfriend following me around trying to grief me for years. Then there's somebody I've never seen pacing back and forth with a cigarette at the property next door smiling maniacally. I walked out the morning of my interview and some ginger in a Sox hat I caught following me around lurking around the corner next door trying to be intimidating. You try to interact with them and they just stare back at you like it's some fair game scientology shit. I go to get my amazon packages at a drop box now and people follow me around and take my picture. People also try to flag me down politely only to blow weed in my face too. Somebody likes something I post about shaping the future and there's a man in black with a police flag shirt staring back at me in my window from the platform again. Real creepy shit. I paid my rent five days early again. There's no renovations to my apartment. Not like I dare ask. Nobody texts. Nobody calls other than my parents sometimes. Military, lawyers, and political science majors from London stalk my LinkedIn. No job offers. Just resume sent after endless resume. I just take all this as matter of fact really. But my life is going nowhere and at a dead end. People just want to be mean and try to hurt me. And they use this platform without any protection from the services this website provides which probably takes money from ads targeting me. I wouldn't know really I'm ad-free. But I was a target of the proud boys all the way back in 2015 in New Zealand when I visited somebody who worked for WETA digital. I was even detained illegally in Gold Coast Australia by some proud boy TSA during that trip. Don't ask me to trust anyone from the music community ever again including my old boss. I'm getting really sick of trying to outline that I'm a marginalized identity while my neighbors use my porch as some Diversity Equity and Inclusion experiment to microcuck a micro aggressive agenda of imposter syndrome. I still wish everybody happy Pride amongst my gay friends. But please be aware the Proud boys named themselves purposefully that to culturally appropriate your movements. They do it with club music all the time and act like it's a joke. I'm not proud of the world around me lately. The president is in town Wednesday. Maybe he'll cuck me from the train platform too. Karma is a mother fucker. He really had the nerve to invite a PM that killed muslims to the White House to do yoga the around the ending of the Hajj. Euphemistic communication indeed. No use arguing with them or participating in their podcast circle jerks. Just threat them like the white male terrorrists they are and stay away unless you are taking money from them. That is kind of morally fucked up using them as your bogeyman in that respect. Who enabled who? Acting like they turned nazis overnight is a convenient lie when you’ve known them long enough to get a career boost. Some people were abused into thinking they were good people. But some of you are just like them deep down and have no excuse. Arguing with them or making them your crusade is only going to make things worse.. I of all people should know. So I have to ask is that your point to all of this? Publicity shouldn’t have to cost you your soul. Or the lives of good people who are targets off stage. At least I have nothing to hide anymore #personally speaking.

DISCERNMENT

Discernment is the ability to judge well and, in religious contexts, understand spiritual progress.

Discernment is vital to any thriving, stable religious community, practice and individual for without it, we can lose ourselves. We can mistake our own voice for the voices of the gods.

Not everything is a sign, a spirit, a god, an ancestor or magic.

I think all of us know when, and when not, to yell " AHA, MAGIC!", however for my peace of mind please go thru' this with me:

Before saying "Oh a spirit is here/talking to me" :

Have you taken your meds?

Are you 110% sure you don't have ANY underlying medical condition that may cause you to hallucinate in any way, shape or form?

You smell something weird? Go get your house inspected for mold, a gas leak or a dead animal hiding somewhere in your home.

Cold Spots? Again. Get your home checked out.

Creaking when no one is home? Your house/building is probably shifting/setting in, it happens to both old and new builds. Get it inspected just to be safe.

Sibling or child saying weird ass shit they shouldn't have any idea about? They probably have an imaginary friend, having fun by saying things they have seen/heard on the net, TV or from other friends. If it still freaks you out, seek a mental health professional to rule out anything that could be causing them to say creepy-ass things. Better safe than sorry.

Hearing thumps in the dark of night? Check to see if any trees or bushes are hitting your house, make sure an animal you aren’t aware of isn’t making the noises, hell, yell at your neighbors if you share a wall/ ceiling . If you can’t find a cause, get it checked out by a professional.

Scratching in or on the walls? Could be a rodent or your own pets. Get it checked out.

Is there any physical explanation outside of yourself for the sign you have received, maybe a friend or family member you didn't know was home? Is the radio or TV on in the other room? Is your neighbor watching a movie, listening to music very loudly? Is this animal that you are suddenly seeing a lot of and interpreting as a sign actually just more active this time of year and very local to your area? Did someone just walk by wearing way too much perfume?

If things happen when you think of them it’s possible you might be placebo-ing yourself into believing a spirit is causing this. For example, you see a roll of paper very close to the edge, you think "It's gonna fall" and it does. It was close to the edge, of course it'll fall at one point or another.

Have you eaten enough? Have you had enough water to drink? Have you had enough sleep?

If you have checked all mundane reasons for what is being experienced by you or someone you know, then go onto spiritual reasons. You can always cleanse or pray before you get things checked out, but to assume it’s always a spirit is dangerous. You could put people at risk especially if it’s just rodents, a creaking house, or a gas leak.

Those problems can easily be taken care of if dealt soon enough with, however ignoring them can lead to a lot worse, especially if thinking it's a spirit without second thought. Mass hysteria is real people.

Spirituality should not replace mundane reasons.

"But what if I am 99.99% sure it IS a sign/spirit?" you say... Well

How often does x, y and/or z occur in your life?

If xyz occurs so much, to the point where you usually don’t even notice it anymore, it is probably not a sign.

Do you normally see xyz this time of year or during this time of the day?

If xyz is normally seen during that time of year, it is probably not a sign, when I'd visit my grandparents in the country side I'd always see toads during the night. Animals and birds can be local to the area, as can plants

Is xyz a common thing that science explains?

If science can quickly explain something away, static electricity, your device shutting down due to overheating, or something else really mundane, it, probably, is not a sign.

"I keep seeing x animal, THAT must be a sign!"

Is the animal often seen? IS THE ANIMAL LOCAL TO THE AREA?

Did seeing the animal create a specific feeling or change an existing one? Did the animal give a specific mental imagery?

Was the animal doing anything out of the ordinary?

Have similar displays been seen recently but not commonly?

"I received message through a dream" ok, but:

Do you usually remember dreams?

If you don't usually remember dreams, this could indicate a potential message the dream might give a specific and literal message, or interpretation may be required, however I'd still be skeptic, the human mind is a crazy place.

The dream keeps on repeating?

If the same dream keeps occurring, many people try to see if there is a meaning behind it, for example, if the same thing keeps happening over and over in one dream, it could show importance in said repeated thing.

"I keep seeing the shape of xyz in abc" (such as clouds, smoke, liquids, plants et cetera):

Are you prone to seeing shapes? Were you looking for shapes with someone already in mind? Are those shapes really what I think they are or just there because I am thinking of xyz?

Are you seeing other random shapes?

Is it really a shape or are you grasping at straws?

Some people see shapes or faces in everything( see: face pareidolia) while others do not, which category are you ?

SPIRITUALITY SHOULD NOT REPLACE MUNDANE REASONS. SPIRITUALITY SHOULD BE AN ACCESORY TO SCIENTIFIC WAYS.

"AHH!" You shriek, as your boyfriend squeezes you from behind. You pull out your earbuds and pause your music, spinning around to face him before you. "You SCARED me, Taehyung!"

Taehyung softly chuckled, taking you into his arms. "Awwww my baby... I'm sorry." He cooed, not taking your scolding seriously.

You pull your face away from his gentle hands, as he leaned closer to cup your cheeks... but pouts when he's denied.

"What if a sasaeng broke in and grabbed me or something? Its scary enough to be in such a big house all by myself, you know I'm always looking over my shoulder... because I'm scared of ghosts, and stuff going 'bump' in the night."

"But not us going 'bump' in the night, right?" He mischeviously smirks, taking your hand into his, examining your face with half-closed, lulled eyes.

"Taehyungieeee-" you whine, playfully scolding him to pay attention, as a blush surfaces over your whole face. "You know I scare easily."

"I do too, precious." He quietly assures, before groaning. "OKAYYYY, I won't suprise you off guard anymore... no matter how cute or amusing your reaction may be-" he murmured in submission, letting out a long sigh. "Can't I just... hold you now?"

You blush, as he guides your hand to his lips, pressing a delicate kiss against the back of your hand. "I missed you all day... you're usually with me at the studio, or waiting with those yummy muffins after dance practice."

You giggle. "You mean the ones I lie to PD-nim about? Saying they're faux muffins, that are really veggie-based, to enhance protein and carb burning?" You ask, lifting your eyebrows in an amused way.

"Yeah, those ones..." Taehyung sighs with a pout. "All the guys love them... even Mister Bang now."

"He does, doesn't he?" You grimace, remembering the tray you made their boss recently, per-request. "I feel bad about lying, now that he thinks they're okay to eat all the time..."

"NOOO we can't lose our muffins!!" Taehyung playfully whines, clinging onto your arm. "He'll make us diet if he knowssss!"

"It sounds like you miss my muffins more than me." You smirk.

Taehyung scoffs, shaking his head, before planting several, slow kisses, up your arm.

"No, there's nothing I wouldn't give to have you by my side. Every day... muffins or no muffins." He giggles, towering over you and gazing into your eyes. "I missed you today."

"I missed you too, Tiger. I had been needing to do some artwork for my webtoon panels." You smile, booping his nose. "I'm trying to build an audience for my own work!"

Taehyung gently groans, pulling you in close by your waist. "You know... I can reccomend it to army on weverse or twitter. You've always been the best story teller I know... so its not like I'd be making up any praises about how amazing it is..."

You run your fingers through his soft hair, as he nuzzles into your neck. You can feel his breath slowing, huffing against your skin to breathe you in. He sends a shiver down your spine, slowly squeezing his hands over your hips, almost like... he's kneeding dough.

"Tae... y-you know I want to make something for myself..." you blush, as his hands sensually explore their way up your back. "I want to have self-made sucsess, doing what I love. It means a lot to me, to say that I did it, without anyone's help."

"Mmmm... my pretty little buisness CEO... I love it when you're ambitious and driven."

You scoff, wriggling in his hold. "Oh please, Tae... I'm not little, c'mon." You blush, this time out of embarrasement.

He can feel your body grow stiffened in his arms.

"Why can't I just praise you?" He whispers, almost saddened that you won't accept the admiration.

He leans back and stares into your eyes, with a small childish pout of dissapointment on his lips. His eyes are big and glossy as they penetrate your soul... like that of a puppy.

Its so wonderfully strange how he can look so intimidating and sexy sometimes... then all of a sudden so soft and baby-ish.

And right when he had you where he wanted you, softening your attention to be on him and distracted... of COURSE he would try to snag a move on you again. There went his large, manly hands... gently gripping and easing into a subtle squeeze on your waist skin... before sliding so slowly and delicately down to your bubbly buttcheeks.

Ah those thick buns and 'thicc' thighs. You love them then you hate them... they jiggle when you move, they always have. And... they have those small dimples in them. You always felt hesitant to let your boyfriend touch the soft spots, worried he may be turned off by the texture of your squishy skin, or how your body isn't tight like his own body. And yet... his gaze and hands always wandered there most... he was so needy for those areas, always trying to weasel his way into exploring them.

You were pretty confident about your big breasts, however. Those didn't make you feel like 'too much' for him. Well... besides the faded stretchmarks from them growing so quickly during middle school. Puberty... it just kinda hit you like a truck. You went from looking like a scrawny child to looking like a shapely woman with a baby doll face.

Parents would get mad at you trick or treating, assuming you were a college student dressing up and requesting candy. And those pervy older men were always such a pesty, creepy problem. All this to say, you became very aware of your body, very fast. Your other classmates were still skinny and shapeless, with more boxy frames than curvy frames, and none of the boys in your class ever seemed to be attracted to you, over the girls like them.

As Taehyung has said once before though... a young boy wants to knaw on bones, while a grown man hungers for the meat.

"Did you just compare me to meat?" You asked him after the fact.

"No! No... that's not what I..." He giggled, shaking his head. "Its just an old saying, that I only really understood when I grew up. Basically, women with shape are the sexiest to men... but teenage boys are attracted to a more child-like, thinner look." he quietly said.

His words echoed through your head, before you attention re-gathered in the moment happening now.

"You're little to me..." he innocently cooed.

Yes, I suppose height-wise you were shorter than your tall boyfriend. But you always wondered if you looked too... big... standing next to him. He was so lean... with practically no fat on his firm, toned body. But you were soft all over. And seeing Taehyung at award shows... surrounded by all of those dainty, tiny girlgroup idols... they looked like they could fit in his hands. But you... you felt so big sometimes, with your foreign genetics.

Taehyung never seemed to care, and he never said anything but praises, but you still wondered in the back of your mind. Did he think you were too much for him?

Taehyung liked a challenge. The more you shyed away, the more he pressed into you, cradling you in his grasp. (He knew the difference between you being shy versus being non-consenting, and NEVER went against your limits or desires. He read people quite well, especially you...)

"Taehyung..." you gulped, feeling your lips trembling to get the words out. "D-do you think I'm... f-fat?" You stammer. The look on his face is almost appalled, angered. Who would make you have such a false impression?

"What?" He repeated. "Fat? Absolutely NOT." He corrected, tilting up his chin confidently.

"B-but... according to Korean standards..." you muttered, beginning to ramble now that pandora's box had been opened. "I'm-"

"Don't say it." He coldly ordered. "Korean beauty standards are unrealistic and drive even the skinniest and prettiest of Korean women to get surgeries that promise an 'ideal image'. But, everyone is perfect exactly as they are. I know you know that, and you know I know that too. So, screw what advertising comanies call the 'ideal image' in my country or yours. Ideal image, my ass."

"Taehyung!" You gasp, suprised that he swore. Your boyfriend wasn't one to swear... it was a rare quality about him.

The way he worded it made you chuckle at a realization.

"Well, your butt is indeed the ideal image..." you murmured, making Taehyung smirk to see you amused and feeling a little better.

"I'm glad you think so, Jagiya~" he cooed, guiding you to the couch without his arms leaving your waist. You trusted him wholly, to guide you backwards, or anywhere.

Taehyung suddenly slipped his arm under one of your knees, making you yelp as he pulled your thigh up against the side of his body. He confidently smiles all the while, his intimate gaze never leaving your eyes. You feel his hand squeeze the thigh, and you could tell he was doing it less for support to lift you onto the couch, and moreso to feel your volumptuous form in his grasp. Ohhh he loved your thighs... your soft, lovely thighs...

He slowly leaned into you, guiding you to recline back onto the expensive, large, comfy couch.

You giggled, as he leaned all of his body onto you, squishing you playfully under him.

"Taehyung!" You laughed. "You're squishing me!"

"I want all of my body to be against your perfect body." He sweetly grinned. "There's not an inch of me that doesn't belong to you."

"Well, you're suprisingly heavy..." you playfully pout, succumbing to the comortable pressure his body was pressing into you. It was arousing, actually...

"And you're suprisingly light." He gently remarked, flipping you both so you were on top of him. You knew he didn't mean that in a bad way.

"Or you're just strong..." you sighed.

"Maybe I'm strong... but your body is perfect to me. The way you FEEL..." he began, greedily squeezing his palms over the softest parts of your thighs. "The way you LOOK..." he hungrily growled, almost an octive deeper... sending a shiver through your core as he drank in the image before him. His eyes widened as they scanned over your bouncing large breasts in his view, as he watched you sit up, straddling him as he lied there. The smile on his face was pleasured, pleased. He was a happy man to have you on top of him, no matter how light or heavy you were... he WANTED you to press your lovely form into him. "The way you walk... so bouncy and sexy... I feel jealous about how the hyungs check you out when your back is turned." His voice turned devilishly lower... deeper... as if wrathful for revenge. "Its a crime that any man gets to see your godess-like form standing before them, besided me."

"Th-they do that?" You blush, not realizing the rest of the boys saw you in that way.

"Mhmm... all of them do. Its soooo not fairrr..." he grumbled under his breath, almost purring as he took in the sight of your squishy tummy against his chest, and your juicy thighs around him. "Kitten~" he desperately sighed. "I get so HARD, just IMAGINING how you look IN clothes that cover you completely... let alone the f-fantasies of you naked~" he humms, with a hitch in his breathy whispers.

"Hh-huhh..." he sighs, his breath hitching again, as his eyes lazily roll into the back of his head, before re-drifting back down onto you. Just the remembrance gets him THAT hot and bothered??

"For realsies?" You coyly, bashfully ask.

"Of course, kitten. Would I lie to you?" He asks, raising his eyebrows with a confident smirk.

"Maybe... if it would make me feel better..." you dissapointedly assume.

He sits up, supporting himself on one of his arms, making his chest press against your breasts through your shirt. You were face to face now... just staring into one another's eyes.

"NEVER." He assured. "I would never lie to you. There's no reason for me to lie to make you feel better, Jagi. You're literally a goddess."

You feel your cheeks flume red. "G-goddess?"

"Yes! Renaissance masters didn't sculpt ideal greek godess statues with soft curves for nothing..." he grumbled, blushing at the sight of your innocent face.

"Ohh Taehyungie..." you dreamily sighed, leaning fully against his chest as he slowly lowered you both down, to lie against one another horizontally.

"The way our bodies are so different... the way yours is so soft comared to how hard and stiff mine is... its perfect." He gently cooed. "I'm surpised that you're so comfy in my arms."

"Oh Tae, you're my safe place. I love how you feel... I love how you hold me." You intimately whispered.

He stared deeply into your eyes, as a gentle smile rested on his admiring, sculpted, handsome face.

"Didn't you find me during our Love Yourself era?" He asked, cocking a brow.

"Mhmm." You responded, rapidly nodding your head up and down in such a soft, innocent way.

Taehyung giggled, endeared at your cuteness. "Okay then. I want you to love yourself... because I love you. All of you."

He gently lifted your loose shirt up enough to grab onto your waist, running his hands slowly down the sides of you, to squeeze your soft tummy in his hands, his eyes practically glistening with desire.

"Ever inch of you... every hair, every patch of skin, every tint and shade, every texture. You belong to me, and you're the sexiest being in existance. And all of me belongs to you, only you, forever. Alright?" He romantically assured, gazing hopelessly into your eyes.

The soft smile that pulled into his lips, let you know the fullest sincerity of his tone. "Okay." You smile, leaning into his lips to kiss him.

Slowly, passionately you kissed, deepening the intimate act with every second. Soon enough, your hands were running all over one another, tilting your heads to reach your tongues into the deepest parts of your mouth. Body to body... you both were perfect, together and apart, exactly as you are... he loved you.

First of all, thanks for replying. And thanks to the people in the notes who followed up, as well. In terms of interests, while I would love someone who shares a lot of them, I really only have one that's necessary. As an aspiring game developer, games are my art form, especially the world building and the mechanics and systems in place. I want someone who shares this love, who I can bond over with. Anything else would just be icing on the cake. In terms of appearance, I'd prefer if she were shorter than me by a good amount, ideally at or below 5' 6" but I'm fine as long as she's not above like 5' 10". I'm not the leanest person myself, I've got a little belly, but I'm working on it and slowly losing weight. I don't mind if she's a little chubby either, but if she's really fat I just can't go with that. I'm probably a little hypocritical here as I'd obviously prefer someone who's in shape, but I can find some heavier women attractive as long as they're short and feminine. I dislike body modifications, and would prefer someone without any, but I could deal with a few small tattoos and a few piercings, as long as they're not gauges or septum piercings. And obviously she needs to want kids (but not have any), needs to be not a full-on leftist (I'm fine with a centrist, conservative, or ideally a libertarian), and just have a nice personality that gels with mine. I tend to be a pretty low-key, somewhat boring person, and have trouble dealing with people who have "big" personalities. I find that at my age, it's hard to find someone who wants kids but doesn't have any, and who likes games but isn't butch or seriously fat or really punk or whatever. Those are pretty much my lines in the sand, appearance and personality-wise. Do I have too many of them? Are there things I should care less about? As I said, I've never been in a relationship, so I really don't know what's important and what's not. I'm just basing what I want on what I personally prefer.

And I know what I need to do to become more attractive, myself. Lose some weight, get a better job, move out. Is there anything else I need to do, and what should I prioritize? Right now I'm thinking about trying for a raise at work, but I'm also worried it'll put me over the pay limit for subsidized healthcare, and I've got a lot of health problems that are out of my control. I'd need to jump to a job with actual benefits to make it really worth it, so it'll be hard just moving up gradually.

And finally, just because I'm spilling everything out here anyway, there's a girl at work who recently broke up with her boyfriend of 5 years who I've been becoming quite friendly with. She's always enjoyable to talk to, and she seems to like me at least as a friend. However she's not got a lot in common with me. There's a guy who clearly likes her, and she has a friend that's probably into her, and I knew her ex and they all have a similar look that's very different to me. I think she also tends to go for "bad boys" and I'm definitely not one of them. She recently asked about my interests and stuff kind of probing more deeply, but since I basically haven't had any friends for years I don't know if that's just what's normal or if she's actually a little bit interested in me. Honestly I'm not sure what to do or if I should even do anything. She's basically a normie and I'm borderline autistic. I'm not used to anyone actually being interested in anything about me and I don't know how to tell one kind of "interest" from another. And considering she's a coworker and I enjoy her company, I don't want to fuck anything up. What do I do?

Ok there's a lot to unpack here...

First of all, I'm not going to be that person who tells you looks don't matter because let's all be honest here for a second, they do and anyone who says otherwise is lying for internet morality points. Obviously if you're going to date someone, you need to not be repulsed by their physical appearance.

But. Looks are not the most important thing and they're also not permanent. Plus in my experience, the more you get to know someone, the more attractive they become to you because you just see people differently when you love them. So don't worry so much about finding the most beautiful girl you've ever seen, or being the most handsome guy she's ever seen. When it's right, that stuff will handle itself.

(Also, I'm not saying you did this, but if you put all that in your online dating profile, please delete it immediately because it will scare women off if it's public and even if it's just for the algorithm, you're probably losing a lot of potentially good matches by being too specific)

I would think a little more about personality. It can be a lot harder to define that than appearance, but that's the part of her that you're going to really fall for. What does "big" personality mean to you? Does that mean just being loud, or is it a certain kind of humor, or just being extroverted or outgoing? Think a little about the people you enjoy spending time with and figure out what it is about them that makes you want to be around them. Interests are a good starting point, but try to think about what drives those interests and how they express them.

And think about you too. How would you describe yourself? I'd guess with your interest in game development, you probably have a big imagination and attention to detail, yeah? Do you have a dry sense of humor, maybe? Are you a patient person? Do you prefer to be busy or to take it easy? When you get stressed out, what calms you down? What are your values in life?

Think about what kind of person complements all that. Remember you're looking for a partner, someone to build a life with. That means the two of you have to make a good team. You'll bring out the best in each other and compensate for each other's weaknesses.

As for the changes you think you need to make, I'm going to let you in a little secret about women: there is nothing sexier to us than a guy who has his shit together. And that doesn't mean you need a fancy law degree and a six figure office job and a mortgage. It means knowing who you are and what you want and be working a clear, realistic plan to get there.

So yes, everything you mentioned is probably a good idea because it sounds like that will help you have more confidence and get on more solid ground with your life and future. But as for what you should do first, just focus on what is best for you, not for some hypothetical future wife you haven't met yet. It sounds to me like you've still got some healing to do and that needs to be your priority.

But when you're ready, the only thing to do is start talking to people and go on lots of dates that will mostly go nowhere. That's okay. The point is to meet girls and see if there's enough there for a second date, then maybe a third, and so on. You're not looking for something that's perfect right away. You're just looking for a starting point to build something more from.

In your case, yes, you probably do need to find a girl who at least has some interest in video games. It's going to be too much of your life for her to not at least be willing to indulge you when you want to talk about the game you're working on. I would guess that there are a lot of girls in "nerd" category who maybe don't know much about video games but would be interested if someone they cared about wanted to show them. Or if you really want to start off with just a pool of people who are as interested in game development as you, I'd hazard a guess that there are conventions or online forums on the subject. Maybe check out some of those and just start talking to people. Maybe it goes nowhere. Maybe you make a new friend. Maybe more. Who knows?

As for the girl at work, I think you're setting yourself up to get hurt. Girls who go for bad boys don't usually change their habits easily. She may be interested in you because you're not like her ex and she's trying to try something different, but that doesn't usually last. It isn't that you're doing anything wrong, it really is just how girls like that are. And it doesn't make any sense but it's how it is.

In general though, if you're getting to know a girl and you're not sure if she's looking for a friend or a boyfriend, it's okay to ask. Don't be creepy about it or anything, but it's okay to say something like "I just want to make sure I'm not reading too much into this." And be prepared to drop it if she says she just wants to be friends.

(Also my rule for dating coworkers is this: if it's a job you plan to stay at long term and you work closely together, the answer is no. If it's more of a temporary thing or you really only pass her in the hall once a week, that's probably okay as long as your company doesn't have some policy against it)

Bottom line, you're overthinking this. Love isn't logical. You can make all the plans and checklists in the world and none of them matter because that's just not how it works. Trust me, if it was, I'd be married by now too.

All you can really do is be the best version of yourself for you, meet a bunch of people, probably get your heart broken a couple of times along the way, and eventually you'll find someone who makes it all worth it.

As a side note, are you in a good church? If you're a person of faith at all (and I'm an atheist, so no judgement if you're not), I think having a community like that around you would be good for you right now.

Movie Review | Forbidden World (Holzman, 1982)

Forbidden World has an aesthetic that's a mix between Star Wars and Alien and a story with a little bit of the former and a lot of the latter. The movie opens with a modest bit of spectacle, a space battle in the vein of the former movie but on a fraction of the budget. At this time we're introduced to a droid, who awakens its master so they can fend off their aggressors. The droid, whose personality brings to mind a less bumbling C-3PO but whose appearance resembles that of a stormtrooper, is not an unpleasing presence but lacks the charm of the robot with a Southern drawl from Luigi Cozzi's Starcrash. Director Allan Holzman was thrust into directing the opening sequence with no script and the barest minimum of instructions from Roger Corman (something about a robot, an astronaut, four days and... Lawrence of Arabia, if he needed inspiration). What he turned out is a passable approximation of the thrills offered by Star Wars, but not much of the personality. Had the movie stayed at this level, it may have been reasonably enjoyable, but this being an '80s Corman production, the proceedings must be spiced up.

By which I mean blatantly ripping off Alien in as trashy a way as possible. The hero, some kind of space military problem solver dude, gets assigned to investigate a violent incident at a research station at a remote desert planet. It turns out that the scientists there are researching experimental food sources and ended up developing a dangerous new organism that ended up killing all the other test animals. The hero wisely suggests killing it ASAP, but the scientists prevent him from doing so, only for the organism to escape, mutate and proceed to kill off the inhabitants one by one in a series of reliably gruesome gore scenes. The organism, referred to as a metamorph (not a xenomorph, it's completely different, what are you talking about, please don't sue), starts off as a goopy black shape and evolves into a final form that equally resembles the monster from Alien and the plant in The Little Shop of Horrors. (Be warned that it looks nothing like the monster on the poster.) It's worth noting that while this lifts the plot from the Ridley Scott movie, it lacks the satirical bite of that movie and its sequel, as the motivation for preserving the lifeform is much more altruistic rather than the nakedly capitalist reasons in those other movies. It's also worth noting that like those movies, the protagonists eventually realize that the creature can't be reasoned with, but not before trying to communicate with it through a computer. (The screen flashes "Please stand by" in the movie's funniest scene.) At one point they try to stake out the creature in its cocoon, and the movie again brings Star Wars to mind with the atrocious accuracy of their blaster fire.

The 80s were the decade where Corman apparently became a full on cheapskate (rather than an astute but artistically nurturing pennypincher in previous decades), a quality I'd found visibly detrimental in Jack Hill's Sorceress from the same year. Corman's frugality here manifests mostly in the recycling of sets from Galaxy of Terror, shot here in cramped setups and bathed in garish lighting. Some may find it striking; I found it rather ugly, but at least not blatantly squalid. The cast also lacks any notable names, although those with similar tastes as mine may recognize June Chadwick, David St. Hubbins' lady friend in This is Spinal Tap, and Fox Harris, who played a mad scientist of sorts in both Repo Man and Dr. Caligari. (This appears to be better liked in my Letterboxd circle than Galaxy of Terror, but I'm afraid I can't agree. That movie has a much better cast, including a delightfully off-kilter performance by Grace Zabriskie as a hotshot pilot with PTSD, moodier cinematography and many more monsters. It does however mislead its audience less as it's actually set on a single planet like it says in the title, while the other movie suggests a galaxy-wide saga that never materializes.)

It compensates for the aforementioned lack of star power and accompanying forgettable characterizations with a greater emphasis on schlock, especially in terms of sexual content. Now, as a straight male, I won't pretend I don't find the sight of good looking ladies in the buff at least somewhat pleasing, but I would also like a movie to maintain some level of dignity in delivering the goods, and this movie definitely strains in that regard. Despite the presence of a murderous, continuously-evolving creature on the ship, both female characters make time to jump the hero's bones and later shower together while plotting how to defeat the monster (one of them rubs the other's shoulders as she suggests a new line of attack). Of course, given that the hero is supposed to be hunting this monster, it's a little disappointing that spends his time with them thusly, but in his defense, his vacation got canceled. It won't be a surprise that the screenplay was written by Jim Wynorski, whose Sorority House Massacre II is even more gratuitous in this respect and contains another great text-based gag. (The one in that movie concerns Elvis.)

The wardrobe of the female characters is also suspect, featuring at one point robes that suggest a spa rather than a research facility (although it's nice that this workplace has amenities like a sauna and a glowing space shower featured in the aforementioned scene), and a pink jumpsuit sported by Chadwick's friend. (The colour is a shade or two away from Nantucket Red, leading me to wonder if Murray's Toggery Shop delivers to that part of the galaxy.) The movie's dogged pursuit of prurient thrills does manifest in one great moment, powered largely by its weird editing style: a montage of the hero and Chadwick in a bout of vigorous lovemaking, spied on by a creepy security guy playing with what I assume is a space yo-yo, while another character regaling them with the sounds of what I assume is a space kazoo. And while I didn't find the movie all that nice to look at, the soundtrack of what I assume is space prog makes it reasonably pleasurable to listen to. Look, this isn't a very good movie on the whole, but it gets together enough scraps of enjoyment to justify its meager runtime of 77 minutes. A good enough timekiller on Tubi, perhaps paired with the superior Galaxy of Terror.

Humans are Weird “Halloween”

Whipped something up for you guys this morning. Though, I would appreciate any prompts or ideas you guys have. I am going through a bit of an idea slump and need some inspiration :) Just like this story, bing suggested to me by an outside party.

Krill awoke, well not really awoke because Vrul don’t sleep, but more like drifted out of a daydream, completely unsuspecting. Then again, when it came to humans, he was almost always completely unsuspecting.

Krill generally took his hiatus in the in the medical bay, since he spent so much time there. There was, however, one drawback to this…. He woke to the sight of Conn, the starborn, floating suspended in a corner of the room. His large black eyes were wide and unseeing, his large, round mouth was parted revealing the sharp interior vortex of teeth. He saw nothing, ad he responded to nothing. It had been months since the event at the prison, and still, the starborn remained comatose. Internal cranial scans had not shown anything definitive. Starborn were difficult to read when compared to humans, but still it was frustrating they could find nothing.

Over all else, Commander Vir blamed himself, Conn had saved his life before falling into a coma, and the man seemed to think it was partially him to blame, Krill couldn’t have disagreed more, but there was no arguing with the man.

It was rather early, and the medical bay was empty, the lights above had been dimmed to mirror solar cycles and allow for the proper function of the human circadian rhythm. The biggest protest Krill had against this practice was it made everything dark and kind of creepy, especially when you had a brain dead starborn floating in the corner. The shuttered internally and turned away from the corner quickly making his way from the room and into the dark hall.

Admittedly it wasn’t much better out here. While the medical bay had a comatose starborn, the outside hallways were covered in an exposed layer of pipe, and without the reflective white surface of the hospital interior, the hallways were much darker.

Due to safety concerns, the hallways were lit by a single light every twenty feet, but that was seriously no help. He swallowed his concern beating it back with logic and made his way down the hall. The Commander would be awake soon, and krill had a few concerns he wanted to bring before the man.

He was passing a T intersection on his way to the bridge when an echoing clatter reached him from down the hall. He turned peering into the darkness, his night vision was relatively poor, so he saw nothing, but switching over to his thermal vision, he could see the faint figure of a human standing in the hallway. It was a rather hunched person, but other than its heat signature, he couldn't see anything else.

He switched back to his regular vision, “Hello?” he called into the darkness.

Another soft clattering, and a figure appeared from the balck stepping into the penumbra of light right at the edge of darkness and visible light. Krill blinked in confusion.

It was a woman, or at least he thought it was. She had her face concealed by ragged drapes of long black hair, her head tilted down towards the floor. Her shoulders were hunched, and her hands were held down to the side. She wore only a long white t-shirt, or perhaps a night dress. Krill might have mistaken it as a hospital gown.

Seemed odd, usually the crew were at least somewhat dressed and presentable? Perhaps they were sleepwalking, humans did that sometimes, “Hello.” Krill called again.”

He took a step forward, and before he knew what was happening, she was crawling across the floor limbs contorted feet scrabbling.

Krill leat off a high pitched squeal turned and ran even as her scuttling followed after him a horrible brushing slapping noise as her hands came in contact with the metal.

She was so close he could hear her breath.

He shrieked again, and somewhere along the hall a door opened.

A large blue head appeared form the doorway blearily blinking, “Krill what.” Sunny froze when she turned to look eyes growing wide, then grabbing krill up in one arm, she crouched into a fighting stance head lowered.

The ‘thing’ pulled up short, and then sat back on its heels. Dark hair parted about a grotesque face grey and cold with dark black about the eyes and a horrid blackness about the lips, “That is really hard on the shoulders, by the way.”

Sunny and Krill stared at the creature in surprise as the woman got to her feet dusting off her hands and knees throwing her dark hair over her shoulder. She giggled, “You should have seen your face.”

“Damn Cortney, that was just mean.” Krill and sunny turned again to find the Commander standing at the end of the hall followed by a possy of other humans, and all of them were….. Well they were dressed very strangely. The Commander himself was wearing a maroon button up shirt tucked into tan pants and a brown leather gunbelt and boots. Over that he wore a brown leather jacket that reached almost to the floor. Most surprisingly is he had replaced his eyepatch with a prosthetic eye.

Sunny cocked her head, in confusion, “What is this all about?”

“Hold on, Krill though, that’s low hanging fruit.”

The woman shrugged, “He was the only one I knew who I could scare and not get stomped, besides.” She grinned, “He squeals like a child.”

“Captain, we’re wasting time.” One of the bridge crew had stepped up to the Commander’s side. He was wearing a strange blue long sleeve shirt, black pants…. And well his ears seemed rather pointir than they should have been.

“And You are absolutely right.” he motioned the group behind him forward, “Come on wouldn’t want to miss anything.”

Sunny and Krill stood by in confusion as the humans walked past in the wake of the captain. Behind him, a bearded man in tan robes and a brown cloak followed by another in a strange blck suit of armor with some serious breathing issues, and then a bunch of white armored men after that. In stark contrast to that a few people came by in very dated clothing the women with large skirts, and the men with fancy tipped canes. Sunny found one of the costumes quite unsettling, a human painted with a whte face but bright red lips, and nose with a shock of orange hair and a very strange lacy costume. When he smiled at her, it made her shiver.

After that, A human in a long black and red cape, dark hair slicked back. He smiled at them, and his teeth were far longer than they should have been. Sunny could tell by the way krill cringed, that he wasn’t particularly pleased with this.

They continued to parade past in a column, strange armor, stranger clothing. Sunny recognized some of them from the multitudinous amount of movies Vir had made her watch.

A woman in full plate armor clanked her way past walking side by side with a man wearing ablack suit, dark hair reaching to his shoulders. He had a very closely cropped dark beard, and under one arm he held a stuffed beagle…. Whatever that was about.

After they had gone past, sunny and Krill tagged onto the end of the line following the group of humans into the rec room where they ranged themselves comfortably. Commander Vir motioned them closer, “Come on you two, don't’ think I didn’t forget about you.” Sunny was a bit confused when he handed her a very strange looking weapon shaped sort of like a teardrop, but with two prongs. When she pressed a button near the handle, the entire thing lit up with analogue blue electricity.

Kril got some sort of black covering with a red hourglass shape on the back.

“What is this?” Krill demanded

The commander grinned and opened his arms wide, “This my friend is october 31st, Halloween.”

“A hallow whatsis?”

“No Hloween. Probably about the greatest holiday ever.”

“Like christmas?” Krill wondered.

“Exactly like christmas. A pagan holiday evolved overtime for commercialization to squeeze every drop of income out of the general populace, and absolutely the best.” Krill and Sunny looked back and forth between each other in confusion

“What does that have to do with the costumes?”

“Well originally i think it had to do something with wearing masks so a demon couldn’t see your real face or something, but now you just dress up as whatever is cool, and then the kids go around asking people for candy. For adults it's an excuse to get drunk, eat their kids candy, and watch a scary movie marathon.”

Sunny crossed her arms, “And which one of those will we be doing now?”

The Commander grinned at her, “Well, now that we are dressed up, we will be doing a scary movie marathon, eating candy, and then later we are going to party and get drunk…. Within reason.”

Oh great, this was going to be a disaster. Humans always thought alcohol was a good idea….. It never was.

The commander took a seat on one of the couches and then patted the cushions next to him, “See, I Reserved seats for the three of us…. oh , just one warning though, I am a total pansy when it comes to scary movies. I will scream, no question about it.”

“Than….. Why are we doing it?” Sunny wondered

“Because it's halloween, the entire point is to be scared at at least some point during the day.”

He was very much ot kidding. He did scream, a lot, and he had a habit of grabbing sunny rather violently when anything jumped out at them. Sunny personally didn’t see the big deal, there wasn’t any monster for real, and even if there was, she had a couple of ideas on how to get rid of them, and most of them involved a sharp stick of some sort, or a grenade. It also didn’t help that the humans were always stupid, she knew humans and she was very aware of how well their flight or fight system worked. No human she knew would walk into a dark room after something creepy happened to them.

But these humans, they loved it, if they weren’t freaking out they were laughing at the others freaking out, and even those who were freaking out ended up laughing a few seconds later. She was sure that Krill had some paper in mind about human social bonding, or perhaps a theory about the calibration of the flight or fight system encouraged by the viewing of scary movies, but she wasn’t convinced.

Watching Adam almost pee himself was rather entertaining, and out of the two of them, she liked it when he was forced to rely on her. In this case, he mostly just borrowed her as a shield, but still, it was funny.

Krill was not particularly happy with the amount of trash food consumed. He hadn’t exactly known about health science when he started, kind of assuming that humans could just eat anything they wanted, but now he knew better, and knowing better meant being annoyed at the human’s poor life choices.

As for the strange costumes, it turned out that the humans had dressed themselves up as popular characters from movies, books, or history. If not a specific person, than they chose for an aesthetic. The woman in white was from a centuries old horror movie called, the ring. As for Commander Vir, he described his costume as “Coming from the best underrated sci-fi television show to ever grace planet earth.

She would have placed him in a western rather than science fiction, but it seemed as if humans didn’t like following the rules of their own genres.

As for Krill, he did have a couple of theories to write about. Yes, sunny was right about the first two, and in conjunction with each other. Laughter was, mostly, a social emotion, sure humans laughed to themselves, but they did it at a much higher frequency around other humans. Furthermore, from what he could tell, many humans didn’t like to watch these sort of movies alone which condcluded to him that fear was designed to be a social experience. In fact, humanity seemed to have designed a way to foster greater social bonds in people by having them experience fear together, not only that, but the human sympathetic nervous system was allowed to work in a safe environment readying itself for if something DID happen, and practicing for the eventuality.

He came to the conclusion that it was probably a good practice for the humans. It was a safe way for them to experience stress with other humans and prepare mentally for dangerous situations. For once, Krill actually approved of the behavior, it was safe, nothing dangerous about watching a movie.

As for the costumes, he had a theory about that too. Humans, and partially the Drev, were the only creatures known to design fictional events through fiction, as demonstrated by the movies. The Drev had generally used it the purpose of religion creating gand epics of fantastic warriors in order to teach their children attributes proper for a warrior. Humans would make up anything for the entertainment of it, they had an uncanny ability to imagine themselves in fantastic situations, and many spent time looking for these stories actively. Krill wondered if it was a way to practice empathy, putting yourself in the shoes of another, or if it was some sort of learning. Perhaps they gleaned information from unusual situations preparing themselves in case something were to happen.

The Commander’s opinion? Well he pointed out that it was fun to be someone else for a while, someone who was braver than you, smarter than you, better looking than you, or maybe had a more interesting life then you. It gave you an excuse to act in ways you wouldn't normally do, and allowed others to accept your actions as, not you, bu of another person.

Humanity desired nothing more than adventure, and perhaps…. That’s why they went to space before bothering to find out what was in the depths of their own ocean.
