Ooh I am so happy other people are enjoying this pair as much as I am! I've gotten a few asks about my headcanons for them, and I am happy to blab on and on. Fair warning. This is gunna be a long and rambling essay.

I'm gunna put it all under a readmore, just cause I want to insert the art I've done of them so far, since I've been half-heartedly trying to tell a visual story through the doodles.

Okay. On we go!

How they met;

We did see them technically meet in the show, where they shared their singular canon piece of dialogue, which was just Husk saying 'hey'. And then in the finale where we see a literal split second moment of Lucifer holding Husk's arm.

(also seeing the sweet looks huskerdust is giving each other here just makes me feel so delulu for writing this all, but crackships are silly by definition, so lets get back to the lucihusk) For me, what I imagined, is after the Hotel is finished its rebuilding, that is when Husk and Lucifer finally actually meet in a proper manner. I think Lucifer would be trying to make a good impression on all Charlie's friends at this point, endeared to all of them from their actions during the finale. Unfortunately, I think he is also the King of Bad First Impressions.

[Note. I think at this point Lucifer wouldn't even remember Husk's name quite yet. I think he would call him 'Keekee' ( by accident) or 'Dusk' (confidently incorrect) or just be like "Hey!.... Uh... You?" until Charlie or Vaggie finally corrected him. ]

Husk, on the other hand, I feel like maybe wouldn't gel with Lucifer right away. Wouldn't hate him, but also maybe not be enamored with him right away. Same as Lucifer, maybe he would have sweetened on him a bit through the hotel's rebuilding, but I think they'd start out at very neutral feelings. Maybe a vague sense of 'He's okay, but I don't know if we will really get along.'

Despite this, Lucifer is persistent, and he's going to be everyone's (except maybe Al, unless they start getting along by s2) buddy. He'd start hanging around the bar and participate in the redemption exercises.

Now, we know Lucifer struggles with depression, and I think he would be trying real hard to mask anything going on during this time. They defeated Adam! They rebuilt the Hotel! He believes in Charlie's dream, and he's more involved with her life and other people than he has been for years.

His only issue being Husk sees right through it, both because Husk is perceptive, but also because even the King of Hell can't help but have a lonely night or two at the bar where he ends up venting about his divorce and subsequent lingering loneliness.

[snapcube ref aside, )I really do think Husk would start to feel more positively toward Lucifer after Luci would drop the act somewhat. That they could bond over feeling both at their lowest of lows, while also being to admit that things seem to be getting better!

This would be about the point that I imagine Lucifer developing more romantic feelings! Husk would be a bit less prickly, and Luci would just absolutely eat up any and all positive interactions they'd have. I like to picture a lot of little shows of care at the this point, like Husk memorizing what Lucifer likes and even making up 'fun' drinks just to try and cheer the guy up. And Lucifer would fun a fun game in trying to get the grumpy cat to smile, and just, lighting up himself any time he was successful.

And that culminating into the two of them making each other laugh, with Alastor being an easy butt of the jokes, and a good way for Husk, himself, to finally get a chance to vent. I think Lucifer would be one of the only 'safe' options for Husk to do that with, in just so far as Al can't really threaten Lucifer, and Lucifer already sees Al as a bit of a manipulative bastard.

Falling for each other; At this point, Lucifer would start being a bit more caring toward Husk, though with that wonderful, oblivious flair of his. I don't think Lucifer himself would realize he'd have a crush up until he'd start feeling protective or jealous over Husk, and it would really throw him for a loop at first.

Because fake dating is one of my all-time favorite tropes, I have always had a idea for a fanfic (or comic) that I haven't gotten around to yet, based around Lilith coming back, and Lucifer panickily asking Husk to pretend to be his boyfriend, so he can appear well adjusted/completely over her. Of course the whole thing would backfire, as Lilith would see through it (as Lucifer wouldn't be as good of an actor as he'd think), and that Husk would end up kind of feeling hurt by the whole thing.

Husk, who'd go along with the plot with an eyeroll, would find himself seizing up through the whole fake date/encounter. Would find weird, sudden emotions bubbling up and absolutely hating it.

I don't think that man would think about the class difference between him and Lucifer up until someone would say something about it, maybe Lucifer himself trying to rationalize the (at this time still fake) relationship to Lilith. Now, Husk feels uneasy about the whole thing and ends up drinking heavily the whole night so he doesn't have to think about feelings. (Blitz and Stolas who? Ahaha. fuck.) Meanwhile, while the date would be fake, I think Lucifer would really rather like having Husk on his arm and feeling like he'd have a love-life again, while also not really getting why Husk's mood would be getting worse throughout the night. I think they'd still end up on good terms, but both of them would have their feelings in a jumble, and Husk would not like it. (he thinks he's lost the ability to love, after all)

I think somewhere at this point, as they are starting to develop feelings for one another, is when Lucifer finally starts really realizing how tied to Alastor Husk is, and he starts to make it everyone's problem. I do think Al and Lucifer would stay snarky at each other this whole time, but that it'd only get worse, as Al would poke back since he'd find Lu's over reactions funny.

I also think Al would be maybe the last person to realize anything romantic would be brewing between Lucifer and Husk, and he'd just think it'd be a purely platonic thing.

Beyond just bitching about Alastor, Lucifer would really be ramping up his attention towards Husk too. Fully in that 'puppylove/crush' stage, and trying his darndest to make Husk feel good and special. Husk would be resistant to it all, thinking it would just be Lucifer rebounding hard, and not wanting to get wrapped up in Morningstar family drama when he could happily (miserably) keep his head down and just keep drinking the days away.

But then Lucifer would find out about Husk's love of stage magic, and his history as a performer, and it'd be all over for the catman. It would become Luci's new pet project to rope Husk into some joyful self-expression, and after a song and dance number's worth of convincing, Husk would start to come around. I have to post all these images now cause- I drew them with the intention of mimicking a musical number! Husk starting off as a bit resistant before jumping in whole heartedly, and Lucifer overexcitedly dragging him along throughout the music number, hyping him up and just all around being smitten.

And this is where Husk would start really falling. Getting swept up in indulging his favorite, least destructive hobby, and having someone who absolutely loves it to bond with. Especially when it would be over. When they would just settle down and talk, and laugh, and bond over what they love about performing. The spectacle, the audience, the love of the craft. Its about the comradery!!!

@belladonazeppole wrote a wonderful series of fanfics based off these pictures, as well as the songs from 'The Greatest Showman' that really fit the ship! I would be remiss to not mention them here, because Bella and their fics are just wonderful!

How they started dating;

Now. Don't think just cause they both caught feelings for each other, that they'd immediately admit to it. No. I think both of them would drag their heels. I don't think Husk would admit to them at all, without some outside force effecting it. I think he'd stubbornly try to ignore the crush or drink it away, rather than let his heart become vulnerable to anymore damage.

Meanwhile, Lucifer would be struggling between his feelings for Husk and Lilith. (In the actual canon, I do think they might try to rekindle things, depending on what kind of person Lilith turns out to be, but I digress.) Part of him would be so swept up in a giddy kind of excitement, while the other would be set firmly in the camp of 'this is a bad idea, this won't work out, just look at what happened to your last relationship'. It wouldn't stop him from being outwardly more and more affectionate, but it would be weighing on him.

I do think Lucifer would end up being the one who would be thinking; "What am I doing. He'd never like me back." While Husk would be just sitting there (echoing what was said in the ask- sorry I went all wild and wrote this much about the ship dear god)- "I'm just some fucking furry alcoholic, what the fuck would the king of hell see in me??? Am I delusional? What the fuck is going on??" And I feel like this stage would go on for MONTHS and drive everyone else nuts. It would be clear to everyone (except Alastor, who again, would be just this meme

Though that wouldn't stop him from getting a little pissy about it) And then it would all come to a head during something benign, like a board game night. There would be flirting, there would be jealousy, there would be arguing, and then finally, loudly and with a lot of feeling, Lucifer would shout his way through asking Husk out on a date. A real Date. A capital 'D' date out on the town, dressed to the nines and a real good time. The board would be knocked over in the fray, game pieces raining down upon them while Husk would just stare blank faced, trying to process what just happened. An awkward half-minute would pass before he'd finally, trying to play it cool, shrug out a 'sure'.

How much it'd piss Alastor off;

In the aftermath, a radio static would just lowly grate everyone's ears as Alastor would be slowly coming to terms on how just annoying it would be to have his friend (/Unhealthy co-dependent pet friend possession??) romantically involved (ew) with the King of Hell (double ew)??? Then, either it would be something light hearted like 'he keeps trying to break them up but failing cause he hates interacting with romance' or a darker route where 'he keeps trying to manipulate them into breaking up by preying on all their worst insecurities in the relationship'.

And that, my friend, is all I have in mind so far for this delusional crackship au! There is more I could flesh out, of course, like Angel's role as a friend or potential third in the relationship, or what I imagine as Husk becoming like a stepdad to Charlie, but I've typed enough for the whole month. Hope any of that was coherent! I did not bother to edit or proof read it. Just pure stream of consciousness.

How have you been doing?

I have this thing that's been pestering me for a while now. A lot of NH defenders/shippers swear on their life that there are strong parallels between her and Kushina and it's a hill these people are willing to die on.

They love to cite examples from that god forsaken series called Boruto, where they have comical moments of Hinata being the ''scary mommy'' trope and a ''hot headed wife'' just like Kushina. This doesn't sit well with me and I just see it as SP being SP, nothing more, nothing less; and for the NH fan to be like ''ohh..... look...... there are so many parallels between MK and NH. NH was planned from the beginning. yay...... '' Those sorta BS (pardon me my French).

Also, I'd like to point out that I'm an anti ender not because of the pairing reasons but because of how the ending happened. All thanks to each and every character being nothing more than a pairing fodder, the show has left many debates as to what it's messages and themes are.

I really have zero reasons to like female characters like Sakura and Hinata but this, this is beyond character assassination and also an insult to the fan base, especially those who gave common sense and aren't blinded by pairing choice. For me how the characters are treated is way more important than shipping.

Also, when is your next YT video on Boruto being Oro's genjutsu gonna be released?

Well, for the whole NH thing, the reason why they insist is because the sequel did a 180 and changed her characteristics, so ofc they are willing to die on that hill.

But we all know if we look at the actual content from the manga that she has nothing in common with Kushina nor Minato like they like to say. Kushina is loud and passionate. Where have you seen Hinata display those qualities? Whereas Minato is calm & calculated, something that she isn't once again. She's quiet & shy but that doesn't equate the calmness Minato displays. Not to mention we've seen even in this one shot that Kishi wrote that Minato can also get super passionate from time to time, whereas Hinata has never displayed that feat.

All in all for this whole thing to work they had to turn her into Sakura. It's clear as daylight to anyone who isn't a NH. Even a neutral. So why consume your energy with what they're saying? It's not like it's true. The evidence to support that is those 15 years of serialization prior to the ending that holds all the weight.

We all know TL & the other products at the end were made so that they can retcon the pre-established narrative.

The show ending the way it did basically destroyed everything Naruto once as a story stood for. Sad, but true.

I always said I wouldn't have had any issue with the choice of pairings if done correctly. After all, I used to be a multishipper once. I saw the potential that all had in the beginning. It's just that when part 2 launched, the story was clear of its direction - of course, until they decided to retcon again and to hell with everything.

And sadly, the girls got the short end of the stick. Both Hinata & Sakura, if we're being true to ourselves. But these people are ready to die on a hill just because they're so attached to their opinions rather than seeing the story for what it is - a great emotional impact story, but with a lot of issues underneath it if you put aside the emotional impact.

It's the reason why it pulls so many people into it. Because it's filled with emotional manipulation, in a way. Look at the way the franchise also directs its marketing campaigns for other materials/products. They scan the internet, see what the talk is in the fandom & then bam, there they are with their products that just so happen to have the thematic of whatever talk is in the fandom - like when they are some sort of servants because at some point NH & SS were arguing about who's richer and who's the servant and who's the patron and all kind of BS like that.

Or when we in the NaruSaku fandom had an extensive talk about tarot and the symbolism that surrounds NS and 6 months later bam, there they are with products with tarot themes.

Or that game they have and I saw two of the concepts I had for Sakura combined into a third one.

They basically combined these two artwork concepts into the third one that is their image from the game.

So what can I say? As you can see, Pierrot be doing whatever it is to get their way, lol.

If you think about the girls - when they thought Hinata was more profitable, they pushed her in everybody's face so much so that it affected the story's ending.

Now that Sakura's more profitable, they discarded Hinata like a used toy and she barely makes any appearances outside her mom-like persona.

This only shows anyone with a little critical thinking that SP has no respect for any characters nor the story. It's just about the $$$ and that's it. Nothing more, nothing less.

But meh, anyway, at this point is more than funny lol. It's just Pierrot being Pierrot tbh... Nothing good can be expected of that studio.

As for my next video, I'm planning on getting back to work on these somewhere in March.

Last year I've been caught up with a major life event so it really hindered my capacity to take care of everything that I wanted to do, but as I said, I'm planning on getting back to these.

It's just that I'll need to edit some things since I initially envisioned it in a certain way and there are certain changes that happened in the meantime, that kind of rendered some of the things I worked on obsolete, so I'm trying to adjust to that. But yeah, as soon as I have everything up and running again, I'll definitely start working on it.

Would the canon selves have any reaction to the poly shenanigans happening in the au, or would that happen in canon too?

Forgive Me i've started talking about something only tangentially related:

i'm gonna be a canon toh polycule truther til i die. i have two incredibly large complex polycule charts (one for the adults and one for the kids) that threaten to cover the entirety of both the boiling isles and connecticut by 2025

this is going to sound very strange and pathetic but bear with me. i am aware that polyamory was not intended in the writing and i am also aware that some people hate polyshipping of found families. we have different personal preferences, that's fine.

but toh is literally one of The Only pieces of media i've Ever seen that 1) validated that the found family stuck together being enmeshed best friends for life, and 2) wasn't weirdly meanspirited toward polyshippers/multishippers about it?

i've also had my feelings hurt by a lot of other unrelated pieces of media wrt polyamory lately which makes toh even more special. like i don't think you guys know what a Big Deal it is that everyone has matching tattoos and clothes and movie nights and whatnot..... and there was Never any meanness about drawing Clearly Demarcated Lines about Who Is Together and Who Isn't?? there weren't even any jokes along the lines of luz and hunter being asked if theyre dating and retching comically.

like. every single detail put into the epilogue was explicitly about reinforcing that these people all Fucking Love Each Other, that the canonically platonic relationships are no less important than the romantic ones, that they haven't all split off into their little monogamous pairings, and that they all have strong individual relationships with one another.

like i interpret it as polyamorous because that's what i like doing, because i'm very annoying and project my polycule onto everything. but it is genuinely so fucking special that i CAN do that without needing to overwrite canon or wince my way through a handful of mean jokes?

so people can pry toh polyshipping from my cold dead hands. it's not canon and was never intended as canon but it could be because the writers care about all the same things that i do with these relationships.

ANYWAY. as for your question. i don't think that the polyamory would surprise them, but i think the Sheer Level Of Neuroses would. the canon kids are like okay so i'm pretty sure this is SUPPOSED to be called ethical monogamy. WHERE ARE THE ETHICS

Why are people this fandom telling others to touch grass whilst referring to Tommy as Buck’s ‘partner’ and acting like they’ve been together for months?

It’s totally possible they’ll have a short relationship, but it’s so weird to me that people are acting like they’re in a super deep relationship (or one at all) right now. The breakneck speed to define Buck’s first bisexual experience is odd. I feel like there would be a lot less tension in the fandom right now if BT shippers would be normal about it. Like, ship away by all means but don’t act weird when people don’t buy into your personal headcanons about where Buck and Tommy stand with each other this far on the show🤷🏻‍♀️

You're right, it is ridiculous that people are acting as if Tommy and Buck have a full blown relationship. They've had two date (one that ended badly) and a kiss. It is a bit over the top to already be calling him Buck's partner.

But the thing is, personally, I think there are few possible explanations for what's happening rn.

Some people have been carried away on the high of canon bi buck and finally having representation.

There are multishippers who really are just having fun (Which is cool for them. Ship and let Ship. Just stick to your lane and don't be a dick. Which goes for both sides )

There are new fans joining the fandom post kiss who have no idea of the history of the show or buddie, and see Tommy as Buck's canon boyfriend and a potential endgame relationship, and probably don't understand why we're so against him.

There are those that have always hated the idea of Buddie and/or Eddie (He got a lot of shit after the bare knuckle fighting stuff) who would rather see Buck with anyone but Eddie and they are jumping on the Buck - Tommy "relationship" with all their might.

There are trolls who just love to shit stir, and have seen a fracture in the once strong Buddie fandom and are now taking advantage.

The thing is, there's nothing we can do about any of these things. Our only solution is to stay strong as a fandom, let the buck - tommy base have there fun (while it lasts), and cultivated our corner of fandom. The block button exists for a reason. We just have to wait and see how things play out, and continue fight for our endgame.

Maybe you can make some side blogs?

If you're going to be posting content that is not Sterek or Stiles and Derek with other people (like Chris or Peter). So that way Sterek shippers can see Sterek content on a side blog or main blog, and not see the other characters or ships on the blog they don't want to be exposed to. That way everyone is happy and the blogs are a *safe space for everyone*. Since some people are highly triggered by certain characters due to their own traumas.

So content-specific blogs or side blogs work well for that. Sterek-only content blog/side-blog and/or side ships or rare ships you're starting to draw for TW.

I don’t really do/think about crossovers so much unless I get particularly inspired for some reason—I’ve had some AU thoughts about Re:Zero but I’ve never really bothered considering crossovers for it. Subaru is a difficult character to transpose out of his setting & original plot without doing a LOT of work vis a vis how you manage his character arc. Though actually precisely bc of that maybe the most interesting crossover to me would be if canon Subaru got a glimpse of himself if he had been dropped in a more traditional isekai (I don’t know nearly enough about classic isekai to pick one though) and the kind of person he would’ve become if he was just handed a bunch of awesome powers and people who think he’s cool without ever being called on his shit (the absolute worst version of himself). Relatedly, to your third question, nah I p much never ship characters outside their franchise. Even if they don't directly interact I need them to at least exist in the same/similar enough context or interact with some of the same people in order to get the shipping tickle in my brain. Again unless something particularly inspires a crossover idea, but even then, I will at most do like, bullet point ideas that are mostly meant to be funny to me. I almost never read crossover fic and I’ve never written it.

On ships in general… okay look. I am a) multishipper galore and always one good piece of fanart from being interested in whatever ship idea you want to pitch to me, but b) not primarily into this show for ships and c) at most poking the Re:Zero fandom with a ten foot pole for pretty fanart and usually staying well away from it except to make posts for my own amusement and like six of my friends. I can’t go in the Ao3 tag for it. Every time I do I start wanting to stab things. My current strategy to make re:zero fandom for myself by slowly luring all my friends into watching re:zero is having a shockingly good success rate but yeah the fandom at large is…… holy lack of reading comprehension Batman.

For whatever it’s worth, just as, things I will yell the most about while watching, I am deeply invested in Rem and Subaru in whatever configuration of relationship you want to put them in, I like Rem/Ram because I’m me, and idk that I really know enough about Satella to have Thoughts but I am So Normal about Satella/Subaru Jesus fuck the love love love love love you bit. (NB: I’m anime only with this series so far, please no spoilers.) Emilia/Subaru do make me soft, Subaru and Otto should queerplatonically own a cottage and 37 pets together, and Crusch/Felis are a t4t couple and I shan’t be told otherwise. Actually the ship I’ve probably Thought the most about though is Julius/Subaru. Why did they put in a loop where they speedran an enemies to lovers tragic boyfriends arc. What was that about.

But all of that is secondary to my desire to watch Subaru get the shit beat out of him 😂 which, to your last question—does he DESERVE a vacation? I mean, sure, boy’s been through the biggest boatload of trauma one can imagine and he’s not a bad person even if he’s an asshole with a lot of baggage to unlearn. Do I want him to GET one? Absolutely not, that boy was made in a lab for me to squeeze him like a stress ball

Series Masterlist - Part 4

"Could you get a bigger stack of weed?" You joked as Butcher got back into the car, tossing the brick of cannabis onto your lap.

"Love... Soldier Boy is going through this shit like no one's business. He's smoking like a bloody chimney." He says looking at you.

"And who's the one feeding it to him?" You point out.

He eyes you, judging to see if you're tone is accusing in a bad way or if you're just ribbing him. Your raised eyebrow but dimple in the cheek tells him it's the latter.

"He could use the healing properties the herb offers, eh?" He winks at you.

"Hmmhmm..." you respond. "All jokes aside...," you swallow, "he's not okay... is he? Like… really.”

Butcher takes a deep breath, contemplating how to answer. But as he looks at the seriousness in your eyes, he knows not only are you going to figure it out without him saying it, but you already know the truth. And that you were a straight shooter who would appreciate him being honest.

"Love... you haven't seen wha' he's done." Butcher's Cockney accent is thick with his serious tone. "Midtown, Herogasm... something sets him off and I've seen it before."

"You think he has Shell Shock?" You frown with confusion at him.

"It's called something different now, but yeah."

"Are you fucking kidding me?" You exclaim in astonishment.

"It's a lot more common nowadays... well, not common... more… accepted...?" Butcher finds himself trying to correct himself, surprising even himself.

"Accepted?" Butcher nods as an answer. "You know people used to be executed for that, right? They were considered cowards." Your voice trails off.

"Trust me, I know." Butcher's expression becomes dark, images of his days in the British special forces flashing across his mind... Lenny...

You see the images, but try your best to turn it off again. You'd been doing so well all afternoon. But you couldn't help but be curious when a young boy enters his mind though...

"What's it called now?" You ask, curious.

"PTSD... stands for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder."

"Post Traumatic Stress..." you whisper, testing the words on your tongue, thinking about the conversation you and Ben had on the plane back from Russia. "Fuck... I think you're right..." you sigh out, turning to look out the window once again.

Butcher looks over to you, seeing you looking out the window. He wishes for just a moment that he could be the one to read your mind, to see what it was that made you think that, when you hadn't seen what Soldier Boy was capable of doing, intentional or otherwise since coming back.

You and Butcher pulled up to Legend’s house mid afternoon. You carried the brick of weed out, Butcher grabbing the shopping bag from the store he went into earlier.

As you entered the house and made your way up the stairs you could hear faint music playing from the room Ben was staying in. You couldn’t help the roll of of your eyes and the pang in your heart. You knew you seemed pathetic… pining after a man who clearly never felt he same way. But you felt it was easier to have him in your life some way than not at all.

You followed the voices of Hughie and Legend to the living room, where you saw Ben’s part time career as a “singer” playing on the TV, but the sound was off.

“Jesus…” you can’t help but say under your breath.

“There you are.” Butcher tosses the bag onto the free couch. As he turns to look around, he takes off his glasses, realising Soldier Boy isn’t with them. “Oh, fuck me. Is he still at it?” He asks, disbelief colouring his tone.

“He hasn’t come out all day…” Hughie answers quietly, looking to Y/N quickly.

“Are we fucking surprised?” You scoff, fingers digging into the weed.

“So did you find anything? I’d really love the freedom to reign in my own home sometime soon.” The Legend’s slightly irritated voice speaks up, changing the subject, which you’re grateful for.

“Fuck all.” Butcher answers.

“Seriously?”

“Yes, Hughie. I don’t think he’s been to the three we went to in years.” You contribute. “And they’re the only ones I knew about.”

“Well I guess we’d better talk to him.”

“Right you are.” Butcher makes a move to head back down to Ben’s room, the three of you following. You stay at the rear, not wanting to be the first one to see what you’re inevitably going to walk in on.

As you all walk through the door, the music and moans are now louder and evident to everyone else. You follow behind Legend, who’s older knees are struggling to move as fast as Butcher’s or Hughie’s down the stairs into the room.

“You got a minute?” Butcher asks, interrupting the two women pleasuring themselves on the bed, along with Ben steadily stroking himself. The women gasp in surprise at being caught naked and partaking in the sexual activities, whereas Ben continues as he looks over his shoulder at the group.

“Oh, good. Lube? Huh? C’mon, I can’t go in raw.” Ben says, looking directly at Hughie.

“Please… don’t make eye contact.” Hughie begs, his level of uncomfortableness radiating off him.

“Hughie, listen, these women, they’re like fine wine. Okay, the older they get, the more delicious, but the drier.”

“Mary, Lucille, come on, chop-chop.” Legend moves between Butcher and Hughie towards the women. “Break time’s over. That shags not gonna vacuum itself. Come on.” He grabs their clothes handing them to them, as the women attempt to cover themselves and move to the stairs.

You move off the last step to the side, out of their way. They both give you a side-eye as they begin to make their way up the stairs, to which you can only scoff and raise your brows.

“What’s the problem?” You look back to see Ben has covered himself up with the silk robe he had on, joint in his hand

“What’s the problem?” Legend clarifies. “First of all. I can never fire those girls now, thank you. And second of all, this bed has seen two Jaclyn’s. You know that? Smith and Bisset.” He looks around. “Y-you’re treating it like a Reno cathouse.”

“Jesus.” Ben sighs, lifting the join to this lips.

“The problem,” Butcher interrupts, “is you gave me eleven of Mindstorm’s last-knowns. So far, Y/N and I’ve had a look at three and found fuck all. I-I’m chasing me fucking tail here, mate.” Butcher twirls his finger in the air.

“Sounds like that’s three down and eight to go.” Ben says, cockiness dripping from his tone.

“Yeah. And that’s gonna take weeks, and weeks I don’t got.”

This is where Legend decides to interrupt the conversation talking about his Egyptian cotton sheets… Ben and you both roll your eyes.

“The deal was, we get the rest of Y/N and my team, then we get Homelander.”

“And all I’m saying, is we could use a hand figuring it out.”

Ben moves to stand up. “I told you. Mindstorm’s a paranoid fuck. But, hey, if you could hear everybody’s shitty thoughts, you’d be too.”

“Thanks.” You add from the back of the room. Ben only gives you a look.

“Look, he bought up all the run-down cabins all over the place. He’s Howard Hughs without the piss jars. He’s bat shit crazy.” He lifts the joint once again.

“Mindstorm’s not crazy.” Legend interrupts from the other side of the bed. “He’s bipolar.”

“Bipolar?” You ask. You never knew that…

“He’s bipolar?” Hughie also asks.

“Yeah.” Legends answers, walking between the group.

“Does he take meds for it?”

“I believe so. At least he did.” He turns to make his way up the stairs. “Girls, it smells like sex and Bengay in here!” He calls out, making his way up the stairs.

“Lithium prescriptions are that common.” Your attention moves back to Hughie. “I mean, I doubt he’s making it. Maybe… I-if we look at all the cabins and we…”

“And then check the local pharmacies.” Butcher adds.

“Yeah.”

“See who’s handing out Lithium.” Butcher pauses for a moment, before moving to pat Hughie on the arm. “Nice one, Hughie.” He smiles.

“We’re gonna need more reefer.” You all turn to look at Ben, sitting on the bed again, a leg hitched high with the dressing gown falling down exposing his muscular thighs. He only looks up at us, joint half way to his mouth and smiles wide.

Butcher and Hughie look at each other, as you peg the brick of weed at Ben, catching him off guard as it hits him heavy in the chest.

“Erm, I’m going to start cross referencing those cabins and pharmacies.”

Butcher sees the pissed off look on your face, and the shocked one on Ben.

“Uh, yeah I’ll come help.”

After they both leave the room, Ben asks, “What the hell?”

“What the fuck are you doing?” Your anger is evident.

“Um… enjoying myself. Here, take a hit.” Ben holds the joint out to you.

“You’ve been back, for what? Two weeks now?” You ask, moving towards him.

“Something like that.” He answers, breathing out his puff of smoke.

“And what have you done? Other than blow up a hundred people on two seperate occasions?”

“Hey!” He stands up, towering over you. “I told you that wasn’t what I meant to do.” He growled

“But what else have you been doing to find these fucks?” You grit out with clenched teeth. “You stay here all fucking day, screwing the help.” You admit, you know your personal feelings were getting involved, but you also wanted to find your old team just as much as he did.

“You could be here too if you wanted to be.”

“Focus on the fucking task at hand Ben. You’re acting like you don’t even want to find them.” You growl.

“Get that stick outta your ass, Y/N. I’m sure Legend has a chef or a gardener who’d love to help you with that. You’ve always been so stuck up. Get banged and banged good for once.”

You can’t help yourself. You don’t even know you’ve done it until Ben’s face is twisted to the side. But slapping him did feel good…

“You know me fucking better than that, Ben.” You seethe.

You see the anger in his eyes, but you turn away quickly and storm up the stairs. You grab Butcher’s set of keys he tossed on the table as you walked into the house.

“Y/N?” You hear Hughie’s voice, but keep walking.

“I’m taking Butcher’s wheels. I’ll be back.” You say over your shoulder, slamming the front door as you make your way to the car and start her up.

But i remember once when someone was asking some ppl why they didn't like bkdk and/or prefered other ships the response to kr//////bk were sometimes the usual "yea bc abusive" and then some actually caught my attention.

"bc Bakugou can start in a clean slate and be happy without his bad history with Deku"

And i never understood why this sounded weird to me, other than a feeling like Kiri was just being used as some kind of escape. What do you think of it? I'm actually curious

Honestly, I wish I knew myself, Anon. I don't have an answer, but I do have some thoughts.

First, that is just a weird thing to me because... to people who say "Bakugou and Kirishima can start with a clean slate", what qualifies?

Because it's not like their relationship started off like...

"Hi, I'm Bakugou!"

"Hey, I'm Kirishima!"

"Want to be friends?"

"Yeah! Let's be friends!"

No. It was completely opposite. They did not start off with a clean slate. Their relationship started off with Kirishima criticizing Bakugou's behavior and even calling him "unmanly". He did not like Bakugou at first.

Really the person he did start off a clean slate with is Midoriya. Granted, they were kids. But they were childhood friends before it turned sour.

Now, I don't hate KiriBaku. It was one of the first ships I gotten into and I still have a love for it. And I also have favor Midoriya a lot. He is my #1 favorite characters along with another everybody should probably know by now. I am also a multishipper.

With that said, in my earliest days of being in the fandom, I was taken back to see that some KiriBaku shippers actually didn't like BakuDeku, let alone Midoriya.

Why? Well, for BakuDeku, I get it. Ship rivalry and all that. Again, as a multishipper I just don't care for that. Feeling "threatening" by the presence of another ship, having ship wars and saying why this ship is better than this one.

Now dislike for Midoriya, I have no clue. But as I thought about it, and seen some things, I feel like it was because BakuDeku does an upper hand of having more content for them, history be damned. Maybe some people feel like Midoriya is a threat. After all, Midoriya may know a lot more about Bakugou than anyone else. They were childhood friends. And childhood friends is a popular trope.

Now, let's be real here, if Midoriya and Bakugou dated other people, it would be Bakugou who would have more of a problem than Midoriya would.

If Midoriya, in canon, acknowledges that Kirishima is Bakugou's friend, I doubt he would be upset if they dated. Hell, to be jealous would fly over his head because he's the type of person to want people happy. It's Kirishima, he likes Kirishima. He has a mutual friendly relationship with him. If Kirishima and Bakugou dated, Midoriys would root for that.

On top of that, Bakugou really didn't become a top concern for Midoriya until season 3. Before that, he was making his own friends and doing his own thing, including during their middle school days. By that time, Midoriya actually distanced himself from Bakugou. He doesn't follow him anymore. Midoriya was a loner. In fact, after season 3, he still just let Bakugou do whatever without having a say so or following him around. Bakugou always been visible to Midoriya, but he isn't that "possessive" or a "stalker" as some people think he is. Bakugou only became more visible to him because Bakugou made it so. Bakugou just always been Midoriya’s vision of victory and of course, he saddened by where their relationship ended up. He admires Bakugou, but he doesn't listen to his conversations or just "I know Bakugou better than you!"

Bakugou is always watching Midoriya, on the other hand. No, for real, he is always watching him. He almost always has Midoriya on his mind in some way. Even has followed Midoriya and Todoroki just to hear their conversation. It's how he even realized that Midoriya was holding a secret about OFA. If Midoriya disappeared for even 2 minutes, Bakugou would notice. Tells Midoriya to watch him during the Joint Training arc. Ran off with Midoriya at the start of the Paranormal Liberation Arc (says to get payback at Shigaraki, but we all know it was also he didn't want Midoriya to go alone).

It's like the moment Midoriya does anything Bakugou has to be there for it. Not for his own benefit, but because he is aware of the type of person Midoriya is.

He's not like this with anyone else.

He doesn't think about anyone else 24/7 for literally years because he has regrets and regrets he has voiced to Midoriya himself. He even has cried twice in front of Midoriya. He keeps a card, a heartfelt physical symbol of just how he wishes for their relationship to go back to the good times.

Now when it comes to Kirishima and Bakugou... I sometimes feel like people like it because Kirishima, while Bakugou's friend, works as his "tamer". Think about it.

There are people who only like a character when they're in a ship and go as far as to change that character completely through the other character's actions and words for the sake of liking said ship.

If you don't like one character, then don't ship the ship they're in!

Given that Bakugou has a lot of haters, what if some of those haters happen to like KiriBaku only when they can interpret Bakugou as being more "tolerable" because Kirishima can "tame" him?

Kirishima can handle Bakugou because he literally is a thick skinned person. His quirk is a visual gag of that. Anything Bakugou says or do, he doesn't take it to heart. But here's the thing.

He is not the only person.

Everyone doesn't take anything Bakugou says or do to heart. Even Midoriya who just brushes it off or has sassed him back.

I think people just take to shipping Kirishima more with Bakugou and not anyone else is because it is stated explicitly they have bonded (the Kamino Rescue).

That and circling back to the "taming" thing, there are moments where Kirishima does seem to be the one where he reels Bakugou in. Such as making comments like "ooooh, that doesn't sound very heroic" or "BAKUGOU, WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM".

Like moments where he directly scowls Bakugou.

Iida does the same, he's the first one to do it from Class A, in fact. However, there isn't a lot of BakuIida shippers compared to KiriBaku. Again, Kirishima is explicitly stated to be Bakugou's friend. That's not to say no one else is friends with Bakugou.

Here's a guess. Maybe people find that Kirishima can change Bakugou into something "better". And when I mean "better" I mean much less grouchy, angry, more friendly. Turn him into a whole different character to the point Bakugou would be recognized as some OC and not Bakugou.

Kinda funny considering since Kirishima did change himself. His personality stayed the same, but he grew into having a thicker skin, being brave and not hesitating, and changed his hair.

In a way, it's like... "I'm a new person, I created this new persona of myself... maybe I can do the same to someone else".

Which, let's be honest, would be toxic on Kirishima's part via fanon wise. Changing someone into someone else into what you want. Canon Kirishima may call Bakugou out or tease him, he wouldn't go as far as to dictate how Bakugou should be or even change him.

Again, like the rest of Class A, they don't let Bakugou get to them. Tease him about and whatnot, but Bakugou is Bakugou. If they were all the same person, that wouldn't be fun. Everyone is different in their own way.

So, yeah, I do think some people ship KiriBaku for the dynamic, which I see nothing wrong with that. I, myself, like the bond Bakugou and Kirishima have. It's different from their other relationships, and I like different. It's why I ship it. (And yes, I also like it platonically.)

However, other than the dynamic, I think some people ship KiriBaku because they may portray Kirishima as this person who can "change Bakugou into someone else entirely". Like making Bakugou someone else for their benefit because they don't like Bakugou as he is.

Sure, Bakugou is unpleasant at times. But it's not like he isn't aware. It's not like his classmates aren't aware.

If Kirishima didn't like Bakugou for how he is and is extremely bothered by his behavior, he wouldn't have befriended him in the first place and he would have tried to change Bakugou into someone else. Instead though, he just sticks to being his friend and having a laugh and sometimes scowling at his antics.

That's really all I have to say. Again, it's a guess and I won't even say I'm right. I'm not an expert on any shipper.

All I really am is some who happens to like ships and characters for how they are in this fandom.

My fandom’s main “shipwar” is between the canon m/f pairing and the non-canon but ten times more popular m/m pairing. I’m a multishipper and I like both, as well as the mmf threesome. So I don’t really have a dog in this fight, as it were. But one thing that continuously baffles me is how upset the canon m/f shippers get about the non-canon m/m shippers explaining why they don’t ship the canon ship.

The m/f shippers say because they never feel the need to mention the m/m ship on their posts, that the m/m shippers should not mention the m/f ship on their posts. But I think those are two very different circumstances. Like, of course there’s no reason to randomly bring up a non-canon ship when making meta about a canon pairing. The baseline assumption in most fandoms regarding transformative works is “like canon, unless noted” so that would be superfluous and feel targeted. But when discussing a non-canon ship, especially one which requires the canon ship to break up, I think, naturally, due to the same principle, those non-canon shippers are going to lay out what they personally don’t like about the canon ship, and why they think the non-canon ship is better.

I guess, what I’m saying is, I’ve always seen putting up with a lot of different people not liking your pairing and complaining loudly about it as part of the price of having a canon ship. In all the other fandoms I’ve been in, the canon ships have been almost universally reviled, and the handful of people who do ship them don’t seem all that surprised by all the meta that exists from non-canon shippers about why the canon ship doesn’t work. They just find solace in the fact that their pairing is the one that gets onscreen kisses, and seem adept at ignoring the haters.

But in this fandom, the canon m/f shippers act like anyone voicing dislike of their ship is a personal attack. And they frequently write rant posts about it, to the point that I have a hard time following the m/f ship tag, even though I ship it, because I’m tired of it being full of people complaining about the m/m shippers (of which, I am also a member).

To some extent, I understand the canon m/f shippers’ frustrations. The fandom tag is basically unnavigable without running into untagged content for the non-canon m/m ship. And there is unfortunately a swath of the non-canon m/m shippers who are rude, exhibit harassing behaviors, and harbor misogynistic attitudes toward the canon female love interest. Which I’ve called out multiple times on my blog as unacceptable. But one of the canon m/f shippers referred to simple meta discussing the media through the lens of the non-canon m/m pairing as “gaslighting”. And I just don’t think that’s a fair interpretation.

While there definitely have been bad actors on both sides of the “shipwar”, I don’t think just saying “I think the dynamic between the non-canon pairing is more interesting and well written than the canon pairing, and here’s some scenes from the original media that showcase why” on one’s own blog is an act of “ship hate” or “gaslighting” or contradictory to the principles of Ship and Let Ship. It’s just an opinion based on a different reading of the text.

I suppose my question is, do you think its contrary to the principles of Ship and Let Ship to explain why you personally don’t ship a pairing (assuming you’re not harassing or insulting the shippers of that pairing)? And why do canon shippers act like it’s an act of malice for other people to voice that they don’t like their ship for xyz reason?

Uuuuuuh out of any fandom ever? Short answer: yes.

Long answer: it's a little complicated what I would define as a ship for me bc when it comes to ships I actively ship and actually think should kith I have incredibly few. But when it comes to ships where someone else will be like "these two are cute together" and I'll go "yeah I see it" and maybe rt/rb a post about them it's like...almost any ship. Y'all have watched me write hcs for almost every mix and match combination of almost every character in Survive even though I have like,,,two ships from that game. And also what some people consider side eye worthy is different from what I do.

Like,,,for example, I know I've said it before, but I don't think human x digimon ships are inherently weird. I think it varies on a partner-to-partner basis. I've seen a lot of people in gg fandom ship Ruli and Angoramon or Kiyo and Jellymon and...yeah I think that's fine. But no one ships Hiro and Gammamon because that would be weird. And I don't think I really have to explain what the difference there is. But I know for some people it's just a hard no across the board lmao.

Probably the only ship I actively ship rn that people think is weird is, for reasons I will never understand, ThomAya. For those of you not in Genshin fandom they're just a classic cute longtime best friends to lovers ship that some people unironically think is incest because Ayaka told one person one time that Thoma is kind of like a second brother to her. These same people will turn around and ship him with her actual brother tho which...what? Like if you actually think they're related or whatever how would that not, in your eyes, also make him related to her brother I DON'T UNDERSTAND YOU PEOPLE. I digress.

OH OH OH NOT TO KEEP GENSHINNING BUT FUN FACT I totally got canceled on twitter for shipping kaether back when it was implied but not explicitly confirmed yet that Aether's an adult so the "Traveler is literally minor-coded" crowd came for my ass. I tragically got blocked by one of my only mutuals who liked Digimon back then over that shit lakfdjak. Like sorry for assuming a character who had "seen the birth and death of stars" but is kinda short was at least 18. I was right though.

I know a lot of my KH ships are side eye worthy because they'll be between characters who have literally never met (i.e. most mix and match combos of the characters who are Nobodies of or replicas of or the embodiment of darkness extracted from the other major characters). Some of them are between characters who, despite literally having entire arcs dedicated to establishing that they are NOT the same person, people will still point at and call self-cest. (i.e. shipping Roxas with Sora or Xion). So again I genuinely don't think they're weird, but I know other people do.

I've seen people say it's weird to ship Pao-Lin and Lara in Tiger & Bunny because of their "age difference." They are 16 and 14. Sue me.

Here's a special segment for things I shipped in middle and high school that no one thought was weird back then but would DEFINITELY get a side eye in 2024.

I was a sebaciel shippper when I was like,,,12. Would I still ship it today? Probably no. But hey it was 2013 and I'm pretty sure the show WANTED you to ship them.

Almost any hetalia ship. I am not even joking, almost every character in that entire show was related somehow or another. It was like 2015. I was not immune to smashing pretty characters together and shouting "now kiss." I also was not doing deep dives into whether or not the immortal personifications of countries were technically related or had age gaps, I'm sorry.

Totally shipped Yoichi and Gekkouin from OnS. I mean my main ship was kimiyoi but multishippping is real. To be honest it was just a classic case of being a teenager and shipping the character I related to with the character I thought was hot. It was not any deeper than that.

TLDR: if any of y'all do now or ever have shipped anything weird, I'm not gonna judge you for it. I literally do not have the right to.

Cas/Crowley

What made you ship it? i mean i was always crowstiel-positive. like, i'm a multishipper by trade, and unless something is just not there or i have a specific reason to dislike it, i will usually be, at the very least, ready to be convinced. but crowstiel was actually motivated by me getting really into crowley. because crowstiel is like. the least depressing crowley ship, especially as time goes on. like their relationship is flirty and antagonistic on both sides, and while like there is a level of unpleasant onesidedness between them (i.e. crowley seems to have more genuine affection for cas than cas for crowley), that's first of all, something that could easily change, because cas (in the later seasons, which is mostly what i'm talking about) is a person who is pretty affection starved and if he spend a lot of time with crowley he would warm up pretty quickly. also i've made a post about this before and i just spent like an hour combing my archive for it and couldn't find it? but the thing about cas is that he has experienced terrible consequences for his anger before. like, the horrific, irreconcilable guilt of godstiel arc is something cas can never resolve, it's maybe his single defining trauma. plus there's the fact that the winchesters (especially dean) become more and more the most important people in his life and don't take his emotions seriously + treat them like an inconvenience, and cas fears losing the winchesters to a pretty extreme degree because they are the only people in his life so he spends a lot of time trimming off his rough edges and denying his feelings of any kind. but ESPECIALLY anger. to the point where he is like. actually super repressed about it. like, cas completely represses and internalizes any anger he experiences because his anger has had such negative consequences + he is afraid of getting actively punished for it + he feels like he doesn't deserve to ask for better/wish for better/resent what he's been given/be unsatisfied with what he's been given + he feels like he deserves most mistreatment he gets. but the thing is some of that suppressed rage has to come out sometime. and with cas the way it comes out is against acceptable targets. people who he would consider enemies. this is why, for example, he goes so bananas on donatello: it's all that repressed anger about other things, exploding to the surface when he's "allowed" to feel anger at all. and i feel like THAT is a big reason why cas could simply get over his dislike of crowley. because a big part of the reason he hates crowley so much is that not only is crowley one of the only acceptable targets who is actually in cas' social circle, but also: cas kind of blames crowley for godstiel arc, in ways that would completely fall apart if anyone looked too closely, but do allow cas some cathartic rage. but the thing is if you took cas out of his situation with the winchesters and into a healthier one where someone (crowley :3?) was nice to him, he would like. get over that. like if he didn't feel he needed to repress all his anger and negative emotions, they wouldn't come out so explosively against acceptable targets. and cas would become way more open to like. actually liking crowley, you know? and i think he would. he's like a cat. he needs to be socialized to crowley but he'll come 'round. and then both cas and crowley will have someone to be nice to him. oh and also i started getting really into crowstiel as an explicit rejection of drowley, which i just hate. dean is so mean to crowley!!! what has he done to deserve this!!!

What are your favorite things about the ship? um. i like that they're nice to each other. i also like that crowley can appreciate that cas is insane girl pussy (in a way dean never will because he simply doesn't have the imagination). i like that crowley really thinks he holds all the cards but he's deluding himself. i like that crowley shot his shot by calling himself agent jay-z in season twelve (and that imo it worked). i like that both cas and crowley would get off pretty equally on feeling like crowley had power over cas, but that it wouldn't be true in actuality. i like that crowley would like to spoil cas and cas would love being spoiled. i like that it would probably be pretty healthy once they kind of settled down. i like that they could have insane freaky angeldemon sex no holds barred. i like that cas would be down to hold crowley during his scheduled crying times (4pm-5pm first tuesday of every month). i like that crowley would want to adopt jack soooooooo bad that man has baby FEVER like for real.

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship? could be endgame. tbh. let the winchesters rot.

Genuine question, since you seem to be a prolific Superbat enthusiastic. Why do so many Superbat fans disrespect Clark so much? 🤷‍♀️

Whenever I see Superbat posts in the Clark/Superman tag most of them ignore his history, his trauma, personality, his family/friends/allies [Lois, his parents, other Justice League members, Jimmy, Kara, Perry, John Henry, Pete, Steve, Cat and etc] his city, his children, [Conner, Chris, Mia, and Jon] and mythos.

It seems people are only interested in Bruce's character and his family. Also, most Superbat fans strike me as being an odd combination of being homophobic, heteronormative, and misogynistic and sometimes even abusive! Very crazy combo, but that's how it seems to me from looking at the majority of works.

For example, people typically make Bruce the bottom or feminine one. When realistically they would be switches. Yet, overwhelmingly all the work is dedicated to "Brucie Wanye." Even though most of the time his true personality is a cold, macho, caring man. Heck, I see Clark being more the bottom type, since he's a very loving partner, and he enjoys being taken care of. You know he's definitely getting pegged by Lois.

Which brings me to the lack of care towards Lois, where she is either villainized or not made to be an important person in Clark's live. Regardless of ships and platonic/romantic feelings, Lois is Clark's closest friend. Yet, none of that is rarely displaced in fanart, headcanons, and fics. Yet, Bruce's people are always made sure to be included.

Also, what's with the influx of evil Superman and poor innocent babyboy Batman. Look I like some dark tropes too, and I wouldn't mind so much if we at least kept the same treatment with both parties. Instead of only favoring one person.

It's deeply upsetting and disturbing to see the kindest original hero immigrant aka the champion of the oppressed. To be used for such weird, oc, fetishistic works. Again, it's odd to due Batman having so much privilege and is known for being very controlling, yet it's never displayed in these darker takes. Batman is a good man, but can have troubling qualities, as all good characters have. Clark has his darker attributes too, but that’s okay as long as it presented fairly.

Lastly, Clark and Bruce have a close friendship. Yet, again I see no one making art/fics about Clark's other close relationships. But, everyone seems to be a huge fan of being a multishipper for Bruce. Example being Selina, Talia, Joker, Harvey, Ghostmaker, Hal, Barry, Arthur, Diana, and etc. Seems to be to be a bit biased no, for fans that claim to love Clark and ship Superbat have no problem doing this for Bruce.

Where's the love for other Clark ships like Lois, Lana, Lex, John Corben, Brainiac 5, Hal, Arthur, Diana, Barry, Maxima, Volcana, Blanque, and etc.

Also, it's not really special that Clark recognizes Bruce's heartbeat as the go to Superbat trope. He does that with everyone like again to list Lois, his parents, his children, his villains, his friends both in the Justice League, at the Daily Planet, and in Smallville. Heck, he's even given Jimmy his own personal watch to call him!

Sorry, this is a lot. I didn't mean to type so much, but I didn't want to use multiple asks. I also want you to know I'm not attacking you personally. Some of the text posts and art I looked up on your blog are awesome! ❤️ Keep up the good work! I just sincerely want to know why there's such a strong bias in Superbat. I personally, do like the pairing as long as they are both treated like equals.

But first lemme say that thanks for complimenting my blog! Glad you are enjoying it. But for future reference, if you want to complain about something you don't really like about a ship or fandom maybe consider making your own post about it. Cus I know your intentions were good but going to a superbat blog and saying “this is everything I dislike about superbat!!” comes off pretty rude. I could stop there but I’ll address your questions/points because why not and I’m a glutton for punishment,,

So first off, and this is what I’m gonna end up repeating throughout this post, I understand your frustration at parts of Clark's mythos not being explored more in superbat fic/art but a lot of what it comes down is just that uh. Some people know more about batman mythos! And some people know more about superman mythos! It doesn’t really mean that they like/respect one character more than the other.. people are just interested in different comics lol. For example I rely a lot on my wonderful superman mutuals (hello @/blorb-el :] ) for info about Clark and his lore because I just haven’t read as many superman comics.. doesn’t mean I like Clark less. Just means I like sci-fi less…

As for this I have no idea what most of it means lol but like I said, telling a blog that you know likes superbat that superbat fans are “homophobic and abusive” is pretty rude for obvious reasons…

Now uh there’s a lot to unpack with this lol. Long story short, top/bottom preferences dont really have anything to do with personality. And as for “realistically they’d switch” yeah I personally see them as switches too! But there’s no “correct” way of imagining how a fictional character has gay sex lol. People are just gonna have their preferences for what they like to see and most of the times they dont have/need a specific reason for them. Also: this is gonna be a big theme when it comes to my response to you because my advice? Utilize tags. As for this, some of it is going to be because ppl maybe dont know as much about Lois as they do other characters, and some of it is yeah misogyny lol I won’t lie to you. But to be honest I haven’t seen any Lois bashing in fics or fanwork since like the mid 2010s. So I cant tell if this complaint is in good faith or not. Either way I still dont know why you’re telling it to me..

Lmao this one. First rule of fandom is that people are going to write weird, ooc fetishistic fics purely for the sake of writing weird, ooc fetishistic fics. Its fanfiction, its not like they’re official DC stories - they dont have to be accurate. I understand your frustration if you’re seeing a dynamic you dont like a lot but, again, I would advise you to utilize tagging + filtering to your advantage. The reality of fandom is you’re going to see interpretations of a character that you don’t like. And what you do is simply don’t read what you don’t like. Its not always that deep. 

Again! You just! Have! To look! For creators! That are more into! Superman comics! (@/sully-s has a lot of cute Jimmy + Lois/Clois art if you’re interested) Like I’m not a Batman multishipper because I want to personally spite Clark Kent, I’m a Batman multishipper because I’ve read a LOT of Batman comics lol. Like I’m gonna level with you I have no idea who John Corben or Blanque or Volcana even are. But I know there are probably plenty of people who ship superbat who have no idea who Minhkhoa Khan or Silver St. Cloud or Andrea Beaumont are!! And that doesn’t mean they hate Bruce it just means they don’t feel like reading 80 years of Batman comics which!! Is fair!!

As for this part I dont have any advice or suggestions this is just rude. “Hey that popular trope you like is stupid!” Ok! You’re allowed to think that, I get it honestly. But, again, I don’t know why you felt the need to send that opinion to a blog that you know likes superbat. Like its not exactly a question, its just something you dont like lol

In conclusion my advice is: use filtering! use tagging! If you’re good at searching for stuff you can pretty consistently avoid ships/dynamics you dont like! I do this all the time. And for next time, maybe remember that fandom isn’t curated to your personal tastes automatically - you have to curate it yourself, and thats no one else’s job but your own.
