LEET: 101 What is L3375934K? How do I understand this jumble!?

Leetspeak, hackspeak or leet- is the switch of a words letters with numbers or special characters. Leet is shortened from the word 'elite', which refers to the hackers who created and used the language in the 1980s.

It was originally created to communicate from person to person through this inside group, often used to disguise and mask illegal content.

This item, H.R. 7152, the Civil Rights Act of 1964, faced strong opposition in the House Rules Committee. Howard Smith, Chairman of the committee, refused to schedule hearings for the bill. Emanuel Celler, Chairman of the Judiciary Committee, attempted to use this discharge petition to move the bill out of committee without holding hearings.
