people wonder why people with chronic illnesses get so fed up with the US medical system so easily and here's a short list of things that have happened to me this week

-went to the ER for a new chest pain followed by symptoms of a superficial blood clot in my breast, they found nothing on x-ray or any concerns with 2 ekgs and 2 cardiac enzyme blood tests and diagnosed it as non-specific chest pain told me to follow up with PCP

-contacted PCP who said that as long as the symptoms stay gone i can just follow up with that at my initial cardiology appointment which is in august

-called the cardiology office who said they can't do anything unless someone resubmits a referral as urgent

-psychiatrist prescribed 0.1mg clonidine for insomnia despite all my protests against it because I have fucking POTS specifically because she was going to be out of office for a week and didn't want to prescribe anything with a pre-auth which i get but like dude there has to be something else?

-periodontist would not let me opt out of a pre-anesthesia sedative for an appointment on friday and prescribed clonidine because i have a paradoxical reaction to benzodiazepines, also against all my protests again due to POTS

-pharmacist saved me a trip to the ER by advising me to start with a half dose of the psych's rx of clonidine, even 0.05mg of clonidine made my blood pressure so low that my heart rate ended up going 142bpm while laying down (really bad) to keep the blood pressure normal and stabilized

-now i have to find a new psychiatrist who will actually listen to me and not brush off my concerns because no way in HELL am i staying with this one, but because of my medical complexity a lot of doctors will meet me and decide i'll be too hard to help so that'll be fun

-i have to go through the entire process of making a complaint to the state board that supervises my psychiatrist because that was absolutely incompetence and malpractice

-told the periodontist about the clonidine reaction and so they told me not to take it at all, then said with the narcotic they're prescribing in case i need it afterwards to not take a list of current medications at the same time, including my IV infusion i get every three months that i can't just remove from my system at will

this is normal. doctors not listening to my concerns and finding alternatives until i put myself in dangerous situations on their advice to prove that im not making up the seriousness of my conditions

I don’t know yet if I caused myself a PEM after today’s exertion.

We walked 6.7k steps, walked up 8 flights of stairs according to our watch, burned 800kcal or something, had several spikes where we were not doing shit only standing and having a bpm of 142 and then when sitting down , it was still at 120bpm and 112bpm.

We even took our stupid meds but I guess they don’t do shit bcs they aren’t actually beta blockers to my knowledge which probably we need bcs POTS but the Cardiologist was super old and very “u have to lose weight and get checked for diabetes, come back when you lost weight” kind of dude so yeah u can imagine I didn’t get help. My mom was disappointed by that guy. She told me I have definitely pots bcs the symptoms are 1 to 1 what I go through and it’s rare my mom agrees with me so.

I have work in 7h30min and I’m dreading it bcs it’s the 2nd of January already and I hope to god that there won’t be many calls bcs lord have mercy with us. I’m not used anymore with 30/40 calls a day. Got too used with the 15 calls a day over Christmas.

At least I am done with my period almost and that won’t bother me anymore for the next 33 days or so. It sucked bcs it hit me hard this cycle and I was slumped over in bed in the Fetus Position for 2 straight days taking Ibucalmin bcs the cramps were so fucking bad. I was feeling like my own murder scene days 2 and 3 tbh which wtf horrible. I need to buy period panties asap. Bro I’m not waking up at 3am to fucking change my sanitary items bcs my uterus is mad for not getting child!

Anyway. I’m way too hyper rn bcs I drank a lil bit of Monster at 9pm (yeah don’t be me don’t be dumb like that especially with adhd bcs I expected it to make me tired and it did the opposite 😭)

I wanted to say as well that the first day of 2025 was beautiful! I saw a donkey, I saw sheep, I saw goats, I saw horses and I saw Water Buffaloes!!! The landscape was so beautiful today the scenery with the snowy icy trees and grass. I was able to pet two adorable orange cats!!! Chilli and Curry both tomcats and when they weren’t cuddling me or laying on the bed they would try to assert dominance in the house who was the first tomcat there 😂 im so grateful for today it was lovely spending time with family while being at the end of the world somewhere in a village without signal and seeing cool things and chilling with cool people who made a difference today!!

Unfortunately my pots kinda messed with me during the tiny walk we had to the fortified church and back to the car. Alas, I took breaks when needed and no one said shit and people were concerned tbh bcs they were like dude 142bpm while standing doesn’t sound healthy at all and I am like yeah dude I know right??? 🤣

Cross your fingers for me that I actually sleep tonight at least 5h 😬
