2 Unlimited - No Limit 1993

"No Limit" is a song recorded by Belgian/Dutch Eurodance group 2 Unlimited, released in January 1993. It was their fifth single in total and the first to be released from their second album, No Limits! (1993). Co-written by the group's Ray Slijngaard and Anita Dels, the song became one of their most commercially successful singles, especially in Europe, reaching the number-one spot in 35 countries and the top 10 in several others.

Elsewhere, the song peaked at number two on the RPM Dance/Urban chart in Canada, number 16 in Zimbabwe and number 21 on the US Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart. In Oceania, it reached numbers seven and 50 in Australia and New Zealand, respectively. Like previous releases, the UK version of the single removed all of the raps from Slijngaard, leaving just Dels' vocals.

I don't think we can call the European versions of the idioms from America as parodies, this statement is false. There is a sense of humour present there, true, but they are serious in their music. Well, look, listen to 2 Unlimited to hear what I mean with these words. While I understand some people's apprehension over them, I personally admire the bravery of the outfit to go bonkers. Sure, the tune on the link does feel like a tank that crashes into your house during an earthquake, yet that might also be one of the reasons the piece functions in such a fabulous manner. There's something glorious about them not giving a damn and getting a lot of success afterwards. To be honest, many European approximations of the American genres are this way.
