Lisa: fairy of darkness and the night - not my character but Alora's little sister (3 yrs younger). She can be a little draining for her family as her mental health hasn't been the greatest since she was a child but as she grew into a young woman, Lisa slowly starts to let go of past feelings and moves on to work on herself and her powers.

Florence: headmistress of Alfea, daughter to Faragonda and mother to Cécilia. She has inherited her mother's wise words and warmth to help her students where she can - unfortunately she cannot control her own daughter.

Queen Valam: Minu's mother and a strict queen through and through

Cyra: mermaid of volcanic rock - she and another mermaid are Minu's only friends back home in Andros

Maude: fairy of rust - after running away from home at the ripe age of 17 Treasa went to live with her best friend Maude who then became the fairy's first gf, they broke up when Treasa wanted to study at Alfea

Cherry: Jun's ex from highschool and a sweetheart, these two have no bad blood whatsoever, the breakup was mutual. After she graduated in Solaria she went to earth to start a new life

Adelaide: fairy of dreams - Alora and Lisa's mother. She's a tough woman but melts as soon as she sees her two girls. She became a professional and well loved doctor early on in her adulthood, something her husband, Johan, did not like at all. When Alora was 7 and Lisa 4 Johan started abusing Adelaide, only stopping 3 years later when Adelaide finally filed a divorce.

Ayuna: fairy of ghosts and death - she first starred in my graphic novel 'Lost Spark' as the villain but she'll be the villain throughout s3 of Glowinx! A little detail to her backstory: she used to be one of the major fairies on earth alongside Morgana, Nebula, Diana, Sybilla and Aurora - but being power hungry and having a dark, twisted power she was deemed too dangerous and powerful so she was banished from the circle and never given much attention anymore.

Because you expressed some interest, here is my guide to watching Dark Shadows on Amazon Prime, specifically the episodes featuring Roger Collins, rich asshole and hilariously bad father. This only covers up to Ep. 365, as I am nowhere near finished watching the series.

First off, please know that you are under no obligation to actually watch any of this, or to enjoy it if you do try watching it. Dark Shadows is a ridiculous show, the early episodes are all dripping with dark, moody shots and a creepy, forlorn atmosphere to the point of feeling like a parody. Tim Burton only wishes he were as goth as Dark Shadows. The show is also a low-budget, daily soap opera, which means plots get constantly rehashed and dragged out forever, and most scenes get only one take. You will see characters fumble their lines just about every episode, and some hilarious prop disasters. Nevertheless, it’s a fun and interesting show for those of us who are fans, they go absolutely buckwild with the supernatural, and I think there are some genuinely good actors. (And also some really bad ones.)

Dark Shadows on Amazon Prime has been divided into “Dark Shadows,” which starts with vampire Barnabas’s first appearance around Episode 210 (because that’s the part everyone wants to see) and runs until the end of the series, and “Dark Shadows: The Beginning,” which starts the series from the actual beginning, and runs up until Barnabas. Dark Shadows: The Beginning is honestly less interesting before characters like Barnabas and Julia Hoffman and Angelique show up to stir shit, but Roger has a greater role in Dark Shadows: The Beginning. He’s a terrible father and a selfish cad with a shady past, and ex-con Burke Devlin is there on a revenge plot against him. Much of the main pre-Barnabas storyline is about Roger’s past crimes, Burke and Roger, and later Roger’s estranged wife Laura. Louis Edmonds, who plays Roger, gives the character some charisma and witty charm, and is especially good at correcting his line fumbles and landing on his feet when a scene goes awry.

Dark Shadows: The Beginning

Btw, there are some spoilers in here, if you care about that. Given that I’ve already been posting spoilers on my blog, I’m guessing you don’t.

Ep. 1 – Roger’s very first appearance is a close-up of him pouring himself a drink. Get used to this, it’s his signature move. He snarks at his sister Elizabeth, who is brooding out the window, calls his son David a “monster,” and says that Liz is making a mistake by hiring governess Vicky. He is a delightful, witty asshole with limited power. Elizabeth is clearly the one calling the shots at Collinwood, and she is only letting Roger stay at Collinwood for the sake of David.

Ep. 2-5, 7, 9, 12-13 – Roger spends much of these episodes freaking out over Burke Devlin’s return, while trying to pretend that he is not freaking out, harassing artist/drunk Sam Evans (who shares a dark secret with Roger concerning Burke’s past). Sam is clearly wracked with guilt, Roger only wants to save his own skin. He believes Vicky is potentially in league with Burke, or that she��ll at least let something slip that will get the family (meaning Roger himself) into trouble. He alternates between interrogating Vicky and turning on the charm. He avoids being an actual father as much as possible, and actively wants to send his son away. Ideally far, far away from him. We also get the history that Roger left town under mysterious circumstances, and that Liz has been sending him money every month on the basis that he never come back.

Ep. 15, 17, 18, 20, 22, 23, 25, 26, 28, 30, 31, 32, 36 – Roger gets into a car accident when his brakes fail, and is “nearly killed,” although he winds up with a bandage on his forehead and his arm in a sling. Roger was on his way to meet Burke Devlin in town, and Vicky saw Burke snooping around Roger’s car shortly before the accident, so Roger immediately assumes that Burke tried to kill him and spends several episodes trying to prove it while dragging Vicky in as a witness. Turns out it was David tampering with Roger’s brakes, and Roger reacts like a loving, concerned parent – by yelling at David and saying horrible things to/about him. Roger also suggests that David might be Burke’s bio son rather than his, since Roger’s wife Laura was originally dating Burke. In Ep. 36, Roger literally says something to David like, “Is the devil afraid of the shadows he lives in?” Father of the year, and also an absolute drama queen, like every other Collins. Liz covers the whole thing up by having loyal family handyman Matthew Morgan take the blame and claim it was a problem of negligent maintenance.

Ep. 37, 39, 40, 41, 45, 46, 47, 50, 51, 54-56, 59, 62, 65, 66, 68, 71, 74-76, 78, 80, 82, 83, 86-89, 93, 95-97, 100-106 The plot of Burke Devlin’s revenge, and Roger’s past crimes continues. Burke makes moves against the family business, Roger continues to harass Sam Evans about their shared secret, and harass Vicky about her supposed “snooping” and anytime she so much as speaks to Burke. Things heat up when plant manager Bill Malloy calls a meeting between Burke, Sam and Roger, ready to throw Roger under the bus to spare Liz from Burke’s revenge plot – but Bill is murdered before he can arrive at the meeting. The show then spends a loooong time casting suspicion on Roger, Burke and Sam as suspects, including a drawn-out storyline about some extra special unique pen that Burke gave to Carolyn and then Roger took from Carolyn to give back to Burke, and that Vicky finds near the site of Bill’s murder. You would not believe how many episodes this show spends on the pen. Roger is either a vaguely sinister figure, or a savior for Vicky depending on which way the story is leaning and new revelations about who had the pen last. (Turns out that murderer is a completely different character.) Ep. 41 has Roger flippantly admitting to Liz that he frittered away his inheritance money, but he “enjoyed himself doing it,” which I think is a defining moment for him. Liz is all about family legacy and responsibility and has a strong, determined personality, Roger doesn’t give a fuck, and will happily live off his sister’s money. (Not very Shaw of him, I know. I think Liz is the one that Sebastian might actually respect.) Ep. 87 has Roger find Vicky after David locked her in a room in the closed-off west wing of the house, but first he spends a few minutes fucking with her because he is once again trying to drive her away from Collinwood, and it is hilarious, it’s like a grown man doing middle school pranks.

Ep. 112, 114, 119, 125, 126, 127 – The Bill Malloy murder plot is resolved when handyman Matthew Morgan admits to the crime, so Roger is off the hook. But Matthew also holds Vicky hostage due to her knowledge of his crime, first briefly at his cottage, then for several days in a secret room at the Old House. Poor Vicky can’t catch a break! Roger is callously unconcerned when Vicky disappears, nursing a grudge for her getting him arrested over the whole pen debacle. David, who has been sneaking food to Matthew and is convinced that he is innocent, eventually discovers Vicky, but it still takes him forever to finally tell an adult about it. Roger, as usual, doesn’t believe David and dismisses him completely, but thankfully Burke Devlin, who is getting set up as a romantic interest for Vicky and being written more heroically, gets off his ass to do something and drags Roger along with him. The two set aside their differences to head out to the Old House with guns to rescue Vicky. They still would have been too late, but the ghosts of the Old House actually do something useful and scare Matthew to death.

Ep. 128-132, 134-140, 146, 147, 149-154, 156-158, 160, 161, 163, 165, 167, 169-171, 178, 182, 183, 187, 188, 191, 192 – The next big plot arc on the show is the return of Laura Collins, Roger’s estranged wife and David’s mother, who first shows up during the Matthew Morgan arc as a mystery woman hanging out at the diner. Laura wants a divorce and full custody of David, and Roger is only too eager to give her both those things, but Elizabeth, who actually gives a shit about David, objects. Laura has spent time in a mental hospital, and she was away for most of David’s life, so he barely remembers her. David also has a weird fear response to seeing Laura, which is natural for a kid meeting a parent that’s been gone so long, but in the context of the show turns out to be something supernatural. Laura is also the former girlfriend of Burke Devlin, so there is a lot of drama back and forth between them, and Roger comes to suspect that they are both plotting against him. In Ep. 139 Roger catches Burke meeting Laura on Collinwood grounds, holds a gun on him, and hilariously insists that he could kill Burke and get away with it because Burke is trespassing. Roger, buddy, that’s not how the law works, even in the gun-crazy US. There’s also drama about Sam Evans feeling compelled to paint a picture of Laura surrounded by fire, and suspicions about a burned body that was found in Laura’s old apartment. Laura’s behavior becomes more and more sinister, Elizabeth winds up comatose in the hospital from a mystery illness, and Vicky investigates Laura’s past with the help of bland boyfriend Frank Garner (he’ll just disappear from the show) and intensely boring character/terrible actor Dr. Guthrie. Eventually they realize that Laura is a legendary phoenix, who has “died” in fire and resurrected herself many times over the centuries (and this before Jean Grey ever did it), and who wants to take David with her this time. Roger is his usual shitty self most of the time, condescendingly dismissing everyone’s concerns and delighted at the chance to get rid of David. Finally, even Roger gets onboard the “Save David” train, especially after he sees an actual supernatural occurrence (a book opening by itself) that he can’t explain away, in Ep. 182. Laura eventually lures David to a fishing shack to burn them both alive, David is saved by Vicky, the real MVP of this arc. Afterwards, in Ep. 192, Roger at least attempts to show some concern and affection for David. Roger also shows some real emotion and concern when Elizabeth collapses, although he later insists that Liz is just “being dramatic” over not getting her own way.

As an aside – Roger spends a lot of these episodes in a fancy-dandy rich guy outfit that reminds me a lot of one St. John Allerdyce in his early appearances. And Shaw himself, of course.

Ep. 193, 194, 196-198, 200, 201, 204 – The next big plot arc on the show is the appearance of con man Jason McGuire, who is there to blackmail Elizabeth over skeletons in her closet (or rather under the basement floor). Liz has been reclusive and secretive this whole series, and this arc will explain at least some of her actions. And we’ve already had two arcs about Roger’s shady past, it’s Liz’s turn! Jason also brings his sidekick, petty criminal Willie Loomis who will play the very important role of unleashing vampire Barnabas from his coffin and onto the show. Barnabas will become insanely popular and dominate the show, gradually edging out characters like Roger and Liz, although they still stick around and get occasional storylines. Roger is just kind of there for much of these arcs – there’s a plot line about Sam Evans demanding old paintings back from him, but it doesn’t really go anywhere. Roger does express concern and frustration over Liz basically letting Jason walk all over her, and offers his help as her brother. In Ep. 242, for example, he seems genuinely concerned and supportive. Ep. 200-201 are also important for Roger, as Sam and Burke confront him and he finally admits the truth of the crime he committed years ago (killing someone in a drunk hit-and-run, blaming Burke). Burke is satisfied with Roger’s admission of guilt, and finally drops his revenge plot – this both wraps up that storyline, and lets Burke shift from antagonist into Vicky’s love interest. Despite not having as much to do, Roger is hilarious when he does show up, very much the “drink in one hand, witty comment” rich guy snob, again reminding me of early Pyro and well-written Sebastian.

Dark Shadows

After all that, you have finally made it to the main Dark Shadows collection, starting with Ep. 210.

Ep. 214, 219, 240-242, 249, 252, 264, 268, 272, 273, 277, 280, 281, 313, 330, 331, 334, 339, 354, 357, 362, 365 – Vampire Barnabas Collins has come to town, introducing himself as their distant cousin from England, a descendant of the original Barnabas, and bearing a remarkable resemblance to his portrait on the wall. Barnabas fixes up the Old House to live in, takes on Willie as a servant despite everyone’s objections (Willie was so shitty everyone was ready to run him out of town), and seems like a perfect gentleman, if a bit strange and mysterious. Of course, Barnabas has bitten Willie and placed him in thrall, and bites then kidnaps waitress Maggie Evans, and tries to brainwash her into becoming his bride. Meanwhile, Jason McGuire continues to blackmail Liz, attempts to force her into marriage, and Liz finally breaks down and reveals her own deep dark secret – she killed her husband. Except it turns out she really didn’t, Jason just let her think she did. There’s a great sequence of Roger and Burke chasing Jason through the woods with guns as he flees in Ep. 272, and him having a heart-to-heart talk with Liz in 273.

The Barnabas plot continues, as Maggie escapes, loses her memory, gets committed. This brings in Dr. Julia Hoffman, who quickly figures out that Barnabas is a vampire, and offers an experiment to cure his condition, while hypnotizing Maggie into forgetting everything and helping Barnabas cover his crimes. Julia, like Willie, will become one of Barnabas’s main sidekicks/enablers. Throughout this, Roger continues to be a witty rich guy who always has a drink in one hand, and a bad father, although more caring and less openly hostile to his son. David starts to learn things about Barnabas (not to mention hanging out with Barnabas’s dead sister Sarah) and Roger and Liz discuss sending him away, as they think he has become delusional. (David is actually completely right in everything he says.) Ep. 354 introduces a lawyer who is representing an employee of the Collins family cannery who is apparently suing due to a workplace injury, and whom Roger has been ignoring for some time. Good to see Roger cares about his employees as much as Sebastian does!

In Ep. 365, Vicky Winters is transported to 1795 during a séance, where she will stay until Ep. 461. This entire arc is all in the past, there is no back-and-forth, and Roger’s actor plays Joshua Collins, the stern, cruel businessman with bushy sideburns who is even more Shaw than Roger himself. Shortly after Vicky’s return, Roger will abruptly marry Cassandra, who is Barnabas’s nemesis Angelique in a bad wig, and her control over Roger will be his main story arc for awhile. But I haven’t gotten there yet.

If you have read this much, I am impressed. This “guide” was fun to write, and helped me appreciate Roger, a character that I never paid much attention to when I first watched the show. He’s become one of my favorites now.

Some headcanon I have on Gap the Series

1) Mon’s parents actually knew, or at least suspected, that the relationship between Mon and Sam is more than boss-employee but they decided to wait for Mon to be ready to tell them

2) Mon’s parents has a bet going on, on when Mon will tell them. And another bet on what is the next excuse Mon is using to stay over at Sam’s house

3) they went to the CherRisa resort after their marriage. Not as honeymoon place. They go there to meet up with Cher and Risa to let them know they are married now too, and just to have a small vacation.

4) further to above, I would like to think that Risa and Mon will have a close relationship where Mon will seek Risa’s advice and whatnot; while Sam and Cher will forever have that slightly antagonistic relationship in which they will always try to rile each other up (which in itself is a delight to watch) while the wives at the side going “I swear to god these two acts like brats sometimes” “yeah, but they are our lovable brats anyway”

5) Jim, knowing about Sam’s possessive streak, will sometimes do something to trigger that, just because she’s bored and Sam and Mon’s relationship is her source of entertainment. Sometimes Tee joined in too.

6) and then The Gang discovered that Mon is also possessive af.

7) Sam actually loves her company. It’s the first thing that is actually hers, and in her control; as opposed to all other things in her life

8) I would like to think, Neung and Grandma kinda be amicable when Grandma was in hospital. But Grandma started to contact Neung and try to make amends after she realised letting her grandchildren have their happiness is not a bad thing after all

9) Neung resisted initially but then she still loves Grandma. And Sam and Mon also kinda asking her to re-consider. She will relents and reconcile but she is not leaving her lifestyle

10) The staffs at Diversity will ask Mon to talk to Sam if they knew an idea will annoy the boss. Mon will only agrees to do it if she thinks the idea is actually good

11) Also, the staffs will know when Mon and Sam is having a lovers’ spat or something. It’s like a mini soap-opera for them

12) the first meeting between Grandma and Teacher Pohn and Aon will be hilariously awkward

13) Sam actually started to call Mon her wife in her head even before they got together. “Oh my wife is extra cute today. Hmm, how do I make her be in my room constantly? Oh I know! Reject her idea and keep asking her to come in here” (she’s a stupid useless traumatized gay, forgive her)

14) Sir Phoom actually has a boyfriend somewhere

15) Mon’s main love language is Acts of Service and Physical Touch. Sam’s would be Physical Touch and Gift-Giving

16) Sam is the most smug person in the whole world every time she’s introducing Mon as her partner/wife

17) Tee and Yuki after they gave sex advice to Sam and Mon: “Our friends are dumbasses”

18) Sam keeps learning and failing to communicate properly but she still does it coz she wants the best for Mon

19) they, at the very least, had a make out session in Duan Pen. And Sam actually apologised to Duan Pen after she and Mon had a quickie in there “Sorry Duan Pen for traumatizing you but I always lose control when she did that thing she does”

20) Nita is heartbroken when she heard the news of SamMon wedding. Then went to CherRisa resort and find a new love there.

21) Sam and Mon will be disgustingly sweet in front of The Gang. The Gang will take pleasure in roasting them

22) All this while, Sam actually helps to support Ice in secret. She still keep in contact with Ice and helps out whenever she can

23) this is not headcanon but Kirk can go to hell

Fanfic: Love is a fire - Characters’ ages

So, in order to write my fic and make it as canon compliant as reasonably possible, I researched over the character ages as BNHA gives them but in a way that keeps into consideration the character's birthday (example: Natsuo in the manga is shown as having 3 and 4 age of difference compared to Fuyumi, that's because the first time he already had his birthday but the same couldn't be said for the second time, although Hatsume is also in the 1st year of high school, same as Midoriya and Co, her age is given as 16 as she already had her birthday).

As, in addition to the age they've in the fic, I listed all the calculation process as well as the age they would have in the manga, even who's not reading my fic might find this of some interest.

Characters’ ages at the start of this fic (30 December, which also means 2 years and 4 months before Midoriya and All Might meet in the manga):

Todoroki Enji (轟炎司) aka Flame Hero: Endeavor (フレイムヒーローエンデヴァー): 42 as he’s born on the 8th of August (Near Shizuoka). In the manga in May his age is given as 45.This makes him a little more than twice as old as Tōya. Other relevant facts about him are before high school his father died, at 20 he was already Number Two and that Tōya should have been conceived in spring when he was still 21, meaning by that age he had already married Rei. By how Rei is wearing a scarf on their first date, we can assume it was in winter. Quirk: Hellflame (ヘルフレイム), Height: 195 cm, Weight: 118 kg, Blood: AB, Favorite food: Kuzo Mochi.

Todoroki Rei (轟冷) aka Himura Rei (氷叢冷): 38. Canonically we don’t know how old she is. I assume she’s younger than Enji. Since Horikoshi usually makes wives much younger than husbands, I’ll assume it’s Horikoshi’s trend and that she is younger than Enji. I might be wrong. Quirk type: Ice (氷結 Hyōketsu).

Todoroki Tōya (轟燈矢) aka Dabi (荼毘 Cremation): 19 but about to turn 20 as he’s born on the 18th of January. In the manga in mid-December his age is given as 23. Other relevant facts about him are that, in order for Tōya and Natsuo’s age difference to work Enji started training him at 3 and he started burning around the summer of that year with Natsuo being conceived on November of that year, that when he was 8 he attacked Shōto, that when he was 13, in December (or in January prior to his birthday) his flames turned blue, Rei snapped and was hospitalized and Tōya burned himself and ended up in All for One’s hands and comatose. He woke up three years after, likely when he was 17 or about to turn as such. Quirk: Blueflame (蒼炎 Sōen), Height: 176 cm, Hated food: Fish.

Todoroki Fuyumi (轟冬美): 19 as she’s born on the 6th of December and, canonically, Fuyumi is supposed to be 1 year younger than Tōya which, considering the months in which they had birth, would mean if they’re born in different years, would make her almost 2 years younger than her brother (to be exact 1 year 10 months and 20 days). However the manga shows an image of her being an infant while Tōya is still learning how to walk. As kids learn to walk at around 1 year of age, I assumed they were born in the same year and are in fact only 10 months and 20 days apart. It fits with how in chap 187, in November, her age is given as 22. Quirk type: Ice (氷結 Hyōketsu), Height: 160 cm, Favorite things: Soap opera.

Todoroki Natsuo (轟夏雄): 15 (last year of middle school - Corusan Middle school (凝山中学校 Corusan chūgakkō*) as he’s born on the 1st of July. Canonically… we aren’t sure of Natsuo’s age. In chap 187 he’s 19 and 3 years younger than Fuyumi, in chap 302 he’s 4 years younger than Fuyumi and 5 years younger than Tōya. However the difference might be explained by assuming that chap 302 took place before July, so neither Natsuo nor Fuyumi had turned 9 and 13 respectively, while we know chap 187 takes place around November so Natsuo has turned 19 but Fuyumi isn’t yet 23. Quirk type: Ice (氷結 Hyōketsu), Height: 181 cm, Favorite things: Sashimi, the sea,

Todoroki Shōto (轟焦凍) aka Shōto (ショート): 11 (last year of elementary school - Corusan Elementary school (凝山小学校 Corusan Shōgakkō*) but about to turn 12 as he’s born on the 11th of January (Near Shizuoka). Canonically Shōto is 8 years younger than Tōya and, since he’s 11 this would place him at his sixth year of elementary school, which would mean he has more than 3 years before he would attempt the exam for U.A. High school. Quirk: Half-cold Half-hot (半冷半燃 Hanrei Han'nen), Height: 176 cm, Blood: 0, Favorite food: Zaru Soba.

Kurumada Untenmaru (車田運天丸): 43 as he’s born on the 4th of March. He is 47 when he’s introduced in January, meaning he’s about to turn 48. Height: 180cm, Favorite things: Flowers.

Kamiji Moe (上路萌) aka Burnin (バーニン): 21 but about to turn 22 as she’s born on the 18th of January. Canon states her as 25 in January, when Shōto and his classmates begin to work in Endeavor Agency, meaning she should be about to turn 26. This makes her 10 years older than Shōto therefore this would also mean she was 15 about to turn 16 when Tōya supposedly died, which places her at the first year of high school which, considering her line of work, was likely a Hero high school. Quirk: Blazing hair (燃髪 Nenpatsu), Height 169 cm.

Kidō (キドウ): Canonically we don’t know how old he is. Quirk: Traject (軌道 Kidō).

Onimā (オニマー): Canonically we don’t know how old he is.

Yagi Toshinori (八木俊典) aka All Might (オールマイト): 52. Canonically we don’t know how old he is but he’s born on the 10th of June (Tokyo) and in chap 397 he says he’s more than 55 and in chap 304 that he had All for One for 40 years. According to the script for Episode 49 Yagi is 14 when he meets Shimura Nana and she likely passed him One for All before he went to Hero high school, which, considering he’s born in June, he started at 15 years and 10 months. Due to this I’ll say 56 is a good approximation and this makes him 10 years older than Enji. Other relevant facts about him are he was 18 when Nana died and, once he finished U.A. he moved in the states and came back in Japan when he was 23. 5 years before meeting Midoriya he got seriously wounded by All for One. In the canon of this fic, if it happened in April, it would means he was 49 about to turn 50. 5 years before being hurt, he accepted Sasaki Mirai as his own sidekick. Quirk: One For All (ワン・フォー・オール), Epithet: "Symbol of Peace" (平和の象徴 Heiwa no Shōchō), Height: 220cm (muscle form), Weight: 274kg (Before injury)/255kg (Muscle form), Blood: A.

Sasaki Mirai (佐々木未来) aka Sir Nighteye (サー・ナイトアイ): 34 but about to turn 35 as he’s born on the 2nd of January (Tokyo). In the manga he’s introduced after October started and his age is given as 38. Other relevant facts about him are he was All Might sidekick for 5 years but their partnership dissolved when All Might got hurt by All for One. Quirk: Foresight (予知 Yochi), Height: 200 cm, Blood: AB, Favorite things: heroes, especially All Might.

Torino Sorahiko (酉野空彦) aka Gran Torino (グラントリノ): Canonically we don’t know how old he is but he’s born on the 28th of January (Yamanashi Prefecture). Quirk: Jet (ジェット), Height: 120cm (Currently)-200cm+ (Formerly), Blood: B.

Hakamada Tsunagu (袴田維) aka Fiber Hero: Best Jeanist (ファイバーヒーローベストジー二スト): 32 as he’s born on the 5th of October (Okayama Prefecture). In the manga he’s introduced in between May and summer and his age is given as 35. Quirk: Fiber Master (ファイバーマスター), Height: 190cm, Blood: AB.

Toyomitsu Taishirō (豊満太志郎) aka BMI Hero: Fat Gum (BMI ヒーローファットガム): 25 as he’s born on the 8th of August (Osaka). In the manga he’s introduced in October and his age is given as 29. Quirk: Fat Absorption (脂肪吸着 Shibō Kyūchaku), Height: 250cm (Fat form), Blood: O.

Nezu (根津): Canonically we don’t know how old he is but he’s born on the 1st of January 1 (Tokyo). Quirk: High Spec (ハイスペック), Height: 85 cm, Blood: A.

Shūzenji Chiyo (修善寺治与) aka Youthful Heroine: Recovery Girl (妙齢ヒローインリカバリーガール Myōrei Heroine Recovery Girl): Around 62/66. Canonically we don’t know how old she is but she’s born on the 4th of April (Tokyo). Age of retirement in Japan is currently 70 but I’m not sure if it applies to Heroes in BNHA, however, considering she was working as a nurse when Enji was in high school I’ll assume the youngest she could be back then as a teacher is 20 and which makes her age in canon range from 65 to 69 in the final arc. Quirk: Heal (癒し Iyashi), Height: 115cm, Blood: B.

Cook Hero: Lunch Rush (クックヒーローランチラッシュ): Canonically we don’t know how old he is but he’s born on the 17th of June (Niigata Prefecture). Height: 160cm, Blood: AB.

Aizawa Shōta (相澤消太) aka Erasure Hero: Eraser Head (抹消ヒーローイレイザーヘッド Masshō Hero Eraser Head): 27 as he’s born on the 8th of November (Tokyo). In the manga he’s introduced in April and his age is given as 30. Other relevant facts about him are he started his work studies when he was 16, during summer, under His Purple Highness at Purple Revolution Agency, along with Kayama and Shirakumo. Quirk: Erasure (抹消 Masshō), Height: 183cm, Blood: B.

Yamada Hizashi (山田ひざし) aka Voice Hero: Present Mic (ボイスヒーロープレゼントマイクVoice Hero: Present Mic): 27 as he’s born on the 7th of July (Tokyo). In the manga he’s introduced in April and his age is given as 30. Height: 185 cm, Blood: B.

Kayama Nemuri (香山睡) aka R-Rated Hero: Midnight (18禁ヒーローミッドナイト Jū-hachi-kin Hero: Midnight): 27 as he’s born on the 9th of March (Saitama Prefecture). In the manga we’re told in April her age is 31. Quirk: Somnambulist (眠り香 Nemuriga), Height: 175cm, Blood: A.

Kurose Anan (黒瀬亜南) aka Space Hero: Thirteen (スペースヒーロー 13号 Space Hero Jū-san Gō): 24 as she’s born on the 3rd of February (Kagoshima Prefecture (Tanegashima). In the manga she’s introduced in April and her age is given as 28.Quirk: Black Hole (ブラックホール), Height: 180cm.

Inui Ryō (犬井猟) aka Hunting Dog Hero: Hound Dog (猟犬ヒーローハウンドドッグ Ryōken Hero Hound Dog): 29 as he’s born on the 15th of November (Tokyo). In the manga he’s introduced in mid-August and his age is given as 32. Quirk: Dog (犬 Inu), Height: 196cm, Blood: A.

Shirakumo Oboro (白雲朧) aka Loud Cloud (ラウドクラウド): Canonically he died at 17 during his second year of high school while he was at his work study and he was born on the 5th of May. This means his death happened by already more than 10 years ago, around October since it was short after the start of the new semester.Quirk: Cloud (雲 Cloud), Height: 187 cm.

Shimura Nana (志村菜奈): Canonically we don’t know how old she was but she met Yagi at 31 and died at 35, killed by All for One. Quirk: Float (浮遊 Fuyū), One For All (ワン・フォー・オール). Family: Shimura Kotarō (志村弧太朗) (Son).

Tsukauchi Naomasa (塚内直正): 32 as he’s born on the 4th of April (Iwate Prefecture). In the manga he’s introduced in April (likely after the 4th) and his age is given as 36.Code name: True Man (トゥルーマン), Height: 180 cm, Family: Tsukauchi Makoto (塚内真) (Younger Sister).

Shigaraki (死柄木) aka All For One (オール・フォー・ワン): Canonically we don’t know how old she is but it’s said to be over 100. Main Quirk: All For One (オール・フォー・ワン), Alias: Master (先生 Sensei), Epithet: "Symbol of Evil" (悪の象徴 Aku no Shōchō), Ruler of evil (悪の支配者 Aku no shihai-sha), Emperor of darkness (闇の帝王 Yami no teiō), Demon Lord (魔王 Maō), Height: 225cm, Blood: B Family: Shigaraki Yoichi (死柄木与一) (Younger brother).

Shimura Tenko (志村転弧) aka Shigaraki Tomura (死柄木弔): 16 as he’s born on the 4th of April. In the manga in mid-December his age is given as 20. Other relevant dates about him are he gained his Quirk at 5, probably in summer, and, on that same day, he ended up murdering his whole family by mistake. Quirk: Decay (崩壊 Hōkai), Epithet: "Symbol of Fear" (恐怖の象徴 Kyōfu no Shōchō), Height: 175.26cm, Weight: 59.8kg, Family: Shimura Kotarō (志村弧太朗) (Father), Shimura Nao (志村直) (Mother), Shimura Hana (志村華) (Older sister), Shimura Nana (志村菜奈) (Paternal grandmother), Chizuo (千津夫) (Maternal grandfather), Mako (真子) (Maternal grandmother).

Kurogiri (黒霧 Black Fog): 10, assuming that Shirakumo was turned into Kurogiri immediately. Quirk: Warp Gate (ワープゲート).

Garaki Kyūdai (殻木球大) aka Ujiko Daruma (氏子達磨) aka Tsubasa (翼): Canonically we don’t know how old he is but he’s supposed to be over 120 years. Quirk: Life Force (摂生 Sessei).

Sun-Sun Haruaki (スンスン晴明): Canonically we don’t know how old he is.

Akaguro Chizome (赤黒血染) aka Hero Killer: Stain (ヒーロー殺しステイン Hero Goroshi Stain) aka Stendhal (スタンダール): 28 as he’s born on the 14th of June. In the manga he’s introduced in May and his age is given as 31. Other relevant dates about him are he attended to a private high school for Heroes but despaired over “the fundamentally corrupt view of Heroes within the educational system” and dropped out the summer after his first year. Until the end of his teen years he made speeches on the streets calling for the return of the old idea of heroes until he decided words have no powers and, for the next ten years began learning killing techniques on his own. During those ten years his parents died and he took the identity of Stendhal, becoming a Vigilante who kills Villains. After his meeting with Knuckleduster, which happens after All Might was injured by All for One, he decides to become Hero Killer: Stain and target Heroes as well. Before he’s stopped he murdered 17 Heroes and put 23 Heroes permanently out of commission. Quirk: Bloodcurdle (凝血 Gyōketsu), Height: 182cm, Blood Type: B.

Kizuki Chitose (気月置歳) aka Curious (キュリオス): Canonically we don’t know how old she is. Quirk: Landmine (地雷 Jirai).

EXTRA (as they didn’t appear but I still checked on their ages)

Takami Keigo (鷹見啓悟) aka Wing Hero: Hawks (ウィングヒーローホークス): 19 as he’s born on the 28th of December (Fukuoka). In the manga he’s introduced in November and his age is given as 22. Other relevant facts about him are it seems in an Interview of Honyasan MA with Kohei Horikoshi’s current editor they said he was taken in by the commission and trained hard under them when he was six years old*, he started his own agency at just 18 and made it into the top ten of that year’s second ranking which takes place in November (meaning he might have opened his agency in January). Then in the ranking before All Might retirement, he became Number 3 and in the one post his retirement Number 2. Quirk: Fierce Wings (剛翼 Gōyoku), Height: 172 cm, Blood: B.

Toga Himiko (渡我被身子) aka Toga Himiko (トガヒミコ) aka Yakuza Toga (ゴクドー者のトガ Gokudō-sha no Toga): 13 as she’s born on the 7th of August. In the manga in mid-December her age is given as 17. Other relevant dates about her are she runs away after middle school graduation, therefore when she was 15. Quirk: Transform (変身 Henshin), Height: 157cm.

Bubaigawara Jin (分倍河原仁) aka Twice (トゥワイス): 27 as he’s born on the 10th of May. In the manga in mid-December his age is given as 31. At 16 he ran down with his motorcycle a young man and got fired from his job. His parents were killed while he was in middle school by a Villain. Quirk: Double (二倍 Nibai), Height: 178cm.

Iguchi Shūichi (伊口秀一) aka Spinner (スピナー): 17 as he’s born on the 8th of August. In the manga in mid-December his age is given as 21. Quirk: Gecko (ヤモリ Yamori), Height: 174cm.

Sako Atsuhiro (迫圧紘) aka Mr. Compress (Mr.コンプレス): 28 as he’s born on the 8th of October. In the manga in March his age is given as 32. Quirk: Compress (圧縮 Asshuku), Height: 181cm.

Notes:

- In canon we only know that, according to "Ultra Archive", Todoroki Shōto went to Corusan Middle school (凝山中学校 Corusan chūgakkō). I assume it's actually an institute that has Elementary and Middle school and sent all the Todoroki kids there

My thoughts on Dr. Stone’s S03E03 (“First Contact”)

(Safe to read for anime-only folks.)

My thoughts after watching Season Three, Episode Three:

01. It's cool the way they showed the black-and-white aerial photographs as squares next to each other, like a map! And everybody's helping! :)

02. That's a lot of work, looking for oil in so many photos... :O But It's great that the photos are helping so much with their winter food preparations! :D

03. Ryusui is dreaming of luxury food, and Francois can deliver... with the help of the learned expert, Suika! And Chalk, of course! :) Kohaku looks so happy to see Suika! :D

04. Hahaha! Kohaku caught so many boars, just like that! XD Poor little babies, though... :O

05. Wow, even Chrome, who's known Kohaku for years - and Senku, who knows how difficult it would be - doubted her, but Gen thinks it's possible she might be able to spot truffles from aerial photos! :)

06. Although in this case, the latter two are the correct ones XD But, instead of truffles, she found oil, and she looked so happy about it! :D I love how they're so excited that they're all just running out of the laboratory together to search right away! :O

07. I can't even blame the boar for eating that truffle... after all, finders keepers! XD And this way, we get awesome close-up shots of Chalk! We've never seen him this close before! Look at those paws! :)

08. That cliff is the cliff in the opening song! :O

09. This is just like the tungsten moment, and the final battle moment, where Senku REALLY needs to come up with a new plan. Suika helped him the first time; Kohaku started a siege for him the second time; and now, Kohaku's discovery and Suika's new friend helped him find the oil they all needed! :D

10. "Don't simmer him!" Hahaha! XD

11. Suika, the boar whisperer :O And, "You gotta start with a name if you want to make friends." VERY insightful! :O

12. Sagara found the oil field! :D Senku was SO eager to see the oil that he was the FIRST one to see Sagara enjoying it :O

13. I wonder how Senku made matches... What is the flammable thing at the end of matches, and how do you make those in the stone world? I'll have to research that when the time comes! :)

14. Senku and Kohaku and the others have oil now! :)

15. Uh-huh, reward for morale purposes, SURE, Senku. As if it didn't make you happy to see Suika happy! :D

16. Sagara has joined the party! :D

17. Senku, we all think you're awesome, but... we are NOT asking for engine details right now XD

18. Taiju helped identify the oil! :) Ah, we love a callback, especially to the very first episode of the very first season... :D And that's a great observation made by Ryusui about exceeding the science in the old world! :)

19. They didn't wait for Ukyo before starting the engine? Guys! :O

20. Now, instead of swallows, we have seagulls! :)

21. This is, like, the five wise generals' equivalent of a road trip! Or a sea trip? :D

22. Those look like some very powerful radio waves... :O Hahaha, looks like Ukyo's into roughin' it when it comes to sea navigation :D

23. Say whatever you want about Ginro, but when he's not going against his allies in an effort to be crowned village chief, he really supports his friends' potential romantic relationships! XD

24. And come to think of it, Ruri and Chrome must have been the village's equivalent of a soap opera. I can see why even the elderly folks are excited about the idea of her confessing her feelings to Chrome! :D

25. The Morse Code transmission, at last! As a manga reader, I've really been looking forward to this! I thought it would make an awesome season finale, but everybody's minds might have simultaneously exploded from the mystery and speculation... and the timing wouldn't have been right anyway :D

26. Ukyo receiving the signal with the antenna; Ryusui's plasma suggestion; Chrome's curiosity; Senku's insight about the radio waves; Gen's realization that it was a message in Morse Code... :O

27. Back then, I really wondered which word, "naze" or "doshite," would be used for this "why." I think I favored doshite, but it looks like it was naze after all! XD And the unsettling music and sound effects during this scene were particularly good details to include! :D

28. Senku, for somebody who preserved his thinking mind for three thousand seven hundred years, your self-preservation instincts in this episode were... uh... WHY would you taunt the "WHY" message sender like that?! :O

29. The voice saying that in English kind of threw me off. I wasn't expecting that, for some reason. I was expecting, "Doshite? Doshite? Doshite?" :O

31. This episode, at last! :) The future isn't exactly a mystery to me, because I read the whole manga, but it's so great that the anime is finally at this point! (And beyond it, actually, since I'm really late in watching these episodes, haha!) Imagine talking to the one who petrified all the inhabitants of your entire planet (except for six people)... and the FIRST think you hear is them asking YOU "Why, why, why?" It's just so wrong and weird on so many levels! And Senku is being just like himself, wanting to know everything there is to know - ESPECIALLY everything about the one behind the petrification! :O This anime series is so exhilarating! :D
