23Lémej les dijo a sus esposas: “Adá y Tzilá, oigan mi voz; esposas de Lémej, escuchen mi discurso. He matado a un hombre hiriendo[lo], y a un niño golpeando[lo].
24Si Kain será vengado siete veces, entonces por Lémej serán setenta y siete veces”
25Adam conoció nuevamente a su esposa, y ella dio a luz un hijo. Lo llamó Shet: “Porque Dios me ha concedido (shat) otro descendiente en lugar de Hével, a quien Kain ha matado”.
26A Shet también le nació un hijo, y [Shet] lo llamó Enosh. Se comenzó entonces a orar con el nombre de Dios.
Capítulo 5
1Éste es el libro de las Crónicas de Adam: El día en que Dios creó al hombre, Él lo hizo a semejanza de Dios.
2Los creó varón y hembra. Los bendijo y los llamó Hombre (Adam) el día en que fueron creados.
3Adam vivió 130 años, y tuvo un hijo a su semejanza y forma. Lo llamó Shet.

5Todos los días que Adam vivió fueron 930 años, y murió.
6Shet vivió 105 años, y tuvo un hijo, Enosh.
