#6 vs. 8

something I have noticed with 6s is that they all love to read. even the 8-fixed 6s. this is actually the way I tell apart 6 and 8 in people who clearly have both, including myself. do they enjoy reading? do they have the patience to focus on details of what they're ranting about? (6) or are they intellectually and mentally lazy af and always trying to outsource the detached detail work to someone else? (8) also, are they proving something impartially and speaking confidently in their area(s) of expertise (6) or are they telling you how it is on a very rocky subjective basis (8)?

6s care about expertise, qualification, etc. because 6 is a methodological type that believes everything must be proven, including one's right to speak about things. 8 believes my feelings and whims know the truth better than anything.

8s and 6s both love ranting but in 8s there is more emphasis on the emotions of anger and in 6s there is more emphasis on the actual details. 6s feel they really need to back their arguments up with logic and rationality which is somehow detached from emotion.whereas 8s are possessed by their anger and emotion and 8s really use the emotions of rage to decide whats true and whats not. 8s have a "MY BODY KNOWS THE TRUTH" "MY TRUTH IS THE TRUTH" "there is no truth in the world everyones a liar so why shouldnt I be" "*insert blind faith in my own intuiton*" attitude which makes us feel above really proving what we believe.

all this utter crap about 8 being emotionless falls for the age old fallacy of thinking anger (the thing 8 loves to embrace and amplify) isn't an emotion.

this distinction between 8 being emotional and 6 being logical, is the basis of all my posts where I explain that 8 is an attention seeking shockjock while 6s are more likely to actually persuade people to believe what they're saying.

6s feel obliged to prove what they believe using some form of scientific or rational detached method. if they don't feel publicly obliged to prove it then they still feel obliged to prove their own beliefs to themselves using logic. 6s are more detached from emotion than 8s are, for better or for worse

why 6s are hated by the community and 8s aren't

because the community is full of psychotic authoritarian loons.

mostly of the 1-4 line cult leader variety though you do get others.

type 6s are always the #1 greatest threat to authoritarians and moody cult leaders (looking at you 4s) everywhere. 8 is the biggest threat to authorities if you have only a surface understanding of enneagram, but everyone with a deeper understanding knows that 8s are retards who don't actually get anything done with regard to challenging authority. they either make themselves a target too quickly and get piled on (imprisoned, exiled, killed, tortured etc.) or their anger + rash stupidity combination gets taken advantage of and they get turned into controlled opposition by the same authority they think they're rebelling against.

8s are the typology equivalent of ISIS and antifa rioters whose anger is taken advantage of by the establishment to terrorize people in psyops that end up being twisted to serve the establishment's agendas. 8s are those people who destroy their own neighborhoods making them ripe for deeper state control, whilst thinking they're being revolutionary and challenging the system of course. 8s might be semi smart and stay out of prison but they still can't help standing out in the way they challenge authority. they vomit their rage and make themselves a target. even if they don't show their rage, their attempts to spite authority are always, always too direct.

6s are people who hate authority but then doubt their very hatred of authority unlike 8s who just show a pointed hatred towards authority. 6s stay out of crime, blend in, express themselves very carefully, gain social status as people of integrity and reliability, expose authority's lies using facts and logic (another thing 8 hates), and they slowly but surely change the common man's perceptions of reality through vocal skepticism, arguing, complaining and persuasion. you cannot target these people and kill them and get away with it like you can with 8s. 6s make an effort to appear harmless, lovely and normie whilst they corrode authority from within. whether they are Good or Bad these people are a far greater threat to any agenda seeking to control other human beings than 8s will ever be.
