4x21: Sam is locked in Bobby’s panic room, looking out at Dean through a small window grate in the door. He says, “Look, I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have lied to you, just... Open the door.” Dean shakes his head a little and says, ‘You don’t have to apologize.” Sam grinds his teeth a little and Dean continues, “It’s not your fault that you lied to me. Over and over again. I get it now. You couldn’t help it.”

8x21: Sam and Dean stand in the hallway of a hotel, Sam is a little delirious and teary-eyed as a result of the trials. He asks Dean, “You think... maybe I knew? I mean, deep down, that– I had demon blood in me? And about the evil of it? And that I’m– Wasn’t... pure?” Sam takes a breath and Dean looks away before calmly saying, “Sam, it’s not your fault.” Sam points at him, smiling a little, saying, “It doesn’t matter anymore. Because these trials...” Sam takes a deep breath and finishes, relieved, “They’re purifying me.”

9x08: Sam is sitting on the bed in their motel room and he tells Dean, “Or this is... just the way I am.” He looks despondent, and Dean turns his face up and away from him, looking pained and closing his eyes. He says quietly, “I can’t. I can’t let you put this on yourself.” He slowly sits down on the other bed, facing Sam, and says, “Listen to me. It’s not you, Sam.”

9x08: Sam asks, “What?” Dean looks back at him, confused, asking, “What?” Sam turns to look at him, clarifying, “What? W– What’s not me?” Dean rolls his eyes a little and says, “Nothing. I just. I meant that... If there is something wrong? It’s not your fault.” Sam nods a little, disappointed, and Dean continues, “We’ll figure it out.”
