ULTRAMagic Alternate Lore #1: The Basics of Magic

In the world of ULTRAMagic Alternate, magic is a part of everyday life, albeit amongst those capable of using it. Many mages, casters, and occultists have their own take on magic and it comes in all shapes and sizes. This entry will go over the basics of what types of magic there are.

Magic has existed for a long time, as long as intelligence has existed. Mind you ancient humans were not sure what they were doing, but the point still stands. A lot of higher and metaphysical entities are responsible for humanity's education surrounding magic, for better or for worse.

Magic has not had an easy time due to willingly ignorant humans rejecting the Arcane and the Occult. Magic was forced underground due to religion and ideology around the start of the medieval era, but this was a blessing in disguise. It allowed magic to flourish and grow to previously unheard-of heights. This would lead to the reemergence of magic in the 21st century.

Who, What, Why, and How (The basics)

Magic as a whole:

Who: Any open minded individual in touch with their soul, the universe, and accepting of God.

What: Magic is the achievement of goals and desires through the manipulation of the breath of life and Prima Materia.

Why: Usually magicians and alchemists have a goal, desire, or belief that serves as their motivation.

How: Magic is performed through the six cardinal techniques, usually done by using Pneuma as a medium for communion with entities and forces above and beyond human comprehension.

Limits:

Rejecting the other-side, refusing to learn, and being close-minded prevents one from learning magic.

Your imagination.

Becoming Zealous or overly ideological can cloud your mind, preventing you from practicing magic.

Having a physically damaged brain can hinder learning capabilities. Examples include: Stroke, severe head trauma, birth defect

The 6 types of Magic

In regards to the origin of magic:

If we were to split hairs over this, Aberrant would be the first type of magic to ever exist. Aberrant denotes any magic that does not traditionally fit into the six official categories. Any of the first magic ever cast could be considered Aberrant magic.

Officially, most agree that the first two forms of magic were Alchemy and Necromancy. Which came first is up for heavy debate. Alchemy is the refinement of Prima Materia while Necromancy is the communion with spirits. Alchemy laid the groundwork for magic as a whole, but a lot of ancient humans received elucidation from spirits of all kinds.

Aura and Void popped up naturally, but drew from Alchemy and Necromancy respectively. Aura was heavily favored by central and east Asia while Void always remained as an unknown anomaly. Soul and Weave were the most recent forms of magic to pop up. They drew from Alchemy and Necromancy respectively, just like Aura and Void.

Terminology:

There are a lot of names for magic casters. These can be names such as Sage, Druid, Pagan, Witch, Warlock, Wizard, Wicca, Witch Doctor, Guru, Shaman, Sorcerer, Magus, Saint, etc. The most common names seem to be Mage and Magician.

When speaking of Magicians, it is important not to confuse them with prestidigitators. These are NOT magicians in the slightest… barring the fact some have actually learned magic and adopted it into their performances…

Aptitude refers to the natural ability for a mage to use magic. A specialty is like a secondary aptitude, allowing the mage to learn another type of magic to a lesser degree. Typically people have an aptitude and specialty, but some can have multiple specialties. ULTRAMagic allows the mage to have as many specialties as they desire as the trait allows the mage to learn any form of magic.

Necromancy:

Who: anyone who has studied and practiced occult philosophy and tradition.

What: This is the communion with spirits and higher entities, asking them to assist you in order to achieve a desired outcome.

Why: some choose to ask for help rather than going through the trouble of learning other types of magic and some entities just so happen to be charitable. In ancient times, the reason was to carry out Adonai's will.

How: one must perform a ritual in which they say a prayer and/or make an offering to prove that they are worthy of assistance. The magician must also be humble and dedicated to Adonai.

Limits:

You have to get the ritual right if you do not have a bond with the entity.

The entity summoned has a will of its own and must be respected. It will not appear if it does not feel like showing up.

An entity has its own skills and tactics which must be taken into consideration. They may also grow tired if overexerted.

Offending an entity could lead to it telling its kin of your misdeeds…

Those of impure, degenerate, abhorrent moral fiber are completely incapable of summoning any entity, save for degenerate Earth spirits.

Goal: To dedicate oneself to and perform the will of Adonai, to educate and guide those who deserve it.

Nuances of Necromancy:

Some necromancers can summon up to two devils at a time, with some being able to combine their affinities. This is easier if the devils in question have a bond.

Devils may show up on their own if they have a strong bond with their magician.

Devils are distinctly stronger in irregular realms such as Inferno, The Unlight, and The Realm of Chaos. These realms do not abide by the laws of physics, allowing them to go all out.

Devils and Man can unleash great power when they come together, due to a joining of the corporeal and incorporeal. While not fully understood, it is seen as a union of opposites.

Some things to note:

King Solomon was not the first to perform Necromancy, but he was one of the most noteworthy. While not a perfect individual, he did help lay the groundwork for modern Necromancy.

Typically Devil's are summoned by Necromancers as they are easy to work with. Devil's are proto demons who are widely believed to be the first residents of Inferno.

Commonly Devil's, Demons, and Angels are invoked in rituals. Other entities such as Djinn, Fae, Fairies, Specters, and Astral Entities can also be invoked.

Many necromancers have to deal with the pop culture interpretation of necromancy, often being labeled as degenerates, satanists, and thugs. This has led to necromancers being relatively uncommon on Earth, with the majority keeping their magic a secret and sticking to realms such as Ertheval, Inferno, the Realm of Chaos, or The Unlight.

In regards to pop culture necromancy, it is not far off from actual necromancy in regards to the idea of communing with the “dead.” The only issue is that pop culture views necromancy as a force of evil, with its foul villains desecrating the dead to achieve its own nefarious ends. In reality, necromancy is the communion with spirits, beckoning higher powers for help. They are considered “dead” because they are incorporeal.

Alchemy:

Who: Anyone who is willing to seek enlightenment and understanding.

What: Alchemy is the refinement of Prima Materia to achieve a desired outcome.

Why: For those that are willing to learn and have the know-how, they are capable of manipulating reality through their own means. Understanding reality allows one to achieve enlightenment and wholeness.

How: By understanding hermetic and alchemical concepts, one can take Prima Materia and turn that into something they desire, such as Gold or a Philosopher's Stone (for the dedicated few).

Limits

Knowledge, discipline, and a sound mind is mandatory for this form of magic.

Additional mediums and material may be required for more complex transmutations.

Much like Chemistry, an experiment can backfire and/or yield dangerous results and byproducts.

Rituals and formulas must be strictly followed and adhered to to achieve a desired outcome.

Goal: To either create Gold or a Philosopher's Stone, with the purpose of achieving enlightenment and wholeness.

Nuances of Alchemy

There are different types of transmutations. Earth transmutations concern the corporeal, Water transmutations heal and recover, Wind transmutations affect the state of the corporeal, Fire transmutations bridge the gap between the corporeal and incorporeal, and Azoth transmutations focus solely on the incorporeal.

Alchemy is a very flexible form of magic, being able to be combined with most other forms of magic.

Philosopher’s Stones will only ever respond to their creator or those who have been granted permission by said creator. If lost, they will always find their way back to their creator. It is also considered bad luck to abandon a stone.

Some things to note:

Hermes Trismegistus is a lot older than he seems, going all the way back to the days of Atlantis (predating ancient Egypt). His team pioneered Alchemy and even achieved immortality. Hermes would go on to wander the Earth, spreading his knowledge throughout the eons.

Many aspiring Alchemists will have a dream in which Mercurius will show them what Prima Materia is.

All Alchemists learn the process to make a Philosopher's Stone. Most use the 7 step process. Many end up just making Alchemical Gold while a select few create a Philosopher's Stone.

In line with the previous point, Alchemical Gold is worthless outside of magic and occultism. Alchemists who create Gold are referred to as Yellow Alchemists while the ones who create a stone are referred to as Red Alchemists. Yellow Alchemists are way more common than Red Alchemists. That is not to say a Yellow Alchemist cannot become a Red Alchemist with enough time and effort, however.

Aura:

Who: Those who are capable of achieving balance, peace, and enlightenment in mind, body, and soul.

What: Aura is the manifestation of one's Soul and who they are.

Why: Man is capable of harnessing the power of the soul as a reaction to the universe around it.

How: By being one with the universe, the mage can understand how to react and go with the flow.

Limits:

Allowing too much Aura to manifest can damage the Body and Soul, leading to death.

Imbalance in mind, body, or Soul can prevent one from being able to focus. It can also lead to erratic results.

Aura is very difficult to learn and master.

Aura is nowhere near as versatile as its counterpart, Soul magic.

Goal: To achieve inner peace and balance so one's Soul is not shackled to the mortal coil, achieving enlightenment.

Ideal casters:

Those seeking balance, discipline, inner peace, or knowledge

Those capable of focusing and going with the flow

Nuances of Aura

Aura is a reaction, cast inwards. Its counterpart, soul magic, is an action, cast outwards. Aura is stronger, but lacks versatility. Soul is more versatile, but lacks strength.

Despite the lack of versatility, there are many ways to use aura. These can range from creation to destruction to refinement to deception to pure utility.

Types of aura training are referred to as schools and paths. Typically users of aura magic stick to one school/path, but some study multiple.

It is ideal for an aura-capable mage to lean into whatever other form of magic they know, as aura’s effectiveness is diminished by things like stress and emotional turmoil.

Some things to note:

Aura is very popular in central and east Asia. Concepts such as Chi and Prana have been associated with it. While aura has its own doctrines, it does draw from many eastern belief systems. It is even considered a companion to certain belief systems.

The founder is unclear, but many have attributed founder status to Buddha as the doctrines of aura magic are very similar to his teachings. Lao Tzu is also seen as a notable founder of aura magic, despite having different beliefs to Buddha. Signs of Hermes Trismegistus’ teachings have also been observed in certain schools of aura magic. Hermes Trismegistus seems to have met with Lao Tzu in the past, as some texts indicate their back and forth.

Aura magic draws a lot from alchemy in regards to "As above so below." It recognizes that we are all one with the universe and that one can harness that to enlighten themselves. Many of aura's doctrines can draw parallels to alchemical doctrines.

Aura mages and masters have to deal with an unbelievable amount of legitimate misinformation from new age beliefs. Often all of it comes from con artists and mentally unstable individuals who appropriate various beliefs, traditions, and customs from Asian cultures for the sake of making a quick buck. Necromancers share a similar plight, albeit it is often dismissed and hand waved due to a general disrespect for necromancy by society as a whole.

Void:

Who: it's unclear as there doesn't seem to be any defined rhyme or reason to who can use it.

What: Void channels the will of higher dimensional entities or even the void itself to bring events that could exist into reality.

Why: Unclear. Veritas and the Void are bizarre entities with many agents with their own goals.

How: Potential void-capable mages are approached by void entities who offer a deal with them. Others can be naturally in tune with the void. Some may also be taught by other void callers.

Limits:

Your spells are esoteric and can be hard to use.

You are at the whim of the entity who signed a deal with you, if you went down this route.

Void spells can be mentally taxing, especially if they bring forth incomprehensible things.

The void is unpredictable and you are never guaranteed to get the results you want.

Nuances of Void

Void-capable mages are known as “void callers.”

Most void callers have their own words that they rearrange into spells to cast their magic. This is known as “void speak.”

Void magic grimoires do exist and can potentially allow one to cast standard void spells. Reading these books is dangerous, however.

Typically rogue gods, demigods, and bizarre gods form pacts with void callers. Pacts with pure gods and Ar’ton are incredibly rare.

Whereas Aura has parallels to Alchemy, Void seems to draw from Necromancy.

Some things to note:

Veritas is the father (truth) who came together with the mother (void) to form reality, or at least that's how the story goes. Why he is throwing his hat into the ring is unclear. Many believe he is pushing things into a direction only he knows.

It should be noted that Veritas is an odd entity born in the outer void, and everything surrounding this entity is incredibly unclear. God is familiar with Veritas, but any insight he could pass on would be incomprehensible to lower dimensionals. And even the higher dimensionals do not fully get it themselves.

Void users are insanely rare to the point where Void is barely recognized as a form of magic on Earth. More often than not people say Aberrant magic is the sixth type of magic rather than Void.

The Madman of Old and Automaton of Old, despite using aberrant magic, have been spreading knowledge of void magic throughout the Cosmos. The Madman is 12D, allowing a pact to be formed with him. Those who are lucky can start out with him before moving onto a more fitting entity.

Soul magic:

Who: Anyone who is perceptive and open to the Heavens and knowledgeable with the arcane and occult.

What: Soul uses Pneuma itself as a medium to achieve a desired outcome.

Why: The Soul is capable of interacting with reality itself. It possesses an inherent, instinctual knowledge not known to everyday people.

How: The energy and wisdom of the soul is used to manipulate the forces of gravity to push and pull particles into the right position and/or situation. It can also perform alchemy-like transmutations using Pneuma.

Limits:

The caster only has so much energy before they need to recharge, much like when someone performs physical activities. Usually this is solved by resting and being properly fed. The body acts as a dynamo for the soul.

Due to most Souls being imperfect, interacting with reality is limited compared to higher dimensionals.

A degree of knowledge is required to cast magic. You need to know what you want, why you want it, and how it will benefit you. You also need to be aware of what you are casting (example: do not create fire in a cave, do not create a bomb that will go off immediately, etc).

Soul is nowhere near as powerful as its counterpart, Aura. It also lacks the refinement of Alchemy.

Nuances of Soul

Much like alchemy, soul is also fairly compatible with other forms of magic.

A lot of pyromancers are soul-capable mages.

Soul magic is an action, cast outwards. Its counterpart, Aura, is a reaction, cast inwards. Soul is more versatile, but lacks strength. Aura is stronger, but lacks versatility. While this has also led to Soul being viewed as inferior, it prompts a great deal of interest in its potential.

Soul can do the things alchemy, necromancy, and aura can do to a lesser degree. This potential has led to alchemists, necromancers, and aura masters learning new things about their respective magic.

Some things to note:

Soul magic is widely regarded as an inferior form of alchemy by alchemists, invented by new age "wizards" and "witches" in an attempt to make money off of magic by being able to perform flashy magic without the refinement, discipline, or practice of alchemy.

Despite its dubious origins, some mages have worked with this form of magic to see what it can do. Soul magic does have its place, it just needs to be refined and practiced. Under the right mages it can do truly fantastic work.

Pop culture fantasy magic draws a lot from this form of magic, to the chagrin of actual mages everywhere. It does not help that multiple books, movies, animations, video games, and tabletop games have gone with this perception of magic. This interpretation of magic is incredibly nebulous and angers mages to no end when average people ask them to mimic the things they see in their favorite fantasy series.

Despite the requirements for magic, Soul has the lowest barrier to entry and many are tricked into performing magic in service to charlatans and ne’er-do-wells.

Weave:

Who: Anyone who is open minded and welcomes the Weave into their life.

What: The Weave is a collective that acts as a medium for spell casting and allows anyone to use magic.

Why: at some point in a time incomprehensible, a strange entity came into existence with the goal of allowing as many as possible to cast magic.

How: Once you know the spells, the bonds you share with friends and family strengthens your spell casting ability.

Limits:

Your casting ability is tied to your bonds and mental state.

Despite being granted a medium, you still need to know what you are doing when casting.

You can still run out of energy casting Weave magic.

You can lose control if you do not have discipline with your magic or bonds.

Goal: To create a place for mages who have trouble performing magic, allowing them to do feats they have only dreamed of.

Nuances of Weave

Weave is seen as a lesser form of ULTRAMagic, leading to weave spells drawing from all forms of magic. It is also seen as the type of magic with the most potential.

Given that Weave is relatively new, it is incredibly rare to see someone with an aptitude for weave. Those who do may also have natural ULTRAMagic.

Weave is easy to learn, but difficult to master, given how encompassing it is.

Some things to note:

After seeing the mess that was Soul magic, the demon Bai’sin figured it was time to do something about it, but what? He was just a mere spider demon… Bai’sin was approached by a 7th dimensional alchemist by the name Ortrun Thorne, or Ortrun the Alchemist, a member of the Arbiters of Droom. She had been experimenting with a new type of magic and needed somewhere to field test it. Since Bai’sin wanted to shift Earth’s attention more towards alchemical and occult doctrines, this worked out perfectly.

Bai’sin was originally a spider devil who had become a demon, but never made it into the Goetia. He dabbled in the fields magician’s would be interested in regardless, becoming well versed in necromancy and alchemy. With a great deal of help from Ortrun, their knowledge allowed them to create a type of magic that could be used by anyone. Weave uses principles from both alchemy and necromancy, but is considered an offshoot of necromancy.

Bai’sin has to routinely defend himself from those who accuse the collective of being evil. Weave magic also gets labeled as "Satanic" on a frequent basis. Sometimes he wonders why he even bothers, but seeing people excitedly performing magic (when they normally could not have) strengthens his resolve.

The ULTRAMagic Entity is an enigmatic entity that seems to barely exist in the current phase of reality. Back during the Epoch of the Cosmos, he was a massive contributor to the ULTRAMagic Guild of its time. It is unclear why he did not properly reincarnate, or perhaps he did. Either way, Ortrun had gotten into contact with him and he passed on the idea of Weave magic on to her. It was an interesting idea that he wanted to see if it would actually work.

Aberrant:

Who: Those who have unique abilities that do not traditionally fit into the other 6 categories.

What: Aberrant is the unofficial 7th category of magic, used to describe those with unique abilities that do not traditionally fit into the other 6 categories.

Why: Given the unpredictability of life and reality, some have found a way to create unique forms of magic.

How: It depends on the ability and how it was gained.

Limits:

Limitations are solely dependent on the ability in question

Nuances of Aberrant

There are no specific nuances of aberrant as a whole, as they are unique and specific to the aberrant ability and the mage in question.

Some things to note:

One does not go out of their way to create an Aberrant ability. They are either given or come about naturally.

Aberrant breaks the rules for only knowing two types of magic. If someone already has an aptitude and a specialty that is not Aberrant, they can develop such an ability.

A third dimensional with an Aberrant ability as their aptitude is even rarer than people with Void as their aptitude. This also means that they can only have two magic types by default. Of course, this statistic may be skewed as some supernatural abilities that are not considered magic fall under the category of aberrant magic.

Magic for higher and metaphysical entities is usually always regarded as Aberrant magic.

Analysing Douma’s Blood Demon Art Based on Tibetan Buddhism

Frozen Cloud

Clouds are a very recurring element in tibetan buddhism with Karmapas. For those who missed my last post, the Karmapa is the bearer of the Black Crown(the hat Douma wears), hence he is sometimes known as the Black Crown Lama.

I always found it curious how Douma’s Frozen Clouds appear behind from him, surrounding him, instead of being shot with his fans. I then realized they’re not just an attack, they’re also a defense so if they surround Douma like this they can work as a shield because they keep demon slayers far away from him. But now I think this could have a symbolic aspect to it because in quite a lot Karmapa paintings, the Karmapas are surrounded by clouds, those generally behind him.

You can see a bit of similarity between this Douma panel and these Karmapa illustrations. Notice how in these Karmapa illustrations above the clouds are behind the Karmapas surrounding them like Douma’s Frozen Clouds. If Douma still had his Black Clown hat in this panel, the comparison would be perfect. The cloud is a common symbol in Tibetan Buddhism representing the creative power of the mind and the ability to take any form.

“In Tibetan Buddhism the symbol of the cloud is of such far-reaching importance, that a glance upon Tibetan Thankas (scrolls) or temple-frescoes would suffice to convince the beholder. The figures of Buddhas, Bodhisattvas (enlightened beings), saints, gods and genii manifest themselves from cloud-formations which surround their haloes. The cloud represents the creative power of the mind, which can assume any imaginable form. The white cloud especially (or even a cloud shining in delicate rainbowcolours) is regarded as the ideal medium of creation for the enlightened or enraptured mind, which manifests itself on the plane of meditative vision as sambhogakāya, the mind-created 'body of delight'.”

“Even the earlier Sanskrit-Buddhism speaks of the 'Cloud of Truth' or the 'Cloud of the Universal Law' (dharma-megha), from which descends the rain of bliss and liberating knowledge upon a world burning with passions.”

“Thus the 'White Cloud' becomes the symbol of the Guru's wisdom and compassion, and therefore 'the Way of the White Clouds' hints at the same time at the way of spiritual unfoldment, the way of a pilgrimage that leads to the realisation of final completeness.”

Based on all this, a cloud can be used to describe Douma’s nature. As Kanao pointed out, he’s able to change the form of his face to match any social situation just like a cloud can take any form. So in this case the “Cloud of Lies” because he prefers to spread lies rather than spread knowledge.

Unsui is a term specific to Zen Buddhism which literally translates as "cloud, water" comes from a Chinese poem which reads, "To drift like clouds and flow like water." Helen J. Baroni writes, "The term can be applied more broadly for any practitioner of Zen, since followers of Zen attempt to move freely through life, without the constraints and limitations of attachment, like free-floating clouds or flowing water."

Attachment: A deluded Mental factor or Perception that observes a person or object and regards it as a cause or source of Happiness, and wishes for it. A deluded mental factor that observes a contaminated object, regards it as a cause of happiness, and wishes for it.

“He was sometimes consulted by his believers, and seeing them crumble under the weight of their desires, be it for money, status or love, seemed to be too foolish for him, but he felt curious what the feeling was like. He had money, status, and an almost-immortal body, but he didn't feel anything special, so he switched partners every now and then to try to play the childish game of love.”

Another comparison can be made between Douma and a cloud based on the term unsui. Accordind to the kny 2nd fanbook, Douma thought it was stupid of his followers to crumble over money, status or love. He even had money and status, but didn’t feel anything about it and never felt love until death as he said it himself when he told Shinobu he fell in love for the first time with her when he was dead. That’s also why he couldn’t regenerate his head like Akaza and Muzan, because he had no desires and attachments to his past life and current life like them. While he was alive he had no material attachments nor emotional attachments.

He moved freely through life, without the constraints and limitations, like free-floating clouds. He thought Gods, Buddhas, Heaven and Hell, and divine punishment were just constrainsts and limitations invented by humans to keep evil people from drinking the “sweet nectar” and so that mentally weak people would be able to live with themselves.

White Blizzard Princesses

Of the 21 Taras, the two most popular are Green Tara and White Tara. Tara’s name in Tibetan is Dolma, and you can see then that White Tara’s Tibetan name, Dolkar, is a short form of Dolma Karpo, which means White Dolma. Tibetans pray to White Tara especially for health, healing and longevity/long life. She offers healing to our wounds, whether it is our bodies or our minds that have been hurt.

As White Tārā she expresses maternal compassion and offers healing to beings who are hurt or wounded, either mentally or psychically. White Tara embodies compassion, purity, grace, serenity and the love of a mother for her child. White Tara is often referred to as the "Mother of all the Buddhas". Tara is very close to sentient beings, like a mother to her children.

Her pure compassion for our suffering which is thought to be greater even than a mothers love for her child is symbolized in images of White Tara by her white color. White Tara has 7 eyes — with an eye in her forehead, and one on each hand and foot — symbolizing her compassionate vigilance to see all the suffering of the world.

She is very quick to fulfill our wishes and to grant us happiness and a long life, as well as to help us develop wisdom. Tara is seen as the very embodiment of this wind—resulting in her ability to fulfill our wishes and prayers swiftly. It is said that living beings receive Tara’s blessings as swiftly as the wind moves because she is the manifestation of the wind element of all Buddhas.

“Within Tibetan Buddhism Tārā is regarded as a Buddha of compassion and action. She is the female aspect of Avalokitesvara and in some origin stories she comes from his tears that were shed in pity as he observed the vast suffering in the world.

Tārā originated not in Buddhism but in Hinduism, where she was seen as a Mother Goddess. Known as a manifestation of Kali, the queen of time, Tārā was seen as the unquenchable hunger that propels all life. Hindu oral tradition states that Tārā first appeared during the Hindu creation myth of the churning of the ocean. In this legend, Shiva has drunk the poison that was created from the churning of the ocean, thus saving the world from destruction, but has fallen unconscious under its powerful effect. Tārā appears and takes Shiva on her lap. She suckles him, the milk from her breasts counteracting the poison, and he recovers. This myth is reminiscent of the myth in which Shiva stops the rampaging Kali by becoming an infant. Seeing the child, Kali's maternal instinct comes to the forefront and she becomes quiet and nurses the infant Shiva. In both cases, Shiva assumes the position of an infant vis-à-vis the goddess.”

Tara was at one time a human princess who dedicated her life to love and protection of all. She is an example of the soul's aspiration to develop qualities of love, compassion, wisdom and joy. White Tara is sometimes called the Mother of all Buddhas and she represents the motherly aspect of compassion. Her white color signifies purity, wisdom and truth.

The White Tara was incarnated later as the chinese Princess Wencheng. I initially thought Douma’s White Blizzard Princesses’ head necklace with a pendant on the forehead was supposed to a reference to White Tara’s third eye on the forehead. But then I learned that it’s widely known that White Tara incarnated as Princess Wencheng and looking at her pictures, she’s always depicted wearing a head necklace or some sort of head jewelery.

Update: Another possible inspiration behind Douma's White Blizzard Princesses.

Mandarava was, along with Yeshe Tsogyal, one of the two principal consorts of great 8th century Indian Vajrayana teacher Padmasambhava (Guru Rinpoche), a founder-figure of Tibetan Buddhism, described as a 'second Most Important Female Buddha' by many practitioners. Mandarava is considered to be a female guru-deity in Tantric Buddhism or Vajrayana.

There are a number of conflicting stories about the birthplace of Mandarava. According to some legends, she was born a princess in Zahor, Bengal in eastern India, while other sources, and some contemporary lore place this in Sahor, in Oddiyana (the Swat valley) of northern Pakistan, or near the city of Mandi in Himachal Pradesh, India.

According to legend, she renounced her royal birthright at an early age in order to practice the Dharma. Mandarava is known as being highly educated at a very young age, a rare accomplishment for a woman at that time. There is a distinction. She was the primary student of Guru Rinpoche’s Most Beloved Yeshe. Mandarava's devotion led her to bring at least 800 women, including her entire personal retinue, to the path of the Dharma, all before meeting her teacher, Padmasambhava.

Mandarava attained full enlightenment alongside Padmasambhava in the famed Maratika Cave in Nepal. She was a fully realized spiritual adept, a yogini, and a spiritual teacher. Chapter 16 of the Lotus Sutra mentions, "Mandarava blossoms rain down, scattering over the Buddha and the great assembly. This has been verified by numerous sources."

The iconography of Mandarava in her sambhogakaya form often depicts her with white skin with a tinge of red and wearing regal bodhisattva ornamentation. In this form, in her right hand she often holds the dadar (or arrow) a teaching tool and ritual implement which is a powerful polyvalent symbol of Dzogchen, disciplic succession, lineage and transmission. Sometimes she’s depicted with a third a eye on the forehead. I actually thought she was White Tara for a second, they look identical.

Too often the White Tara is paired with the Green Tara as a pair, so I was wondering, why does Douma summons “two White Taras”? Why not one White Tara and one Green Tara? The Green Tara also incarnated as a princess(nepali Princess Bhrikuti Devi). For a while I actually just dismissed it as “ice is white/transparent”.

Green Tara is shown seated with one leg on the ground, ready to come to our defense while White Tara is seated in the more meditative diamond lotus position, with both legs folded under her, and her feet facing skyward. Green Tara is seated on a half-open lotus while While Tara is seated on a full-blown lotus. Green Tara doesn’t have a third eye on the forehead.

I was really confused as to why Douma didn’t manifest one Green Tara, then I looked more into her and found my answer. She protects people from disturbing emotions like anxiety, stress and especially fear. Green Tara also embodies activity.

Now allow me to copy and paste a whole page of Without Conscience, a book by Dr. Robert Hare. You can skip this part if you want. This is the most recommended book if you want to learn in depth about psychopaths. Robert Hare is probably the main authority when it comes to psychopaths. Robert D. Hare is a Canadian forensic psychologist, known for his research in the field of criminal psychology. He developed the Hare Psychopathy Checklist (PCL-Revised), used by psychiatrists and psychologists around the world to assess cases of psychopathy. He advises the FBI's Child Abduction and Serial Murder Investigative Resources Center (CASMIRC). This man is huge deal.

“The apparent lack of normal affect and emotional depth led psychologists J. H. Johns and H. C. Quay to say that the psychopath "knows the words but not the music."14 For example, in a rambling book about hate, violence, and rationalizations for his behavior, Jack Abbott made this revealing comment: "There are emotions--a whole spectrum of them-that I know only through words, through reading and in my immature imagination. I can imagine I feel these emotions (know, therefore, what they are), but I do not. At age thirty-seven I am barely a precocious child. My passions are those of a boy."

Many clinicians have commented that the emotions of psychopaths are so shallow as to be little more than proto-emotions: primitive responses to immediate needs. (I'll discuss the most recent research findings on this topic in later chapters.) For example, one of our psychopathic subjects, a twenty-eight-yearold "enforcer" for a loan shark, had this to say about his job: "Say I have to heavy someone who won't pay up. First I make myself angry." When asked if this anger was different from the way he feels when someone insults him or tries to take advantage of him, he replied, "No. It's all the same. It's programmed, all worked out. I could get angry right now. It's easy to tum on and off."

Another psychopath in our research said that he did not really understand what others meant by "fear." However, "When I rob a bank," he said, "I notice that the teller shakes or becomes tongue-tied. One barfed all over the money. She must have been pretty messed up inside, but I don't know why. If someone pointed a gun at me I guess I'd be afraid, but I wouldn't throw up." When asked to describe how he would feel in such a situation, his reply contained no reference to bodily sensations. He said things such as, "I'd give you the money"; "I'd think of ways to get the drop on you"; "I'd try and get my ass out of there." When asked how he would feel, not what he would think or do, he seemed perplexed. Asked if he ever felt his heart pound or his stomach chum, he replied, "Of course! I'm not a robot. I really get pumped up when I have sex or when I get into a fight."

Laboratory experiments using biomedical recorders have shown that psychopaths lack the physiological responses normally associated with fear. 1 6 The significance of this finding is that, for most people, the fear produced by threats of pain or punishment is an unpleasant emotion and a powerful motivator of behavior. Fear keeps us from doing some things-"Do it and you'll be sorry" -but it also makes us do other things-"Do it or you'll be sorry." In each case, it is emotional awareness of the consequences that impels us to take a particular course of action. Not so with psychopaths; they merrily plunge on, perhaps knowing what might happen but not really caring.

For most of us, fear and apprehension are associated with a variety of unpleasant bodily sensations, such as sweating of the hands, a "pounding" heart, dry mouth, muscle tenseness or weakness, trembles, and "butterflies" in the stomach. Indeed, we often describe fear in terms of the bodily sensations that accompany them: "I was so terrified my heart leapt into my throat"; "I tried to speak but my mouth went dry"; and so forth.

These bodily sensations do not form part of what psychopaths experience as fear. For them, fear-like most other emotionsis incomplete, shallow, largely cognitive in nature, and without the physiological turmoil or "coloring" that most of us find distinctly unpleasant and wish to avoid or reduce.

Psychopaths have little aptitude for experiencing the emotional responses-fear and anxiety-that are the mainsprings of conscience.

In effect, the elements needed for the development of psychopathy-including a profound inability to experience empathy and the complete range of emotions, including fear-are provided in part by nature and possibly by some unknown biological influences on the developing fetus and neonate.

Clinicians often describe psychopaths as individuals whose powerful psychological defense mechanisms effectively squelch anxiety and fear. Laboratory research supports this view and suggests that there may be a biological basis to their ability to cope with stress. This may sound as if psychopaths are to be envied. However, the downside is that the boundary between fearless and foolhardy is fuzzy: Psychopaths are always getting into trouble, in large part because their behavior is not motivated by anxiety or guided by cues that warn of danger. Like individuals who wear dark sunglasses indoors, they look "cool" but they miss much of what goes on around them.

"His social status notwithstanding, he is truly one of the most dangerous sociopaths I have ever seen," said the Superior Court Judge after sentencing respected 37-year-old San Jose attorney Norman Russell Sjonborg for the brutal slaying of one of his clients from whom he had embezzled money. His third wife, Terry, who initially had provided him with an alibi for the crime, said that when she first met him, "He seemed like a nice guy, soft-spoken and exceedingly charming." But she also noted, "From the start Russell spoke about this emotional void, an inabil ity to feel things like everyone else; to know when to cry, when to feel joy." Terry also commented that he "led a kind of paint-by-numbers emotional life," and that "he read selfhelp psychology books to learn the appropriate emotional responses to everyday events."

Although psychopathy is not primarily the result of poor parenting or adverse childhood experiences, I think they play an important role in shaping what nature has provided. Social factors and parenting practices influence the way the disorder develops and is expressed in behavior. Thus, an individual with a mix of psychopathic personality traits who grows up in a stable family and has access to positive social and educational resources might become a con artist or white-collar criminal, or perhaps a somewhat shady entrepreneur, politician, or professional. Another individual, with much the same personality traits but from a deprived and disturbed background, might become a drifter, mercenary, or violent criminal.”

Ok, back to the main topic.

If Douma ever felt any emotion while he was alive at all, he definitely never felt fear. During the tense Upper Moon Meeting, everyone except him were dead quiet listening to Muzan’s complaints while he was interrupting him, offering himself to be punished and his eyeballs. Not even when his whole body was melting including his bones from Shinobu’s poison he was scared nor even when his head was cut and he was desintegrating.

As for activity, Douma doesn’t seem to take much action himself. During his fights with Shinobu, Kanao and Inosuke, he seems to be mostly playing around. He only take serious action when he starts melting from Shinobu’s poison. Even as a child he never took action himself, he always listened to his parents to act like a good cult leader, no matter how stupid it sounded to him, and he kept this act going even as a demon. And even though he rose through the ranks of the Twelve Upper Moons, he probably done that because Muzan told him to when he turned him into a demon. Also, the kny 2nd fanbook ironically informs he has money and status, but suggests that he has no ambition because he thought it was stupid of his followers to crumble over money and status.

The Green Tara’s left hand is in the gesture of granting refuge from every danger (abhaya mudra). This is perhaps Tara’s most well-known function. She protects from all fears, miseries, calamities, and disasters, including disease and illness, old age, death, attacks by wild beasts, harm from fire, floods, earthquakes, criminals, corrupt officials, poison snakes, and magic spells. It is often for this protective function that Tara is widely worshipped and propitiated.

Pacifying illnesses, epidemics, diseases, she scatters all the demons and bestows blessings, protection for all beings. Praying to Green Tara will bless you with success, protect from evil, heal illness, and bless your children.

The practice of Green Tara is helpful to dispel the suffering and emotional turbulence of these times. Green Tara promised always to appear in the form of a female bodhisattva and goddess for the benefit of all beings and especially to protect them from the eight fears. These eight fears are further classified as internal and external depending on their source of origin and are as follows: Internal External fear of fire (anger) fear of imprisonment (avarice) fear of lions (pride) fear of floods (attachment) fear of elephants (ignorance) fear of demons (doubt) fear of snakes (envy) fear of robbers (wrong views)

The First Dalai Lama’s Teachings on Tara

The first Dalai Lama wrote that we can call on her to instantly save us from eight particular dangers, each of which represents a corresponding human mental problem:

lions — pride

wild elephants — delusion and ignorance

forest fires — hatred

snakes — jealousy

robbers — wrong views, including fanatical views

prisons — greed and miserliness

floods — desire and attachment

demons — doubts caused by delusion

Ordinary Tibetans pray to her when we are sick, when leaving for a long journey, or when we hope for success or wealth. His Holiness’ teaching shows us that this is not actually the true purpose of praying to or reciting mantras to Tara.

When we chant the Green Tara mantra, we are not simply asking for Tara’s blessings and help with our lives and our “real world” problems.

Actually, we are also asking to be liberated from the misery of the mental delusions and negative emotions that blind us to true freedom, and to achieve the same enlightened body, speech and mind that Tara represents, not only for our own benefit, but for the benefit of all sentient beings.

The Eight Taras to the sides of the main Tara image depict the eight types of fears or dangers that may potentially endanger or derail the spiritual path of a practitioner. The basis of these fears come from a particular Sutra called “The Sutra of Tara Who Protects from the Eight Fears” which, in Sanskrit, is known as the “Tara Sṭaghoratarani Sutra”.

The Eight Fears contain both an inner and outer meaning:

Tara who saves from water or drowning represents desirous attachment.

Tara who saves from thieves represents false views.

Tara who saves from hungry lions represents pride.

Tara who saves from venomous snakes or serpents represents jealousy.

Tara who saves from fire represents anger.

Tara who saves from spirits or flesh-eating demons represents doubt.

Tara who saves from captivity or imprisonment represents greed.

Tara who saves from elephants represents ignorance.

Through the practice of worshipping Tara, we are able to purify the karma of receiving harm from these eight fears and their associated inner delusions. Thus, Tara is able to liberate us from all fear.

Meaning of the Green Tara Mantra

A 1987 teaching by Lama Zopa Rinpoche really opens up to us the profound meaning and benefits of practicing Tara’s powerful mantra. 3

Lama Zopa walks us through the mantra in a long discussion on Tara, which we have excerpted and shortened below:

In short, om tare tuttare ture soha means “I prostrate to the Liberator, Mother of all the Victorious Ones.”

The Tara mantra is om tare tuttare ture soha. To explain the meaning of tare tuttare ture: tare means liberating from Samsara.

Tare shows that Mother Tara liberates living beings from Samsara(reincarnation/cycle of death and rebirth/karmic cycle), from true suffering, or problems. You can relate this to the particular sufferings of human beings: birth, old age, sickness and death; meeting undesirable objects and experiencing aversion; not finding desirable objects or finding them but gaining no satisfaction… All these are the problems of true suffering. If you rely upon Tara by taking refuge in her and doing Tara practices—such as the recitation of mantra or praises — with tare, Tara liberates you from all these true sufferings.

The second word, tuttare, liberates you from the eight fears. There are eight fears related to external dangers from fire, water, air, earth, and also from such things as thieves and dangerous animals. However, the main dangers come from ignorance, attachment, anger, pride, jealousy, miserliness, doubt and wrong views. These eight disturbing thoughts that you have in your mind are the main dangers… This second word, tuttare, which liberates you from the eight fears, frees you from the true cause of suffering: karma and the all-arising disturbing thoughts.

The third word, ture, liberates you from disease. Now, of the Four Noble Truths, ture shows the cessation of suffering, which is the ultimate Dharma. In terms of liberating from disease, the actual disease we have is ignorance not knowing the absolute nature of the I, and all the disturbing thoughts that arise from this ignorance… By liberating us from disease, ture actually liberates us from the true cause, disturbing thoughts, and also the true sufferings.

I think it’s very clear now why Douma doesn’t summon the Green Tara. Douma is a demon so he doesn’t need to worry about illness, he only needed to worry about Shinobu’s poison. Douma is immortal so he doesn’t need to worry about old age and death. Douma doesn’t believe in Heaven and Hell so he most likely doesn’t believe in Sansara(reincarnation). As the yny 2nd fanbook makes it clear, Douma doesn’t care about success and wealth. Green Tara is “Mother of The Victorious Ones”, Douma doesn’t seem to care about winning like Akaza, he even adviced him to eat lots of women because it would make him stronger. Also, Douma might’ve won many battles, but ultimately he lost the war.

I’m pretty sure fires, lions, elephants, floods and snakes aren’t effective against demons, especially Douma. I feel really bad for the robber who tries to rob Douma. Douma is the flesh-eating demon so people around him need to be protected from him by Green Tara.

The closest Douma showed of genuine emotion was his somewhat upset/displeased face when Kanao pointed out he doesn’t feel emotions like happiness, enjoyment, anger, sadness, pain, bitterness. He also seemed disappointed when his head was cut and he was dying, but he wasn’t afraid of dying nor annoyed that he lost. That makes me think that he wants to experience the complete range of emotions, like anger and fear, not just “positive emotions” so why would he want to be protected from something he wants to have? Or why would he need to be protected from something he doesn’t have?

Douma might be a glutton, but he isn’t a stingy or greedy person, on the contrary, he seems to pride himself in being a very generous person. Like I said way earlier, Douma had no material attachments nor emotional attachments while was alive. That’s why he wasn’t able to regenerate his head like Akaza who was determined to become stronger. He’s ignorant about the existence of Heaven and Hell, but he definitely doesn’t think he is and he doesn’t know it. Instead, he always thought his parents and his followers are the ignorant and stupid ones for believing in Heaven and Hell.

Even as a child he’s never showed any doubts, he’s always been very assertive and firm in his views that Heaven and Hell is just a fairytale created by humans and eveyone who thinks differently is stupid and that he was saving his followers and making them happy by eating them until the the end. Douma never showed envy for anybody in any moment, he actually thought Akaza was jealous of him for “reaching success” earlier than him despide becoming a demon way after he did. But he seemed frustrated when Kanao pointed out that he couldn’t feel anything so he has to pretend to feel emotions so he won’t reveal his empty heart and that he was nothing but an empty shell so maybe deep down he might be jealous of people who feel real emotions. He wouldn’t admit it though.

Douma is infamous for his very wrong view that eating people will save them and will make them live forever happy inside him, when in reality he didn’t care about his followers and was just taking advantage of the emotionally vulnerable and killing innocent people and using them as food. His other wrong views include thinking that Heaven and Hell are fairytale created by humans and everyone who believes in it are stupid and that Shinobu was foolish and her attempts to take him down were useless. But despite all that, he certainly never once thought his view were wrong or that he was deluded or misguided until his death. In short, he absolutely no use for Green Tara. I think Douma summoning two White Taras instead of the standard one White Tara and one Green Tara serves to emphasize his emotionless nature.

In terms of Sant Mat history, there has never been a time during the last several centuries when there was “only one” Sant Satguru operating in the world. The reality is there have been multiple lineages of spiritual masters contemporary with one another since at least the time of Kabir and Guru Nanak in the 14th century. Both Guru Kabir and Guru Nanak were founding gurus who appointed successors. These are guru lineages now spanning many generations. Ten Bhumis of the Bodhisattvas

Question: Ven. Khenpo Tsewang Rinpoche, can you please describe the ten bhumis of the bodhisattvas?

Answer: First, I will list the names of the ten bhumis.

1. Extremely Joyful (rabtu dga’ba)

2. Stainless (drima medpa)

3. Luminous (’odbyed)

4. Blazing Light (’od ’phroba)

5. Challenged to Purify (sbyang dka’ba)

6. Actualizing (mngondu byedpa)

7. Going Far (ringdu songba)

8. Unshakable (mig yo ba)

9. Perfect Intelligence (legspa’i blogros)

10. Dharma Cloud (choskyi sprinpa)

Master Chandrakirti and many other teachers connected these ten with a teaching given by the Buddha known as the Ten Bhumi Sutra (Skt. Dasabhumikasutra). In this text, the ten bhumis are linked to the paramitas. You are already familiar with the sixth paramita of wisdom, or prajnaparamita. This wisdom paramita can be further divided four ways to make a total of ten paramitas. The seventh is called the paramita of skillful means, upaya). The eighth is the paramita of power (Tibetian: bala). The ninth paramita is wishes, or aspirations (Tibetian,Mon Lam: Sanscrit, Pranidhana). The tenth is the paramita of primordial wisdom (yeshes . jnana).

The first bhumi, Extremely Joyful, intensifies the quality of the first paramita, generosity. This doesn’t mean that the other paramitas are not there.... During the onset of the first bhumi, transcendental generosity practices are especially wonderful, freely shining and vibrating with bodhichitta. On the second bhumi, Stainless, transcendental morality ripens. This is followed by transcendental patience on the third bhumi, and continues like that to the tenth bhumi, Dharma Cloud. At this level, primordial wisdom is radiant and brilliant. This is the relation of the ten paramitas to the ten bhumis.

… When you enter the third path, which is the Path of Seeing. Seeing means you see directly what you’re meditating on. Until now, our meditation and understanding has been somewhat conceptual and theoretical. On the Path of Application, one has an increasingly clear intellectual understanding, but still relies on a conceptual element. On the Path of Seeing you now see things as they are, completely and directly. The Path of Seeing is also the first of the ten bhumi bodhisattva levels. On the first bhumi, you see the true nature exactly as it is.

This is followed by the fourth path, known as the Path of Meditation. Upon entering the Path of Meditation, you are on the second bhumi. The Path of Meditation is divided into nine levels, classified into three main groups of small, medium, and big, each of which is subdivided into small, medium, and big levels that represent the nine degrees of obscurations of knowledge that still remain. From the biggest of the big, to the smallest of the small, these also correspond to the remaining nine bhumis, from the second to the tenth. After the tenth bhumi, you enter the fifth Path of No More Learning. This is enlightenment, the culmination of the Five Paths and the realization of buddhahood.

The historic statues and idols of Gods and Goddesses were self-portraits of the reverent human qualities they saw echoed in the heavens. The 12 zodiacs each personifying a force they deemed to be worshipped. Our lives have changed dramatically since human beings were viewed in this light, but we are still performing these divine acts that we once deemed as deities in one another

Aries: In Aries they saw The Heroine with the Spiritual Fire burning within her mind. The manifestation of Divine Will, the ones familiar with supreme power and wisdom, willing to risk everything. They saw the Great Imaginer who directly received visions from beyond, and they saw a feminine erotica and rage that could burst things into flames. They saw the Voyager and the clever strategist who seemed to be directly in tune with the will of God leading them into new lands, battles, and seas. Aries was the one capable of leading their nation, the one who mediated and counselled the masculine and the feminine. They were the ones with the Spirit of Spring that reanimated life and demonstrated the possibility of life after death.

Taurus: In Taurus they saw the ones who the choir of angels used as an instrument. They saw the Empress of Nirvana, the ones who wrote the cosmic tune. The ones who flowing in the rhythm of nature, performing sorcery playing with the colours, minerals and materials of earth, personifying the image of Divine Beauty. They saw the carries of the Womb of Consciousness in the cerebellum in which Taurus rules, and conveys the Divine Feminine Language. In this, they saw the very Cosmogonic Principle itself, the clairaudient personification of The Ancestral Mother of All Life, unconditionally providing the agriculture that sustains life like only a parent could.

Gemini: In Gemini they saw the inventor of words and thus The Magician, Enchanted Writer, the Storytelling Sage, The Teacher mediating between Heaven and Earth who could cast spells with the symbols of alpha within the consciousness of others, the one whose mind was so illuminated it was like a golden helmet. They saw the playfully Eternal Divine Child whose mercurial wand bought much joy to all cosmic beings. They saw the ones who were light footed astral beings, capable of sending their heavenly messages through any medium as The Psychopomps, the Cosmic Mind with resolved duality. They saw the patrons who bought the wisdom of the heavens to earth and the dispensers of astrology, alchemy, and the Word of God

Cancer: In Cancer they saw the Mystic Midwife and Mother Goddess who helped bring life into the world and also soothe the pain of labour. They saw the anointed being that had no earthly source, whose origin could not be traced. They saw the Guardian of the Lunar Rays who communicated with the Moon, spirit guides, passed ancestors, the creators and maintainers of kairos or spirit’s time, and the witches who conducted the forces of nature to practice ritual, divination, pharmacy, with inherited prophecy and ability to move the seas with the tides, protected by an army of crossed souls who guarded them. They saw the personification of Matriarchal Consciousness, who carried the Cosmic Womb, the umbilical cord into dreamtime and the feminine soul, the ones capable of delivering prophecies from dream and fantasy

Leo: In Leo they saw the Heroine and the Princess of Light who won the battle for the sun, the Angel of Abyss who was plunged into the darkness to provide life. The one with the highest willpower possible to slay the demon in a nightly ceremony, the one who placed the Sun in its zenith. The early morning amber glow was their declaration that Leo war has been won and the day is for worshiping their Sun within They saw the pure essence of God suffer inside human flesh to provide the evolutionary earth experience. In Leo they saw the Lion, the King of the Jungle roaming and commanding in their gracious sovereignty, glorifying God and His Rule in every movement. They saw the Children of the Fire that ignited the pure Divine Spirit. They saw the ones carried by heavenly carriages, glorifying the possibilities of the universe

Virgo: In Virgo they saw the Queen of Heaven carrying the womb of cosmic space that holds the Divine Mother’s intelligence. They saw the illumination of wisdom, the instrument of cosmic creation - The Sole Creator, the ones who disappear into the darkness to wield the sole Divine inner love that makes spiritual enlightenment possible. They saw the transformer of sexual energy into creative spirit, the Inner Mary. They saw the Invisible Mind, The Word of Sophia, the word of the Goddess and sacred, ancient, secret symbols made flesh. They saw the Sainted Healer with the Mother’s knowledge of her mineral earth, the one who activated curing properties as nature passes through her hands.

Libra: In Libra they saw the Priestess soaked in the love of God, the divine’s highest artistry of God in its most idyllic and material form, a personification of the Feminine Principle and moving performance of artistry and right sided creativity, sensitivity, and inclusivity. They saw the ones who had the knowledge of cosmic karma and naturally dispersed this in daily affairs, in doing so maintaining the balance of universal order, the ones who ordered the seasons and nature and maintained astrology. They saw the ones with the mind residing the Library of Feminine Teachings, the captivating ones capable of bewitching all in presence, the personification of the angel, the one on the Threshold between Universal and Personal Self, The Enchanted Mirror that cosmic forces flow and mix into experimenting with the possibility of beauty

Scorpio: In Scorpio they saw the creative visionary who glorified God in solitary hiding, the one who had manifested the power of the Magical Serpent. They saw someone who seemed to have access to knowledge and wisdom from unseen worlds and beings, the ones who accessed the door into the underworld, and possessed such glorious inner wealth it could only be remarked as treasure. This is why they were hidden away, they seemed to be special, and Progenies of Internal counsel from Higher Beings. They were the ones who carried the knowledge of other realms, had the ability to read and interpret historic symbols, life after death, and the secret knowledge of immortality. The were ones sought out for their wisdom, their guidance, their experiences - especially for those in the process of death, considered Spirit Midwifes, Pharmacists, Sorcerers, or Healers.

Sagittarius: In Sagittarius they recognised a vast spectrum of light and supreme cosmic vitality. They saw the personification of wisdom and the Teacher who voyaged through many lands to declare the word. They saw the grandest gesture of the universe in one apparition, one worthy of superior worship for their transcendence, knowledge and implementation of spiritual law, and being cloaked in the sacred purple garments. It is for this reason they channeled and called upon the Sagittarius energy during meditation They saw the Guru and Master of Philosophy who had died and risen again, the ones who carried the akashic record that wrote and conserved the law of higher mind mythology and practices. They saw the powerful beings capable of wielding lightning, and one who received many blessings resulting from good past life karma.

Capricorn: In Capricorn they saw the ones who seemed to create, own, and control time. They saw the ones whose leadership bought the Golden Age, they saw the Chosen Ones with the wisdom and divinity to lead the young initiates. They saw ones with a Higher Purpose that demonstrated the ultimate glory of human, and they saw the Alchemist who transmuted lead into gold. They saw the Higher Being who rose after being summoned by the Prince of Darkness and rode on the rays of this rising sun to ascend up the mountain, the one who built the great cities in heaven down on earth, the ones who played the cosmic flute and harmonised the planetary orbit spheres. They saw the Crone, the Elder who had lived many lives, the ancient Priestess who visited towns to perform healing acts and enlightenment with the Teachings of all Ages

Aquarius: In Aquarius they saw a gift to humanity from heaven, the ones that seemed to drink from the enchanted fountain of youth with an energy for life that seemed almost otherworldly. They saw the ones that bore water above their illuminated minds and seemed to heal the unwell and elderly, young beings with old souls. In Aquarius they saw the Child of Mother Earth who frolicked amongst the flowers and bought the rain clouds. They wondered if Aquarians had wings, because they seemed to teleport and bring back ideas from other realms, holding the nectar that cleansed, ascended, and illuminated their followers. They saw the Awakeners, the ones with the caduceus spine, the ones who had the indwelling knowledge of secret cosmic realms, the ones who materialised angelic ideas

Pisces: In Pisces they saw the effeminate Divine Child who was mystical, a descendent of Atlantis, and had a life and afterlife with a special destiny who was a conduit of special and higher teachings from secret places and beings. They saw the energy that flowed through their bodies and evoked every sensory experience through dance and art as the great cosmic muse. They saw the Wanderer through temples, intoxicants, and invisible realms to find the path home, they saw the whole Spiritual Sea in a single drop, the Holy one capable of salvation. They saw the Healer, the Nurse who sourced the magic of nature, faith, and indwelling forces to cure. They worshiped Pisces as The Priestess who existed simultaneously in both worlds, the ones who carried the memories of heaven and stories of collective past lives along their feet.

Does my medication (mental disorders) make it difficult for me to communicate with my spirit guides and/or supernatural? If it helps I'm on mood stabilizers and medication for panic attacks (benzos)..

<3 So the limitations of the physical mind are pretty huge. We can make the spiritual world out to be something that it isn’t... Like, you detect spirits, right? But it is not going to be in the same way when your brain feels better and you don’t have those limitations anymore. Like with a friend I had, he had schizophrenia, so a lot of the things he thought and said were just plain not correct, but that is because of his limitations. But, let me tell you one thing, he was one of the most psychic people I have ever met. And here is why: Because he had schizophrenia and believed so strongly, his spiritual connection was in tact but it was not being transferred right in his sick brain. So he would think, a guru named Mayer Baba was talking to him, though he was very severe and on 40 medications, and I don’t believe it was Mayer Baba...like, schizophrenia is very real and the limitations of the mind can cloud what is truly there. So basically, he would come into my room (I was at a mental health house thing) and he would tell me something extremely personal at the exact right time that nobody could ever know, and he always said “God wanted me to tell you” or something, but he was a sensitive. IF he did not hear or see anything anymore, he would still be a medium, but WITHOUT the limitations of schizophrenia, which is what he THOUGHT was spiritual when it wasn’t, he might feel confused and like his spirituality has been taken away from him. No, the limitations are just gone. You have to find the true nature of spirituality when the limitations leave... and that is kind of scary, but I have done it... You are for sure a very sensitive person, and anxiety can heighten our senses, but that is not the way to turn on spirituality because, well, anxiety sucks. It is not gone! Do not stop taking the meds that get rid of limitations. I hope this helps<3
