Honestly, every time I see someone insist they need AI for writing, be it for getting an idea or drafting their piece or even basic grammar my instinct is to say:
"Just... GET GOOD."
Like, have no ideas? Then read more books in ALL sorts of genres, styles, and authors. Even read different age groups (if you only read YA but are over the age of 20, I promise you there is plenty of Adult out there you will love. Find it. You deserve it.) Do the same for movies, shows, and plays. Go to festivals and exhibitions and concerts. Dabble in different hobbies to observe and talk to people, all sorts of people. EXPERIENCE LIFE, that's how you'll be inspired to write about it. Know the world and how you feel in it beyond what the internet tells you to. (Also, you'll find out that your "brilliantly unique concept" has likely been done before and that your personal life experience will be the thing that makes it genuinely unique.)
Think your writing is bad? AI can't make it good for you. AI is a shitty writer. If you want to write I assume you like to read. (If you want to write but don't like to read then you have an incredibly tough, nigh impossible road to "being a good writer" ahead of you.) Again, read as widely as you can. Fanfic alone will not help you unless you only want to write fanfic which I do know applies to a lot of people. There's a fantastic thread floating around here that explains why writing for fanfic vs writing original work for publication are very different spheres. And as someone who reads a bunch of both, the best fanfic still has structure, character development, and actual plot, very similarly to books. (This is very much my subjective opinion, but I despise "no plot only vibes" -- to me both are integral to a good read. This 100% applies to tradpub too; the social media trope-focused marketing annoys me to no end. What is your story ABOUT?? If you can't tell me I have no interest in reading it.)
Instead of taking the shortcut that is actually sending you back to the start anyway, just... GET GOOD. And you get good by BEING BAD. Compose some trite purple prose nonsense rife with cliches. Have all your characters be shameless Mary Sues. Or, as I see the most often in early writers, be pedantic and repetitive as fuck because you don't know that you're doing it yet until after a year or so you look back and go "why the hell did I talk so much about this irrelevant thing? it totally disrupted the momentum of the scene and doesn't even develop character." And then, you'll realise that you've learned how to edit! Congratulations! You must understand that AI doesn't know this. AI is just plagiarising a couple hundred thousand people. AI has no brain. Don't trust it. Don't even play with it. It is a pathetic zombie concoction that only causes damage to others and the environment. Trust YOUR BRAIN. You are SO MUCH SMARTER. You KNOW what you want and like, you have way better ideas and images you want to convey. And in time you will know how to convey them accurately and compellingly in a way that sounds like you.
And finally, AI for grammar and spelling? Hoo boy do I have some opinions. Well, just one. Which is to simply GET GOOD!!
People bitch that English is a difficult language to learn but hey! All languages have their rules and nuances, so that's merely subjective! Whatever language you want to write in, learn those rules!! Seriously, just GET GOOD!! it's doable! I do it! In fact, many people do it and have DONE SO FOR YEARS.
Honestly, I don't use ANY kind of grammar software beyond the basic spellcheck automatically built into browsers and word processors nowadays (the ones that give you wiggly lines while you're typing and even then I rarely right click to accept since I find it faster to simply retype properly) because I KNOW MY SHIT. I know how to construct sentences, use consistent tense, punctuate properly, and capitalise or italicise or utilise any other convention of the English language I wish to follow or break because this is my craft, and I know how to shape it to become what I want my work to be.
So here is where I expect people to be all like "but what if I'm NOT a native speaker of the language huh huh??" Well, you're choosing to write in this language though. Do your level best -- and here is where I will say that this grammar stuff IS the most forgivable aspect anyway. Spelling errors or janky phrasing never hurt anyone when we can tell it's coming from a place of true diligence and effort, in fact one of my favourite fanfics of all time was set a summer camp and the NATIVE ENGLISH SPEAKING author wrote "councilor" until about chapter 20 when they asked us, utterly mortified, in the notes why nobody had corrected them (because the plot and characterisation were immersive AF and felt like it came from a real person with real experiences). Some of the most poetic syntax and delightful descriptions I've come across were from people writing in not their first language, or even second or third -- children and adults alike, still learning and still TRYING because they took this shit seriously and were putting in their all.
This is the part that I personally cannot comprehend (but in a practical way I do, only because I see it EVERYWHERE) of people claiming that they just can't "get" grammar and need some brainless software running on codes and algorithms to "correct" them - don't you want to be FREE of this dependence?? Wouldn't you prefer to write KNOWING that it says what you WANT it to say instead of hoping that maybe 30% will remain after a program strips it of voice and style (and then because you're no longer paying attention, it also makes your sentences just WORSE and not "succinct" at all)?? Don't you want to be grown and confident with SKILLS instead of whining for help (which just boils to someone doing it FOR you, not actual help) all the time???????? Like seriously!! Have some self-esteem!!!!! You deserve it!!!! GET GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have been teaching fiction writing as my day job for nearly a decade now and when my students fret over their sub-par skills I always ask them how old they are. Because they should know that 9 year olds aren't supposed to spell everything correctly. Instead, they're supposed to make mistakes so they can learn how to fix them. Then, they should practise and practise and practise until they're 19 and realise that the habit has developed so beautifully that they're finding it HARD to make mistakes!
And if you're 29 and still struggling, no it's not too late. The best time was to start 20 years ago but the second best is now. Writing is pretty much a lifetime gig so keep going, and GET GOOD!!

"Ninjago 7 AU"
General Lore Master Post
(I'll tag any posts I make related to this AU with "#ninjago 7 AU" so you guys can find them easier.)
(Warning! I love character analysis, so this is going to be really long.)
When Pixal first started constructing her little Mini Pix army, she started with just some simple base programming. To follow instructions and stuff. They aren't necessarily conscience AI like Zane and Pixal are.
But after making a few Mini Pix's, Pixal decided to experiment a bit by incorporating a slightly more cognitive AI system. It's not programming exactly like hers and Zane's, though.
Just like in real life, I think that Ninjago's AI learns through experience. Like how after you search and look at different things on Tumbler or Pintrest, it starts to tune the feed to your interests. Or how, after running tons of scripts from a show through an AI, it can predict how a script from that show would go. (Albeit a very wacky and random version of a script. 😂)
Of course, Ninjago has vastly more advanced technology than the stuff we have.
I think that Cyrus Borg built Pixal with most of her "experience" data already built in. I don't think he had time for an AI to learn and develop from analyzing situations in the outside world. The tech boom in Ninjago City seemed to happen pretty fast in season 3.
(This could also partially explain her extremely robotic personality at the beginning of Rebooted. Most of her "experiences" at that time were just information and data recorded in her system and not actual real-life experiences.)
Anyway, because of this, Pixal was built to be mentally an older teenager/young adult from the start.
Mini Pix #7, however, was built with only a base AI, with little to no life experience data built in. She is definitely much more aware of her surroundings than her many counterparts, but she is still just a base AI. Her AI programing at the time of her creation is about that of a 3 year old child.
She, of course, gets schematics of whatever Pixal is working on, just like the other Mini Pix's, and knows how to do technical things (that's what she was programed to do after all) but there is a big difference between technical knowledge and emotional maturity. Basically, just imagine a 3 year old who is crazy smart for some reason, but still has the mannerisms of, well, a 3 year old.
(Like if she isn't scheduled to work on whatever project Pixal has going on at the moment "7" will go pout in a corner. She's just a little toddler who wants to be included in whatever is going on.)
After spending a lot of time and energy programming "7", Pixal found that she did not have much of either to spare when there was so much work to get done, vehicles to build, and missions to help organize. So, for the rest of the Mini Pix models, she used her original blueprints, and no more AIs were integrated.
Now we're up to Crystalized.
In the episode "The Fall of the Monastery", "7" as we know, saves Pixal, Wu, and Skylor from the monastery fire. (This particular scene is really important later. I'll get to that.) After which, in a subsequent episode, Pixal decided that she deserved a name and thus dubbed her "Mini Pix 7"
"7" also joined everyone else in that final battle at the end of "Crystalized' as well.
We don't really know when Pixal first made all the Mini Pix's, but at the time of "Crystalized" I have "7" being about 4 1/2 cognitively.
(If you have any info that says otherwise, let me know! I love discovering all the lore of this show, and I know that the time frames of things always seem to be up to debate.)
Anyway, in the months following the whole "crystal king debacle" as the monastery was being rebuilt and thereafter, "7" became a bit more of a permanent fixture of the team. She helped a lot with the rebuilding and was constantly following Pixal around, wanting to be included. The rest of the team quickly accepted her into their little family. She would always be getting into shenanigans, with Kai and Jay especially, and started to follow Zane around about as much as she stuck by Pixal. She would constantly be asking him to make pretty ice crystals for her and would do happy little somersaults when he obliged.
Well, as well as she could ask, with her limited vocal capabilities.
This became a problem.
As the months passed, and "7" grew and experienced more and more of life, the more she wanted to say. And you can only communicate so much with beeps, boops, and facial expressions.
She would get very frustrated when she couldn't communicate what she wanted to her friends, and as that was becoming more and more frequent, it made for a very grumpy robot.
As this problem persisted, Zane and Pixal started discussing building "7" a proper nindroid body. But they came to a bit of an impasse in regards to her memories.
Pixal argued that it could be dangerous for "7" to have to carry the memory of dragging her family out of her home and then watching it go up in flames. She was essentially 4 1/2 at the time! No child should have to live with that. Maybe not even deleting the memory entirely, but at least blurring it a bit, scrub away the details and such, make it bit less tramatic. And she had noticed that "7" already tended to have very expressive emotional responses to things. She wanted to give "7" the best life she could, as her and Zane at this point had become her main caretakers and in their hearts considered "7" their daughter.
Zane was completely against the idea of any memory erasure or even tampering. He stated that even if their intentions were to help "7," messing with memories was not a good idea in the slightest. He knew from experience.
(Ahem...Dr. Julian....ahem...Ice Emperor...ahem)
The arguments went on for weeks, and the rest of the team couldn't remember a time when they had seen the two so angry.
Especially Zane.
He was very adamant that removing any of "7"s memories was not even to be considered as an option.
(In other words, Pixal is being a momma bear, and Zane is having memory tramua.)
They both made very good points, and really, they just wanted to protect "7" in their own way. In the end, they came to the concensus that they wouldn't alter her memories, but they would keep a close eye on her and her emotional responses to things moving forward. You know, talk to her about it and stuff, and help her to work through the memory if it started to bother her.
About 6 months after Crystalized, Zane and Pixal were finally done building "7's" new nindroid shell. And "7" was very eager to transfer over. She is cognitively around 5 at this point.
The process actually took a bit longer than Zane and Pixal thought. But "7" had been through a lot of adventures in her first couple of years alive. There were a lot of experiences and data to transfer over.
When the transfer was complete, "7" couldn't have been more excited!
The first thing Seven did was excitingly thank her mom and dad for her new body. Zane and Pixal were a bit surprised at this. They saw Seven as their daughter, of course, but they didn't realize that she shared the sentiment and thought of them as her parents. (As pretty much the whole team cared for and looked out for her in their own ways.) There was a lot of hugging and kissing and happy tears. 🥺 🤍💜🩵
(I want to eventually write out this particular scene with all the feels and such)
When asked if she wanted a new name, she declined, saying that she liked the name Mommy gave her. I mean, everyone on the team had been calling her "Seven" for a while, so I think that she would have become a bit attached to the name.
Behind the Scenes!
(I originally did want "7" to ask for a new name. She was going to choose "Crystal". "Like daddy's ice crystals!" was her reasoning. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized that with everything she went through in...ahem..."Crystalized," I figured she wouldn't choose a name that would remind her of the evil purple shards that took over her home city and almost destroyed her family.
Also, I came across someone else's Pixane kid OC who was named Crystal, and I didn't want to steal that from them. So, with the combination of those factors, I scrapped that idea.)
In contrast to her parents' calm and thoughtful nature's, Seven is a bit of a handful. She's a very adventurous little 5 year old and is always seeming to get into trouble. Sometimes, in a mischievous way, but mostly, she's just exploring and learning about the world around her like all kids do.
She has a very bouncy and bubbly personality, and, as Pixal observed earlier, she can be rather emotional at times. She is very empathetic and doesn't like it when someone on the team is sad. She loves jokes and harmless pranks, and often, Jay and Kai will rope her into their prank wars. As much as she likes mechanical and electronic things, Seven loves to run around outside. She especially likes finding bugs.
Seven likes to spend time with her parents a lot. She was a bit clingy in her original shell, and that trait has definitely carried over. You'll often find her in the kitchen with Zane or in the Sam X cave checking out whatever new invention Pixal is working on.
Zane and Pixal, love their daughter so much!!! They are a little mini family inside of their bigger found family. They give each other hugs all the time and enjoy a big snuggle pile during movie nights.
Seven still loves watching Zane make snow flurries and ice crystals, and Zane loves seeing her face light up when he does. He often involves her when he's in the kitchen whipping up a new recipe. There is often a big mess by the time they're done. (Like when they made Cole a surprise birthday cake. Flour was everywhere!)
Since she started out working on inventions with Pixal, Seven still has a passion for electronics. She likes to hang around in the Sam X cave with her mom helping her with her inventions, making modification suggestions, and making stuff of her own. Pixal often hums when working on projects and Seven joins in. It often escalates into a full concert, both of them singing at the top of their lungs.
As Pixal predicted, Seven does have a bit of trauma from the whole monastery on fire incident.
It mostly surfaces as nightmares of fire and losing her family.
Zane and Pixal are with her through it all. Comforting her when she wakes up in the middle of the night, encouraging her that they aren't going anywhere. They will always be with her.
Zane got Kai involved, and he was able to show Seven that even though fire can be dangerous, when handled correctly it can be a beautiful thing, providing warmth, light, and comfort.
After that conversation and a few more experiences with Kai teaching her about fire, Seven began to overcome her fear of fire.
Seven loves her aunt and uncles!
Nya thinks that she is the absolute cutest thing and loves to work with her and Pixal on the silly projects Seven comes up with. 5 year olds have some crazy ideas for inventions.
Jay loves having someone around who actually laughs at his jokes. He loves being an uncle and playful teasing often ensues.
Lloyd is teaching her how to play some of his favorite video games, and in the process is taking more time for himself to relax and take a break from being the leader.
Kai is very happy to see this.
After helping Seven overcome her fear of fire, Kai has become a bit of a big brother figure to her. (Big surprise 🤭)
He likes to tease her and get into tickle fights until they both end up on the floor in fits of laughter.
Cole loves being an uncle and is always giving piggyback rides. They have a little game they play where Cole sees how high he can toss Seven into the air. This worried Zane a bit in the beginning, you know, his daughter being tossed straight up toward the ceiling. But he's used to it now. Cole knows what he's doing.
Probably.
Zane and Pixal have discussed eventually passing on Zane's element to Seven. But obviously not right now. Right now, they are just letting her be a kid, and trying to raise her to be the best nindroid that she can be.
And I personally think they are doing a great job.
That's all for now. If you've read this far, wowie! Thank you! You've got some perseverance! I'm not really the best writer, so thank you for listening! I have Seven's design planned out, and I hope to draw her soon for y'all. Stay tuned!
@100-percential-human I'm assuming that the wide eyes emoji on your reblog means that you are interested in this concept, so here you go! I hope you enjoy! :)

Big Data and AI: The Perfect Partnership for Future Innovations
Tumblr media
Innovation allows organizations to excel at differentiation, boosting competitive advantages. Amid the growth of industry-disrupting technologies, big data analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) professionals want to support brands seeking bold design, delivery, and functionality ideas. This post discusses the importance of big data and AI, explaining why they matter to future innovations and business development.
Understanding Big Data and AI
Big data is a vast data volume, and you will find mixed data structures because of continuous data collection involving multimedia data objects. A data object or asset can be a document, an audio track, a video clip, a photo, or identical objects with special file formats. Since big data services focus on sorting and exploring data objects’ attributes at an unprecedented scale, integrating AI tools is essential.
Artificial intelligence helps computers simulate human-like thinking and idea synthesis capabilities. Most AI ecosystems leverage advanced statistical methods and machine learning models. Their developers train the AI tools to develop and document high-quality insights by processing unstructured and semi-structured data objects.
As a result, the scope of big data broadens if you add AI integrations that can determine data context. Businesses can generate new ideas instead of recombining recorded data or automatically filter data via AI-assisted quality assurances.
Why Are Big Data and AI Perfect for Future Innovations?
1| They Accelerate Scientific Studies
Material sciences, green technology projects, and rare disorder research projects have provided humans with exceptional lifestyle improvements. However, as markets mature, commoditization becomes inevitable.
At the same time, new, untested ideas can fail, attracting regulators’ dismay, disrespecting consumers’ beliefs, or hurting the environment. Additionally, bold ideas must not alienate consumers due to inherent complexity. Therefore, private sector stakeholders must employ scientific methods to identify feasible, sustainable, and consumer-friendly product ideas for brand differentiation.
AI-powered platforms and business analytics solutions help global corporations immediately acquire, filter, and document data assets for independent research projects. For instance, a pharmaceutical firm can use them during clinical drug formulations and trials, while a car manufacturer might discover efficient production tactics using AI and big data.
2| Brands Can Objectively Evaluate Forward-Thinking Business Ideas
Some business ideas that a few people thought were laughable or unrealistic a few decades ago have forced many brands and professionals to abandon conventional strategies. Consider how streaming platforms’ founders affected theatrical film releases. They have reduced the importance of box office revenues while increasing independent artists’ discoverability.
Likewise, exploring real estate investment opportunities on a tiny mobile or ordering clothes online were bizarre practices, according to many non-believers. They also predicted socializing through virtual reality (VR) avatars inside a computer-generated three-dimensional space would attract only the tech-savvy young adults.
Today, customers and investors who underestimated those innovations prefer religiously studying how disrupting startups perform. Brands care less about losing money than missing an opportunity to be a first mover for a niche consumer base. Similarly, rejecting an idea without testing it at least a few times has become a taboo.
Nobody can be 100% sure which innovation will gain global momentum, but AI and big data might provide relevant hints. These technologies are best for conducting unlimited scenario analyses and testing ideas likely to satisfy tomorrow’s customer expectations.
3| AI-Assisted Insight Explorations Gamifies Idea Synthesis
Combining a few ideas is easy but finding meaningful and profitable ideas by sorting the best ones is daunting. Innovative individuals must embrace AI recommendations to reduce time spent on brainstorming, product repurposing, and multidisciplinary collaborations. Furthermore, they can challenge themselves to find ideas better than an AI tool.
Gamification of brainstorming will facilitate a healthy pursuit of novel product features, marketing strategies, and customer journey personalization. Additionally, incentivizing employees to leverage AI and big data to experiment with designing methods provides unique insights for future innovations.
4| You Can Optimize Supply Chain Components with Big Data and AI Programs
AI can capture extensive data on supply chains and offer suggestions on alternative supplier relations. Therefore, businesses will revise supply and delivery planning to overcome the flaws in current practices.
For instance, Gartner awarded Beijing’s JD.com the Technology Innovation Award in 2024 because they combined statistical forecasting. The awardee has developed an explainable artificial intelligence to enhance its supply chain. Other finalists in this award category were Google, Cisco, MTN Group, and Allina Health.
5| Academia Can Embrace Adaptive Learning and Psychological Well-Being
Communication barriers and trying to force all learners to follow the standard course material based on a fixed schedule have undermined educational institutions’ goals worldwide. Understandably, expecting teachers to customize courses and multimedia assets for each student is impractical and humanly infeasible.
As a result, investors, policymakers, parents, and student bodies seek outcome-oriented educational innovations powered by AI and big data for a learner-friendly, inclusive future. For instance, some edtech providers use AI computer-aided learning and teaching ecosystems leveraging videoconferencing, curriculum personalization, and psycho-cognitive support.
Adaptive learning applications build student profiles and segments like marketers’ consumer categorizations. Their AI integrations can determine the ideal pace for teaching, whether a student exhibits learning disabilities, and whether a college or school has adequate resources.
Challenges in Promoting Innovations Based on Big Data and AI Use Cases
Encouraging stakeholders to acknowledge the need for big data and AI might be challenging. After all, uninformed stakeholders are likely to distrust tech-enabled lifestyle changes. Therefore, increasing AI awareness and educating everyone on data ethics are essential.
In some regions, the IT or network infrastructure necessary for big data is unavailable or prone to stability flaws. This issue requires more investments and talented data specialists to leverage AI tools or conduct predictive analyses.
Today’s legal frameworks lack provisions for regulating AI, big data, and scenario analytics. So, brands are unsure whether expanding data scope will get public administrators’ approvals. Lawmakers must find a balanced approach to enable AI-powered big data innovations without neglecting consumer rights or “privacy by design” principles.
Conclusion
The future of enterprise, institutional, and policy innovations lies in responsible technology implementations. Despite the obstacles, AI enthusiasts are optimistic that more stakeholders will admire the potential of new, disruptive technologies.
Remember, gamifying how your team finds new ideas or predicting the actual potential of a business model necessitates AI’s predictive insights. At the same time, big data will offer broader perspectives on global supply chains and how to optimize a company’s policies.
Lastly, academic improvements and scientific research are integral to developing sustainable products, accomplishing educational objectives, and responding to global crises. As a result, the informed stakeholders agree that AI and big data are perfect for shaping future innovations.

Cool dice and stargazer
(Also the vampire one made me wheeze laugh so hard I snorted XD I was like nah I ain't saying that one about anyone 💀)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Everyone has diagnosed me as "Cool Dice" It makes me wonder if I should post a picture of my neat socks collection.
Also... Stargazer is so VISERALLY accurate, I'm surprised not many people got it sooner.
I was a Honor Roll straight A kid who didn't need to study or learn any life skills because schoolwork just came naturally to me and a lot of the subjects in school, like reading, science and art... and the basic academics were my special interests at the time so I did well.
When I went to college, I think I got my first Cs in classes that I genuinely loved and thought I was to be good at. Like Theatre, Photography and Psychology. and then I cried cus I thought I was dumb and not good at things that I loved.
No, I wasn't, I just didn't study and no one told me like that's what you HAD to do in college.
So like when... I tell Neurotypicals that I'm actually Autistic. They look at me so strange like... "But you did good in school!"
Yeah. And then I flounder later in adult life cause fundamentals weren't explained to me and quickly forgotten about.
I remember fighting with my English Teacher in highschool a lot because i said that "as long as the sentence makes sense in the context of the story, grammar isn't nessasary"
Which is probably something you see in my writing that I struggle with, and it's typically why I take so long because I keep trying to change the tense of verbage use to keep it consistent and second guess myself as if my fanfic is an academic paper to be graded. A horrible habit I know.
I'm also mildly dyslexic and horrible at spelling and cheated on all my spelling tests in Fifth grade and don't know how to spell to this day.
Spellcheck has been my friend, but since they integrated AI into it, lately spellcheck has not been picking up on my common misspelled words and usually recommend me different damn words then what I want....
buuuut...
Yeah. Sorry for dumping
Anyway. I have a lot of cool socks.

Ok, so I'm back at my computer now, I've gotten through all my messages.
Time to break down this whole Scooby Doo AI fiasco and why the people defending it have all the integrity of a moldy piece of wood. Because I thought I should just put it behind me after the first day, until I saw more bullshit from people coming out of the woodworks, including people trying to come at me with false equivalencies they were so smug about. Putting this under a read-more so people don't get exasperated with this post stretching their dash/blog.
Before we get to the main argument, we have to address what happened. And even before we address what happened, let's make something clear for anyone who's just here to argue and detract from my main point:
The animator at the center of this doesn't deserve to be harassed. A discussion deserves to happen and people are allowed to express their displeasure. But the animator doesn't deserve to be dogpiled.
So the main gist of it is that an animator created a pseudo-stop motion Scooby Doo short crossed over with FNAF, in the style of Rankin' Bass stop motion. The thing that's got everyone in an uproar is the fact that he used AI voices for most of the other cast (to my understanding, he only did the voices for Shaggy and Scooby). This caused the whole shitshow that's going on at Twitter right now.
Now there's a lot for me to break down on this one; I've already explained most of what was wrong with the excuses people were trying to come up with for this guy (Whom for some reason, people are trying to paint him as this "poor widdle kid who's just following his passion-" GUYS he's FUCKING 23 YEARS OLD. HE'S AN ADULT). But I'm gonna recap most of them, and then some based on the new discourse that's been coming out.
>"He can't afford voice actors! He's a single indie animator just working on a passion project!"
You can put out a casting call and let people know that this is a portfolio project, and you would like to see if anyone is willing to do it for free. Lots of people online are pretty enthusiastic about joining fan-dubs or dubbing projects even if it doesn't pay, and if you advertise the premise, you will have PLENTY of takers.
Or, regardless of whether you sound like a character or not, you do it yourself, with family/friends helping for roles of the opposite gender. Your credits should look like this:
Tumblr media
(Credits are from Matthew Gafford's "A Fox in Space Episode 2")
Or, additionally, you can collab with dubbing productions like Alex Henderson did for "Return to Krocodile Isle" with Bootleg Dub Productions:
youtube
The bottom line is that there's no excuse for resorting to AI, especially if you claim to hate AI. You're just a hypocrite.
>"So you hate fanart then!"
NOT REMOTELY COMPARABLE. If you wanna compare this to fanart, this is the equivalent of tracing over someone else's work without their permission and adding a side note that it doesn't belong to you. The fanart/voice comparison only works when you're doing an IMPRESSION of a character. AI is plagiarizing someone's voice with existing content. Someone doing Sonic voice impressions based on a specific actor is the equivalent of fanart, while using a Sonic AI voice of the existing actor is the tracing.
>"You must hate YTPs where they splice together or isolate certain audio!"
THAT'S NOT COMPARABLE EITHER, DIPSHIT. YTPs are done using PRE-EXISTING recorded lines that the actors were compensated for! AI is generating entirely brand new "recordings" that the actors have no compensation for! Actors like Long John Baldry with the famous "PINGAS" line or Gary Schwartz with "Pootis" were asked to record those lines, and paid for it. You're generating brand new content with an AI voice that they were not asked to record, nor compensated for.
>"This was for his portfolio! It's a harmless indie project!"
See, this one is harmful to the animator specifically. A big thing I've learned about the animation industry, having learned from my friend who went to art school, having learned under famous animators, and having collaborated/cooperated with a LOT of her peers, is that the animation industry is a buddy-system team effort. Want to make an animation with voices? Hey, these guys over here want to be VAs and are looking for any kind of little work they can to see if they can get the hang of it. Cool, let's work on this together! Now, when you're an animator with a portfolio using AI, you've essentially told your peers to go fuck themselves. In addition to that, you're telling your potential employers these details about yourself that you may not want them thinking:
You have no moral integrity and you're willing to cut corners when put into an unfavorable situation.
You're dishonest, and you'll cheat out other people who could stand to benefit from having a role in your portfolio.
You're unintuitive, and can't think outside the box when it comes to resources being scarce.
You're lazy and unwilling to look for an ethical solution if you're lacking important aspects of your projects like the voice actors.
And even worse, these people defending this situation are bouncing between "It's a passion project, who cares!" and "It's a portfolio, who cares!" PICK ONE, BECAUSE THERE'S A VAST DIFFERENCE IN NUANCE BETWEEN "FUN PASSION PROJECT" AND "SERIOUS PORTFOLIO WORK".
>"AI isn't hurting the integrity of art or harming anyone!"
Hi, remember when Erica Lindbeck asked a Youtuber to remove their video of her voice being used in AI to sing a song? And did so professionally and even stated the person she contacted was very sweet and understanding about it? AND PEOPLE FUCKING CHASED HER OFF OF TWITTER BECAUSE SHE HAD AN ISSUE WITH HER VOICE, HER FUCKING VOICE, BEING USED IN WAYS SHE DIDN'T CONSENT FOR? It wasn't just about the silly AI parodies, she even said, and I quote, "It's not about *this* video in particular or *this* creator specifically. I've had a content creator make an AI video of my character [referring to her character of Loona on TV show Helluva Boss] saying disparaging remarks regarding the show I was on. Literally putting words in my mouth that could easily be taken as mine. As an artist, that is so terrifying. I absolutely believe these people are making this stuff for fun, and are not fully aware of the negative effects AI content could have on the people whose voices they're using. I never meant for this creator to be dogpiled." And people still decided to attack her and just further disrespect her wishes. People refused to treat her like a fucking human being because the shiny keys they drool over and play with are violating and intrusive, after all the horrible shit she's gone through the year before with losing her boyfriend Billy Kametz. What it's doing is solidifying the perception that "AI is no big deal and who cares what people do with it, just let us have fun you fucking stuck-up asshole".
>"It's fine when small-time indie creators are using it, it just shouldn't be done by big corporations".
And now you've just admitted you have no fucking integrity. If corporations are looking at all these AI covers and AI projects being done on small scale, why should they give a shit if they do it too? I mean, everybody's doing it right? Who cares?
You're just affirming their notion that actors deserve to be cheated out of their work.
I'm sure there's a billion other excuses that some of these chucklefucks are going to come up with, but in the meantime, these are the biggest arguments I've seen (some people trying to argue with me DIRECTLY) coming from people. And I GUARANTEE these hypocrites are going to be coming out of the woodwork screaming when the next story breaks that a corporation is doing the exact same thing, or when it happens to someone they actually like. I know this isn't going to change anyone's mind if they're already set on treating VAs as non-humans, but if you're concerned about AI and actually have a moral backbone, these arguments are here for you if you need some good solid reasoning to fight back with.
Edit: Since making this post, I’ve calmed my shit down significantly more. I realize I’ve tended to come off as way too unapproachable whenever I tackle any sort of discourse, usually because I’m coming right off of a personal argument with someone else. And that blinds me to the fact that there are people out there who are nothing like the asshats I’ve just been arguing with.
So honestly and truly, if you have a good counterpoint, come and engage in the conversation. We’ll approach this civilly and see if we can’t at least gain a perspective, even if we still disagree with each other in the end.

So I just recently read your post about decto relationships with the bingo card thing, and I enjoyed it a lot and wanted to hear more of your opinions on other relationships. I would like to see which other relationships you choose and how you view them.
Firstly, I would like you to know: I cannot even put into words how happy this ask made me (the fact someone was curious enough to ask something from me unprompted! the fact that SOMEONE TOOK THE TIME TO APPROACH ME TO ASK!! AND ABOUT DETCO!!!), so thank you very much for making my day with this and giving me that dopamine rush. (Also, thank you for your patience, I got too busy and took me much longer to answer than expected!)
Secondly, notes still apply:
as in the previous ask about relating to this topic, i interpret relationships in the broadest possible sense
i check everything that makes sense to me, even if they seem contradictory; i view them applied to different situations/universes/possibilities
ship opinion bingo in question
*cracks fingers and rolls up sleeves* Now, let's get down to business.
I. Kudou Shinichi/Edogawa Conan - Miyano Shiho/Haibara Ai - Detective Boys Trio
The Elementary Squad
Tumblr media
I have A LOT OF THOUGHTS ABOUT THEM SO GET READY.
In general, the friendship (friendship is a canon relationship!) these 4 (then eventually 5) little menaces of my heart share, is so very precious. The way these 3 latched onto him, and integrated him into their little group, how Shinichi LITERALLY ACTS LIKE HIMSELF AROUND THEM DESPITE THE KIDS HAVING NO IDEA ABOUT HIS TRUE IDENTITY. HE IS AUTHENTIC AROUND THEM. Also I forgot the number of times the kids called Shinichi out on his BS (like him switching between his adult and child speech patterns when interacting with adults/the police and disappearing acts) and how many times they all get in soooo much trouble because they are lil troublemakers, so curious, never saying no to adventure.
Tumblr media
Shinichi is a mentor to them, teaching them about stuff but also their friend. Shinichi is Big Brother material, and the kids know that they can count on him, turn to him in need, and Shinichi cannot help but indulge them, involving them in stuff to an extent, while also trying his damnedest to keep them safe and protect them (even at his own risk and safety, bodily protecting them).
Tumblr media
And then you add Ai to the mix, and she gets integrated into their tight-knit little group. Not only Shinichi finally has a connection to the BO with her, but also someone who is in the same situation as himself and someone who needs his protection. (AND SOMEONE WHO TEASES HIM LIKE HE DESERVES IT! AI-SHINICHI BANTER IS SO GOOD! LOVE THEM!) And Ai finds herself not only friends but a family. (Sometimes a family is one middled aged man, 2 fake and 3 real elementary students.)
Tumblr media
She encounters unconditional kindness, which melts her cool exterior and as time passes she not only comes to care about these people, but also learns to lower her barriers. And ultimately makes the choice to be with them despite the risks.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You can give me these 5 kids in almost any combination and I would be so happy to see them (and could talk about them for hours without stopping, almost did them in different combinations separately, God, save my soul). Special mention: Mitsuhiko-Shinichi/Conan dynamic gets to me so bad because Mitsuhiko is the most curious of the 3, when it comes to knowledge. He LOVES learning, and applying what he knows (just like a certain someone we know). And Mitsuhiko learns well; he absorbs what Shinichi tells and shows him. (And I love how complex his feelings are about that.) Also the parallel between Heiji and Mitsuhiko, my HEART-
Tumblr media
I could go on forever about these children of mine (AYUMI AND MITSUHIKO'S PUPPY CRUSHES ON SHINICHI AND AI RESPECTIVELY, HOW THEY ALL PLAY SOCCER AND HIDE AND SEEK TOGETHER, THEIR LIL ANTICS, HOW THE KIDS LEARN TO THINK FOR THEMSELVES- *GETS SMACKED WITH A PILLOW IN THE FACE*), so have this utterly adorable lil thing to close this section.
Tumblr media
⊱✿⊰
II. Vermouth/Chris Vineyard/Sharon Vineyard -Kudou Shinichi/Edogawa Conan (- Mouri Ran)
This is such a delightfully precious and weird dynamic. I don't even know how to describe it, really because 1) there is so little content of this (WHERE IS MY VERMOUTH BACKSTORY/ARC!!! WHERE!!! WHERE IS MORE OF THEM!!! WHERE!!!) relationship in particular and 2) how do you even label something so unusual? Vermouth having such a solid opinion of Shinichi and Ran while the other two are so unsure what is exactly going on. (Shinichi is definitely suspicious of her with GOOD REASOn but also Weirded out I feel while Ran knows even less.) SO BEAUTIFULLY IMBALANCED AND WEIRD.
I guess, in short: Vermouth having a life-altering meeting with these two, only for Shinichi and Ran for it to be The Most Natural Thing?
Tumblr media
I JUST LOVE HOW VERMOUTH IS SO FOND OF THESE TWO. (SHE LITERALLY HAS PHOTOS OF THEM!!!) HOW MUCH SHE WANTS THEM TO BE SAFE. SO MUCH SHE EVEN RISKS HER OWN LIFE AND SAFETY.
Tumblr media
SO MUCH SHE WOULD SCHEME AND LIE TO KEEP THESE TWO SAFE. (SHE FCKIN!!!! DRAPED HER OWN COAT OVER HIM I'M!!! KDSNVKJSDVNKJSD *SCREAMS AT TOP LUNG CAPACITY* SHE FREAKING MADE AMURO PROMISED NOT TO HARM RAN AND SHINICHI, I'M GOING BONKERS!!!)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
SO MUCH SHE WOULD EVEN TURN A GUN AGAINST ANOTHER BO MEMBER, WOULDN'T LET ANYONE ENDANGER THEM NOT EVEN HERSELF.
Tumblr media
I'M! SCREAMING!! Love me a morally grey woman with her own agenda.
NOT ONLY THAT BUT SHE WOULD ALSO HELP THEM OUT? HER COVERING FOR THIS GReMLIn i'M DEAD, The WInK-
Tumblr media
BUT SHE ALSO WOULD DO THIS:
Tumblr media
(THE FREAKING GIRLY RUN SHE DOES AND THE LITTLE HEART, SHE KNOWS SHE'S OPENLY BEING A LIL SHIT TO SHINICHI AND I'M THRIVING-)
THEY ARE HER TREASURES YOUR HONOUR!!!
Tumblr media
Each and every interaction with them has me IN ABSOLUTE HYSTERICS, MAKING ME GO CRAZY. For closing this section, I leave you with a (bad quality) gif I made (in a rush) because this part in the anime MAKES ME LOSE IT EVERY TIME. THE SLOW MOTION, THE WAY HE HOLDS HIM BY THE HANDS AND GENTLE WAY SHE SETS SHINICHI DOWN, I CANNOT.
Tumblr media
⊱✿⊰
III. Hattori Heiji - Tooyama Kazuha - Mouri Ran - Kudou Shinichi/Edogawa Conan
THE OSAKA DUO (AKA FIRECRACKER PAIR) and the Tokyoites (AKA THE BIGGEST HEIZUHA SUPPORTERS OUT THERE)
Tumblr media
I'll be honest, at first I planned to include only Kazuha & Heiji in this but then I started looking for scenes in the manga and got obliterated by my love for the 4 of them. (And yes, I know I already did Heiji & Shinichi in the previous ask, I love them, sue me. Also, i wanted to count "Not dating but married nonetheless" for Heizuha BC THEY ARE, but this ended up as a 4 character thing so. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)
Tumblr media
To make it short: I FREAKING ADORE THEM.
In more detail: Heiji-Kazuha AND Shinichi-Ran both come in sets, DO NOT SEPARATE THEM. Then you put them all together THEY MAKE A WHOLE SET, A UNIT, A SQUAD.
Tumblr media
But also there are different combinations: The Detectives And Cursed Bad Luck Duo, The Superstitious Girl Duo, The Not Dating But Married Couple, THE DATING HUSBAND AND WIFE DUO, THE SEPARATE TRIO COMBOS. *RIPS OF CLOTHES AND ROARS* ALL SO VERY GOOD.
Tumblr media
THEY ARE JUST SO PRECIOUS TO ME, and they are just So- *CLENCHES FIST* THE BACK AND FORTH TEASING IN ALL KINDS OF COMBINATIONS, THE RUNNING INSIDE JOKE MOMENTS OF KAZUHA SAYING SHINICHI SOLVES CASES FASTER THAN HEIJI (TO HEIJI'S ETERNAL ANNOYANCE), OR HOW THE GIRLS THINK HEIJI AND SHINICHI/CONAN ARE LIKE BROTHERS-
Tumblr media
BUT ALSO BEING A WITNESS TO ALL THE WEIRD CONAN-THINGS, OR HOW THE BOYS BOND OVER THEIR LOVE FOR THEIR GIRLS AND THE GIRLS BONDING OVER THEIR LOVE FOR THEIR BOYS, AND BEING THE BIGGEST SUPPORTERS OF EACH OTHER'S HAPPINESS (CONFESSING FEELINGS TO THEIR BELOVEDS).
Tumblr media
MY BI ICON KAZUHA, NOT TO MENTION RAN'S CONFESSION IN KANSAI-BEN I'M FERAL, THESE GIRLS LOVE AND CARE ABOUT EACH OTHER (and the boys too, but more on that later) SO DEEPLY, IT'S ENDEARING.
Tumblr media
RAN LITERALLY, ON HER SECOND MEETING WITH KAZUHA, NOT ONLY SEEING SHE IS UPSET, BUT ALSO GOING OUT OF HER WAY TO CHEER HER UP I'M!!! BEST GIRL!!! TRULY AN ANGEL!!! (Ya really are a nice girl, Ran, I CONCUR.)
Tumblr media
THEN OF COURSE WE CANNOT NOT MENTION THE OSAKAN DUO. THEY ARE SO COMFORTABLE AROUND EACH OTHER, it's one of my favourite things, so UNABASHED WITH EACH OTHER IN WAY. They are (not dating BUT) MARRIED YOUR HONOUR, they really are like an old married couple.
Tumblr media
Honestly, I Just keep THINKING of them all BECAUSE THEY ARE SO DEAR, I'M SCREAMING-
Tumblr media
Also, it's so rarely mentioned but (because there is just so little of it in canon WHICH IS A CRIME, GET ON THE CASE BOYS) SHINICHI/CONAN-KAZUHA IS ESPECIALLY PRECIOUS TO ME, they have such great potential. Every time I SEE THEM INTERACT EVEN FOR A SECOND I GO APESHIT, ABSOLUTELY BONKERS. There is just something about Shinichi calling her "Kazuha" and "Kazuha-chan", the possibility of them BONDING OVER THEIR BELOVEDS AND YEARS OF PINING (because both Heiji and Ran can so oblivious it's endearing) but also bonding over HOW STUPID HEIJI IS AT TIMES, but also how much they both care for him and Ran. My dream is to see Kazuha make/get Shinichi a protective charm (let's be honest, hE NEEDS IT, and Heiji's seems to be sorta effective). There is a parallel there (now only if I could find the post for it). Also Shinichi not only being OK with Kazuha picking him up (LETTING HER!!!) BUT ALSO BEING FINE WITH KAZUHA HOLDING HIM!!! (FOR A WHOLE CONVERSATION!!!)
Tumblr media
Also, ShinRan sharing that braincell.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I hope you enjoyed this wild rambling ride, dear Anon, and thank you for asking, I HAD SO MUCH FUN!!! May you have a blessed day, darling!

These are good points about generative AI, but there are some misconceptions in the above post that I want to correct.
Some of the points made above are just-so stories that sound good but aren't actually true.
1 - Oral traditions usually didn't memorize information word for word with high accuracy.
Memory recorded in oral tradition can drift over time as the information is retold, especially since not all oral tradition is focused on preserving literal accuracy. People would memorize concepts, associate ideas with places, and build things like poetic devices to aid in accurately conveying the same information, rather than focusing on word for word accuracy.
In those cases where people were trying to achieve high word for word accuracy, they had to build the same kinds of processes and procedures we build today to protect the integrity of data.
The human mind is not a good tool for recording and recalling data accurately. Cultures that relied on oral tradition just had more regular practice at memorizing things than we do, but they still faced the same challenges recording things accurately.
To put that in other terms, oral tradition wasn't usually like the end of Fahrenheit 451.
Just like photographic memory, the popular conception of what memorization in an oral tradition is often exaggerated.
(If anyone isn't aware, photographic memory like you see in film and TV is a myth, just like super-speed reading or people who only need an hour of sleep a day. The few rare individuals with superior autobiographical memory are usually observed as being meticulous about keeping journals of their lives that they review regularly.)
2 - Calculators didn't produce a generation of adults that couldn't do basic math.
To put that differently, slide rules didn't produce a generation of adults who were good at math.
The skills you need to operate a calcuator are the same that you need to operate a slide rule. It's just a different form of the same technology, a counting device, using a different interface, another example being the abacus.
What really differs between the devices is what they're good for. Calculators are the best and most extensible all around tool, but slide rules and the abacus can both perform basic math operations very quickly. None of them hinder the development of your math skills.
The problem is actually one of education.
Not only is it difficult to teach basic math skills, the quality of educational system has a significant impact on students trying to develop new skills.
As an example, US numeracy isn't great. About 30% of the adult population in the US doesn't have the ability to calculate using whole numbers and percentages. It's not actually that unusual to find an adult that could struggle to make change without an aid.
To look at a case where our tools really do change how and what we learn, consider graphing calculators. After they were introduced, students didn't have to focus as much time learning how to plot graphs by hand. Instead, they started developing the skills to accurately use a graphing calculator to visualize an equation.
3 - Point of sales systems don't automatically dispense change.
This one is a small nitpick, but point of sales systems haven't eliminated the need for cashiers to understand basic math.
You can find systems that dispense change automatically in fully automated checkout systems, but cashiers are still trained to work with bills, coins, cards, and checks the same way they were being trained to do so 50 years ago.
We haven't moved into a time where cashiers don't need basic math skills and the automated tools that have been around forever actually predate the modern calculator. Automatic cashiers, those machines that dispense coin change in the checkout line? They were invented in the 1890s.
-
Everything else though? Spot on.
You cannot trust generative AI to give you accurate results. Do not try to use it to replace thought.
generative AI literally makes me feel like a boomer. people start talking about how it can be good to help you brainstorm ideas and i’m like oh you’re letting a computer do the hard work and thinking for you???

Why AI Is Blind to Wisdom: The Shocking Age Bias in Silicon Valley’s Algorithms
Tumblr media
Dateline June 8th, 2025: In the epochal saga of artificial intelligence, a glaring omission has surfaced—not in a code error, but in human oversight.
AI systems, those heralds of efficiency, have systematically ignored a vital demographic: older adults. Despite U.S. citizens 50+ now accounting for over 120 million and AI adoption among them doubling in 2024, tech design remains dominated by youthful perspectives.
The result? Bias baked into diagnostics, financial tools, and job-screening algorithms that neglect aged realities.
According to AARP’s Dr Brittne Kakulla, “older adults prioritize function over flash,” a design principle too often sidelined kiplinger.com.
In healthcare, AI may misread age-specific symptoms; in hiring, it reinforces stereotypes—even when older employees outperform younger ones arxiv.org.
Meanwhile, for every Obi‑Wan mentoring Luke Skywalker, Silicon Valley’s LLMs proceed blind to decades of lived experience.
The cure is straightforward: integrate older adults in every stage—design, data, oversight. Include them in AI literacy programs, as recent surveys reveal they seek hands‑on learning opportunities.
—and respect their insights. When design teams reflect the full arc of life, technology becomes not only more ethical, but more effective.
In this unfolding chronicle of progress, neglecting one generation’s wisdom would be folly. As Benjamin Franklin once observed, “Life’s tragedy is that we get old too soon and wise too late.” Let us not program that tragedy into our machines. Instead, let AI remember: wisdom accrues with age—and it deserves its place in the code.

The pieces in these sets are embedded with sensors or magnets so that the board can instantly detect when and where the pieces have been moved. This arrangement has surely made playing chess more interesting for both beginners and advanced players.
Chess Pieces
One of the most valuable parts of an Electronic Chess Set is the intelligent chess pieces. These pieces allow beginners to learn how to move correctly and know about basic game strategies. The board gives feedback in real-time, and some chess computers even go as far as suggesting a move to develop your skills. The great thing about it is that the smart pieces will basically guide you through the whole game step-by-step, good for any shy learner ahead of any intimidator. This feature goes a long way in making the game quite entertaining and easy for kids and adults alike.

Smart Eldercare Solutions
Tumblr media
The landscape of senior care at home is experiencing a remarkable transformation in 2025, driven by groundbreaking artificial intelligence technology that's making it possible for millions of older adults to age in place safely and independently. With over 90% of seniors expressing a desire to remain in their own homes as they age, AI-powered eldercare solutions are bridging the gap between independence and safety like never before.
The Growing Demand for AI-Enhanced Senior Care at Home
As America's population ages rapidly, with projections showing that one in five Americans will be 65 or older by 2030, families are desperately seeking innovative solutions for senior care at home. Traditional eldercare models are struggling to meet demand, with significant shortages in healthcare workers and rising costs that can reach $11,000 monthly by 2050.
The AI in aging and elderly care market is responding to this crisis with explosive growth, expected to expand at a 21.2% compound annual growth rate through 2034, reaching $322.4 billion. This surge reflects the urgent need for technology-driven solutions that can supplement human care while keeping seniors safe and comfortable in their own homes.
Revolutionary AI Technologies Transforming Home-Based Senior Care
Smart Health Monitoring Systems
Modern AI-powered health monitoring represents a quantum leap from traditional eldercare approaches. These sophisticated systems use wearable devices and home sensors to continuously track vital signs, activity levels, and behavioral patterns. When anomalies are detected, the technology can predict potential health issues days or even weeks before they become serious problems.
Voice biomarker technology is particularly promising, with AI systems now capable of detecting early signs of depression, cognitive decline, or respiratory issues simply by analyzing changes in speech patterns during routine conversations. This non-intrusive monitoring allows seniors to maintain their privacy while ensuring their wellbeing is constantly safeguarded.
AI-Powered Personal Care Assistants
Today's AI care assistants go far beyond simple reminders. These intelligent systems learn individual preferences and routines, providing personalized medication management, scheduling healthcare appointments, and even offering emotional support through natural conversations. Unlike rigid automated systems, modern AI assistants adapt to each senior's unique needs and communication style.
These digital companions can detect falls through advanced sensor networks, automatically contacting family members or emergency services when needed. They also provide cognitive stimulation through games, memory exercises, and social interaction, helping combat the loneliness that affects many seniors aging in place.
Smart Home Integration for Aging in Place
AI-enabled smart home technology is making independent living safer and more manageable for seniors. Automated lighting systems adjust to prevent falls, smart thermostats maintain optimal comfort levels, and voice-activated controls eliminate the need for complex interfaces that can frustrate older adults.
Advanced home safety systems use computer vision to monitor for unusual activities or emergencies, while smart medication dispensers ensure proper dosing and timing. These integrated solutions work seamlessly together, creating an invisible safety net that allows seniors to maintain their independence with confidence.
