I see the future of writing bright. Despite everything, the AI, the world full of hate, people at each others throat - I see the future bright. People end up realising the true worth of something at some time. Maybe later. But surely some time. When we write, we have dreams. We have hopes - and of course, we have goals. But sometimes writing is just for fun. Just for the development of language or just out of pure love. AI won't be able to capture love as we do - humans with flesh and bone. Even if they understand patterns and write love, genuine hate is better than artificial love.

To celebrate reaching 777 followers on Twitter/X, here's a challenge for artists : Take an AI-generated image and redraw it in your own style!

Here's my version with Nora. It's not perfect, but at least it has emotion and a soul behind it. ^^

The goal of this challenge, the redraw, is to prove that the human hand is still useful :)

You don't have to participate if you don't want to ^^' If you participate, it's cool ^^ Whether you're a digital artist or a traditional artist (on paper), a professional or an amateur (even those who aren't very good at drawing), everyone can participate ^^ Just remember to include the link to the source in your reply to your post if you do so. I will say I think at least 75% of the time someone describes art as having 'a human soul' its shorthand for 'a positive quality of sincerity/passion/human imperfection etc that makes art engaging' (which is a sentiment you can by all means disagree with and is not a good argument for why a technology shouldn't be allowed to exist, but is generally not being used as a Spiritual argument), rather than 'I believe in an immortal soul which is metaphysically imparted into artwork created by human hands and imbibes it with Good qualities, and therefore art made otherwise is a Evil'.

Getting focused on that wording as the sole basis to make snide jabs about spirituality is only a little less silly than seeing someone go "god forbid xyz" and responding "Ummm actually god isn't real and thus can't forbid anything☝️🤓"
