I will talk and rant and rave about Dr. Stone all day every day! My all-time favorite series both the anime and the manga! Love the characters, their designs, the art in general, the story, the MUSIC! God I love the soundtrack. I put it on in the background when I need something to listen to while writing.

I'll share a thought I had regarding the most recent episode. (Was thinking about making my own post about it and I might still, but I'll share it with you!)

Senku made the conscious decision to bring along Hyoga, Moz and Homura's statues when they went to America. Homura I could excuse, she was probably still technically on the boat after Treasure Island, they may have never taken her off. But Hyoga and Moz? They were on the island!

They had their little bonding moment and were petrified on the island. And I could see him maybe bringing back Hyoga. Sure the guy killed Tsukasa (but he got better) and tried to kill Senku but he did help out later after they revived him.

But Senku never saw the battle bonding Hyoga and Moz had! As far as Senku or anyone else knew, Moz was a bad guy who tried to kill them!

This was just a silly thing I caught on when it was shown in the manga and seeing it in this week's episode just kinda reminded me of it.

YEAHHH!! THE MUSIC IS SO GOOD!!!!!! I don’t really see people talking about the ost for Dr. STONE it’s genuinely so good 😭😭

(although- I’m an audio engineer so I appreciate stuff like that- thank you for mentioning it 😌💚)

I think that’s something really neat about Senku- We see time and time again that even though these other characters are literally trying to kill him, his opinion that everyone deserves to be saved and have a place in this world does not change.

It may… also be a little selfish at time because it’s also true that if he feels there’s use for someone within the KoS, he wants them to fill that role…

BUUUUT again, everyone has a place in this world, right? LMAO

17. Most frequently worn pair of shoes

That can vary a tad depending on season and phase of my life a tad… I used to be a religious chuck taylor high tops girl (classic black high tops) but over time having a partner who works at vans and skateboarding a lot to get around in college I slowly shifted into being a vans girl. My most worn pair of shoes (I actively have 3 in various stages of worn/nice depending on where I’m going) are the black slip-on perf leather. I wear them just walking around, I have a worn pair when I wanna skate or am going somewhere they will get dirty and I have a pair I only wear when I want to look nice or teaching. I swear they are the most comfortable pair of shoes ever and look immaculate.

23. strange habits?

Not sure how “strange” this may be but I am oddly organized in some areas of my life and extremely messy in others. Like my car, absolutely trashed. My bedroom can also get cluttered with the amount of books and random scraps of paper but overall is pretty clean. My office is cluttered with work and decorations but is very well organized. I have color coded systems of schedules, files, etc. My creative spaces tend to get messy however my actual storage of supplies ✨ pristine ✨ I have a label maker and it’s all separated by type of supply, color, etc. Any file on my computer, immaculately organized. I truly have no rhyme or reason why some things get the massive over organization and proper storage and others look like a disaster zone. I have my records for my record player all mixed together but my books are alphabetical. I have perfectly wrapped cables for my cameras and guitars but my closet is a mess. My partner finds it strange why some things are overly organized and others are a perfect mess. And why there’s no in between either 🤷��♀️

This one is very nostalgic… when my family immigrated to the US from Ireland, the Boston area is where they settled. My mom used to take us back so often to visit family. Growing up going to Red Sox and bruins games this was such a big part of my childhood so this song has a special place in my heart. Especially since so many people know me for my connection to Boston sports.

“Always” by Panic at the Disco

I have a lot of self destructive tendencies and my number one always seems to be trying to take care of others first. this song I have always felt fits so much of who I am at my core. Growing up I felt very alone, isolated and responsible for so much. This song just hits so many notes for me.

Honestly there’s so much of Taylor’s discography that could fit who i am… but ever since she dropped the Carolina single… so much of my life has been spent living in North Carolina (setting for the book the song is based on) and this just hits such a special place in my soul. Living in the backroads of Carolina this just… is so similar to waking up in that misty morning air.

I asked my partner since I was struggling with this a tad… he swears this song really captures how he felt when we were first falling into love instead of being just friends. I showed him dirty dancing for the first time and.. idk he stands by most of this song being a very good depiction of me 😭 perhaps it’s leading to my independent nature… I don’t take compliments well so 😅

💙 Either Paul or Ted. I have a big love/hate relationship with Ted but he is very funny. Paul is my boring autistic little guy 🫶🏻 I also love Bill but he didn’t get enough screen time.

💚 WILBUR FUCKING CROSS!!! Joey plays him incredibly well and his story is sooo interesting and incredibly inspiring. He’s also hot. Also in love with Obnoxious Teen.

🤓 PETER SPANKOFFSKI!!! Typical answer I know but you don’t understand. I’m obsessed with him. I have 50+ photos of him in my camera roll and I’m currently going through the NPMD live soundtrack to analyze his mannerisms like he’s a bug under a microscope. I have two roleplays with him and an oc based off him (who I am currently shipping him with in one of the aforementioned roleplays). I have two button pins of him that my friend made for me. I am obsessed. The Spankoffski brothers are everything to me.

🌑 This is hard. NMT 1, probably Tinky or Ted. NMT 2, Malone, Boy Jerry, Peter, or Ethan. They’re all very precious to me, I love NMT.

❤️ Ethan Green. I *HATE* the way he’s portrayed in BF. He’s so much better in Yellow Jacket (probably because Joey plays him and not Robert 🤗). In BF he’s such an asshole to Hannah for no fucking reason and it pisses me off. I love Ethan but him in BF is the WORST version of him.

😡 Solomon Lauter. Obviously. But, Max is a runner up. He has a really good storyline and Will Branner is fucking incredible, but watching him intimidate and then beat up Peter makes me sick to my stomach every time I watch it (I understand that’s the goal but I just can’t stand it).

���️ I have a couple. NMT 1: Lucy Stockworth. I don’t hate her, but she’s entirely forgettable (imo) which isn’t a good sign considering the entire episode is about her story. Pamela Foster, ofc. Hate her to death. NMT 2: GABE. I HATE HIM SO MUCH (I don’t actually hate him that much but he freaks me out 😭 that scene in abstinence camp went on for a little too long).

Tech may not agree with Crosshair's choice to stay with the Empire, but he understands that it's his brother's decision. It reminds me of "Understanding you does mean that I agree with you".

Tech cares about both of his brothers and yes, he misses them, but he manages his feelings in his own way. 🥲

I'm worried about the Tech hate that's probably gonna come outta this episode though. Some people already don't enjoy his bluntness and I worry they're gonna come after him for being a "dick".

He just processes emotions differently!!! He's not a bad person!!!

AHHHHH WE GOTTA WAIT NOW 😭

First time we've had a two parter this season where we've actually had to wait for part 2.

Overall, I really liked this episode! I know there's going to be people jumping on it saying "it's just filler" and "it isn't progressing the plot". Emotional development is development! Let them all talk about their feelings!!!

They're clearly all struggling a bit with Echo leaving. Everyone is tense and bickering with each other, and while I know the guys are talking about how they need to accept it and move on, they're clearly all thrown off by the whole situation. I'm also happy that they're addressing the fact that Echo not being there requires them to rethink how they split up the squad. Three adults and a kid is a hard group to divide up.

Omega constantly trying to call Echo for help breaks my heart. She misses him, we miss him, his brothers miss him. There's gonna be a lot of missing him until he comes back. ☹️ I do wonder how often they actually keep in touch with him, though. Is Omega chatting to him when she can normally, or is it just because they're stuck and need his help this time?

I'm also really glad to see more Tech development! Yeah, he screwed up with Omega earlier on in the episode, but he worked through it. He's not really used to this type of thing but he's trying. And he acknowledges that they're a family. 😭

Also, I didn't mention this in the bullet points because I only just remembered this but Omega using Tech's words at the end! About how they can find a solution like they always do!!! I love seeing the little bits of influence that all of the guys have on her.

But, yeah! Long thoughts post today. Didn't expect to say quite this much but I'm missing Echo and I'm a stickler for emotional moments so I really enjoyed this episode.

Now we just have to wait a week! 😭

I just wanted to take a minute to introduce you all to my little Bruno family while I was here! 💚💚

I’m not sure if anyone will care to read about my OC and her kids but I’ve decided to post it anyway!

Her name is Vanessa 💚

Here’s a little about her and the relationship she shares with Bruno:

She’s 30 years old, but just as short as half of the kids in the Encanto! It’s the on going joke that Tío Bruno managed to find a wife shorter than he is.

When I say short, I mean she’s TINY. She’s only 143 cm. (4’8)

Her family owns a bakery in the Encanto. Delgado Dough

She has one sister who is 16 years of age. Her name is Pamela and they do NOT get along.

She totally thinks her sister is a pampered spoiled little princess who’s never had to lift a finger to help their parents and their bakery.

Before marrying Bruno, she’d work the bakery in the mornings and dedicate her nights to painting just at the edge of the village under the night stars.

She loves the arts, all forms. Music, painting, drawing, dance.

She’s quite the musician, seeing as her father’s favorite past time was pushing forward his knowledge and love for music

It definitely helps her adjust into the Family Madrigal. A house so full of music and talent.

Her favorite color is coincidentally green! She’s always been drawn to the color, it feeling so natural and beautiful.

In fact one of the first things Vanessa says to Bruno is “I like your ruana. Green is such a beautiful color, and it really looks nice on you. It brings out your eyes.”

He is FLUSTERED. He could have choked on his own tongue.

He stood there opening and closing his mouth trying to think of a comeback until Mirabel put the poor man out of his misery and interjected.

She found it kind of endearing. She’d never seen someone react to a complement like that.

Once they met, Bruno would be in town every day just hoping to bump paths with her again.

If you’ve ever heard of In The Heights (another amazing soundtrack done by the lyrical genius Lin Manuel Miranda) Bruno reminds me of Usnavi when it comes to Vanessa.  Especially in the song “It Wont Be Long” when Usnavi and Sonny are singing Vanessa’s name.

Mirabel told him multiple times “Tiooo just talk to her already! Come on let’s go let’s go! Make a move!”

He eventually listened… he’s just…slow about making his first move.

Painfully slow.

When Bruno brings her home she has no trouble settling into the family.

Vanessa always tells Bruno’s nieces and nephews that she doesn’t have a favorite.

She does.

It’s Mirabel. Just don’t tell anyone else, especially Mira.

She also bonds pretty well with both Pepa and Julieta.

She definitely finds it easier to bond with Julieta however. They just have a similar interest in cooking, and they both have this nurturing aura about them.

Her and Pepa definitely have a rocky relationship, neither of them caring for each other at the start. They couldn’t seem to see eye to eye but now they get along thick as thieves.

Vanessa’s relationship with Alma though….is complicated. She always grew up admiring the woman, but when she realized all the trauma and pressure the founding Madrigal placed on the family’s members, her perspective shifted.

She tries to keep her emotions towards Alma’s blatant mistreatment of Bruno hidden, but sometimes it’s hard. When her husband breaks down in her arms from the overwhelming burdens and traumas of his past, it takes her everything she has not to say something to her mother in law.

With that said, Vanessa would defend Bruno with her last breath. Rights for a Bruno Madrigal was the hill she’d choose to die on.

Her family is pretty comfortable with Bruno. The only person she has to defend him to is her sister.

God she’s so annoying! 16 years old and thinks she knows everything about everything! “I heard he was 7 foot tall…he looks BARELY taller than you.”

She’s one protective mama bear. She’s protective of her husband and even more protective of their babies….

Sophia and Pedro. Bruno’s weak point.

Sophia is 7, and the biggest little trouble maker you’ll EVER meet. Don’t get me wrong, she’s not a bad kid, she’s just a little menacing sometimes.

Her gift definitely leads her into a lot of trouble.

Her gift is mimic. It’s kind of like her cousin, but instead of shifting her shape, she can perfectly copy the sound of anyone or anything. (Etc. her mothers voice, an animal, a baby crying.)

She is such a little menace when it comes to using this power. Her and her cousin Camilo are a sight for sore eyes together. They like to pull pranks on the entire family. Camilo will shape shift and Sophia will throw her voice from another room. Truly the wombo combo.

She definitely is a bit spoiled…so if Vanessa says no to something, she’ll try and trick her father.

She usually can. Bruno’s disappointed in himself every time for falling for it. Vanessa is also upset everytime he falls for it.

She doesn’t abuse her gift too much though, most of it’s in the name of fun and games.

Her favorite cousin is Luisa. She wants to be big and strong and cool like Luisa one day.

Pedro is 5 years old.

He is the SWEETEST little boy in the world.

Vanessa literally hit copy and paste on bruno. The kid is the spitting image of his father at that age.

He’s a little sensitive guy, and a huge mamas boy. Is always attached at Vanessa’s hip.

His gift is like a sixth sense. He can talk to the dead and see them.

The first few days with his gift were overwhelming. He refused to stay in his room, crying every time he went near it. (If you’ve seen coco, it looks similar to the land of the dead. ) Definitely the biggest room in the house.

He was petrified every time he saw a spirit, clutching onto Vanessa’s dress begging her to make them go away.

The first spirit to try and talk to him is of course Abuelo Pedro.

He sits down with the boy and explains to him that he would have never blessed him with such a strong and important gift, like his father’s, if he didn’t think he was capable of handling it.

Pedro soon becomes used to his grandfathers presence, and learns to find comfort in his gift.

The little sugar skull on his ruana is a gift from Mirabel, something to make him feel less scared about his gift.

He’s Abuela’s new golden child.

Sorry Isa.

Not only is he the baby’s baby, and her last grandchild, he is always very vocal about sharing messages from Abuelo.

Abuelo always tells Pedro to relay a message to Abuela every morning, usually something along the lines of “let her know I’m here waiting for her, and that I think she still looks beautiful.”

Bruno’s low key a little jealous of the relationship his son and Abuela have.

When Alma passes on, Pedro is devastated. He looks for Alma every night, panicking when she doesn’t appear right away.

“What if she’s lost? What if she doesn’t come back! What if I never get to see Abuela again!”

When she finally reappears, he runs through the house letting everyone know that Abuela is rightfully back in the house with the Madrigals.

1: What is the best compliment you've gotten on any of your works?

I have gotten many extremely beautiful and kind words (comments my beloved 💙), but I think the biggest compliment of all was actually @nicoroni liveblogging me their re-read of Stereoscopy. 🤯🤯🤯 And both them and @debstinyyy actually wanting to hear my DVD commentary track-like ramblings about it. 🥺 (I love you guys so much 💚💚💚😭😭😭)

5: What is your go-to way to deal with writers block?

Giving myself a little time to recharge... and then if that fails, getting or giving myself a deadline. 😅 (A very black-and-white carrot-or-stick situation, apparently. 😅)

6: Do you have a motivational cycle? (As in phases in which you barely write and phases in which you write so much holy shit)

Yes, definitely. I think I'm finding that, like with so many things in my life, the secret is to actually start writing, and then it tends to snowball from there. But sometimes it can take me a long while to manage to open the word doc again after I get sidetracked by life, distractions, or simple tiredness.

11: What kind of relationships do you like writing best? (Family, platonic, romantic, etc.)

Definitely romantic all the way, although I do very much enjoy writing all the friendship moments, especially with the other characters, but also before the romance starts.

29: Do you listen to music while you write? If so, what kind?

Sometimes I forget, but it's almost always much better when I do, so yes! It's usually a single song (or piece) on repeat that I feel fits the mood of the story (or section) I'm writing at the moment. And the kind is... Uhm, I'm bad at naming music genres, lol 😅 Wikipedia says the artists in my playlists are various combinations of (sometimes alternative) rock, pop, folk, electronic, and then there's some modern piano, and animated movie soundtracks. (All of my fics but the first one have links to their song(s) or playlist in the notes... and maybe I should give Free Fall its own little mini-soundtrack, too. Poor eldest child of mine, you deserve it, and it's your birthday in a couple of days! 💕)

30: What is, in your opinion, the greatest achievement that you have reached in writing?

I wrote a freaking novel-length fic. And I absolutely love it. And several other people loved it, too. That's definitely the thing I am personally most impressed with myself for.

💚💙Space oddity(1969): “space oddity” and “cygnet committee.” I like “memory of a free festival”too, it has kind of cult vibes for some reason.

💙💛The man who sold the world (1970): “the man who sold the world” and “all the madmen”. “Tmwstw” has such a cool spooky vibe, and “all the madmen” reflects on his schizophrenic brother, terry. I find this so interesting, as to how terry and his family influenced Bowie in his personas! Sorry I could go on all day about this topic </3

💛💚Hunky dory (1971): Queen bitch and changes. Ok this album is SOOO GOOD and it was so hard to choose honestly. Oh u pretty things, quicksand and life on mars are def up there too.

❤️💜Ziggy (1972): “rock n roll suicide”. This has got to be my all time favourite song by him (sobs 😭), “lady stardust,” and “suffragette city”. This is in my top 3 albums along with Aladdin sane and hunky dory. Literally nothing compares to the spiders from mars

❤️🤍Aladdin sane (1973): “The Jean genie”, “drive in Saturday,” “time,” and “cracked actor” (sorry I just love this album too much) This is literally my favourite album EVER. Every song is just soo good and I get so excited when I hear any track from this one.

❤️💜Diamond dogs (1974): “diamond dogs”, “rebel rebel” and “rock n roll with me.” This one is so good in my opinion. Also I never realised how low his voice could be (have u HEARD the start of “sweet thing” 😭)

🧡❤️Young Americans (1975): “young Americans” and “fame” (thank u John Lennon). I like bowies voice in this one. It sounds kind of heavier yk?

🖤🤍Station to station (1976): “station to station”, “stay” and “golden years”. I ADOREEE THIS ALBUM OMG it is so powerful. I was kind of neutral on it at first but now it’s def in my top 5! I love those 3 songs but actually “stay” has to be my fave. It is just superior.

🤍🤎Changesonebowie (1976): “John, I’m only dancing”, “The Jean Genie,” and “suffragette city” HELP this album is a compilation of literally my favourite songs by him so this was so hard to choose. Literally every song in this album is my favourite.

🧡💛Low (1977): “sound + vision” and “speed of life”. This album is really cool, because a lot of the songs are only instrumental. Turns out some of these songs were gonna be used on the soundtrack of “the man who fell to earth” movie starring Bowie in 1976 (directed by nick roeg). But the songs didn’t end up being used so he put them into “low”. Anyways stan the Berlin trilogy.

💜🖤🤍Heroes (1977): “heroes” and “beauty and the beast.” “Beauty and the beast” is rlly cool and perplexing for some reason.

(I would put lodger but I don’t rlly listen to it much, I like “boys keep swinging” and “fantastic voyage” tho!)
