Day 12

Liber Liberi vel Lapidis Lazuli
III
1. I was the priest of Ammon-Ra in the temple of Ammon-Ra at Thebai.
2. But Bacchus came singing with his troops of vine-clad girls, of girls in dark mantles; and Bacchus in the midst like a fawn!
3. God! how I ran out in my rage and scattered the chorus!
4. But in my temple stood Bacchus as the priest of Ammon-Ra.
5. Therefore I went wildly with the girls into Abyssinia; and there we abode and rejoiced.
6. Exceedingly; yea, in good sooth!
7. I will eat the ripe and the unripe fruit for the glory of Bacchus.
8. Terraces of ilex, and tiers of onyx and opal and sardonyx leading up to the cool green porch of malachite.
9. Within is a crystal shell, shaped like an oyster — O glory of Priapus! O beatitude of the Great Goddess!
10. Therein is a pearl.
11. O Pearl! thou hast come from the majesty of dread Ammon-Ra.
12. Then I the priest beheld a steady glitter in the heart of the pearl.
13. So bright we could not look! But behold! a blood-red rose upon a rood of glowing gold!
14. So I adored the God. Bacchus! thou art the lover of my God!
15. I who was priest of Ammon-Ra, who saw the Nile flow by for many moons, for many, many moons, am the young fawn of the grey land.
16. I will set up my dance in your conventicles, and my secret loves shall be sweet among you.
17. Thou shalt have a lover among the lords of the grey land.
18. This shall he bring unto thee, without which all is in vain; a man’s life spilt for thy love upon My Altars.
19. Amen.
20. Let it be soon, O God, my God! I ache for Thee, I wander very lonely among the mad folk, in the grey land of desolation.
21. Thou shalt set up the abominable lonely Thing of wickedness. Oh joy! to lay that corner-stone!
22. It shall stand erect upon the high mountain; only my God shall commune with it.
23. I will build it of a single ruby; it shall be seen from afar off.
24. Come! let us irritate the vessels of the earth: they shall distil strange wine.
25. It grows under my hand: it shall cover the whole heaven.
26. Thou art behind me: I scream with a mad joy.
27. Then said Ithuriel the strong; let Us also worship this invisible marvel!
28. So did they, and the archangels swept over the heaven.
29. Strange and mystic, like a yellow priest invoking mighty flights of great grey birds from the North, so do I stand and invoke Thee!
30. Let them obscure not the sun with their wings and their clamour!
31. Take away form and its following!
32. I am still.
33. Thou art like an osprey among the rice, I am the great red pelican in the sunset waters.
34. I am like a black eunuch; and Thou art the scimitar. I smite off the head of the light one, the breaker of bread and salt.
35. Yea! I smite — and the blood makes as it were a sunset on the lapis lazuli of the King’s Bedchamber.
36. I smite! The whole world is broken up into a mighty wind, and a voice cries aloud in a tongue that men cannot speak.
37. I know that awful sound of primal joy; let us follow on the wings of the gale even unto the holy house of Hathor; let us offer the five jewels of the cow upon her altar!
38. Again the inhuman voice!
39. I rear my Titan bulk into the teeth of the gale, and I smite and prevail, and swing me out over the sea.
40. There is a strange pale God, a god of pain and deadly wickedness.
41. My own soul bites into itself, like a scorpion ringed with fire.
42. That pallid God with face averted, that God of subtlety and laughter, that young Doric God, him will I serve.
43. For the end thereof is torment unspeakable.
44. Better the loneliness of the great grey sea!
45. But ill befall the folk of the grey land, my God!
46. Let me smother them with my roses!
47. Oh Thou delicious God, smile sinister!
48. I pluck Thee, O my God, like a purple plum upon a sunny tree. How Thou dost melt in my mouth, Thou consecrated sugar of the Stars!
49. The world is all grey before mine eyes; it is like an old worn wine-skin.
50. All the wine of it is on these lips.
51. Thou hast begotten me upon a marble Statue, O my God!
52. The body is icy cold with the coldness of a million moons; it is harder than the adamant of eternity. How shall I come forth into the light?
53. Thou art He, O God! O my darling! my child! my plaything! Thou art like a cluster of maidens, like a multitude of swans upon the lake.
54. I feel the essence of softness.
55. I am hard and strong and male; but come Thou! I shall be soft and weak and feminine.
56. Thou shalt crush me in the wine-press of Thy love. My blood shall stain Thy fiery feet with litanies of Love in Anguish.
57. There shall be a new flower in the fields, a new vintage in the vineyards.
58. The bees shall gather a new honey; the poets shall sing a new song.
59. I shall gain the Pain of the Goat for my prize; and the God that sitteth upon the shoulders of Time shall drowse.
60. Then shall all this which is written be accomplished: yea, it shall be accomplished

A one-of a kind image of Baphomet cast from a hand-carved wax, with a Mexican fire opal set over their head as the flame of gnosis. This image is, of course, a take on Eliphas Levi's iconic drawing of Baphomet as the Goat of Mendes. It is also the product of my years of work with the god/dess, who is to me a deeply queer figure of creation – both creator and created.
The first of three one-of-a-kind pieces for my inaugural Samhain Line.
To me, Baphomet is the queer and genderqueer god/dess of witchcraft and chaos magick. Their sexual and gender ambiguity is the point. Their theriomorphic imagery is the point. The fact that they are on the one hand a newly-revealed divinity and on the other hand share imagery with gods more ancient than the written word are the point. Their passage through modern Gnosticism as a vision of Sophia and/or the God Above God is the point.
The pendant is heavy, and the stone set in strong prongs.
The pendant is one inch across an eight of an inch thick.
I would be happy to add a jumpring to the arch bail at the top if you would prefer that.
It is not yet consecrated. That is your responsibility.

Witch Tools | Cast A Circle
Source
Casting a circle could be used for an altar/ a protection before you start a ritual. Or a Symbol affiliated with Wiccans.
A pentagram is a witches Symbol, meanwhile the inverse symbolises satanism/ or a more in depth symbol for Satanism. The Pentagram is a Star, while a Pentacle is the same with a circle around it. A reminder if it has ‘Cle’ for Cir-cle it makes it easier to remember which symbol is which.
The pentagram represents Earth, Air, Water, Fire on all sides with the Spirit in the middle. North| Earth Top. East | Air Right. South| Fire Bottom. West| Water left.
Pentacle:
Tumblr media
A five pointed upright star within a circle. It symbolises white magic and good. The Pentacle is representative of intellect and reason. It also represents the feminine element Earth and is equated with the ability of bringing Spirit to Earth that makes us whole. Oftentimes Pentacles are used as talisman-inanimate objects laced with Psychic powers.
Pentagram:
Tumblr media
Pentagram: A five- pointed upright star without the circle. In the later 1800’s Eliphas Levi Wrote,   “The Pentagram signifies the domination of the mind over the elements. And the demons of the air, the spirits of fire, the phantoms of water and ghosts of earth are enchained by this sign. Equipped therewith and suitably disposed, you may behold the infinite through the medium of that faculty which is like the souls eye and you will be ministered unto legions of angels and hosts of fiends.”
“Cleanse the area with a ritual broom. Use four candles to mark the elements/points for north east south west. Start north and move clockwise, or create a circle and move your wand/athame clockwise. Use salt to create a circle, or other markers such as flowers, rope, keeping the elemental pointers inside.”
North/Earth: Salt -  East/Air: Incense - South/Fire: Candle - West/Water: Water Earth: Agate, calcite, emerald jasper. Malachite, black tourmaline. Air: Adventures, Opal, Tigers eyes, Mica, Topaz, white flourite, turquoise,
Fire: Amber, citrine, chameleon, ruby, Fire Agate, Fire Opal, Sunstone, Water: Aquamarine, coreal, moonstone, pearl, sapphire, selenite.
If you feel a negative energy/entity in the house, you can cast a circle to repel it, while also inviting good spirits to join you. All rituals must be completed in the circle. Do not leave until the ritual is complete.
You do not have to mark out your circle, but you can for ritual purposes, or for protection.
Casting a circle creates a protective high energy space, where you can safety carry out your ritual magic, without the interference of negativity/harmful entities.
“Casting a Protective Circle.”
You can mark the boundaries of the circle with candles, rocks or crystals along the edges that correspond to each of the cardinal points.
If you’re completing your ceremony and need to close the magic circle, you’ve opened. Simply repeat the same blessing. But rather than asking the guardians to grant you their medicine, thank them for it and bid them farewell.
Releasing the circle allows the energies contained to dissipate and them to return to its pre-ritual state. At the end of the ritual, turn widdershins (Anti-Clockwise) and say, “I open the circle and it now fades away.”
“Circle blessing.”
Guardians of the South, grant me the gift of your Water Medicine, so that it may flow through my soul, and make me whole.
Guardian of the West, grant me the gift of your Earth medicine, so that I may strengthen the growing roots within, to make me whole.
Guardians of the North, grant me the gift of your air energy, so that I may sing to the spirit within, to make me whole.
Guardian of the East, grant me the gift of your fire medicine so that I may sealt the glowing forge within, to make me whole.
Consecrate: Make or Declare sacred. To consecrate something is to make it holy and dedicate it to the service of the divine. This may be done to an area to create a sacred space, a ceremonial tool or offering or a person. To make sacred is to purify and blessing something and charging it with purpose.

Hi! Hope you're having a good day.
Just a quick question, do you know if you can choose out a pendulum based on its temperature? I have a few semiprecious stones and trinkets that I was looking through earlier to pick one to wrap and use as a pendulum since I haven't tried anything regarding yet.
I wanted to go off of general vibe, but also touch, so I held each one to try and figure it out. I noticed that some of the stones were really close to the temperature of my hand (jasper slightly warmer, opal slightly colder, tiger's eye pretty gosh darn close) although it was cold in the house and I hadn't touched them that day. There was a specific rock that matched my hands' temperature perfectly (labradorite). I do have pretty bad circulation though, so I have no idea.
I just wanted to know if temperature could be used as a method to judge which one I could use or not.
Good morning!
You can choose a pendulum based on any qualities you want, including which key you can get off the keychain so you can string it on some dental floss.
Every now and then a practitioner will be aware that a certain specific object (this jasper pendulum) will not work for them. Or, that a certain materia magica (jasper) will not work for them.
After the collection of many tools, a practitioner may also notice that this moonstone pendulum is better suited to questions of psychism and spirit-talking, while this jasper pendulum is better suited to questions of physicality.
However, I think your question of "which [pendulum] could I use or not" implies that most pendulums will not work, or not work very well, except for special ones which somehow are aligned to you, or agree to work with you.
The comment about stringing a key on dental floss wasn't a joke. If it's got a semiflexible cording and a heavier thing at the end, you can use it for pendulum work.
A necklace, a wet teabag hanging from its string, a charging cable with your phone still plugged into one end. Practically anything will work. You don't even have to consecrate them first.
I have a darling home made macrame pendulum tipped with clear quartz which I keep on my altar and use. When I can't find it, I use my trailer key lanyard instead. They both work equally well.
If you enjoy the temperature thought experiment, perhaps you have found a way which your personal vibes communicate with you about which object is most highly aligned to you - as donuts to dollars, all of them will work.

“Strange Bedfellows” is an odd name considering how many bedfellows Archie has had, but here we go:
Alice. WHY are you even at the high school?
Cheryl’s spit take at Penelope getting into ministry is everything. Finally, a cult I can get behind.
Wow, Betty. Did you steal all of Jughead’s jackets?
Veronica… that was literally the easiest jewelry theft ever. Do you just not check the camera? Also tbf you’ll get an insurance payout anyways so
The town formerly known as Riverdale. Does this mean they changed the town name into a symbol? A maple leaf maybe? Or just a do not enter sign?
Corrupt Governor Donald Dooley is still in office at least two terms later. This is the most realistic thing on this show. Please go vote
Oh great… Veronica is dealing in blood opals… ugh
“Although I believe this will be potentially cringey,” Girl you claimed to have liked his writing and encouraged him in high school. This cringe is 90% on you. Granted she is entirely correct
Riverdale has docks now? Are they swamp docks? For swamp tuna?
I like how Penelope has some random followers already. Do you think she put it up on EventBrite?
Jason is the savior? I mean, it checks out, but are they going to put his fake ashes into the consecration wine/maple syrup infused grape juice?
Also Jughead’s book had Transubstantiation as a title, which means he’s either psychic or has read Penelope’s EventBrite page while high
Jughead wearing a Superman shirt and getting the tar beat out of him tickles me
Hiram’s scheme bites him in the butt. Still don’t care
Ngl I’m gonna guess Jessica is looking to get her money back rather than find him
With the exception of Sheriff Keller, you’d think Veronica would leave them to the wolves, save for the opal
Also, call the FBI not Archie. Duh
Lol at Tabitha and Betty trying to get rid of Jessica. THAT is a conversation/scene I’d like to know more about
A dead body and a red bird. Tbf my aunt would have also seen that as a sign, so you do you Cheryl
Ok, that’s the voicemail??? That’s…. Not the nuclear fallout they made it to be. Also, he’s not entirely wrong Betty.
Ngl can I have Jessica’s number for uh…. Reasons?
Did they hit up the last remaining Spencer’s shop for this scene?
Lol poor Trevor Steins. Get that easy money bro!
In conclusion, this ep and the last could easily have been edited and put together.

Note
White represents Spirits and Air, East, Monday, the Moon, Opal, Moonstone, Quartz, and Pearl, the color white can be used in spells to create poise and confidence, to aid mental clarity, find inspiration and clear mental clutter. The color white is also useful in purification and consecration ceremonies. white in color magic for connecting to spirit, final endings and new beginnings. Use white candles to represent the Goddess. It also has Fem/Yin energy, and can substitute any colour! --🕯️

What will we not do for our dear friends? Once upon a time, Sun and Moon, husband and wife, invited their friend Water to stay with them in their house. Alas, their home was not big enough! Water and his creatures quickly filled the house and spilled into the surrounding gardens. Sun and Moon and no where to go…but up! This is why the Sun and Moon live in the sky.
The element of water, so prevalent in spring, is so closely connected to emotions. April’s full moon is a wonderful time to meditate on friendship. To whom are you most closely connected? What do you do for each other?
Hold bowl of moonstone with your hand over crystals
I bless these crystals in the name of the God and Goddess
I bless these crystals in the name of the elements
I bless these crystals in the name of friendship
May they transport all the positivity we put into them
 Light Green candle for health
“With this candle, I welcome health into our friendships”
 Light yellow candle for happiness
“With this candle, I encourage happiness in our friendships”
Everyone holds hands. Focusing positivity and envisioning healthy friendships and traits into the basket of stones.
“We are gathered in friendship, sons and daughters of Eve, As individual and as beautiful as the colors of the rainbow, Yet we are one. A friendship bound by love and by the call of the moon. Never let us forget our heritage, our true worth and our craft. Henceforth let this moonstone remind us that we are of the rainbow, Bless us with the love and support of enduring friendship.”
Pass basket around with moonstones and everyone takes one to give to a good friend of theirs. After, hug each other.
 Gather food and drink
Lord and Lady, watch over us, and bless us as we eat. Bless this food, this bounty of earth, we thank you, so mote it be.
 Pass around food
May you never hunger
 Pass around drink
May you never thirst
  Closing
Lady of the Moon, of the fertile Earth and rolling seas,
Lord of the Sun, of the of the sky and wild,
Thank You for Your presence in our circle today.
Stay if you will, go if you must,
But know that you are ever welcome in our hearts.
We bid you hail and farewell.
Blow out God and Goddess candle.
 Dismissing the Quarters
West. Banishing pentagram over stone. Say:
Powers of the West: powers of Water;
Thank You for Your presence in our circle today,
For sharing your deep mysteries and intuition,
Hail and farewell.
South. Banishing pentagram over stone. say:
Powers in the South; Powers of Fire;

Powers of the East; powers of Earth,
Thank you for Your presence in our circle today;

Magical Crystals and Gemstones
by Patti Wigington/ THOUGHT CO.com Updated July 09, 2017 01 of 20 MAGICAL CRYSTALS AND GEMSTONES Amethyst is connected to matters of the mind such as intuition and memory. Are you interested in using crystals and gemstones in your magical workings? There are literally hundreds of stones out there to choose from, but which ones you opt to use will depend on your intent. Select crystals and gemstones for use based upon their correspondences, or attributes, and you won’t go wrong. Here are a list of some of the most popular crystals and gemstones used in magical workings and rituals, as well as ideas for how you can incorporate them into practice. 02 of 20 AGATE Agate is associated with matters of the mind. Image by Darrell Gulin/Stockbyte/Getty Images Agate typically appears as a brown or gold stone, and is occasionally found with bands across it. Variations such as Moss Agate may appear with green or blue colors. Connected to the element of Earth, Agate is related to the brow chakra and matters of the mind. Use it in workings related to energy, depression, and mental health. A popular use for agate in magic is to use in rituals relating to discovery and truth, memories and healing, and overcoming feelings of loneliness or sadness. More about agate: Magical Correspondences: Days of the Week Magical Self Defense and Protection: Magical Crystals The Strong Sun Moon The Corn Moon 03 of 20 AMBER Amber is associated with clarity and confidence. Image by Catherine MacBride / Getty Images Amber isn't actually a gemstone, but a resin formed by hardened tree sap. It typically appears in shades of yellow and orange, although a few odd colors, like green or red, are sometimes seen. The color clues us in that amber is associated with fire and the energy of the sun. Use amber in workings related to the throat chakra, magic regarding clarity and confidence, and rituals of protection and strength. More about amber: Magical Self Defense and Protection: Magical Crystals Make an Amulet Bag May's Flower Moon 04 of 20 AMETHYST Amethyst is connected to matters of the mind such as intuition and memory. Birte Möller / EyeEm / Getty Images Amethyst is actually a form of quartz crystal, and appears in a wide range of purple and violet colors. Associated with water, it is also connected to the water signs of Pisces and Aquarius. Use amethyst in healing rituals related to the crown chakra, such as treating depression or anxiety, mood disorders, and stress relief. On a magical level, amethyst comes in handy for sharpening the mind and enhancing our intuitive powers. It can also help with cleansing and consecration of sacred space. More about amethyst: The Quickening Moon The Blood Moon Make a Yule Spell Ornament 05 of 20 BLOODSTONE Bloodstone is related to the use of blood in magic. Image by Ron Evans/Photodisc/Getty Images Bloodstone, also called Heliotrope, is a green speckled stone which includes shades of red and gold. It’s tied to the element of fire, and related both to the planet Mars and the sun. Use bloodstone in magical workings related to general healing, as well as fertility and abundance, both physical and financial. When it comes to matters of the body, this stone is often associated with (as you might imagine) the health of the blood - in particular, menstrual cycles and the circulatory system. More about bloodstone: The Storm Moon The Harvest Moon Make a Magical Poppet 06 of 20 CARNELIAN Carnelian is related to matters of earth, such as grounding and stability. Image by Yashuhide Fumoto/Photodisc/Getty Images The reddish/orange stone known as carnelian is often streaked with white, and its colors are reminiscent of the rich landscapes of the American southwest. Use carnelian in rituals that involve grounding, because it is indeed associated with the element of Earth. Its healing powers are used in treatments of impotency and infertility, and in some cases it is believed to stop excessive bleeding, such as nosebleeds. On a magical level, carnelian comes in handy for magical shielding, or as a talisman against psychic attack. More About Carnelian: Magical Crystals in Love Magic Magical Self Defense and Protection: Magical Crystals The Corn Moon 07 of 20 DIAMOND Diamonds are associated with marriage, but are also used in meditation. William Andrew / Getty Images They say diamonds are a girl’s best friend, and this sparkly stone has long been associated with marriages and engagements, but it can also be used in rituals treating fertility problems and reproductive health, including sexual dysfunction. Tied to both air and fire, with a strong link to the sun, diamonds are typically clear but are sometimes streaked with yellow. It’s rare to find one that’s truly flawless. Diamonds can also be used for workings related to astral travel and scrying, meditation, and intuition. More about diamonds: Magical Correspondences: Days of the Week 08 of 20 GARNET Use garnets in workings related to the root chakra. Image by Matteo Chinellato - ChinellatoPhoto/Photographer's Choice/Getty Images The blood-red garnet, which sometimes appears in shades of purple, is strongly tied to the element of fire and the goddess Persephone. Garnets are related to the root chakra, and can be used in healing reproductive disorders and regulation of the menstrual cycle. Magically, the garnet is connected to the mysteries of women’s bodies, as well as moon magic. Use garnets in rites that balance the spiritual with the physical. Of note, in some magical traditions, it is beleived that a garnet obtained through deceptive means will bring a curse upon the person who possesses it, until returned to its rightful owner. More about garnet: The Flower Moon The Corn Moon 09 of 20 HEMATITE Hematite is often used for protection. Kerstin Waurick / Getty Images Hematite is one of the best-known gemstones to use in magical workings. Also called Paint Ore or Iron Rose, this shiny silvery gray stone is tied to the element of fire and the planet Saturn, as well as the sun itself. Use hematite for healing rituals related to inflammation and blood disorders, as well as treatment of infection and fevers. One of hematite’s most common usages is that of protective magic, especially when it comes to homes and property. It’s also an excellent stone to carry for willpower, confidence and problem solving, as well as psychic awareness. More about hematite: Protection Magic Pre-Birth Ritual The Cold Moon 10 of 20 JADE Jade corresponds to the element of Earth, and symbolizes pure love and truthfulness. Image by Pacifica/Image Bank/Getty Images For thousands of years, jade has been a symbol of pure love, serenity, innocence and truthfulness. This pale green stone - sometimes appearing white, gray, or even pink -- is connected to the element of earth, and to balancing the humors of the body. It’s also associated with healing of the internal organs, such as the spleen and liver. Harry Taylor / Getty Images Lapis Lazuli, or Lazurite, comes in many different shades of blue, from pale to deep. It’s often seen spotted or banded, depending on the region from which it comes. The color is a reminder that lapis is connected to the element of water. Use lapis to treat depression and lift the spirits, as it is connected to the brow chakra and disorders of the brain. For a magical boost, incorporate it into workings involving altered consciousness, trancework, meditation, and connection to the gods of your tradition. Lapis lazuli was a popular stone in Egyptian funerary art and sarcophagi. More about lapis lazuli: Pre-Birth Ritual Crystals in Love Magic The Mourning Moon 13 of 20 MOONSTONE Use moonstone to connect to the lunar deities. Image by Asia Images/Stockbyte/Getty Images As its name implies, moonstone is tied to the lunar deities, in particular, any goddess with a triune or triple aspect. Diana, Selene, and Hecate are often associated with moonstone. This stone can be used in workings related to female reproduction, menstrual cycles and childbirth. On a magical level, include moonstone in rites having to do with wisdom and intuition, womens’ mysteries, and goddess-centric ceremonies. More about moonstone: Pre-Birth Ritual The Blessing Moon Healing Properties of Moonstone 14 of 20 OBSIDIAN Obsidian is related to fiery, volcanic energy. Image © Patti Wigington 2014 The glassy black stone known as obsidian is actually a volcanic byproduct. Naturally, because of its origins, it’s tied to the element of fire. Obsidian can be used to draw toxins away from the body, and is sometimes placed along the base of the feet during energy work, as a method of pulling toxins downwards. In a magical setting, use obsidian for scrying and intuition, as well as workings involving womens’ mysteries and the subconscious. More about obsidian: The Blood Moon The Long Nights Moon Magical Correspondences: Days of the Week 15 of 20 OPAL Opals are associated with spiritual and emotional healing. Science Photo Library - LAWRENCE LAWRY / Getty Images Opals are found in a number of shades and colors, ranging from opaque and pale to dark gray or blue. They’re typically speckled with multiple colors, which makes them an ideal substitute for other crystals in a pinch. Opal is unusual among the typical selection of gemstones, because it is associated with all four of the classical elements. Opal is often used in spiritual and emotional healing, but can also be incorporated into rites for protection. Opal tends to absorb the energy around it, whether it be positive or negative, so it’s a perfect enhancer or booster for magical workings. More about opal: Magical Correspondences: Days of the Week Using Opals for Healing 16 of 20 QUARTZ Rose quartz is associated with love and the heart chakra. Image by Tom Cockrem/Stockbyte/Getty Images Connected to the heart chakra, rose quartz is often associated with love and relationships. Use it in workings connected to love or even friendship, both giving and receiving love, as well as relief of emotional issues and drama. Of note is the fact that over time, rose quartz will fade if it’s left out in the sun. More about rose quartz: The Quickening Moon Yule Spell Ornament Pre-Birth Ritual Unlike rose quartz, white quartz is often clear, although it sometimes appears as an opaque shade of white. Connected to all four of the classical elements, the clear varieties of white quartz can disperse light in any color, which connects this stone to all seven of the chakras. Use white quartz in any healing ritual, workings connected to the divine, intution or spiritual growth and development. More about white quartz: Make a Quartz Crystal Wand Magical Correspondences: Days of the Week Ten Gifts for Under $10 17 of 20 SAPPHIRE Sapphires are connected to prophecy and the spirit world. DEA / A. RIZZI / Getty Images Although they’re sometimes found in white or yellow, most sapphires appear in various shades of blue, from pale to dark. The color reminds us of the sapphire’s strong connection to water, and its astrological ties to the zodiac sign of Libra. Connected to the throat chakra, this gemstone is related to treating disorders of the respiratory system and breathing issues. On a magical level, use sapphires for rituals involving prophecy and spirit guides. More about sapphire: Healing Properties of Sapphire 18 of 20 TIGER'S EYE Use tiger's eye in rituals related to courage and confidence. Tom Cockrem / Getty Images The tiger's eye stone is so named because of its brownish-tan or gold colors with black banding. Connected to the element of fire, the tiger's eye is often used to enhance overall energy and general physical health. Use this stone in rituals related to self-confidence, courage and protection. More about tiger's eye: Pre-Birth Ritual Using Tiger's Eye for Healing 19 of 20 TURQUOISE Use turquoise for rituals involving wisdom and intuition. Image by Yashuhide Fumoto/Photodisc/Getty Images Turquoise appears in various shades of blue, and often appears speckled or banded with black or white streaks. Associated with the element of water, turquoise is often found in the art and jewelry of the Native American tribes of the Southwest. Use this stone in treatments of stomach disorders, eye ailments, and even broken bones. It also comes in useful for general chakra alignments. In magical workings, turquoise is incorporated into rituals to bring about wisdom and intuition. More about turquoise: The Mourning Moon Make a Magical Poppet Healing Properties of Turquoise 20 of 20 ZIRCON Zircon is sometimes used as a substitute for diamond. xelf / Getty Images Zircon typically appears in a variety of colors, ranging from clear and colorless to white, to a pale orange, pink or yellow. Connected to the sun, use zircon in healing work related to sexual energy. On a magical level, zircon is perfect for rituals involving beauty, love, peace, and relationships.

🌌Moon phases
New Moon - This phase promotes new beginnings, new endeavors and new relationships. It’s a time for making positive changes, looking for fresh career opportunities and planting seeds of ideas that will be harvested later. A wonderful time for launching a new project, meeting new friends, starting a class, or taking up a new hobby
Full Moon -  The Moon’s most powerful phase, when we see her entire illuminated face. This is a time of fulfillment, activity, increased psychic ability, for perfecting ideas, getting your act together, celebrations, or renewing commitments to people or projects.  For some reason when a Full Moon falls on a Friday, these are the best days for casting love spells. If you try casting love spells during any other day, it doesn’t mean that the spell won’t work, but the results could take much longer.  There’s a lot of other spells that benefit from being cast on a Full Moon too, for instance, protecting property or your home, adding vigor to your life, increasing self-confidence, advancing in career at work, enhancing psychic ability or clairvoyance, strengthening friendships and family bonds, performing general good luck spells. an exciting time for a big get together. Relationships blossom, everyone feels all hyped up. Toast the moon! Go to a big concert or event and live it up
Waxing Moon -  This is a good time to focus on increasing things of your own — knowledge, bank accounts and relationships. It’s a time to think about pregnancy, to increase communications of all types —  business or pleasure. Deal with legal matters if you want financial gain. This phase promotes healing as well.
This is also a good time to cast spells for improving situations or for getting things going if you’ve been stagnant. When life is unchanging, it takes a little boost to amp things up a little and this phase is definitely the best time to kickstart your life. Spells that act faster during a Waxing phase of the Moon are: moving forward from depression, getting out of a rut, passing examinations and tests, finding lost objects, healing a sick animal or finding a lost pet, nurturing abundant, healthy gardens and the well-being of nature, losing weight or trying to quit smoking.
a great sorting-out time. Get together with friends, start some group projects, or have an evening in relaxing with close companions
Waning Moon -  The Waning Moon is a time of decrease, release, letting go and completion. This is an excellent time to begin a new diet or lifestyle, breaking bad habits, breaking off relationships or dealing with legal matters.
We all face some type of trouble in our lives that is not in our control. The Waning Moon is a great time to cast spells for getting rid of the black clouds and negative energies that sometimes hang over us. It’s a time when you can draw down the strength from the Universe. If you’re surrounded by difficult people and you can’t cope or if you have to tackle difficult situations head on, you can use the Moon’s power to assist you. By casting spells during this phase, you will gain the power to take control again, strengthen your weak areas, and become more assertive in your actions. This is a good time to catch spells that deal with developing inner strength and assertiveness, banishing enemies, stopping arguments, soothing unruly children, calming anxiety, getting out of tricky situations.
a quieter time. Perfect for spending time with family, or on your own. Light a candle, burn some incense, reflect upon your life and plans
DARK MOON
The two or three days when the Moon is not visible in the sky at all. The Dark Moon and the New Moon are often considered the same phase, but for the purpose of this post, I’ve separated the two.
On an average calendar, the Dark Moon is usually indicated by a black circle because it actually occurs on the day it is marked as well as one day before and one day after. This is a good time for discarding things in your life that you do not want, contemplating what you have already accomplished and what you want to accomplish in the future. This is an excellent cycle to find time for yourself and an ideal time for seclusion.
This moon phase surrounds us with a lot of positive energy and can act as a catalyst for immediate change. Many transitions naturally happen around the New Moon like new jobs, births, moves, but if you need to change your life, casting spells at this time that deal with career changes, moving, traveling, increasing your cash flow, better health – would be beneficial.
DEAD MOON
Three days before the New Moon is what is known as the Dead Moon. It’s considered to be the most magical and potent of all the phases. I have read that some witches will not cast spells during this phase because some believe that people who practice “black magic” do so at this time which in turn could influence any spells or rituals that they might be performing resulting in confusion or a spell not working at all. (Sorry horrible sentence, I’ll try to fix that later)
If you ever find yourself interested in studying the moons patterns, you will probably find that your demeanor will change depending on what the Moon is doing. I experimented with this once for a few months, by keeping a diary about how I felt or what I noticed in the people around me. It was really fascinating to find that during the Dark Moon I was very irritable and absent-minded but once that phase passed, I cheered up and begin to feel a lot more grounded. Certain situations naturally occur during certain phases too. For example, the cable guy came to repair my cable on the first day of a New Moon, which has happened before and ended up being really frustrating.  Since it was happening on that day, I instinctively knew that he would do a good job and he did!  NO DRAMA!
Try to find out during which phase you were born on because this will also give you insight as to why you are the way you are. Animals are also affected by the Moon, especially during the Full Moon and can become a bit more rambunctious.

A candle, crystal, or some other token to represent the planet chosen
Time for visualization
Optional: planetary tea blend
Sun - Cinnamon Tea
Mercury- Earl Grey
Venus- Chamomile Tea
Earth - Green Tea
Mars- Ginger Tea
Jupiter- Sage tea
Saturn- Nettle Tea
Uranus- Black Tea
Neptune- Pine Needle Tea
Pluto- Passionflower Herbal Tea
Moon - Lemon & Lavender Tea
Instructions:
Beneath the night sky or in a dark room, light your black candle.
If you’ve chosen a candle to represent your planet, light it. If you’ve chosen a crystal or something else, hold it in your hands.
Say these words: Oh [planet], give me the power to clear my life of this negativity. Like you, I want to clear my orbital path and dismiss what no longer serves me.
Close your eyes and visualize yourself as your planet of choice. It’s early in the solar system’s formation. Asteroids, planetoids, and other chunks of rock soar chaotically throughout the solar system. Some are orbiting in your path.
Examine the obstacles in front of you. How many are there? How big are they? Most importantly, what do they represent? Picture each negative influence in your life as a chunk of rock floating along the orbital path of your planet.
Feel your planetary body hurtling through space. You’re so much larger and stronger than these obstacles in front of you. As you approach each one, notice how you bring about its destruction. Does it collide with you and crumble into dust? Maybe your gravity flings it out of your path and out of the solar system, never to be seen again. Is it small enough to capture and become one of your satellites, benefitting you rather than harming you?  Does it surpass your Roche limit (the closest a satellite can approach without being pulled apart by the planet’s gravitational field) and explode? If you’re a ringed planet, maybe the little bits of dust begin to orbit you and create your ring.
When all of your obstacles have been destroyed, take a journey around the Sun. Nothing stands in the way of your orbital path. Perhaps now you know how to banish your real-life obstacles, or at least you have the strength to face them head on.
Blow out your candle(s). Drink a planetary tea blend or perform any other ritual that will help fill up the spaces where the banished negativity used to reside. The next time you’re forced to face those fears, remember those moments you spent as a giant of the sky, and that you have the power to conquer any negative obstacle in your life.
 🌌Binding
🌌Cleansing
🌌Grounding
Black Hole Grounding Method:
Dim the lights
Sit comfortably, whether it be outdoors under the stars or inside - your choice
Feel free to play some ambient music on your computer or phone, perhaps something on YouTube with a backdrop of the cosmos
If you have a crystal you like to use to help you ground, grab it now and hold onto it
Similarly, light a candle or incense that you like to use to help you ground, if you wish
Close your eyes and begin breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth until you reach a relaxed state of mind
Visualize the energy you wish to ground traveling up your spine, out of the top of your head, and into the cosmos - once you can visualize this energy floating in empty space, imagine it being sucked into a black hole until you can no longer see it
Continue rhythmic breathing until you come back to reality, and go about your day as usual

🌌Sabbats
Imbolc: Celebrated roughly when winter begins to turn to spring. Traditionally it also marked the successful survival of the harsh winter months and the beginning of the agricultural season. The returning sun is welcomed and candles are lit to honour it. It is time for purification and spring cleaning in anticipation of the year's new life.
Ostara: This holiday is the second of three spring celebrations (the midpoint between Imbolc and Beltane), during which light and darkness are again in balance, with light on the rise. It is a time of new beginnings and of life emerging further from the grips of winter. Also known as the Spring Equinox
Beltane: Mayday.
Litha: The summer solstice.
Lammas: The first of three harvest festivals
Mabon: The autumn equinox
Samhain: Halloween
Yule: The winter solstice

A one-of a kind image of Baphomet cast from a hand-carved wax, with a Mexican fire opal set over their head as the flame of gnosis. This image is, of course, a take on Eliphas Levi's iconic drawing of Baphomet as the Goat of Mendes. It is also the product of my years of work with the god/dess, who is to me a deeply queer figure of creation – both creator and created.
