Okay Bee I was flashbanged by a Ragatheory entering my mind last night and I need your opinion on it as the Ragaexpert

Okay, what if, Ragatha and Jax are related.

Hear me out, maybe not siblings since it would be a 13 year age gap but what about like, cousins

Like, maybe Ragatha's side is the rich one and Jax's the not so rich but both sides have a farm.

This is loosely put together and based on that both of them are (kind of) tied to farms and on me interpreting that one glance to the side in ep 5 from Jax as Ragatha talked about her mom as him knowing who she's talking about and having feelings about it. So, uh, not much evidence.

Though, after re-watching some interactions between the two (maybe this is just my brain) they do give me the vibe of "close relatives who grew apart", specially that one fight in the background from ep 3 after Jax throws a baseball right at Gangle's face.

As a last point, I feel like it would make for quite the parallels and sillies, like, imagine them interacting pre-circus: "Hey doll why don't you fight back. You should scream at her once in a while." "Are you insane? Scream?? At my mom???"

Anyway I have more stuff in my brain but I'll end it here because this is all I could coherently put together, love your work 🦅🦅

i personally interpreted jax looking away as him relating to ragatha having a Shitty Parent . because let's be honest that man has a LOT of issues to work with . also i'm so concerned about his fixation on masculinity . like i won't be surprised that to parallel ragatha having an abusive mother , jax has an abusive father that pressured him to be like a Man . i'm not sure if i'm sticking with that prediction but it really wouldn't surprise me .

i love the idea of their dynamic being like siblings or even Adopted siblings , but being actual relatives ? ... idk , never really appealed to me .... at most i think they could've had met once or twice through their parents but that's it .

besides umm ! these two are a popular ship and i think if they were actually relatives gooseworx would've said something about it a long time ago , or it would've been hinted at more in the show .

though ! to entertain the idea a little bit i do find the thought of them knowing each other pre-circus Hilarious . like imagine jax , who's dirty from spending all day tending to the farm . and then he sees this fucking real estate girl with her pretty pearls and golden rings riding an expensive horse . and he Seethes .

im about to drop an insane infodump btw . headcanons and all that is below the cut.

tldr; sniper is autistic, scout is adhdtistic, and they both love each other more than the other will ever know

i think that they show affection towards each other in a few different ways. on one hand they will bully each other (scout saying "wow u missed lmao" and sniper just grumbling a bit and rolling his eyes but in a way that u can tell there's Fondness there) but on the other hand they share small moments that are way more intimate in hindsight (fixing the other's hat if it's crooked, checking for injuries after fights, sitting in comfortable silence)

adding onto that. i heavily hc sniper as autistic (sensory avoidant) and scout having adhd (and even as being a sensory seeking autistic but shh) and those aspects are ones i find important to how they interact with each other on a day to day basis .. i feel like sniper is a bit flat in his tone (like when talking to anyone normally) and is generally semiverbal/selectively mute. also i think that a part of the reason he's so skilled with yk . being a sniper . is bc he's spending a lot of that time by himself which in turn means he has an easier time due to not having to worry about external stimuli (unless he's spotted, but also i feel like he's able to be fine when that happens due to having the prior alone time that wasnt overwhelming).

scout, on the other hand, i feel thrives in higher energy environments and can get antsy if there's Nothing Going On, possibly due to how he's so used to high energy environments anyways and its normal to him. he always needs to be doing something, especially in low energy environments, which could range from fidgeting with his hands (drumming his fingers, playing with his dog tags, tossing a ball up and catching it, etc) to roping the other mercs into his random (and usually stupid) ideas just so he has something to do. he is generally impulsive in his day to day life

okay actually on to the "how this affects their interactions with each other on a day to day basis" part. sniper tends to keep to himself but will interact with someone if they interact first, except for with scout. he will go out of his way to chat with him at least a few times a day even though he rarely does it with the other mercs (they all have loosely picked up on the favoritism towards scout). even if he's not actively talking to scout, sniper will still try to be around him even if it just means being in the same room as him (parallel play). scout will generally seek him out a little more than the other mercs and visibly gets nervous around sniper (battling his bisexuality). he tends to go to sniper either as the first person he talks to or the last person (rest of the mercs being busy would be an example of this) since he knows that no matter what, sniper will make room for him in his life. sometimes it will be an actual conversation, but scout also doesn't mind that sniper doesn't talk much in general and will just be near him because he likes him! they are very yapper x listener to me ..

okay this part is just gonna be disorganized thoughts about them

my favorite way to portray speeding bullet is pre-relationship, specifically scout losing his MIND over the fact that he likes a guy and not really knowing how to act around sniper, and also him being convinced that he's getting mixed signals from him. sniper, on the other hand is just like "man. i wish he would ask me out already hes so obvious". sniper wont ask him out because he knows that scout is in heavy denial but he also tries to make it clear in the way he acts that he will still be there whenever scout is ready for a relationship (aka those mixed signals).

in general they are very quiet about the way they show care to each other. not everything they say is a declaration of love but instead everything they DO is. they are both intentionally more subtle with their displays of affection, sniper moreso since he can keep a steady head on his shoulders about intimacy (most of the time). scout will brush the hair out of sniper's face. he will linger just a little bit longer than he should. he will draw sniper over and over again in his sketchbook trying to perfect every detail of his face. sniper will fix scout's bandages if he notices that they're coming undone, even if scout can do it better and faster. he'll put his hand on his shoulder and will also linger longer than he should. sniper likes woodcarving, and the amount of rabbits and dogs he's made while thinking about scout that he ended up tossing in his fire is an unknown amount.

when scout can't sleep, he'll go over to sniper's camper van just to Talk To Him since he knows sniper is usually up late anyways. sometimes they'll talk about the events of the day, sometimes sniper is cooking something over the fire that they'll share. sometimes they'll fall asleep cuddling in a bed that's too small for them and wake up next to each other, then pretend it never happened even if both of them can't stop thinking about just how Domestic that was. one thing they could agree on is that the quiet moments mean more to them than either would ever say. they both crave stability in different ways, but they overlap in the way that they love.

when they're not longingly looking into each other's eyes, they have a little fun with their affection! as i said earlier, they definitely bully each other a bit but both of them know it's not in a genuinely mean way. sniper will shove scout's hat down over his eyes, meanwhile scout will snatch sniper's hat off his head and shove it in his face. they'll rough-house with each other when they're bored. they'll laugh a bit when the other misses a shot or a swing, but the moment one of them is hurt, the other will immediately go into caring mode.

i like to think that scout had a slight crush on sniper after interacting only a few times that completely consumed him once they got closer. he's a head-over-heels loverboy, and anyone who knows him knows that fact. he's not good at romance but he tries REALLY hard to be. he'll buy flowers and accidentally kill them before ever getting the chance to give them to anyone, plan dates that always somehow get ruined (weather, wrong open times, etc), and just generally is unlucky in the lovey-dovey department. he does really try though

sniper started crushing on scout due to his persistence to talk to him. he's not used to people taking much interest in him, partially because he prefers to be in the background and also because he doesn't want to put himself out there in fear of people finding his autistic traits weird. this guy wears sunglasses no matter what time of day because it means he doesn't have to look people in the eyes. when scout found that out and Didnt Judge Him, it meant a lot more than scout knew it did. it was also what started the fondness that sniper felt towards him, that, of course, turned into love. for sniper, it took a while for those feelings to fully blossom into something full but once that happened he was GONE. i think sniper daydreams a lot about just being around scout and talking with him :)

very often see posts about how the one direction fans grew up to be formula one fans, and the more I think of it, the more it makes sense. putting aside the fact that almost all my f1 friends were 1d fans (were ? are lol), it makes sense that a fandom who's fuel was hyperfixating on boys living out their dreams shifted from one form of it to another.

tha being said, it got me thinking - how do the girlies translate to f1 ? and by girlies i mean what your kpop fan would call a "bias". for example, if i was a niall girl - who's my favourite now ?

so here's a silly little non-sensical analysis and comparison that should not be taken seriously at all :

firstly, the zayn malik girlies are definitely lewis hamilton girlies. both zayn and lewis come from humble backgrounds, were subject to vile, inhumane racial discrimination and hate - all while being arguably the most talented in their respective fields (I mean, you've heard zayn's high note in you & I, and seen lewis' 7 world championships). they're hardworking, pet-loving, very fashionable men who stay out of unnecessary spotlight for the most part, and step out once in a while to remind the world they're drop-dead gorgeous. the zayn girls are safe with lewis.

next comes liam payne - and here on you'll have to hear me out with my comparison of every racer and bandmate. liam and george russell are both aggressively british, unapologetically goofy and true to themselves (and i'm talking about liam in 1d not the one on logan paul's podcast). they're both very talented, highly regarded in their boss' eyes (toto wolff and simon cowell - this post is going to be interesting wow) and still somehow not an immediate fan favourite. this comparison also goes wonderfully well with the whole ziam and britcedes parallels.

thirdly, louis tomlinson. easy peasy. max verstappen. both incredibly blunt, dry humour, pr nightmares, do not give two single hecks. people either love them, or hate them - no in between. both incredibly talented individuals (louis wrote majority of 1d's discography, max has 3 world championships under his belt) and yet are discredited ("louis is only famous cuz of his bandmates and the band itself" and "max just had a good car"). the zayn and louis fued also parallels abu dhabi 2021 quite well aye ? (i'm going insane)

harry styles, no debate. charles leclerc - regarded as the pretty boys (the prettiest, their fans would insist i'm sure) and the most popular, the well-liked. both extremely talented without a doubt, but a little bit overrated, and victimised to glorify and support fan narratives. i know i sound like a hater - forgive me, not my intention. i like them both as individuals - their fans on the other hand (and no, not all, i know) are so blind-sided, so insane and cause so much unpleasantness on the internet. almost ironic, how the most amicable ones have the least liked fans lol. that aside though, if you were a harry girl, chances are you went from one fan-favourite to the other. i also just realised - this supports the larry and lestappen narratives - am i genuinely, honestly onto something here ? (i absolutely am not)

lastly, niall horan. now this one i'm sure will divide you all, but here you go anyway. lando norris. both babied immensely by their fans and bandmates/teammates alike - churchboy persona. the moment they shed the insecurity, suddenly bam everyone hates them (niall's mofo t-shirts, lando's frat boy tendencies, and saying things that the internet will not find funny), promising at a young age, yet somehow grew up to be called overrated. their fans are stubbornly loyal to them, defending them through all their rights, and wrongs. it makes sense to me. one smiley boy to another.

this probably makes no sense - but feel free to add your own comparisons, theories, and notes ! there's 5 of them and 20 on the grid, obviosuly disparity for me to go on and on and on about (for example, I see a little zayn girls to carlos girls pipeline, louis to fernando - oldest boy syndrome and all that) so let me know ! let's yap :)

Basically it's just. What if Hazel and Octavian's backstories were essentially swapped? (But different), then I got a bit too into it lmao

Octavian, idk if I want him to be a kid of Mors (death) or Orcus. Because honestly drama within kids of the underworld would be insane lol.

Imagine, Octavian being known as the kid who "cheated" death because of his father, but becoming a first cohort member— either by somehow climbing the ranks (idk, it'd be cool tho), or being able to land there. And then making his way as Augur.

And Hazel, being born with all the privileges in the world, although with a selfish mother, raised in a way that everyone could get over her parentage to Pluto, set up for success... But failing. Miserably. And ending up in fifth.

The parallels and resentment would go insane literally.

Also Octavian would act 584837% different than in canon, IDC, free will to characterize how I please. He's like, a literal dead man walking in how he acts. Always seemingly neutral. Like he's seen nearly everything. Not sure if he's a bad omen with how he'll look at someone intensely, almost as sympathetic as he could muster. Then they die.

Anyways anyways, uhhhthgheheh I don't have anymore thoughts for now, Lowkey I'm pretty sure if somebody bothered to send me an ask of a Octavian AU, even if it's just words with no explanation about what they think how the AU would change things, or just "Octavian but he's a kid of ____" I'll make something for it. Timebomb absolutely clears Ghostflower anyday

First of all, I feel like most of y’all are just “drawing parallels” where there really aren’t many because they’re both animated interracial couples (black dude/white girl) with dimensional issues

Their actual relationships are NOTHINGGG alike

Timebomb has HISTORY. They were best friends, they were enemies, and they LOVE each other. They both have trauma and difficult situations. They live in a society where they face insane oppression and class struggle. THAT is their story.

No hate to Ghostflower fans but that ship is genuinely horrible and has nowhere near the level of connection that Timebomb does, it’s very surface-level imo like a silly little teenage romance.

And Jinx, as much as she was ready to kill Ekko, never sold his identity out to Silco even though she knew he was the leader of the Firelights…just saying. (Looking at you Gwen)

And when it comes to the actual characters, they’re not similar at all. You cannot tell me you can draw a SINGLE similarity between Jinx and Gwen (or even Powder and Gwen) that isn’t completely surface level. I can see where some people come from with Miles and Ekko (they both paint murals and are smart Ig) but still I feel like y’all are just saying this because they’re both black. Miles is an awkward teenager facing the burden of being Spiderman, whereas Ekko is the leader of a gang/group that is actively fighting against the oppression they as a group face to make their lives better. He’s shaped by his environment. Ekko is also genius on an insane level in comparison to Miles…

Anyways no hate to anyone who likes Ghostflower (or these characters because I may have dissed them a lil bit) but if I see one more person acting like the two ships are the same I’m actually gonna cry

Debriefing Mi8 SPOILERS BELOW

Okay so holy shit I just finished watching Mission Impossible the Final Reckoning and I have a LOT to say (overall I LOVED IT)

I’ll go in the order it comes to me so bear with me.

I’ve been taking some cinematography classes and making some movies so I’ll admit the first 25 mins of the movie were mind boggling because so much happened at once with little to no context, really strange framing and cuts, and I was surprised at how different the editing and cinematography style were.

The part where Ethan absolutely fucks up Gabriel’s men threatening Grace was pretty funny though, I love when Ethan gets a little off his rocker with the violence. ALSO BENJI FINALLY GOT TO WEAR A MASK AHHHHHHH YAYYY.

Things REALLY picked up after the intro.

I admire how they made the storyline so easy to follow despite the insane stunts, parallels, and different portions of the mission going on. I was a bit iffy about the president at first but I’m impressed by her character (will get to that later).

The entity pissed me off but also filled me with dread because I think what this franchise tends to do is highlight different real world problems in a more dramatized way, and this intelligent AI intent on world destruction really put it into perspective how badly things could go. I digress, however so let’s move on.

I’d like to mention I absolutely ADORE Paris in this movie (and the last one too), her performance was great and she is so badass, really a great addition to the team and a great balance for Benji. I enjoyed their interactions and think it’d be a cool thing to explore (i really like their dynamic guys)

Truly I got whiplash by Luther’s death I was like “WTF” and there was so much going on I doubt Ethan and Benji had much time to process either- I hope they talk about it after the credits roll.

I appreciate them bringing back William Donloe (and his wife she’s so adorable!) the whole action sequence in their home was insane and I was on the edge of my seat the whole time as they switched between the team and Ethan struggling w their issues. Also BENJI FIGHTING? HELL YEAH DUDE he absolutely ate.

The shot where they all momentarily reunite was a nice breather, and YES IK it was tragic they cut the forehead scene but I am grateful they put it in the trailer bc it makes us think to Ethan and Benjis reunion and what a relief it must’ve been to them. It is still canon, I don’t care if they didn’t show it.

Ethans whole episode underwater was kind of disarming and felt really isolated, I wish they’d dragged out the stiller parts more to highlight just how frightening it would’ve been. Shoutout to the team who helped him get under, they were great! Also I love Grace but the whole CPR scene lwk disturbed me IM SORRY 😞

Now let’s get to the other sequence that was INSANE. Idk if you could tell by now but Benjis my favorite character and I’ve never actually found him so attractive until the moment he got shot (my bad). I’ve seen a lot of people complain about how it’s out of character for Benji to not tell Ethan he got shot but ETHAN NEVER WOULDVE LEFT HIM IF HE KNEW GUYS IT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE EVEN MY DAD SAID HE LOVES BENJI TOO MUCH TO LEAVE OFC HE HID THE BULLET WOUND.

Anyway! When Benji got shot I looked at my dad and he was like 😦😦. The whole sequence following this moment was INCREDIBLE. I love how it really showed how everyone in the team is important, with Donloe and his gang disarming the bomb, Paris operating on Benji, Grace preparing to capture the entity, and Ethan grappling Gabriel for the poison pill. Tensions were so high in this moment and we really should appreciate how Benji instructed both Paris AND Grace all while his lung was collapsing and he couldn’t breathe BENJI WHAT THE HECK this was too attractive (I’m sorry guys just like William Brandt I am NOT just an analyst). And GO GRACE GIRL she really showed us the difference between a good and great pickpocket ⏰. This climax of the movie couldn’t have gone better in my opinion and as someone who was pissed at the cinematography the first 25-30 mins it was SO SO SO GOOD.

The PLANE STUNTS OH MY GOODNESS they somehow brought it up a notch. Gabriel makes my blood boil and although his death was a gory one it was satisfying. Although I knew Ethan had plot armor for a few moments I really did think he was going to die and I’m so so glad he didn’t.

Now let’s talk about the president rq. She really is the sum of her choices and truly hats off to her for making that decision and to the general for choosing to save her with his weapon. I’m glad she gets a moment with her son at the end.

The ending, honestly I had to use the restroom really badly by then but I STILL teared up at Luther’s message and I know I’ll ugly cry the second time I watch it. Godspeed my friend you will forever be appreciated and missed.

The team parting at Trafalgar Square was also pretty bittersweet minus the sweet but I hope they get closure. Ethan walked toward either Benji or Grace at the end, so I hope they get time together afterward, especially him and Benji bc there is a LOT to talk about.

Overall things I wanna say are I really wish there had been more dialogue and interaction between the team themselves and a more clear ending in terms of their future relationship, although I think the lack of these things still did well in the movie. As someone who loves Ethan’s different dynamics w specific members of the team, I wish they’d done a bit more of that. He barely interacts w Paris and mostly just meaningfully gazes at Benji but liike ykyk

This has been a wild ride and such a crucial part of my childhood, and I left the theater with a bittersweet feeling of completion. Thanks to everyone who made this franchise happen 🫡

seriously this panel is so,,, god,,, like not only the parallel makes me insane but wow the shapes and colors here too. i am easily amazed clearly LMFAO but gosh idk i just really like this,,, the swirl of summer flames lashing around and javier's wings also being curled as part of the swirl, centering to a single point around the eye of summer,,, which is also similar to the older panels of suho reaching to the light bc they usually ended up also pinpointed on a single point in at least one of the panels . oh my god it just keeps going im so . AAAAHHH!!!!!

i think it's interesting too that one of the differences is that both of them are reaching, but in this panel his fingers are wider outstretched. like, suho's hand reaches, but lloyd's hand is about to grab, does that make sense? that's what it looks like to me,,, of course i'm not sure how intentional that is (it likely isn't and is just that way bc it's been so long since the original panel was drawn) but it's a nice difference to point out either way,,, he's finally reaching it

So we can all agree Ragatha has the highest chance of abstracting right?

Okay now that I got your attention with that total ima go into detail and probably say what others have said but also give my thoughts and speculations because well why not

So with episode 5 being out people have been moving more so into the camp that either Ragatha or Gangle (or the more fun idea of it being Caine) that will abstract which is valid but I don’t think Gangle will due to some reasons that’ll parallel into why I believe Ragatha will (and I’m praying I’m proven wrong and that she doesn’t abstract)

So let’s go into my insane ramblings so in episode 3 kinger says something that we can imagine ties into the main reason one abstracts (other than breaking point) and that’s this

So with this it’s a big point into why I think Ragatha will be the one to abstract since we see in episode 5 that at the end everyone but her goes off into their little groups

• Gangle and Zooble go off to do their own thing

• Kinger goes in same direction probably to do Kinger things

• Then Pomni and Jax go in a different direction to check something out

And where does this leave Ragatha? It leaves her all alone, believing they’re not wanted anywhere, we even see her look between the two groups before sighing looking what can be assumed to be dejected and then going in her own direction away from the two groups

Now this parallels Gangle and why I don’t think they will because we see that they feel wanted at least by Zooble and maybe Pomni as shown by her drawing that they made of what can be seen as who she thinks is her actual friends or at least people who they think actually care about them (image gotten by one of the posts glitch made after episode 4)

Then there’s episode 5 where we see a culmination of this with mostly the softball game but also the stargazing bit and given the stargazing whiles we don’t see the whole thing we do see that once again everyone is in their own groups but Ragatha is the only one who is walking between them all not being formally invited to join them and sit down (only sitting after she approaches kinger about fireflies) just unintentionally not being wanted. Then the softball game this has the most from Pomni dismissing Ragatha finally being negative by telling her to calm down to Ragatha self hatred on not being good enough at her own suggestion (even using the words “I should be better than that) which is most likely instilled from her mother. Then there’s when she finally got the chance to have another go it ended before she could even do anything and when she saw if Pomni was watching they were focused on talking to Jax

There’s also the fun thing that Ragathas’ evil clone is the only one we actually see die/melt and before you say yes I know Jax attacked his clone but we never actually saw the clone die it just cut

So with all of this stuff compiled it makes me think that in either episode 6 or 7 we may see Ragatha either abstract or get dangerously close to abstracting (that’s if there’s a way to stop it if caught early)

But yes anyway that like majority of my thoughts on this and why I think it may (unfortunately) be Ragatha who might abstract and I am happy to be proven wrong

A/N- Sidenote. Plz can y'all be normal about Gabe, because as someone who has very similar issues to his, the weirdo infantilization of him does in fact not slip past me :)))) It's like the one problem I have had with this fandom, man. Anyway.

Gabe is obviously an insanely devoted lover. In general, when he puts himself into something, he’s not going to let it go until he’s able to achieve or complete it. He can have a bit of a one track mind. If his mission is loving someone, he makes it his top priority, and puts his all into it. You end up being the most important thing to him, above anything else. It's hard to get to that point with him, but once he gets it, you're everything to him.

He’s protective, in his own way. Maybe to a concerning degree at times? He can get himself into an “us vs them” type of thought process, and ends up applying that to partners. It’s so hard for him to trust other people, but he trusts you, and so of course to him it’s his responsibility to protect you. It’s not always inherently a bad thing, though. He is always willing to stand his ground, and defend you if need be. He could not fight for shit, but he wouldn't be afraid to throw a punch if need-be. Whatever, if it means he can do his part to keep you safe.

He always has stories to tell, and he loves to tell them. A bit of a gossip if you will. Whether that's the things he's accumulated from inpatient facilities, ancient family drama, or just little quips he overheard while out- he's always got something to talk about. One of his favorite pass-times is simply sitting with you and talking about drama that has nothing to do with either of you, or assholes from high school, or whatever is going on with that random celebrity he heard about. A good bit of chatter never hurt anyone, right?

He knows so many nice little places around town. Some of which maybe he is not supposed to be, but it's all spots he has memories or thinks is pretty. He of course loves dragging you there to talk or just exist together away from the world. He's more often there alone, nothing but him and a pack of cigs, his phone silenced. They feel much brighter when you're with him.

His main love language is words of affirmation, unsurprisingly. He absolutely eats up any form of encouragement or praise, it makes him feel like he’s doing something right. Earnest reassurance helps him actually trust someone much easier and allows him to trust himself more. He’s also a big fan of physical touch. Simply getting to be soft with his partner is his favorite. Squeezing their hand, leaning his head on their shoulder. Having his arms wrapped around you is a feeling he will never get over. The type to whine about it when you gotta get out of bed in the morning.

He would actually melt if he saw you in his clothes. Like, actually, become one with the floor it would fluster him so badly. He doesn't usually fluster so- visibly but the moment he sees you in one of his big sweaters his face is bright red. He'd think you stealing his beanie is the cutest thing ever, to him its like saying you want to be seen with him. A way to show that you're together, you're his and you're not thinking about leaving. Not to mention, you do just look adorable.

Very into parallel play, and similar forms of hanging out. Just being in each other's presence. He always knows when someone else is in the room even if he can't see them, and it makes being alone even worse. He is the type that can just feel when there's another person around, and thrives when there's others around, even if he isn't interacting with them actively. He can provide nice company if you're doing work, or reading, or cooking. Doesn't have to be much talking, just being there.

Sleep with him and he is yours. It can be hard for him to sleep, a good lot of the time, but if you're there he at least has something to focus on until he actually does doze off. Contrary to popular belief, he is not always little spoon. He loves having you hang onto him, your arms around his waist or shoulders, being able to feel your breathing, of course he does. However. He does enjoy being big spoon just as much. Something about being able to cling you to his chest, hide his face in your neck, is really nice to him. He might trace your hands while he tries to get to sleep if he knows it wont wake you.

You never notice how much echolalia he uses until you're with him all the time. It's a lot, he processes things that way. He repeats things he's already said, but he also tends to repeat things he's been told. Just to himself, under his breath. It easily just becomes background noise, you get used to it, but it's hard not to notice when he echoes back your praises or affection. It's sweet!

He doesn't exactly expect you to be with him when he ends up in a meltdown, he doesn't really want you to, actually. Whether that's comfort, or an attempt at reasoning, he's not very fond of the idea of you being there. He is aware of how he gets, he knows the genre the things he says falls into. Ideally, he wouldn't think like that, get like that, at all once you're together but he knows deep down that's not how it works. He doesn't mind you helping him deal with the aftermath, however, once he's less overwhelmed and can control himself better. They're exhausting. Cuddling up, face in your chest, trying to match your breathing. You're one of the people he feels safest with, he trusts that it'll be okay if you're there.

I strongly believe he is demisexual, at least the way he goes about and sees sex is similar to those that are. He’s not getting close to you unless you’re someone he is head over heels for and trusts, the attraction just isn’t there for him. He also isn’t one to have sex for the sake of it, it’s something he considers strictly an act of intimacy and show of love. Not that he doesn’t enjoy it, of course he does, he just isn’t going to be seeking it out if it’s just for the sake of pleasure. It’s gotta come naturally, and earnestly, and out of love. First, I drag a lot of parallels between her and Jane Prentiss. The way she speaks and the way she’s being corrupted by Liverpool SCREAMS The Corruption and good ol Prentiss. Honestly I could go on and on about how they connect, but I’ll save that for another post. So that’s why she has a skirt and the long hair, it’s a bit of a nod to the worm woman herself!

The skirt itself is blue because when I searched up the landscape of Liverpool I got a lot of water. It gets darker and muddy towards the bottom because of the pollution the Kyla describes. The sweater is green and muddy/dirty for basically the same reason. It’s supposed to be the greenery of Liverpool, and the dirt is the pollution but also the soil of the land.

She’s muddy overall because she’s being possessed by Liverpool or smth (I swear this must sound insane to anyone who doesn’t listen to tmagp).

She also has plants growing out of her and rocks coming out of her skin. Once again a bit of a nod towards Prentiss and The Corruption, but also to show he becoming apart of the land. It takes inspo too to how Colin became apart of the computers it seems. The situations seem similar if you ask me.

The other random injuries (bloody nose, cut on arm, and bandage on face) are references to pollution. It’s harming the land, so it’s harming her.

And it’s mentioned she has type 2 diabetes so that’s why she has an omnipod <3 literally is the only thing of her design that would probably be canon, everything else is really just me having fun lol.

Personality Headcanons

(Since the greek male love interests have little to none to go off of)

HYACINTHUS: I think people believe that he acts like very sweet and gentle, but I think that doesn't make a lot of sense for Hyacinthus and it's kind of a easy basic answer. Hyacinthus, to me, seems like more of a military type person. I mean, he's in SPARTA, and everybody knows how Sparta acts like. I'm not saying he can't be a nice person, but I think there is far more to him. He's not necessarily delicate in my opinion, he's very strong and very competitive. He can be protective, even over Apollo, and a amazing fighter. I think that he liked Apollo so much because he didn't have to worry about anything around him. He can be stressfree, and he loved that. I think he was also a direct person with the way he spoke. Essentially the way Patroclus acted like in the Iliad, because I believe they kind of parallel one another, like Achilles parallels Apollo in some ways.

NERITES: Nerites is a fun one, actually. It took a while for me to make up a personality because of what little we have of him. We know Aphrodite and Poseidon both love him, we know that he's Amphitrite's little brother, and we know he's extraordinarily beautiful. Also that he's Poseidon's charioteer. I also heard that he was VERY VERY fast to the point he even challenged Helios (or maybe he didn't and Helios was just jealous tbh). So I'm thinking that maybe he's a daredevil of sorts? Very energetic and very playful kind of like the typical little brother. He's a ride-or-die type of person and doesn't like staying in one place. Also, maybe he can be a little bit bratty at times, giving Poseidon a little bit of sass certain times (Poseidon is way more unbothered then people would typically think). Also I think Nerites is very much aware of HOW pretty he is and uses his pretty privelege to get away with pranks and stuff. I mean how is Poseidon supposed to punish him with those pretty doe eyes? Come on!

Ganymede: He's actually the more simpler ones. He's the only one that I can genuinely see as gentle and delicate. I think he was probably pampered a lot due to his immense beauty, so kind of the opposite of Hyacinthus. When he first came to Olympus I think he was genuinely frightened and Zeus had to comfort him. (Cute little headcanon that he met Nerites and felt a bit more comfortable due to Nerites' company). Even though we all know what PROBABLY happened based on Zeus' behavior, I like to think that Zeus was very patient with Ganymede and refused to touch him until Ganymede initiated first. I think Ganymede also kind of doesn't realize how much privilege he has? He's a bit spoiled but doesn't quite realize it? He knows he's pretty but he doesn't exactly understand HOW pretty he is, and he also doesn't understand how far Zeus would go for him. He's not necessarily insecure, just completely unaware and not too out of touch.

Adonis: Adonis is literally the insane dude who you speak to who constantly talks about and is fascinated by DEATH or the UNIVERSE or how the world is going to collapse any second. If Adonis spoke to the average joe, they would probably only listen because of how beautiful Adonis is. Adonis realizes he's very beautiful, but it's extremely effortless. I think Aphrodite kind of likes that he doesn't try so hard, and it just comes for him. Adonis doesn't like special treatment for his looks either (but he definitely gets it anyway). Adonis is incredibly fearless when it comes to death, and gets excited when he almost dies. Adonis has a great singing voice but will ONLY sing around people he feels deserve it. Not even out of arrogance, but because he only wants people he loves and trusts to hear it.

I genuinely get so surprised everytime I see people hating on season 6, especially Buck's storyline

like yeah I'll admit the sperm donor arc felt a little bit unfinished and weird

but the rest of it is so good to me I'm genuinely baffled that the majority of people don't agree with me on this one

like the season starts with doing his freaking out about trying to find happiness and all that and trying to prove he'd be a good captain, but he's doing all this extra stuff to try and prove that and he's really just trying to be a completely different person in order to be happy and worthy and all that

and then 6x11 comes around and he realizes that he's enough as he is and he doesn't have to do all this extra stuff or be anything else in order to have a place and help people and make an impact and all those things that he wants. And he actually starts to think about what he wants instead of just floundering around like he usually does trying to keep everyone else happy.

like "there's nothing for you in that room, no one in there needs you." "I'm not going back for them. I'm going back for me."

insane shit coming from the guy that's spent his entire life making choices and decisions based on what will keep other people happy and satisfied and putting all his happiness and self worth in how other people feel about him

and sure it takes a bit for that to settle in and he does have his freak outs about dying as one should

but by the time 6x18 comes around he's able to save the entire team basically just by trusting himself and his experience and doing what he knows without having to put on some fake persona of "captain", he just takes charge and gets it done

like that's a perfect wrap up of his storyline to me, and such a good contrasting parallel to the first few episodes

and yeah his relationship with Natalia is kinda weird, but it was what he needed in that moment

like it never would have worked long term, but it worked for a short time and thats okay, not everything has to be long term or permanent for it to be acceptable. And its perfectly normal to be drawn to someone who can relate to a very huge traumatic event like that, and if that's what Buck needed to cope and process it then that's enough ... especially since Natalia was pretty much only interested in him for the same reason anyway, so it wasn't like he was just using her to cope with trauma and she wanted more. they were both in it for the same reasons.

In what may be a dramaland first for me, I have absolutely no trepidation as we approach the finale of Secret Relationships today. Zero. Zip. Nada. I'm walking into this finale with my head held high, excitement in my toes, and my popcorn ready.

Why? Because there are no narrative crimes left to commit. This show already committed them all. Well, not ALL. It's never been boring or dull. I'd never accuse it of that. But our lead did just voluntarily go to that basement parking lot...plot induced stupidity indeed. We all have to carry the idiot ball sometimes I guess. (Note: Plot induced stupidity and idiot ball are official terms. I'm not being cheeky here. Well, maybe a little.)

The only wrong they could commit at this point would be for Jae-min to have actually left the game. We all know that hasn't happened. The suitcase is in the cabin.

Normally for finales, I make a "wish list". The symbols or parallels that I hope come back or the narrative threads I hope they resolve.

I have nothing on that score. I guess a good mirror/reflection shot would be nice. They've played with that a bit. I'm never going to oppose some visual symbolism.

My ONLY wish this finale.....bring on the insanity and make it extreme. I want wearing red to a fish's funeral type of nonsensical extreme. I want carnage.

I'd even be okay if one (or more) of our mains died. That's really the only way to solve the "Jae-min problem" in their lives moving forward. But I'd also love for Su-hyeon to get taken down as he protects Da-on from Jae-min. They had their agreement. Let them be each other's demise.

And yes, the really twisted part of me would even be okay with Da-on or Sung-hyun dying (preferably Da-on from a narrative standpoint). This show has had Othello vibes at times. Sung-hyun's grandmother could "adopt" Da-on's sister.

Note: I don't actually think Da-on/Sung-hyun will die (although they could get hurt), and I will be very satisfied if the two get their happily ever after. I'm just emphasizing that I am okay with literally ANYTHING at this point (other than boring).

I'd never lay bets on this show. I can't decide if Jae-min/Su-hyeon ARE working together (like the colors imply) or if Sung-hyun and Su-hyeon will end up teaming up (because how else will Sung-hyun find the cabin?).

Whatever IS the case....I just want to walk away clapping with glee at the sheer insanity of it all. Just give me some epic scenes. I'll let my imagination connect all of the dots. I'm having to write a whole book of head canon for this show anyways.

Now I just need to decide on today's popcorn flavor. I'm thinking something spicy. That feels like the right vibe.

and omg yingdu ep 3 my my...VeinFei will stick with me even when yingdu ends. Congratulations to Veinfei shippers really, we won.

I think they have very little time to portray these characters that's why Xia Fei's attitude towards Vein is conveyed pretty clearly and strongly. And for a show like Link Click that builds upon slow burn and intricate character development for a long time, Veinfei actually feels good 😭 episode 3 is by far my favourite yingdu episode. Xia Fei demands special attention from the audience. You could feel it, he is portrayed in that way. He is relatable, he has so many identical Shiguang issues and other struggling characters. Trauma is gonna wreck him soon

(Haoling simping over his thin waist is really making me worry now, it's not a joke anymore, what if he actually dies his waist getting snapped 😭 it will be brutal wtf)
