how would u recommend a beginner get into blender? Ima 2D art student but want to fill out my portfolio and it looks super fun and cool!
Yay I'm so glad you want to learn Blender!
Since you're studying 2D, you probably have a lot to learn and practice already. So I'll try to answer in a way that could benefit you the most in both practices.
You probably already heard Blender has a tool called "grease pencil" - it's a 3d object, but they also built it so that if you want to do regular 2D illustration or animation, you can do that too.
Learning grease pencil first could be a good way to familiarize yourself with Blender's interface. And because a lot of the toolsets share how they operate (for instance, adding modifiers to the stack is the same no matter if you're using a grease pencil object, curve, or 3D mesh), you can more easily move to different parts of the program later, like poly modeling or sculpting.
One really great tutorial for 2D Blender is this one by Kevandram - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZyB30-xZFs
From there you can move into tutorials that combine 3D and 2D - or just start with this if you're really excited to learn 3D modeling. Again Kevandram has a really great tutorial for that - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ftBFjGy5z08
Something you'll wanna watch out for with Blender tutorials is the version they're using. If your version of Blender is newer, then maybe a button or menu a tutorial tells you to use might have moved. Or some functionality may have changed. Luckily since Blender is open source, they make all versions available to you here: https://download.blender.org/release/
Once you get more familiar with Blender, jumping between versions is easier. But for the sake of learning, if you find a really great tutorial that's using an older version, you can just use that version. You can have multiple Blender versions installed - right now I have 4.4, 4.1, 4.0, and 2.79. So for instance in Kevandram's Bakery Shop tutorial, he's using Blender 3.0 which you can get here - https://download.blender.org/release/Blender3.0/
If you're not interested in grease pencil, or just want to jump straight to 3d, this is a great beginner modeling tutorial from SouthernShotty - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C1CFWDWTamo
It mostly sticks to modeling and then gets into basic material stuff. A simplified order to learn things in 3d would be:
Poly/mesh modeling
Modeling with curves
Adding materials/using the shader editor
Unwrapping 3d objects / learning the UV Editor
Texture painting / Painting texture maps (using that unwrapped map from 4) in Blender or some other program (Krita if you want to paint on the 2d map itself. Procreate if you want to paint directly on the model although that'll require a tablet).
A lot of beginner tutorials will take you through steps 1-3 usually, and maybe throw in some basic animation, camera setup, lighting, and rendering. More intermediate/advanced topics would be rigging, animating rigged models, physics simulations, and geometry nodes.
To bring it back to how this could benefit you the most as a 2d artist - something I see a lot of people do is prototype in 3d, and use that 3d render as a base to paint over. Some people strictly use grey boxes, and some people actually model/texture/light certain things and then render that out in layers to use in their painting program later. You can use as much or as little 3d as you want to help 2d painting.
Here's a couple videos showcasing that type of workflow: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CHIZtZ2JU3A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W5GSyytbABo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r5ZyW7K_yP8
Those use Blender's cameras and lights, which you'll pick up as you do modeling/texturing tutorials. Later you can get more advanced with those as well as the different rendering engines within Blender.
This was a lot, but I hope it helps clarify where you can start, and ultimately what you could get out of using 3d!

Cooking Contest>>Hyunjin
It started with spaghetti.
Literally: sugar spaghetti.
Hyunjin had spent the night at home alone and half-heartedly motivated after seeing a five-minute cooking video. He styled his hair up like a pro chef, listened to classical music for ambiance (aka fake Gordon Ramsay energy), and whispered things like "Yes, chef," in the mirror.
He boiled water, added way too many noodles, and sprinkled what he thought was salt confidently.
Spoiler alert: It was sugar.
By the time Y/N got home, the apartment smelled… sweet?
Hyunjin spun around dramatically, ladle in hand, apron on backwards, and a proud smile on his face. “You’re just in time for my debut dish.”
Y/N blinked at the plate he slid across the table. “…Is that dessert?”
“Spaghetti,” he said proudly. “Hyunjin-style.”
They chomped down, expecting death. But somehow… it wasn't awful. It was like someone tried to make dinner but accidentally invented a new food style. It was sweet and salty and… confusing. Like spaghetti in a fever dream.
Y/N laughed so hard they nearly choked. "Alright, alright, I'm signing you up for the neighborhood cooking competition."
"What?!"
"Just for the laughs. Come on, imagine this. You and your sugar noodles on national television."
"Absolutely not—"
He made it through round one.
No one understood how. The judges called his dish "an abstract deconstruction of a childhood memory" and gave him a standing ovation. One of them cried. It was probably the raw onion garnish, but still. He advanced to the next round.
Hyunjin lost it.
He begged Y/N to pull him out, but they just cheered him on, fully invested in the chaos. “You’ve already committed culinary crimes. Finish the job.”
So now—somehow—he was in the finals.
And he still didn’t know how to make rice.
---
Hyunjin stared at the timer ticking down on the big LED screen. Fifteen minutes left.
Around him, the other competitors were moving like a pro—flipping, slicing, searing. He was holding a spoon like a bizarre utensil.
"Chef Hyunjin, what is it that you're making today?" the host said, bursting forth like a kitchen demon.
Hyunjin plastered on a grin. "Oh, yes. A dish from my family. Very mysterious. Much. uh. emotion."
He spun around to his station, which looked like a tornado of food had swept through it. There were three pans on the stove, crackling. He had no clue what was in any of them.
Y/N sat in the audience, trying not to allow out shouts of laughter. Hyunjin shot them a look.
Then came the curse of all quizzes:
"And what kind of rice will be served with your dish?"
Hyunjin flabbergasted. "Rice?
The host nodded. "Yes. We understand you're doing a fusion dish based on rice."
".Right," Hyunjin answered slowly. "Of course. I love rice. Massive fan. Eat it daily.".
He turned to the rice cooker like it had personally wronged him. He’d watched *exactly* one rice tutorial on YouTube and remembered *none* of it. So he pressed random buttons, added some broth (was it beef? who knows), a questionable amount of soy sauce, and—for flair—a slab of butter.
The rice cooker beeped angrily.
Hyunjin pretended it was applause.
“Smoked rice,” he muttered. “We’re getting fancy today.”
---
Ten minutes left.
His rice cooker steamed like a dragon, but he did not care. He added sauce to his unknown meat, sprinkled on a garnish from someone else's table, and used a "rustic" plating style, which literally consisted of making it look somewhat sloppy on purpose.
Time was up.
He stepped back, wiping away simulated sweat and executing a theatrical bow to the judges as if on Broadway. The audience politely clapped. Y/N double-thumbed him up with a "you're doing great sweetie" look.
The judges hesitantly bit down.
Silence.
And then the head judge: "This is… bold."
Another judge nodded. "I don't know what I was expecting. But I wasn't expecting this. And for some reason, I'm alright with that."
"The rice," said the third judge slowly, "is an emotional journey."
Hyunjin blinked. "Wait… do you like it?"
The head judge smiled. "We don't just like it. We love it."
Hyunjin looked like he'd just passed out. "I—what?"
"You've won," the host exclaimed dramatically. "Chef Hyunjin, you are this season's Cooking Champion!"
Y/N screamed.
Hyunjin dropped his ladle.
"…I need to lie down."

hi!! can you share what brushes do you use? i also use rebelle but cannot achieve this beautiful finish.
Tumblr media
Whoa boy, I did a lot of trials and error. I apologize i advance it it gets to technical:
I used a slightly modified version of the default Round 2 watercolor brush, just the pressure sensitivity was adjusted. But I think it's the paper, layer and water setting. I set it to high edge darkening, and set the layer to Multiply or Linear burn. And set the canvas tilt direction(the donut doo-hicky) to face downwards.
I also rely on opacity to for light tones rather than adding white. Hold the ctrl button and stroke upwards or downwards to adjust. I use Multiply and linear burn on the layers since it enhances the paper texture rather than cover it up.
In short I watch traditional watercolor tutorials and try to simulate the work area/working condition of said tut 😅

Aliens use a special digital simulator game to train for wars and combat, often taking months to complete. When humans find the game, they speedrun it.
(A response to a writing prompt)
Ciqoid couldn’t believe what his three eyes were seeing. This was a Hirati simulator, one of the most advanced pieces of technology that their race had ever created, and this human was breezing through it like it was nothing. He again read through the results, only to find they were more impressive than he had first imagined. “Two hours on the flight tutorial. Six hours to complete the Raguth war. That’s impossible. He won a six-year war in six hours.”
After getting over his disbelief, a question popped into Ciqoid’s mind. If the human was still in the simulator, what was he doing? The war was over. What else could he possibly be doing in their state-of-the-art simulator? That should have been the end of his training. Ciqoid placed his fingers suction cups against the scanner, overriding the lock on the simulator’s door. When his suction cups popped off, the door peeled open, revealing Henry slouched, not in the simulation chair, but in a cushioned office chair. In one hand, he had a carbonated beverage, and in the other, his remote. Henry’s visor shining in his face as he continued his training.
“Henry, the simulation’s over. Proceed to your quarters. We will discuss your results later. I’ll need time to process them.” Ciqoid glanced at the display panel across from the human, watching over their current in game activities. Henry’s avatar bouncing up and down in the city square, using that bouncing technique to move three frames faster than his normal walking speeds.
While his choice of movement was odd, his current predicament wasn’t. A lot of people who entered the simulation, ending up getting trapped within it. If you spend weeks or months inside a simulation, you’ll start losing your grip on reality, being unable to figure out what’s real anymore. Though that didn’t make much sense to the alien. How did Henry get a drink if he was trapped inside the simulation?
Henry scratched his ass with the remote before going back to his game, not even acknowledging his alien captain. “Ok, how am I supposed to do this? Resorlia flowers? Harvi chocolates?” He muttered to himself.
Ciqoid sat in the nearest spare simulator seat, placing its visor over his face. As he entered the simulation, he teleported to Henry, using his admin privileges. “Henry, you can leave the simulation. You’ve completed the training we set up for you. You’re dismissed.” He said, tapping their avatar on the shoulder.
“Oh, captain.” Henry jumped, his avatar displaying a ! sign at the contact. “Sorry, sir. I know this is taking a while, but I’m stuck on the main quest.”
“Main quest? Have you not completed the war?” Ciqoid gave a smug smile. That had to be it. The results were all wrong. These humans weren’t beating the war in record times. There was a glitch in the system. That made far more sense.
“The war? Isn’t that the tutorial? Like a playable opening cutscene?”
“No, that’s…. what are you even doing in here if you’ve finished the training? What could you consider a main quest?”
Henry pointed to the Hirati woman sitting by the bird sanctuary in the city square. She watched the alien birds fly around their cage, all decorated in majestic colors that matched all the colors of the rainbow. Henry sighed, looking at the beautiful three eyed alien, unable to take his eyes off her. “That’s the main quest.”
“Officer Nel? The ai we created to congratulate the players on a job well done? The ai modelled after our own ships, ai? That’s your main quest? How have you been in the simulation for this long because of that?”
“Because you can’t rush, love. Everyone knows if you rush in a dating simulator, you’ll lose your chance at love. So, what do you think, captain? Would you prefer flowers or chocolates if someone was confessing their love to you?”
“Flowers. Wait, no. You have work to do, so stop this nonsense and come back to the real world. Ok?” Ciqoid got a notification saying Henry had gifted him some chocolates. Before he could ask what the chocolates were for, Henry had already marched his way over to Nel, handing her the flowers.
The two avatars locked eyes, and heart icons appeared, causing Henry to chant both in real life and in the simulator. “I did it. I won the heart of the beautiful Nel. I’m the greatest. I did the main quest.”
While captain Ciqoid was a stern man, he wasn’t heartless, eating the virtual chocolates while Henry celebrated. Eventually, he kicked Henry from the simulator, meeting him in the real world. “Ok, you're done. Go back to your quarters. We will discuss your results later.”
“Got it, sir.” Henry stood up, having grown a beard from his time in the simulator. He also didn’t have any pants on, which was something Ciqoid’s three eyes wished they hadn’t seen. The captain awkwardly staring at the ceiling, not wanting to see their underwear.
“PUT SOME PANTS ON.”
“Oh, sorry, sir. Wanted to get comfortable while I was playing it. That’s a fun game. You should try it sometime.” Henry said, grabbing his pants as he headed for his quarters.
“I have tried it. Over four hundred times….” Ciqoid was about to head for his quarters, only for the ship’s ai to perk up. While the room usually got a green tint when the ai was speaking, this time it was a flushed pink.
“Captain. Requesting the use of a cybernetic body. A T-model please.” Nel spoke, only for the light to dim when Ciqoid’s face scrunched.
“You were enjoying that, weren’t you?”
“I… can’t say his words weren’t charming, sir.”
“Fine, I’ll authorize it for our next break. Until then, you will continue your professional duties. Is that understood?”
“Perfectly, sir. Thank you. I will be counting down the days until our next break.” With that, the ai returned to its duties, leaving Ciqoid to go over the results in his head.
“How did they end up charming an ai? These humans are such strange creatures.” He said, hoping the next human that used the simulator wouldn’t cause him this much of a headache.

so I decided since I am a fnaf veteran and also planning a fnaf rewrite I give my opinions on the games and such and explain why I like or hate the game.
fnaf 1 2 and 3: the reason why I love these three is because it feels like a perfect trilogy the mystery the intense setting just a chef kiss and yes I agree fnaf 3 isn’t the brightest but I don’t care cause it’s actually my top favorite fnaf game I love the character spring trap a lot he has always been my favorite and the story’s ending fits of how the ghost of the dead children decided to punish their murder by making him go threw what they go threw.
fnaf 4: now I don’t hate this game far from it actually it’s probably the scariest fnaf game I seen and plus the designs of the nightmares are cool! It just I wish it was executed abit better as it does have flaws to the story (like example what did fucking michael expect when he put his brother in the mouth of a animatronic what did he think was gonna happen)
FNAF WORLD: now it maybe not a horror game…but I do enjoy the chibi animatronics and they look adorable I would never play it but I’ll look at the gameplay or art time to time.
Sister location: this game was kinda meh to me and feels wasted potential and it being a prequel just kinda ruins the lore especially since the first game takes place in 1970s…and advance animatronics like that doesn’t make sense and plus I feel like it would have fit a lot better if it was like taken place after the three games and maybe if you wanna make it a prequel make the animatronics less advance and give it the aesthetic of that time period (and don’t make the ballerina animatronic sexualized when she is a animatronic for children (cause you can’t tell me she isn’t sue me-)
pizza simulator: I fucking hate this game cause to me it ruined five nights at Freddy the only good thing was the cool speech Henry gave I already stop being into five nights at Freddy from this cause it ruined it for me the mystery was gone it just felt like they were just milking the franchise now and I don’t get how people like it.
THE FNAF VR AR AND ULTIMATE CUSTOM NIGHT: this is similar to pizza simulator and it sucks cause like this could have been fixed if they were just not canon like fnaf world and just got entertainment.
SECURITY BREACH: this one made me the most disappointed cause I remember when I saw the trailer I was actually very excited and positive about the game and made my theories on the game of what’s gonna happen…but it just turned out as a shitty glitchy game and I will announce as the WORST five nights at Freddy’s games ever made.
it frustrated me how bad it was to like showing the trailers aren’t true to the game amazing voice actors replaced with bad ones (aka vanny) and the only think I like about this game is the animatronics (not their designs their ok but it feels weird to even like them cause they are made by a problematic artist but the idea names etc)
Gregory also feels like a annoying main character like I just want him to just shut up like to me he doesn’t sound like a kid he just sounds like a bad voice actor trying to imitate a child but with a sore throat.
and don’t get me started on Vanessa which could have been a separate character to vanny cause like I hated she turned out to be vanny (and I always found it strange she was the only human security guard I mean…for a big ass fucking place as security breach which is probably the biggest map of any fnaf game your telling me there isn’t more human security guards? Like I’m aware of the security bots but they barely do shit in the game)
it upsetted me when I first saw the game I was so excited for it like how I would have fix it maybe make it like similar to the incident the death of the 5 children make it start as a tutorial where your parents take you to Freddy fazbears with your friends you get a tutorial of how to run climb and such.
and like you meet vanny she tried to kill you and maybe try to make the animatronics interesting since they are taking ai animatronics who actually have feelings and emotions route make them like Trying to fight back their aggressive programming do something to make it interesting! you had the ball In your hands yet you just decided to throw it into a fucking cliff this includes ruin and into the pit which is bad too.
And it sucks cause like I don’t know what is gonna happen now like it feels like five nights at Freddy is the broken shell it once was…
now does this mean you should also hate it no you don’t have to hate any these games if you like them feel free to for me it just feels like fnaf was ruined to me with its books and bad sequels cause like sometimes it feels like Scott didn’t seem to know what he wanted for the game and it feels like he was making it up as he went a lot going with the most craziest and dumbest ideas.
but you can still love fnaf I still like it too but like I am not as much into it anymore (due to the fans being crazy with its ships etc ) although even if I do plan a fnaf rewrite it’s not to spite Scott or any fnaf fans i just wanna do it to reconnect to fnaf when it was at its prime and feel abit of nostalgia.
and despite my hate for how fnaf went but I am glad they still exist cause we got amazing fan made songs and people got into the franchise and not to mention they can be inspiring and also help popularize mascot horror which is one of my favorite type of horror!
now I wish I could explain how I hate it more (but I suck at fucking explaining) although I do highly suggest video which honestly explains the fall way better then I could ever can
youtube
Anyways that’s all please don’t attack me for my opinions and I hope you have a good day or night.

@rad-roche NOIR TIME! Turning my assignment in very late.
Agent Phil Coulson may not be a dame, but he does have a lot or weirdly specific things in common with Nick Valentine!
Tumblr media
Your tutorial post on pulp covers was wonderful! But this was so many kilometres out of my stylistic comfort zone that the entire time was like agh! what the hell am I doing?.?? (And why it’s taken over a week). I found a lovely cover for reference “The Deadly September” on the archive you have linked in the tutorial.
Below is things I had to adapt to achieve a similar effect in Procreate, the reference images I used and, the worlds’s most convoluted speed-paint. (Learning new things is messy!)
⚠️THE SPEED-PAINT FLASHES QUICKLY A LOT !! ⚠️
Also I’ve listed some of the weirdly specific similarities between Coulson and Nick! so SPOILERS for Agents of Shield seasons 1-6 (I haven’t gotten around to watching 7 yet, and agents of shield isn’t MCU canon anymore anyway) and Nick’s story / far harbour in Fallout 4! (Spoilers below the speed-paint)
Procreate edits:
Totally used the back button more than I should have. I think I changed brush at least 3 times and edited the texture layers way more before it got to a point I was even remotely happy with. The brush I ended up settling with was procreate’s “Tarraleah” in the ‘artistic’ category, unaltered.
Procreate does have screen layers so was able to use that as in the tutorial, I set my chosen grunge at 90% opacity after inversion.
The contrast / brightness layer was tricker since that’s not a feature in procreate (??????), after lots of messing around I found that filling a layer with black and setting it to “soft light” mode and 85% opacity brings the paper texture I used away from the overly white tones without messing with the colour too much.
Since procreate doesn’t support per layer colour dropper, I had all of the texture layers in a folder so it can be hidden with one click, though personally I tend to guess the colour I need on the wheel rather than use colour dropper, so hiding the texture wasn’t an issue for me so much.
The colour check layer was also a black filled layer but this was set to colour mode as in the tutorial.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
⚠️THE SPEED-PAINT FLASHES BRIGHTLY AND QUICKLY ⚠️
VVVVVVV SPOILERS FOR AGENTS OF SHIELD 1-6 AND FALLOUT 4 VVVVVVV
NICK VALENTINE AND AGENT COULSON SIMILARITIES (in my opinion):
Good people at heart
Multiple life shattering, personality altering crisis each.
Experimented on against their will by a group with highly advanced technology resulting in their unethical resurrection. Institute for Nick and Fury’s project TAHITI / Guest Host for Coulson.
Consciousness placed into a Synth / Life Model Decoy after their death against their will (LMDs are marvel’s version of synths with all the ‘is it a person’ and ‘the infiltrators are ruining our organisation’ that come with that) both are in highly modified unique Synth/LMD hardware
Both have killed an enemy they have been hunting for years for nothing but revenge, Eddie Winter for Nick and Ward for Coulson. (Though nobody stays dead in agents of shield)
Part of the plot requires entering a simulation with other peoples memories. DiMA’s memories for Nick and the Framework for the shield crew.
A partner that they can’t see because one of them was murdered as collateral damage. Jenny for Nick, and Coulson is the dead one for Audrey (the cellist)
Betrayed at a great personal cost by the organisation they were upholding when the org. Is revealed to be corrupt/evil. Police being in on Winter’s scheme for Nick and shield being hydra for Coulson.
Key Mission requires strapping them into a memory machine and poking around their brains/memories. Nick with kellogg’s memories and Raina’s need of Coulson’s memories from after he died in New York (though Coulson’s is a lot more traumatic on account of him being human at the time and marvel’s memory machine being painful)
Intentional memory loss forced on them by a third party. Nick’s institute knowledge and Coulson’s unawareness of his resurrection by Fury.
So much trauma, they can’t catch a break.

Remote Employee Training Strategies For Success
Tumblr media
In today’s fast-evolving business landscape, the shift towards remote work has become a prominent trend. With this shift, companies are faced with the challenge of maintaining high standards of performance, engagement, and productivity among their remote teams. A crucial part of this is employee training. Effective remote training programs are essential for ensuring that employees are equipped with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed, no matter where they are working from. In this article, we’ll explore several strategies for successful Virtual employee training.
#1 Develop Clear and Structured Training Programs
One of the first steps to ensuring a successful training experience for remote employee is to create a clear and structured program. Unlike in-person training, where employees can ask questions or get immediate feedback, remote training often happens asynchronously. Your training materials should be organized, easy to follow, and concise to make this process as effective as possible.
Break down complex information into manageable modules, use visual aids, and incorporate interactive elements to keep employees engaged. A well-structured training program allows Virtual employees to progress at their own pace while ensuring that the content is comprehensive and easy to understand.
#2 Leverage Technology to Enhance Learning
Tumblr media
Technology is the backbone of remote work and plays a crucial role in Virtual employee training. Using the right tools can make a significant difference in how employees interact with training materials. Video conferencing platforms like Zoom or Microsoft Teams are essential for live training sessions, allowing employees to participate in real-time discussions, ask questions, and receive immediate feedback.
Additionally, learning management systems (LMS) like Moodle or TalentLMS can help organize and track training content. These systems allow for self-paced learning, quizzes, and certifications. Incorporating multimedia elements such as video tutorials, infographics, and interactive simulations can also help employees retain the information better and keep them engaged throughout the training process.
#3 Foster a Culture of Continuous Learning
Virtual training should not be a one-off event; it must be an ongoing process. Virtual employees often face the challenge of isolation and may miss out on spontaneous learning opportunities that arise in a traditional office setting. Therefore, it’s important to create a culture that encourages continuous learning.
This can be achieved by providing regular learning resources, encouraging employees to pursue online courses, and organizing regular webinars or knowledge-sharing sessions. Incentivizing employees to learn new skills, such as offering certifications or rewards for completing training, can also drive engagement and improve long-term retention of knowledge.
#4 Provide Personalized Learning Paths
Tumblr media
Not all employees learn in the same way or at the same pace. A one-size-fits-all approach to training can lead to disengagement or frustration, especially for employees who might already have expertise in certain areas. Personalizing the learning experience is an effective way to meet the individual needs of each employee.
Assess the current skill levels of your remote team members and tailor training programs to match their specific learning requirements. For example, some employees may need more foundational training, while others may benefit from advanced modules. Unlocking Success: Mastering ANSYS Assignments in Mechanical Engineering
Hello, fellow engineering enthusiasts! If you've found your way to this blog, chances are you're navigating the intricate world of Mechanical Engineering, specifically dealing with ANSYS assignments. As someone deeply entrenched in the field, I understand the challenges that students often face when tasked with ANSYS assignments. Fear not; I'm here to guide you through effective strategies that can lead to triumph. Whether you're a newcomer or a seasoned student looking to enhance your skills, mastering ANSYS assignments is crucial for success in the dynamic realm of Mechanical Engineering. So, let's dive in and explore how to conquer these challenges and complete your ANSYS assignment with confidence.
Understanding the Basics
Before we delve into advanced strategies, it's crucial to establish a solid foundation in ANSYS. The software is a powerful tool used for simulation and analysis in various engineering disciplines. To complete my ANSYS assignment successfully, I always start by revisiting the basics. Understanding the software's interface, features, and capabilities is fundamental. ANSYS offers a plethora of resources, including tutorials, documentation, and forums, which can be immensely helpful in grasping the essentials. Don't underestimate the value of a strong foundational knowledge—it's the key to tackling complex assignments with ease.
Stay Updated with the Latest Versions
As an expert in Mechanical Engineering, I cannot emphasize enough the importance of staying abreast of the latest developments in ANSYS software. Regular updates often introduce new features, enhancements, and bug fixes that can significantly impact your workflow. To ensure you are maximizing the potential of ANSYS in your assignments, make it a habit to check for updates and explore the new functionalities. This proactive approach not only keeps you informed but also demonstrates a commitment to continuous learning—a trait highly valued in the engineering industry.
Utilize Online Resources and Communities
One of the most valuable assets at your disposal is the vast network of online resources and communities dedicated to ANSYS users. When aiming to complete my ANSYS assignment, I often turn to forums, blogs, and discussion groups. Platforms like the ANSYS Student Community and various engineering forums host a wealth of information, ranging from troubleshooting tips to in-depth discussions on specific simulation techniques. Engaging with these communities not only broadens your knowledge but also provides a platform to seek guidance when faced with challenges.
Effective Time Management
Completing ANSYS assignments requires a strategic approach to time management. Procrastination is the nemesis of productivity, especially when dealing with complex simulations and analyses. To ensure success, create a realistic schedule that allocates sufficient time for each phase of the assignment—from understanding the problem statement to presenting the results. Break down the task into manageable chunks, setting milestones to track your progress. This systematic approach not only enhances your efficiency but also reduces the stress associated with looming deadlines.
Hands-On Practice
The adage "practice makes perfect" holds true in the realm of ANSYS assignments. No amount of theoretical knowledge can substitute for hands-on experience with the software. Dedicate time to practical exercises and small-scale simulations to reinforce your understanding of ANSYS functionalities. Experiment with different features, boundary conditions, and material properties to gain a deeper insight into their effects on simulation outcomes. This practical experience not only hones your skills but also boosts your confidence when tackling more complex assignments.
Seek Guidance from Mentors and Peers
In the journey to complete my ANSYS assignment successfully, I've found immense value in seeking guidance from mentors and collaborating with peers. Establishing a mentor-student relationship with a faculty member or industry professional provides a unique opportunity to gain insights from real-world applications. Additionally, collaborating with classmates on assignments fosters a collaborative learning environment. Pay attention to formatting, labeling, and presenting data in a visually appealing manner. Remember, your ability to convey complex engineering concepts in a comprehensible way adds significant value to your work.
Stay Persistent and Embrace Challenges
The path to success in mastering ANSYS assignments is not without its challenges. There will be moments of frustration, setbacks, and seemingly insurmountable obstacles. However, it's essential to stay persistent and view challenges as opportunities for growth. Each roadblock presents a chance to enhance your problem-solving skills and deepen your understanding of the software. Embrace challenges with a positive mindset, knowing that overcoming them will only strengthen your expertise in Mechanical Engineering and ANSYS.
Conclusion
In conclusion, mastering ANSYS assignments in Mechanical Engineering is a rewarding journey that demands a combination of foundational knowledge, practical experience, and effective strategies. From understanding the basics and staying updated with software advancements to utilizing online resources and embracing challenges, the key lies in a holistic approach to learning and application. As you embark on your quest to complete your ANSYS assignment successfully, remember that every simulation and analysis is a stepping stone toward becoming a proficient engineer. So, dive in, explore, and conquer the world of ANSYS with confidence and enthusiasm. Your success awaits!

Play Report: Tacticians of Ahm #1
Tumblr media
Tonight, I ran a playtest of the first portion of an upcoming starter Tacticians of Ahm adventure I'm hoping to get out in the February update. So, here's a play report!
In their final semester at the Academy and after months of training and studying, the Tacticians begin their final exams: 2 weeks of field exercises held in the regions surrounding the Academy.
Joined by their advisor Professor Dekkin Von Lopesbane, an aging and boisterous hippofolk professor (and graduate of the First Class of Tacticians) led Quablin, a Blobish Mage and Helios, the Flame-Touched Cleric of Solara, through their trials.
First, they were put in a equal footing fight against several Imperial Army troops who had traveled from the White-Walled City of Ahm as part of an annual rivalry contest between the groups. The Tacticians pride themselves on winning (more often than not).
Tumblr media
Over 4 Rounds, Helios and Quablin managed to take out the soldiers, 1 Archer and 1 Spearman (both EL1 enemies), but Helios was nearly brought down and Quablin was tapped out of good combat options by the end. A challenging fight, especially with no healing abilities between the two of them.
The duo took 1 XP for the successful battle, but had fought rather disjointed and did not receive any RP for teamwork during the fight. The two were definitely an odd, not completely happy with one another duo at this point, with various barbs being thrown by Helios especially during the fight.
Next, Von Lopesbane brought the group to Penelope Thunderberry, a broad and muscular dwarven woman and one of the Academy's esteemed Beastmasters, who summoned a number of wolves for the two of them and other groups of nearby Tacticians to fight in a simulated nighttime attack.
Tumblr media
Over 2 high damage Rounds, Helios and Quablin took out the Wolf (EL2) but only through smart use of their shields, clever backstabs, and an ideal Stupor by Quablin. Otherwise, either would have been taken out in a single hit given the wolf's penchant for backstabs due to its high speed.
The duo took their 2nd point of XP and advanced to Level 2. They also took 1 RP due to their Stupor and spear Backstab combo that greatly shifted the fight in their favor. After the first battle's barbs, this time the duo learned to play to each other's strengths as varied as they may be.
As the advisors were bringing out a midday lunch spread, a pair of huge Griffins (EL5) swooped down, attempting to feed off the field full of students and professors. Chaos broke out and Von Lopesbane, with a mouthful of melon, was hauled up by one griffin and carried off, towards the northern horizon!
Next session: The Search For Dekking Von Lopesbane!
[GM/Designer Notes: This adventure is intended to act as a tutorial for, first, the combat and then, second, exploration, interacting with the world and NPCs, and more intense combat which will be coming in the next session(s). The battles here were crafted in line with the equivalent EL to CL guidance using rules as currently written but were varied by equal combatants in the first and one very strong (comparatively to the Tacticians) combatant but with the Tacticians having a numbers advantage. I definitely took a solid handful of notes for new areas to tweak and clarify the rules to help dodge some confusing situations.]
Tacticians of Ahm is itchfunding now! You can get the early access rulebook used to create and run this adventure at its lowest price and get all upcoming monthly updates as the game grows into its final form

How Stock Market Trading Becomes Easier with Practice: A Focus on Selling Options
Stock market trading often seems daunting to newcomers, with its complex charts, unpredictable movements, and a plethora of strategies. However, with consistent practice and the right approach, trading can become a much more manageable and even profitable venture. One effective strategy that simplifies the trading process is selling options.
Understanding Options Trading
Options are financial instruments that give the buyer the right, but not the obligation, to buy or sell an underlying asset at a predetermined price before or at the expiry date. While buying options can be risky, selling options offers a more controlled and potentially profitable approach.
Why Selling Options is Beneficial
Income Generation: Selling options, especially covered calls and cash-secured puts, can generate consistent income. By selling these options, traders earn a premium, providing an immediate return on investment.
Lower Risk: Selling options can be less risky compared to buying them. With strategies like covered calls, the trader owns the underlying stock, which provides a cushion against adverse price movements.
Flexibility: Selling options offers flexibility in terms of strategy. Traders can use various techniques such as covered calls, cash-secured puts, and iron condors to adapt to different market conditions.
Improved Probability of Profit: When you sell options, especially out-of-the-money options, the probability of the options expiring worthless (which is beneficial for the seller) is higher. This increases the chance of earning a profit.
Practicing Options Selling
Just like any other skill, mastering options trading requires practice. Here are some steps to get started:
Education: Begin with a solid understanding of options trading. Numerous resources, courses, and tutorials are available online to help you grasp the basics and advanced concepts.
Paper Trading: Before risking real money, practice with paper trading. This allows you to test strategies in a simulated environment without any financial risk.
Start Small: When transitioning to live trading, start with small positions. This minimizes risk while allowing you to gain practical experience.
Track Your Performance: Maintain a trading journal to track your trades, strategies, and outcomes. Analyzing your performance helps in refining your approach and identifying what works best for you.
