Truth is, I don’t really have an “end” set for Aiden, I don’t know how he will die.

But be it of old age, sickness or a hero’s death, the bad news is that yes, Aiden’s friends and Henry will outlive him either way.

After all, they are very long-lived. And though Aiden is half fae, that doesn’t mean he inherited their longevity. He is still mortal.

The good news however is that due to his power and him spending much time in the faerie realm, his lifespan is a little more stretched than that of a normal person, so he might get to live a few years longer (given he dies of old age).

Yet for a fae, the life of a mortal feels way too short, especially if you care about that person. Aiden isn’t scared of dying, but he feels bad for the people he will leave behind.

I think you might really feel like Ákos after I told you this. Sorry for that!

He would try to pull you back into the cat but your hand would just slip from his grasp

His face goes pale when he sees you get impaled by the tree and screams your name

He yells and cusses and Ashlyn to go back

The poor boy starts hyperventilating he’s sobbing and just hoping you will be okay when they get to the normal world

Everyone looks at him with a sympathetic look and he just looks away from everyone

He has tears going down his face but his face was more pissed then sad (probably at Ashlyn)

Everyone shoots awake and quickly look your direction. The scene was not pleasant to look at, your pupils were big, your whole body was shaking as if you were having a seizure and you weren’t responding to anyone. “Mom!!” Taylor yells as Tyler rolls you on your side and rubs your back; “Shit.. Y/N, you’re okay.. we’re here..” He whispers when suddenly he gets pushed away by Ashlyns dad who lifts you up, running from the old school bus and runs to his car.

Everyone goes to the hospital with you, along with Tylers parents and Ashlyns too. Some stayed behind, knowing they would just be in the way but made sure to tell them they wanted updates on you.

The moment you could have visitors Tyler freezed. His thoughts clouded up in his mind, the regret becoming worse and worse by the second. He went in after everyone left, wanting to speak to you privately and didn’t want anyone to bother you. He saw your weak figure sitting on the hospital bed, looking into quite literally nothing, clearly you were caught up in your thoughts as well, but you soon snapped out of it as Tyler closed the door behind him. You look at him and get out of bed, running over to him and pull him into a bone crushing hug; “Hey, hey hermosa, be careful.” He says and lifts you up bridal style and lays you back into the bed, careful not to mess with wires and IVs that were hooked up to you. He lets you hold onto him, rubbing your back and kissing your forehead, just being there for you. You stay like that for a few minutes, you were thinking about what you should even say to him. Both of you were traumatized, you were impaled by a tree and he tried to save you but failed.

“Are you.. okay?” You ask, your voice barely above a whisper as you look up at his face. His eyes were red snd he looked like he would pass out from exhaustion any minute. “I should be the one asking you that.” He says and you smile weakly; “As okay I can be after getting impaled by a tree.” You joke and he chuckles, ruffling up your hair; “Hey, don’t joke about that.” He says and kisses your cheek, laying down next to you and wrapping his arms around your waist. He lays his head between your thighs and you play with his hair, too tired to care about anything that was happening. Your mind starts to wander and you look down at him; “Hey, Ty?” He hums, waiting for you to continue and shifts slightly; “Do you.. do you think you’ll ever find me.. You know.. bavk there in that place? It seemed like you guys drove pretty far.” You say and quickly shut up when he sits up and had a “are you serious?” look on his face. “Y/N, don’t you dare think like that, we will find you and help you. You got that?” He says and cups your cheek bringing your soft lips to his.

You pull away and he looks at you with a love struck gaze; “I couldn’t bear the thought of loosing you, in this universe, or in the thousand other ones.” You raise a brow and give him a mischievous smile; “How do you know we’re together in every universe?” He chuckles and leans in towards your ear; “Because were made for each other, like the moon and the sun.”

He would hear Ashlyn screaming your name, everyone already under something while the ceiling was about to collapse

Aiden wanted to run to get you but Ben stopped him, knowing that wouldn’t end well if he also went under the collapsing ceiling

His whole “happy” aura changed and he starts sobbing, Ben having to keep him in place so he doesn’t die

Praying you would be okay

Instantly looks away as he sees your body in the rubble, bloody and your head having a big gash in it

He runs over to you and brings you under a table, hugging you close and mumbling incoherent things into your ear

He wouldn’t know how to comfort you in words

He would just freeze and the boy that was usually yapping your ear of would be quiet

The moment you wake up your whole body starts shaking and your pupils get ten times their size. You wheeze, cough and try go catch your breath, gripping your chest and your pupils go back to normal. You looked shaken up and so did everyone else, the adults ‘yelling’ at each other whether they should take you to the hospital or not. “I.. I’m.. m’fine..” You say between coughs, your voice raspy and barely above a whisper.

“I don’t.. need.. to go..” You have another coughing fit and your eyes get a bit teary from all the coughing. You sit up and look up at the adults pushing them away; “I don’t need the hospital..” You being your knees to your chest and stay quiet, an awkward silence engulfing the room. “Y/N..” You hear your name being called and you look up to see Aiden crouching in front of you, his usual smile no where to be seen. You smile weakly at him; “Hey, you okay?” You ask and he frowns slightly pulling you into an embrace. You pat his back and breathe in his scent, your shoulder relaxing.

You felt safe and your heart beat started to calm down, along with your breath getting more steady. “I’m sorry I couldn’t save you..” He says, his voice shaky and genuinely concerned for you. You smile weaky and pinch his cheek; “Come on, I’m here right? That’s what matters.” He smiles softly at you and you kiss his cheek; “There’s the smile I love so much.” He chuckles and you go back to listening to the rest of the group, parents suggesting you get some well deserved rest. The group all decide to sleep together, everyone someone cuddles up together. But the only person you had on mind was Aiden, who was holding you close to his chest and whispering sweet nothings into your ear. You smile, finally getting a good nights rest.

You don’t know how you even ended up here in this situation…. Restless sleep, insomnia, hallucinations,— Ah… Who am I kidding? You knew exactly what was happening and it all started way back when you were ordered to tutor around the new students. Being the one who wasn’t new, it was hard to keep a conversation with them because….. One would keep her distance away, one would be thrilled to nag the girl who distanced away, the twins didn’t give a damn, and… Ben and Logan were probably the only ones who ever offered to listen to you.

However despite those hours you eventually got to bond with them, all because of… Well…. You tripping down the stairs all of the sudden until Ashlyn caught you. And that’s where the spark happened… That’s what clicked in Ashlyn’s mind to suddenly want to protect you, with you in her arms looking hopeless and defenseless. The group claimed you as their pink princess but, you didn’t thought much of it….

And why they even bother to call you that, you still felt loved at least by your friends.

But… Every time you walk home after hanging out with them, especially on that trip, your hands wouldn’t stop shaking. The thought of that hideous creature behind Ashlyn…. You haven’t left your house since then, and gave excuses to your teacher even for him to understand.

You’ve never felt anything weird like this before… The ones you are looking to avoid were mostly creepy men, or just in general a group of people who you think could possibly bully you, or take advantage.

So why? Why did you suddenly have to endure horror?

You’ve impaled yourself on accident by trying to get away from a monster, you’ve tripped and fallen into a dark void where you died by the fall, you even somehow died by trying to save Tyler, but you ended up dying anyways! It was getting so… So much harder…

You’ve gotten injured. Over, and over, and over again. It’s pissing Ashlyn, Aiden, Tyler— everyone off. It was as if they saw life flash before their eyes…. And while you’re alive in the real world, with no scratches or injuries, they couldn’t afford to lose you again. To make you hopeless, to make you unable to walk.

It was another dream, another dream where suddenly you’re locked in the bird cage Aiden had somehow decided to buy… You stared confused, yearning for an explanation…. But the boys and girls wouldn’t give you any.

❝Guys..? Please… I thought we were a team..❞

❝Princess… We are! We swear…! Please don’t take it badly! We’re doing this for your own good…❞

You couldn’t really argue with them. You’re just tired and you have been unable to get proper sleep… You suppose it’s okay but… It wasn’t getting better as you thought it would. Despite dreams having you only locked up every now and then, in the morning in reality- you are FOLLOWED constantly by either the twins, Ashlyn, Aiden, or Ben… Logan? Probably cameras in your house (not your bedroom or bathroom) to ensure you made it home safely.

It’s getting out of hand. It’s going bizarre, but are you doing something about it? NO! Their parents scares you! You don’t want to break your friendship either… You knew how easily broken they’d be… And… You don’t want to handle or deal with Aiden’s family, nor do you wanna karate with Ashlyn’s mother. You can’t even fight!

So the only thing you could do was just… Accept it as it is. And let it be… Although you probably aren’t aware that the parents adores you, finding you so sweet and matchable for their little children. You don’t pay attention to that, all you could focus on were your eyebags and your injured body…. There wasn’t anything, reality-wise, but God it stung that you could barely make it through school. Even though I kind of said you give excuses…. You still had to do exams for at least collage….

Don’t take them wrong, they’d love for you to stay safe and to not join the horror attraction… But also, after the reveal when the parents could also see the demonic creatures, it instantly clicks that you weren’t safe. Nor were your parents. (Don’t give a damn about your parents, they don’t like them)

They need you. They constantly need you. They can’t have you out of your cage, but they can’t have you out of the dreams as well…. Which considers leading it to having you as some sort of a motivation. They need you to support them for everything they do.

So when the parents are going into that situation, it’s best to believe they NEED you with them so nobody in reality can kidnap you while they’re asleep…. Fighting off monsters, you know?

And the shady guys? Do not worry a single thing about them at all.

I mean, what more could you possibly do than to be stuck in your own bedroom or classroom? You’re going nowhere near the stores or arcade. Not after that Logan incident, that is….

Random SBG AU where every time one of the kids dies in the shadow dimension, the number of hours they're stuck there decreases.

It starts at six hours, one hour for each of the kids and when Tyler is impaled by the tree and dies, an hour is shaved off. After spending hours searching for Tyler with no luck, they find a place to rest and then Taylor asks Logan how much time was left, only to be cut off by the sudden shift back to the real world. Logan was sure there was still another hour left, given how he periodically checked it to make sure it was running correctly but then they were all too caught up in worrying about Tyler for him to think about the implications of potentially losing an hour of time in the shadow dimension for unknown

Then Aiden dies and another hour is shaved off and they're down to four hours. This time they've noticed it, especially when they've lost two whole hours. Ben notes how much shorter the duration of the shift felt this time and Logan brings up his suspicions.

What were the side effects of two of them dying? What would happen if ALL of them died? Would they be freed? Or would they be doomed to spend the rest of their lives running away from these creatures with no hope for freedom?

you felt taylor’s grip tighten on your hand “nothing?” she looked at you, clear worry in her eyes “every night we deal with creatures.” she inhaled shakily “and no matter how much courage we have to get through them, no matter how much i tell myself that everything will be okay because we have eachother—“

she was close to tearing up as her voice broke, you quickly cut her off and covered her mouth before staring at her intensely “we have no time to cry.” you harshly replied. you took a deep breath “everything you are thinking may be true but we have no time to let those emotions show right now.” you took your hand off of her mouth as she took a deep breath, stopping herself from crying “let’s go.” you stood up from the seat, walking away as she followed you silently.

imagine, if you will, a sbg fantasy au

I don't know if anyone's done this yet but here we go! I'm a huge fantasy nerd, so I might be biased here, but I think sbg in a fantasy setting would go hard. now you could really throw in any ships, but personally, I built this idea around Tyden and Taylyn

so consider this:

(fair warning, this got a lot longer than I thought it would, I kinda ran with it)

Tyler and Taylor are the prince and princess of the kingdom, but they've essentially been running the country since they became teenagers what with their father having passed away and their mother being unfit to rule due to her mental state after her husband's passing. After their father died, Tyler still takes on the role of caretaker of sorts. Sometimes he even has a habit of burning himself out, Taylor and Ashlyn have to remind him often that it's okay to take a break. Ashlyn actually pulled him to the side one night and practically forced him to let Taylor start taking on more responsibilities, just so that he wouldn't fall under the weight of the kingdom.

On the subject of Ashlyn, her parents served in the king and queen's royal guard, and she even followed in her parent's footsteps. Considering both her lineage and the fact that she basically grew up with Tyler and Taylor, she winds up becoming the personal guard of the prince and princess(the twins) and the acting captain of the royal guard once she's deemed ready (which considering it's Ashlyn, is relatively quick). When it comes to her hearing, she'd definitely have some sort of wool or something put in her helmet to help muffle any loud noises. But her hearing also makes her a perfect guard, even allowing her to keep surveillance a fair distance away.

Eventually, it comes a time when the advisers decide that Tyler is of an age that he needs to find a suitor. The twins manage to fight it for as long as they can but when they turn 19, there's no getting around it. This would be around the time that Aiden and Ben show up, though for an unrelated reason.

See, Aiden is a prince himself, and Ben is a nobleman(title unknown) with close blood relation to the throne as well. Aiden isn't exactly all that into being a prince though, he'd rather go out, have fun, and be an adventurer (which is exactly what he's doing in the twin's kingdom) Ben is there to make sure Aiden doesn't get himself killed or cause any trouble with any foreign powers (friendly or otherwise).

As for Logan, well, his knack for astrology isn't going to waste, that's for sure. See, he's the apprentice of the kingdom's Royal Astronomer. And he absolutely loves it. Not only does he get to study the stars and be able to help support his grandparents, who would still run a flower shop in the capital's town square

Now of course rumors floating around the castle staff that Taylor has a secret love. Granted they can never catch a glimpse of the mystery suitor, (thanks to Ashlyn's super hearing) but the kitchen staff has it on good authority that it's someone from the royal guard. (Ashlyn and Taylor likely would have kept their relationship on the down-low for a bit in the beginning, but would eventually take it public, I mean, who's gonna stop them? the twins run the country, and of course, their mom just wants them to be happy and maybe give her a grandkid or two if either of them wants to have any)

That being said, the idea of little secret late-night rendevous where they wander the castle grounds talking and maybe wind up stargazing in the gardens is too good to pass up (They may not know as much about astronomy as say Logan, but they would definitely make up their own constellations and stories to go with them)

As for our other pair: Naturally, Tyler has a very strong opinion of Aiden. He's not exactly princely, and he does NOT like the fact his attitude when it comes to the politics of being in a royal family. But at the same time, this not-so-princely prince isn't like any other noble or royal he's ever met. He's intrigued. Deep down, there's a part of Tyler that wants to know more about Aiden and the world that he's gotten to explore and adventure through.

In the end, Aiden may or may not be the one who manages to get Tyler to enjoy his youth while he can, convincing him that the weight of the world doesn't have to fall on his shoulders alone. And Tyler may or may not have found himself a suitor in the process.

A sequel, possibly just a short little joy, for catch a wolf by his tail (pirate Aiden au) after they get back to the wolves. And someone like “him pirate, not trustworthy”

And lambert is like “he *died* for her…”

And aiden being helpful, clears throat “actually I died for you, Wolf.”

Lambert: *embarrassed grumbling*

Voltehre or any of Lambert’s brothers immediately see teasing potential and are like “we keep pirate!”

As Callan passed him on his way out of the room, a faint yet familiar scent washed over Aiden and with it came a memory.

“This scent…” He closed his eyes. Yes, he knew this scent from somewhere. He remembered it clearly.

The other man stopped in the doorway. “A perfume,” he said without looking back at Aiden.

Quietly, he added. “The one my husband used. To remind me of him. It’s cedar wood.”

“Yeah,” Aiden mumbled, smiling to himself.

“His bed used to smell like it, too. When he was away, I sometimes slept in it because I missed him so much.”

That made the other man turn around to him, eyes wide. Aiden didn’t even notice, too caught up in his newfound memory.

He pulled out his necklace from under his shirt and started fumbling with the pendant, a habit he couldn’t quite break.

“I missed both of you,” he continued, more to himself than to Callan, but loud enough for the other to hear.

“I always wanted to come with you. To spend the summer here, in Paris. Together.”

Aiden is the son of a chief/king? He wants to grow up and be as revered as his father. His friend of childhood is from a rival place and his name is Dante.

Aiden is trans and his dad doesnt really have faith but thanks to his mom and Frank (who he meets as a kid) he gets trained up and finally accepted in to the army.

Aiden and Dante find out their homes are at war and are like “nooo dont fight haha” and their parents are like “yea? Political marriage” and theyre like “shit”

So they become engaged, Dante has a small crush on Aiden so hes not that mad, Aiden doesnt want it. Their parents still plan to fight but in a backstab way.

Dad needs a right hand man, doesnt choose Aiden, chooses his rival but soon to be best friend (I dont have a name yet for them).

They go to war, Aidens dad tells him “lol go kill Dante while I kill the dad” Aiden gets told by deity same thing. To kill Dante or blood will be shed from his home. Aiden is about to, cant go through with it. Dante doesnt know.

They still win the battle, marriage is obviously called off. Aidens dad gets help from a witch to head home while Aiden meets Barnaby and gets help handling the witch (her name is Willow).

Dad and Frank get into an argument lmao. Frank is like “I pseudo raised your kid” and dad is like “nuh uh” dad does NOT know hes arguing with a deity. Aiden adult at this point.

Aiden meets Wally. Wally meets his parents and they bond a bit before he leaves after I think a week? Month? Dont remember. Aiden is big sad, bro misses him even tho he almost killed him.

Mom proud of the warrior Aiden became.

Another battle at war. Aiden is finally given the chance to lead a team. Blinds Dantes brother who is a tyrant. Frank and Aiden argue about leaving the guy alive.

Aiden meets Cloud god (lmao)

Dantes dad kills Aidens dad. Best friend saves the remaining crew by getting them tf out of there. They also found out Dantes brother was also killed but Aiden doesnt know if that was his fault.

Aiden meets Mathew after going through Eddies sacred lands or spirits and memory. Finds out mom died too. Aiden says fuck it Im going to be brutal with everyone.

Kills Dantes dad.

Taking care of Camila , his lil sis, and meets Wally again. Lovey lovey again.

Frank is like “bro nah thats a god youre a mortal” Aiden is like “you right” and tries to break up with Wally but Wally is like “Wait no, fuck the rules” and Aiden is like “…touché”

Aiden proposes, they marry

Maybe a kid? Debating.

Dante has a kid.

Dante sends assassins, Aiden kills them. Brutal with his opponents. Sacrifices his men. Goes through mutiny. Howdy like “lol death to your crew”. Best friend dies but also finds out that friend is who killed Dantes blinded brother which led to Aidens dads death.

Aiden tries to break off with Wally again because of everything hes been through he doesnt want that for Wally. Wally is like “Calm down—“

Lovey lovey

Dante has a dream of killing Aiden. Gets his crew for a strike.

Kills Aiden. Aiden says goodbye to his sister as shes taken away to safety as his home burns.

Wally grieving when he finds out

Kills Dante

Camila (adult now) comes back and calms Wally down. Befriends him.

Camila dies of old age.

Wally is learning to deal with grief.

Meets Aiden again as reincarnation.

Continues to love him through reincarnation and reincarnation.

Eventually gives up his divinity to live as mortal with Aiden.

Lambert woke up feeling like something had died in his mouth while its little friends were busy burrowing through his skull and using his brain as a trampoline.

He cursed as he pulled himself upright, the smell of bacon coming from downstairs making him feel both hungry and nauseous as he realised he was still in last night’s jeans and t-shirt. What the hell had he gotten up to?

His head hurt even more as he tried to remember. He had vague recollections of someone’s lips on his, another tongue in his mouth, another body pressed against his and pulling him closer in some dark corner of the club – all the evidence was suggesting he hadn’t bought them home with him this time though (he was never one for getting down and dirty in alleyways or club bathrooms). He shrugged internally, at least he apparently still got some action last night, even if it was just a bit of necking.

Lambert heard Geralt snoring away in the guest room before he staggered past a blanket covered lump on the couch that could only be a still sleeping Eskel and into the kitchen to find his housemate and best friend (and secret crush), Aiden sat at the wobbly table, sweater hood pulled up and looking about as miserable as Lambert felt. Jaskier, his brother Geralt’s occasional fuck buddy, was dancing and singing at the stove, covered in hickies and looking fresh as a daisy as he tried to avoid the grease the bacon was spitting at him from the pan (Lambert wanted to know exactly who the other man had sold his soul to that he never got hangovers. He suspected Yenn).

“Good morning, Lovely!” Jaskier called out, “Fresh bacon’s almost done and there’s coffee in the pot.

Lambert grunted his thanks as he filled a mug and took his usual spot next to Aiden, rather than give him the usual conspiratorial grin and eye roll over Jaskier’s antics, the other pointedly looked away, stabbing and playing with the remains of his own breakfast on the plate in front of him.

Lambert tried to chalk it up to Aiden just feeling shit too – whether through over indulging the previous night or from his old head injury acting up again - but after the third attempt at trying to engage him in conversation it was starting to become crystal clear the other was ignoring him.

“It’s a shame you left early, Aiden. You missed out on the hilarity that was Eskel trying to chat up a cardboard cut-out.” Jaskier sighed, sliding a plate of bacon in front of Lambert as he took one of the free seats, resting his coffee on a bent knee, “Speaking of though. Correct me if I’m wrong but,” He got that look on his face he always wore when he sensed good gossip and waved a finger between the two of them, “Did you two…”

“Kiss? Depends on what you call a kiss. Personally, being body-slammed into a wall then violently made out with isn’t a kiss.”

Aiden got up from the table while Lambert choked on his bacon. Fuck, no wonder Aiden was giving him the cold shoulder this morning! But wait…Aiden had reciprocated, right (Lambert would be wearing the evidence on his face if he’d overstepped. He’d personally cheered over witnessing Aiden break the nose of more than one creep). So why exactly was he mad?

He threw a confused look at Jaskier, who wisely took a large gulp of coffee and said nothing.

He found Aiden outside in the yard, hood still up against the light rain and the dregs of a joint in hand as he stared at nothing in particular. Lambert hadn’t been completely off about the head injury then - the result of a serious case of mistaken identity years ago.

“Look, I get it if you’re mad about last night-”

“I’m not mad, Lambert.” Aiden sighed, the first words he’d spoken to him all morning, “Right now, I’m feeling kind of sorry for your past hookups. That wasn’t a kiss, that was a mauling.”

“Well, I’ve never had any complaints before.”

“Well, maybe I just have higher standards than your usual Jonny Six-Shots.”

“Didn’t stop you from sticking your tongue in my mouth.” Lambert snapped, too hungover for whatever game this was, “So what the fuck do you call a kiss then if you’re such a god damn connoisseur?” Aiden’s mouth was pressed into a thin line as he avoided his eye, “No, no. Why so silent suddenly? C’mon. Show me.”

“I don’t want to.”

“Fucking charming.”

“I don’t want to, because I like you too much.” Aiden told his shoes.

Now it was Lambert’s turn to fall silent.

Aiden gave a sad smile as he crossed his arms over his chest, “I thought last night when you kissed me, maybe you...but then I realised how drunk you were and for Christ’s sake, you’ve thrown yourself at Jaskier before he and Geralt were a thing when you’ve had too much.”

“Jaskier was a one time thing, and a mistake.”

“Exactly.” Aiden arms had migrated so they were now wrapped around his torso in a semblance of a hug as he looked up at Lambert, “So was the guy before him, and the guy before him. I’m not going to be considered another mistake, nor do I want to be kissing you just to prove a point. And you’re an asshole if you decide to push that now you know how I feel.”

Lambert felt like he’d just taken a sucker punch to the chest as all the air left his body.

“Aiden, I didn’t-”

“It’s fine. Forget it, I’ll get over it. I’m going back to bed, migraine. Say bye to the others for me when they leave.”

“Its fine. Forget it.”

Except it wasn’t and Lambert couldn’t. He stayed glued to the armchair he’d been sat in since his brothers had left mid afternoon, not caring that it was now growing dark. He was more concerned with this morning’s little revelation. Since when had Aiden liked him too??

His stomach rumbling gave him an idea and he reheated and plated up some leftovers for Aiden. The movement from his room let Lambert know that he hadn’t been asleep for a few hours now but still felt like he needed to avoid him. That was fine (it wasn’t) but pesky emotions aside, he still needed to eat. Maybe Lambert could say what he wanted before Aiden slammed the door in his face, assuming he’d open the door in the first place.

A shirtless Aiden opened his door before Lambert had even raised a hand to knock, jerking in surprise as he dropped his armful of clean pajamas and almost upending Lambert’s offering of yesterday’s Chinese food.

“I was just going to grab a shower.” He mumbled to the empty space over Lambert’s shoulder.

“Can we talk first, please?” Lambert held the plate up slightly higher, “I bought noodles?” it had the desired effect and Aiden made a little noise through his nose that may have been a laugh before stepping aside and letting Lambert in. He hovered awkwardly, despite having been in the others space too many times to count it suddenly felt like there unspoken rules about where he couldn’t sit, what he couldn’t touch. He settled on placing the plate on Aiden’s desk before turning to face him. It didn’t escape his notice that Aiden was still stood by the open door.

“I can go if I’m making you uncomfortable”.

“No it, it’s fine. What did you want to talk about?”

As if that wasn’t glaringly obvious, but it looked like Aiden was treading water here too. Fuck it, if this went wrong they’d drown together at least.

“You didn’t let me finish what I was going to say. Out in the yard.”

Aiden suddenly looked wary, “Lambert-”

“Aiden, please. You said we could talk so, let me talk?”

Aiden nodded but he didn’t look the least bit happy about it.

“I was going to say, I didn’t know you felt like that. About me, and...I like you too much too.”

Aiden made a noise like he’d been hit, “Please don’t joke about that, or just tell me what you think I want to hear.”

“I’m really not. I’ve liked you since we were out celebrating your twenty first and you beat the shit out of that guy twice your size. I thought it was a passing thing and it would go ‘cos that was hot as fuck but. It didn’t.”

Aiden moved further into the room, “Lambert, that was six years ago.”

Lambert threw him a ‘no shit’ look, “I’m aware. Believe me. All those guys at bars, they were great at the time but they were always going to be mistakes come morning because they weren’t you. And then I totally had to go and balls it up by making you feel like...you know.”

He glanced away, taking a moment to concentrate on the colours of one of Aiden’s random knick-knacks before continuing, “But now. I’m sober, I know how you feel, and I would really like to know what you consider a kiss. A proper one.”

“I mean, you’re halfway there already.” Aiden remarked, coming even closer.

“And the other half?”

As Aiden pressed their mouths together Lambert decided he was totally Justified in his ‘mauling’ verdict earlier. He didn’t think he’d had a kiss this chaste since he was a teenager still figuring stuff out but that didn’t take away from the intensity. Hands stayed firmly around waists rather than wandering over backs and groping asses, when Aiden finally deepened it there was no biting teeth or aggressive tongues, only languid strokes as they played rather than chased.

Chaste or not, the need to breathe was still an issue and they parted slowly, breathing only slightly heavier than normal rather than the heaving chests Lambert had come to expect.

“I still need to take that shower.” Aiden muttered, Lambert nodding dumbly as the other stepped away, “Want to join me?”

He didn’t need to be asked twice. He was very much already looking forward to more of Aiden’s interpretation of a kiss.

Ohhhh, I love this one! It’s inspired by the YA supernatural romance Cemetery Boys by Aiden Thomas (which I highly recommend if you're into any of that!), which features the main character having to help the ghost of his former classmate figure out how he died, and they catch feelings along the way.

So, like.

Titans season 3 au, where everything is the same up until Jason is killed, and then Crane just...doesn’t bring him back. And instead of half a season of weird back and forth on whether Jason is Evil™ or not, we get scooby-doo type hijinks where Tim is the only person who can see Jason’s ghost and they solve mysteries together have to figure out how to explain to Dick what happened/what Crane’s plan is without him thinking Tim is certifiable lol

And, because this is me, of course there is also plenty of angst;

“Why the hell can *I* see you but they can't?”  Jason scoffs, scuffs his worn sneakers against the stone floor. His edges go blurry, a soft ripple when he shrugs. “Maybe you're the only person who actually wants to.”

Hello, my friends!!! @jelo-boi and I have been cooking the past few days working on our MCSM Enchanted AU (AKA Minecraft: Enchanted Mode), a re-telling of the 2007 Disney movie Enchanted but with the funny blocks.

Summary:

Things start out in the fairytale land of Beaconlasia, where Jesse lives in a house in the woods until she’s saved from the Prismarine Colossus by Princess Petra and the two are to be married.

However, Petra’s stepfather King Romeo doesn’t want to give up the crown (he’s been trying to keep Petra from meeting a boy) and he disguises himself as an old man, tricking Jesse and pushing him down a well.

At this point, Jesse ends up in the middle of Manhattan. He wanders around the city, lost, until he quite literally falls into the arms of a divorce lawyer named Lukas and his younger sister Nell, and he goes to stay with them.

Meanwhile, Petra and Jesse’s pig friend Reuben venture to the real world to find her, and shortly after, Petra’s valet and Romeo’s servant, Ivor, goes through to try and stop her from finding him.

Lukas is engaged to a woman named Jessica, but shenanigans happen and he winds up falling in love with Jesse, and Jesse winds up falling in love with him as well. Ivor tries to poison Jesse a few times, and then eventually Petra finds him.

Except Jesse doesn’t want to go back because he loves Lukas and he likes being around Nell, but he agrees to return to Beaconlasia after going on a date with Petra.

They wind up going to a ball and Jesse dances with Lukas while Petra dances with Jessica, and then when it’s over, Petra and Jesse go to leave, but Romeo shows up disguised as the old man again and poisons Jesse with an apple. Petra finds out and tries to give him true love’s kiss, but it doesn’t work, so he has Lukas kiss him and he wakes up. Then Romeo turns into a dragon and captures Lukas, but Jesse saves him and Romeo falls off of the building and dies.

Jesse and Lukas have their happy ending while Jessica goes back to Beaconlasia with Petra and they get married, and Ivor writes a book and Reuben also writes a book and they all live happily ever after.

Important Details:

—> In the animated bits in Beaconlasia, they are Minecraft blocks.

—> Nell is Lukas’ younger sister, not his daughter. She’s still six, but with some of the mannerisms and attitude that Nell has.

—> Jesse cuts Lukas’ curtains to make his clothes—the suspenders are the patterned bits.

—> Instead of the running gag of Giselle’s wedding dress getting stuck in everything, it’s that Jesse’s suspenders keep getting caught on stuff.

—> Aiden is Lukas’ ex who left, causing him to have a sort of sour view on love (Aiden is also Malvina from Disenchanted. More on this later.)

—> Jesse and Jessica are long-lost siblings. Back when they were still babies, Jesse was more of a stubborn, adventurous type prone to wandering, while Jessica was a bit less stubborn and more reserved. Their mother was strolling them through Times Square on the same day maintenance work was also being done on the sewer, particularly the manhole that leads to Beaconlasia. When the stroller was just in place while their mother wasn't paying attention, Jesse crawled out while people were crossing the road. He got lost in the crowd, and eventually crawled all his way to the manhole and ended up stranded in Beaconlasia. Baby Jesse first wound up in the entrance to the wishing well inside the castle walls, but some parts of the walls had cracks that were big enough for him to crawl through. Eventually, he kept going on and kept roaming until he reached the forest, and there, the animals found him and took him in as their own. Ever since that day, Jessica grieved the loss of her brother, and as years went by, she wound up hiding those feelings inside her. Then, when she meets Jesse for the first time with Lukas at his apartment, she's initially jealous-angry at Lukas, but when she rides the taxi, she realizes how Jesse looks eerily similar to her, and she's like, “It can't be him, can it? It was so long ago. That's impossible.” After that, Jessica is less bothered by the notion of Lukas cheating on her and moreso by the notion that the person Lukas was with may be her long-lost twin. When she calls Lukas after receiving the flowers post-That’s How You Know, Jessica also asks for Jesse to come along with him to her workplace. Right after the scene where Jessica is awed by the flowers and thanks Lukas for the ball invitation in person, she calls for Jesse to have a talk with her. They have a heart-to-heart talk about how Jesse may have been separated from them since they were babies, and both confirm that he really is Jessica’s sister. Then they hug and they both cry and comfort each other as they realize they’re both family.

—> Dewey was one of Jesse’s friends back in Beaconlasia and he comes to the real world with Petra and Reuben, finds them while they’re at the park, and then stays with them when Reuben goes back to Beaconlasia

Relationships:

Green Suspenders Jesse and Lukas

They meet when Jesse falls off of a billboard and Lukas brings him back to his and Nell’s apartment to stay the night. After some initial misunderstandings with Lukas’ fiancée and coworkers, he begins to truly care about Jesse, and Jesse grows reluctant to return to his own world after realizing his feelings for Lukas.

Female Jesse and Petra

Jessica falls for Petra while they’re at the ball. Taken by surprise by Petra’s completely straightforward and earnest nature, she’s swept off her feet after Lukas falls for Jesse. The two return to Beaconlasia together and get married.

Ivor and Romeo

Ivor is entirely devoted to serving Romeo, but Romeo couldn’t care less about him. Once Ivor realizes this, he turns on him and helps Petra and Jesse defeat him.

Magnus and Ellegaard

A couple who were going to get divorced before Jesse stumbled into things and re-ignited their spark.
