[Masterpost] VAZZROCK bi-color S3 Vol. 11 - Peridot x Aquamarine

Hi, hi~! After what felt like forever, I finally finished Peridot x Aquamarine~! I really wanted to get on it when I first got it, but I was occupied with other projects as well as a lot of IRL stuff and changes orz

Anyway, Peridot x Aquamarine tackles a pretty deep topic regarding embracing certain aspects about yourself and your personality, but VAZZROCK manages to make it seem light enough so that it doesn’t feel super overwhelming! Yuma and Ayumu were certainly a combi that I didn’t expect, but they paired really well together~! I can’t wait to see them interact more, too!

Also, I find it kinda funny that a lot of Yuma’s self-revelations and journey to embracing himself have been with ROCK DOWN members (*￣▽￣)b There was his whole “I’m a heartless person” convo with Gaku, and then there was him also learning to enjoy things with Ruka. Now we have him questioning and accepting himself once more with Ayumu! What is with with ROCK DOWN members adopting Yuma all of a sudden? 🤣

This was a really fun CD, and I really enjoyed it~! I hope you guys do as well ^^ Emerald x Amethyst and then bi-color S3 tokuten drama are up on queue, so please look forward to them, too~!

Thinking about my 5Ds/Zexal crossover and I'm SO SAD rn bc yknow when people have Very Good Intentions with regards to witholding information, but sometimes it's best just to let people know?

Yeah. So in this AU Yusei and Yuma are childhood friends and both their dads go missing the weekend right before Yuma's big duel against Shark (which is to prove Yuma is the Worst Duelist Ever and is going to be a huge spectacle). So where Yusei and Akari were supposed to both take Yuma to get new cards, just Akari goes because "something came up with Yusei" (despite Yusei NEVER breaking promises with Yuma) and Yuma isn't allowed to watch the news and they're planning to tell him Monday after the duel because - win or lose - they want Yuma to be able to put up a fight against his bully and hopefully gain some respect just by managing to survive for X amount of turns or something. Like they want Yuma to give his all and they KNOW this is gonna traumatize the kid and having that on TOP of being relentlessly bullied??? Yeah no like they're Waiting.

Cue Yuma walking home on Monday, everyone anxiously awaiting to hear if Yuma won or not, and the first things he says are "so was anyone going to tell me my dad went missing or was I supposed to find that out from Shark using that as an insult?"

Alit. Him saying, “Yuma, meeting you was totally hot.” before his death was like, a pseudo way of telling Yuma he loved him, but after being revived, he told him proper.

Who would have the other’s picture as their phone background

Both. Alit would openly show it around to every stranger who would listen to him, proclaiming about how much he loves his boyfriend. Yuma, on the other hand, isn’t reserved, per se, but isn’t as over the top about it as Alit is.

Who leaves notes written in fog on the bathroom mirror

Yuma. He leaves little ‘I love you’s and such before leaving for the day, whether its to Astral World with Astral, or out to the city.

Who buys the other cheesy gifts

Both. Alit goes for the cheesy overstuffed plushies on Valentines’ Day whereas Yuma goes for the large heart-shaped chocolate boxes.

Who initiated the first kiss

Alit. The first kiss in their relationship was Alit kissing the back of Yuma’s hand after their first date. Yuma surprised him on their next date with a kiss to Alit’s cheek. On their third date, Alit was the one to give the other a kiss on the lips.

Who kisses the other awake in the morning

Alit. More often than not, they both sleep in, but the rare time they get up early, Alit is the one to kiss the other awake.

Who starts tickle fights

Yuma. He’s used to starting them with his sister when they were younger. Though when Akari got older she didn’t indulge Yuma nearly as often. So being able to start them up again with Alit is fun for Yuma.

Who asks who if they can join the other in the shower

Alit. At least, far more often than Yuma does. Alit’s more forward than Yuma.

Who surprises the other in the middle of the day at work with lunch

Yuma. While Alit is pro-dueling/wrestling with Gauche, Yuma visits him and brings him up lunch as a surprise. Alit would do the same for Yuma, but it’s hard to visit your boyfriend when he’s off in Astral World helping maintain the balance between worlds.

Who was nervous and shy on the first date

Yuma. He’s more nervous than shy, because he’s not as romantically confident as Alit is, but after some time into their first date, he’s laughing and smiling and his nerves are set at ease.

Who kills/takes out the spiders

Yuma. He’s used to guiding them out of the attic after sleeping in there, where there’s spiders abundant.

Who loudly proclaims their love when they’re drunk

Yuma. He’s a lightweight and when he’s drunk, he’s very unabashedly openly affectionate.

Favorite male character: Kaito Tenjo

Hard choice really, since Zexal has an amazing cast of male characters. Still, I chose Kaito as my favorite because he was the first character who caught my attention particularly ♡ His first appearance really had a strong impact on me. He’s extremely badass and smart, a fantastic duelist with a perfectly suitable deck, and a well-developed character: what more can you ask for? He’s also the only YuGiOh rival who managed to beat the protagonist, which makes his dueling score even more impressive. I love his personality and his attitude too ♡ An amazing character, really ♡

Favorite female character: Akari Tsukumo

While Zexal has amazing cast of male characters, it has a veeeeeery poor cast of girls, unfortunately... Kotori is actually not that bad, but she’s too weak; Cathy had a bit of potential, but she was reduced to a Yuma-lover; Rio is basically a shallow Mary Sue who could’ve been written so much better and could’ve made a decent female character... Anna and Droite are much better, but in the end they didn’t add anything at all to the show. I had to pick Akari because she’s the one I like the most among all of these girls x’) She’s cool and badass, and despite not being relevant in the show, she left a good impression on me :)

The smile Itsuki was giving was like nothing Tsubomi had ever seen before. The warmth, the affection, the way her eyes lidded ever so slightly as her cheeks grew pink – this was the real Itsuki. The Itsuki who didn’t force herself to act like a man to be strong. Who openly loved cute things just as much as much as she loved martial arts. The Itsuki who had decided recently she wanted to revisit Paris and be a model one day. More beautiful than any flower she had ever seen in her entire life, this was the Itsuki Myoudouin who had completely and utterly captured Tsubomi Hanasaki’s heart.

Tbh... I consider this fic in general to have my best prose, even two years later. As I say in the notes, Itsuki/Tsubomi is the most important ship in any media to me. I don’t do much with PreCure anymore, and I think part of it is that I feel like this is the best PreCure-related thing I’ll ever write and I’m satisfied with that.

8. Share a snippet from one of your favorite dialogue scenes you’ve written and explain why you’re proud of it.

“No ‘buts’,” Akari chided as she grabbed her wallet and Yuma sank into the couch. “I'll be back in a half hour.”

In the time it took for Akari to get ready and grab her things, Yuma slithered over to the chair next to the one their mother was in at the dining room table.

“Moooom,” he beckoned.

“Whaaaat,” Mirai answered in an identical tone, not looking up from her writing.

“You and dad have always said if the Numbers ever did show up that it'd be better if I went out with an adult than another kid.” He made small gestures with his fingers on the table.

“That we have.” Mirai knew where he was getting at, but was waiting for him to ask the question outright before answering.

“Akari is an adult,” Yuma continued, his voice dragging on.

“That she is.”

“Well,” his fingers continued to circle the table, getting progressively larger. “Do you think I could go on errands with her?”

���I’m already almost out the door,” Akari called out from the doorway in protest. “I don't have the time to wait for you to get ready, too.”

“The kid’s going stir crazy, Akari,” Mirai replied. “You won't be gone long, anyways.” She followed with a small wink, as if saying and he won't complain as much when you guys get back.

Akari turned in from the doorway to face her mother. The frustration on her face showed she still wasn't convinced. “You just said it yourself that it's dangerous. We don't know when a Number could attack.”

Mirai’s eyes met her daughter’s as she answered. “I think you're capable enough to take care of both of you if that happens. If I didn't, we wouldn't be having this conversation.”

“Fine,” Akari pouted as Yuma cheered. “But hurry up, Yuma. I don't want to be out long.”

This is a small snippet from an AU fic of mine where the Numbers are actual monsters that attack Heartland periodically. I’m waiting to get 8-9 out of 35 chapters finished before posting it publicly. 

Akari originally wasn’t going to have a major role in this chapter, but as with the fic itself, I’ve found she’s someone who forces herself into things when she wants to be there. Not only does this make her incredibly fun to write, but it’s made the story itself feel a lot more organic and real to me - especially as a younger sibling with an older sister who hated taking me places when I was in middle school.Additionally, I found Mirai to be very surprisingly natural and easy to write. She has so little (if any) characterization that it makes her basically an OC with a canon design, haha.

Check Out 48 Character Voices with "King's Game The Animation" New PVs

The official website for the upcoming TV anime adaptation of Nobuaki Kanazawa/Pakkuncho's cell phone novel Oosama Game/King's Game today posted two new PVs to introduce its 48 character voices. The TV anime tells an original story that combines the first novel Ousama Game/King's Game and the second novel Ousama Game Shukyoku/King's Game Climax. And the first PV introduces the characters from the first novel, and the second video introduces those from the second.

  The Seven (Musekinin Galaxy Tylor)-animated series is set to premiere on AT-X on October 5, and will be also available on Crunchyroll.
