Regulus had the worst migraines ever.

Whenever he as much as passed by a crowd of loud gryffindors, walked the grounds when it's sunny, or played a long match of quidditch, he always ended up with his head pounding and eyes watering, unable to move or speak. He would need complete silence, as little light as possible, and a long nap. 

When he started dating James, extroverted cheery bubbly James, he thought he would need to keep his distance whenever his temples started to hurt. 

But to his surprise, the moment he mentionned having a headache in the middle of the Halloween party, James dropped everything and pulled him gently towards his dorm room.

He closed the curtains, fluffed up the pillows, and pushed Regulus softly on the bed before tucking him in. 

"Would you like me to stay with you, or do you prefer being alone?"

"James, it's fine. You can go back to your party. I'll just sleep it off."

The frown on James' face was too adorable, when he responded: 

"Baby, that's not what I asked you."

Regulus couldn't deny that the mere thought of his head on James' chest already made the tension in his head lighter, so he pulled his boyfriend by the sleeve and settled next to him, content despite the pain.

Honestly, Regulus should've known that James would be considerate and lovely. It was James after all.

I like to try and untwist Hidan's "sharing pain" belief system from "get off of torturing someone for hours on end" to like "ways you can empathize with somone's suffering" only Hidan would do it in a weird poorly though through way. Like he's confused but still, it's a sweet gesture from someone as selfish as he is. Either way Kakuzu is left trying to figure out if he is mad at him for doing something so stupid, or touched because he would do something so stupid for him.

It's interesting to me, because Hidan's technique functions so much like ninshu. The principle of ninshu being a spiritual connection between people, to communicate and understand each other without words. Strangely enough his curse technique let's him do that on a physical level, he can connect to physical energy, which is most commonly pain. I think the origin of technique just like ninshu started out as something peaceful and then became weaponized.

oh and shoutout to akatsuki fraternity: missed memories chapter 4 because I was like there it is, my motivation to finally draw this because I am not alone with this brainworm!

this article is absolutely shocking to read. Lando was struggling with sleep and between sessions because of how bad his back pain was, and he's cut down on track walks because they make the pain worse.

"It got to quite a bad point last year. Every day I was struggling, struggling with sleep and everything just in constant pain, and now I’m in a much better position."

Andrea also said they were helping Lando deal with the pain and I'm really glad he feels a bit better now because I did not expect it to be so bad.

I am on track to type probably about 35,000 words for work just today. I wish I was still in my twenties hfsfsd my arms and shoulders are CONCERNED.

I'm so glad we're not normal about bg3 because I desperately need to talk about the fact that, while all the origin characters are tragic in some way, Astarion's fate is so grim no matter the choices you make in the game, which can be compared only to Karlach who is doomed to either die or live as an illithid. We all know if Astarion ascends, he just continues on the path of power hungry violence Cazador set him on. But even if he doesn't, if we choose the "better" option for his personal development, he's doomed to be a vampire spawn forever. He loses the hope to ever feel the sun on his skin again, something he clearly misses so much when he's adventuring with a tadpole in his head. And while other characters get to choose their next steps at the end of the game, he runs off into the shadows. He never gets his full freedom, after a century of torture, sa and literally being mind controlled, his only choices are to either accept the life of a vampire spawn or become the one he hated the most.

In fact, the only time he ever is afforded freedom is those precious few weeks between being abducted by the nautiloid and defeating the Absolute. The time spent with accidental chosen family, treated like his own person, free to roam in the daylight.

I realized it gets to me because life is like this: you get faced with terrors and impossible choices, and all you have to power you is the moments in-between, moments where other people carry the weight on your shoulders with you for no other reason than deeply caring about you. BG3 origin character stories are so great because all of them seek freedom and the price to pay for that freedom is too great. But it becomes less daunting because everyone gets to support each other along the journey.

And I do ugly cry about it.
