More Johnalthea goodness I was excited to share with you all but this time, in the form of a beautifully breathtaking three-page comic, done by none other than the lovely and sweet @jaguardorado16~✨💓 This masterpiece of a commission was heavily inspired by the demo version of Wish's 'At All Costs' and this amazing fan storyboard/animatic as seen here 🌟 Although the movie is mostly reviewed as mediocre itself (despite the hidden references, secrets and easter eggs to other Disney classics) this song I really enjoy listening to~😌To me, it really gives off John Dory x Amalthea vibes (hence it being their love song list💕) it really fits them~💚💘 You cannot imagine how truly over the moon I am to have this wonderfully romantic and memorable moment between John and Ama brought magically to life~🪄✨🥹I am absolutely love, love, LOVING every single part and page to the stars and heavens above -LITERALLY~!!😍💖🥰🌌🥰💖😍 Every time I look at them this way - dancing and singing amongst the stars together, the song always plays in my head, it's absolutely perfect...EEEEEEE~!!🤩🌟💝🌟🤩And it's great to see Broppy witnessing the beautiful moment too~💙🩷😉

Here it is, two of my favorite OCxCanon ships by @jade-green-butterfly. Since John Dory is two of the BroZone members I didn’t give a precolonial makeover so I decided to add Amalthea, his GF who is a space troll, a species made by @x-elyssa-x, as well as Prince Cooper and Jussy, my first fave ship.

Since women in the precolonial era have the same kinship rights as men, they are treated as companions and equals. Amalthea has a scroll made of tree bark and bamboo that Lux also carries because I see her as studying stars as an astrologer. As for Jussy, she had already passed being a binukot, ready to marry Cooper. For anyone who doesn’t know the lost history, binukot is a pre-colonial Visayan tradition from the Philippines that secludes a young woman with the expectation that seclusion will result in a higher value placed on the girl by marital suitors in the future. It originally applied to young noblewomen. The name literally means "wrapped up" or "veiled" in Visayan languages, in the sense of seclusion.

The chamber is immense and opulent beyond words, lavish and luxurious from the marble of its floor and pillars to the gilded lined draperies and gleaming ensorcelled lights casting a faux warm glow in shivering haloes. There are men and women in equally expensive finery from the corners of the vast world, gowns and suits to robes and sheer wrappings that was far from the notion of modest.

Music flows in currents throughout and many twirl and sway to its rhythm, couples exchanged at the cresting notes of a melody's zenith. Rarely the same partner twice - which is how the alabaster draped Amalthea finds herself in the hands of Ikkaku for the next rotation of steps. Her gown is lush with silky white feathers and pearls, but then stained with deep, bloodied crimson from around her throat and down over the swell of her chest. Rubies and scarlet threads creating the illusion of a torn, dripping wound that spilled vitae down her front in a beautifully macabre display.

She is equally as pale against the sanguine; lucid flesh and snowlit hair coiled and piled upon her head in an elaborate up do. Her eyes are huge and like the moonless midnight sky, framed by thick frosted lashes. Her red-rose painted lips part to speak; "You arent like the others," quiet as a butterfly's speech, still somehow heard over the throng, "death is in every false breath here, you will be devoured." The warning is emphasized by the squeeze of her hand; she could not see another innocent soul trapped as she was.

story telling! which for me includes extensive world building, writing, and drawing - I have a google doc of world building notes so long that it lags, dont ever let it be said that I dont think way too much about things that dont matter

stamps! this is a much more recent one, but I have started stamp collecting and have a very lovely binder for it and I'm thrilled about it

THEO LORE/INFO DUMP

( Ooc: Theo is based off of Lady Amalthea from The Last Unicorn and shares lore similar to her too I suppose. )

Basic Backstory:

Theo is from the Lilac Woods, where he basically has lived his entire life. He was informed one day (via a random talking butterfly bc I like making references) that he was supposedly the last of his kind after he asked the butterfly if it truely knew who he was (another reference.)

Theo decides later that night that he would try to find to find the rest of his kind, unaware they were drove all the way to a special place in Briar Valley by a Red Bull (Ooc: who goes by Rubeus Abaddōn in this au, he later shows up during the Glorious Masquerade Arc, posing as a Fire Bull Fae. I'll make a separate post for him 👍)

As Theo leaves his forest, he ends up crossing paths with the Black Carriage, and then basically blacks out.

He wakes up in the dark (a coffin) which is opened up by Grim (basically all what happened with Yuu and Grim when they first met, except Theo doesn't even have a name yet-)

With his magic gone, no name yet, and now in a human body, Crowley sends Theo off to Ramshackle, thinking Theo is just a amnesiatic teen who forgot a lot about himself.

Some Basic Stuff Regarding His Magic Status and Such:

— Also like Amalthea, while in his human state, he tends to have nightmares (that are his past) but he doesn't remember it because he's slowly forgetting who he was as he becomes more human.

— During Malleus's Overblot arc, Theo appears as his unicorn form because in this "world" there is no magic keeping him human

— Somewhere around Leona or Azul's Overblot arc, Theo starts regaining his magic back

— When Theo first came to Twisted Wonderland, he had no name. So Crowley (with the help of Crewel) were the ones who gave Theo his official name.

Notes About Theo's Personality And How He Acts:

Theo is pretty quiet and reserved, doesn't really talk much unless he has too. However, once he is comfortable around people, he will talk more often.

He does like sewing and cooking (he was taught how to do both a little while after being taken to NRC). And often does give out little plushies (and sometimes sweets that he makes) and such to those he's very close to.

He usually has a neutral look on his face, as unicorns never really feel emotions. But as he starts forgetting who he is and becomes more human over time, he starts feeling and expressing more emotions such as happiness, sadness, etc.

(Ooc: This is just the basic stuff, you can ask any questions about him if you'd like!)

The latest treasure of a masterpiece for my Johnalthea collection, created once more by my lovely @x-elyssa-x💜which shows JD and Amalthea on their wedding day~👰🏽💒😍 Commissioned and inspired by my two recent pieces of Johnalthea goodness (link in the sentence~👈🏻😉) I really wanted to see the happy and starry newly weds together on their special day as their wedding takes place in Ama's sweet home, The Space Kingdom🌌And what makes their wedding day even more special, is the bond and union of the two kingdoms - Space and Troll, united as one~💞🫶🏻💞 I chose the groom tuxedo for John and he actually looks great in lavender!😚🪻Very dapper, and Ama thinks so too~😏He was quite unsure about it at first, but with some sweet encouragement from Amalthea, he now loves it~💚 I also added the lyrics of their song, 'A Sky Full Of Stars' (sung by Coldplay) to fit the tender moment between them here, and I couldn't be more proud~!!👏🏻😭💖🥹✨ I seriously thank-you so, SOOOO MUCH in a million once more, my sweet Ely!🫂😊🫂For such another magnificent piece for my darling starry ship - which has really captured my heart and I absolutely love, love, LOVE to the stars so~!🤩🌟🥰💝🤩🌟🥰 Bless you, my dear sis...~💘😇🪽I am ever so grateful and joyful for all you do, you're amazing and always~!✌🏻😘💕xoxo.

first impression: I watched tlu when I was like.. four so nothing more complex than omg cool horse

Impression now: Amalthea is so fun I kinda love her. Intermixed with the grief and regret she's so petty and vain and I enjoy seeing that compared to the other characters in tlu. Also I can never get over how much I love her design

Favorite moment: oohohhhhohoh for the film probably when she's talking to shmendrick after mommy fortuna is killed ("I can feel sorrow, but it's not the same thing.." vomits cries screams etc) or when she talks to the butterfly. for the book probably when she's talking to Molly and being all upset at lir and shmendrick. Idky I just love how she worded her dismay

Idea for a story: mmmmmm probably something relating to her interacting w other unicorns, mainly after the plot of the film. Since Amalthea is the last we never get to see her interacting with her own species organically and I wanna see that!!!! Also with how her humanity isolates her from the herd

Unpopular opinion: idk if it's unpopular but I kind of dislike when people over exaggerate Amalthea's grace (ie fanart). Especially if it's her post movie/main climax. Beagle mentions that her grace is threatened while journeying and she isn't as beautiful nor delicate. Then again the movie deliberately enhances her grace....idk I'm just picky

Favorite relationship: whatevr she has with Molly. I don't care if it's platonic or romantic they have something and I love it. I would go into detail but I would very quickly delve into fanfiction territory

Favorite headcannon: she continued to struggle with night terrors after the plot of the film. Its minor but I think abt it a lot. Girl be fucked in the head!!!
