In a contrary manner, that is endlessly annoying, this feeling is actually a good thing...

Source; Stolen ... uh, I mean saved to my computer from somewhere else on Tumblr a few years ago, that I refer to frequently whenever I feel like this.
please please please please reblog if you’re a writer and have at some point felt like your writing is getting worse. I need to know if I’m the only one who’s struggling with these thoughts

How does necromancy work in this world? You mentioned that was a thing, and now I’m curious where that fits in the established magic system.
Invoking the truename of a being whose soul has unraveled (aka is dead) can cause local unstructured soul energy to temporarily take on a structure similar to the soul of the truenamed individual. It's like an echo. Effect be strengthened/extended by possessing some of the person's body, mostly bones.
It's very unlike elemental magic and is mostly done through the spoken or sung word, sometimes put down in writing for more lasting effects, but Wind magic can sometimes play a role in deciphering truenames for later use, as the Wind seems to be a repository for every name and secret, spoken or unspoken.
Mortal truenames are extremely long, like DNA-string long - in fact, they appear to be fractal and potentially infinite in their complexity, as each element of a truename can be "elaborated" into a much longer phrase encoding the story and events that shaped this aspect of the person.
Most souls conjured with a truename will be shortened, simplified versions of the beings they were in life. Using an elaborated section of the truename can result in a shade with a more solid consciousness and personality in the area of their soul that element of their truename corresponds to. For instance, a necromancer might want the shade of a great warrior to guide their tactics in battle, so they invoke what they know of their truename but specifically elaborate on the epithet relating to their most famous battle. Acquiring this truename is usually done by meditating on the winds in areas important to that shade, where the course of their life left an impression; Wind mages can also do rituals to coax the wind into volunteering helpful information more readily.
Basically, in a world where elemental magic is a science, necromancy is an art, and an inexact one at that. No mortal or god can directly manipulate soul energy, but it can be coaxed.

ID: [A poster created by Sean Saifa Wall and Micah Bazant of a Black parent holding their child. They are dressed in white and almost seem to be glowing, in front of a backdrop of multicolored waves that look like DNA strands. Colorful text reads "Protect Intersex Youth."]
"A Framework for Intersex Justice
Intersex justice is medical justice. Intersex surgeries hurt everyone.
These medical violations bring immediate harm to the child who is subjected to them.
Parents who consent to medically unnecessary surgeries participate in a culture of shame, silence and stigma, perpetuated by doctors, that allows these surgeries to continue. Parents are often left to fend for themselves as they navigate shame and guilt. The issue of parents consenting to these surgeries is especially complex when societies believe that children don’t have individual rights and that parents are always acting in their best interest.
Medical practitioners such as pediatricians, obstetricians, urologists, social workers, and endocrinologists all play a role in upholding an institution that continues to harm children with intersex variations. The practitioners, in turn, are protected by hospitals and state laws that grant them immunity.
This is why intersex justice is important.
Although the framework is evolving, the following is a definition of intersex justice co-created with Dr. Mel Michelle Lewis (they>she), an Associate Professor of Gender/Sexuality in Studio and Humanistic Studies at Maryland Institute College of Art: Intersex justice is a decolonizing framework that affirms the labor of intersex people of color fighting for change across social justice movements. By definition, intersex justice affirms bodily integrity and bodily autonomy as the practice of liberation. Intersex justice is intrinsically tied to justice movements that center race, ability, gender identity & expression, migrant status, and access to sexual & reproductive healthcare. Intersex justice articulates a commitment to these movements as central to its intersectional analysis and praxis. Intersex justice acknowledges the trauma caused by medically unnecessary and nonconsensual cosmetic genital surgeries and addresses the culture of shame, silence and stigma surrounding intersex variations that perpetuate further harm.
The marginalization of intersex people is rooted in colonization and white supremacy. Colonization created a taxonomy of human bodies that privileged typical white male and female bodies, prescribing a gender binary that would ultimately harm atypical black and indigenous bodies. As part of a liberation movement, intersex activists challenge not only the medical establishment, which is often the initial site of harm, but also governments, institutions, legal structures, and sociocultural norms that exclude intersex people. Intersex people should be allowed complete and uninhibited access to obtaining identity documents, exercising their birth and adoption rights, receiving unbiased healthcare, and securing education and employment opportunities that are free from harm and harassment. This framework serves a radical vision where intersex children are protected and survivors of genital cutting are cared for and respected. We owe that to intersex people and we owe that to ourselves.
The implementation of an intersex justice framework should include the following components: 1. Informed consent 2. Reparations 3. Legal protections 4. Accountability 5. Language 6. Children's rights 7. Patient-centered healthcare."
-Intersex Justice Project, founded by Sean Saifa Wall, Lynnell Stephani Long, and Pidgeon Pagonis.
#personal#actuallyintersex#intersex#intersex justice#intersex history#intersex pride#i see so many people use the term intersex justice and i think it's really important to understand that intersex justice is a very specific#framework#and to give the credit to the amazing activists from IJP who created it

Want to be a better writer? Read
Read Widely
An oft-repeated bit of advice for writers is "you gotta read". That said, I pretty often see people confused about what this means-- or arguing about a narrow set of what "counts" as reading for that advice.
This is my attempt to wrangle with my own perspective on how to execute on that advice, according to my own attempts over the last few years to live up to that. (And indeed, while this is primarily aimed at fiction writers, this'll probably be broadly applicable to writers across a wide variety of genres, formats, and even mediums. just move things a little to the left if they don't apply)
If you want to get better at writing, what should you read? More or less, everything. But to give some guidelines:
1. Read Widely Within Your Genre
Genres are more or less conversations composed of stories. They are built upon break out hits, popular tropes, emerging trends, current concerns, stylistic flourishes. You can't be part of the conversation if you don't know what's already been discussed. You don't want to bumble your way into a genre you barely know, talk a big game about "revolutionizing it", and end up writing a trite replication of a 50-year-old pillar of the genre.
2. Read Widely OUTSIDE Your Genre
At their best, genres are conversations. At their worst, they are the bland copying of other peoples' homework. You need to bring new conversational partners in (or, to mix metaphors, new DNA) to keep things fresh. I'm a spec fic person first and foremost, but I make sure I mix that diet up with other genres, from "literary" fiction, mysteries, romance, etc, because they'll teach you the elements your own preferred genre(s) might be missing.
3. Read Non-Fiction
Non-fiction are stories too, just stories about true facts. (Some of those stories are truer than others; some are more convincing; the two aren't necessarily the same). Learning how those narratives are built is vital. Not to mention, the information itself can inspire you— real life science, history, sociology, economics, etc, are fertile beds for world-building, characterization, and plot.
4. Read From Other Backgrounds and Cultures Besides Your Own
I'm hardly the first person to say that the publishing industry, like so many industries, primarily elevates certain voices— white, western, male, often privileged— over others. This is gonna give you a bit of a narrow perspective of how the world works. It is also likely to give you a narrow perspective of how stories are constructed. There are a LOT of pieces of writing advice that's treated like universal (the Three Act structure, the Hero's Journey, etc) that are really just extremely common in Western literature, and looking at pieces from outside it will expand your ideas of how to create stories.
5. Read From Other Time Periods
Honestly, this is sort of just a different take on the last one ('The Past Is A Different Country', or so they say), but it's different enough that I want to clarify it. Tropes and trends and story convention change over time. Read stories from 50 years ago; 200; 500; 2000. Plays, fairy tales, ballads, poems. Seriously, ancient mythological epics are SO cool to read because you truly feel connected to a storytelling tradition stretching back generations.
6. Read Books for Kids and Youth
The best kids books have stunning clarity of purpose. They have to be REALLY good at communicating their information. Learn from that.
7. Consume Other Mediums
I wish we had a better word for this, because 'consumption' does bring to mind someone just ploughing through food endlessly without thought or discernment, but we don't have another word for the breadth of ways we enjoy media. Watch television and movies and short films (and consider how those formats differ). Listen to podcasts and radio plays. Watch stage plays. Read the scripts of all the above. Read comics and graphic novels. Play video games. Watch the news. Listen to music. Go to art museums and galleries of all stripes. All of these have different strengths and weaknesses, different pacing, different styles. Learn from them.
8. Pay Attention to the Media You Might Not Even Think About As Media
Yes, we're taking the last one even further. I'm talking about the media often overlooked, either because it's often denigrated by society, or because frankly, it just blends in the background. In the first category, that's stuff like reality TV and social media posts and graffiti. In the second we have things like Facebook Marketplace posts or the backs of cereal boxes or the technical manual for your new air conditioner. (Advertisements live somewhere in the Venn diagram overlap between the two.) These all also have their own structure, styles, and merits.
9. Read Bad (and Simply Mediocre) Media
Recommendation lists will usually be filled with examples of good stories, because, well, they're good. But if you're reading in part to learn how to write, there's a lot to be gleamed by pieces that just... miss the mark. Whether it's clocks or cars or electronics, when things break you can gleam insights into how they're supposed to work; much is the same with the not-so-great media.
10. Read Indie Stuff
Pretty much every medium's industry has formal publishers who help distribute art, and in theory, vet for quality. They are, broadly, successful at that... but as I've discussed before, those same publishers can often act as gatekeepers, with an overly narrow view of what counts as "quality". Across mediums, the indie space is often where you'll find the most unique, experimental, and boundary-pushing art. It can be harder to navigate, but oh, is it worth it.
11. Read Fanfic
I'm sharing this on Tumblr, so I suspect I'm mostly preaching to the choir here, but nonetheless. In addition to the aforementioned benefits of indie media, fanfiction is capable of teaching you how to write transformative works. I'd argue transformative works have always been the bedrock of human storytelling, and that has not changed at all in the modern day. Mainstream media is choc-a-block with remakes, reboots, and adaptations, most of it bad. Why? Because they don't know what makes for a good transformative work. So open up AO3, my children, and read!
12. Read Other Writers' Thoughts About The Writing Process
Well, since you've gotten to the twelfth point, you've succeeded there.
Okay, but seriously, I put this so low on the list because I do think it can sometimes be overstated; it is very easy to get lost in the weeds of theory over simply just writing. But it is good to process and reflect on all the things you've been reading, and this is a good way to do so.
And above all else, as you explore the wide wealth of pieces people throughout time and cultures have created, to paraphrase my friend Artemis: be curious about it. Curiosity is where the cool things happen.

A better question is- and this is after seeing the question regarding what happened to Mewtwo's castle on New Island...
How did he make it in the first place?
Because if it was just from his psychic ability alone, that's not only impressive, but it also makes me curious of something else...
Would he ever put that ability to use in some other way? I mean- that castle looked like a genuine piece of art...as odd as it is to say that, it definitely had some artistic design choices in it. That staircase that he hovers down from between? Looked identical to the structure of DNA. That had to be intentional, right?
Getting back on track, I just wonder if he would use that power for something else interesting...small sculptures, maybe. Or maybe one...Delia has been pretty sweet with making his scarves...maybe he would want to give her something as a gift? 🤷♀️
He just had the dramatic flair and eye for architecture XD possibly a theatre kid. But yeah he had to have made it just with his psychic power since back then being a psychic type basically meant you had unlimited power
He’s probably not feeling as artsy anymore though aside from still being able to sew things XD

Questions To Ask Ourselves:
1. What is an Egyptian pyramid doing on a US dollar bill?
2. Why did 56 countries sign a treaty not to take risks and enter Antarctica?
3. Why do planes never fly over Antarctica?
4. How did NASA "lose" the photos of the moon landing, one of the most important moments for humanity?
5. If Neil Armstrong was the first to walk on the moon, who held the camera?
6. Why haven't we gone back to the moon?
7. If monkeys evolved into humans, why are there still monkeys?
8. Why does 95% of our DNA exist as "junk"? Who decided it was actually "garbage"?
9. How were huge, symmetrical, detailed, sacred, and geometrically regular structures such as cathedrals and parliamentary buildings created by people who lived in log cabins, rode horse-drawn carriages, and had no machines or lasers?
10. How is it that similar pre-Columbian architecture is found all over the world?
11. Why are there images in ancient Egyptian art that resemble "spaceships"?
12. Why were remains and images of giant people found? And why do different ancient scriptures from various cultures, including the Bible, talk about giants?
13. Why are there images of mushrooms in ancient Christian art? And why does the Pope dress up like a giant Amanita muscaria mushroom?
14. Why do ancient Egyptian artworks show jaws, and is it a coincidence that the pineal gland resembles jaws?
15. Why are there descriptions of dragons all over the world and in different cultures, thousands of years apart, and also mentioned in the Bible?
16. Why is there so much blatant satanic symbolism in the music and entertainment industry?
17. Why do most video games revolve around killing?
18. How is it possible that movies and cartoons like The Simpsons can predict certain cultural events so accurately?
19. How do forest fires melt cars but leave trees intact?
20. What is the national debt? If there is a borrower, there must also be a lender: who is it?
21. How is it that the so-called "national debt" has increased despite tax increases? Where does the taxpayer's money go?
22. Why is alcohol and tobacco poisoning considered "normal" and referred to simply as "drinking" and "smoking"?
23. Why are alcohol and tobacco shown in almost all shows and movies?
24. How do news presenters around the world and on various channels say and repeat the same script word for word?
25. If we are more progressive and informed than ever before, why do we have the highest rates of obesity, cancer, and heart disease, not to mention depression?
Questions you should have already been asking yourself and there are many more you should be asking. 🤔

I CANT TAKE IT ANYMORE
I’ve held my tongue for too long about my feelings on madhouse but fucking hell!
Unless by some fucking act of arceus or universe hands me the fucking concept art that went into this horrible webcomic- I got room to rip and tear!
This is:
Goblin’s Valid Autopsy of Lily Orchard’s PokéMadhouse
Before we go forward!
Hi. I’m Gobbo or Bri (pick ya poison), I’m a current student at Savannah College of Art and Design (as for campus I ain’t saying nothing) Im working on my bachelors in Animation and minoring in Creative Writing. My Concentration starting as 2d animation later switching it to Story and Concept in animation (back in 2021). I started in 2019 and it’s… 2024 now. Don’t judge me! I’ve been mentored by comic artist, storyboarders and many more in the industry! I’ve taken storyboarding and a plethora of writing classes to have enough qualifications under my belt to properly discuss the shit writing, lacking worldbuilding, disorganized plot hole ridden lore/arcs and horrible inconsistent art. So let’s not waste another moment and dive fucking in!
Story:
I’m not using Lily’s self review tvtropes to cover this. It’s disingenuous ego stroking at full blast.
We follow the highs and lows that are the “will they won’t they” relationship between the stated as sisters, Lily and her Gardevoir, G (yes that’s her fucking name). In a Sunday newspaper comic page esc structure. With bits and pieces of trivia and lore that rarely comes up if not to push and pull sympathy points for lilys self insert as she gets assaulted and violated in physical and mental ways. An arc being called “Violate” and later following the would be time span for gestation of a baby that would then become the labeled cryptid child.

I’m gonna be real there’s no point in reading it because the moment something big happens out of the blue there wasn’t a page missing to explain it which god fucking dammit Lily do I need to give you one of those brainframe sheets or outline templates if you decide to write a story? Because I’ll gladly provide them!

How do you consider yourself a fucking writer at all with your fundamental lack of care for lore and story like- for fucks sake woman it won’t kill you!
Characters
Lily
G
Mikayla
Marah
Bonnie
Mismagius
Other hardly seen or used Pokémon that get thrown away out of nowhere
Countless stolen ocs
And Dr Ponytail (yes that’s the fucking name of one of the “antagonists” and I’ve reread it so many times and found nothing!)
Lily has her “antagonists” being either ex friends or partners or someone who tries to call out bullshit! Fucking hell, the way Lily has g written it’s hard to not see HER AS ONE!
You have all these characters and you neglect so many of them to focus on making your favorite Dollies kiss and scissor or do nothing!
You don’t punish actual rapists either like legit what do you do when your Pokémon who’s been raised like a sister your whole life admits to mindfucking you in a weird soul bond type deal (that you wrote the explanation of yourself), then out of fear swaps dna of a Pokémon of her CRITICALLY ENDANGERED SPECIES can match with to save it with your own dna to baby lock you to staying together, what’s the thing you decide to write?

Case in point: stick an entire cactus up your urethra Lily.
I need a break from this… I’m moving on to the art misdirection.
Lily you are the one commissioning these panels from Mikayla. Meaning you are telling her how to draw these making you the literal art director of this shitty comic!
You want my advice?
USE MODEL SHEETS
Like holy shit. I need to copy paste my spiel about what it is one second:
Make a turnaround for your character(s)!
(Excluding front and back you need to make left and right versions of the rest!)
Front
Back
over-the-shoulder
3/4 view
profile
expression sheets
color pallet reference
(if it’s online/digital rgb if it’s for print it’s cmyk)
include the hexcodes for artists if it’s a small production!
lineup for height and scale for comparison to:
other characters
backgrounds
props
etc.
elements of the world + floor plan in small settings
action poses
hair guide (trust me it’s important)
these are the elements every artist who wants to tell a visual story be it animated or comic always needs:
✨A PITCH BIBLE✨
And Lily, if you’re making any story that is
A. Tied to an existing property
B. Has real world/geopolitical/historic relation
C. Needing a basic understanding to science
Do everyone and yourself a favor
AND DO YOUR FUCKING RESEARCH IN MLA FORMAT INSTEAD OF SOMEONE ELSES OPINIONS AND YOUR ASS OF HOLDING BULLSHIT!
Class
Dismissed
Your homework is to get these books:

#sillygoblinantics#lily orchard’s pokemadhouse#lily can’t art direct#lily orchard is a bad writer#analyzing madhouse

Chely’s pink crystal mewni fortress cave background
Pink fortress illustration description
The image displays a vibrant pink fortress, reminiscent of a Mewni castle, nestled within a lush landscape. The fortress itself is a multi-tiered structure with numerous turrets, domes, and archways, all rendered in shades of pink, from a soft lavender to a deeper rose. A long, light pink staircase leads up to the main entrance of the castle.
Surrounding the fortress are various elements that enhance its fantastical aesthetic. To the right, there's a tall, slender pink crystal spire adorned with a winding vine and a single rose, giving it an enchanted look. The foreground features a pathway leading to the staircase, flanked by neatly trimmed bushes with pink blossoms, and a tranquil body of water that appears to be a river or stream.
In the background, towering mountains frame the scene, their peaks disappearing into a soft, gradient sky that transitions from a light pink at the horizon to a deeper purple at the top. A striking feature in the background is a massive, carved stone face of a woman, integrated into the side of one of the mountains, adding a mystical or ancient feel to the setting. Two faint stars are visible in the upper right corner of the sky.
The overall style of the image is illustrative and clean, with defined lines and a dreamy, pastel color palette that evokes a sense of fantasy and wonder. It doesn't appear to be pixel art, but rather a digital illustration with a smooth finish.

When most people hear the word “religious extremist,” they think of violence, recruitment, martyrdom, someone trying to convert the world, or destroy part of it in the name of God.
But in Judaism, our extremists… check lettuce for bugs.
They avoid tearing toilet paper on Shabbat.
They won’t eat a soup if it was cooked with the wrong pot.
They learn thousands of laws that most Jews today have never even heard of.
They study from dawn until midnight.
They pray every word in a siddur slowly, carefully, like if they are counting diamonds.
They live around it. They raise their families inside of it. Their entire life flows with halacha — Jewish law.
That’s our “extremism.” they don't conquer. They don't convert. They don't commit violence.
They leads a peaceful, repetitive, structured life, that’s built on restraint, discipline, holiness, and loyalty.
Other religions, once you’re in, you’re in. You can join in five minutes and never do anything again. Say a few words and that’s it — you’re in. It doesn’t require much. You can believe whatever you want as long as you show up sometimes, maybe say a prayer or two.
Judaism however, you can be born into it, have a Jewish mother, a Jewish name, and still lose it, in a single generation.
You just have to stop doing.
Stop marrying Jewish.
Stop keeping anything.
Stop caring.
And just like that, the chain ends.
That’s the part nobody talks about. Judaism is not a loose, feel-good identity you carry in your bio or remember on holidays. It’s a daily responsibility. It’s filled with structure, boundaries, choices. It’s a way of living that literally tells you how to eat, speak, dress, sleep, raise your kids, and yes — even how to be intimate.
People love to borrow pieces of it, the food, the holidays, the stories.
But they don’t want the weight.
They want the aesthetic, not the commitment.
Everyone wants Jewish wisdom, resilience, art, and Jewish depth.
Few want the rules.
Few want the restrictions.
Few want the 613 commandments that hold it all together.
And this is where the Orthodox Jews come in.
They’re not an old-fashioned tribe holding Judaism back.
They’re the ones holding it up.
They marry Jewish so their children will be Jewish.
They send those children to Jewish schools, where they learn Jewish law, history, and Jewish thought.
They build homes where Shabbat isn’t symbolic, it’s a 25-hour reality.
They structure their lives around the rhythm of Jewish time, around holidays, prayer, modesty, purity, community, Torah study.
And while the world may call that extreme, it’s actually the only thing that kept Judaism alive.
Every single Jew today has someone in their family tree who took it seriously enough to pass it on. Someone who didn’t give in to convenience. Someone who sacrificed for it. Someone who carried the full version, not the edited one.
Because Judaism doesn’t survive by accident. It’s too demanding for that.
And here’s something else: no one has Christian DNA. No one has Muslim blood. But we have Jewish DNA. You can test for it, trace it, and see the physical imprint of Jewish peoplehood going back generations.
We are not just a religion. We are a nation, a family, people with shared memory and obligation.
And that memory only survives when someone chooses to carry the whole thing — not just the parts that feel good.
So yes, call it extreme, or too much. But understand this: if it weren’t for those “extremists” — the ones keeping thousands of laws, building Jewish homes, avoiding shortcuts — there’d be nothing left to call Jewish at all.
Our extremists aren’t burning buildings.
They’re lighting candles.
They aren’t radicalizing others.
They’re just trying to raise Jewish kids.
They don’t scream on street corners.
They whisper blessings before every bite of food.
They don’t conquer.
They preserve.
And in a world that’s forgotten what it means to commit, that kind of “extreme” is the most beautiful thing we have left.

THANK YOU FOR 100 FOLLOWERS!!
had to do a special art to celebrate my first milestone as a rw artist :3 long yap and explanation for the red pup below
ever since i began drawing and creating art, i had never really found a community where i felt i fit. anywhere i went, i always felt like i was just kinda sitting on the outside looking in, too afraid to try my hand at getting involved. but when i started obsessing over rain world, my passion for the game overpowered my fears and anxiety and persuaded me to take that leap and try my hand at joining the community proper. since then, ive really felt at home in the community, talking about the game and making art for all of you, and i couldnt be more thankful! genuinely rain world has made me a much more optimistic person by giving me something to be so passionate about, and all of you who have given me and my art any level of acknowledgement and interacted with me have strengthened that passion more and more. im so thankful for each and every one of you, and am excited to make more art and have more discussions about rw in the future :3
NOW in regards to what i said yesterday:
"they get to live as a happy family as well (theres more to that but i will explain it at a later date muehehehe)"
you may notice the pup hunter is holding, that is the biological child of her and arti, named the arbiter!
naturally, as hunter's "father", NSH had always been curious about her potential offspring, and if they would be able to assist him as messengers like their mother. once hunter developed the rot, he abandoned those thoughts as they werent likely to be brought to fruition. however, when hunter returned to his can both cured of the rot and accompanied by a romantic partner, those curious speculations quickly returned to him.
luckily for NSH, one of the reasons the couple had returned to his structure was for possible aid in their quest for a third child. through DNA sampling and modification, NSH was able to take artificer's DNA and provide hunter the means to have a child using those genes and her own, resulting in the later birth of the arbiter, who is raised alongside her older half siblings outlaw and dragonslayer.
aside from being a red slugcat like her mothers, the arbiter is also likely to develop some form of ability later in life, akin to that of artificer's explosive powers or hunter's strength enhancements. NSH was unable to predict what her ability would be, but was able to determine that she would likely begin to develop it approaching adulthood.
tldr CHERRYBOMB PUP IS REAL ‼ ‼ ‼ ‼

Nobuyoshi Araki
"I intend to give priority to instinct over intellect.
Love is an effect of pure human instinct.
If I succeed in taking the woman I love she takes me, two becomes one.
There is no death as pure and serene of that of the one who dies of love.
Love is knowing.
First of all, I try to think of art, starting with love.
Araki's women are all clearly a metaphor for a feeling - love - experienced in its complete and inebriating totality. Reality plays itself in Araki's photography:
Sato - Tell me something, what were you doing just now?
Ai - Me?Nothing?
Sato - Wasn't that a sign language? do you help the handicapped?
Ai - I assist deaf children but above all I study it because I think it's a very beautiful language.
Sato - Ah.
Ai - Now do you want me to stay like this?
Sato - No, wait. Sit down, come on.. How old are you?
Ai - I'm twenty-two
Sato - Twenty-two.. so it is already twenty-two years that you are alive eh...And, tell me, is there something certain, some absolute truth that you have discovered in this long life of yours? I don't means things like the earth rotating on its axis or the structure of DNA..I mean some truth about yourself.
Ai - I have discovered that I don't have any talent, no, no talent.
Sato - Instead I'm forty-four. I have done many things...thing, things of all kinds, and of all kinds, I have discovered a truth, just one truth. Do you want to know what it is? I have discovered that I am a bastard pig. Go take your shower.
..
In Araki's photography the woman, the female figure, rises up over everything surrounding, so great is the energy, the incommensurable strength that she emanates.
..
Sato - We'll do it again.
Ai - Yes, but you have paid me too much-
Sato - Yes, I know, but don't worry about that.
Ai - Thanks.
Sato - Wait, listen... You know something: It's not true that that you don't have any talents, you only think to give yourself an alibi. Take care of you.
Ai - Yes."
Dialogue taken from the film Tokyo Decadence (Tokyo decadence Topaz) Japan, 1991.

OMG I'VE BEEN THINKING OF A GINGA INSPIRED STORY TOO do you have fun doggy lore you're willing to share? :O
DO I, it's very loose atm I just have the story structure, but I'm excited to flesh it out. It'll follow the embodiement of the CTVT (canine transmissible venereal tumor). I've kind of been obsessed with the way u could narrativise it since I saw this video. This is like a gross simplification of it but basically it's a transmissible tumor that's existed for a long long long time, and holds bits of dna from very early species of dog (wikipedia summary here ect).
I'm very much focused on the living tumor dog aspect so any of the actual science abt like rare transmisseable tumors I won't be going into. And I'll also be making it less graphic bc it is a tumor that effects genitals primarily, would vastly recommend not looking up images.
The virus is born, it doesn't know when it came into consciousness first. But it knows it is alive now. It inhabits the bodies of dogs and gets passed down onto their children, and split into the bodies of their children too. Exists across split lives. But it picks who it is most interested in to inhabit. Like a child crying out and getting ignored, it begins to stop vying for attention from its host. Maybe originally it decides on a particular host it gets invested in, acts like it has become a part of their life. It first follows a group of paleolithic dogs who have decided to riskily attempt hunting a mammoth.
It's easy to ignore that it isn't part of the world, caught up in the thrill of this hunt. But when the dust settles, it doesn't get to take a bite of mammoth meat. It doesn't get to lick its lips and pad on home surrounded by the warm bodies of the other cave dogs. As it feels its form being left behind near the bones of the mammoth. The host is happy, the host is about to start a family, as he touches noses to his mate, the virus snaps and the virus strikes.
Timeskip to an apocalypse story, very silly radiated setting
The apocalypse story stops being as cleanly about friendship, there is a scattered war between two distinct groups of mutated dogs, the waste dogs and the ant dogs. I would like to do something about completely fruitless self sacrifice, those parts of ginga where they all try play heroics abt killing themselves in battle, it wipes out every single dog there, leaving traumatized survivors too bitter to continue. Um also the ant dogs trained themselves to fight based off watching ants. and wasps. they can lift many times their own weight with their jaws bc it's ginga and there has to be batshit dog shounen in there.
Another timeskip to a lone survivor of the world, East, who's an old wolf character I've had for a while. Her design (old art here) was initially based of ginga designs long before I got into it. Something something the virus actually directly talks to East bc she is the last canine alive carrying him. Probably have some kind of strange, somber and bitter relationship before dying out in a frozen waste.
Naturally I'm playing w a lot of old dog avatar makers for these designs, to get into the spirit of the whole thing. LMAO. I want to keep it short and sweet but I am very excited to play with these animals. The virus/tumor is probably gonna be a mewtwo type character, I need to figure out some kind of insane design for it.
#ginga story#i think the virus in practice will just be some kinda like. oh you just had babies? you're going to explode into blood and viscera#type thing. but this is still all insanely early so who knows

//CN & TW server spoilers, GLB server miscs
I was overwhelmed to make any rounded post but I will try to make sense now XD
Anyway first in order, the one we wait the most when April arrives is here! Artem!

The theme for 5th Bday related to their early career, so I was hoping for Junior Attorney Artem because we did see bits from his Intern/Graduate Attorney Era in Day and Night SSR and Belle Nuit d'Amour SSR, and we know how he is as Senior Attorney now. He mentioned that he was more like her back then in Dream & Hereafter card, and a soon-to-retired attorney told Rosa about Artem style used to being a bit aggressive (they were talking about chess but it's not hard to see, it's also about his approach as attorney too). Also in line with a past we read in Day and Night SSR, someone who doesn't even think of the risk he might face because there is someone who needs his help and his lines in the 5th Bday PV!! I need to dissect his mind (very very fond)
I am very excited about this card, especially with the artemrosa art very much a callback to Belle Nuit d'Amour pre evol, i can't wait to pull it and I hope it delivers story-wise!!

Also finished the rerun free mr a few days ago and you definitely can get it for free again but there is no s-chips and namecard in rerun.
And the baby zuo ran puzzle..... so soft

Well, Zuo Ran's 5th Birthday event starts like April 18, so that's Friday business. I already secured funds to get it XD
Now, about the GLB server LOL
Usually I didn't address it much but some special cases since two unexpected features came earlier.
First of all, Flight of Fancy feature.

Every ML garden (this is an old screenshot tbh) where collecting nectar that eventually gathers itself, so it will reach 100% to unlock the page of the story (there are four pages per story).
Very easy feature, in general, level up skills/structure (25%/50%/75% you will get currency to level it up), collecting nectar (don't let it reach limit so it can keep gathering) then get the ornaments for the garden after finished stories (like the one marked with hands in my screenshot).
Skill/Structure I am talking about (I am currently unlocking newest lu jinghe story in tw server)

In this update, there should be two stories: One related to Main Story and from ML POV and the other one from Outsider POV.
I am very much an absolute shill for Main Story, so I always encourage everyone to read that first. It's the story with these illustrations:

(XZML ENGRAVED IN DNA)
If my mind doesn't fail me, it should be like this for the one related to the Main Story:
Zuo Ran - Post Chapter 6
Mo Yi - During Chapter 13
Xia Yan - Post Chapter 12
Lu Jinghe - During Chapter 12
Please read everyone's story because I genuinely enjoy them all!
Now the second feature, Memories of Love and Card Milestone Reward
I will be honest.... this is genuinely baffling simultaneously also the most hilarious decisions LOL
Because the Card Mksupposed to be after every ML's Dream & Hereafter series roll out. Baffling decisions because the current GLB server cards, none of the ML/All ML whaler would reach the namecard yet wwww
Anyway because it's here anyway, here how it will look:

For the reward itself, basically each card has points and each rarity has a certain amount of points, such as:
SSS: 50
SSR: 30
SR/MR: 8
R: 1
The reward for the card collecting is:
Badge: 300 points
Avatar Frame: 600 points
Cursor Effect: 1000 points
Namecard: 1600 points
In-between there is S-chips and materials.
Please note that it only works for the first one, the copy that comes after that is not counted.
For example for counting: in my TW acc, for Artem, I have 2 SSS, 8 SSR, 9 SR, 3MR and 12 R
So it's:
2 x 50= 100
8 x 30 = 240
9 x 8 = 72
3 x 8 = 24
12 x 1 = 12
Total: 448

Side notes, Cursor effect is for tap tap animation and it's like this:
Anyway that should be all, I am not sure if people read my post that much but I hope it helps.
P.S.: After Artem's 4th Birthday, it definitely is Forever Young 4SSR event. Prepare your pulls XD
See you later ^^
