In just a couple of weeks I'll be attending @stormtheblock festival!! I’m so hyped, cannot wait to meet you all in person! 🎊 there’s going to be a lot of surprises 👀
Thanks to Women in Animation's NYC Chapter, I will be selling my work at MoCCA Fest this weekend alongside many talented artists at tables #52, 53, and 54! I won't be in on Saturday, but I will be floating around the venue Sunday afternoon and may occasionally stop by the table if you want to come say hi.
Here's the finished piece!
This past weekend I got to go to the Winter Capital Art and Craft Festival! It was packed full of wonderful artists. I got to meet @elementalchoice and see their gorgeous art. If you like what I do, you should check them out!

I had an assignment in art class I think three or so weeks ago? I don't remember but pretty much the assignment was to draw something, anything and write words through it. The words could be anything school appropriate. Could be one word over and over or a sentence.
I was inspired by Mandela catalog and made this. She liked it so much that she wanted to put it as an entry for an art festival! And even greater new- she showed all the entries to her friend and they liked mines so much that they want to BUY IT!!
We're waiting to see if my work would be accepted in the festival so the friend can pay once it's over (in May) if it's not accepted it would be a bummy but that also means I can sell it to the friend sooner. I show it once I get the news!
Gail Winbury at the Wilson Museum at the Southern Vermont Arts Center in Manchester, Vermont, USA through 25 February 2023. “The Girl Who Drew Memories” situates Gail Winbury’s art at the intersection of vulnerability and creativity. Her large-scale abstract paintings and prolific collage work transform what is often inexpressible into resonant narratives in visual form, expanding how we make sense of our memories, emotions, and lived experiences. Original poetry composed by local writers in response to her work will further animate the galleries as will an interactive makerspace where visitors can engage directly in the playful process of collage. Kolaj Magazine, a full color, print magazine, exists to show how the world of collage is rich, layered, and thick with complexity. By remixing history and culture, collage artists forge new thinking. To understand collage is to reshape one's thinking of art history and redefine the canon of visual culture that informs the present.
