Hello!

I'm Ames, and I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! Welcome!

This is not an official blog of the Church of Jesus Christ, but I am an official member! I set up this blog because I have recently seen a lot of misunderstandings about the Church of Jesus Christ and what we its members believe, so I thought I'd set this up to clarify! This blog will be just for discussion, not debate- I'm not trying to win anything, just explain what we believe and why we believe it. You are of course welcome to disagree; no hard feelings! As one of the explanations of our church states, "We claim the privilege of worshipping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, when, or what they may." (Articles of Faith 11)

This blog supports and will discuss the doctrine of the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ and its policies. Any answers I have that do not have references to either scriptures, policies, or official teachings from the leaders of the church will be marked as "Speculation", although I will do my best to keep my speculation aligned to the teachings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

You may have heard us referred to as "Mormons" or the "LDS Church", which are both incorrect nicknames, but I understand- "A Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints" is quite a mouthful! So, I refer you to the official style guide on how to refer to us:

When a shortened reference is needed, the terms "the Church" or the "Church of Jesus Christ" are encouraged. The "restored Church of Jesus Christ" is also accurate and encouraged.

But why does this matter? It's commonly misunderstood that members of the Church of Jesus Christ are not Christian, but that couldn't be further from the truth. So, by reminding people of the full name of the Church, we hope to get rid of this misconception.

Please feel free to ask anything! I won't respond to questions in bad faith or post hate- this isn't a victim/I'm so righteous look at these mean people who are persecuting me blog, but a place for clarification and information, so I will do my best!

I hope to have this be a place where both members (including me!) and people who aren't members can be brought closer to Christ. I believe in Jesus Christ- that He is the Son of God, born of Mary, who taught His Father's words and performed miracles, who suffered for our sins, died on the cross, and was resurrected on the third day. I believe that He restored His church after it had fallen away, despite the best efforts of its members to be faithful, and that He restored His church through Joseph Smith, and still gives revelation on how to lead His church through living prophets today. I believe that the Bible is the Word of God as far as it is translated correctly, and that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and His Divinity, and is an example of His love and proof of the restoration of His gospel. I believe with all my heart that Jesus Christ loves everyone on this earth individually, even me.

I spent a lot of time thinking about things like claws in humanoid hands and how to take carnivore teeth and make them fit for an omnivore and how cat ears can properly fit on humanoid heads.

A lot of the choices I made on how inhuman I could go were based on "Kory is a supermodel and therefore nothing obvious can be too out there or she wouldn't be hired as a model" (aka why I've gone w plantigrade feet over digitigrade)

The super fluffy cold zone model is just me having fun cause I was very restrained on fluff when it came to Kory and Kom. They are much less shiny because of the longer fur and the under layer.

Has the competition for ranking in the domestic entertainment industry reached the Magnolia Awards?

Similarly, the crew of "South to North" should also report the top two male actors with the most roles, Bai Jingting and Ding Yongdai.

On May 31, Nandu Entertainment reported that an insider said that the "War of Faith" crew did report Wang Yibo and Wang Yang for the best actor. Both Bai Jingting and Wang Yibo appeared in the second round of voting for the best actor of this year's Magnolia Award, but after the review vote, they did not enter the final shortlist.

Where did the controversy come from?

Judging from the protests of Wang Yibo's fans, the biggest controversy is that fans believe that Wei Ruolai, played by Wang Yibo in "War of Faith", is the absolute and only male lead. In addition to the first leading actor on the official list, the "first lead" recognized by fans also includes whether the script content revolves around the only protagonist, whether the protagonist has the most scenes, whether the various trailers released spend the most time on the first lead, and whether the above recognition has been mentioned in the interview with the main creators, etc.

However, in the selection rules of the Magnolia Awards, it is mentioned that if there are indeed multiple male protagonists or multiple female protagonists, the maximum number of people to be reported is 2, and all must occupy a relatively large part in the play. People who are keen on "ranking" mistakenly equate the rank with the value of the actors, and regard the ranking as an important capital for business negotiations and rights protection. However, the rank is only the "face", and what is truly recognized by the industry or even passers-by is the "inside". The so-called "number one" and "only male and female protagonists" do not equal achievements, nor can they directly bring exposure, growth opportunities and business resources.

victoria secret is truly living up the all female lineup it has set for this show. as soon after release the musical lineup for this show, they posted on their instagram;

“it truly a honor to work with such a multitalented woman as faith, to make our newest collection. while we can’t give too much away this collection will include both women, male and pet attire and appeal” with two photos of faith sitting down with members of vs publicity team and design teams

God and yearning

Desperation is a funny thing. It is funny when you are desperate for the most normal things. Like fresh air or a hug from your dad. I think it is funny. Because who are we without desperation? There are words to describe the feeling, and other words that are not similar but mean the same in poetry. Like yearning or love. Sickness or health are the same to me. On the inside we all suffer. But from what exactly? From God's creations or from him? Is God even real? Am I real? The real questions are the ones questioning life as it is. What we call normal isn’t questioned at all. Like why do we feel the need to be loved and be married? I have always wondered that. In my girlhood diary I would ask God to come down and answer these questions. He of course wouldn’t, because I was not Joan of Arc, and he seemed to not be answering me. I thought he would give me a sign but instead forced me to remember the soulless eyes my father had given me when I was born. So, when people ask me about God, I cannot explain it to them. But I know I am desperate for answers and yearning for love. 

Confusion. I don’t know who I am. I know about my hair color and eyes that speak different languages, one of them including poetry. But I can’t find myself. I find myself in fragments of my memory. I’d take the body of a six-year-old me who performed and had fun with my brother, but I’m fourteen now and I somehow feel the same as I did before. I wasn’t very happy when I was younger. Always felt like I could be doing so much more. I could have gotten that from either my mother or father, because while my mother was nursing me, I could taste her thoughts. I would wonder what I truly felt in those moments, because maybe I would finally find myself. But all I could focus was on everyone else and what they truly felt. It’s a lonely life. When you spend most of your time on earth wondering what everyone is feeling, thinking they felt the same about you, when in reality they were staring at you, thinking about what to have after dinner. It is a lonely life just being a person who begs and never receives. I act strong, but at the end of the day I still see me begging for my life to be taken away. God never answered anyways, so what was the point of anything? I hate being who I am. The person who stands on the sidelines, asking when will this end. Everyone has their own complex life, but their lives are more important than yours and sometimes I have issues remembering that. I expected to be loved and put first, but everyone will always have someone they wanted first. I sacrificed being happy for people I loved and liked, while they sacrificed their time to talk to me. How annoying that must be (note the sarcasm). Oh, how I hate me.

Life. The happiest yet frustrating thing on earth. I haven’t experienced much of the happier points of life. I’m sick of waiting. But then again, I am sick all over. My body likes to starve itself and I have scars from nights I don’t talk about. MY head is sick, it is full of what I could have been. Happy. My parents brought life into this world selfishly. My mother always told me how she prayed for me, because she wanted me badly. But during that time, my mother and father almost hated each other. They still got me. And they hoped for someone I am not. They expected for me to come out perfect. But I came out just like them. When my mother looks at me, she sees what she could have had. When my father looks at me, he sees what he does have. And that's a pretty bad sight. 

Love. Something I dread. Something I hate. Something I wish would come to me but in a distance. Love is confusion, desperation and life. Without it, I’d be lost. I am desperate for love, confused by it and need in my life. Love is a dangerous thing to want. If you pray hard enough, God might get confused and give you a man who thinks his genitalia is special and a gift to all women. I do not believe my parents were ever in love. My mother does not know what it looks like and my father wanted to settle down. Nobody prepared him for what was about to come. Diapers, arguments, and actually settling down. My father never wanted this life. I would look at my own relationships. Where I liked a guy in middle school, but he only liked my boobs and face. I was lusted over before being loved. Even now I get confused when a man tells me he thinks I am pretty. I do not know what to say about love. Because God and my father are sounding too much alike. I worshipped them, I knelt before them, and yet, I have no response. What is love actually? Is it a distraction or is it true? Is red a romantic color? If so, if I bled and ripped my heart out and gave it to you. Would you run or bite it? What is your version of love? What is life and everything in between?
