Transformer headcanon:

On wearing clothes with their colors/ designs and motifs and showing it to your cybertronian partner.

A/N: I FUCKING MISSED MEGATRONS BIRTHDAY *this is to make up for my sins* also sorry if Bee's part seems rushed.

Megatron:

Armor

You had to get it specially commissioned, which took a lot of design.

You had to have it made of metal, too. It was pretty heavy, even though the group that made it said the armor was lighter.

You wore silver, slightly heeled, thigh-high boots. Some of your thighs were exposed but covered with black fabric. Like him, you had matching sharp shoulder pads. You had a medium-length skirt tass in the back of your armor instead of armor in the front that matched his modesty planting.

Your Breast planting matched his chassis; you had the Decepticon symbol in the same spot as he was.

The final piece to match him was a Valkyrie-styled tiara with the same spikes on his helm.

You were so excited to show him it, hoping he would like it. Currently waiting in his Habisuite, sitting on his desk, looking at the shiny metal on the walls to see your blurry reflection.

Soon enough, you heard his booming footsteps approaching the door. A hiss sounded off, and you spun around and stood up as tall as possible while trying to calm your nerves.

He's still looking at the data pad in his hand while he walks over to the desk and sits down; you strut up to his arm to get his attention, pressing yourself on him the best you can.

He sets down the data pad when he notices the hard silver on his arm; he ex vents a bit louder for you to be able to see while giving you a lustful once-over

You twirl a little when you lift yourself off of him; you step up directly in front of him, and he lifts one of his servos to drag the tip of his digit over your upper thigh armor. You drag the tip of his finger to the matching Decepticon symbol on your chest, and he lets out an appreciative sigh at the sight of it.

He leans his helm down and kisses you and your armor before he speaks

"What a lovely Decepticon you make."

Optimus prime

It came in a pair of gogo boots and a matching jacket

You gave yourself one last look over in the mirror before you went out to meet with Optimus

He was finally free from most of his meetings on the newly built Cybertron government for the week, so he sent out a message to you.

His message was perfect timing as you finished your little surprise for him. You smooth out the leather of the jacket and zip up the boots.

You told him to wait at the base and that you'd meet him there. You grab your skateboard and make the fifteen-minute commute in relative silence. Walking through the special entrance for humans, you watch the lights of the ceiling.

You arrive at his room and text him quickly, telling him you are outside. The doors swish open, startling you. Peering inside, you see him looking at data pads at his desk, still doing work when he was supposed to be taking a break.

You walk closer to where he's sitting before giving a whistle to grab his attention. He looks down at you, and his optics widen when he sees your clothes; he leans over and grabs you to look closer.

He ex vents softly while taking it all in. You match his finish. A cute little mini him in human form that's all his. It makes his spark beat so fast in his chassis.

He presses his helm against your head before he whispers to you,

"My little Prime."

Bumblebee

A Yellow and Black Varsity Jacket

The jacket had his numbers alongside his name on the sleeves of it

It took forever to find the jacket that perfectly matched his colors; you just took it upon yourself to sew on all the decals that represent your alien lover.

You're sitting around the Autobot base while waiting for Bee; you showed Ratchet the jacket, and he gave you a small smile before returning to work.

Three vehicles pulled in, and you raced to the yellow one.

Their younger human charges got out of them, and the Cybertronians transformed into their bipedal mode

Miko and Raf noticed your jacket first; Miko excitedly pointed it out to the rest before asking you to make one for her and Bulkhead; you whispered to Raf that you'd let him borrow it when it was just him and Bee.

You told Jack that maybe him and Arcee could have a matching biker jacket for him, she chuckled with a small huff

The five of them walked off, and your lover and you were left. He hadn't made a single beep since they arrived; you tilt your head at him and smile. He leans down to pick you up; sitting in his palm, he moves the jacket's fabric slightly to look at all the words representing him.

He brings you close to his face and beeps out a sweet 'I love you.' just for you and him.

A teenage girl who is around 15 moved to Japan to America that her parents got a new job from America.

Her parents are busy with their job to pay attention to their daughter.

Miko has a different preference of fashion choices that owns a lot of clothes in her closet.

When Miko is on a school trip she caught a glimpse of a three wheel motor cycle that made her amazed at it as she sat down to take a selfie the Decepticon in disguise pulled up as the motorcycle began to drive,Miko is flabbergasted as she held onto it.

The Motorcycle is Wasp as he revealed himself thought that Miko is scared but she is excited to see a cool robot that made Wasp speechless that she isn't screaming.

Wasp and Miko would get along and be troublemakers but Wasp a bully that Miko would scolded him.

The daughter of the scientist that creates robots as a teenager don't worry Megatron didn't crash landed on earth in my AU but Sari is still a half Cybertronian human that is similar to android.

Still Indian but with a curly hair genetics with coconut oil she watches spiderverse with Pavitar Prabhakar.

She goes to the same school as Sam and Miko who are her first friend since she is homeschooled by her dad robots.

Raf is her childhood best friend when Sari goes to elementary school for the first time.

When Sari goes home Stinger was about to run over her but Bumblebee ended up rescuing her as she is shock seeing a vehicle robot for the first time as they get along pretty well.

Sam Witwicky

A boy who is related to Spike and Daniel Witwicky are his relatives (Uncle and cousin) that he resembles more to Spike than his dad.

Ron is Spike Eldest Brother who is the father of Sam Witwicky.

He wears goggles and Rain boots from his uncle.

He is a nervous boy who stammers a lot but brave that he he would sacrifice everything.

Sam is a nerd who loves aliens and space however dreams may not come true having parents who embarrassed him when they came into his room without permission when he is busy inventing his inventions.

You have never had to fix so many vehicles before, until you met the Autobots. You never wanted to tell them, but Cybertronian anatomy was actually easy to learn to help Ratchet with the minor injuries these idiots get from missions. You own your very own Mechanic shop and the bots just make it less boring when they come to visit. Optimus was very respectful to you and rarely visits, but after some deep discussions you both have with each other, he will come by to see you a lot more now a days.

Right now you are giving an oil change for someone when you see from the corner of your eye the red, white and blue truck pulling up. The smile that grew on your face said it all and you finished the guys truck, got paid, and let him leave your garage. Walking outside with your o/c overalls (overall color), you pat the front of the hood and greet your big truck friend. "Hi big guy! What you in for?" You wait patiently as he transforms and looks around. "Hello y/n. I came to drop off some parts for your work. Agent Fowler said it's for Bumblebee when he comes in."

You have lifted so much weight off Ratchet's back by giving the mechs their own check ups and basic plating care routines. You have noticed that you haven't given Optimus a full check yet, but you figured it was because the man was very private about his body. You heard from a lot of his friends that he rarely likes to be touched and they blame it on him being a Prime. It didn't matter to you though, you just wanted him to feel comfortable around his new environments and relax. "Well why don't you come in? I closed for the night so no one is coming around anytime soon." Your shop close really late and it's in the middle of no where. Just outside of Jasper was just your mechanic shop, a mini gas station, and the desert. You liked how peaceful it was here, and the autobot base is actually close by, so anytime the kids need a place to stay they could always come to you for a sleep over. You lived in the back of your shop, but you didn't mind. It was like a cozy apartment inside your home with a tv, kitchen, bedroom, and your own bathroom so you didn't need to use the shops public restroom. It wasn't much, but the quiet nature of it made it feel like a luxury to you. Anyway Optimus walks over and sits just outside of the garage as you pull up a chair and grab your microwaved dinner. "So, any new stories you need to tell me? How are the kids?"

You both talk for what seemed like hours. It was so nice to get to be with him again, but what you didn't know is he felt the same way about you. You listened to everything he said and gave such good advice. What he loved most about humans was their empathy, and you had a lot of it. You played a lot of music with your vintage record player and he loved to just close his eyes and listen to the sweet music…made him forget about the war for a few hours. You NEVER talked about the war with him, unless he talked about it first. Being the person you were, you never wanted to talk to someone about deep things unless they initiated it first, a lot of people find dark topics to be uncomfortable to talk about and you knew Optimus was an awkward person. "Hey, thanks for the shipment. Speaking of, I have some new tires for you if you ever wanted to get some new ones yourself. Treat yourself and get something good once in a while to make you feel better." You eat your food, waiting for an answer as he got quiet to think about it. "I don't want to bother you about it y/n. It's very late." He spoke to you like he was such a nuisance. You wanted to change that ever since this man met you. Standing up, you grab your tool box and throw your empty container into the trash. "Transform and come on in, I can hook you up with some good classic black tires! Nothing flashy I promise."

He obeyed and did just that, transforming, and driving inside your garage. He has never done this before, so he may be a little nervous doing this with a human mechanic. It's not that he didn't trust you personally, he was just worried a human wouldn't know how to change Cybertronian tires. What Optimus didn't know, was that you have been taking classes from Ratchet and reading books in translation to help yourself understand how to do everything. You already practice changing tired on Bumblebee and Arcee, so this was going to be a piece of cake for you. Opening the tool box you walk over and hook him onto the big machine. He didn't know what it was for at first until his entire body gets lifted a few feet off the ground. "Are you sure this will hold?" You chuckle from how anxious he was and pat his bumper. "You'll be fine I promise, Fowler hooked me up with some expensive tech so this baby can hold a plane." You put on gloves and start to get to work.

After about two hours, you clean off the last tire and lower him to the ground. He was a big mech so you made sure you lowered him slowly and you see the tires pressing against the shops floors. "Aaaaaand we are done! Now I already sprayed them and put some air in them so you won't have to come back for another check up in-" You interrupt yourself when you heard nothing coming out of him. You could sense that he wasn't listening so you press your hand on his door. "Hey, you ok? Optimus?" That was when you heard a soft noise coming out of his engine…he was asleep. You smiled from the cute moment that is happening right now and you grab a tarp from the back. It was a nice giant blue tarp that is used to protect vehicles from weather conditions as you draped it over his entire body. Going inside the kitchen, you make yourself a cup of hot chocolate as you go back outside into the garage to sit yourself by the desk you have. You take a sip of the mug and place it on the table, grabbing a pen to start drawing for your next blueprint idea. You look back at the sleeping prime that was in your garage. "Sweet dreams Optimus…love you." You go back to work as what you don't see is him flustered on the inside. He woke up when you gave him the blanket…and now he plans to visit you everyday from now on.

I've laid into Earthspark a lot as the series progressed, particularly as it became clearer and clearer that the show was a bomb. All that being said, I'm also curious how much blame is going to be retroactively placed on the Terrans for existing and being used to push the family theme. It's also worth looking at the chance of actually seeing these characters again, even as regular Autobots. Discussion under the cut:

Let's start with Twitch, who I think has a decent chance of being seen again, but is actually sort of endemic of a lot of IDW style "we're making stories, making things too toyetic is bad" design and writing. Twitch has a lot of personality, and I think that personality may make her attractive for writers. She's also a fembot who has made a fairly positive impression with fans, rather than being a source of discourse.

The problem with Twitch is her alt mode more than anything. She's a drone. A really simple, small one, mind you, that isn't very complex. Any simpler and it would be a Happy Meal toy. While not every character needs to have a $100-$200 toy for it, even Bumblebee started to get more elaborate vehicle modes once he became a focus character in the movies with the Camaro design being far more complex than his old mini-bot figure. Still, a redesign is probably a lot easier than a rewrite of her character. So she has a good chance of appearing.

Thrash - Twitch's brother, who was reduced to something of a background character and is pretty forgettable. A bike with a sidecar is a fairly decent alt-mode but he's not someone fans will likely be clamoring for. Not entirely his fault, but he both escapes the controversy and negative opinion of some of his Terran siblings, while also not being interesting enough to garner demand for an appearance.

Hashtag - Presumably earmarked as a replacement for Blaster now that boom boxes aren't really a thing, Hashtag has been derided by the fandom as obnoxious, annoying, and looking like a cube. Also, Season 2 made her a hypocrite. She may be firmly in the Windblade zone, a fembot whose poor media outings have made her very difficult to use, except Hashtag being a kid and a cube probably isn't getting a FlameToys release ever.

Nightshade - Well, let's get this one over with. Nightshade is probably considered radioactive by Hasbro ever since this -

The non-binary owl was the subject of a Fox News report and was probably the only mainstream attention Earthspark got in the mass media. Not a great look. The funny thing is that this isn't the last non-binary character in Transformers media, as Shredhead, a character from the Skybound comics, uses they/them pronouns because they identify as a group of sparks merged together into one being (think Ermac from Mortal Kombat, who refers to themselves as "We"). And they were introduced over a year after Nightshade's controversy, meaning that any negativity Hasbro faced over the character's pronouns did not deter them from making another non-binary character.

Why does one character become a pariah and the other gets lauded? It's not about them being non-binary, but rather, in Nightshade's case, talking about being non-binary seemed to be most of their character for most people on the outside looking in.

Meanwhile, Shredhead introduces themselves as THE SWORD THAT CLEAVES EVIL.

Nightshade is radioactive, but Shredhead could easily be seen in an adaptation if they last long enough in Skybound. Presumably being introduced well, shredding Decepticons with their sword.

Kind of like that. "My name is Shredhead, THE SWORD THAT CLEAVES EVIL!" is simply a more dynamic introduction than "My name is Nightshade, my pronouns are they/them."

Jawbreaker - For a character who is often seen as meek and bullied by the other Terrans, Jawbreaker likely has the easiest route to being used again. He's a Dinobot. And there have been numerous attempts to expand the Dinobots outside of the core of Grimlock, Swoop, Slag, Sludge, and occasionally Snarl. Jawbreaker could easily fit the kid brother concept, completely divorcing him from the Terrans in favor of being a fill in for characters like Skar who never quite reached full acceptance as part of the group with the fandom. It would actually be ironic that the one the show goes out of its way to trash at times ends up with the brightest future.

So yeah, two bots with a decent chance, two bots who likely won't be used again, and one who very likely won't be used again because they have a superior counterpart.

Do you have an concepts of what Alpha Trions estate looks like?

Nothing HUGE persay, I have some -distant shrieking- from my time being my mom's CAD person when she was designing the family bungalow (and the one time I designed schematics for a fort from scratch right down to the square foot, I'm dyin Scoob), so for my sanity, gomen, let's just say Alpha Trion's estate from the exterior most closely resembles a slightly (ie. just enough so that the French Heritage Society doesn't cap his ass) refurbished French chateau in Normandy based off the Vaux-le-Vicomte.

There are five levels, including two underground, which are more vast than the overground structure. About 30 rooms are in residential use, both long-term (Autobots who stay on base) and short-term (Autobots or allies who are posted worldwide and occasionally visit for meetings/research exchange). The rest includes but are not limited to:

A medical wing (ground floor)

A mini library (ground floor)

A War room/Command Centre (first floor)

Two meeting rooms (first floor)

Armory (basement 1)

R&D laboratories (A separate structure within the grounds connected to the main building, due to frequent Wheeljack-induced mishaps)

An X-Men style Danger Room for indoor training sessions (basement 1)

A mess hall (ground floor)

Transport bay (basement 2, houses their team jet, the Altairun's* personal jets and the Protegonauts'** vehicles mostly)

Record room (basement 1)

Supply room (basement 2)

Rec room (ground floor)

Trion's workspace where he's creating a digital version of the Library of Alexandria (basement 1)

Brig (separate smaller structure attached to building)

Backup generator room (basement 2)

Trion's Turbofoxes Lelaps and Tomyris patrol the grounds and serve as part of security. The estate is also protected by energy shields. About 2km from it to the north is where you'll find the coastline with refurbished bunkers that house the Dinomachae*** and the Wreckers, who prefer to live on their own terms off-base, but close enough that aid can be rendered both ways. They also serve as a first line of defense if attacks are to come from the ocean-side of the HQ. About 5km away is the nearest town (whose residents have close contact with Alpha Trion, who is considered something of their patron), where the Protegonauts live as their own unit and work on a daily basis (save First Aid, who commutes to work with Ratchet every day. Hotspot lives on his own, while First Aid rooms with Groove and Streetwise rooms with Blades). This is also where you'll find Nightbeat running his investigations under cover of a private detective enterprise. * - Aerialbots ** - Protectobots *** - Dinobots

Ok ok ok your "Humans of Transformers franchise are space orcs" rant is out of this world.

I detest with passion when humans are reduced to pets and plot devices when instead the story could be about two alien species finding one another equally amazing/terrifying for their own respective reasons.

Here is my question: do humans and Cybertronians see how eerily similar they are? They have love of music, familial relationships, similar urban infrastructure, societal structure, financial systems, competitive entertainment, organized societies and war, colonialism, recreational intercourse, marriage...

Not to mention, why was it never addressed how similar both species look: bipedal, waists, noses, cheekbones, 5 fingers, chins, facial expressions and sense of aesthetics and beauty? Sure, humans have hair but in rather strategic places.

Veins and wires, blood and energon, metal and flesh, nanobytes and blood cells, Sparks and brain impulses, sexual organs...

Imagine Autobots arrive on Earth for the first time expecting some primitive cave-dwellers, only to encounter a less advanced mini-version of Cybertronian cities (New York, Singapore, London, Rome, Tokyo, Rio, Dubai...) and societies running on scientific, artistic and philosophical development which has no right existing on the ruthless, all-organic planet such as Earth is. Societes run by creatures who 4.000.000 (the duration of their war) years ago were hanging from the trees btw.

Autobots would be terrified.

Lemme make sure this response saves this time, cause it took me a minute to answer cause my first deleted and I had so much written I got unbelievably angry and refused to even look at the tumblr app.

But here we are.

So, this is EXACTLY what I have been thinking about for who k owe how long. It’s also the intro to this wack as fuck universe idea I’ve had in my head a while, and have kinda hinted at in my other works, but I’ve never gone into detail about.

And I still won’t.

Anyways, yes. It’s crazy that we backlit humans so much when any other sentient species is about. Transformers, TMNT, etc (I’m on a one track mind, feel free to jot down any other fandoms I can’t think of). The main theme of these stories? HUMANS SUCK. And that is severely unfair. People want to cry about how much our generation doesn’t give a shit anymore. Have you SEEN the media we feed kids???

That’s why I live Humans are Space Orcs so much. It really puts into perspective how unique and batshit our species is.

So, onto the Transformers vs humans concepts. The ONLY reason (forgoing technoism and general hate towards organics) cybertronians don’t see humanity as an imminent threat, or one in general, is because of size. WE BE SMALL AF. Can’t blame them, I get it. We do the same. Insects? Fuck them mfs.

But have you seen a botfly or tick burrow into your skin? The infection that comes form that? Have you seen ants jump a small animal as a colony and absolutely shred it? Or a spider only biting you, and the horror the venom causes (recluses and huntsman’s specifically). We have a good fucking reason for disliking these mfs.

But transformers? These are organic experiences. Worst they go through are rust infections, spark death, the works. They are not at risk the same way we are. That is why they view organics as small and inconsequential. They have no idea how hard we fight to simply stay alive.

And now the similarities. It’s understandable that they wouldn’t immediately recognize the physical, cultural, and psychological similarities between our species. Transformers are an incredibly diverse race, like any other. But specifically in physical form. Your average cybertronian holds a similar appearance to your average human. We tend to have the same features, just with different names. Eyes, noses, faceplates, ears, two arms, two legs. Sure that’s average for them too. But they are unique because of the fact that they have two forms. Vehicle mode. Their mode decides what they’re second mode looks like, which can create extreme diversity is appearance. Small, large, many limbed or not.

So the immediate similarities probably wouldn’t jump out to them in an odd way. There’s also the idea that because they’re so spread out in the universe, they’ve seen other organic races that are also similar. Pairs of every body part could be the common denominator among species.

That goes culturally too. War, love, music, government, politics, it’s all a natural form of sentient evolution. Another common denominator. It’s how it’s done that makes it unique. And the similarities between human and cybertronian culture is uncomfortably familiar.

I think that’s why cybertronians are seen being closest with humans rather than other species in the shows and comics (obviously because the audience is human and they need relation to characters but shhhh forget that for a sec). This is where the theories start.

Let’s say cybertronians begin to recognize the weird similarities between our species. The really, really weird stuff. The itty bitty details. Like:

- how we also mainstream kissing on the lips as the top tier romantic gesture.

- use verbal tone and cues for our language.

- have intensely complicated interpersonal relationships in the exact same manner.

- suffer from extreme mental health issues like depression, anxiety, PTSD (I totally headcannon that forms of adhd, autism, and ocd exist in cybertronian society, have y’all not seen my boy rodimus prime??)

- will also destroy each other in the name of our gods, until we have a common enemy.

That’s just the basics I could come up with. The only time I actually saw a moment where a transformer genuinely take a moment to realize that humans can be a threat, was in transformers prime. Episode 6 of beast wars (I think, correct me if wrong), where Miko beats the ever loving fuck out of an insecticon (I think) and upon Megatron hearing this, just goes blank Kubrick stare for a hot second. Man had an ugly realization that did not fit in with anything he had experienced his whole life.

AND THEY NEVER FUCKING ADDRESSED IT EVER AGAIN. Sick of this shit. Could’ve had the most badass character development, where the humans actually proved useful and did something (it would have fit Milo’s character so perfectly too) and scared the utter shit out of the transformers. BUT NO. They continue to be annoying as fuck.

One thing I loved about TF Prime was that it canonically turned Unicron into Earth. And humans came from the earth. Which relates humans beings and cybertronians so hard. Cousins Fr. We are the cybertronian equivalent of organics, and transformers the inorganic equivalent of humans. The individuality, the chaos, the culture, it clicks. There is so much material to really go into it.

But they never do. Don’t get me wrong, I love Transformers lord and just discovering more without humans being involved. We’re just annoying af at this point. But there is so much u tapped potential in transformers actually taking the chance to LEARN about us. But we’re just friends (pets) to these mfs.

That’s why I love TF Earthspark so far. Transformers ingrained into human culture because they’re not from Cybertron, and cybertronians having to adapt to human culture because they have no where else to go. Granted, it’s a kids show. There’s only so much they can do. But I’m excited for where it’ll lead. It really shows how much of threat and ally humans are, and how we are just as diverse as cybertronians.

I need to write another fic about cybertronians meeting humans their size from our world tho. Need to continue my old piece. Would give me so much life. Y’all help motivate me, college draining my ass.

Are sideways and mirror the same entity? Or is there something weirder going on with those two

Dear Sideways Stumped,

Even all this time after having passed on from that reality… I’m sorry to say that Sideways confounds me still. In my attempts to disentangle the origins and nature of this particular foe of mine, I have sought guidance from my multiversal brother, Alchemist Prime. But when he turned the Lenses on that particular universal stream, and focused them on Sideways… he saw only static, like a television tuned to the wrong channel, the cosmic microwave background of the universe. Prior to Sideways’ first appearance before the Autobots and Decepticons, that fateful day on the interstate highway… we could find no trace of him.

However, Runway was convinced he had met Sideways long ago, back on Cybertron, during the war—or rather, Sideways’ rider, who Runway claimed was not one Mini-Con, but two combined, their names Rook and Crosswise. Many of the other Mini-Cons corroborated their existence, and I have seen these figures crop up in alternate realities elsewhere in the multiverse. What the Mini-Cons seem unable to agree on is who Rook and Crosswise were—how they acted, what they did. Were they class traitors, working to sabotage the Mini-Cons’ efforts to escape Cybertron? Were they reactionaries, sowing discontent towards the Autobots, or the opposite? Was it Rook who suggested surrendering to the Decepticons, or Crosswise? If even a small number of these conflicting accounts are accurate, then it seems that these Mini-Cons were capricious indeed. Runway would have it that the Sideways we knew was nothing but a drone, that it was these Mini-Con steering him all along. Runway can be narrow-minded—why, he made similar remarks about Overload, whose relationship with Rollout was, in truth, vastly more complex than that—but his theory has a ring of truth to it. For when Sideways’ rider spoke, it was with the same voice, as though it was only through some act of ventriloquism that the bike could speak at all.

In one of his final reports, Rhinox hypothesised that Sideways was the successor to the race of Mini-Cons created by Unicron: not one entity, but rather a cloud of Nano-Cons, capable of infecting all forms of computerized life, undergoing constant transformation at a near-molecular level. In a combined state, it would be able to change appearance entirely—which would certainly explain his radical makeover by the time of his reappearance during the search for the Cyber Planet Keys.

Still, this fails to explain where Sideways came from in the first place—not as a collection of matter, but as a set of ideas: a name, a voice, a vehicle, a personality. The Unicron I know is not possessed of the spark of creativity. There must have been someone, at some point in history, who looked like that, and behaved like that… On Earth, there must have been a purple motorcycle, but I have not been able to locate it. Who did it belong to? What happened to them?

If Sideways, Rook, and Crosswise truly did exist… then what became of them? Did Unicron destroy them, and fashion a mirror from their shattered remains, a figurehead for bad luck? Or did he keep them alive, enslaved, at times reduced to mere puppets? In those moments where that cool, aloof temperament yielded to a more sinister and chaotic demeanour… was this simply a mask being removed, or a hand slipping into a glove? I wonder if they gave themselves willingly, as Thrust later tried, in his folly.

The Sideways I knew seemed almost like a different person entirely, a brazen buffoon who delighted in stoking the mistrust of others, and whose final act seemed to serve no greater purpose than simple patriotism. Unicron, by that point, had already been all but defeated; whatever fragment of his essence remained in Megatron’s body, and in the black hole, was little more than an echo, a rerun. If Sideways was still a pawn of the chaos bringer, then he was removed from play before he could make his final move.

But I have walked the streets of Planet X. I have met the gaze of passers-by, so similar in their construction, and thought—“Are you him?” Later, when Alchemist Prime looked, he could only confirm what I already suspected. It’s just a maze of white noise.

That reminds me… did you know that one of the Galactic Guardians pilots a vehicle that looks almost identical to that alien alt-mode of his? I passed by the TV once, and saw it. Safeguard does not see the resemblance…

Would it be possible to ask for a list of heights of the main cast bots and/or humans?

Here's my personal height list I use, the sizing is more like g1 or the knight verse, keeping them smaller and closer to their actual vehicle sizes. The sizing is also like g1 because I don't draw it consistently lol. I mostly just try to keep it close enough to look right and make sure who is taller than who is consistent.

Here's a weird one for you: What's your fursona's alt form if she's a transformer?

I'll avoid the obvious answer of a canine beast mode and instead go the Robots in Disguise 2015 route, where vehicle transformers can have random animal theming in robot mode just for fun, like so

With that in mind, I think she'd be an Autobot mini vehicle type bot and turn into some kind of small, round car (but still have a Samoyed head and tail in robot mode). Maybe something like this Google self-driving car. I don't really have any affinity towards self-driving cars, I just think this little thing looks silly in a fun way

For something a little larger, I coincidentally also kinda dig this Toyota self-driving concept car. No idea how I'd feel seeing this thing roll down the street, but it would work for a Transformer

So with TFONE attempting to simplify the Primes and some recent cartoons trying to theme some shows around them, it has led to a thought how this could work.

The biggest problem the Primes have is that nobody really knows or cares that much about them. The only one most actually care about is The Fallen because of the Bay film. Vector Prime via Galaxy Force is fondly remembered by TF fans, but that version also predates the modern Prime mythology.

Transformers Prime was intended to look more into what it means to be a Prime, but never truly does so. It also introduced the modern 13 Prime lore, but also does very little with it. It’s mostly limited to Solus’ Forge being a reoccurring weapon, Megatron grafting a Prime arm on to him, with creatives unable to decide who it’s supposed to be, and Alpha Trion making a cameo (more so to reference G1 than do much with the Primes).

RiD15 also uses the Primes, with Micronus (the main rep and Optimus’ life coach) and The Fallen (the first season’s main villain) as the stand out ones. Despite Micronus being the first Mini-Con, he has no influence on the cartoon’s Mini-Con gimmick it adapted later in its run. Liege Maximo appeared in chapter books and is the only (not Fallen) one who got to properly do something. I still greatly insist Onyx Prime should’ve been the rep due to the Beast theme instead. Also Thundertron, but that’s a different problem.

Cyberverse used Alchemist Prime specifically, but while being one of the better characters, he’s not very memorable. Onyx and Alpha Trion have minor roles, with Alpha Trion getting a toy… that nobody bought. He was also there for G1 ‘memberberries, in a role similar to the old cartoon. The Cyberverse staff were not shy admitting to only writing the show for themselves and like minded fans and not actual children.

And now EarthSpark uses Quintus in a major role… but it feels like there’s some conflicting ideas about who he is. Storyboards suggest he’s more benevolent having everyone’s best interests in mind, while the show keeps insisting he might be shady and a dead beat dad.

And like the aforementioned Onyx, the series isn’t great about using Primes better themed to a show. Combiner Wars opts to NOT use Nexus Prime, when instead perhaps they could’ve made him into the evil leader of the Combiners, forcing them to wipe out non Combiners so Cybertron is theirs to rule. Vs the show just having them fight… because reasons. He also never got a toy in the Combiner themed line. This could’ve also been tinkered with once more in RiD15 for its Combiner Force, casting him as a neutral who gifts power of combination to the Bee Team and the Pack, seeing who’s more worthy to use the Enigma for an upcoming problem involving an ancient Combiner unique to the show. (Also having Chop Shop as a minor villain again.)

I think the problem is largely NOT letting the other Primes being proper characters. Vector Prime and The Fallen are allowed to be characters, with Vector allowed to be part of the Autobots, make bonds with them and the kids, and have a little arc of his own, remembering the value of life throughout time.

I think if we went back to that, having a surviving Prime join the Autobots and find their footing in the modern era on Earth during the battle against the Decepticons would help.

It’s actually kind of shocking in the current “DEI” era that they don’t have Solus Prime in such a role, working alongside Optimus. The downside to this is current writers would probably make her into a more arrogant Captain Marvel type, but ideally Solus should be cast in a role similar to Vector in Galaxy Force. I feel like it’d be funny if she especially bonded with the kids, a loving but firm grandma, who drives them around, with the gag being the kids are ferried around in a big purple construction vehicle. Solus is also happy to fix things with a gentle tap of her Fixit Felix hammer, usually the kids’ phones, but an episode sees some repercussions, where the phones and other gadgets start Transforming into semi sentient-semi automatic weapons.

Think the Appliance Bots from ROTF.

Amalgamous is really the only one that’s too abstract to use as he is. I feel like the trick is to create an in-story reason why he can’t infinitely Transform, limiting him to being a Six Changer like Sixshot. This way the writers and artists can be more creative, and have a character arc where Amalgamous learns to be one of the Autobots with a running gag he forgets he can’t change into whatever he wants anymore and turns into a car or dinosaur that isn’t appropriate to the situation.

Liege is easy enough. He’s the Sideways trying to nudge the Autobots, Decepticons and humans into doing what he wants for nefarious reasons.

I feel like Prima would be a hybrid of TFA Ratchet & TFA Ultra Magnus, a cranky foxy grandpa that means well and tries to guide Optimus and the kids, but he’s quite literally an overbearing helicopter parent trying to dictate what Optimus should be doing. While still powerful in his own right, Prima does get overwhelmed by Megatron’s sheer rage.

The 13th Prime is up in the air. It could be Zeta, Rodimus, Adaptus, Mortilus or a brand new Prime for the scenario. I got nothing.

I am a bit concerned about Vector. He was already used effectively, but his schtick is time travel and manipulation, and to move the story of TFONE along that didn’t help him against Quints or Sentinel. Can you even use time travel effectively anymore? Maybe if Vector was more in line with Time Patrol Bon, not that anyone watched the Netflix reboot of it.

TFP MINI STORY= Uncanny Pals (or "Giving these two a happy ending if Breakdown hadn't died")

SUMARY=

If Fio had managed to escape from the MECH at the beginning of the experiments and had run into Breakdown, avoiding death at the hands (or claws) of Airharchnid, Breakdown, seriously injured, managed to flee with the girl, but ended up being captured by the Autobots, believing that he had kidnapped her and having Fiorella in their base while they locate her home, see if the experimentation on her body affected her, how to reverse the damage and how to return (being a stressful matter for Fowler to discover that she is the daughter of one of his subordinates and knowing that MECH has her in their sights, almost having to transfer her and move her to Jasper with a temporary family while they make sure that no bot or human is targeted again). Fio despite the terror of the kidnapping and the first impression of the Autobots; She's fascinated by everything around her, trying to take matters with optimism and forming a strong bond with Breakdown, while gradually becoming friends with the rest of the main team, to the point where they both officially join Team Prime (Breakdown had several clashes with Bulkhead, but they didn't work well together), Breakdown as part of the team's brute force, and Fio as a remote support, looking for weak points (physical or emotional).

As for Knockout, he was initially pleased to see Breakdown alive, but grew jealous that a real person had such a close friendship with him. Although Breakdown himself captured him to free him from his nemesis, he still ended up joining the Autobots, adding his own annoyance with the Cons… and also sympathizing with the human simply because of her good taste in vehicles. …It's basically a pair of Decepticon robots who switched sides because one of them adopted a teenage girl.

Cassettes in Prime

So I was brainstorming with my brother earlier on how to input Soundwave's other cassettes into the pre-existing story/world and we came up with some pretty cool ideas, because it's too sad to think they all simply died (long post ahead)

First up, Ravage:

So MECH wants to re-create cybertronians right? What if they followed one around to see how they can make it, and that so happens to be Soundwave? Obviously he's fully aware of them and their plans, which is why he lets them. They create the " Robotic Assault Vehicle and Automated Ground Enforcer" with behaviors and patterns picked up from him. Once they're done, and it works, Soundwave can just swoop in and take it for himself probably blowing up MECH operations (whatever base they were using at the time). Megatron just let him keep it, bc if there's one bot he lets do whatever they want, it's Soundwave, just asks for a name, to which Soundwave plays back a clip of the scientists, "but for short, we call it R.A.V.A.G.E." "Well then, make sure you take Ravage to Knockout so he can give them a check-up,"

Cool, cassette count to 2, now for Rumble and Frenzy (it's a bit longer) :

What if, to better acclimate to Earth or something, the cons were trying to make cybertronians to fit in better with humans, maybe a decoy, infiltration, work as a spy, whatever. Point is, they're making smaller bots, two to start, to see how it goes. To test them out in battle, Soundwave takes them on a trial run against the bots. It probably goes well for the minis, since he would keep taking them out for 'testing' bc he's clearly not attached to them, no sir.

Now, as to their names? Well, y'know how the kids tend to tag along to fights? Miko saw them, and asked about the two new minis since they haven't showed up before, but the Autobots can't name them bc they didn't exist before Earth, (not that any of them knew that) so she just has to figure out their names, ("Calling them 'Thing 1 and Thing 2' is boring Jack" "So is calling them Aka and Ao!"). She tosses so many names back and forth with the other bots, even mid-battle ("What about Throwdown and Kickass?" "Not appropiate Miko") They started keeping a list to rank the best names, everyone expected to give at least one suggestion ("Raf you haven't said any names yet, c'mon just one?" "Jose y Maria?" "nevermind") Funniest thing is that once Miko finds the perfect names, ("Fisticuff and Hysteria are so cool, I have no idea what you guys are talking about") it turns out our minicons also chose. ("Hey, Rumble's a cool name!" "Yeah, Frenzy sounds awesome!")

Obviously, just like Ravage, Soundwave keeps these two for himself, and totally didn't help them pick names by replaying Miko's chatter among other internet searches. "Another one Soundwave? You're collecting extra bots like humans collect cassettes,"

For funzies, it's even better if Starscream had done one of his disappearing acts before Soundwave gets the twins, so when he comes back there's a mini hoard. "I swear when I left you only had two mini drone-" "Cassettes" "Right... Make sure your cassetticons are ready for the next mission,"

And that makes 4! Time for Buzzsaw :) :

Right, so typically Buzzsaw is counterpart to Laserbeak just like Rumble and Frenzy are to each other right? So what if Soundwave already had Buzzsaw, just how he already had Laserbeak, but during a mission they split up? Before they crashed on Earth, Soundwave had sent Buzzsaw on a scouting mission or something and wasn't able to get back to him before they left. So this whole time, he's been trying to find his way back to Soundwave, when he comes across, say, a Decepticon emergency shuttle that no bot was piloting and decides to take advantage of it, ignoring what looks like a bot in stasis. He pilots it to Earth, and when it crashed he flew out immediately, flying straight into the Nemesis, which he knows where it is bc if he can track Soundwave from lightyears away, he obviously can track him when they're on the same planet.

When he makes in on, he probably runs into everyone but Soundwave first, ("Oh... you're back," "Wow you really do look like Laserbeak" "It's good to have you back in our ranks,") Before he finally reunited with Soundwave, "Buzzsaw- you're back- Welcome"

Bringing it up to 5, let's move on with Ratbat! :

So when Shockwave's recreating the predacons, he doesn't go big or go home, it's only logical to start with a smaller creature to hammer out every detail before he makes the full scale ones. Soundwave is checking in on him for reasons when he sees the small prototype, and considering habit of collecting small bots it shouldn't come as a surprise when he pointed at the creature and asked "Oh shiny~ It's mine now, right?" in Knockout's voice. Shockwave just waved him off with a "It's merely a prototype that has outlived it's usefulness. If you deem it logical to keep, do with it what you will"

When he introduced it to the others, there was a it of mixed reactions, ("Wow, that looks just like that earth creature, a-" "Bat" "Rat" ... "Bat!" "Rat!" "Well I think it's small" "That's because you're huge Rav," "It has wings, that means it can fly right? Does that mean less shifts for me?") "Prototype- designation... 'Rat' 'Bat'? - is our new- cassettes" "You really just named it Ratbat? That's so uncreative, boss"

And then there were 6, as a little bonus, Wingthing! :

Y'all remember when they used a bit of Laserbeak to track down the Nemesis? Yeah so what if the bots designed a proper drone, building around the wing or whatever it was, making it as close to a real bot as they could to encourage it to return to Soundwave.

("We gotta name it!" "Miko no," "But why not, the last time I didn't get to name a bot so I wanna actually do it now! Let's see... it's a thing with wings...")

Obviously it made it's way to Laserbeak and Soundwave, who welcomed in the weird new drone bot. ("Does- creature has a- designation?") "Cassettes- welcome- Wingthing"
