The Bastions OST is nice but it's pretty similar to the 30 sec preview. I thought the worst part was that we all wanted so much to hear BTS's voices but there was so much autotune and processing on the vocals that I could only hear 3J properly. Even when Jungkook began the song, his vocals were so autotuned I wasn't sure it was him. He had a lot of parts though, which I appreciate. I don't even remember RM. I really wish Jin had sang more. I started tearing up when I heard him sing Jimin's part in the second chorus. I liked singing Yoongi.

This is an OST for an animated series so it has a very specific sound. It also wasn't written or produced by BTS or their team, so naturally it doesn't really sound like a BTS song. It's simple, pleasant, catchy, and it'll fits the series, I'm sure, but it's repetitive and really doesn't help us miss BTS any less. I really wish I could've heard their voices better, especially Jin's!!!

Edit: Pdogg produced the song, which probably explains the vocal processing. I'm not sure he composed it though.

Edit: Apparently he did, and RM has credits as well. I think the style of the song just doesn't scream BTS, for obvious reasons. I do hear RM now! I've heard the song on Spotify. I still don't know who starts it. Is it all of them? Maybe Jin? It doesn't sound like Jungkook. It sounds like maybe the vocal line? I definitely hear Jungkook in the closing outro but I also think I hear V, Jin, and Jimin. I'm confused... I think that part is always sang by the same people. But I can't hear Jungkook in the opening. I think that part has the most autotune though. There's also another dude doing background vocals so that's maybe why?? I don't know which parts he sings. Knowing BTS, it's probably just a verse or two, harmonizing with Jungkook.

I hope every single person who puts nice comments in tags under reblogged art knows that you you guys are the backbone of society. Being an artist online sucks these days, but here on tumblr I still get compliments under artworks that I made years ago. I hope you know every WOW and heart emoji and heartfelt compliment and funny comment you left in the tags is part of the reason I kept drawing all these years, in spite of everything that was going on.

fascinating parts from this brennan interview about downfall

downfall was recorded in one week and brennan described it as "one of the most intense roleplaying experiences [he's] ever had"

if avalir was showcasing the age of arcanum, downfall will showcase the actual calamity

even though avalir and aeor seem similar on paper, brennan says the stories could NOT be more different. the themes, player motivations/briefings, and genres are completely unique

downfall embraces the nuance and complexity (moral and otherwise) of the gods and digs into the idea that the gods "called a truce" to fell aeor and what that actually means

brennan says aeor actually has a large population of refugees from the calamity by the time downfall takes place. however, they didnt have a large impact on the city's architecture and so by the modern era their cultures and presence in aeor (and wider exandria) have been almost entirely lost

overall downfall seems to focus on the ways that small errors in history can change a lot

brennan describes his experience with dm'ing in exandria as "going into a sandbox and creating the toys you're gonna to play with there"

the population of aeor is "demographically meaningfully different from who was living in aeor at the height of the age of arcanum," according to brennan. basically, not every aeorian will have bolo's accent (sad)

aeormatons will be in downfall in some way

setting, plot, and character backstories were worked on in tandem

on a scale of 1 to 10 in terms of tragedy, brennan said downfall would need an entirely new axis. there is a "different kind of horror" in downfall, something that is distinct from "xenomorph chasing you horror"

brennan said "there are moments in downfall where i could feel my stomach wanting to drop out of my body"

In 2006 the fortresses were exhibited at the Byzantine Museum, ''Byzantines Fortress in Greece'' then, in 2007 the French Embassy in Athens undertook major exhibitions on the ''Fortresses of Greece''-''Chateaux forts de Grece'' in Rhodes, Kalamata, Patras, Athens, Nafplio. Palamidi is the epitome of the architectural fortification art of the Peaceful Republic of Venice. Early 18th century, Hesperia was one of the best fortresses in Europe at the time. In the dramatic siege of 1715, in the last Venetian-Ottoman war (the 7th in a row), it did not withstand the siege, except for 9 days… Let it remain a reference for Nafplion and Greece.
