So much of my time in Msq on Khorloo has been water-logged, that it’s just become- like. A character-curse. It doesn’t help that the first time I was like “oh haha he doesn’t like the rain and getting wet that much :)” and the game really went BET.

Also Tsyoo doesn’t care much for Khorloo- has to be bribed to let him ride her. But she’s a fierce fighter, when she’s not trying to bite his tail, or body him off the path by walking increasingly closer and fluffing her wings and making a ruckus and fuss. It’s what he gets for not taking a Company Approved Chocobo though. You get some funny temperaments…

I love that there's one half of people who think Ridley should be this terrifying dragon demon who antagonizes Samus and moves quicker than lightning and that Dark Samus should be this strange organic being with hardly more than a skull who will stop at nothing to have her dead and then there's the other half with Goth Girl and Pathetic Pterodactyl.

on break for a bit. i may be entering a mdd episode for the first time in probably years and am very dysregulated. setting up an action plan to get through this next however-long period, hopefully just a few days or maybe a couple of weeks. I have done a lot of mental health work on myself over the last decade+ and have many tools and supports for this occasion/eventuality, so please do not worry.

part of taking care of myself right now is getting off that damn cellphone (tumblr is different than anything else I do on this device; more curated and feels better mentally, but I need to stay off generally and that means no apps at all).

I love you moots. It's gonna be ok.

“rescued” a baby black-crowned night heron today at the zoo 🥺

aka flagged a zookeeper and said “hiiii, that, uh looks in direction of still-unidentified bird doesn’t look like a pigeon or whatever, what kinda bird is that? 🥰”

which then multiplied the zookeeper numbers a bit, including one that knew A LOT about said-bird species and was able to approximately age/characterize him 🥺🥺

he’s not a part of the zoo; the keeper we talked to said that he must have fallen out of a nest and somehow ended up there

baby wasn’t even old enough to fly so he was terrified; flapped his wings like it really wanted to a couple times and even tried climbing up the exhibit fence; as well as squishing through the openings 💔

when my parents and I were leaving, the woman that was telling us about the bird told us that their vet was able to safely catch the baby and is caring for him. They couldn’t find the parent birds nor a nest but he was kept safe and uninjured 😭
