Do we actually need “Animal Rights”?

This idea was initially proposed by Peter Singer in his very famous book and my textbook- "Animal Liberation". The basic idea revolves around the key concept of "specism", just like racism, sexism, etc, specism means to have a preference for one species over another. In our case, we prefer our own species the most. This is a question of Applied Ethics in Philosophy, and as always, rather than giving a direct answer to the question, Philosophy gives multiple approaches to solve this problem.

Hey y'all I'm new to the site. I love taking care of my fur babies. They need a voice and I'll give it to them. Hopefully I'll be able to navigate this well. We have cats and dogs and birds and ducks and a horse and were rescuing some goats here on Friday. I hope you all follow my new adventure. We moved from the city to a small farm 5 acres and we are going to be starting everything now learning as we go. Of course making mistakes who doesn't. I don't mind criticism but it has to be constructive and nice. The nicer the better of course. I love to learn and make sure I'm doing the right things for the animals. Do a lot of research and give a lot of love. We do this of the kindness of our heart. Very limited budget. But I wouldn't do anything different we love them. And if I have the place and the land they have the love from us. And I've had so many people support us and help us it's been amazing.

In Assam, #India... a person bought a cow. During night he heard the dogs barking. It happened four consecutive nights, and with concern about his animals, he got CCTV installed. He was surprised to see that a #leopard visited every night and sat near the #cow. He watched closely since the visitor didn't seem at all aggressive. On an inquisition to the previous owner, he was informed that the mother of this leopard was killed when the cub was only 20 days old. The cow fed him her milk and saved his life. The cub was let-off into the jungle, as it grew up.
