Tomura x Reader
word count: 800+
(You try and convince Tomura to take a break from his games and come to bed at a reasonable time for once.)
disclaimer/content warning: no warnings apply! sfw, soft tomura, maybe quirkless au?? i don’t really know, i just love and miss him a lot and wanna take care of him.
***
It’s late— nearly two AM— and the glow of the moon trying to creep in through the gaps of the curtains competes with the glow emanating from the trio of computer screens currently in use in the other corner of the room.
“Tomu…” you murmur, half a groan and half a whine, as you turn over beneath the covers. “Come to bed…”
It’s so warm here, your body heat seeping through the sheets, the oversized t-shirt you’re wearing— one of his shirts, the soft black cotton displaying the fading decal of some game he used to like— clinging to your drowsy form like a veil of comfort and familiarity.
If you buried your nose in the collar, it still smelled faintly like him, despite you basically having claimed it for your own a few weeks back.
From across the room, Tomura sits before his three monitor display, the soft light from the screens shifting the colors cast across his face in a fast-paced rainbow, reds and blues and greens illuminating the pale waves of his hair.
It’s almost to his shoulders again. You’ll have to convince him to let you give it a trim soon.
“Tomuraaaaaa…” you whine a little louder, drawing his attention that time as he shifts his headset so only one ear is covered.
“Ok, just one more round,” he replies, something almost apologetic in his tone, no more irked grumbling or sarcastic attitude present like he used to respond to such a request in the past.
You basically had to drag him away from the computer, once upon a time. If you didn’t, he’d be playing right up until the sun was about to rise.
You rolled over onto your other side, facing away from the glow of the screens, letting your eyes fall closed once more, the constant mashing of buttons clicking softly to fill the otherwise silent room.
Whatever game he’s decided to log into tonight, the rounds are long. After ten minutes he’s still playing, one or two curses hissed out under his breath when his character takes a hit or someone else on his team messes up.
You turn again, squinting your eyes as they adjust to the light. Once the room becomes clear, you can see just how focused Tomura is. Like he’s locked in. Like he’s entranced. The way his fingers fly across every button and joystick of the controller like its second nature to him.
But it’s been nearly twenty minutes.
Enough is enough.
You sigh and rise from the warm comfort of the bed, padding over with bare feet to where he sits in his big gaming chair— a birthday present you’d surprised him with last year. He glances over at you for a split second, trying to conceal the slight guilt that pangs inside him.
“Make room…” you say, and he obliges, pushing back a bit from the desk so you can curl up against him, sharing your sated warmth with him in hopes of coaxing him to bed.
“Swear I’m almost done,” he says, shifting a bit to allow you to get comfortable, pressing your chest to his, legs straddling his waist, arms draped loosely around him as your head rests against his shoulder.
You can just barely hear the up-beat battle music muffled through his headset, the looping audio somehow making you even more tired despite the high-energy pulse of it.
Before long, you feel yourself dozing off again, that heavy, floating feeling of the moments right before you sink into sleep dripping through you like thick syrup, honey sweet.
Not two minutes after your body had gone slack and heavy against his own, the round ends and Tomura logs out of the game, one hand carefully pressed against your back to hold you in place as he leans slightly forward to place his controller on the desk. He puts his computer to sleep, the screens fading to black.
And now, it seems, it’s time for him to put you to sleep too.
You’re passed out, completely dead to the world, breathing slow and shallow, head beginning to loll as he carefully shifts to splay his big palms under your thighs, carefully lifting you as he stands, carrying you to the bed and placing you back among the rumpled sheets.
Once you’re all tucked in again, Tomura slips out of his jeans and puts on a fresh t-shirt— a habit you worked hard to instill in him, something about not sleeping in your day clothes or wearing your sleep clothes during the day— and then joins you under the covers, snuggling up next to you and gently cradling you in his arms.
He presses a soft kiss to your forehead before allowing his own eyes to fall shut, hoping to meet you somewhere in your dreams.

Good day, fellow writer. I have once again found my way into your ask box with a request.
Could I get some Tenya Iida x fem reader with a bunny Quirk (she has bunny ears a little fluff tail and loves carrots) were Tenya finds out that her parents are emotionally abusing her because of her Quirk? (Like they view her as useless and openly show it to her.)
S/o being Verbally Abused by Parents HCs (Tenya Iida)

You’ve been dating for quite a while but Tenya always thought you being skittish and nervous was due to your quirk
After all, flinching when a voice is too loud because your ears are so sensitive just makes too much sense for him to think different
Like it never occurred to him that someone- let alone your parents- would mistreat you because???
Look at you?? You’re so sweet and cute and perfect??
So when the truth comes out, the dude is PISSED
Like Hero-Killer Arc Tenya comes out and he’s ready for action
Dark look on his face, looking up your family’s details and everything
However what actually ends up happening is him telling his family to prepare you a place to stay while acting as your bodyguard when you come to collect your items from your (now former) home
When you turn towards him, he’s still that ever-so-sweet and concerned boyfriend you fell in love with some time ago
But when your parents get too close, the look on his face turns deadly as they’ll soon enough realize what’s like to mess with the people he loves

-Pregnant s/o Kaminari & Sero-
Tumblr media Tumblr media
REQUEST: Hello! Can i request a headcanon for Sero and Kaminari when they find out their S/o's pregnant? And maybe how'd they be through out the pregnancy? Thanks! by Anonymous - Genre: fluff, headcanons - Characters: Hanta Sero, Denki Kaminari - Tags: pregnancy, established relationship, - Word count: 3.1k words - Warnings: infertility [hinted], pregnancy, birth, needle [mention], mature [brief mention] - Author: noelle
-------------------------------------------------------
Hanta Sero
-You and Sero were the most perfect example of that one high-school couple that had gotten together pretty early on in the first year of being there and lasted throughout the entire three years of being there. The couple that survived the 'doomed high-school sweethearts' stereotype.
-From the very first time he walked through the doors of 1A ready to start his journey of becoming a hero he was immediately smitten. When his eyes immediately snapped towards the person who's laugh blessed his ears to the moment when you made eye contact with him.
-It wasn't long after that, that the two of you became close friends. Especially after you moved into the dorms you were practically attached at the hip, constantly hanging out in Sero's rather cozy room it was only a small matter of time before you got together.
-You constantly talked about the future together. What sort of house you dreamed of and the interior of it. Of the large kitchen island you could share dinner with after coming back from a hard day of work, the dog you'd have and the hero agencies next to each other.
-Of course there was the talk of children. Sero wanted at least four, a comment he immediately got hit in the face by a pillow by before you protested with the fact he didn't need to get his private parts ripped apart four times. So you settled on two.
-Sero was absolutely smitten by you. The thought of coming home to you one day, seeing you in a wedding dress, cooking with you, doing laundry with you,, growing old with you. Life was short and he could not waste a single second of it.
-When your graduation had arrived, Sero got on his knee with a wobbly smile and a ring in his hand. It wasn't long after that before the two of you moved in together and married only two years later.
-Having reached the age and financial situation in which you both agreed was suitable to take the thought of having children a little more seriously was one you hadn't expected to be one that was so incredibly difficult.
-Tracking cycles, changing diets, changing daily routines, many many failed pregnancy tests and doctor's visits. Along with that came many doubts. Sero blamed himself for it all, blamed himself for being the reason it didn't work. It ate away at him.
-It was when he came back from work with his helmet in hand and zipper half way down, dirt smeared on his cheek and he was pretty sure he reeked of sweat at that point when saw you standing before him with a trembling smile with two hands tightly wrapped around a plastic stick.
-Sero couldn't remember the last time he cried so hard. His arms were so tightly wrapped around your shoulders you were sure if he held onto you like that for another 5 minutes you would've suffocated.
-The two of you stood there in that hallways for awhile just crying together while holding each other. He sniffled when he pulled back and slid onto his knees, arms wrapped around your waist before he hugged your stomach.
"T-thank you..i love you so much, god (y/n) you don't even know.."
-Throughout the pregnancy Sero is an absolute doll. The most perfect partner you could wish for in this time.
-He had already read all the pregnancy blogs and books way before you two actually conceived. Sero left for the grocery store that very same evening and came back with bags full of vitamins, fresh vegetables and massage oil.
-Sero is there when the morning sickness hits, rubbing your back and holding your hair. Telling you he's sorry and even though your hunched over a toilet bowl you still look incredibly beautiful to lighten the mood.
-Especially the first trimester he's incredibly nervous since its the most crucial one to your baby's health and he's worried about you. The minute he found out about your pregnancy he immediately demanded you don't go out patrolling anymore.
-Craving a specific kind of snack which is most definitely gonna make a normal person throw up at the thought of the combination alone at 3 am? Your husband is there in the kitchen, happily cooking it up while chatting with you as if he doesn't have to get up at 7 for work.
-Oh? That ice cream that you want so badly isn't in the fridge anymore? No worries, your husband is already holding his car keys ready to scan the evening market for it and bringing it home to you asap while wearing the mustard yellow crocs he's owned since he was 16 and his pajamas.
-Every week he brings home the fruit or vegetable that your baby's size is compared to. Starting small with blueberries and grapes but slowly and surely they turned into an apple, a tomato and a mango. It was a fun way to celebrate every single week.
-He's so fully prepared for when your stomach gets a little bigger and your back starts hurting. Sero has had to undergo a lot of physical therapy and professional massages throughout his life due to his elbows sometimes feeling sore if he overworked them. His hands are genuine magic.
-He'll make it into a whole thing too. First drawing you a warm bath with your favorite bath bomb and some candles, he'll bring you a bowl of your favorite cut up fruits and a cold glass of whatever juice it is you like. He'll sit behind you, washing your head for you and just enjoying his time with you before his hands make their way to your shoulders and back.
-You sleep like an absolutely baby that night.
-Pregnancy can cause a huge hit on your confidence, especially once you reach your third semester and really start showing. None of your clothes from before fit you anymore and you hate the way pregnancy clothes look on you.
-Whenever Sero catches you staring at yourself in the mirror just a little too long than you usually would he's immediately behind you with his arms wrapped around you from behind and his face nuzzled into your neck.
"You're so magnificent. Growing a human being by yourself and looking fantastic while doing so, i can't believe i get to call you mine."
-Sero would always be there. No matter what, you still felt as loved by him as you did when you were in high school together. Possibly even more. He always knew the right things to say and do.
-A fact proven yet again to be true when your water broke when you got up in the middle of the night to go pee.
-Two weeks before your due date causing Sero to immediately stress out only for you to reassure him two weeks isn't that bad, not considered to be premature at least.
-For a man who throughout the entire pregnancy seemed to be quite calm and collected he's now shaking and cursing to himself softly as he goes to pack your bags and get the car keys. As much as he tries to hide it from you, you can still notice his hands shaking slightly and his knee bouncing up and down as the two of you sit in the delivery room.
-He's such a worry wart as you sit in the delivery room, constantly pacing up and down and looking over the nurse's shoulder whenever they come to check up on you while biting on his fingernails.
"Do you need water? Want me to get the nurse? I should probably call your mom right? Are yo-" "I'm fine, Sero"
-Sero needs to sit down for a bit after witnessing the size of the epidural needle. He knew it was a bit longer than usual vaccine needles but he hadn't expected it to be that long. For a pro hero who had witnessed all sorts of medical procedures this had been one of the few that made his head spin and face turn white.
-When the time had arrived he's there by your side holding your hand, willing to sacrifice it with the strength you were squeezing it. His complete attention is on you and only you. He's turned to you, head right besides yours as he whispers encouragement to you.
"C'mon you got this, just a little more yeah? God you're so strong its crazy! Almost there, you're doing so good i love you."
-The minute the cries of your son echo through the room he lets out a sigh of relief before laughing softly. Such a weight that was lifted off his shoulders, one he had been carrying for so long he was overwhelmed by two years of emotions.
-Sero sobs so loudly when they put your son on your chest, immediately grabbing you and littering your face with tear mixed kisses as the two of you coo over the little boy you had so anticipately waited for these last few months.
-Your son is an exact copy paste of his father aside from the color of his eyes. Its not hard to notice that his elbows are a little thicker than usual as well, you could make a pretty good assumption on what his quirk was going to be already.
-The rest of the night Sero is sitting next to bassinet admiring every little detail about the little boy while you take some hard earned rest. He's smiling to himself, once again wiping his eyes as he's overwhelmed by the love he feels for his little family.
-Great hero, fantastic husband and now an even better father. He really was the whole package.
---------------------------------------------------------
Denki Kaminari
-You and Kaminari got together around two years after graduating. It was through a mutual friend and you couldn't lie about the fact he always caught your eye whenever there was a hero event and you saw him from the opposite side of the room.
-It was pretty casual at first, neither of you two wanting to fully commit and just have fun with it. Yet here you were with a shared two bedroom apartment in which one of those bedrooms was used as a half storage half workout room and a cat that adored you and tolerated Kaminari.
-You could say the two of you were quite committed to 'the bit' as Kaminari once called it before he spent the night sleeping on the couch.
-There were no grand plans you made for the future together such as a house or a family or anything along the lines of that. You liked living in the moment of it all. See what the future would bring you along the way.
-And sometimes three unexpected positive pregnancy tests come along your way. One to try and see why your period was late. A second to make sure and the third to see whether it was just those specific cheap brands or if you really were pregnant.
-You were very pregnant.
-The fact Kaminari thought you were joking at first and therefor moving along as if nothing happened didn't make the whole, already stressful, situation any better. To the point where you started angry crying thinking he didn't care only for him to then realize this in fact was not a joke.
"Damn i guess my pull out game is not stro- ACK"
-Best believe he was sleeping on the couch once again that night.
-The two of you had a long conversation that night, sitting across the table from each other while thinking of all possible outcomes, possibilities and things that would have to be done in order to even consider committing to such a responsibility.
-You couldn't lie when you said you hadn't thought of the idea of raising a kid together with Kaminari. And that that idea made you somewhat excited about the whole thing. You were both pretty well known heroes, you a little more than him, with fantastic income. There was a spare room that didn't really get used and your cat had always loved Kaminari's nieces and nephews.
-Kaminari wanted it so badly but couldn't help the doubt of him not being responsible enough for a kid. Would he even be a good father? What if he dropped the baby? What if he forgot to feed the-
-A good knock on the head followed by reassurance with the fact you two were doing this together and that he would be a good father were enough to get him in a giddy mood, immediately going on a rant about possible baby names and how cool their kid was gonna be.
-Best wish your morning fatigue isn't too bad because even though Kaminari's gonna be next to you holding your hair up and patting your back best believe he's puking along side with you. 'An empath' as he calls it.
-Kaminari and you hadn't exactly planned on this so you're making sure to read into a lot of the things that come with pregnancy. You have your books and Kaminari,, has different sources for his pregnancy knowledge.
"Reddit says-"
-Once again he's sleeping on the couch. At least he decided to pick up on your pregnancy books and actually learn something real this time.
-He has such a hard time keeping it to himself its killing him. Especially whenever he's with his friends Kaminari really needs to bite his tongue to not just burst out that you are pregnant. The first trimester rule was gonna be the end of him.
-Makes it a whole when telling his friends, inviting them all to your home to show off his new 'men cave' only for them to walk into an unfinished baby room that only had a crib in the middle. Clearly unfinished but they got the idea and were very happy for you two.
-He's so proud of having put it together as well up until Bakugou inspects it and lightly touches it before it falls apart. Kaminari's getting a good scolding from the blonde before Bakugou rolls up his sleeves and starts putting it together himself.
-The two of you actually get a surprising amount of help from Bakugou with the baby room who is apparently an expert in a lot of handiwork.
-Once the media gets a whiff of what's going on in your private lives and he's finally able to speak on it Kaminari is BOASTING about it in interviews. He seriously can't shut up about how excited he is and how he has the most amazing partner in the world. All the fans love it.
-Kaminari is the type of person to join you in whatever abomination of a craving you have. Pickles wrapped in roll-ups? Instant ramen with chocolate sauce? Oh he's making two portions of both and happily munching away besides you on the couch at 2 am.
-Poor guy can't keep up with the mood swings to the point he starts getting them himself. One minute you're shouting at him for breathing wrong causing him to get irritated then you start crying and he's crying alongside you.
-God what a burden he must carry to satisfy his pregnant wife who's eagerness is through the roof. What a rough life it is for poor Kaminari Denki.
-When you near the end of your second trimester Kaminari takes a leave from work to do pretty much all house chores for you. There might've been a chemical gas in the bathroom from cleaning supplies that should not have been mixed and a white shirt turned pink in the wash but he got the hang of it eventually. At least the spirit was there.
-He loves talking to your stomach when you're asleep. He's a little embarrassed about it so he keeps his voice down but you've caught him doing it a few times. Didn't have the heart to interrupt him so you just try not to smile as he has his head resting on your thighs while keeping his hand on your stomach.
-Talking about all sorts of things. His day, funny stories from your high school life or just random things in general. He'd always get all smiley and happy whenever the baby reacts to his voice by softly kicking against his hand.
“I love you so much, which is funny because you’re not even born yet,, Only 2 months, which feels much longer than you’d think. But i guess if you’re looking forward to something times goes by slow”
-When the time is there, Kaminari is freaking out. He's running around this house, calling all friends and family to let them know, triple checked whether or not he fed the cat and looks for his car keys even though he's already holding them.
-You just stand by the door, bag in hand while you wait for him to calm down so he can drive you to the hospital already.
-Kaminari for sure passes out somewhere when it starts getting serious. A combination of nerves and seeing what was going on down there gets a little too much for the man and the light in his eyes goes out for a good two minutes.
-Do NOT show this man the epidural otherwise he's gone again.
-Constantly asking the nurses and doctors what they're doing, trying to sit still but you can feel the shaking in his hand when he holds yours in his.
-Its quite normal that during labor people end up screaming. A lot of people do especially during the pushing process,, and so did Kaminari. To be more specific, he was the one screaming the loudest as the grip of your hand on his got so strong that you managed to break it.
-He genuinely couldn't care about his fractured bones when the first cries of his daughter rang through the room, his heart immediately stopping when she was laid down onto your chest.
-She was perfect. Absolutely perfect. Kaminari always thought new born babies were a little ugly, with the way their head was shaped and they always managed to look a little cranky but she was the embodiment of the word angel. Barely any hair yet but it was so clear she had your hair color.
-He was peppering your hand with kisses while trying his very hardest not to cry.
-After she got cleaned up Kaminari was allowed to cut the umbilical cord which made him panic because he was scared he'd hurt her. It was then that the nurses noticed how purple his hand had become before rushing him to the ER.
-When the nurses and doctor left and Kaminari had come back with his hand in a cast it was finally just the three of you. It was then that you noticed Kaminari nervously fidgeting with his shirt while you were holding your daughter.
"C-can i hold her..?" "She's your daughter, Denki."
-Something about Kaminari holding the car seat with your daughter in it while walking out of the hospital that really made you fall in love all over with him again.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You paused the work you were doing on your laptop when your phone began buzzing on your nightstand. You looked at the caller ID curiously, it was your boss. He never called you on your day off. You answered the call in a panic, surely something had to be wrong. Fatgum was always trying to ensure you were resting properly. 'You work too hard as it is, sweets. I don't want you to worry about work at home too.' "Hey! You busy today?" Your body instantly relaxed at the sound of his usual jovial tone on the other end of the line.
"Not in the slightest." You set your laptop on your bed next to you, wanting to give him your undivided attention. "Do you need me to come in today?"
"Do you really think I'd ask you to come in on your day off?" You stifled a giggle at his mockingly offended tone. "I was going to do some shopping and stuff around the city today… I would like you to come with me if you can. Maybe I could take you out to dinner while we're out?"
"Are you asking me out on a date?" You could hear his nervous stuttering on the other end of the line.
"I… Um, yeah, I guess I am." He chuckles. "Would you like to go on a date with me?" The words came out slowly, the briefest of pauses between each one as if he was carefully thinking about every syllable that left his lips
"I would love to, Tai." You couldn't keep the beaming smile off your face.
"Great!" His voice flooded with relief. "I'll pick you up in an hour." The two of you exchanged your goodbye's before you hung up to get ready. You had been working with Tai for years now, he was someone you very quickly learned to call a friend. However, throughout your years of working in such close proximity with him you had developed a little crush on the BMI hero. It was nice to see that your feelings weren't one sided, but, you would be lying if you said you weren't still a little nervous. You must have tried on everything in your wardrobe before deciding on an outfit, groaning as nothing fit you exactly how you wanted it to. You knew you shouldn't be putting so much thought into this. You had come such a long way with Taishiro's help, but as you looked at yourself in the mirror you couldn't help but have doubts. Part of the reason you wanted to work under Taishiro in the first place was because of what he stood for. Fatgum made being big something to be proud of. Your squishy tummy and muscular thighs were something to be celebrated, not ridiculed. You put on an outfit you felt confident in, and it helped you feel a bit better. It was funny really, whenever you started to feel negatively about how you looked you would always think back to Tai. Numerous press events, formal dinners, company trips, he was there to build you up whenever your confidence wavered. Now should be no different. Before you realized it an hour had passed, you perked up at the sound of someone gently knocking at your door. There in front of you stood Taishiro in his civilian form, holding a bouquet of your favorite flowers. You were a bit shocked when you saw him, you were so used to Fatgum that you had forgotten what he looked like in his civilian form. Loose white Tshirt hanging off his frame, messy blond hair falling perfectly against his forehead, the only thing resembling the hero you knew so well was his unmistakable smile.
"You brought me flowers?" You were in awe that he remembered what your favorites were, something you had only told him once in passing a while ago.
"Pretty flowers for the prettiest girl I know." You inhaled their sweet aroma as you took the bouquet from him, inviting him inside while you looked for a vase to put it in. "Thank you for letting me take you on a date." You gently grabbed his arm, squeezing his bicep with a small smile.
"There isn't anyone I'd rather go on a date with." You notice him blush slightly at your compliment. "I almost didn't recognize you when I opened the door, it's been a long time since I've seen you in civilian form." He looks down at the floor, kicking his toe against the hardwood.
"I figured you'd rather go on a date with Taishiro… not Fatgum." You couldn't help but notice his dejected tone. You take a step closer to him, reaching out and taking his hand in yours.
"Tai, I like you for you, not how fat of skinny you are." Golden eyes finally find yours, smile already returning to his lips. "You make me laugh, you and I could talk about anything for hours and I would never get bored, you give amazing hugs." You giggle and he laughs, thumb languidly running over your knuckles. "Those are the things that made me fall for you, not some silly number. Besides, fat form or not, I think you're incredibly handsome." You let out a flustered giggle at such a direct complement. He pulled you to him, arms wrapping tightly around you as his chin rested in the top of your head.
"Have I ever told you how amazing you are." He squeezes you, earning yet another laugh from your much smaller form. "Let's go have some fun, yeah?" You nod, fingers lacing with his as you leave your apartment building. The two of you made your way to what many considered the shopping district of the city, your eyes wide as you peruzed the window displays of each store. You paused in front of one shop in particular, a sexy little cocktail dress catching your attention. "You'd look great in that darlin'." You jumped slightly at Taishiro's voice right next to your ear. He saw the hesitance in your expression, knowing exactly the thought process you were going through. His hands fell on your waist, a blush immediately erupting on your cheeks. You could feel the heat radiating from his body as he remained just far enough away so as to not have his whole torso pressed against your back. "Why don't you go try it on? I'd like to see it on you." You swallowed thickly, nodding and placing your hands on top of his. He kept an arm securely around you as you headed into the store, Taishiro doing all of the talking so you wouldn't feel pressured. The sales associate inside was more than happy to help. She walked with you to the dressing rooms in the back, Taishiro making himself comfortable on one of the chairs just outside with an excited smile on his face.
"You and your boyfriend are absolutely adorable." She squeals quietly. You thanked her, the self doubt that was still flooding your mind making it hard to focus. She brought you the dress you had your eye on, helping you get zipped up before you returned to the main floor. At the first sight of you Taishiro's jaw dropped. He fumbled with his wallet, pulling out his credit card and passing it off to the sales associate.
"Tai, you really don't have to do that," you hurried over to him. "I'm not even sure if I like it." He stood, taking your hand and bringing you over to the full length mirror by the dressing rooms. He turned you so you could look at yourself, your arms immediately coming up to cross over your torso. You felt so exposed. He ran his hands up and down your sides, over every curve you felt insecure about.
"You look beautiful, sweets." He stooped down to rest his chin on your shoulder. "Is there anything I can do? I want my girl to feel as pretty as I think she looks."
"Your girl, huh?" You saw Taishiro's face flush in the reflection. You looked at yourself in the mirror again, letting your arms fall to the side. Tai's compliment didn't take away your insecurity but it definitely helped dull the sting it left in your chest. "You promise I look okay?"
"You look more than okay darlin'." He hugs you from behind. "You look perfect." The sales associate returns with a bag for your clothes that still remained in the dressing room, Taishiro convincing you to wear the dress out of the store. You tried to argue that it wouldn't go with your sneakers, but he couldn't be swayed. As you walked you reached out for his hand once more, he laced his fingers with yours eagerly. You couldn't remember the last time you had this much fun. The two of you made your way from shop to shop, giddy and laughing the entire way. Taishiro never left your side; whether the two of you were holding hands, he had an arm wrapped around your shoulders, or he was pulling you into a hug, your thoughts didn't have a chance to deviate away from the butterflies he gave you. You sat across from him at a small table in an outdoor noodle shop you had stumbled across as your day wound down. Chin resting in your hands as you watched him carry on a jovial conversation with the shop owner. You had already known, but today really cemented things for you. You were in love with him. "And she'll have the same." He turns to look at you once more with that breathtaking smile. "I hope you don't mind that I ordered for you."
"I trust your judgment on the food here." You giggle. He reaches across the table and takes your hand in his, gently rubbing his thumb over your knuckles.
"I really wish today didn't have to end, I've had a really good time with you." His gaze lingered on your lips for just a moment, but it was enough to get you flustered. You thought about kissing this man more often than you would like to admit. Now, with him sitting here in the soft orange lantern light, the warmth of his hand mingling with your own, the thought was beginning to creep its way to the front of your mind yet again. The two of you gradually began to lean closer to each other over the table as you quietly conversed, the background buzz of the other patrons lost to you. You were startled apart by your food arriving at the table. After a delicious meal and fantastic company Taishiro walked you home, cutting through the park to spend just a little more time with him. Your intertwined hands swung between you as your conversation carried on. You both fell silent as you came across a street performer who was playing a soft melody on his guitar. Taishiro paused and looked down at you. "Would you like to dance, darlin'?"
"I would love to." You say quietly. Taishiro wraps an arm around your waist, gazing longingly into your eyes as you swayed with him in the warm night air. Crickets and frogs accompanying the instrumentals as your heart pounded in your chest. "I… really like you Tai." He smiles softly down at you, the hand on your waist giving you a gentle squeeze.
"I really like you too." His voice barely above a whisper as golden eyes remained locked with yours. You noticed him swallow thickly, tongue peeking out to wet his lips before he slowly began to inch his face closer to yours. Your eyes slid shut as his grip on your waist tightened, pulling you flush against him. It was perfect, he was perfect, his lips were hovering over yours when suddenly you were interrupted.
"Hey is that Fatgum?" You both sighed, opening your eyes you were met with the sight of an apologetic smile on his lips as his fans rushed over to him. Being a well known hero like him had its drawbacks sometimes, you had been working with him long enough that privacy could be a luxury. After some casual conversation and photos were taken the two of you continued on your way, eventually arriving at your apartment.
"Sorry bout that." He chuckles bashfully.
"It's really okay, I wouldn't want you to sacrifice your reputation with your fans just for me." You step closer to him, resting your hands on his chest. "Besides… I'm really hoping this isn't the only date we get to go on."
"Oh, don't you worry, sweets, I plan on spoiling my girl every chance I get." Your heart fluttered at him calling you his girl. He pulls you into a tight hug, neither one of you wanting to let go. As you pulled back you placed a soft kiss to his cheek. "Goodnight." He stood in front of you with a bashful expression, rocking slightly on his heels.
"Goodnight, I'll see you tomorrow." You both wave as you close your door. You let out a sigh as you kicked off your shoes, about to head out of your entry way when there was a knock at your door. You opened it to see Taishiro still standing there.
"I'm sorry… I just-" He lets out a frustrated groan as he stutters before pulling you to him. His lips crashed against yours with such passionate ferocity or caused you to stumble back, one of his arms circling around your waist, the other gripping firmly onto the doorframe to keep you both upright. Kissing Taishiro made you feel like you were floating. His lips soft and warm against yours as the entirety of him flooded your senses. The sweet, musky scent of his cologne. His hand gripping your waist as he held you as close to him as he could. His hair soft against your fingers as they tangled into it. It was probably the best kiss you had ever experienced. Your lips trailed after his as he reluctantly pulled back. A warm hand found its way to your face from the doorframe, your head still spinning from the kiss.
You stood there, wide eyed and breathless as you gazed up at him, your body hot with want. "Tai, would you like to come inside?" He responded simply by scooping you up in strong arms, pushing through the half open door and ducking his head under the doorframe as he entered your apartment. The door was closed and your back was pressed against it, Taishiro's size and strength allowing him to move your body around with ease. Your legs wrapped around his torso as he settled himself between your thighs, lips finding yours again with ease as he hungrily captured your lips with his own. A massive hand cups your jaw with an almost shocking delicacy, Taishiro's presence already beginning to overwhelm you in such a short amount of time. His thumb swipes over your cheek as he gazes down at you, his expression a mixture of lust and nerves.
"Are you sure this is okay, sweetheart?" You felt your chest swell at the care he was putting into making sure you were comfortable. You pushed your fingers through his messy blond hair.
"I'm sure." Your voice soft and small as it left you. Despite the fact that Taishiro wanted you more than anything else in the world at the moment, yet still held you so delicately, allowed you to feel safe. You knew the man before you better than anyone, and you were eager to see what kind of mind numbing pleasure he would help you experience. Your hands rest on his chest, he still scanned your features for any sign of apprehension. "I want to experience all of you Taishiro." That was all it took to send him tumbling over the edge. A low growl rumbled in his chest as he attacked your neck, lips leaving a trail of fire across your skin. You couldn't help but gasp at the feeling of his rough, calloused fingers sliding underneath the hem of your dress, successfully hiking the fabric up to your waist with ease.
"Such a pretty little thing you are darlin'." He massaged your thighs, the room filled with the chorus of small gasps and moans that fell effortlessly from your lips as he nipped and sucked dark marks onto your cleavage. "I want everyone to know you're mine after tonight sweets." You let out a surprised yelp as Taishiro dropped to his knees, throwing your legs over his shoulders and bringing him face to face with your already soaked cunt. "You like to be tossed around a little. Don't you, princess?" You bit your lip, your head connecting with the wood behind you with a full thud. Your cheeks burned, embarrassed that he managed to get you turned on so easily. Taishiro chuckles at your expression before placing soft kisses along your thigh. You squirmed in his grasp, his hot breath fanning over your exposed skin. "Be a good girl and sit still for me darlin'." You would have laughed if you weren't in such an exposing predicament. It's not like you had a choice whether or not you would sit still, Tai had his arms snaked around your thighs in a vice grip, you couldn't have escaped even if you wanted to. You whined, fingers tangling in his hair, the pet name turning you on even more. You wanted to be good for him, to have him push you over the edge of your climax over and over again until you went limp. But, even in just your day to day life, Taishiro was a tease; Rolling up his sleeves to show up his muscular forearms and hands as he perched himself just a little too close to you at your desk to read something, he was very good at getting you flustered with the simplest actions. Now was no different. Panties ripped from your body and discarded as he kissed the lower half of your body everywhere besides where you needed him to most.
"Tai," you whine his name, giving his hair a gentle tug, "please." He rested his head against your thigh, looking up at you with a smirk as he noticed just how needy you were for him. He hadn't even touched you yet and you were already coming undone before his eyes. His eyes kept you locked in place, keeping eye contact with you as he finally gave you some relief. You cried out for him, giving his hair another firm tug. You felt him smirk against you at your outburst, satisfied with your reaction. He ate you out like you were his last meal, every movement from his skilled tongue threatening to send your climax crashing over you. Your body moved on its own as you ground your soaked pussy against his face. He hums against you, glad to see you enjoying yourself. You gasped as he slipped a finger inside you, wanting to get you as prepared as possible for later. "Fuck, you're so good at this." You couldn't help but giggle, your head swimming in pure pleasure.
His thumb replaced his tongue against your clit, rubbing circles at a firm, even pace over the already sensitive nub. "I'm glad you're enjoying yourself." He chuckles. "Think you can keep up? You're already looking pretty fucked out sweets." You could hear the shit eating grin in his voice, your response cut off with a moan as he slipped another finger inside of you. Your cunt was already stretched around his fingers alone, you couldn't even begin to imagine what his cock would feel like inside of you. You pushed down on his fingers, strangled gasps and moans leaving your shaking frame as he inched you closer to your orgasm. "Are you going to finish for me darlin'?" You nod, biting down on your lip to try and quiet your sounds. "Eyes on me sweets, I want you to look at me while you cum." Your face burned as you locked eyes with him, your head empty aside from any command he gave you. His mouth returns to your sex, assaulting your clit with his tongue before sucking it roughly into his mouth. You screamed his name as you climaxed, your legs shaking, crushing Taishiro's head between them in the process. He places one last kiss on your clit once he finishes with you, causing you to jolt. He helps you down off of his shoulders, arms never ceasing to support you as your feet hit the cold wooden floor. "Where's the bedroom?" You attempted to start walking in its direction, your legs felt like jelly as they struggled to keep you upright. You giggled as he scooped you up in his arms again.
"It's the last door on the left." He carries you through the door, setting you gently on the bed before leaning down to kiss you, the taste of you still on his lips. He tugged at the bottom of your dress, asking your permission to fully remove it. You gave him a nervous nod in response, allowing him to peel the fabric off your body. He took in the full sight of you with a smile, you couldn't help but notice the massive bulge in his pants as he stood in front of you.
"You are so beautiful sweets." He pulled his shirt over his head. Even in his civilian form he still had the soft tummy you loved so much, the softly defined muscles of his arms and chest, he really was flawless. As he stepped out of his pants you realized you were in trouble. Taishiro's impressive length looked like it was enough to rip your small frame in two. He chuckles at the slight fear he saw in your eyes. "Don't worry darlin', I'm gonna take my time getting you ready." He was back on you in an instant, lips finding yours with ease as he carefully laid you back. His massive paw cupped your sex, slowly palming you to help you relax. You whimpered softly, grinding against him to try and get more friction. He chuckles, "not enough sweetheart?" His thumb runs languid circles against the bundle of nerves, still sensitive from your last climax you moan softly into the crook of his neck. Two fingers teased at your entrance before they pushed inside you. The intensity of being so suddenly stretched open caused you to tense, Taishiro stopped the instant he felt it. Soft kisses were placed along your neck and shoulder, "just relax princess, I got you. You doin' alright?" You nod against him, arms holding onto him as tightly as you could manage. Your muscles loosened, allowing him to fully slide his fingers inside you. You feel him start to move slowly inside of you, fingers rapidly being able to slip in and out of you with ease as they become slick with your juices. Your feverish panting and Taishiro's gentle praise broke up the silence. "Such a good girl, you take my fingers so well, sweets, you're doing such a good job." A veil of sweat now covered your skin, every small touch sent a jolt of electricity across your exposed body. Your nails dug into his back as Taishiro added a third finger. You hissed at the slight sting but urged him to keep going, it felt incredible and you didn't want him to stop. The slow thrusting of his fingers began to pick up again, everytime brushing a certain spot inside of you that numbed your mind completely. Your vision went white as your second orgasm hit you, this one even more intense than the first one. You whimpered and squirmed in his grasp. Taishiro looked down at your quivering form with bright eyes as his thumb picked up its pace on your clit.
"Taishiro, fuck!" Your fingers raked down his back, you were sure you had left marks behind but he didn't seem phased in the slightest. A second orgasm crashed into you right after the other one. You bit down on his shoulder to muffle the scream that ripped through you. He gradually slowed his pace, allowing you to come down from your high. You looked down to see his free hand pumping his massive erection. You placed a hand on his chest, letting your head fall back against the mattress as you tried to regain control of your breathing. "Lube… bottom drawer… just give me a second." You giggled through your panting. Taishiro retrieved the bottle, before he had the chance to prepare himself, you decided to help him. You placed a hand on his waist, nudging him in the direction of the bed. He says down without complaint, smirking as he watches you squirt copious amounts of lube into your palm. You gently pushed the head of his cock against your hand, he let out a low groan, his head tilting back slightly as he kept himself propped up on his elbows to watch you.
"Fuck, sweetheart. Your hands feel really good." He smiles, his flushed cheeks and blown out pupils leaving nothing to the imagination about how good you were making him feel. You pumped him slowly, a soft moan escaping his lips whenever your palm dragged over his tip. Now sufficiently lubed up, Taishiro grabbed you by your waist and tossed you onto the mattress, eliciting an excited squeal from you. "You ready darlin'?" You nodded, attempting to let your body relax as much as possible. He ran the tip of his cock along your entrance, the lube making you even more wet than you already were. He slowly eased into you, stopping at any sign of discomfort and allowing you to adjust. You leaned into his touch as he rested a hand on your cheek, groaning as he got as deep inside of you as he possibly could. You whimpered as your walls stretched around his thick length, hiding your face against him as he sat there motionless, allowing you to adjust. "I'm gonna try and move princess, stop me if it's too much." He eases himself out of you and carefully pushes back in. Placing gentle kisses against the side of your face, telling you repeatedly how good you're doing, how incredible you felt around him. Slowly the discomfort dissipated and you were filled with nothing but pure pleasure.
"Faster." You stammer out. Taishiro wasted no time on your request, gradually picking up speed until your screams of pleasure were the only sound that filled the room. He kissed you hard, the ruthless thrusting paired with his lips on yours taking your breath away. You tugged him back by his hair slightly, "I'm gunna-fuck." The words you were trying to get out were cut off by your high pitched whine, your toes curling and head spinning from how good he was making you feel.
"Me too sweetheart." His thrusts were starting to get sloppy, his intensity dropping as he neared his own climax. He quickly pulled out of you, pumping his cock as hot ropes of cum shot all over your stomach and chest. He gave you one more soft kiss l, looking lovingly into your eyes as he gently cupped your face. "How are you feeling, princess?"
You nodded, voice coming out in a horse croak as you spoke, "wonderful." Taishiro chuckles, giving you a quick peck before he stood up.
"I'll be right back, I think I saw your bathroom across the hall right?" You nodded, watching him as he disappeared only to come back a few moments later with a cloth to clean you up with. "Alright sweets, let's get you cleaned up, yeah?" He carefully ran the warm washcloth over your body, being as gentle as he possibly could as he cleaned you up. You hissed as he ran the cloth over your sex, knowing you would be incredibly sore come morning. "Sorry 'bout that sweetheart."
"It's okay, I didn't expect to walk away unscathed." The two of you shared a laugh as he discarded the cloth and crawled into bed next to you, helping you under the covers. He pulled you into his arms, you nuzzled against his chest.
"Do you, um… do you want to make things official?" He asked you nervously. You rest your chin on his chest, gazing up at him with an expression nothing short of pure adoration.
"Tai," he turned his gaze down to look at you as you said his name. "I've had feelings for you for a long time. Today was… perfect. I would go up to the roof and scream that you're my boyfriend right now if my legs would carry me there." He chuckles, running his fingers through your hair.
"Your boyfriend, huh? And you're my girlfriend." He beams down at you, you nod with a giggle. "I'd really like that." You push yourself upwards to kiss him before snuggling into his side. You drifted off in his arms that night, completely content now that he was at your side. You woke up the next morning to the smell of breakfast cooking in the kitchen. You got yourself dressed, stretching as you wandered your way into the kitchen. Taishiro stood there in nothing but his boxers, the sight alone was enough to bring a smile to your face. You hugged him from behind, placing a kiss between his shoulder blades before laying your head against his back. "Mornin' darlin'."
"Morning." You sigh sleepily. You were about to ask him how long he'd been up when there was a frantic knock at the door. Peering out into the hallway you saw Taishiro's two sidekicks standing there with a nervous expression. "Kirishima, Amajiki, what are you two doing here?"
"Fatgum's missing, we've been trying to call him all morning, he never made it to the office-" Kirishima was cut off by their mentor appearing behind you in the doorway. "Oh-"
"I forgot to charge my phone. Smart plan coming to (Y/N)'s though, good job boys." He wraps an arm around your shoulders, the two of them absolutely dumbfounded by what they were seeing. "Come on in, I'm making breakfast."
Your Hero
He is one of my favorite characters in mha. I want to write a future version of Bakugou Katsuki, I hope you guys will like it. 😘
Part 1.
( Bakugou Katsuki X Y/N )
Tumblr media
This is a superhuman society, with 80% of us possessing some uncanny ability. Cities swirled with chaos and confusion following the appearance of these powers, and a new profession emerged. We call those who fight for justice and help others in need heroes.
Bakugou Katsuki, 25 years old. Hero Name Great Explosion Murder God: Dynamight, the hero who uses explosion Quirk. A young top professional hero in Japan, established his own hero agency a few years later.
Dynamight Agency——
"Tchh...another resignation." Bakugou put the employee's resignation letter on the table.
"Hahaha, Lord Dynamight has a bad temper and looks fierce." Kaminari laughed.
"Shut up! Why do you come into my office!" Bakugou shouted.
"Come and visit your office and see the secretary by the way~" Kaminari visited the office.
"Tchhh! What a pity! Get out of here!" Bakugou shouted.
"Bakugou~ Be kind to people~ How many beautiful secretaries have resigned like this?" Kaminari said.
"Shut up! Dunce face! It's their poor ability to do things!" Bakugou complained.
"Emergency rescue! For the nearby heroes please go to the rescue immediately! Villain is out!" Urgent notice.
"Tch! Work is coming! Hey! Dunce face! Get out of here before I come back!" Bakugou flew out of the window.
"That guy still busy as usual. It's worthy of being the Top Hero. " Kaminari looked at the window.
Urban area——
Your name is Y/N, 23 years old. Professional hero, just returned from the United States. Hero Name is Wind Breaker, a hero who uses the wind attribute.
You walked leisurely on the street, and the long-lost return life has finally come. Suddenly there was an earthquake, you felt an ominous premonition. Then you heard a lot of howls, and saw a lot of people running away.
Intuition tells you that something must have happened ahead. You ran to find out, suddenly exploded after hearing a loud noise in the distance. High-rise buildings fall and many broken rubble will hit nearby citizens. You release a whirlwind to blow away the rubble to avoid hitting people.
A floor of a tall building is burning and emitting black smoke, to avoid being smoked you take out a handkerchief from pocket to cover your nose and mouth. Near the building, you can see several heroes rescuing and evacuating the crowd.
When you want to get close, there is a second harsh loud noise. You squat on the ground and cover your ears. You have a little impression of this sound. A few seconds later, a layer exploded again dropping a lot of rubble on the ground.
You release a wide range of whirlwinds blowing away the falling rubble. It is remembered that the explosion is connected to the loud noise, which is the signal to start the explosion. You run in the direction of the hero and inform them.
You didn't notice a piece of rubble falling in your direction for a moment. Suddenly, someone grabbed the falling rubble and blew it up, you released the whirlwind to blow away the broken rubble. You didn't react for a moment. You looked at the person floating in the air.
"Idiot! Hurry up and take refuge!" He shouted at you.
You heard him yell at you, and you said to him in anger, "Huh?! If you have the guts, say it again! You hedgehog head!"
The third loud noise sounded again, you covered your ears and looked up at the tall building. You are calculating the timing of the third explosion. Think that the timing of the first and second signals is random, not a fixed time, so someone must be controlling it.
A few seconds later, the third explosion occurred, and the hero blew the falling rubble into pieces in front of you. You release the strong wind and blow away the fragments everywhere.
"Hey, you! What if you blow up the rubble like this and hit the citizens!" You talk about him.
"Then why don't you take refuge!" He said loudly to you.
"Dynamight! Thank you for the rescue! There have been three explosions in a row, and it is difficult for us to enter the internal investigation. " A rescue hero said.
"The trap set by Villain is nearby. The loud noise and the timing of the explosion are random. Maybe someone is controlling it nearby." The hero named Dynamight said.
Although the man named Dynamight in front of you is very irritable, but you have the same idea as him. This person is a professional hero, you admire his observation and logical thinking.
"Hedgehog, you're not bad and smart." You poke him on the shoulder and say.
"Woman! Say the hedgehog again, I'll blow you up! My name is Dynamight! Remember it! Get out of here and take refuge!" He stared at you and said loudly.
"I'm sorry to bother you. I just saw through the drone that there were still children who hadn't escaped yet." A rescue hero interrupted.
"What!?" You and Dynamight are surprised.
"Hey, woman! Take refuge! I'll go inside to save people! Others go nearby to find Villain!" Dynamight said.
"Wait a time! Hedgehog head! I can go inside to save people! You go and find Villain!" You stopped Dynamight and said.
"Woman, you...!" When Dynamight is ready to yell at you.
"I can control the wind to blow away the fire. At least the children inside can be rescued safely. Time is limited, the fourth explosion will come at any time. Take advantage of this time to find Villain nearby and knock him down directly. " You say the plan.
Dynamight looked at you angrily, but he thought your plan was worth implementing. Other rescue heroes can only be found on land, but he can search in the air at the fastest speed. He noticed your reaction ability and controlling Quirks, he sighed and stared at you.
"Hey, woman." He stared at you.
"What?" You stare back at him.
"You are not allowed to die." Dynamight carry you on his shoulder.
"Hey! Put me down! Where are you touching!" You beat him on the back.
He carried you and suddenly rushed into the air, you were so scared and grabbed him tightly. When reach the window, he throws you in hard, and you release the wind to surround yourself and land safely.
"Hedgehog head, you are not a gentleman!" You shouted at him and turned around to enter the fire.
"Hey, woman! Dont die!" Dynamight shouted.
"Shut up, hedgehog." You walk into the fire.
"Tchhh..." Dynamight flew high in search of Villain.
You release a whirlwind to surround yourself and separate the black smoke from the fire to avoid being smoked. You walk slowly to look around, you hear someone asking for help. You saw two children in that direction. One of them had fainted and the other was crying for help.
You are close to check the two children, there are no skin injuries. You carried them on your shoulders and ran to the window just now. You saw the rescue hero downstairs waving to you. You release the protection layer of the wind to surround the children and slowly land them to the rescue hero.
"Well done, woman." Dynamight is looking from a distance.
"If you want to transmit the signal and the timing of detonation, you need to see the process clearly and seize the timing, so it must not be far from Villain. Tall buildings... A high place..." Dynamight thinking.
Dynamight looked at the opposite building and saw a figure. Villain noticed it and ready to pack up and evacuate, Dynamight rushed to him.
"Bingo...Villain!" Dynamight shouted at him.
Dynamight released a flash bomb to temporarily blind Villain, then went around kicked him down to subdue him.
"Have fun? Villain!" Dynamight shouted to him.
"Hehehe, what about your friend?" Villain said.
After Villain finished speaking, he pressed the button and there was a loud noise. Dynamight knocked Villain hard and stunned him then grabbed the remote from in his hand.
"Damn!" Dynamight rushes to your position.
This loud noise will make you guess that Dynamight has found Villain, then Villain directly presses the button to prepare for the explosion. The fourth loud noise is very loud, which means that you are very close to the bomb.
There is no time to find out the location of the bomb. You run to the window and prepare to jump down. Dynamight looks at you close to the window and rushes directly to you. You noticed that he was approaching, and you jumped out without saying a word.
A few seconds after you jumped, there was an explosion behind you. Dynamight rushed in your direction to catch you, you looked at the direction of the explosion and sighed. You glad you reacted, otherwise you would have been blown up. After, you noticed that you were in mid-air and catched by Dynamight.
"Nice catch! Hedgehog head!" You said with a smile.
"If you say it again, I'll throw you down!" Dynamight said.
"Try it, I'm fine. I can fly." You teased and said.
"Tchhh! If I had known, I wouldn't have catched you!" Dynamight looks to the other side.
"Hahaha! I know you will come to save me. You say.
"Woman, you knew from the beginning that I would catch you, so you didn't use the ability in the end, right?" Dynamight stared at you and asked.
"No. Because I believe that Dynamight will come to save me. " You said with a smile.
Don't know why you are so embarrassed to call him Dynamight.
"Alright! I'm landing now!" Dynamight slowly landed on the ground.
He put you safely on the ground, you stand firm and ready to leave the scene. You turned your head and looked at him, he noticed that and were also looking at you. You want to thank him, but don't understand why it's a little difficult for him. After thinking about it, you still smiled at him and left.
"You have a good smile, woman.“ Dynamight whispered.
After knocking down the Villain, the heroes immediately entered the high-rise building for a search. Find the bomb and then dismantle it. Dynamight conducted a final inspection in mid-air.
You get home and lie on the sofa to rest, remember the hero named Dynamight just now. You search him at social platforms on your mobile phone and find the amazing truth. He is a top professional hero. Although he has a bad personality, you admire him inexplicably.
"The hedgehog! so powerful... But he is not a gentleman at all!" You lay on the sofa and said.
Part 1 end.
*If you have any ideas, you can leave them in the comment section, and I will try to add in the story.*
My Hero Academia: Masterlist
Hi there! I'm Eri, and I write for all sorts of stuff. While I do have everything published on here, I personally choose to have my masterlists linked to my Ao3.
I haven't read the manga- and I've only watched seasons 1-5 of the anime, though I've had the manga ending spoiled for me. Requests are open and I love writing for this show, just don't expect me to write anything accurate from S6 and beyond. Also note that a lot of these fics were written before important plot milestones and may not be the most accurate. Some of these are NSFW, so be sure to check the tags!
If you'd like to learn more about me, send in a request, or look at my works for other fandoms, check out my pinned post!
For a moment he just looked at me. I like his eyes like this. He looked as if he was longing for an answer. An answer that I can’t give him. He stared a little longer into my eyes, and I wondered if I was as hard to read as he was. Suddenly I had an entirely new concern and I physically felt my face shift to something more opaque. Almost immediately a confused look appeared on his then he dropped my hand and slowly the anger in his eyes returned and he turned to walk away from me to the dorm. I wanted to tell him to wait. I wanted to tell him to stop. I wanted to tell him how I felt and what I wanted more than anything was for him to keep holding my hand. To keep looking into each other's eyes, but the moment was over maybe the only moment we would ever have. Was it enough for me to live with? The next three days will be unbearable. The next three days cleaning and cooking, no classes all alone. Well all alone except Kacchan who hates me. Or maybe I need to look at it differently. The next three days with Kacchan and a chance to get him to stop hating me. The next three days to get another moment with him, another chance to look into his eyes, to hold his hand, and maybe to get him to tell me how he feels before I embarrass myself telling him the answer to the question he asked me tonight. What I want.
~~~
Kacchan
That damn nerd. Looking at me like that. Refusing to speak. He thinks I care. I refuse to be weak. I have trained hard to come this far and become this strong. I won't allow him to be another thing I worry about. Maybe I didn’t allow him enough time to speak… No that can’t be it his face completely shut down. I won’t allow him to get another chance at making me weak. At becoming my weakness. That's why I won’t look back. I don’t care if I know he is standing there looking like a pathetic weakling. If I look back now there is no telling what I would do. I’d probably start another fight, and then the next four days of house arrest would turn into seven. Ugh the next three days with that damn nerd. Damn it. I didn’t even think about how many opportunities he’d have to talk to me when we are alone, to try and make me weak. I’ll just have to avoid him.

I woke up early to work out before I went to make breakfast for my classmates but when I got downstairs Kacchan had already finished preparing it. He had plated it up for everyone including me. He looked at me. For a moment it felt just like last night. It was soft and kind, then the anger appeared on his face as he quickly grabbed his plate and walked by me. I may be wrong but I think he slowed down as he passed. Maybe he wanted to say something. More likely he wanted to hit me.
~~~
Kacchan
I woke up early so I wouldn’t have to see him. The plan was to be back upstairs before he was even out of bed. Subconsciously as I cooked I knew I was going too slow. I knew he was going to come down. I knew that I would see him. When he walked down I wasn’t shocked. I was relieved to see him one time, but after this no more. I grabbed my plate and began to walk back to my room. He just stared and as I got closer I thought of all the things I could say to him to extend this moment in time. To extend the amount of time I got to look at him. I had to remind myself that was the weakness in me trying to claw its way out. So instead I just said “Dinner is on you.” Then I walked up to my room. I started hearing everyone else get ready and go down to eat. A little while after classes had started I heard a knock at my door. I knew it had to be that damn nerd.
Deku
It was easy to come up with a plan. The question then was would it be easy to execute. Could I lie to Kacchan? I mean it was easy enough to believe he probably wouldn’t question it, but he definitely would hate it.
~~~
Kacchan
I didn’t want to answer, but I figured he was just going to divide up the work which is good because it means that I could strategically plan my day to avoid him. I opened the door and there he was looking like a puppy. Eyes wide and excited as if doing chores was better that training or going to class. Personally I can’t think of anything worse than falling behind the rest of our class granted I could probably miss a whole week and those idiots still couldn’t beat me.
“Hi Kacchan! I figured we could get started working so that way we have enough time to do some private studying and training together.” Even the implication that we would work together made me sick to my stomach.
“Who said anything about doing this together? Give me half the list and I’ll get my stuff done while you get your half of the list done. This is a divide and conquer situation.”
~~~
Deku
This is it. The only way I am going to get him to spend time with me.
“Well actually Aizawa stopped by while you were up here. He said in order to increase our teamwork and prevent us from fighting again we are supposed to complete every task together.” I almost immediately regretted saying that. The door slammed immediately.
I waited there. All I wanted was to spend time with him so he’d forgive me for last night
Kacchan
Three days with Deku. Cleaning together. Training together. How am I supposed to look at him after last night? I all but told him how I felt, and in return he shut down. I don’t wanna be embarrassed. I don’t wanna look weak in front of him. I want to be strong for him. I can do this. I can make it through three days with him without becoming weak. Maybe it will make me stronger. I took a deep breath and reopened my door. Standing in front of me was Midoriaya looking like a broken toy.
The door reopened. I looked up and I could have swore I saw a glimpse of sympathy on his face before it shifted to something a bit more resentful. He reached his arm up to scratch the back of his head. His arm was so well defined it was as if he was trying to tease me. Draw me in so he can dominate me emotionally as he did physically last night. Maybe I made a mistake. Was it too late to take it back and divide the list evenly?
“I say we train first that way whatever mess we make we can clean up afterwards. I’ll meet you downstairs in 5 minutes. Go change into something to work out in. You better be ready too. The next time we fight I want you to at least try and beat me.” He said. I felt a little anger and a little excitement build up in me.
“I will beat you!” I practically screamed.
“You better or I swear to god I’ll kill you.” He said as he closed his door.
~~~
Kacchan
I think I found a solution for my problem. If I wanted to be able to tell that damn nerd how I felt without creating another weakness he needed to be strong enough to defeat anything that came at him. Including me. I am going to push him until he breaks.
I changed into some athletic shorts and a sleeveless shirt and headed downstairs. There he was waiting for me. To mats set up on the floor weights nearby. He was stretching his legs leaning back and forth. I just stood there and watched for a moment. I forget how efficient he is. He doesn’t like to waste time so he made sure to set everything up so we could have a good workout session. It seemed like his entire demeanor had changed; upstairs he was acting like a beaten dog now he seemed enthusiastic about training together. He had come so far from the weekling he was when we were younger. Yet he still had a type of childlike enthusiasm that I can’t help but notice. I just kind of continued to look at him until I noticed he was looking back.
“How long have you been there? You said five minutes it’s been nearly fifteen. I would have figured you would have been on time considering your threat.”
“I-- I just got down here you damn idiot. It’s none of your business, but I figured I’d brush my teeth considering I just ate. Speaking of which, don't forget you are responsible for cooking dinner. I made breakfast so I will stand there and watch so that we are still ‘working together’” I retorted.
I grabbed a weight and before I even began to curl it that idiot stopped me.
“Aren’t you going to stretch first?” He asked.
“Listen you damn nerd. In a real fight you won’t have time to stretch, that's a weak mentality to have.”
“Look, let me help you. I've already stretched so I can make sure you hit all the muscles we plan to work out today.”
“Who said you're leading this work out? I’m In charge here. Obviously you're the one that needs help cause you don’t even have control over the full capacity of your power.”
“If we are supposed to be increasing our teamwork, we should compromise. I’ll help you stretch--”
“I DON’T NEED YOUR HELP! I can stretch on my own then we can get started.”  He is so infuriating. That's when he took a step forward.
“Fine, tell me what to do and I'll do whatever you say.” He said. I don’t know why, but that statement made me blush a little. Hopefully he interpreted it as rage rather than anything else.
We finished stretching relatively quickly and can I just say that his range of motion is insane. I could practically fold him into any position I wanted.
“Ok. Let’s get started!”
We did a couple simple workouts. That's when I got an idea. One that would give me an excuse to get close to him. If I was going to have to be around him for the next three days I might as well enjoy myself. I let him finish his rep then I threw a punch. It hit him right in the side. He turned to face me quickly. I could sense the power surging in him. I smiled.

Dabi X Reader (a bnha short-short)
Happy Birthday, D.
Tumblr media
Y/n = your name; N/n = Nickname
515 words.
Story under cut.
Dabi kicks the door open to his dingy apartment. He really needs to get someone to fix that horrid door. It’s always stuck and sounds so loud when it opens. He doesn’t bother locking the door. Anyone who breaks in won’t be able to open the crooked thing anyway. He looks at the apartment, a messy living room and a kitchen with garbage that’s starting to smell. Usually he wouldn't mind, he’s lived in filth for most of his life, but considering what day it is, his irritation is running high. He throws his jacket on the floor and kicks off his shoes, not even trying to put them away, then plops down on the worn out couch he found outside. He closes his eyes, rubbing the stress off of his forehead. He always dreads this day. Why does it have to come every year? In his contemplation, he hears a large bang against the door he just entered. A few more loud sounds of struggling later, the door swings open and slams shut. He doesn’t need to look to know who it is.
“Keep your eyes closed,” he hears Y/n's voice from in front of him.
“I thought you said were working today,”
“I lied, just keep your eyes closed,” Dabi sighs, but keeps his eyes closed nonetheless. “Now use your quirk. Just a tiny flame on your thumb," He lifts up his fist and sticks out his thumb, a small flame emitting from the tip. Y/n is quiet for a few moments. He sits in the quiet darkness, wondering what she could be up to this time. "Now open,"
Slowly, he slides his eyelids apart. Before him is Y/n, bent at the hips so she’s eye level with him. In her palm, a simple gift with a little blue flame on top. A cupcake. "Happy birthday, D," she says with a small smile. He smirks.
      "Thanks," he says and takes the cupcake in his hands. She joins him on the couch, resting an arm on his shoulder.
“I added some blue frosting to match your aesthetic. It’s way too sugary and tastes disgusting, but it’s the thought that counts right?” Dabi takes a finger and swipes up some frosting, bringing it to his mouth. He nearly coughs.
“Yeah, that’s awful,”
“Hey! After I worked so hard for your birthday,” Y/n follows his actions, swiping up some frosting herself and wincing at the taste. “Well? Make a wish,”
Dabi looks at the cupcake curiously, deciding what to wish for. Once he has his idea, he closes his eyes, blows out the candle, then takes a bite.
“At least the batter doesn’t suck,”
“Can’t go wrong with birthday cake flavor. Even if it is just vanilla with sprinkles in it. I got you a gift too, but it won’t be here until Monday,” Dabi takes a moment to look at the cheap, single cupcake. It's small, poorly made, and the frosting colour is uneven, but this might just be the best birthday he's had in a long time.
“Thanks, N/n. Best birthday ever,”

I finished my short story. It's set in the Boku no Hero Academia universe, but the cast consists of OCs. Heed the trigger warnings; this is intended to be a thriller/horror, so it's exploring heavy themes. Though these are also themes touched on in the series itself, tread with care.
TRIGGER WARNINGS: Graphic imagery, Unreliable narrator, Ableism (internalized and external), Chronic illness, Attempted murder-suicide, Attempted suicide mention, Severe depression, Animal death, Familial Abuse (specifically child abuse at the hands of the mother), Codependent relationship between family members, Longstanding acts of harm/sabotage, Quirk eugenics, Stalking, Organized crime, Body horror, Theft of personal belongings, Abuse of prescription drugs, Dosing/poisoning of someone's food
     Sato Hikaru came to consciousness unwillingly. He was at first aware of the coldness tickling his feet and legs, so he balled up to retain what little heat he insulated beneath seven layers. It didn't matter-- he was awake now. The blurry red digits on his alarm clock seemed to glow through his eyelids even when he rolled to his other side; the room was devoid of personal affectation, so the light bounced off the bare, eggshell walls. He flopped back over and stared back at the clock. 4:16 am. He supposed that was early enough.
     Hikaru pat blindly for his laptop, found its power cord, and carefully pulled it toward himself along the floor. Still partly under his mountain of blankets, he logged onto his email and went into the drafts where he had prepared a sick note: something believably miserable about being unable to eat or sleep, but still coherent enough to assert he could work remotely. Mysterious pain and nausea wasn't uncommon given his medical history; so long as he didn't wear thin on his coworkers' graces, nobody would begrudge him for staying home. His agency performance reports were already encrypted and attached so that he only had to send them. Then he went into the work calendar and helpfully logged his absences ahead of time so that he could receive meeting notes. Each and every sick day had to cause as little disturbance as possible.
     One of the benefits of being under the Hero Public Safety Commission's employ: as an office-holding, audit-accurate salaryman, there was a benefit of the doubt afforded to him automatically. This was further buttressed with behavior. He had never before been tardy-- ever. He didn't play hooky like others had. He attended mandatory dinner parties. He was civil, clean, and convenient. Unfortunately, not everyone could be relied upon for such predictability.
     When the streetlight directly outside his window elbowed its way through his curtain, he picked up his phone and texted his mother to give her the same overnight illness excuse-- this time, embellishing a sleepless night of 'work catch-up' spent with his nose to the grindstone. Then he abandoned his phone beneath the blankets, slipping from his cocoon to pluck pajamas out of a nearby heap of clothing. The truth about his work was that all this and next months' assignments were drafted to near completion, sitting prettily on his harddrive for the chance to defend his reputation. There were some bits and pieces of information left blank for future application, but all the mundane busy work had been taken care of two weeks prior, during a particularly animated frenzy to get as much bullshit out of his way as possible. So long as he drip fed his supervisor with satisfactory and timely submissions, he could continue to devote the rest of the month entirely to his true work.
     In the bathroom, he unscrewed the hoses from to the faucets, rolled them up, and properly stored them on the hooks he installed in the corridor. That way he could close the door as he readied for the day. Not that he needed the privacy. He no longer shared this space with anyone, and didn't intend to make room. He just liked to see closed walls on all sides of him and know he was secure, if only in the bathroom and at his most vulnerable.
     Once he was cleaned and dressed comfortably, Hikaru replaced the hoses then wandered the darkness of his apartment. He unconsciously stepped to the side of the bundled cords lining the hallway, placing his bare feet one after the other to avoid tripping on or dislodging anything. He started by staking out the living room, which was furnished. The locks on his front entrance were still engaged. The door to the patio (which was more like a windsill with how narrow it was) was locked and shuttered. A laundry pole scavenged from the trash was jammed solidly into the track for additional security. Even so, he didn't relax. He always acted with a vague image in his mind of what would happen if he lowered his guard.
     This brought him to the 'study,' the spare bedroom that all the hoses and cords fed into; also a room which his mother always insisted he keep available for her. Nevermind that she hadn't been in Japan for longer than twelve combined hours in the last two years since she ran off. Sato Hanami was probably already planning how to make her next escape: they were supposed to go shopping and grab lunch together before she moved on to her next event... but before she could cancel plans on him, he left her high and dry first.
     The last night they were really together was meant to celebrate his acceptance into medical school. They had arrangements at a fancy restaurant, tickets to a theater play, and each other... but he couldn't appreciate it. Frankly, the cracks in their foundation preceded that night. Hikaru, for a long time, had felt his mother was keeping more from him than the potential identity of his father. Despite the unanswered questions and sidestepped conversations, he respected his caretaker's authority and secrecy even when it involved him. But he was freshly eighteen and due his own share of responsibility and respect.
     That was the night he told her he knew he had a Quirk. Rather than react with equal enthusiasm, bafflement, or disbelief, she nervously batted the subject around. It may as well have been a typhoon on the other side of the world. Then she 'innocuously' got up to use the restroom at some point. Hikaru waited-- their entrees going cold on their plates-- for twenty minutes before he realized she was gone. She picked up his phone call, already in the cab and babbling some story about being summoned to America: she was to co-host a lucrative wellness tour with her longtime friend. She was on her way to dine with ultra rich celebrities interested in the procedure of her treatments. When he tried to insist to her again that he needed her to guide him, to help him understand what he was now and how to handle it, she snapped: "Don't tell me about it! Shut up." It took him aback so much, he obeyed automatically. She nervously filled the silence, "... Besides, it's taken so long to show itself, it's bound to be a busted one." Each insistence was another stab to the heart, and he quietly assented until she ended the call with a small silence and an exasperated sigh: "... Work hard, no matter what, okay? I can only stay away so long."
     So befuddled and frustrated was he, that he went home and sold the furniture from their bedrooms. He was so disgusted with her. With himself. She loved him as any mother loved her son, but she especially adored when he ached for her approval to the point of hysteria. She did this often, especially when it came to his school career-- dangled a tantalizing prize in front of him before throwing it over the ledge, hoping he would jump off after it as some extravagant expression of devotion. Needless to say, his grades were flawless. But this was different. His mother overshot her mark; he knew something she hadn't, and she ran instead of taking him seriously. Instead of doubling his efforts to gain her attention, he stopped playing her games.
     He never told her about her former bedroom. Nor did he share that he'd dropped out of that medical school and began his career as a desk jockey for the government. She had been told, surely: a career change wasn't as easy to hide as a personal interest or private thought. Shortly after he began working is when her checks started coming in. It was their first line of communication since she 'fled' Japan, and he let them pile up in the cubby he kept by the door.
     He waited for her to be the one to message him first-- those first weeks had been filled with playing a façade for the world, succumbing to depressive crying and anxious fits when he was safe at home. When she finally texted, it took all his willpower not to respond immediately. Not that it mattered: he would soon learn that she never stayed anywhere for long. Even if she remained in the country, she was skipping like an airborne stone across the surface of the globe.
     He almost envied her freedom of movement. She seemed so unrestricted, though he knew she was with Iwamoto Kaede: she was his mother's 'dearest confidant,' fellow wellness guru, and probably the one who Hanami convinced to accompany her, expanding their 'career' to the horizon. Hikaru still harbored both gratitude and a grudge for that. He never liked the way Kaede hovered around their lives, as if being a close friend and neighbor wasn't enough.
     But with her gone, his surveillance had to be careful. They operated from her 'empty' apartment, though Hikaru knew there was someone in there at most times of day. He'd never heard or seen them, but he knew they were there as surely as he knew his organs existed despite hiding inside his body.
     His mental fortitude nearly unraveled with the isolation. For a while, he was convinced that he was the one Hanami was running from. Why else would she have left in such a nervous hurry? It wasn't that he was unimportant to her-- it was that he was dangerous.
     She was scared of him. Of what he could be. And rather than discourage him, this fantasy instilled him with autonomy and independence. He made changes to his life. He reflected on himself.
     After confirming the integrity of his lair, he stopped outside the study door and stared at the doorknob. He had to shed the alibi of that cowardly man: someone who went straight to work and then straight home, who bought all his necessities once a month without fluctuation, who was always the one apologizing when someone deemed him inconvenient. He took a deep breath, squared his shoulders, and entered.
     His eyelids fluttered rapidly, adapting to the lilac-blue lightboxes. Plastic tarp crinkled underfoot. The only similarities this room held to an actual study were the row of composition books stacked against the wall, various pens of many colors contained in a nearby cup, and the apartment's provided router installed into the ceiling corner. Otherwise, it resembled mostly a greenhouse: rows of potted, pooled, and hanging plantlife filled the room wall to wall with very little space for their caretaker to tiptoe through.
     Hikaru went to the notebooks and selected the topmost one, plucking a blue pen from the cup. Then he cast out a gentle "Good morning," to his companions. He worked his way through the nursery, weaving between leaves and stepping over water hoses. The plants were weeded and inspected. He was only making the first subjective notations before he got into the real work: the testing and sampling, which gave him concrete results. Numbers to back up his theories.
     Blackout curtains kept anyone from asking questions about the artificial lights that stayed on all day and night, and he budgeted all other use of his electricity by charging everything at work on the occasions he went in. He was running dangerously low on battery packs. Perhaps on his next commute, he would stay the night with the excuse of making up for his absences. At least all the work that mattered was on paper: untraceable, easy to take with him anywhere, written in shorthand, ready to be burned at a moment's notice-- the greatest complications were his rebellious carpal tunnels, which would inconvenience him during productive flows. He began to wear wrist braces regularly. Despite how long he coasted under the radar, people eventually noticed. By then, however, he was as good at lying as his mother-- even better at omissions and excuses.
     He was lucky his wrist began to cramp when it did, for once. He put his work down and meandered, loosening his brace to hang by his thumb. Sighing, he rolled the joint in slow circles and stretches. He was caught between the study and hall when he heard the front doorknob click. His skin jumped as the intruder's entrance was abruptly stopped by the other locks. "For the love of--" a familiar voice uttered from outside before Hikaru could bolt for the matches and set the building aflame. Then the doorbell began ringing.
    "Coming!" He hollered to his impatient guest before racing clumsily for his bedroom. He snatched up his phone after flinging the blankets aside. Several missed texts. A couple missed calls. All from Mom.
     He couldn't believe it. His head buzzed, nearly afloat with fear and excitement. What was she doing here? What was he going to do about this? He couldn't think-- didn't have the luxury. His body moved of its own accord. Once he passed the study threshold, he had to revert to Sato Hikaru again. Above all else, he knew he must keep these lives separate. He walked to the front door and unlocked the chain, the deadbolt, and the barrel bolt. The knob, of course, had already been unlocked via a spare key.
     He opened the door right as Hanami's finger hovered over the bell button again; she startled and her filtered mask shifted on her grinning cheeks. "Hikaru," she sang out, "you're still in your pajamas! Did you oversleep?" As she was saying this, he squinted against the sun blazing behind her shoulders. Had he truly been making observations and notes into the afternoon?
     "Mom, what are you doing here?" He asked, and although he treated her with a consciously cordial distance, he wanted to welcome her back home with an embrace. Two years ago, he would have been desperate for her to show up out of nowhere like this. It wasn't hard to feign illness-- he was trembling, physically fighting himself as he stepped aside to let her in. "Did you come here from the airport on your own? Haven't you been keeping up with Japanese news? It's dangerous to go around alone--"
     "What? Nonsense," she replied, shifting her convenience store bags into her other arm. "All Might may be retired, but he was still the number one hero, and always will be in my mind so long as he lives." The irony of those words: invoking a hero whose presence had never once shone light onto their horrible situation made Hikaru frown.
     "But the random sightings of those things-- those Nomu--"
      "I won't be listening to any paranoid drivel, Hikaru. If I want that, I'll turn on the TV." (His armpits prickled-- he had sold that long ago for money, for his nursery. He wondered when she would notice all the empty spaces in their home.) She moved to pat his face, but he swiftly stepped to her burdened side in an attempt to take the groceries. "Oh-- dear, you don't have to do that." The gesture successfully distracted her and she took command by moving into the kitchen, setting down her bags and removing her mask. "Wow, it's so dark in here." But when she flicked at the light switch, it didn't turn anything on. Nor did it obey when she aggressively tried three more times.
     "I don't have light bulbs, Mom. Migraines."
     "Right," she seemed only marginally discomforted by how poorly she fit back into this life. She returned to her bags, rifling through them in search of something. "I thought you would be hungry. You work so hard and rest so little when you're unwell... even as a kid, you were always sneaking out of bed, trying to squirrel yourself away in dark, quiet places to read. Oh!"
     She turned around with a paper packet. A chill rooted itself along the curve of Hikaru's spine at the sight of it. This could spoil the whole visit. "For you," she said, amiable and at ease. "You've got the flu, right? I talked to a doctor friend of mine-- this will help you sleep it off. And probably help with those migraines!"
     "Thank you," he said softly, trying to seem more pleasantly surprised than quietly horrified. She must have sensed his cautiousness-- there was always the chance he wouldn't let her touch him again, so this was her thinking three steps ahead of him. He didn't expect her to go so far as to procure him a prescription or behind-the-counter medication. It was too obvious, too dangerous... unless it wasn't. He wanted to take a look at it, but she didn't hand it to him either. Rather, she set it in front of her with the produce and pantry goods.
    "I brought you tea, too."
    "Thanks, Mom." Under the guise of setting up his electric kettle, he watched her unpack dinner ingredients. "... How was Sydney?"
     She stuck out her lower lip in theatrical disappointment. "I was in Sydney last week, dear. I came in from Paris." He knew it would hurt her feelings if he wasn't obsessing over her every movement. They had to watch out for each other-- nevermind that she was the one who left him.
     "How was Paris?" he smiled, glad to gave gotten a reaction from her that wasn't completely staged.
     "Boring. I missed you the whole time."
     The sincerity softened and humbled him. "I've missed you too, Mom." ... Was he being too cruel? The fact she showed up in a time of need meant she was trying. She was even filling the quiet for him, breaking the ice by launching into a story about a little Parisian café she frequented with Kaede.
     When he tried to fall into routine next to her, she looked at him. "Go sit!" she insisted, and he remembered his white lie. He continued to watch her work from the couch, his arm stretched along its back. She cracked open the window curtain first for some natural light to see by. Then she spoke to him as she washed, cut, and assembled ingredients. "As I was saying, Kaede's daughter was recently engaged, so we had a drink to celebrate. We also got them a nice bottle of dinner wine," she gave a little chuckle, "they might have need for it. Kaede said that their first goal after the wedding is to start growing their family."
     "Give the couple my congratulations," Hikaru said warmly, though he hardly knew Kaede's daughter or her partner. He doubted they were real.
     "Have you been seeing anyone?" his mother asked suddenly and shamelessly.
     "No, Mom," he sighed. "I'm busted and broken, remember?"
     "You're not--!" she argued defensively, rounding about and casting a vicious gesture with an unsheathed knife. The motion had been so abrupt that they both felt the air crackle. A past recrimination lingered unspoken before she turned back to chopping vegetables. Hikaru could have pressed it. But the last thing he needed was an explosive argument-- much less the forced, heartmelting reconcilation in its aftermath. He resisted the urge to needle and squirm under her skin, to annoy her the way she annoyed him now.
     "... No, I'm not seeing anyone. I'm Quirkless, so I'm at a disadvantage."
     "So what? What does that have to do with dating?"
     This was the invisible wall they broke their noses upon. Although her Quirk was supposedly dubbed "Empathy," sometimes it felt Hanami was anything but. Or perhaps she relied too much on the Quirk to bother with context anymore. She needed only touch someone and she would be granted the knowledge of their emotional state, their physical well-being, and their memories. Her Quirk appealed to human desire-- to be immediately understood, to have needs and wants realized without the work of expressing it. It couldn't hurt that she was a natural beauty: petitely formed, clear-skinned, dark-lashed, and pouty-lipped. Meanwhile, her son was comparatively average: soft-bellied, beetle-browed, pockmarked, and gloomy-faced. Even though she was over fifty, she had an uncanny knack for makeup and lighting. She looked like a movie star in public, while people barely spared Hikaru anything longer than a brief glance. He struggled to explain this concept, despite appreciating his privacy. "Mom, I have boring looks, a boring job, and boring hobbies. On paper, I'm Quirkless; even if I found someone I was comfortable telling personal information to--"
     "Hardly personal," his mother muttered.
     "--then it's not like anyone would have an optimistic view of me. The only people who make me feel wanted are the ones who like me... at a disadvantage."
     Hanami paused. Strafed past the implication. "Well... I'm your mother, so it's my job to make sure you're happy and settled in life. Someone who can't give you the support you need in this time of your life isn't worth your time anyway."
      He stared at her. She was too engrossed in measuring out bouillon. He understood the message: he just didn't know what she expected him to say. *'Sure, Mom. After all, that's what the people watching us want, isn't it? They want whatever I have. They want what my father had.'* He wondered if she was really giving up, or if she had simply forgotten all the pains and suffering he'd been through.
     Well, he still remembered the innumerable meetings with Quirk professionals. His world had flipped upside down with every sheepish diagnosis, every nuanced discussion that Quirks were still actively studied, that humanity learned more every day. She wanted to be sure: It was imperative that every doctor that saw him support her alibi. And her scheme worked. Each one said the same thing: Quirkless kids were becoming more common, and it was possible to be born with an 'average' amount of toe bones and still be Quirkless. It wasn't a direct correlation after all-- human evolution was messier than that.
     When the children at school sensed an otherness in him, the bullying began. Then the constant moving. Then the sicknesses. His immune system succumbed to the stress, weakening his body so that he couldn't leave bed. His primary sickbed companion besides his mother was his childhood friend-- an adopted Shiba Inu named Koyubi.
     Every morning, when there were only doctors' visits and existential crises to awaken to, he could only be comforted by her immediate presence on his stomach. Her square head tucked perfectly into the groove of his arm, and her worried little brows puckered anytime his breathing went shallow. Hanami hated the dog to be on their furniture, but Koyubi's unwavering faith in him made it easier to live. He would pat the empty space at his side, specifically reserved for the canine. She never bounced or jolted him-- her clambering was sweet and polite, and she wanted nothing more than to rest with him... So constant was her loyalty that she too became sick. She must have contracted something from him, his mother said, and she quarantined them both. Then Koyubi died in the other room, when she ought to have fallen asleep next to him.
     Surely Hanami remembered the suicide attempt of his adolescence shortly after, when he was sick and tired of being sick and tired. It wasn't about the dog-- not entirely. His world was shrinking, his future slipping through his fingers like sand before he had the chance to appreciate it. He could feel himself, as a tangible thing deteriorating, eroding. The suicide attempt and depersonalization, followed by long sessions of therapy and reduced freedoms, was never in the past for him, even after he persevered through the worst of it... As a child, he had already grappled with the harsh truth that nobody's life was really their own.
     He couldn't bring himself to believe Hanami would actually forget any of that. She had seen his suffering through it all. Everything she did, she did for him, because she loved him and wanted him to be safe and happy.
    But then, if she loved him so much, why did she let him believe he was Quirkless for so long? Why was it that when he confronted her with the truth, she ran, absconding across the globe to get away from him? Why did it take him 'falling ill again' to draw her back into his life? He once believed she was his greatest advocate. But that was wrong-- he held no possession over this woman until he uncovered her most shameful secret: it had always been his life in her hands, and she wasn't used to the roles being reversed.
     "What about that girl, Izumi?" His mother asked, apparently stubborn on this particular subject. "The one who gave you the spider plant?"
     "Mom, we were just schoolmates. I haven't spoken to her since graduation." Of course, because Hanami had never cared to actually learn the inner workings of his life, this was a huge leap in logic. Izumi was his only friend when he rejoined society. Everyone else greeted Hikaru politely and that was all-- his desk had been empty for the majority of his transfer. It may as well have remained that way. But she had gotten him a small plant as a 'welcome back' gift, though they had only met at the beginning of their term. She offered to help him catch up on assignments before finals, not that he needed it. His mother's carrot-and-stick approach to childrearing had elevated him to an intelligence above his peers.
    But he never forgot the kindness with which she offered him help. Almost every day, she would coast by his desk and make her offer. She didn't put it upon him or assume, and neither did she feign blindness to his hardship. He had secretly used Koyubi's ashes as fertilizer for her plant, which felt right to him at the time; taking care of something else made him want to kill himself less. Koyubi lived on through the spider plant. What it represented to him became something irreplaceable: it wasn't just for him to nurture, nor was it a distraction from his compulsive mental unraveling. It was a seed of thought, germinating into a tangle of unburied lies.
     That plant was still alive and well in the study. He had taken care of it religiously, hoping to dry and press its blossoms to show his appreciation to Izumi. But rather than sprouting tiny bone-white flowers, it had produced a bud that opened and dropped a little calcium deposit on his floor. He asked Izumi about it, whose psychometric Quirk could identify small objects. He told her he found it not far from the potted plant, but she laughed and shook her head. 'Your puppy was probably teething nearby and the tooth came off into a chew toy,' she said with an assuring smile. 'I didn't know you had a dog!'
     After that, he could never have a normal relationship with her-- much less a romantic one. She knew too much.
     "Well. What about your neighbor down the hall? Watanabe?" She snapped herb leaves into the steaming Dutch oven. "You two seemed close." By which she meant, she had become envious that her son was outgrowing her company. And still, she was expected to shrug him off onto someone else.
     "Watabe?" Hikaru corrected. "She moved away before you left. That's why she brought me that peace lily." The flower had been her grandmother's. At first Hikaru was against accepting such a gesture, but Watabe made it clear that it would mean more for him to have it. 'Really, I have a rotten thumb,' she'd said, by then fatigued. Life and its hardships was slowly sapping her natural warmth and loveliness. 'I'm so busy putting things in storage and helping my family arrange the funeral-- I'm already killing it with my negligence.' She hadn't been wrong, so he accepted the lily. He never saw Watabe in the halls again, but returned the flower to its former beauty and health in her honor... and over time, in place of the stamen, a meat-encrusted phalange grew from the pale cupped petal.
     "Whatever happened to that lily?" His mother asked, suddenly deciding to give a shit about the mundane details. She took the opportunity to take a good look around the apartment, faltered, the corners of her mouth twitching down. "What happened to the TV?... Where are all your plants, Hikaru?"
     He slowly rose from the couch, wiping his clammy hands onto his fabric pants. "... I sold the TV. The plants are in my office, Mom."
     "Oh!" She was surprised and almost let it slide, but now the gears in her head were working. She returned to the soup and stirred up its contents. "... All of your plants? Do you have the space for that?" Even though he couldn't see her face, he could envision her eyes darting as she fumbled with the impossibilities. If she wasn't regretting her actions now, she never would.
     May as well get it over with.
     "My home office, Mom."
     She paused for a moment. "Oh. Do we share a bedroom again? We haven't done that since you were--"
     "No, Mom. I have my room and my office. That's it." He hesitated before awkwardly muttering, "Well, the bathroom and hallway and--"
     "Where am I meant to sleep then." It was a question, but spoken with such seething vitriol that Hikaru could only sigh. It was as he thought: she wouldn't reconsider her behavior. Not now. Not ever.
     "Did you really leave for two years and expect me to keep that absence open for you?" He wasn't talking about the room.
     Hanami wouldn't deign to respond. Once again, asking for her thought process was taken as a passive aggressive barb. She slowly opened the cupboard where the bowls were stored. She spooned out soup then brought the servings to the wall-attached bar table, which separated the kitchen and the living room. Hikaru circled the couch to the two stools, but Hanami remained standing on her side of the bar.
    "Well... you can just throw them out. Make room for me." She stirred her spoon around the bowl and dipped her head low enough that Hikaru felt safe glancing past her.
     The paper package was open. He hadn't been watching close enough.
    "Hell no."
     Her head jerked up again at that. Her eyes boggled out with such nausea, a coldness washed plunged down on his head. "Why can't you convert it into a bedroom again?"
     "I got rid of the bed. I need somewhere to do my work, Mom."
     "Why can't I share your room then?"
     "I don't have furniture in there either."
     "What?!" She shook her head in disbelief. "Why would you do that?"
     "Because I could!" He nearly lost control of his volume. He cleared his throat and mimicked the way she formed an endless spiral in the soup, just so she could see how stupid she looked. "I'm not a toddler anymore, Mom. I'm a grown adult and I want my space. I haven't been cashing your checks, either. You can take those back. I got a job so I can support myself."
    "But your sicknesses--"
     "Don't start," he warned her. And for once, she seemed to listen. After all, he hadn't had a real sick day since she'd been gone. Without her anxiety polluting his life and body and decisions, he had gained his strength back all on his own and lost his parasitic neediness. He was thinking clearly for once about all the things his mother said that didn't make sense. All the things she did-- supposedly for his benefit-- that only made him worse.
     "You wouldn't have to anymore," she insisted. "I make enough that you don't have to work at all!"
     "I like to work."
     "We could move out," she decided then and there, "find a seaside condo!"
     "I like this apartment."
     "Most men would like for their rich parent to take care of them, you know," she teased, as if comedy could make this any less uncomfortable for him.
     "I don't. It's embarrassing."
     "Your disrespect is embarrassing."
     An awkward quiet punctuated her bluntness. Hanami smoothed her cinnamon-hued hair down and came out with her concerns. "Maybe... you could at least convert it into a bedroom for a roommate. It doesn't have to be for me."
      "Mom," he groaned, inwardly rolling his eyes and dropping his shoulders.
    "You don't have any friends to rely on if things go badly Has anyone at work even messaged you to make sure you're well?"
     "What does it matter to you?"
     "I'm your mother," she said, as if that meant anything. Her face slacked, and she looked at him solemnly. "I love you... I know we've had our fair share of secrets between us, but that doesn't mean you can do this alone. It's been just you and me for as long as you've been alive, Hikaru. I've kept you safe for this long, suppressing that Quirk of yours so that there's no target on your back... Doesn't that mean anything?"
     He should have known better than to hope. Of course this wasn't about them-- it was always about her. If she did the minimum what she was told to do (such as raise a boy with a rare Quirk and encourage his reproduction) without cooperating with demands, then she couldn't be blamed for anything. Her conscience was clean now that he was an adult: she meant to leave him on his own. Hikaru stood with his untouched soup. "Thanks for the dinner," he said dryly. This was the final mercy he would give her. She had pushed them to this breaking point-- but he cared for her so deeply that if she backed down now, he would at least pretend to forget. He couldn't forgive her, but he could spare her.
      She didn't take the hint. "Hikaru, tell me what's going on. Why are you acting so cold to me? Don't you love me anymore?"
     "Let's not keep secrets then," Hikaru began, his voice aloft with unrestrained bitterness. "Since you're so willing to make amends, I have questions of my own. What are you hiding?" As he moved, so did she. She rotated her body so that he was never behind her, turning fully from the table as he approached the sink.
     "What?" Hanami cocked her head.
     "You never did ask about my Quirk. You didn't even want to know how I found out about it. The first thing you did was get as far from me as possible." He dumped the soup down the drain slowly. The overcooked vegetables plopped and disintegrated into a mass, clogging progress. "... I'll get to the heart of it. I know you're scared of what I could be. So I have to wonder..." He looked her in the eye. "Who was my father?"
     Her breath hitched, and with a glistening in her eyes, she whispered, "Don't ask me that."
     "Why can't I know?"
     "It's for your own good."
     "I don't want my own good. I want the truth."
     "Then it's for my own good!" she cried. "Do you want to hurt me?" Her voice had sharpened to a sleek edge, defensiveness creeping into her words.
     "Fine then. Dad's off the table." He stepped closer and noted how she didn't shrink away. She was scared, but not of what he could do to her. She believed she had him outmatched if it came to a physical altercation. But she still held back, giving him the upper hand somehow... "Tell me about you, then."
     She blinked innocently. He went on. "I know Empathy isn't your real Quirk. I know that Sato Hanami only officially existed at all twenty-one years ago. And that her entire history is fabricated." Sato Hanami, as an identity, was only a little more than a year older than Sato Hikaru. "Whoever falsified your information did a messy job. I'm surprised I'm the first one in the HPSC to notice... but I guess they have more 'friends' to wave those concerns off for you."
     She didn't answer for so long that he wondered if this was how she planned to salvage this nightmare: to get her purse from off the kitchen counter first, bid a farewell excuse for her next event, and she would be gone. Maybe for another year or two. Maybe for only an hour, returning at the ripe opportunity to find Hikaru in the throes of regret, malleable and desperate.
     Hanami squeezed the countertop edge until her knuckles paled. "... Why are you doing this?"
     "Answer me or get out."
     He saw her consider it. Saw her eyes flicker to the door before she heaved a sigh. "... Think carefully about whether you want this or not."
     Hikaru dropped his bowl into the sink with a clatter, and before he could grab her and force her out of his apartment, she started: "My name used to be Kumagai Misato. You probably know me better as Vitality." This made him sink into the counter himself. He stared at her, trying to recognize the former hero. She stared back, knowing he wouldn't.
      His suspicions had been off. Perhaps it was his bias. He'd assumed she'd been a villain, or some no-name civilian snatched from her home. The fact she used to be so high-profile gave him further reason to hesitate. But he'd had enough of her kicking out his every attempt to gain freedom. "It's nice to finally meet you, Kumagai," Hikaru said dryly. "When were you planning to tell me that my Quirk is an offshoot of Biohack?"
      "Don't act like this." She couldn't look at him. She was staring right past his elbow, to the cold stove and its unwanted nutrition. "I still raised you. I'm your mother, and I'm due that respect at least."
     "... Someone changed your appearance. So they didn't want you to be recognized."
     Her lips twisted in mock dismay. "Give me some credit... I didn't want to be recognized." Her eyes briefly glanced to the leftover soup on the stove. Hikaru drew the connection between her plastic surgery and the readily available prescription pad: hot anger washed down his body, realizing that she had means of subtlety which she never shared.
     Their blood relation couldn't be argued. The confirmation of her true Quirk suddenly filled in part of the puzzle for him: like Empathy, Biohack allowed its user to interphase with a living thing and procure a mentally itemized list of its target's components, statuses, and logistics. The most outstanding and vital difference was that Biohack operated on a cellular level: Vitality couldn't produce or evaporate new matter, but could 'persuade' microscopic lifeforms to override their natural lifespans.
     With a power like that, given enough work and resources and practice, she could probably help cure cancer. She could be tinkered upon and made into a walking bioweapon. Instead, she was playing a pretend game of house, a warden's simulacra of a mother, soothing yet antagonizing a child's pain, snipping the wings of his unpracticed ability. "And I bet Kaede is your handler. Or," and his eyes narrowed at her, "your work driver."
     Hanami-- Kumagai, whatever-- smiled. He steeled his heart against her approval. "Technically she was our handler. But there's no point in keeping a close eye on a Quirkless citizen." Just like that, the power structure changed. He realized now that his biggest mistake was confiding in her back then. "Relax. I'm not going to tell her."
    "How can I trust you?"
     "Because I still haven't told her all this time," Hanami--Vitality-- huffed. "Because I've been doing all I can to keep her away from you as you figure yourself out."
     Hikaru tried not to find himself distracted. Just because she was being cooperative now did not absolve her of past actions. "... How many of our family members are our actual family?" Not that blood relation meant much to this witch, but not everyone was as callous as his mother.
     With another twisted smile-- so proud, but so resentful-- she said, "You've been quietly mapping your way out of the dungeon. Good boy. It's good to know how many soldiers you'll have to fight through to get out. The answer is: none of them... they've never been our allies."
     He had guessed as much. Before Hikaru had become 'reclusive and unfriendly' in his spiraling health, the Sato family gatherings were mandatory; he had assumed his 'relatives' grew tired of accommodating his needs. Not that he would attend again, if given the chance. Now he knew 'reunion' meant submerging himself into a pit of vipers. The only thing that made such events tolerable had been his mother: the one who always made sure there were wheelchair options, who held his things when he became winded, and who knew when to guide him somewhere dark and quiet when the onslaught of stimulation drove him to silent suffering. Little acts of consideration held the stretched seams of their bond together.
     "They're not so smart." He couldn't help commiserating with her, maybe out of some misplaced sympathy still clinging to the wrinkles of his heart. "I always got the feeling they never knew exactly what you told me about my dad."
A 'second-removed aunt' would suggest his father died before he was born, and then suddenly a 'distant cousin' around his age would insist they had known of him after Hikaru's birth. It was a gas leak, someone recalled, and another would wonder if it was an explosion, and someone else would combine the theories to a gas-based explosion. Their dodginess always put the spotlight on his mother.
The only thing Hikaru knew for certain was that even if he asked his own mother about his absent parent, it would produce nothing helpful. She would either clam up completely, overwhelm herself with her own crying, or refuse to answer anything with any certainty. She was like this with everyone, and for the longest time, because he never wanted to hurt her, Hikaru let that sleeping dog lie.
Until she hurt him first.
Before he could open his mouth to ask how she met his dad, she moved. He moved too. In that second his mother lunged for him with an arm outstretched, he reeled back wildly across the counter. His hand found purchase and he swiped out at her with the chef's knife. "Stay back!"
Neither of them harmed each other. As seasoned and experienced as she had been, his mother chose not to strongarm him. All she'd had to do was knock the knife from his hand and seize him. She could inflame the cells in his lungs, turn the water vapor into a pathogen (depending on how good she was), and give him pneumonia. She could make his bones porous and let his legs snap under his own weight. Or maybe she could just flip a switch in his head. He truly didn't know what kind of person Vitality had become in this new life... he didn't know what she was willing to do to survive.
Instead of doing anything of the sort, she looked at the knife. And then she burst into tears. He stood there as she sank down to her knees, bawling like a child. All the while, she babbled on about how she never wanted a motherhood like this. She loved him, she was trying so hard, and she was sorry that she failed him. She was frightened that any day, the people watching them would realize they'd been conned. They would come to take Hikaru away, and she was powerless to stop them. The world would only get worse.
"I'm sorry," Hikaru said, crouching next to her. He left the knife on the counter and scooted closer. His mother was so slim. She had curled her arms around herself so tightly that she seemed to be crushing herself down smaller and smaller. In his mind, he held her and hid his face in her hair as she cried. They were both victims of their mutual circumstance...
'This is exactly what she wants.'
His insides felt hollow when he caught himself. He nearly fell for it. She could have done anything in that moment's weakness. Immediately, he pulled away and got back to his feet to look down on the sight. From an elevated view, he could see all the moving parts. The abandonment, the big fight, the melodramatic apologies. The medicated soup neither of them ate-- for after all, she never intended to dine with him. This was not a meeting of equals. His mother could have simply left the packet on the counter... but she had to take control of him. She needed to have control of something.
He began to clean around her, letting her sit and sob on the kitchen floor. He couldn't build up the strength to abandon his post, so he took his time tossing out the food, tidying the dishes, and putting things away. Eventually her wet hiccupping stopped, and he glanced her way before a horrible nausea rolled his stomach. She watched him with an openly curious expression, her nose and cheeks pinkened. Her eyes shone with tears, yet there held in them a sharpness... a bitterness that he had not done the proper thing and comforted her, like any son would do. She hated that he didn't trust her.
A dim memory flashed before him: fat baby hands patting her back as he sang to her her, 'It'll be okay, it's all okay,' in an astringent waiting room. She held his little hands and squeezed them. He took one back to cover his mouth as he coughed. And then that same glimmer of inspiration appeared in her eyes.. The recollection blended with all the other examinations he had undergone, though he knew without doubt this was one of the first ones. This was the important one, he realized by way of hindsight: it decided their entire, mangled future.
He wished he was capable of Empathy instead. If only he could tell when she was lying to him and when she was sincere. For so long, he battled with the idea that his suffering had been at the hands of his mother. His mother, the one who worked harder than anyone else to keep him comfortable and safe, she who had never before left his side. Had she been protecting him, or was that an excuse to keep misery as her company?
He knew the night would be cold. He began to fill his electric kettle with water, preparing to make her a large serving of tea to keep her warm on her way to the airport. "I can't let you stay here," he told her. "Especially not if Kaede is expecting you at your next charity dinner." He didn't want to go out... but he still ought to protect what mattered to him, so he planned his route back after accompanying her to the train station. He was loathe to give up his sentry, terrified that by drawing him away from the apartment some fiend would infiltrate his privacy, but... he still loved her, even after everything she had done.
She could be so quiet when she wanted to be. If he hadn't turned to prepare her tea at the table, he would never have caught her in the hallway, staring at all the cords and hoses. She reached for the door that his other self hid behind.
He must have scared her. It was one thing to grab for a weapon, any weapon, in the face of potential danger. It was another to vault over the bar, graceful and gravely swift. Without thinking, he grabbed her by the wrist. She let him yank her, and did not scream or cry or wrench herself away. In that instant, he felt something slam into his sternum-- a sudden ghost pressure that made him release her and stumble back. They froze again, caught in another disjointed conflict. They watched each other, more or less unmoored as they processed everything. She had felt the hand-laid mental wall he built up against her, knew now what he was capable of. Whatever fears he was feeling, whatever his problems might be, she was no longer privy to them. He had categorically shut her out, compartmentalized into a 'public' personal file that only knew Hikaru to be a sleep-deprived workaholic.
"Please leave it alone," he requested. "That's private."
---
Hikaru began to cough during their walk. Softly at first like clearing his throat, but the fits soon became frequent. Hanami seemed to consider offering her tea, but decided against it. Instead, she gestured vaguely with the thermos he gave to her: heads up. He was grateful for that-- after all, they now had company. Two people were behind them. The lurkers from Kaede's apartment he assumed, and supposed another two would be waiting for them at the station. He kept his mask on, and they didn't dare to speak or even look at each other as they walked, instead pretending to ignore their invisible surveillance.
It took all his self-restraint not to turn on her in their last seconds. The vile desire to hurt her as much as she had hurt him still hummed just under his skin. He considered shoving her onto the tracks just before the train pulled in-- causing a scene that would force the faceless henchmen to react. He wondered what would happen if he ever needed to run. He considered what it was like to destroy yourself completely, to be reborn anew... how would he leave everything he knew behind and try to get out of reach before the walls shrank in on him?
"... I never knew what to do with you, you know," Hanami murmured under her breath, so that only he could hear. "You were always the kindest, smartest kid I knew. Kids half your age could hurt your feelings... I knew if anyone else got a hold of you, they would render your heart into pieces and you wouldn't stand a chance."
"Thanks for the vote of confidence," he muttered back.
"You're welcome," she said, and they were quiet again until the train pulled up. "The tour will last another year. You have until then. Goodbye." How considerate of her, to keep it brief. To buy him time. But as she stepped into the train, his heart stopped in his chest, and he found himself calling to her.
"Hey."
His mother glanced back. Either time slowed, or she sustained this gaze for several deliberate seconds. He couldn't tell. He stepped past the yellow line and wrapped his arms around her body. She tensed, then relaxed, settling her arms over his shoulders. With his face so close to her ear, he asked, "... Your doctor friend... they're the same one who did your surgery, aren't they?... Who are they?"
She pulled away and scrutinized him. Then tilted her head forward, as if to ask one final time if he was certain he wanted to know. He didn't budge.
She slipped out of his hug, brushing his hair from his face using her wrist. His nausea settled only fractionally. "Body Shop," she said in English. Then she turned and walked back into the train, the doors closing between them.
As the train pulled away, Hikaru felt it take a piece of him with it, unraveling his insides like a busy spool. When he saw the three figures stand and close in on the woman before he lost sight of her completely, his head spun with delirious rage and fear... even though he knew she wasn't so easy to corner. She would squirm out of the pan before determining whether it landed her in the fire or not, and deal with the consequences then. Before her absence took more than he could stand to lose, he cut her free, turned, and walked away.
---
He made it home after dark, just in time to fall into an uproarous hacking, his bones aching for relief, muscles burning with exertion. He wheezed air into his lungs laboriously and went straight to the kitchen sink for a drink of water. There, he found the disembowled paper bag next to the sink, right where it had been forgotten.
He grabbed it, sought identification to no avail, then tore open the rest of its contents. All the medicine was gone. He took a moment to stare down at the mess, considering what might have happened if he just pretended he hadn't noticed. Would she have eaten if he did? Or was all of her effort for him and only him?
He couldn't return to his work. The chance of contaminating his specimens was too great. He would have to finish scrawling his reports and measurements down by his dying phone's flashlight, away from them all... to be alone was torture, but he wasn't as selfish as his mother was.
So he went back to the bathroom and scrubbed down. Spending that energy was necessary, but his strength waned. By the time he was in his hazardous material suit, his throat was scratchy and his body was shivering. Hikaru weakly approached the study, opening the door slowly so as not to overexert or jostle himself. He picked up his notebook and looked out over the room.
The spider plant hung overhead, a small tarp catching Koyubi's puppy teeth as they bloomed and fell. Arms protruded from garden pots with fingers lifting and curling with invitation. Brown-eyed Susans rolled around with no particular field of vision and blunk their yellow-petaled eyelashes now and again. A human spinal column-- or at least, a rope of nerve tendrils soon to become a spine-- braided its length along a custom trellis. A brain floated in an artificial pond like a lily pad, the stem rooted to the muddy bottom. Organs grew in wall-mounted, and tight-lidded aquariums: the brackish water beheld lacy scum and mold rings diversifying into innumerable flora and bacteria, converging into a singular whole.
Any sane person would have thrown the plants out immediately and never so much as looked at a cactus. But using his Quirk made him feel better; even the most vicelike grip on his brain now was lessened by the presence of his plantlife. It was as though there was something excessive in him, poisoning him, and by nurturing his garden to its anatomical apotheosis, there was less of that something. It was rewarding. It was euphoric. The only thing he wanted to do was grow, study, and learn. He was good at it, and it presented a puzzle in a language only he could parse.
But he knew it was a two-way street. He couldn't risk getting all of them sick, or all his hard work would be for nothing. "Goodnight." His farewell sounded tinny in the confines of his hood as he shuffled out the door.
By the time he was tucked into bed, Hikaru's chills were so severe that the shivers shook his handwriting. He could only reflect on his previously collected data and marvel at the possibilities of his Quirk. The variables were endlessly fluctuating: all his creations were vulnerable to soil composition, water levels, light intensity, bodily fluids... he reread the section regarding biological material. Hindsight and obsessive studying had cast light some of the mystery.
According to the Quirk singularity theory, the combination of hereditary genes could combine into more complex, powerful Quirks. A lineage of autonomic-override Quirks, such as his mother's, could lead to interesting combinations. But he couldn't explain the plants... the only inheritance that remained of his father, the most nebulous aspect of his power.
Hikaru understood why someone would want his Quirk. Growing bodies came incredibly naturally to him. Over time, as sweat and skin mixed into the nutrients, the microscopic formula became stronger. Semen, as awkward and uncomfortable a phase it had been, worked fractionally better than sweat or saliva. Blood was easier to extract though, and paper cuts were easy enough to explain.
But the more ineffable aspect was the proximity to his plants: the way he knew they were sick or dying, because then he too would wilt. His strength correlated to theirs. There was more to his Quirk than merely imbuing it with his essence... if it were so simple, then he wouldn't be a hostage in his own life.
The spider plant's first blossom was the revelation: he was as much a victim as his mother, and the things he did to explore his options came from a need to save himself. He wasn't proud of it, not entirely. But he also hadn't hurt anyone. He had taken hair from strangers' sweaters, stolen misplaced beverages, and even gone so far as to filch used dental picks from the trash, for their saliva. Was it such a crime to be thorough? Were people really so fond of their discarded napkins and bandages? He had to be sure-- he had to prove to himself that there was a rhyme or reason to his experiments, so he randomized the test subjects. He wanted to see how precise his Quirk could be.
Thanks to all the groundwork, he had a project and a hypothesis. Could he be criticized for being thorough? And given tonight's revelations... it would be possible.
In another life, maybe his mother could have trusted him. They could have talked it over together, and maybe he wouldn't have to do this. The only way he could think to trace back his Quirk to a different progenitor-- without anyone knowing anything about what he had done or planned to do-- was to recreate his and his mother's and dissect the differences.
In a matter of time, Hikaru would know whether or not he could grow a Quirk. He would find out more about this 'Body Shop,' and he would escape the confines of his cage.
One day. One day.

The room, for once, is filled with honeyed light. You blink open bleary eyes and stare out into the shallow pools of morning puddling in swaying shapes on the floor, vision slowly focusing until you catch the lazy swirls of dust motes dancing through the air. You keep telling Tomura to open some windows, let the fresh air in before it gets too cold and you all end up even more cooped up than you already feel you are on the daily, but he’s stubborn about it so you have to sneak his open a crack when he’s not around. So far he hasn’t noticed. Maybe you’ll risk sliding it up a little further this afternoon.
Beside you, you can hear Tomura’s slow, shallow breathing from where he lays, one of his arms slung across your middle, elbow resting in the dip of your waist as you lay on your side, your back almost touching his chest. You find his hand where it’s carefully placed up near your own chest, fingers curled tightly inward even though he wears those two-fingered gloves whenever you two sleep together. You tell him you trust him, that he’s spent a majority of his life learning to sleep through the night without decaying anything while unconscious, but he says having your trust isn’t the deciding factor.
“I don’t trust myself,” he’d snapped one evening when you were pressing him about it, trying to come from a place of reassurance but inevitably pushing him a little too far. “You don’t understand,” he’d continued, after a short huff of a sigh and a trembling hand raked back through his unruly waves. “It’s just— If that were to happen, I can’t take it back. I can’t take it back. I—”
You’d approached him, slow and cautious, like he was an injured animal that looked vulnerable right now but, once within reach, might thrash and snap, bare its teeth and bite down hard. “Tomura…” you’d murmured, reaching out a hand, testing to see if he’d let you place it on his cheek. “It’s ok…” He’d leaned into your touch, let his eyes flutter closed, his next exhale coming out as a shaking, raspy whine. You’d gently pulled him down until your foreheads were touching, hoping that simple act helped to make at least some of his fear melt away, the terror pulling back from shore for a short while even if its return was inevitable. You’d let the silence settle between you two before you’d said, your voice barely above a whisper, “I know…”
So he slipped on the gloves, you buckling them in place around his thin wrists, and from then on some of the tension he held whenever he’s around you disappears.
The first touch is always the hardest though.
It’s always the scariest.
It’s as if he worries the rules of his quirk will suddenly change, that needing all five fingers in order to decay will mutate into needing only one and he’ll be forced to helplessly watch you crumble to dust between his destructive hands, frantically trying to gather up the particles as if he could use them to reconstruct you somehow, or maybe just to keep a part of who you used to be, if worse came to worst.
But once his hand— palm, fingers, and all— was safely resting against the side of your neck, he allowed himself to feel some relief.
Because, like that, you could be his.
Like that, he could hold you.
You stiffly shimmy out from beneath his arm, making sure to carefully lift the limb and set it comfortably back down close to him. You stand, greeted by the quiet crackling pops of a few joints, and make your way over to that cracked window. You glance behind you. Tomura’s still asleep. So you catch the lip of the window with the edge of your grip and pull upward, struggling for a moment before it finally gives and slides all the way to the top, the rush of sound quick but louder than you were hoping for.
When you look over your shoulder again, you see Tomura’s eyes are open now, looking fully alert in just an instant, though his body remains still and frozen in the same position that you left it, tufts of white hair hanging at odd angles in his eyes and over his shoulder.
“Sorry…” you wince, coming back over to sit on the bed beside him. He begins to stir, turns over onto his chest to push up onto his elbows, the tousled sheets slipping and exposing more of his pale back, the scars cross-hatching across the skin shining faintly silver in the morning’s soft glow.
“You can go back to bed if you want to,” you tell him, feeling guilty for waking him so soon. You know he’s usually one to sleep into the afternoon and beyond.
He clicks on your phone, 8:15 lighting up on the screen before fading to black again. “It’s fine,” he sighs, turning over again to sit up, slouching over a bit as he rubs at the back of his neck, fingers getting caught in a loose knot in his hair as he combs it through, letting out a pronounced yawn. He looks at you as you shuffle closer and asks, “How long have you been up?”
“Not long,” you tell him. “Only a few more minutes before you.”
Tomura opens his mouth, about to say something, but stops when you both hear one of the other members of the League creaking around from downstairs. You’re willing to bet it’s Atsuhiro. He’s the only regularly early-rising person among you.
Whatever words Tomura was going to speak are reduced to a low rumble of annoyance and the clenching of his jaw, as if he’s just been reminded of something he’d been trying to avoid.
In this small bout of contemplation, Tomura shifts from beneath the covers and swings his legs over the side of the bed, bending down to grab up the bundle of black denim on the floor which unfurl into his jeans, fishing out his phone from the back pocket and turning it on only to be greeted with an abundance of notifications. Instead of reading them, he mutters something under his breath and tosses it onto the nearby side table, leaning forward to give you a better view of his back again. Now that you’re closer, you can better see the fading red scratch tracks that travel down his shoulders, though for once the marks weren’t made by his own jagged nails.
The sight of it takes you back to last night, when the room had been doused in silver instead of gold and filled to the brim with the quiet, lilting sounds of your combined pleasure. You could still feel the ghost of him wrapped around you, encasing you in his scent, his touch, his very essence as if attempting to meld you both into one.
But, like most things, no matter how much you tried to tell him he didn’t need to be so delicate with you, doesn’t need to treat you like you’re one touch away from being broken, he doesn’t listen. He’s so gentle, even as his hips meet the inside of your thighs and he drives himself into your tight, wet heat even deeper, as if hoping to burrow a new home inside of you, to leave a piece of himself there so you’ll always carry it around.
Your moans are perhaps his favorite sound in the entire world, hearing the way they break off into a clipped whimper when he hits that soft, spongy spot deep inside of you, his own moans choked out as your silky walls squeeze around his length, wringing pleasure from him in a way that’s both relentless and heavenly.
When you wrap your legs around his waist to pull him in deeper still, he’s on the verge of losing any ounce of control he has left, tempted to take your wrists and pin them above your head so he can pound into you hard enough to well tears in your eyes and have you crying out in a way that’s helpless and hurting and all his, his, his.
But when he looks down at you, sees that telltale trust that reflects back at him in your gaze, he keeps the more carnal parts of his desires at bay. Because, while he may take pride in being a symbol of fear to the rest of the world, if there’s only one person he doesn’t want to view him like that, it’s you.
When you come undone, arching your back as your mouth hangs open with a silent scream, that’s when your nails rake across his flesh quick and hard, not quite breaking the skin but bursting the blood vessels beneath, a speckling of bright red stippling the tracks of a slightly lighter shade.
He’d let out a hiss followed mere moments later by his own body letting go, a broken whine welling in his throat, the types of sounds he only allows you to hear him make. You’d forgotten you’d scratched him so hard last night almost as soon as it had happened, your mind glazed over with a thick layer of pleasure and saccharine lust, the world around you blurring until the only thing you could seem to make out through the dim dark of the room was him and all that alabaster, scar-covered skin sheened over with sweat.
Now, Tomura beckons you back into his embrace, wanting to feel the warmth of your body seeping into his one more time before he’s forced to rise from his bed and slip back into the cold, hardened role of being the leader of the most feared group of villains in the entire country, perhaps even the entire world.
You’re wearing his t-shirt, the soft black fabric oversized on your form, nothing underneath, the rest of your clothes still left discarded and strewn across the room in a trail from the door to the foot of the bed. Like this, you’re enveloped in his scent, and it leaves you feeling calm and sated. Safe. Like nothing inside of these four walls could ever go wrong.
But you really should’ve known better.
The moment you start to get even a little too comfortable is always when something rears its head to remind you there are no happy endings here.
After a while of listening to your steady breathing and staring out the open window, Tomura works up the courage to say, “Today’s the day, y’know…” hence breaking the illusion that you’d be allowed to live in the fantasy of this haven for more than a single night’s rest.
You close your eyes, let out a long breath, trying to stay your worry. “I know,” you tell him. “I know, but, Tomura…” You turn your face up towards his, hoping to lock eyes with him, even if only for a moment, but he’s still focused on the window he rarely lets you open, furrowing his sparse, silvery brow in a look of intense concentration. Eventually, however, he does look at you, the intensity he held before melting away into something much more concerned.
Be careful, you want to tell him.
If things start to go wrong just get out. Don’t risk letting the heroes get their hands on you.
But what comes out instead is, “Nothing, nevermind…”
You figure he has enough to worry about already. You know he’s fully aware of the risks of this mission and the consequences that will follow if he fails.
So, for now, you allow yourself to sit in this false sense of security and serenity a little longer, whether for another minute, another hour, another day.
He won’t fail, you tell yourself as he places a kiss to the top of your head and smoothes down your hair, rising from the bed and gathering up more scattered articles of his clothing to slip back on before heading downstairs. He can’t.
You then regret opening the window. Perhaps, if you’d left it alone, you could’ve bought a few more hours of peace before the weight of responsibility settled in.
But, at the same time, you also knew that you were both on borrowed time.
Why not enjoy what moments of fresh air and sunlight you could get before it all was reduced to rubble and ash.

I hope you are doing good! And if requests are open might i request some hc of dabi, bakugo, and spike spiegel (its first boyfriend requester again sorry ;w;) reacting to reader who dresses up like them for halloween (or for spike reader dresses like cowboy andy hahaha)
Dressing Up Like Him HCs (Katsuki Bakugo, Dabi, Spike Spiegel)

Dabi/Touya Todoroki
He’s gonna think you’re sooo cute lmaoo
He’ll tell you that too but only once or twice - he doesn't want it to get to your head
Chances are you’re probably wearing his clothes and string bean here long as fuck so it’s likely too big for you in certain ways
But he really likes the look of you in one of his shirts and his jackets (You look ridiculous in his pants because of just how ill-fitted they are on you but that’s beside the point)
The only thing that really throws him off is seeing the staples and skin graft scars on you
It’s a crude emulation of his actual skin grafts made from makeup and face paint, but it served as a weird and startling reminder of just how fragile you compared to him
The pain he suffered as a result of his own flames was hard enough but the idea of going through the same pain and process as him? No thanks
So in the end, he’s gonna think you look cute and will definitely let you borrow one of his jackets anytime you ask because he likes how you look in them
But don’t show him what you’d look like when you’re hurt okay?
Because who knows what he’d do if he saw you hurt like that for real
Tumblr media
Katsuki Bakugo
Even since his debut, Halloween costumes of his hero costume have been pretty hard to come by
So you were pretty lucky to be able to snag a more feminine-looking costume a couple of years after his debut
It wasn’t the greatest material and there were definitely some details that they just didn’t get right (And you know he’d have something to say about the costume creators once he finds out later)
But seeing his face when you showed him the costume was more than enough for you to be satisfied
So naturally, he’s going to be super cocky and like grinning ear to ear like a complete dumbass
Like seeing his SO dress up exactly like him in a cuter version of his costume is really gonna make him happy because that ego is still a little unchecked
But he’s also gonna feel extremely proud
He knew of the existence of the halloween costumes and he knew he had fans
But something about seeing the person he loves most dressing up like him in a show of admiration and affection is probably gonna make him feel all soft and squishy and sweet on the inside
Not that he’d ever admit that though
Tumblr media
Spike Spiegel
At first, he’s gonna be mad because the outfit absolutely reminds him of Andy
But then you hit in with the
“I’m a cowboy Spike! I’m just like you!”
And he’s gonna fucking melt
Suddenly all negative feelings he has about cowboys are being washed away by the image of you looking like you walked fresh off the set of Big Shots
Because he’s him, he gonna mess around with your hat and make you pose and say certain things from old western movies with a drawl
He might even sneak a couple of photos here and there (or he’s gonna be completely shameless about it and take candid photos of you looking cute right in front of your face)
And eventually, he’ll probably hit you with his signature snark and tell you that he doesn’t dress anything like that
But he won’t be quick to ruin your fun though - he’s got a lot more compliments to shower you with
Especially since you dress up like all for him

☆ Genre: fluff, headcanons ☆ Characters: Denki Kaminari ☆ Tags: highschool sweethearts, first date, arcade ☆ Word count: 1.9k words ☆ Warnings: none :) ☆ Author: noelle _____________________________________
☆ Kaminari is the typical hormone induced teenage boy when it comes to talking to girls. He's not very good at it, never really speaks with his heart and gets turned down usually. The fact he can sometimes be seen with Mineta doesn't make it any better.
☆ That is until he meets you.
☆ For the very first time Kaminari's heart is frantically ramming against his rib cage whenever he catches your eyes from across the room to the point he can hear it echoing in his ears. His palms get sweaty and the minute a smile tugs at the corner of your mouth his face lights up.
☆ He's not very good at hiding it, half the class notices even though he swears he's very 'casual and nonchalant' with it. So 'casual and nonchalant' with it that even you yourself can't deny you hadn't noticed.
☆ Its not until that very night that he sat in Bakugou's dorm [who did in fact NOT ask for this]  together with his friends while getting a pep talk on how to actually make a move. An evening of thinking of all possible outcomes. And possible career changes in case the shame of being rejected was too big.
☆ When the moment is finally there he's a blushing mess. His face was as bright as a tomato, sweat dripping down his forehead and he couldn't help but keep tugging at his neckline. At one point he kept trying to avoid his initial question and did anything to avoid it.
"Y-you see,, the birds! Yes,,t-they-" "-Denki?"
☆ There it was. The rejection. The horror. He'd quit UA, maybe transfer to a different hero school there were some great ones out there. That would still have the possibility of running back in you one day though so he'd change his entire future career. He might make a wonderful electrici-
"Would you like to go on a date?"
"..y-yeah!"
☆ After having been made fun of by his friends for failing so hard you had to be the one to ask him the two of you agreed to go on an arcade date. His idea; it wasn't too fancy like a fancy restaurant or gala and nothing too trashy like a Mc donald's dinner. Plus he could show off his fantastic, four in a row basketball skills.
☆ Kaminari got ready three hours beforehand. As if the initial question itself ,which he didn't even end up asking himself, wasn't enough he now had a new wave of nerves washing over him. What to wear? How to do his hair? What cologne to wear? Was he supposed to bring flowers or was that too much?
☆ When he finally stepped out of his room dressed in the most outrageous outfit anyone could think of and as if that wasn't enough he had a fedora to top it off. It was Mina who immediately pushed him back into his room before locking the door behind her and getting to work.
☆ With the newly gained confidence boost he got after seeing himself in the outfit his friend put together for him and the, little too strong, smell of cologne and axe deodorant radiating off of him he goes to pick you up.
☆ He had already planned out the entire thing in his head; Have fun playing a few co op games, racing game here and there and then go with the versus games ending with four in a row basketball. His very specialty, he'd look so cool and you'd think he was awesome.
☆ However, seeing you all dressed up in your pretty sundress and hair done in a cute way he gets flustered. The whole tough cool guy persona gets thrown out the window when you smile at him and lock your arm in his when the two of you make your way to the arcade.
☆ Throughout the entire evening the two of you were that annoying duo who would constantly laugh just a little too loud, cheer just a little too much and the fact Kaminari would constantly drop the most god awful cheesiest pick up lines anyone could think of didn't make it any better.
☆ Slowly but surely the nerves were the last thing he was thinking about as the two of you giggled while racing against each other on Mario kart. Him being Toad and you having picked Toadette. A neck to neck race until both of you got hit by lightning causing the Npc's to finish before you.
☆ Near the end, when both of you started running out of budget, there was one game left. The one Kaminari picked out, which obviously was the four in a row hoop game he was looking forward to the entire night.
☆ A confidence boost flowed through his veins as he pinned his hair back and rolled up his sleeves, the basketball secured in his hands. This was his time to shine. The very thing he knew he could show off with.
☆ That was until you rolled up the sleeves of your dress. And trapped your tongue between your lips. And suddenly had an incredibly determined look on your face. And stood on your tippy toes to get closer to the basket, your dress raising slightly higher just beneath your butt. AND-
☆ Again, a pink hue spread from the tip of his ears to the rest of his face. He had genuinely never been more attracted to you as he did then, to see your determination to beat him was weirdly attractive.
☆ He had a very hard time focusing on the game, especially since you kept teasing him throughout the entire thing by pinching his sides whenever he wanted to shoot his shot. The only thing saving him from failure was the fact you turned out to be pretty bad at the game which caused him to still win last minute.
☆ With a relieved but subtle sigh he leaned against the machine, hand running through his hair and a smug look on his face.
"It's okay, no need to cry.. You didn't stand a chance against a pro like me in the first place."
☆ He adored your laugh. Aside from the fact it was incredibly contagious causing him to smile alongside you, you had the prettiest smile he had ever seen. Kaminari would try and make you laugh all day long if he could. Even if that meant making himself look like a fool it was truly worth it.
"I suppose you can shoot your shot after all, without needing a little nudge that is.."
☆ Before Kaminari could try and throw another witty comment back at you, he watched you take a step closer to him with a grin on your face. This new found closeness made the guy freeze in his spot, eyes as wide as a deer looking at the headlights of a car as you placed your hand on his chest before planting a soft kiss on his cheek.
"Can't let the winner go without a prize now, can i?"
☆ Said with more confidence  than all of his awful pickup lines of that evening combined together. The smell of your sweet perfume was intoxicating, a much more subtle smell than his own thick one. The soft feeling of your lips against his cheek was still lingering.
☆ You only giggled before walking towards the counter with all your earned tickets from that evening, glancing back at him over your shoulder before leaving him completely flustered and frozen.
. . .
. . .
"H-huh..?!"
☆ It was then that Kaminari had learned that a sudden rush of emotion, heart beating out of his chest and cheeks aflame could cause his quirk to short circuit. He had also learned that this very short circuit could cause an entire arcade machine he was still leaning against to malfunction with him.
"Weeeh.."
☆ A great ending to a great date in your opinion.
☆ When he wakes, your arm is linked in his as you guide him back to the dorms. In his entire life the guy had never been so embarrassed as he did now, immediately ripping away from you while bowing his head several times in apology.
☆ Hearing you burst out in laughter before reassuring him that its okay and especially the fact that neither of you had to pay up since the staff thought it was a malfunction due to the machine being on the older side caused a relief to wash over him.
☆ Still he couldn't help but feel a little ashamed so to make up for it he took you to a nearby fast food chain that was still open to score some ice cream where the two of you talked for quite some time.
☆ Mostly the basics to get to know each other a little better but also leaning more towards serious stuff such as your worries about the path that you had both chosen to take as heroes in training and the future that lied ahead of you.
☆ He never really imagined that someone he viewed as talented and cool to have the same worries as him. It made him feel a lot more seen and closer to you. Especially when you reassured him that he'd eventually be able to adjust his quirk better and that he's as powerful as the rest.
☆ Too caught up in the conversations neither of you had really paid attention to the time up until Sero called Kaminari in a worry since curfew had already started and neither of them were anywhere to be seen.
☆ You had never ran so fast in your life as you did then.
☆ Sure Kaminari was upset over the fact it was over but nothing could ever compare to how upset he'd be if Aizawa unleashed his wrath on him for coming back late. Luckily for the two of you,, and the help of some good friends,, you managed to get in without being caught.
☆ As the gentleman that Kaminari is, he insisted he'd walk you all the way [40 seconds with the stairs] back to your dorm. He lingered at your dorm for a little while, whispering a few thank you's and jokes to you right before you heard a noise coming from downstairs.
"I'd love to do this again sometime."
☆ Hearing those words made his heart flutter, a feeling of relief washing over him. Kaminari couldn't help the giddy smile making its way onto his face before he quickly nodded his head.
"Yes! I'd love that.."
☆ It was then that Kaminari gained just the right bit amount of confidence he needed to wrap his arms around you in a hug. Surely he was a little stiff and you were a little overwhelmed by the Axe deodorant that invaded your nostrils but returned it nonetheless.
☆ When he pulled back his head, he smiled at you still having his arms around your waist. God he loved your eyes. He loved every single little detail about you actually. The color of your eyes, the way you smiled and the way you always managed to complete him in the areas in which he lacked confidence.
☆ With a quick peck on your cheek he immediately pulled back. Not knowing what to do next the guy pulled out his finger guns, pointing them to you with a goofy grin on his face before he backed up towards the elevator.
"You're an idiot"
"Hopefully you're idiot soon!"
☆ Rolling your eyes, you shut the door behind you with a soft bang. It wasn't hard to notice the little smile on your face as he said this and he certainly didn't miss it.
☆ It was that smile that gave him the little confidence in his step as he quickly rushed over to Sero's dorm where him, Kirishima and Ashido were waiting for him to tell them all the details. Even if some of the details were left out.

Yay! You're back open for prompts! I love reading anything you write. So what about AiDeku where Izuku is the owner of the coffee shop with the best coffee Aizawa has ever tasted
You're too sweet! Thank you so much!
----------------------------------------------------------
Shouta, after drinking deeply from his cup, stared down at it for a long moment.  Izuku, the owner and barista, stared at him.  “Did you just burn all of your taste buds off?  Because I feel like you just burned all of your taste buds off.”
“Marry me.”  Shouta finally raised his gaze from the coffee cup, just in time to watch Izuku choke on nothing.
“I’m sorry, what?!”  Izuku coughed and rubbed his chest with a grimace.  “Are you insane?”
Shouta raised an eyebrow.  “No.  You make the best coffee I’ve ever tasted, and I’ve had a lot of coffee.  We’re obviously soulmates.  Marry me,” he repeated.
Izuku couldn’t help but laugh.  “Ok, you are getting ahead of yourself,” he told Shouta firmly.  “You have to take me on at least one date before you can ask me to marry you,” he joked with a little smirk.
“Good point,” Shouta said thoughtfully.  “You close in three hours.  I’ll be here at close, and I’m going to take you out on a date.”  He made his way out of the coffee shop to the sounds of Izuku tripping over his words and spluttering in disbelief.
Staring at the now closed door, Izuku finally managed to say, “That was not what I meant.”  But he laughed again, helpless against the sudden hilarity that hit him.  “Hell, if I’d known I could get him to ask me out by giving him coffee, I’d have done it weeks ago.”
It was a slow day, so Izuku focused on starting to clean everything and prepare for close.  After all, apparently he had a date to be ready for.

Your Hero
He is one of my favorite characters in mha. I want to write a future version of Bakugou Katsuki, I hope you guys will like it. 😘
Part 2.
( Bakugou Katsuki X Y/N )
Tumblr media
Dynamight Agency——
Bakugou returned to the office and sat on the sofa to rest. He took out his phone to browse the news, the Internet was broadcasting four consecutive explosions. He read a paragraph that said that no one died, and this was the result he wanted.
There was a shot of you at the crime scene. He pressed the screenshot and enlarged your face. He is thinking that you are not a simple ordinary passer-by and can come up with a plan on the spot.
He looked at your photos and fell silent, and it is not certain whether he will see you in the future. While Bakugou was thinking, Todoroki walked into the office.
"Fuck! One or two, just come into my office! Make an appointment in advance! Half-and-half!" Bakugou looked at Todoroki.
"Are you busy?" Todoroki asked.
"What? Say directly!" Bakugou said.
"You didn't reply everyone's message. I just came to see you after finishing my work near your office. Kirishima asked if we would like to have a drink together?" Todoroki said.
"Tchhh! The old place?" Bakugou asked.
"Do you want a ride?" Todoroki showed the car key.
"Let's go!" Bakugou put on his coat and followed Todoroki to leave the office.
On the way--—
Bakugou continued to watch today's news on his phone. Although Villain has decreased, it can't be taken lightly. He clicked into the album to see the screenshot of you just now, and he sighed.
"It's rare that you sigh." Todoroki said.
"Shut up, half-and-half. I'm working." Bakugou said.
"Top hero, can't let go of work." Todoroki said.
"You so annoying!" Bakugou looked out the window.
After they arrived at their destination, they walked into the restaurant. Kaminari, Midoriya and Kirishima were greeting them. After they sat down, they ordered wines and chatted.
"Bakugou, I saw the news and it turned out to be four bombings!" Kaminari said.
"Man! Bakugou! Horrifying!" Kirishima patted Bakugou on the shoulder.
"I didn't expect that even Wind Breaker would come to the rescue!" Midoriya said.
"What Wind Breaker?" Todoroki asked.
"What are you talking about, Damn Nerd?" Bakugou wondered.
Midoriya plays the video, then presses the pause button to zoom in and points at you. Bakugou is puzzled, Midoriya searching for your Hero Name on phone. He showed everyone the information. Bakugou saw you wearing a hero's suit.
"Wind Breaker was a student from UA. She went to the United States to study a few years ago. She got a hero license from there and is a very famous hero. Seeing her today means that she has returned." Midoriya gushed.
"There is actually a beautiful woman here!" Kaminari came over to take a look.
"Hey! Damn Nerd! She's a hero?!" Bakugou asked.
"Eh eh eh?! That's right!" Midoriya was nervous.
"Seems to be a powerful person!" Kirishima said.
"Bakugou, you didn't notice her." Todoroki was confused.
Bakugou looks through your information and reads each of your interviews. Just as he thought, your ability is really not that of an ordinary person. You saved flood victims and won the Young Hero Award.
"I'd like to get an autograph from her if we have the chance to meet!" Midoriya said excitedly.
"We are all the same professional heroes, we will meet each other." Todoroki said.
"I also want to meet her in person! She's so beautiful!" Kaminari said excitedly.
"I want to challenge her to a duel! Right! Bakugou!" Kirishima said passionately.
Bakugou remained silent, took a sip of wine and continued reading your news. Didn't expect you to be a professional hero. Wearing a light blue hero uniform is your characteristic. Once worked in a certain firm, and now may want to continue after returning to Japan.
After the waiter served the food, everyone put down their phones and started eating. Bakugou turned on the live news broadcast and turned down the volume while listening to the content to obtain information. This is Bakugou's working habit, so as not to miss any news.
"Dynamight~ It's time to put down work now for dinner." Kaminari took a sip of wine.
"Shut up, Dunce Face!" Bakugou spat.
"Kacchan is awesome!" Midoriya admired.
"Tchhh!" Bakugou gulped.
You searched for delicious restaurants nearby on the Internet and just mentioned the restaurant where Bakugou and his friends gathering. You stand at the door of the restaurant and smell a good smell. You open the door and walk in. The waiter noticed you immediately came to serve you, and he took you to your seat.
The waiter arrange to let you in the seat of behind them, The waiter handed you the menu and left, you began to look through the menu. Midoriya looked up and saw you sitting in the back. You smiled at him and continued to look down at the menu.
Midoriya immediately picked up his phone and looked at your face compared it with the picture of Wind Breaker. It's really you! He excitedly took out his notebook and pen stood up and walked to your side.
"Hehehehhello there! Wind Breaker!" Midoriya said nervously.
"Oh Hello~Deku." You responded to his greeting.
"You know me!?" Midoriya was surprised.
"We are Top Hero, can I not know? What's wrong?" You asked him.
"Please please please..." Midoriya held the notebook tightly.
"Please?" You wondered. In your impression, Deku was a very cheerful hero.
"Please give me your signature!" Midoriya bowed at 90 degrees and handed you the notebook and pen.
"Wow..." You took the notebook and pen.
"I've admired you for a long time! I didn't expect to meet you by chance. It's an honor for me!" Midoriya said shyly.
"Oi, Midoriya...what are you doing?" Kaminari saw you behind.
"Eh? Aren't you Chargebolt? Hello!" You greeted.
"Holy beauty! Bakugou! Look!" Kaminari was surprised.
"What the hell!" Bakugou raised his head and looked at you.
Once you meet Bakugou, he is the hero of the morning. You thought would never see him again, but you didn't expect to meet him so soon.
"What are you guys arguing about?" Todoroki came over with a drink.
"It's Wind Breaker! It's her!" Kirishima said excitedly.
"Hello, Red Riot, Shoto and ….Hedgehog..." You greeted the three of them.
"Hedgehog?" Todoroki looked at Bakugou.
"What the hell! Half-and-half!" Bakugou yelled at Todoroki.
"Umm, Deku, what do you want me to sign?" You asked with a smile.
"Umm! Anything is fine! It's no problem!" Midoriya stiffened.
"Midoriya still gets stiff as usual when seeing girls..." Kirishima said.
You sign Deku's notebook, write
"To: Deku Hero.
You are the best!
By: Wind Breaker :) "
You handed the notebook and pen back to him, he opened it and was surprised! It's your signature and handwriting! He bows to you continuously at 90 degrees to express his gratitude. You quickly stood up and stopped him, which made you very embarrassed.
Bakugou stood up and walked to your seat, Midoriya took two steps back. You waved to Bakugou, he seemed understand what you meant. He stared at you, but you still smiled at him.
"Name…" Bakugou asked.
"Hedgehog~want to know someone's name. To be polite, you should say it first." You said with a smile.
"Tchhh, woman." Bakugou is not happy.
Kirishima noticed that something was wrong, he quickly got up and pulled away Bakugou. You are surprised that someone can pull Bakugou...
"Sorry, Wind Breaker! Although this guy is irritable, he is still a good person. Kirishima explained.
"Fuck, what are you talking about! Dumb Hair!" Bakugou shouted.
"It's worthy of Dynamight's best friend, Red Riot!" Kaminari laughs.
"Have a good dinner." Todoroki and Midoriya nodded to you and returned to their seats.
You see that Dynamight seems to have a small argument with Red Riot. You noticed that Dynamight's face was so distorted that you couldn't help covering your mouth and laughing. His face feels so funny that you wants to pinch it. You think so.
The waiter put the dinner in front of you, you smile to express your gratitude. Dynamight stopped and seemed to say something to the waiter. The waiter nodded to understand and left. You didn't think much about it then start to pick up the cutlery and start enjoying it.
The waiter handed over a glass of red wine and a note, but you didn't order a drink. The waiter whispered that Dynamight bought you a drink. You suddenly understood why he called the waiter just now. When you pick up the note and see the content, the corners of your mouth are raised. His name is Bakugou Katsuki.
He is looking at you, you raise the red wine to cheers and he reply to you. You pay for it carefully. It's a delicious wine. It seems that Dynamight is a person who can taste wine.
"Wind Breaker, which firm do you work for?" Midoriya asked.
"I just returned so haven't decided yet, but I received a recommendation letter from UA. Do you have any recommendations?" You asked him.
"How about Dynamight Agency?! He always works alone, now there is a vacancy! Right! The salary is high, but the boss is grumpy." Kaminari said with a smile.
"Don't make your own decisions!" Bakugou yelled.
"You can consider my firm, welcome." Todoroki handed you his business card.
"Hey, hey, Todoroki wants to win over people." Kirishima said with a smile.
"Thank you, I will consider it." You replied with a smile.
After you finish your dinner, you get up and walk to the front desk to pay. The waiter tells you that someone has already paid for you, you probably guess who it is. You walked back to Deku's seat and stood next to Dynamight.
"What for? Woman." Dynamight said.
"Hey! Bakugou! This is very rude to girls!" Kaminari tried to stop him.
"Shut up! Sparky!" Bakugou complained.
"Bakugou..." you whispered.
It was the first time he heard you call him a name other than hedgehog, he happily lowered his head to taste the wine. He didn't respond to you, you couldn't see his expression because he lowered his head and his bangs covered his eyes.
You left with a resigned sigh, for some reason he felt a little frustrated that you weren't next to him. Who can't hear your voice, can't see you, doesn't make trouble around him like you did when first met. He continued to drink his wine, sort of letting off steam.
"Kacchan, what are you doing?" Midoriya asked.
"Shut your mouth, Damn Nerd!" Bakugou took a sip of wine.
"Someone is scaring away beauties. Bakugou has a handsome face and is a Top Hero but a waste." Kaminari complained.
"But Bakugou is famous for his temper." Todoroki said.
"Are you praising him?" Kirishima laughed.
Although you were a little angry at his irresponsible attitude, but you found it very interesting. You asked the waiter for a piece of paper and pen, you wrote down your full name and contact ID, you took the paper and walked back to him.
"Wind Breaker! Haven't you left yet?" Midoriya asked.
"I'm looking for this arrogant guy." You point to Bakugou.
"Say it again if you have the guts! Woman!" Bakugou got up and stared at you.
"It's finally up to me... Hedgehog. You said with a smile.
You put the note in the pocket of his coat, then say goodbye to everyone here to leave the restaurant alone. He took out the note from his pocket and looked at it with your name and contact ID. So this is your name, a beautiful name.
You also drew an angry hedgehog in the corner of the note, as if to describe him. He put away the note and immediately ran out to chase you, hoping that you were still nearby.
"Kacchan?!" Midoriya wondered.
He looked around outside the restaurant and saw no sign of you.
"Tchhh" Bakugou stamped his foot.
"Looking for me? Hedgehog." You poked his shoulder.
"Still called a hedgehog, why don't you behave well! Woman!" Bakugou looked at you and said.
"Who told you to grow your hair like that? It reminds me of a hedgehog." You said with a smile.
"Tchhh! My name is Dynamight! My name is Bakugou Katsuki! Remember it for me!" He said.
"Okay, Hedgehog, I remember. I'll go back first. Bye." You turned around and were about to leave.
"Hey! Y/N!" Bakugou shouted.
You stopped and turned your head to look at him in surprise. The first time you heard him call your name! You feel very happy, although it's a little embarrassing. You don't know how to respond to him, but you still smile at him politely.
He approached you and took out his phone and the note, as if he was typing some information.
"Look at phone." Bakugou said.
"Ha?" You took out your mobile phone doubtfully.
You took out your mobile phone and saw an unread message saying " Hi " . You click in see that there is a strange ID avatar with the word D.
"Hedgehog... Is this you?" Look at him.
"Tchhh, who do you think?" He looked to the other side.
"Wow... Nice to meet you." You said with a smile.
"Won't you reply to me?" Bakugou whispered.
He stood in front of you just wait for your reply. You covered your mouth and wanted to laugh. But if you laugh, he will chase you and scold you. After you change his ID name to Hedgehog🦔, you’re thinking how to reply him.
What do you want to reply to? You type it in front of him. He looked at the other side waiting for your reply, but he still glanced at you a little. His phone screen lit up, and saw your reply. He clicked in seemed to be looking forward to your reply.
"Hello, stupid hedgehog 🤪." He read your reply and stared at you.
"Hahahaha! Sorry! It's so sudden and I don't know how to reply to you! Don't scold me!" You laughed and said.
"Fk you!" The corners of his mouth rose slightly.
"I'll go back first and contact you later. Goodbye, Hedgehog. " You say goodbye to him.
"Tchh... Let me know when you get home." He looked at you and said.
"I know, stop worry about it." You turn around and leave.
He stood outside the restaurant and seed you leave then returned to the restaurant. He went back to his seat and took out his phone changed your ID name to Wind🌪️.
"Bakugou... It's the first time I've seen you so active. " Kaminari said with a laugh.
"It's worthy of being a man Bakugou!" Kirishima said passionately.
"So? Did you two quarrel? Todoroki is puzzled.
"Kacchan! Can't quarrel!" Midoriya is nervous.
"Shut up! Eat your food!" Bakugou roar.
After a while, he received a message.
The message show "I'm home, hedgehog. Have a nice party 😝."
He replied 👌🏻 and continued enjoying his dinner.
It was already 9 o'clock when the party ended, and everyone stood at the door of the restaurant ready to say goodbye.
"Want me to drive you back ?" Todoroki asked.
"No, I'm leaving first." Bakugou jogged away.
"He's so busy," Kaminari said.
"It's Kacchan's habit." Midoriya said.
"Man!" Kirishima shouted.
He spends his remaining free time exercising every day to keep himself in top shape and physical condition. Watch the news at any time to understand the situation in the city, just to prevent from neglecting any situations that may happen.
He has developed these habits since becoming Top Hero. Although the city is currently in no danger, he still maintains a state of readiness and stable work efficiency.
He received a message on the phone, he stopped and took a deep breath. It's your message and he clicked in to see what it was.
You sent him a picture of a hedgehog, said, "It looks like you!" 😝”.
"Fuck..." Bakugou smiled.
He replied, "So ugly. My appearance is much better than 🦔."
His reply makes you laugh. You don't know what to reply, so just put your phone aside.
You walk into the room and take a formal suit from the wardrobe. You open the drawer and take out the UA recommendation letter. Tomorrow is the day you go back to your alma mater. You are nervous and excited.
Part 2 end.
*If you have any ideas, you can leave them in the comment section, and I will try to add in the story.*
