Lemon and Dill Fish Fillet

The aoli is lighter to accomodate the usage of dill, lemon, and pepper. I roasted garlic and mashed it before I folded it in. The tilapia was marinated with the lemon rinds and more pepper. It all is laid on top of a sourdough toast from #boudinbakery .

It's a bit put of season (very out of season), but I think it's a nice and simple dish after a long day.

We drove out to San Francisco yesterday as a family and viewed the Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses at the Davies Symphony Hall.

 First we stopped at Boudin Bakery at Fisherman’s Wharf where we had a late lunch/early dinner. This is one of Zebulon’s favorite restaurants and has raved over their Clam Chowder Sour Dough bread bowls since we’ve met. The bakery/restaurant/shop was so quaint and lovely. They baked their bread fresh right there; even having specialized breads in the forms of bears and alligators and seasonal special like hearts for February or snowmen for December. We sat outside and ate, Zeb dining on his bread bowl, our son grabbed two sourdough pepperoni pizzas and was I very satisfied with my chicken pesto on sourdough. It was so warm and fresh... I love sourdough bread SO MUCH and Boudin’s honestly has to be my favorite. <3 We even purchased some bread to take home, and will be having some more tonight with our homemade spaghetti dinner. :) 

After we ate, we walked over to an old, old arcade. It was full of machines that dated back to the 1850′s, and maybe even sooner than. Old .... you’d pay pennies to watch flappers dance, arcade games from the 80s and 90s such as Centipede to Tekken 3. Pin ball machines, so many old fortune teller machines, love testers and more. It was so amazing to see all of these machines still functioning as they were so many years ago. To be standing within a hall of history. 

Soon after we were at the symphony hall for the concert. It was beautifully adorned, and so many people were their clad in Legend of Zelda shirts, even cosplayers dressed as Link and Zelda; there was even Skull Kid and the moon from Ocarina of Time. My favorite though was the person who had dressed as Kass and playing his ballad outside of the hall. 

We went in and I had a glass of sparkling champagne before we seated and soon the show began. I cried. I was so overwhelmed with emotion and how much beauty this game series has given so many of us over the past thirty years. Even the producers and creators of The Legend of Zelda series made a presence on the big screen; knowing that Nintendo backs this symphony with their full support is so much for words. 

Everyone applauding and cheering after each segment, everyone having their own personal favorites from each game of the series. There was Breath of the Wild, A Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time, Link’s Awakening, A Link Between Worlds, Wind Waker, Skyward Sword, and Twilight Princess. I was so enthralled and overjoyed with so many emotions.

Being able to re experience the beauty and emotional power that the music from The Legend of Zelda series brings us last night was phenomenal❤️ Since 1986 Nintendo has paired Link and his adventures in Hyrule with the most beautiful and iconic musical ballads known today. I am so elated to have had this experience and to have been able to share it with my family. Thank you Nintendo and for the symphonic orchestra for letting me relive those moments as the Knight of Hyrule.
