Why are there still people wondering why Israel and Australia are participating in the Eurovision Song Contest?

We've been over this time and time again.

Israel is part of the European Broadcasting Area. So is every single country on Western Asia and Northern Africa that borders the Mediterranean.

Each of the 54 countries you see marked as "Current" EBU members on the map can participate in Eurovision (Belarus and Russia have been put in the naughty corner. Belarus' suspension actually expires next year, but something tells me they won't return soon), with Tunisia and Lebanon actually getting pretty close (1977 for Tunisia and 2005 for Lebanon) but eventually withdrawing because of Israel. Lebanon had even submitted a song, Quand tout s'enfuit by Aline Lahoud. Though I'm assuming even if Israel wasn't an issue the gays might eventually scare them away, like they did with Turkey and Hungary (allegedly)

Morocco has participated too, in 1980. Israel was absent that year so there weren't any issues there, but they came second to last with Bitaqat Hub by Samira Bensaïd, so they vowed to never return forever and ever.

Australia gets a special pass because their broadcaster had been an associate member for over 30 years by the time of their 2015 debut. The 2015 contest in Vienna marked the Contest's 60th anniversary so they initially allowed Australia to join as a one time thing, they were even automatic qualifiers to the final for that reason, but because they did really well they kept inviting them every year after. In 2019 they drafted a contract that would allow them to keep participating up until this year. Obviously, they'll most likely return next year too so I guess they're renewing that contract.

Kazakhstan is in a similar situation. Although they have a part of their territory in Europe, they are not active EBU members but only associates, like Australia. They have still been allowed to participate in the Junior version, regularly, and there have been talks about allowing them in the actual contest but this has not materialised yet.

Grey Jedi and Mandalorians. She's wrong about both

To start off, I am what Lily would describe as a Star Wars weeb. I live, breathe, and shit star wars.

First things first, Gray jedi is not a thing in canon. I'm sorry, everyone who wanted it to be canon it's just not. Ahsoka isn't a gray Jedi and none of the other morally gray characters that can use the force, and it's not because of what Lily thinks. simply put, no mortal force user can be in the middle. Now, you can have force users that don't aline themselves with the jedi or the sith, but that doesn’t make them a Gray jedi. If you're a jedi, you use the light side. That's why you're a jedi, and if you're a sith, you use the dark. That's why you're a sith.

Now that that's out of the way... Lily doesn't know how the Jedi and the Sith work or why people actually want a gray Jedi. She chalks people wanting a gray Jedi as people who can't make a choice because they are scared of that, not because maybe they want a force user that uses both sith techniques and jedi techniques. She brings up the jedi and sith code

She describes the Jedi code as "living without based passion," which isn't the same as just having no attachments. The jedi is loosely based on Buddhist priests who have no earthly attachments, so they can focus on their own self and inner peace and describes the Sith code as something they came up with to spit on the Jedi code and that the "passion they have is was is what's worth living and that living is the nature of the force" and how the sith code is asking why a Jedi wants to be an "empty husk of a person" which it isn't. Much like how the Jedi aren't perfect all the time... the sith still aren't the good guys. The only way you can use sith techniques is to let your anger and other negative feelings run through you. To use your anger to fan the flame where as the Jedi believes that the anger can drown you in sorrow and make you do things you wouldn't.

In Star Wars rebels season three, you watch Ezra struggle with the dark side after everything that happened on Malachor. You watched him become almost a completely different person, how he no longer saw his friends and family as equals but possessions. You saw how he was quickly to anger, and you can see the looks on the crews face when they can tell he's in a bad mood he was spiraling in his guilt for Ahsoka's "death" and getting Kanan blinded by maul. Everyone could tell he wasn't dealing with his trauma in a healthy way. Something lily needs to understand about the Sith is that they are all traumatized for one reason or another, i.e. it's considered taboo for a sith to pick up a young child. The sith believes you have to experience pain in order to open yourself up to the dark side.

The Jedi learns to let go of the past to move forward where the Sith cling onto the hate and lose themselves to it.

Mandalorian time, next to the mortis gods (the ones), the Mandalorians are my favorite group

The Mandalorians are like the real world Spartans (my siblings call them space spartans) fighting and survival of the fitteat teaching their children at young ages to protect themselves and others that can keep up that doesn’t mean they will watch you die well for some anyway. Mandalore is a bit more like earth as it has many clans, with some getting long with each other and others not so much.

She does have a point in that Mandalorians are toxic masculinity except for the fact that their are women Mandalorians and not all the Mandalorians think the same way hell the Mandalorians themselves talk about how much their own war mindset is destroying their planet death watch are considered traitors.

Something I thought was pretty interesting was how she made fun of people who say that Mandalorians can go toe to toe with the jedi... which is a true thing? The jedi and the Mandalorians don't get along all that much because of philosophy and other things. Mandalorian armor is made out of a metal that can't be melted by a lightsaber they made an energy whip to grab like the jedi when they use the force, and my favorite fact that the Mandalorians made guns called slugthrowers which as basically pistols that fire bullets making it impossible for Jedi to defect them

She also brings up dutchess Satine as the "only person that doesn't want the constant war" and how she was killed only for Obi Wan's characters' development and completely ignoring Bo-Katan's. Yeah, she died in Obi Wan's arms, but that didn't really develop his character. If anything, Bo-Katan had much more of an impact as she left Death Watch, the main group that was responsible for her sisters death and even helped get maul the man that killed her sister dethroned the jedi didn't save the Mandalorians they helped them.

At the end of her video, she goes on about how people who like the like the Mandalorians are plugging our ears and going lalalala at her claims, which are fair fan boys in Star Wars are one of the most toxic people you'll find. For Mother's Day, I made a tiktok saying which woman in Star Wars would be a good mother and had one guy telling me to go back to the kitchen (little shameless sharing of my own content don't mind me)

but what killed me was the fact that she fully blames the Jedi for making the clones. Which just isn't true. The clones were a trap set by Darth sidious and count dokku they were made with Jango fett's DNA with his consistency, and he got his own kid out of it. For the most part, the clones were treated with respect from the Jedi plo Koon treating them like battle brothers Anakin treating them like the people they are. Aayla even developed feelings for her commander, Bly. The sith made them kill the jedi when the time was right.

Something that needs to be said is that the Jedi didn't want the war they didn’t want to fight. No one except the sith and corrupted officials wanted the war because of how big it would be, and even more so, no one liked the idea of the clones everyone saw it as a slave army, which only fueled the Confederacy not liking the republic.

If Lily was a Star Wars character, she would have bought all the propaganda about the Jedi being blood thirsty and needed Order 66 to happen. she'd be on the empire side and call the rebel alliance a group of terrorists. Yes, the clones are slaves but they aren't the Jedi's slaves they're the siths Slaves.

Like I said before, at the beginning, I am a big fan of Star Wars, and for the most part of the video, she has some good points I just really wished she'd understand that the Sith aren't good people the Sith are fueled with revenge they use and manipulate the people around them for their own benefit yes the Jedi were corrupt, yes the Jedi aren't good people either. Get the sith off that pedestal. Yes, the Mandalorians aren't the galaxies' strongest species, and yes, the Mandalorians are the physical embodiment of toxic masculinity, but that doesn’t mean the Mandalorians are something that needs to die out.

hi all! i'm here again to talk about webtoons i've been enjoying. i don't fastpass through chapters at the moment, so any chapter i talk about is the latest non-fastpass release (as of August 11, 2024 when i'm writing this). however if you are not caught up with any of these stories, there may be spoilers in my updates, so please tread carefully.

Muse on Fame - i'm still going strong with this one! it's such a powerful (and mostly tragic) story, and i'm really curious to see where it's going next. it never fails to shock me! i'm hoping manager eun has some sort of redemption arc and that things somehow work out for Myeong. i just want the girl to have some happiness omg.

Re: Trailer Trash - as always i am wondering how the reincarnation/time travel aspect of this story will work out, but in the meantime i am enjoying the progress of the protagonist's growth as she makes friends and helps create better relationships with those around her. i'm scared for her to go to this party though lol. please let someone step in before she gets injured again!

The Age of Arrogance - i live for new chapters of this webtoon. the main characters are so silly (admit you like each other already!!) but i love them for it. the political intrigue aspects of the story are actually well-written and enjoyable. i'm also excited that Dorothea is getting some spotlight in these new chapters. Pervaz is the perfect place for her to finally live an independent lifestyle (once her dad goes back to the main kingdom lol) and i love that she's being paired with Decker now. it's a fun side-story.

Mono and Mochi - this webtoon is so cute. the little glimpses into life with a cat always brighten my day. it's simple and i love it!

Nina Lives Alone - this is another simple but lovely comic, and i've actually learned a few really helpful life hacks from it. i love learning what Nina's up to and the occasional twists in her stories make me laugh. it sounds like the author got a deal as a Webtoon Original recently. i'm not totally sure what that entails/if the comic will be moving to another section of the app or something but i'm happy for them!! it's a great comic.

The Mafia Nanny - this webtoon was on hiatus for a bit. i'm happy to see it back! i totally called Gabriel's plan for Mikey, and i am very pleased that Davina is calling him out on it. Mikey is the best character, and i'm hoping/looking forward to him having a more normal childhood and making real friends. i'm also super curious to know what actually happened to Gabriel's wife and what that relationship was like... does Gabriel seems to be moving on uncomfortably fast or is that just me lol. i feel like there's more to that part of the story and i hope we get to learn about it soon.

Candid Hearts - i don't think i've talked about this one yet. i was stoked to find a webtoon in a college setting, and i've been having fun with it. i can't wait for the main girls to become best friends and for Aline to ditch that rich boy lol. Bonnie is cute but i find her character a little hard to believe sometimes as she's muttering to herself in public and stuff. she is cute and innocent though! i ship her with the sharktooth boy of course (i forget his name lmao). Katya is a bit of a mystery still, and i'm really excited to see where her story goes. i noticed that the maker of Candid Hearts has a previous webtoon that features the parents (i think) of some of these characters. i may have to check it out!! i'm looking forward to knowing more about them.

Gordy the chimpanzee scene is #1. I know I walked out on the alien eating a buffet of people but I have to admit, Gordy wins. The chimpanzee scene is the most horrifying thing and that's because it's something that happens in real life and has happened many times. People keep trying to tame wild animals for entertainment or as pets. It's not worth it!!! Lions will bite, monkeys, chimpanzees, any animal that is suppose to be wild will attack one day. They don't care if you're famous or if your rich, they'll do what they want. And that scene portrayed it all wonderfully. The blood, the screaming, the moans of pain. The way everything is empty and you just hear balloons popping, each pop irritating the chimpanzee more. And once the balloons stop popping, you notice Gordan cakms down. He's looking around confused before seeing Jupe. The animal doesn't know what he did, he just got set off from the popping. Then he sees the one person he regonizes that's still alive. And he goes in for a friendly gesture. Whether is be because Jupe didn't look at Gordy in the eyes, Gordy snapped back to his domestic nature or both. It's tragic to see Gordy get shot at the end. He was just an innocent animal that followed his animalistic instincts, it's natural. And then we have the floating shoe. From what I heard, there's a saying "Waiting for the other shoe to fall." Meaning, "To await a seemingly inevitable event, especially one that is not desirable." This foreshadows Jupes death from his actions. He didn't learn from this event, instead he copied it. He tried to tame another animal only to die.

Another scene that I think was scary. The blood house. Second scariest part of the film. I loved it, the cinematography was so well done. All the charaters were trying to take in the new information that this alien ship is in fact the alien itself. But they don't have the time to take it in, they hear the screaming of people outside their window at night. They look out and see the alien flying near by. I laughed when OJ went back in his car though. 🤣 Nope! But what was even better was when the screaming suddenly stopped only to be followed by blood rain. I adore creative scenes like this! Takes a lot of talent to make these unique moments. Why is this my 2nd scariest scene and not the alien eating the people.

Look, I may be disgusted by that stuff, I may avoid it like the plague, but that doesn't make it the scariest. It doesn't have that realism/true events like the Gordy scene. And there's many scene's like this in horror films. Characters getting eaten and gore. The blood rain was creative and gave chills!!! With a moment of humor. And the barn scene with Jupes kids was slow and suspenseful. Yes, I put the barn scene at the same level as the eating scene. The reason why I consider the barn scene scary is because the pay off. It was an illusion. There was never any small people from outer space. It was all an illusion. It was a play on the cliché alines in a barn trope. And the humor when OJ punches a kid is hilarious. The eating scene is also a cliché I've seen again and again but this one was no different than those scenes. So yeah, being a trope that's been done before loses it's scare factor for me. I'm still disgusted by it and won't watch it for now, but I know I'll eventually get use to that scene and I'll watch it without a problem one day.

This doesn't mean the eating scene isn't scary. Claustrophobic people will have a heart attack with it. I almost did and I ran for my life and didn't see it. And it's still horrifying, just not the scariest.......... that can also be because my brother ruined the scare factor for me.

The fact is that changing the color of the character's skin does not add more representation. 👉The author creates a white character, this character has a white name, white people problems, white background.👈 This character has nothing to do with poc culture/life. Even if you didn't know the color of their skin, you could still say that they are white. Because this is how the character is written, they're white-coded.

And then BOOM and the author changes the color of the character's skin so that the fandom stops raging because of the lack of poc characters. But nothing has really changed, right? They didn't change the character, they didn't even try. The author doesn’t want to try to create an interesting poc representation nonono. Why if we can cast black/brown girl as some Molly Peters? NoW wE hAvE rEpResEnTatIoN so clap clap clap that's what you asked for yeah?

Eda's reckless behaviour and overall mental health

Summary

Eda is a genius, but is very emotional when making decisions (not anger, but fear, stress ect.)

Her reckless behaviour and apple blood problem in my opinion are her ways of running from reality.

In season 1 she made a bit of progress on this issue. Then the finale happened. Then she made again progress and s2ep7 did a complete reset. And she is making progress now again.

Eda's intelligence

She's been a criminal for thirty years. She has been in the shady business for an extremely long time. Yes magic definitely helps but you also have to find a way to be on top of the game, so you can survive.

Remember Tibbles' shrinking potion. She can't really use a lot of magic if she is shrinked or poisoned and dead, can she? Not to talk about her enemies which you'd think would attack her now that she is magicless.

They haven't on screen, yet. The only ones that tried are Adegast and Tibbles and they both died without her using any magic (or close to nothing).

Now we know that she doesn't make plans a lot on screen. In s2ep3 especially she just let's Luz make the plan but that's because she is her mentor.

In s2ep6 Luz used sleeping needles which is wild magic so no, it's not knowledge coming from Hexside. Also the pickpocketing Luz mentioned.

Teachers don't do the tests instead of students.

She teaches her everything that isn't glyphs. I wouldn't be surprised if she has told stories to Luz about her best "outsmarting everyone in the room" moments.

Now we have seen some of her problem solving on screen. One of which was in ep.18 fight only using her channelled magic trough the staff (im not taking credit for noticing this, have no idea who did though) and used the bridge.

Also if she can telepathically talk to her staff. Owlbert saving Luz was probably her idea.

She had her impact on Raine's rebellion as well, without having magic or turning into a harpy.

"Wow, we actually helped people this time!"

"Bye, mommy Eda!"

In the back of her head she knows exactly what to do, everytime something happens.

Eda's mental health

Eda's curse and the nightmares it causes. The father incident. The fact that she probably thought Lilith was scared of her.

Lilith's hidden guilt and her taking her father's eye out don't mix well together. I wouldn't be surprised if they barely spoke even if they lived in a house together.

Her losing Raine.

Her faith in the emporer being broken.

She has seen a lot of death, that does impact people.

Season 1

At the beginning of the series she was making a lot of bad choices which don't aline with her experience.

The series starts with her getting caught by Warden Wrath. Instead of just sneaking, they were just walking comfortably in the corridors.

They are kids, one from another dimension, but her... She doesn't know better? And for a paper crown that she can replace by stealing from someone else.

Next episode we are introduced to her morning drink later on confirmed to be for adults only. And that drink didn't get a mention for the rest of the season. In that episode she is also not the most clear-headed. She didn't try to sneak, she didn't use potions. Didn't try to plan.

A list about her being impatient can go on and on.

So when does she think. When she realises it's dangerous (aka when it's right in her face). Literally in the first episode the moment she started doing stuff is when she got caught and spat on the warden's face.

In episode 2 she didn't do that because she didn't know if Luz was alive and had a hard time bottling her feelings. Like if Luz proved to him to be hard to keep tight up he could have killed her, the girl that came back for her and her son yesterday. And she proved to Eda that she is a little dangerous the previous episode with her fireworks.

Eda was rational again, after she was with both King and Luz.

As the series went on though she started to calm down a bit.

Firstly, the fact that she was so focused on fixing her card problem, after Tibbles scammed her, that she trew them away in another dimension.

I was wondering how she overcame it so quickly.

It also shows her knowledge of how to handle this type of problems which brings up a question. How did she learn it?

Secondly let's compare the first half of the season to the second.

1. Everything I already pointed out and was hiding the curse. The stuff that happened in ep.5. Her refusal to be parental in ep.7. Body swapped.

2. She gets scammed again (this time though, how do you expect that someone was digging their own grave). Didn't use a sleeping spell on the slitherbeast immediately instead was just standing there. Got caught by the fun police. Worsened King's stage fright.

In ep.15 because of her ignorance Luz and Amity almost die. Except that is not the full story. She had at this point a lot of faith in Luz and this was her friend's mind.

For Amity it's not that she hated her. Amity actually saved her in ep.12. It's because she wasn't that important for her to realise. "Omg Willow is at the very least extremely mad at her."

It's again a refusal to think, but for a stranger and not really on purpose. It was just a habit of hers.

Episode 18 and 19

At the beginning of the episode. Eda hid the curse, again.

When she learned that Lilith had kidnapped Luz. She didn't try to make a plan. She just revealed herself in all her glory while her magic was disappearing.

Shot the staff in a wall while she was having no idea, what that was supposed to accomplish.

Luz showed up and she finally started thinking.

Afterwards Lilith said we all know what and for the first time Eda's anger was the leader of her choices and Luz almost fell on to the spikes.

So then, for the very least a night, she was stuck in her mind with something, that was chasing her. She woke up to Emporer Baby the B*tch, who was telling her, he was about to go after Luz.

And no she didn't believe in Lilith, but was so overwhelmed. It was insane. So she begged. After some more running, she woke up to Luz in the Comformatoriam.

Next, she was about to get petrified and for awhile this was the calmest things have been since she got caught. Then Lilith shows up (ah yes she existed).

King jumped "She was trying to help!". Wait King was there.

Petrification beam go.

PURE PAIN!

Then she got the idea for all of them to fly away. Lilith shared the curse making the confusion even bigger. Then her magic is gone (that was a thing). She learned that the portal is destroyed. Now she was living with Lilith and might have starved to death with everyone else in the house.

After all of this she not only tried but HAD TO pretend that she was mentally stable, so they could survive this mess.

Season 2A

In episode 1 she told Luz not to go after big bounties and then tried to steal from a coven's ship.

At this point her emotions are the only thing that made decisions while they were also getting hidden. Don't get me wrong she did help and should, especially Luz but it's ALL feelings. She didn't think about consequences, which sometimes are good.

She didn't attack Lilith cause it's just not the time, she's scared from her own anger. Plus she can't really stand being with the roller coaster of emotions, that came with being in one room with her.

This didn't mean she didn't work with her and hadn't listened to the backstory, though.

The episode ends with her and everyone else not being close to dieing. Finally!

So now what? She tried to think about Lilith? Yeah, she probably preferred not to.

Then her glyph almost kills King, but Lilith showed up and helped. This is probably a familiarity she missed. So again she decided not to process it, but it definitely sticks.

She also didn't notice Luz being hurt.

Next episode, we saw Eda taking a shower which means she has healthy coping mechanisms, at least one, self-care and is not yet a workaholic.

Luz's apple blood joke is concerning.

After the events of episode 3. Luz probably told her that Lilith stayed with her and King, instead of just leaving them, get killed by Jean-Luc.

Then Eda still isn't certain where she stands about everything and Lilith just left, with her final act being, giving King mental issues.

Throughout this whole thing her mom was there with her cures/annual accidental attempt to kill her favourite daughter.

In this episode, Eda fell for apple blood signs. Rationality is out of the window.

In ep.6 she decided to help, with students getting palisman. Again not thinking about all the trauma, but finally doing something against her first instinct.

In ep.7 she heard King's "Le-" and refused to fully process, where the heck is he gonna go.

She also punched someone, cause this is gonna work?

Now she has reconnected with Raine having no idea should she even think of a romantic relationship again? And decided to be useful at least for something since she "can't raise kids".

She was helping and being very good at it, but it came from fear of loneliness.

Then she heard that Belos has a plan and just is overwhelmed. What if the kids get hurt, is she powerless?

Oh, look! Raine might be dead!

Next episode she overworked herself.

In between ep.8 and 9 she was trying to scare the beast into transforming. (She is losing her sanity. Literally the previous episode told her not to do that.)

In episode 9 again it's all emotional. She wants to feel better and be stronger, so she told King to blast her (almost blasting Amity), hit fool's blood even though Amity said the lake is further ahead.

Luckily she showed progress too.

She ate voles, which was against how she was feeling.

In ep.10 she was scared of letting Luz in the portal. I'm not saying she wouldn't have before, but I don't think it was easy.

Right now, after s2ep10, I think she isn't the most mentally stable. But she is definitely working on it.

last year i had seen most of the movies and it's so cool to watch award shows when you know about every movie, but this year i missed a lot of them and only watched the women directed ones so i was out of the loop for most wins, mostly for illusions perdues which won a bunch of categories but i still don't feel like watching it idk 😢 i had watched all the shorts but my favorite ones (des gens biens & le départ) didn't win, sobz. my fav animated short (le monde en soi) didn't win either but the actual winner (folie douce, folie dure) sounds dope, ngl. will watch it.

so happy that valerie lemercier got the best actress one tho, she's so funny she deserves it for her whole career,,, still gotta watch aline tho.

i'm also kind of disappointed la fracture didn't get many noms/wins because it was legit amazing and highlighted a huge systemic problem with french healthcare so idk if you'd relate as a foreigner but it's still a really powerful watch!! lots of anguish and despair, chef's kiss

on another note there's also a small polemic rn on filmtwt about the way the animated movie category got shortened and the winners' speeches were rushed by management, because the program was like 30 mins behind schedule. personally, that felt really wrong to me since animation already lacks room to exist in this ceremony and more generally it lacks recognition in french cinema. i just sat there trying to listen to the super important points the animators were trying to make while the crowd and host were ostentatiously annoyed at the speech being "too long"... it literally wasn't.

also disappointed for adam driver who came all the way here, sat through 3 hours of lame french jokes and didn't win anything 💀

there was a lot of positive things too tho, it was way less boring than other years, the sparks performed so may we start live (i sang my heard out ngl), omar sy was there and made people dance, xavier dolan read a tear-jerking homage letter to gaspard ulliel (dunno if you know who that is but he's an actor who recently died from an accident and it was so sudden and shocking coz he was only 37), cate blanchett's speech was admirable and she spoke french my love!! (even though she told people to shut the fuck up lmao that's going to be a meme on french twitter now)

the extra positive thing is that, despite getting many noms, bac nord didn't win anything, and that's great since neonazi scums reclaimed it almost immediately after it came out & the (white) director didn't want to clarify, nor admit his movie was political, nor acknowledge it had an obvious right-wing vibe about its depiction of poc and Paris' poor districts 🙄 i don't know if i'm gonna watch that one, regardless of the director's initial intentions, his reaction to justified criticism really bothers me, and so i'm glad it didn't win 'cause the nazis were like: >:(

anyway i think i'll add onoda, maalbeek, folie douce, folie dure, aline & le sommet des dieux to my watchlist. from the nominated movies i'd already seen, i'd recommend la fracture, the father (obvi) & annette (i hated most of the songs tho ksjksksksj). oh and also boîte noire was super cool and i love pierre niney!! Favorite scene

My favorite moment in RSoM, without a doubt, has to be Aline nervously professing her feelings and asking Helen out.

"You are the most beautiful person I've ever seen, Helen Blackthorn. And you fight like poetry. When you talked about your family, you made me want to cry. So let's get coffee, or dinner, or we could go on a weekend trip to Florence. Wait, no, or I could say something more suave and sophisticated than that. I'll read some romantic books and learn to phrase things better. I'm so sorry."

Considering in the past, we've only ever seen them as a strong and serious couple, they've always seemed comfortable with one another. Even when we see them in CoLS, they'd only been together a few weeks to a month and yet were completely at one.

And then of course there's married Heline in TDA: Aline being fiercely protective and confident enough in her relationship to scream and throw things at anyone who dares not respect and listen to her wife. Even if that's Helen's young siblings or a sickly Magnus.

I've found them to be an underrated yet beautiful ship for these reasons. Not to mention Helen's breakdown in Pale Kings and Princes in TftSA where she considered leaving Aline for her own good and Simon, who could barely remember Aline, reminded her that Aline would never let her leave if she tried.

So to see them here (or at least Aline) so unsure of themselves but attempting to explain this overwhelming feeling for one another (even though they just met and have done nothing but bicker) is adorable. Especially when Aline panics with:

"I messed it up. When did I mess it up?"

Because all she's trying to do is find the right words but she found too many and is worried she scared her off. And Helen knowing the only way to shut her up is to kiss her.

Even though they weren't secure in themselves or the relationship, they were positive this was something special. Such a pure moment deserves recognition (I'd draw it if I could), which is why it's my favorite scene.

Cosplay

I know we don't really see Izzy in the Red Scrolls of Magic, but I still consider her a character in the book as she often speaks with Alec. Plus she's one of my all time favorite characters so I will gladly take any opprotunity to put on my knee-high boots and gear jacket.

Prompto measures everything out and pours it in for you to stir it. (You’re doing it by hand since the mixer is broken) Halfway through, when the cookie dough is really starting to thicken up, you let Prompto take over.

After he finishes mixing it, you two start making the little dough balls that will eventually become cookies. You double-triple-check to make sure the oven is preheated, since you two forgot last time (it was)

You have to smack Prompto’s hand with a wooden spoon because he keeps eating the dough, which both reduces the number of cookies in the final product and may get him sick. He pouts at you, and you stop. You’re weak to the pout and probably always will be

You slide the first batch into the oven (and then glare at prompto when you see him trying to eat more cookie dough) and put the cookie dough in the fridge so it’s ready for batch number two. 

In between batches, Prompto flicks on the radio (which is already playing Christmas tunes even though it’s still November) and sings to you, pulling you close to dance you around the kitchen

He loves the way his goofiness makes you smile and your laugh is a sweeter symphony that even the best Christmas song couldn’t hold a candle to. He doesn’t have his camera on hand, but even if he did, he doesn’t need the film to immortalize this memory

Prompto suggests hot chocolate, and he loves the way your eyes light up when he pulls out your favorite topping.

While you’re preparing the hot chocolate, he holds you from behind, swaying in place and humming your favorite Christmas tune in your ear (for me personally, it’s Let It Snow)

You do up the hot chocolate just the way you like it, and it looks so photogenic that Prompto yearns to run off and grab his camera, but he doesn’t want to leave your side. We all know what he chooses in the end

You bring the two mugs over to the couch and Prompto gets the biggest, warmest blanket he can find and wraps it around the both of you. Now completely swaddled, you turn the TV on, but you keep the volume low as you and Prompto just talk and sip your hot chocolate together

He burns his tongue, sweet bab

By the time the first batch of cookies is done, the entire house smells like home-baked goods, which Prompto literally could not be happier about

You pull it out of the oven (Prompto says he’ll get the next batch, but he is so, so scared of burning himself) and set the cookies on a cooling rack. You load up the next batch and set your timer. 

You have to swat Prompto’s hand again when he reaches for a cookie. He’s already gotten burned once, you don’t need him burned again. He concedes this time, returning to the couch to cuddle and wait for the pastries to cool

They’re still a little warm by the time the second batch comes out, so you grab a few for you and him to share while he gets the current batch from the oven. He doesn’t burn himself, and he’s so relieved as he moves the fresh cookies onto the cooling rack.

You beckon him back to the couch, and he practically leaps back into your arms. You laugh and hand him a cookie, which he taps against yours with a bright little, “cheers!”

He’s literally only one bite into it, but it tastes so amazing that he has to tell you about it right now

He cups your face with one hand and holds the cookie in the other, and he presses cute little kisses all over your face. It makes you giggle, and smile and look absolutely radiant, so of course he keeps doing it until you can barely breathe from laughing so hard

“You are so amazing at baking.” He compliments you, taking another bite of his cookie.

“We are so amazing at baking,” you correct him, taking a bite of your own cookie and grinning at him. His heart melts like the chocolate chips in the cookie

You’ll definitely have to remember to ask Ignis for more recipehs in the future.

Alam mo ba, there's something with August 15 that I'm always scared of. Parang dati kasi nung hs pako, may nangyare ng August 15 (kung tama yung pagkakaalala ko ng date ah) kaya tuloy feeling ko laging may mangyayaring diko gusto ng araw na yun.
