I might be delusional and dreaming up a past that didn't exist but I swear there was a time not that long ago that when someone got a phone call on public transportation it was seen as the polite thing to answer it, see if it was important, then quietly say "Sorry I'm on the bus/train right now, I'll call you back in a bit" then hang up. And on trains people would move to the hallway area outside the seating compartments to talk on the phone so that they didn't disturb other passengers.

Now people have video calls on full volume on public transportation and it makes me feel like I'm going insane when I think that sort of thing used to be unacceptable.

In other news,

the ENTIRE FIRST ACT of accurate lyric videos for Paris the Musical is now DONE!

These lyric videos were made possible thanks to the efforts of @1000cavalry, @jaydenarsonew, @crystal-jack-asripines, and that one guy in Australia who sold the lyric booklet to me on eBay.

I'll take a short break from making these lyrics to sort some formatting issues so that future lyric videos run smoother on me personally. Thank you SO much for the support for what I've done so far! 🥰

Just a few other tidbits while I'm here:

After finishing Paris, I have a few other musicals/operettas I want to create lyric videos for, including "36 Questions" and "Amahl and the Night Visitors". If anyone here has suggestions for musicals that don't get a lot of visibility that you'd like for me to spotlight, I'd like to hear about it!

If you're into that sort of thing, I'm working on a Discord server (click there) where we can discuss Paris and hang out, maybe listen to a musical all together or something… I'm still figuring it out… i may or may not have a copy of the 2017 Melbourne performance and i've been dying to stream it or something

help i got cast in a play and one of the other actors said their favorite book is the silmarillion so i was like :o and later i showed him my silm tattoo and he freaked out..

and then we did an improv warmup game where in a group you had to cross to the other side of the room while pretending you’re in a blizzard. and i was in a group with him and said “it’s like crossing the helcaraxë” and he laughed and said “we’re killing feanor when we get across”

i’m just in shock bc in my 10+ years of silmarillion adoration i’ve never met another irl silm head in the wild 😭
