March 28, 2024 - Exhortation
"For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed." (Roman 8:19)
You were made for this time. God will open up doors for you that no man can close, and that you will realize His dreams, purposes, and calling in your life. You are the missing piece that this world needs -- never believe the lie that you are not. God had confounding plans for you.
Keep believing. Have faith and have courage. You were made to shine. You are not alone, and the best is yet to come! There is something new emerging. The breaking of an old mold is taking place. Like a caterpillar in a cocoon, it is not comfortable. You can't see what is out there. It feels dark. Something is happening inside you and around you that does not feel like anything you've ever felt.
New oil is being released and is about to fill your life. All that you have longed for is inside of you. Sounds, light, songs, fragrance, and freedom are about to come alive in you and all around you. You are here to usher in the GLORY of the LORD that has never been seen before!
"Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you.....the LORD rises upon you and His glory appears over you." (Isaiah 60:1-2)
"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go." (Joshua 1:9)

Recognition of Sin: Repentance begins with recognizing and acknowledging one's sins, shortcomings, and failures. It involves an honest assessment of one's actions and attitudes in light of God's standards and moral principles.
Remorse and Contrition: True repentance is accompanied by a sense of remorse or sorrow for one's sins. It involves feeling genuine regret and sorrow for the ways in which one has offended God or harmed others.
Confession: Repentance often involves confessing one's sins to God and, in some cases, to others who have been affected by those sins. Confession is an important aspect of repentance as it involves taking responsibility for one's actions and seeking forgiveness.
Turning Away from Sin: Repentance is more than just feeling sorry for one's sins; it also involves a deliberate decision to turn away from sinful behaviors and attitudes. It requires a commitment to change and a willingness to align one's life with God's will and moral standards.
Seeking Forgiveness: Repentance includes a desire for forgiveness and reconciliation with God. It involves seeking God's mercy and grace, trusting in His willingness to forgive and restore those who repent with sincere hearts.
Fruit of Repentance: True repentance is evidenced by a change in behavior and a transformation of the heart. It results in a renewed commitment to live according to God's commandments and to pursue righteousness, love, and justice in all areas of life.

So Pilate took Jesus and had him whipped. The soldiers, having braided a crown from thorns, set it on his head, threw a purple robe over him, and approached him with, “Hail, King of the Jews!” Then they greeted him with slaps in the face.
Pilate went back out again and said to them, “I present him to you, but I want you to know that I do not find him guilty of any crime.” Just then Jesus came out wearing the thorn crown and purple robe.
Pilate announced, “Here he is: the Man.”
When the high priests and police saw him, they shouted in a frenzy, “Crucify! Crucify!”
Pilate told them, “You take him. You crucify him. I find nothing wrong with him.”
The Jews answered, “We have a law, and by that law he must die because he claimed to be the Son of God.”
When Pilate heard this, he became even more scared. He went back into the palace and said to Jesus, “Where did you come from?”
Jesus gave no answer.
Pilate said, “You won’t talk? Don’t you know that I have the authority to pardon you, and the authority to—crucify you?”
Jesus said, “You haven’t a shred of authority over me except what has been given you from heaven. That’s why the one who betrayed me to you has committed a far greater fault.”
At this, Pilate tried his best to pardon him, but the Jews shouted him down: “If you pardon this man, you’re no friend of Caesar’s. Anyone setting himself up as ‘king’ defies Caesar.”
When Pilate heard those words, he led Jesus outside. He sat down at the judgment seat in the area designated Stone Court (in Hebrew, Gabbatha). It was the preparation day for Passover. The hour was noon. Pilate said to the Jews, “Here is your king.”
They shouted back, “Kill him! Kill him! Crucify him!”
Pilate said, “I am to crucify your king?”
The high priests answered, “We have no king except Caesar.”
Pilate caved in to their demand. He turned him over to be crucified.
They took Jesus away. Carrying his cross, Jesus went out to the place called Skull Hill (the name in Hebrew is Golgotha), where they crucified him, and with him two others, one on each side, Jesus in the middle.

ENEMY LOVE?
How are Christians to relate to an increasingly hostile and alien culture? Do we respond in kind, fighting for the values we hold dear, or does Christ call us to a better, more productive way?
How are Christians to relate to an increasingly hostile and alien culture?
Just as I presented some historical context, let’s broaden our view a bit to gain some important Biblical context. Up above, we saw through the example of the Old Testament, that despite being God’s chosen people, there were times when Israel disobeyed and in turn suffered calamity and banishment under the just judgment…

What Your Cross Can Look Like
Back at it again with another One Piece post. Got a little deeper in this one, so keep reading to see how this relates to carrying your cross.
Okay so this also isn’t the post I thought I’d type this week (I will get back around to finishing that other Hunchback of Notre Dame post), but, here I am, typing it. Oh and it’s another One Piece post; I’m sure you’re all completely shocked that I’m still writing for it.
So context: there are different races in One Piece, but today I’ll be focusing on the fish-men and humans. The fish-men are,…

September 6, 2024 - Exhortation
"Feed My Sheep." - John 21:17
If you love my Lord you have to FEED HIS SHEEP. There is no relief and no release from this commission.
The Lord is stirring you up and filling you with a deeper passion than you have ever known. In His presence you become the radiant Bride that shines with the very glory of God.
As the Lord reveals His CALLING on your life and its impact on others in the world -- by faith in His Word and empowerment within the inner man you live in a place of Power and Strength. You are the visible image of an invisible God. Because His image is on you -- your life belongs to Him.
You will not be intimidated while carrying the light and power of truth—breaking the people of God out of old patterns to move forward into the great possibilities of the day. Challenge, convict, and put a demand on people. Challenge the antichrist spirit in the church.
"He that believeth in me, out of him shall flow rivers of living water" - John 7:38
