I hope you guys enjoy and ofc any feedback is appreciated just be nice about it🫶🏼
The sun beams through your sheer curtains smacking you right in the face. Your tired warm body is snuggled under the cream white fluffy duvets that your mom had purchased for you in Italy. Cracking an eye open you stretch your limbs and groan softly, sitting up on the bed. A shiver shakes through you, the AC causing goosebumps to erupt on your soft skin.
With only one class in your schedule for today you took on the task of getting ready for university. Fashion was an art to you, it was a sole representation of who you were and how you liked to express yourself. And what exactly was that self expression? Well, clothes from the most expensive designers of course. Your parents owned one of the top marketing companies in all of New York and were currently in the works of expanding worldwide, to say you got everything and anything you wanted was an understatement; the fact that you were an only child only ever added to just how much your parents spoiled you.
“Darling! Yunho is up front waiting for you, don’t be late, traffic in the city is only going to get worse.” Your mother’s voice reverberates through the tall walls of the grand mansion.
“I'll be on my way soon!” You respond back, quickly spraying your sweet perfume and heading downstairs. You may have been perfect in your parent’s eyes, or maybe they just liked to act oblivious but behind that perfect daughter act you put up was something more. You loved to shop till you dropped, that was a known fact but what many didn’t know was the absolute party animal you had developed into over the course of your college career.
There wasn’t a club in New York that you hadn’t graced with your presence. Even when you traveled outside the country for an already expensive vacation, you'd still find a way to get into the most renowned clubs wherever you were on the map. You’d always come up with an excuse to go out, perhaps an important dinner, or sometimes a friend of a friend’s birthday party; your parents would always believe you. Your friends were no saints either, rolling in money themselves they were always there to join you in any escapade you had. You were living the ultimate college student life and no one was ever there to say no to you.
You adjust your bag on your shoulder and slide into the sleek black Escalade. Yunho sits on his phone in the driver’s seat, immediately dropping the device into the cup holder when he hears you settle into the back.
“Good morning Yuyu.” You beam, “good morning miss,” he says, voice barely above a whisper, he sends you a smile through the rear view mirror which you return. Yunho’s heart flutters slightly as he steals glances of you. Your fingers type away on your phone, updating your friends with the latest gossip you have. Yunho’s gaze keeps flicking to you in the mirror, his admiration suddenly turning into pure irritation at the constant ticking of your phone’s keyboard. He’s so annoyed he almost misses the turn to your best friend's house. He slams on the breaks, sending you flying into the back of the passenger seat. You groan loudly while holding your forehead.
“What the fuck Yunho, ugh.” You exclaim tossing your phone on the seat. “Can you be more careful?” His gaze hardens as he peers at you through the mirror for the umpteenth time this morning. He gulps and sucks in a deep breath. Your voice only adding to his irritation. “Don’t forget to pick up Cassie and Yeri.” You say typing away on your phone again. Yunho can only sit in silence, his mind going to the fat paycheck he’d get at the end of this week for driving a CEO’s daughter around. You were such a joy to drive except when you weren’t, but he’d endure anything if it meant he got to work for you; his boy crush only growing by the day.
He’d been picking up your little group of friends every morning since you started your freshman year at NYU, while also driving you around town and picking you up from clubs while being drunk off your mind. It was taking a toll on him, he rarely got any sleep before he had to be up at the ass crack of dawn again, but the pay was good so maybe that’s why he didn’t mind it as much. At least that’s what he liked to tell himself whenever he felt his feelings for you bubbling up. “My daughter is off limits. I trust you understand that right?” He vividly remembers your father saying as he signed the contract. He’d been employed by your dad right before you started college, you had ended up totaling your first car, and with your father’s company status on the rise he decided it’d be best to keep you safe by hiring a chauffeur. You were now halfway through your 3rd year of college with Yunho still as your driver.
He didn’t talk much but when he did he would only ever say the most encouraging things. After you had been stood up on a date you had cried your eyes out in the car, it had upset him seeing you that way so on the ride back home he pulled over and gave you a pep talk of just how much you deserved; since then you had grown fond of him. But it was only ever friendly, until recently. He was tall and extremely handsome, always looking better when you had too many drinks for your own good as he hauled you out of an A list New York club. While he had his good moments with you, there were times where you grinded his gears, like this morning’s drive to school or when you were too “tired” to carry all your shopping bags and just shoved them in his hands without saying please or thank you. As smitten as he was with you, you were his boss’ daughter and that was a zone he did not want to enter.
As he pulls up close to the curb in front of the main area of campus, he sits in silence like always and listens to the loud chatter between you and your friends.
“Alright girlies! Shopping after school? Let's meet up here, Yunho will be driving us!” You say loudly smacking your peppermint gum, your girlfriends all speak loudly, agreeing between giggles. You were the last one to step out of the black Escalade, “bye Yuyu see you soon mwah!” You blow him a kiss and he smiles at you, only shaking his head with a breathy laugh after the door closes.
With a couple of hours of free time, Yunho decides to kill time at a nearby coffee shop, the tired chauffeur sits in the corner of the rather empty cafe. His face lights up mid sip when Mingi walks in. He greets his long time friend, the equally tall man sitting adjacent to him.
“Man, it's like I barely see you nowadays.” Mingi sighs, relaxing into the chair. Yunho checks his watch, your class was short and he’d be expecting a text in about an hour.
“Yea…work is work. It's been kicking my ass recently.” He groans, “do you at least get a vacation?” Mingi asks curiously, Yunho shrugs, “Maybe I would if I asked for it, but I’m trying to rack up at least 3 more checks before I take time off. Besides, taking care of the SMB Enterprises future successor isn’t so bad; she has her bad days but her and her friends make it worth a while.” Mingi chuckles at his friend, “ah really? How so?” Yunho shrugs yet again, “lets just say free reality TV but in person.” Mingi playfully scoffs, his hand coming up to run through his hair. However, there was something more that Yunho wasn’t saying, being friends since childhood had its perks as he knew Yunho better than anyone else and could read him like a book..
“There’s something more though that makes it worth your while right?” Mingi asks curiously and Yunho’s cheeks flush red. Mingi nods trying to suppress a smile, “you like her.” Yunho mentally curses, he chuckles nervously and shakes his head. “Well yes…but I could never. Her father would have my head; I have to keep things strictly professional.”
While Yunho said one thing, Mingi would be thinking the opposite. He was a carefree soul, he didn’t care about anything, “you should-” he starts but Yunho cuts him off, “I can’t that’d be violating my contract.”
The pair talked for a few hours just until around the time your class ended. Yunho is about to check his phone when he sees you walking through the cafe doors, his brows shoot up in confusion, awkwardness filling him when you suddenly walk up to the table he and Mingi were sitting at.
“Oh I'm so sorry, I didn’t know you'd be out 30 minutes early.” He says swallowing thickly and standing up. He could only hope you wouldn’t tell your dad about his cafe date with Mingi.
“Yea my professor let us out a bit early and I wanted a coffee.” You say, texting away on your phone yet again, Yunho suppresses an eyeroll. “But don’t worry I wont tell daddy about your little…date.” You say taking a peek at Mingi. He sends you a tight lipped smile. “Okay well, are you ready to go miss?” You shake your head. “Mm mm, I gotta wait for Cassie and Yeri, and after can you take us to Soho? I need to pick up a few things.” Yunho nods, “for sure. I’ll go bring the car.” You take his seat, not sparing a glance at Mingi, who still remains in his spot after waving goodbye to Yunho.
“So…” he starts,
“Not interested.” Sending him a smile, you walk over to grab your coffee from the mobile order area, “See you around! Yunho’s friend.” You shout walking out of the cafe. Mingi sits back dumbfounded, “unbelievable that he fell for a bitch.” He mutters silently.
***
You had over 5 bags up to the brim with the latest fashion trends. You were sure you’d bought at least one mini dress for every weekend of the month. Your feet ached and you were drained from carrying the bags all through the streets of Soho. Yunho remained inside the car, parked in the designated parking area waiting for your text.
You step out of Neiman Marcus and wait for your ride to pull up in front of the doors. When your driver sees you struggling to the car he immediately hops out to put your and your friend’s bags all in the trunk.
“Good shopping day miss?” He asks, and you nod, stretching your back deliciously against the leather seats of the Escalade once you’re finally inside. The rest of the ride is abnormally quiet, even Cassie and Yeri lay against the headrests with their eyes closed, the day's exhaustion catching up to you three. Before you know it Yunho is pulling up the long curved driveway, stopping right in front of your front doors.
“Thank you for driving us around today Yunho, I know it can be a bit much.” You sheepishly thank him, a soft blush covering your cheeks. “Of course miss, I’m only doing my job.” He gives you a smile and you retreat into your house with him following close behind. This was one of those moments where he absolutely adored you.
***
Friday morning something shifts when your father calls you into his office. You stand barefoot, sporting sleeping shorts and an oversized t-shirt, feeling slightly awkward as Yunho is also standing there. You can feel him eyeing you, clearly not used to seeing you in your lounging attire.
“Darling, due to current articles and the uprising of the company I have decided to promote Yunho to your bodyguard.” Your father says, his hands resting politely atop of his desk. You can't help but stare at him dumbfounded, it was the calm before the storm. Yunho could see your gears turning, he could almost calculate when your outburst was going to happen.
“What do you mean you’re assigning me a bodyguard? Absolutely not! I do not need a babysitter.” Your father’s demeanor changes.
“I will not tolerate your attitude.” He says raising his hand up.
“But dad, I am in college! Actually, I'm about to graduate college. I don’t need someone to look after me!” You state, close to stomping your feet in a tantrum.
“It’s not that you need it dear, it's just for safety precautions. SMD is gaining popularity and I cannot have you walking around without any protection.” He reiterates. You look at Yunho and he can only look down at his feet. “But why him?” At your words his head pops up to look in your direction, his eyes gleaming with mild offense.
“Why not Yunho? He’s perfect for the role. He’s worked with us for 3 years now, knows all your friends and is very familiar with your lifestyle.” Your father defends.
“Well yes but I like him as my chauffeur…I am not here for this dad.” You argue, pointing aggressively at him as you try to prove your point.
“I hired a new chauffeur, per Yunho’s recommendation. He will be here tonight for whatever dinner you have going on this time.” Immediately you knew who he was talking about.
“That loser from the coffee shop!?” You say looking at Yunho this time. Your father brings a hand up to massage his temples, Yunho is about to respond but is cut off.
“Yunho is your bodyguard, and Mingi is your new driver. So either put up with it or stay home tonight. End of discussion!”
You pressed your lips shut, suddenly feeling defeated by your father. You knew discussing the matter further with him was a lost cause, there was no budging him when he set his mind on something. Finally you drop your head in defeat and nod. “Now go, I have to finish some work here. Yunho my apologies for that, you are dismissed.”
You spent the rest of your afternoon laying in bed just staring at the ceiling, then scrolling on your phone and switching between apps. Nightfall approaches and it's time to get ready for a night in the city. You start with a long shower, exfoliating, shaving and moisturizing. You pick a dress from the countless different ones you’d bought earlier in the week. Delicately pulling the tag off, you slip it on. Your phone startles you as it vibrates aggressively on your vanity table, blindly you answer and are met with Cassie’s face.
“I love you but you have to hurry, our VIP reservation is at 11.” Cassie urges, you nod at her through the camera. “Yes yes I'll be there soon, there were new arrangements made today. I’ll tell you all about it.” You hang up the phone and hurry down, where Yunho waits for you by the door. You don't notice the way his eyes rake over your frame and he suppresses a little smirk. He opens the car door for you and when you slip onto the leather seats you are met by the same guy from the cafe. You’ve got to be kidding me, you think to yourself. He’s dressed in a suit just like Yunho, he doesn't say anything else besides a small hello. You only watch the way he smirks at Yunho when he slips into the passenger seat. A smirk that makes you wonder if you had been a topic of discussion between them. The car ride is silent and soon you are pulling into the valet of the night club.
“Mingi right?” Your voice breaks the silence and he nods, “nice to meet you miss. I look forward to tending to whatever you need.” Mingi replies and you almost roll your eyes at the automated response.
“Nice to meet you once again Mingi, welcome to your first day on the job.” You scoff hopping out of the car, the entire debacle between you and your father clearly still filling you up with annoyance.
***
The night starts off slow, you sip on a cocktail while Cassie leans into your ear. “So who's the new one?” Your eyes shift to Mingi who stands next to Yunho, his big hands crossed at his pelvis. He sports a dark pair of shades making it impossible to see where he was looking, yet you can sense his gaze is on you and your best friend.
“Mingi, he’s friends with Yunho. My dad decided that I suddenly needed a bodyguard and promoted Yunho, then hired Mingi per Yunho’s recommendation.” You mock your father’s tone.
“Hmm,” she hums, her teeth digging into her glossy lips, “can I have one?” Looking over to Mingi, you can see his attention is now fully on Cassie despite the dark lenses covering his irises. She waves at him and he sends her a smile. Your friend almost melts into the couch at the subtle advances of your driver.
“No.” Your voice is flat, “I fear they’re both mine.” You joke, except you're not sure how much of it is a joke. The more the alcohol kicks in, the more appealing the pair looks to you.
Your party of friends grows bigger by the hour and more regular club goers fill the space, the bass of the music pounds on your chest, it’s not long before you start feeling the slight fogginess of the alcohol clouding your judgement. Shot after shot kept coming, bottles of the most expensive liquor being served to your table. You’re up now dancing freely with your friends, Yunho standing within close proximity, he’s had to stabilize you on your feet twice now. He points to his watch when Mingi looks at him. “We have to bring her home in about an hour. Her dad’s rules.” He informs his counterpart through their ear piece. Time flew by and by the time that hour hits its 3 a.m.
Yunho sucks in a deep breath and leans down to your level. “It’s time to go.” He says loudly, and you shake your head, “it’s only 3 Yuyu. I don’t wanna go.” You pout holding your stance. It’d only get more difficult from this point on, “I understand that miss but your father’s rules were clear.” You ignore his words and try to tread through the crowd but a heavy hand pulls you back.
“Stop it!” you say twisting your arm from his grip, “I don’t wanna go! You two and my dad can go kiss my ass!” Yunho sent a nod to Mingi. Suddenly your feet are no longer on the ground. Mingi clears up space as Yunho walks with you over his shoulder through the crowd. His large hand holds the bottom of your dress down. Your small fists pound on his back, as you try to flail yourself all over the place.
“Put me down Yunho!” But your bodyguard refuses. Back in valet Yunho waits for the car, while apologetically smiling at a few other employees as you yell every profanity under the sun. Mingi stands beside Yunho and you manage to catch the edge of his sunglasses with your fist, smacking them off his face and scratching him in the process. Mingi winces, holding the raised skin of his face as he picks up his glasses. Yunho shoves you in the car and soon you’re all on your merry way home with you passed out in the backseat.
“I’m regretting this job.” Mingi mutters, running his finger over the scratch on his face. “She’s usually not like this, I guess daddy’s new rules are getting to her.” Yunho responds, sending a pitied look to his best friend. “Usually?” Mingi asks, shaking his head in annoyance.
***
“Mom, did dad give me a curfew?” You ask your mother the next morning, you did your best to ignore the pounding in your head. You can see her eyes shift as she tries to put up a front.
“No baby, what do you mean? Or at least I don’t know of any curfew.” She replies, folding her laundry neatly.
“Because last night that I was out with my friends…at the dinner I told you about. I left at a specific time and that's not how Yunho and I usually operate.” With crossed arms you stare at your mother waiting for whatever excuse she’s come up with.
Instead she gives you a pointed look, “and how do you usually operate?” She smirks, you can’t help but roll your eyes. “Uh, I let him know when I'm ready to go.” You state as if it were an obvious fact. Your words hang in the air and she shrugs.
“I’d ask your father directly honey, I wouldn't know.” You huff in annoyance and head back to your room to freshen up and dispute this with your father.
The door to his office echoes loudly when you swing it open, startling Mingi and Yunho who currently sit in the seats facing the desk.
“Pumpkin I'm discussing busine-”
“Did you give me a curfew?” You ask cutting him off. Your father sighs in defeat, he knew that you’d come to him with questions sooner or later.
“Not necessarily a curfew hon, just a set time to have you home.”
“That’s literally the definition of a curfew! Dad, what is going on? Are you trying to ruin my life?” Your father, clearly on the edge already, is having none of it.
“Is 3 a.m not enough for your clubbing activities?” Your eyes suddenly widen at your fathers words. How'd he know? Then your eyes shift to Yunho who now stands besides Mingi against the wall. Both men stoic in the face as if the entire debacle isn’t going on in front of them.
“Did you think I wouldn’t find out? You keep telling your mom and I that you are going out to important dinners, come to find out you're out at clubs getting absolutely wasted with those trashy friends of yours.” You shake your head, “You don’t underst-”
“What I don’t understand is why my daughter is acting like this. Look at the gash you gave Mingi last night, all because he wanted to ensure your safety back home and you just can’t help but act a fool! Do what you like, you are an adult, but under my house you’ll be home when I say!” He yells, his voice booming through the office.
“But-” You try to argue, and he shakes his head.
“Don't you get it? With our status you cannot be acting like this; it’ll end up in the tabloids and what does that mean for SMD?” Your father searches your face for some type of answer, but you hide by crossing your arms and looking down at the wooden floor.
“You swipe my Amex like it's nothing, you buy what you want, you go where you want, what more do you want? So no, the curfew isn't going anywhere. End of discussion. Now please leave so I can finish business.” Your words are caught in your throat.
You stare at your father before your eyes shift to the two men dressed in black on the side, Yunho sporting a very sly smirk as he watches your eyes sparkle with tears. He was enjoying this little meltdown, he enjoyed the fact that someone had finally said no; after all you were a spoiled brat and while he loved that about you, it was time for a reality check. You stomp out of the office slamming the mahogany door behind you causing you father to flinch and apologize to the pair.
“Don’t have daughters.” Your father sighs.
***
The next week you spent going to your scheduled classes and swimming. The weekend had been the opposite of relaxing between your fathers argument and the raging hangover, you decided to reconnect with nature, touch some grass if you will. Every single time, Yunho was out there with you, and there was nothing he could do about the skanky bikinis you sported every time you sat out in the sun. In his head he cursed Mingi for being able to take a break, after all he was your only real bodyguard.
He sat in a chair in the shade, his eyes drinking in every area of uncovered skin behind his sunglasses. His mind went places and he couldn't help but readjust himself multiple times. Your demeanor with him had also changed, you were more talkative than before, asking him about himself, offering him lemonade made with your own secret recipe. You were sweet talking him and he knew it was your way of trying to get him to break the rules for you next time you went out. But if there was one thing about Yunho it was that he wasn't a people pleaser, and he wasn't one to give in easily especially not to brats like you.
The week flew by for him and like usual, here he was on his way with you and Mingi to another top club in New York city. You were dressed in a two piece set this time, the skirt so short your underwear peeked through every time you sat down. With wandering eyes everywhere, in order to shield you Yunho’s big frame stood in front of you. He takes your hand and you smile up at him with big eyes, but he averts his focus to his job at hand which was protecting you.
***
By midnight you're drunk out of your mind, so drunk that you ended up booking a hotel room in the building where the said club was at. You told yourself you deserved to get wasted and spoil yourself in a luxurious hotel after the hell week you’d had.
“I-i don’t wanna go home, just take me up to my room whenever. I forwarded you the reservation email.” You told Yunho. It wouldn’t align with your father’s rules but Yunho was sure you'd twist up some pretty lie to get out of being asked too many questions. “Tell my parents I'm crashing at Cassie’s.” Yunho could only agree, because what else could he do in this situation? Would it put his job in jeopardy? Yes, was he annoyed with you? Also yes, but he'd rather deal with your father later than have you cause another scene for him and Mingi yet again.
“One more drink Yuyu please?” You ask, your eyes big and glassy as you stare up at him. He shakes his head, “I don’t think it's a good idea to keep drinking miss. At least take a break.” He suggests, your lips form a pout but you were too tired to fight him. Eventually you manage to slip through the crowd and to the bar. Mingi and Yunho search for you but their panic is short lived when you reappear with another martini in hand.
“Do you want some?” You ask, there you go again with that suggestive gaze that has him reeling. He shakes his head and as you're about to take another sip he pulls the glass away from you. “I said no more.” You pout at his harsh tone.
“Fine, take me to the bathroom then.” You say crossing your arms. Yunho sighs internally, deciding that having you use the restroom alone was too risky he convinces Cassie to take you. The blonde holds on to your arm as Yunho clears space for you to walk through. He stands outside the door and motions Cassie to bring you in.
Yunho waits outside for what feels like an eternity; after 20 minutes he knocks on the door. Cassie opens and without a word pulls him in. “what-” but Cassie shakes her head, “she threw up about half of the drinks she drank. I fed her some water, she should be sobering up.” You sit against the wall of the fancy bathroom with your eyes closed. You feel a hand going around your bicep to hoist you up and you shake your head.
“Don’t move me, I’d rather wait it out here. Just get me some water please.” Not daring to have your eyes obliterated by the harsh light you keep them closed. You hear the bathroom door open, letting the noise of the club in for a second before it muffles out again.
A full bottle and a half of water later, you had sobered up almost entirely. You rinse your mouth in the sink and pat some cold water on your chest to freshen up and head back out where Yunho stands.
You walk through the crowd heading straight for the bar, ready for at least another round of drinks but Yunho pulls you back. “No more drinks.” He states flatly. Your brows draw together, sending him a confused look. “Um, who says I can’t? Cause as far as I can remember you’re just my bodyguard not my dad.” Now you have taken it upon yourself to mess with him. You were tired of being bossed around. Your eyes bore into his, his gaze has shifted in a way you had never seen before; he was pissed. Sucking in a deep breath he leans down to your ear, “you are done for the night.” You swallow thickly and shrug trying to play off the sudden ache in the bottom half of your body. You take the lead, both men following close behind you.
Despite sobering up, the exhaustion after drinking is catching up to you and the little alcohol you have left in your system still keeps you a bit unstable on your feet. The elevator ride up to the room is tension filled. You can feel both men’s gazes on you, and out of the corner of your eye you see the way Yunho and Mingi exchange glances.
As soon as you step through the door Yunho breaks the silence, “I need you to sit down and drink some water.” Taking the water bottle from his grip, you sit down purposefully taking small sips. Both men watch you carefully, pulling their blazers off and draping them over a chair, leaving them both in their white button ups.
“I don’t really want any more water.” Your hoarse voice says, pushing the bottle away from you. You go to stand up but Yunho stops you.
“Sit the fuck down.” He points at the seat as soon as you rise to your feet.
“Excu-”
“Now.” You plop back down on the soft chair in defeat.
“You’ve been a real fucking pain the ass you know that right?” At that you giggle, biting your lip a little too hard at his frustration.
“She thinks it's funny Min.” A low hum rumbles through Mingi’s chest.
“Do you want me to blow you as a thank you for being the best bodyguard ever and putting up with me? Because I will.” Your body is now burning hot, just the mere thought of Yunho having you on your knees in front of his best friend who is also your chauffeur excites you. You slowly rise to your feet, stepping carefully towards Yunho as if testing the waters. Your bare feet on the carpet showcasing the sheer size difference between you and the dark blue haired man. Without second thought his hands cup your face and pull you into him for a kiss. Everything goes fast, your hands grip his wrists as he still has a hold of your face as he kisses you with pure fervor.
“Fucking brat.” Yunho pulls you away and redirects you towards Mingi who is now standing by the bed. Your arms stretch out to reach for the Mingi, he pulls you into him and you meet his lips as Yunho manhandles your skirt. Mingi wastes no time laying you down, the skirt of your two piece set now resting on your waist from the vigorous movement, your panty clad cunt on full display. Yunho presses you down into bed by your chest, his opposite hand coming down to play with you. His fingers rub over the fabric of your now soiled underwear.
“Such a good girl huh Yunho?” Mingi says chuckling at your writhing form. Yunho smirks,
“Sit behind her, why don't you.” Yunho pulls you up and Mingi slots himself between you and the plush pillows, your back now resting flush against his chest. His arms encircle themselves around your waist as Yunho tugs your panties down. He holds the fabric up by his finger, “We’ve been getting peeks of this slutty thong all night, how cute.” Yunho chuckles.
His fingers toys with you before slipping two slender digits inside. Immediately your back arches against your chauffeur’s chest, his grip only tightening on you. His eyes are focused on his fingers splitting you open, his hand coming down to rest right above your pelvis. He starts with languid strokes, and the way you only spread your legs further for him eggs him on to pick up speed.
“Look at you, spreading your legs open like a slut.” There’s a condescending look on Yunho’s face when he speaks to you. The veins on his arms slightly bulged out from the excretion. You could only whine and attempt to buck your hips on his fingers. Between the haze of the alcohol and the duo's cologne invading your senses you feel yourself spiraling. A knot forming in the pit of your tummy builds up fast. Your lower body begins to shake as your legs threaten to close, that's when Mingi reaches for one of your legs and he hooks his hand behind your knee pulling you open for Yunho.
“Open up pretty.” He murmurs in your ear.
“Im gon-na, Yuyu.” You squirm in Mingi’s grip, your whines picking up in volume. You can barely keep your eyes open and then your orgasm hits you. Your body shudders heavily under the two men. Yunho sends you encouraging words as you cum all over his fingers. Mingi leans down to press feathered kisses on your cheek, his lips inching slowly towards your now messy glossy lips. He kisses you hard, his hand unhooking from your leg and coming down hard against your pussy. Your whole body jolts at the action you can only cry out and take what they give you.
“Come here baby,” Yunho says, pulling you up swiftly. Your legs are shaky as you stand close to him, his hands on your face again, this time you lean to kiss him, glossy lips working desperately against his. But Yunho wasn’t about to let you do what you wanted, not this time. He pulls away, his large hand wrapping around your throat as he squeezes lightly, only enough to take your breath away momentarily.
“Watch it slut, you want something you have to work for it.” He spits, backing you into Mingi. “Who goes first? Me or you?” The driver chuckles and pulls your arms behind your back bending you into the bed. “I’ll break her in for you, how about that?” Yunho smiles at him, “don't let her cum. Tiny has to learn to work for things, she can’t just swipe daddy’s Amex here.” Yunho mocks.
You climb onto the bed face down, ass up, with your hands resting behind your back. Mingi’s belt buckle resonates loudly in the room, echoing in the haze of your brain. Yunho suddenly comes into your line of vision, his pants also unbuckled.
“Are you ready baby?” He asks, feigning a pout at the tears lining your eyes. You lift your head, your hands coming to support you as you push yourself up. You nod vigorously,
“Please Yuyu, I want it so bad.” You whine. Yunho shakes his head and points at Mingi, “why don’t you ask Mingi nicely baby.”
You pant softly and crane your neck to look at the man behind you. “Please Mingi, I want it so bad.” Your hips wiggle back towards him. Mingi’s mushroom tip prods at your entrance
“You want it?” he teases and you nod, taking your lip between your teeth, his large hands grip your waist as he gently pushes in. His girth alone splitting you open slowly. Your eyes roll to the back of your head, at the intrusion.
“Hands behind your back girlie.” Yunho whispers, your arms reach back and Mingi holds on to them as he pulls you onto him, his entire length buried in you. His warm skin comes in contact with your ass and suddenly he’s set a delicious pace that has you reeling. Your breath gets caught in your throat and you're sure you've now gone dumb. Yunho is talking to you but you can barely hear him, until he taps your cheek, his hand cupping your chin and gently lifting your face up. His leaking tip pokes your lips, you open your mouth, wide eyes looking up at him. Yunho bites lip, his hands caressing your face.
“Good fucking girl baby.” You hum around his cock and he gently moves further in until he hits the back of your throat. You gag slightly, tears now rolling down your cheeks freely.
“Being used from both ends, baby. Look at you.” Mingi moans, his thrust now becoming erratic, he eventually resorts to barely pulling out, his hips jutting hard against you just bullying his tip against your cervix. Your eyes roll to the back of your head, your orgasm fast approaching. Yunho takes notice of the way, you're going limp on the bed, your whole body twitching.
“She's about to cum, don't let her finish. She doesn't deserve it yet Min.” He grunts, pulling out of your mouth and cupping your chin once again. He watches with an amused smile as Mingi struggles to slow down and pull out, just as you're about to fall over the brink it all stops. Your tired body collapses on the bed, writhing in discomfort at your fading high.
“Yun-ho, please.” You whine, rubbing your legs together.
“I'm pretty sure I gave myself blue balls man,” Mingi shudders, his hand running up and down his cock, trying to keep the stimulation going. Yunho ignores his friend's comment and takes his place instead, he looms over you now. He pulls you on your back, tugging on the top you still wore, which was now soiled with spit and tears. He tugs at the stretchy material until it sits comfortably under your chest. Your tits spilling over, nipples perky and waiting for attention. He toys with your tits, fondling them and laying a flat smack that irritates the skin. You're panting like a dog, legs open waiting for him to do whatever he wanted to you.
“Are you ready to work for it?” He asks, once again in a condescending tone. You nod, your hands reaching around the bed feeling for Mingi. Yunho leans down pressing a sloppy kiss to your lips, his tongue swipes over your lip, your mouth drops open as he slips inside, instantly buried to the hilt. He gives you one last kiss and pulls away, instantly setting a brutal pace. Pleasure spreads all over your abdomen, as his cock hits that spongy spot deep within you. You're a moaning mess, legs trying to cage him in and hips lifting to meet him but he doesn't let you.
“You're acting like a bitch in heat baby, you wanna cum?” He asks, and you nod, letting out a strangled cry. “Ye-yes yuyu please.” Mingi’s hand works heavy on his cock, trying to match the grip your cunt had around him.
“I said work for it, remember? So why don’t you be a doll and help Mingi.” He motions over to the man beside your head. You do the best you can to replace his hand, your pace is shaky, barely consistent, he leans a bit closer and you are able to get his red tip in your mouth. His hand coming down to cup the back of your head, helping you lift up without causing much strain. Mingi lowers his hips, lodging himself deeper in your mouth. You can barely focus anymore, your headspace far from reality.
“She's going dumb look at her,” Yunho grunts, Mingi breathes heavily above you. And you suck gently and somehow that's enough to push him over the edge. His cum spills into your mouth at the same time your high is building up. You pull from him, his tip still leaking, now spilling all over your lips and chin. Yunho hold your hips and your hands come down to grip his forearms as he fucks you into the bed.
“You earned it tiny, go ahead and fucking c-cum.” Yunho strangles out, your orgasm builds up until you're falling over the edge. Your body locks up, legs shaking as you ride your high, loud whines falling from your lips. You relax into the bed and Yunho who ruts against you suddenly stills and spills into your gummy walls. He sucks in a deep breath as the pulsing in his cock comes to a slow halt. He pulls out and his seed is spilling out from you, running down between your lips and onto the bed creating a wet patch.
Your eyes are closed, lungs still trying to suck in air from the heavy exertion. You feel yourself getting moved around, a warm towel wiping your face and then between your legs. Someone pulls you out of the matching set that was still bunched around your waist.
You feel a tap on your cheek and you open your eyes to be met by Mingi and a water bottle. “Here's some water doll.” You sit up and gently sip from the bottle, humming at the cool liquid running down your scratched throat. Yunho slips on the white button he sported on you. Mingi looks at him as he puts the blazer back on.
“I’ll stop somewhere for a button up in the morning.” Yunho says when he feels Mingi’s judgemental gaze on him. “Get some rest doll, Mingi and I will be back for you in the morning.” you pout as they tuck you into the plush bed. “You can't stay?” You ask but you knew the answer. Yunho shakes his head, “gotta report that you are safe. It'll also look suspicious if we stay, you know you got eyes on you everywhere now.” You nod and nuzzle into the bed.
The door clicks softly behind them as they walk towards the elevators. “I can tell she really likes you.” Mingi informs his best friend. Yunho shrugs, “That's rocky territory, I couldn't imagine what her father would do if he ever found out.” In a way it hurt his chest the thought of never seeing you again if your father found out. After pining over you for the past 3 years in secrecy, and it coming down to tonight's activities he was happy, but it was also bittersweet that nothing further than this could ever happen; he could never call you fully his out of fear.
Yunho rests against the elevator wall, anxiety creeping up on him at the thought of trying to play this all off in the future. He avoids the front desk personnel’s gaze as she gives him a questioning look on his attire as his bare chest peeked through the expensive blazer. When they're both back in the car he reports to your father through text that you'd insisted on crashing at Cassie’s place and that they’d be back for you early in the morning.
***
The following weeks were a blur at least for Yunho, he couldn't concentrate on anything other than you, all he ever saw was you. He caught himself admiring more than ever before; so much so Mingi had to often snap him back to reality. Aside from that, there was nothing he could do besides stay quiet and do his job. He had Mingi to vent to but that ended when the man resigned after he got a job opportunity as a producer. He was shortly replaced by Hongjoong, he was cool and all but he couldn’t have deep conversations with him like he did with his best friend.
The lewd activities from that night replayed in his mind and he just couldn’t help how much his feelings for you kept growing since then; he was sure he was now in love. He envied Mingi and how easily he relaxed in situations where Yunho was conflicted.
“Why are you stressing, man? We all had a good time, it doesn't need to be brought up again.” His friend would say, but that was easy for him to say when he wasn't in love with you.
You on the other hand had developed a full blown crush on your bodyguard, you liked the way he handled you, that was all you needed in your life. Not being able to hold back any longer you’d began to sneak out into the greenhouse that sat in a quiet corner of your grand backyard. Yunho would meet you for quickies, which would eventually lead to the two of you talking till the late hours of the night all while your parents remained clueless inside. You knew how much Yunho feared losing his job and being faced by your father, but of one thing you were sure; you always got what you wanted, and Yunho would be yours one way or another.

I'm new here, I've been reading Lance fics and I love them, but it broke my heart to see a writer my friends recommended, and I looked her up on here and she was hating Lance for some rumors that turned out to be false, my friends investigated a lot about it, and seeing how she talks about him, and that she believed in them when Lance has proven to be a good person, it really made me disappointed and broke my heart, it seems like she was never a real fan.
What fics do you recommend I read?
hi!!
first of all i'm sorry it took me so long to answer this. it always sucks when somebody you thought was super cool turns out to dislike your guy :(( but we have a thriving lance nation here, and lots of lance love to spread!!
in terms of fic recs:
moth to the flame by @pitconfirm. it's absolutely delightful and awkward and a character study in the best of ways. it's a consideration of relationships and vulnerability and i feel like it is SUCH an important lance piece. also. rare pair! status: completed. rating: M. word count: 4.8K
a gentle hand by zeolyte. featuring lance's canonical praise kink and desperate need to be Good, it's strollonso getting together in the most strollonso way possible: sex, misunderstandings, and more sex <3 very sweet and it has a happy ending! status: completed. rating: E. word count: 3.5K
monsoon by @fractalkiss. non-linear narrative and Complicated Relationships. i found it super fascinating, like taking a deep dive into lance's mind. also a lot about lance's relationships with the older drivers... ough it's complex in the best of ways. endless possibilities and strollonso. status: completed. rating: M. word count: 4K
finger trap by @rivalism. one of my first glance fics and it has since cemented itself as one of the hall-of-famers. lance through the eyes of george, and everything it entails, the contrast between them, the struggle of winning the battle just to lose the war (is it even a win if the other person isn't even aware it's a competition?). status: completed. rating: M. word count: 1.3K
sweet disposition (series) by @userkritaaay. i MUST recommend this whole series, it's insane. more glance, another one of the greats. featuring assumptions being shattered and relationships being formed and twisted and rebuilt again. it's more of lance through the eyes of george, but i still count it, simply because of the way everything is a study and an answer in one. absolutely brilliant. status: completed. rating: M. word count: 18.2K
comfy and cosy are we (snuggled up together) by @babycatgirlboy. this one was so cute and so indulgent. a comfy and cosy (very aptly named) holiday fic, featuring seblance and a sweet relationship <3 status: completed. rating: M. word count: 4.5K
the art of tender loving by anon. also aptly named, it's a wingfic (idk about you but i'm a SUCKER for them), featuring lance's broken wrists as a very handy plot device and the intimacy of grooming. i love the strollonso development, and it really captures the stages of falling in love, i think. status: completed. rating: NR. word count: 6K
for it is in giving that we receive by @f1ugmodus. another delight. very introspective, and the sort of developing relationships (lesteban!!) that make me shiver and kick my feet. it has a wonderful tone, sweet and bittersweet at the same time, and really thinks about love languages and how we give and receive love. status: completed. rating: T. word count: 4.8K
bowerbird by @wewentcarracing. another masterpiece that (very politely) devastated me. shy animal courting rituals INDEED. strollonso, and it's so emotionally deep. you can feel the uncertainty, the give and push that only comes from forming new relationships with history both known and unknown and an investment that can bring lesser people to their knees. so melancholy, so sweet, and a wonderfully hopeful ending. delightful. status: completed. rating: T. word count: 11.4K
maybe we got lost (in translation) by @alpinelogy. less lance and more lesteban, but an ode and a character study all the same. it explores lance and esteban meeting, growing up, and growing together in the best possible ways. friends to lovers personified. status: completed. rating: T. word count: 6.7K
there are so many more wonderful lance fics, with so many talented lance authors, and it was a real struggle to cap it to just 10. i hope you enjoy reading, and feel free to rec more fics from me!!

If reader were to be a famous person what would each Oscar Isaac character be like/act like if they knew them and what would they do? Your choice of characters of course ❤️
-anon
This is gonna be wild👀
OI characters with famous reader
Featuring: The moon boys, Poe Dameron, Nathan Bateman, Santiago Garcia, Miguel O'Hara, Blue Jones, Basil Stitt, William Tell.
A/n: I did Basil and Steven a bit dirty. Nsfw is only for those two.
Poe Dameron: He is probably going to be a fan of you. Goes to every planet you may have fan meetings and would ask for a picture of you.
Most likely develops a crush on you. Blushes deeply whenever you two have eye contact.
Would send BB-8 to you while watching from a far. If BB-8 brings you joy, Poe's butterflies in his stomach go wild and he feels like he's about to pass out.
Would definitely buy VIP if you offer it.
William Tell: He has his bit fame too, and therefore would apply to become your manager or personal asisstant.
During fan meetings, William has the idea of setting up a Poker table, where fans could go against him. If they win, they could get a free picture with you.
But William is hard to beat, maybe don't expect many people to actually win against him.
Santiago Garcia: Would probably like to be your bodyguard. He definitely has the experience and would exceed at it.
Would always make sure the area is safe and if you have VIP, he would actually check the bags of anyone wanting to meet you.
Most likely gets Benny, William and Frankie as bodyguards for you too. No need for basic bodyguards when you have ex militaries.
Nathan Bateman: Definitely knows about you. Would perhaps apply to be your tech guy, keeping all your devices safe and hack free.
Even likes to design and install his own security system that once triggered, he himself would appear, maybe bring along some of his androids to protect you.
Miguel O'Hara: Miguel pretty much likes you and could apply to be your personal asisstant or PR manager.
Also wouldn't shy away from bodyguard duty. And since he's having spidey senses, people could actually come to meet him too, thus will lead you to get more famous because people know you have Miguel O'Hara.
Blue Jones: Blue sees you as an opportunity for himself to get more famous.
Wants to send you an invite to come to Lennox, and do a fan meeting in his club.
Not that he doesn't like you, but Blue likes fame so he could definitely get used by having you pay a visit. Plus it may lead to more girls wanting to join him...
Basil Stitt: He knew you before his incident, he had a bit of a crush on you. But now with his scarred cheek and embarrassment of it, Basil feelings towards you grew.
It pisses him off knowing he can't meet you in person again, he isn't good at accepting rejection and thinks you will find him ugly.
Basil would continue watching every video of you he can, eating takeout pizza and jerking off after. He wishes he could see you in person again...
Jake Lockley: Jake would definitely apply to be your personal driver. He likes you and a fat paycheck here and there definitely won't hurt.
Though he wouldn't shy away of protecting you, always having his trusty gun with him.
Jake would actually offer taking pictures with him too. Your fans should know who drives the famous you around.
Marc Spector: Definitely has the skills and experience of being your bodyguard. Would walk beside you with his sunglasses and chewing on gum.
Would want nothing more than to keep you safe. Marc can definitely deal with rude fans.
Also would agree to take pictures with your fans if they wanted. Some fame or even money could never hurt him.
Steven Grant: Oh dear... Steven would be... the obsessive fan...
Always goes to your fan meetings, probably has a big crush on you. Would keep any magazine cover and pictures of you stashed in a box.
Steven would also send you fan mail. But he is smart enough to not send... substances...
He isn't that stupid like most obsessive fans would be therefore keeps jerking off in private rather than sending it to you.

so is the first chapter just human characters? ):
No, it's not just human characters. Chapter 1 part 2 will be posted tomorrow, and it has robots, please be patient.
If you are a transformers fan who dislikes any humans in transformers media for the fact they are human, then Synergize is probably not going to be your thing, sorry. Synergize focuses a lot on human and cybertronian relationships. Synergize is an ensemble cast with multiple characters who get a decent amount of focus, some of those characters being human, I intend to put just as much care and time into developing the human characters as I do the bots. The human characters are not an afterthought or something I'm adding just because I felt like it, they are important members of the cast, both the human cast and cybertronian cast are essential for each other development/character arcs. cybertronian in Synergize are written to be much more alien than in most Transformers media. Synergize's cybertronains have more alien-like behavior, morals, instincts, social dynamics, social structure, anatomy and society, having human characters to contrast that help better show the alienness of the bots. Along with having a character who can learn about the bots alongside the reader and ask questions a cybertronian character wouldn't. It also creates a lot of interesting human bot dynamics and plot opportunities.
Human characters also have an extreme amount of plot utility, Sure, they can't fist-fight a giant bot, but that is not the only way a character can be useful. They have more knowledge on Earth than the bots, so even an unintelligent human has at least a little useful Earth knowledge a cybertronian wouldn't know. Earth is built to cater to humans, and my bots don't have Haloform, so if they need something done only a human can do, then they gotta rely on a human to do it. Humans are also great for disguise, and my bots are trying to stay hidden, getting pulled over and having a human in the driver's seat is way less suspicious than a car driving itself. Humans are small and quiet even compared to small cybertronian, humans joints and internals usually don't make as much noise, along with humans having a much fainter energy signal, making them perfect for stealth and sneaking around. A human might not be able to fight a robot, but if they are mechanically inclined, they could learn how to fix/repair cybertronians. Once you know how to fix cybertronians, you can usually figure out sneaky little ways to break one without needing to be a giant robot (though you still have to risk getting close to one). Humans are immune to some very common cybertronian security systems and weapon types, magnets, EMP devices, malware, and stasis tech, yes, humans are squishy, but you're not gonna kill one with magnets or EMP blast or by trying to give them malware. Also, humans are also just smaller and can fit in more places. Humans are clever creatures, and even though they aren't as strong as a bot, it doesn't mean they can't contribute a lot. Not every plot features human characters, but most do because of both their utility to the plot and the fun dynamics they have with many of the bot characters.
Synergized as a story, both plot structure-wise and thematically, does not work without human characters.
#robot human freindship is one the reasons i love transformers#im a transformers human defenders#human in transformers media is not a bad thing is just a lot of tf writers don't put any effort into writing them#most tf humans aren't even that bad its just they are pretty bad in a lot the more popular things like bayverse and early idw#also those two ships were decepticons they were just in their alt modes#transformers fan continuity#transformers#tfs#transformers synergize#text post#ask answering#tf#this got longer than i expected but yeeeee humans epic okay let them go on cool adventure with cool robots

Now that you've had some time to cool down from the Fuckfest of Friday Night, I'm a little curious on what you think of MonoTV's whole deal, because I haven't seen anyone actually talk about it much and that makes me so upset because wow Dev somehow managed to get me to care about this piece of steel
Spoilers up to the end of CH2
Hey! Yeah, MonoTV, huh? With everything else going on, this thing kinda got pushed aside, but there's been some really interesting developments indeed. I agree though, it's genuinely pretty incredible dev managed to get me to care about what up to this point had been nothing but a device for plot and humor.
You know, I originally wanted to keep this brief to give my full thoughts on the full part 2 analysis I'm working on, but maybe it's better if I just talk about it in full here and just link to this post from that one. Let me start by the theory side, because that's easier for me to write about :v
While MonoTV's creation being connected to XF-Ture Tech was always a very real possibility, the confirmation that at least its personality drivers come from them is nice. And there doesn't seem to be any type of repurposing going on:
MonoTV: Whenever I make a decision, ultimately, I must make the choice that fulfills my purpose [to run the killing game until the death of every participant]. After all, that was why I was created.
While we don't fully understand how this all fits together yet, I'm glad XF is being brought up because that might mean Min content in the future? For me, please? :,D
Anyways. Having a clearly stated goal for the killing game (killing all the participants) is also pretty useful for theory-crafting purposes, so look forward to seeing that line referenced in mastermind discussions moving forward. Not to mention, the secondary purpose of MonoTV playing the villain, with the reasoning:
MonoTV: This so-called TV show is more about appearances than you'd think.
So... ignoring the weird phrasing of "so-called TV show" as opposed to just "TV show," because I will go crazy if I look too deep into that, the confirmation that the appearances of the killing game are important seem to confirm a suspicion Teruko had back in CH2 Ep2.
Teruko: And also, [MonoTV is designed the way it is] as a way to reference that "past killing game," right?
Assuming via context that she's talking about THH, MonoTV being specifically created and programmed to look and act sorta like Monokuma could have some interesting implications moving forward, especially given things like Duke Spurling being alive to see the Tragedy and maybe wanting a recreation of the THH killing game. Thankfully there's no character with a talent for recreating things, such as art, an art forger of some kind, because if there was this could realistically point to them as the mastermind. :)
Final note about theories: I... called it? Sort of?
[Extract from Vivisection of the David MV] What I think is the best idea [regarding the multi-colored "original"] is that all the characters [which includes MonoTV] got the word. [...] I think it makes more sense to relate them to the meaning of "original style" under my interpretation, where "original style" means a change of heart.
Well, MonoTV sure had a change of personality, albeit briefly, now didn't it? (Please ignore the fact that I dismissed the possibility of MonoTV changing in the lines following that one :p) Admittedly "characters in DRDT will have character development" is possibly my least wild theory ever, but a W is a W (?).
Alright but screw theorizing that's for insane people. Let's go for character analysis, because the fact that MonoTV has become a genuinely interesting creature to study is possibly even wilder than the XF-Ture Tech name drop.
Now, a lot of what we hear character wise is similar to stuff we heard in MonoTV's previous character building moment; CH2 EP3.
MonoTV: Does a toaster know why it toasts? Does a calculator know why it adds and subtracts? They are simply machines that do their job without needing to understand why. To that end, I don't know who made this TV show and why. All I do is carry out the directives programmed into me.
MonoTV: I have no conscience, no sense of morality, no will at all. I am merely a robot, subject to the laws of my code. I have no choice but to perform the actions that my creator dictated I must. [...] All the decisions I make were already decided by whatever entity created me, because I am a robot.
It's stated in a much more melancholic tone, given the music in the background, the sprite pose, and the generally less silly "default personality," but it's nothing really new. MonoTV is a machine, it follows programming.
Except.
MonoTV: Even if I feel pain or guilt, I cannot stop. That is the fate that I have, to make others suffer. And there is no diverging from that fate.
Hey MonoTV what the fuck does this mean.
"Even if I feel pain or guilt"? Instead of "I can't feel pain or guilt"? The choice of wording here is very interesting, because it seems to imply that MonoTV does feel pain and guilt over the killing game, regardless of how impossible that should be. The "fate" drop is pretty huge for thematic reasons, as I'm sure you're aware; Teruko explains her own feelings about it in the rest of the scene, there's Xander's speech to Teruko before he attempted to stab her, Ace talking about how he was too much of a coward to fight his fate, Arei actually defying a similar fate in a way, David with the LGI lyrics, Whit and J and Rose and so many other people, all interconnected by this damn concept. I think it'd be fine if this is all we hear about MonoTV in relation to it, but there's definitely fun parallels to explore regardless.
Given how little we have of these particular character details so far, there's not much I can say about it other than I love the concept of an AI being forced to do something it doesn't "want" to because of code, and I'm interested to see if MonoTV will act differently in the future. It's supposed to reset to its previous personality in the full reset, I imagine, but it's not like we can just ignore all the shit it said here. I'm very curious to see where dev takes this.
That said, I also wanted to point out how this vague allusion to feeling pain and guilt and possibly hopelessness against fate aren't the only feelings MonoTV exhibits. Because for some unfathomable reason, it seems to care about Teruko to an extent?
MonoTV: Is something the matter, Teruko? Everyone else has already left.
Like, maybe I'm misreading because the personality change is fucking with me, but this feels like a concern more genuine than I would expect from pre-2-16 MonoTV. And...
MonoTV: You have to decide the answer for yourself.
This, along with the little speech about Teruko's humanity that precedes it, again comes off as MonoTV genuinely trying to help her through her emotions. I don't see how this correlates with its purpose, unless it somehow "believes" that giving Teruko advice on this will somehow lead to Teruko killing someone or something to that effect, which makes no sense.
If it doesn't help kill the participants, isn't necessary for the killing game, and doesn't make MonoTV seem like a villain, then it's not related to any of its purposes. It isn't code making MonoTV say this things. It's MonoTV's... consciousness? I guess? It's very, very interesting.
I am genuinely super interested in where dev is taking MonoTV, and if you told me that was a sentence I would unironically type before this episode, I would have called you insane. The writing in this series is genuinely immaculate, I can't believe we're getting genuine basis for MonoTV angst and it's compelling. Dev does it again!
Thanks for the ask, this was fun to ramble about!

(For Frankie and her “boyfriend<3) @frankie-norris (lan is blocked)
Let’s make something real clear: Lan and Frankie are not victims — they’re manipulators, stalkers, and full-time liars. I’ve stayed quiet out of respect, but now that they’ve harassed not just me but my friends, crossed serious boundaries, and weaponized trauma while spreading bullshit fantasy lives? We’re done being polite.
First off — Lan getting weird over someone matching profile pictures with me instead of their girlfriend? That’s insecure as hell. What’s worse is that he stalked my friend’s online activity, asking why they weren’t “active” in the server when he apparently knew they were “online every day.” Sorry, how do you know that? Oh right — you’re obsessively checking. That’s not concern, that’s surveillance.
Meanwhile, Frankie guilt-tripped someone for even considering leaving the server, then twisted their words to make herself look like the victim. She said they were manipulating her when all they said was “I can leave the server if you want me to.” That’s not a threat — that’s giving you an out. But you wanted drama, not peace. You wanted control.
And let’s talk about the bullshit fantasy roleplay lives you both peddle like it’s fanfiction. Frankie says she used to race McLarens in Europe at 15 — girl, are you a failed F1 prodigy we’ve never heard of? She claims her family is so rich that she has a whole team of doctors on call and six brothers, two of which work at Ferrari and McLaren. Literally what are the odds? Like girl, you’re not a Red Bull development driver. You’re a compulsive liar on Discord.
She also told people that Lando Norris came up to her at a bar and said “you sure you can take another?” Like be for real — Lando would sooner eat gravel than risk his entire career flirting like a Wattpad character in public. Try harder.
And Lan? He’s out here saying he was raped as a five-month-old and again at another mystery age — I’m sorry, but trauma is not a trading card you flash whenever you’re called out. Either tell the truth or stop using trauma as a manipulation device to gain sympathy and dodge accountability. It’s disgusting.
Let’s not forget the mess of contradictions. Frankie’s story about her dad? First it was a house fire, then just the room. She says she’s uncomfortable talking about her past, then trauma-dumps it on every new person she meets. She’s sweet and fragile on Tumblr, but a raging asshole the moment someone doesn’t roll out the red carpet for her emotionally. And yes, she was the one harassing and attacking her former friend Bambi under anon — a girl who’s actually kind, and who did nothing to deserve your two-faced crap.
Lan, meanwhile, calls himself a feminist while calling other girls “pretty” behind his partner’s back, shares private photos in group chats, and even GOOGLE SEARCHED someone’s cheer gym to try and figure out who they were. That’s stalking. That’s dangerous. And it’s criminally invasive.
You act like you’re protecting each other from the world, but the truth is this: you’ve become the bullies you claim to be running from. You track people’s online status, play the victim when you don’t get your way, and twist every situation into a pity party. You’re not innocent. You’re not soft. You’re not healing. You’re manipulative, fake, and dangerous.
So no — we’re not scared of you, we’re not fooled by you, and we’re not gonna be quiet anymore. You’re a mess of lies dressed in Tumblr filters and “healing energy” quotes. And we see right through you. (For Frankie and her “boyfriend<3)

amc iwtv abigail (2024) au
The year is 2024. The location is Paris. A team of professional criminals are hired to kidnap the “daughter of a wealthy businessman” and hold her hostage for a large sum of money.
This team includes:
The “mastermind”
The medic in charge of anesthetic doses and taking care of the kid
The getaway driver
The hacker
The muscle
The ex army
These roles are played by
Santiago as the mastermind
Madeline as the medic
Estelle as the getaway driver
Daniel as the hacker
Celeste as the muscle
Now you may ask, why these particular choices? Here's the explanation
The “mastermind” of the team thinks that he’s far smarter than he is, doesn’t view abigail the child vampire as either a threat or a creature with feelings, starts out sadistic and only gets worse until he’s the real villain of the piece after becoming a vampire toward the end of the movie. This is all very Santiago to me.
The medic is the one who develops a bond with Abigail, the child vampire. In the movie, this character has a son that she’s trying to get the job money for so that she can reconcile with him too. While I wouldn’t want that to be the exact backstory, it does work for the framing. A Madeline who went into health care to help her ailing younger sister and try to get her foot in the door for a medical transition. Who was able to transition but had that kill her career and then had to resort to working for crime bosses. She ends up nicking some of their supplies to try to help her sister and has a very traumatic firing. Without that income and those supplies her sister dies and she loses access to her hormones, so she decides to do something.. Drastic. To try to get back on her feet. What other option does she have, really?
Estelle is the getaway driver because she blows up on a motorcycle and I think that’s funny
Old Maniel. This character in the movie is a young woman from a wealthy family who hacks for the fun and the thrill. I love the idea that publication of his vampire memoir destroyed his journalistic career in the 80s. After that, he still had to make do somehow, right? Hacking got the job done. He’s doing one more big job to send home an enormous paycheck to his girls, maybe write a book about it that’ll be published post mortem and keep paying their bills. Sure, whatever he gets on paper won’t make him look good, but it’ll be something. He doesn’t expect that vampires involved in his past situation would be so close to the ones plotting this situation.
Celeste as the muscle because if Estelle is there she has to be too.
I liked the ex army character but he doesn’t really line up with anyone I have in mind so. He has been tragically cut. Such is life
ONTO THE PLOT!
Santiago brings the group together. No one tells anyone else their real name.
Then, they kidnap their mark from her luxurious Paris apartment. Everyone feels a little weird about the mark being a kid when no one was informed of that, but like.. It’s a bit too late to turn back when the kid’s knocked out in the back of your car, right? And like… she’s not a kindergartener or anything. She’s probably like… 13? A bratty little teenager with a rich dad. That’s kind of justifiable, right?
(It’s not.)
They get to a giant villa in the countryside and meet up with their contact, a white American woman named Antoinette. She tells them about how they just have to keep the mark in the house overnight while she “negotiates terms” with the father. She confiscates all their electronic devices for the “safety of the operation” and gives them almost no information. After some prodding she gives them all fake names from twilight. Then, she leaves them alone in the mansion for the night with the bursting liquor cabinet.
We get some character setup after Estelle tries to do a cold read on the others and madeline calls everything she says out as bullshit. Then estelle’s like well if that was so bad how about you try it? And then madeline reads the CRAP outta her. Then celeste asks for one and it’s spot on. Santiago’s like here’s 50 bucks if you can say ONE true thing about me. And she’s like you were an undercover cop who decided that you liked being able to hurt people even more easily and never wanted to go back to having some level of rules on you. And he’s like WELL YOU’RE A DUDE! And she’s just like wow! How original! You figured out that I Transed My Gender. Can you tell me literally one other thing about me? And he. Can’t. Because he’s not as smart as he thinks he is!
Daniel has been weirdly quiet during this, so she turns to him and she’s like hey gramps do you want one? And he’s like i would literally rather die. She’s figured out that he used to be a journalist from a few of his conversational ticks but she doesn’t point it out, because he asked for no reading and she has some manners. Unlike SOME people! She’s blunt but she’s not a total asshole.
Then, Madeline goes up to check on the mark who should be waking up from the anesthetic soon. She IS! The girl plays up being scared and hurting and madeline’s like. Well the blindfold is a LITTLE over the top. I have a mask on. This is fine. She won’t be able to ID me from a lineup like this, probably,
So she takes the mark’s blindfold off. Now that the thing is off, the girl doesn’t seem scared at all. It’s like it was just a game and she’s done with it now. No “who are you” no “what are you doing” no “are you going to hurt me?” Just a staring contest with a middle schooler.
In the briefing, they told them that the mark’s first language was English. That’s the language that Madeline starts with.
“Who are you?” Madeline asks.
The girl smiles. “I’m Claudia.”
“Your whole name.” Madeline clarifies. The kid must be someone powerful’s daughter if she’s this assured of her own safety.
“Just Claudia,” the girl tells her, “I’m not on good terms with either of my fathers right now.” Well. That gives Madeline some information at least. The girl has two fathers who are separated.
“We’re not going to hurt you,” Madeline assures her, because it feels like something she should do. It’s what she’d planned to do, coming up here.
“I know,” Claudia tells her, “you can’t hurt me.”
Madeline feels her breath catch in her chest. “We can’t?”
“You can’t.”
“And how do you know that?” Madeline asks.
“I just do.”
Madeline laughs. “Any other insight you want to give me?”
Claudia smiles brightly. “Sure. Can you tell Daniel Molloy that I didn’t like his book?” Madeline feels fear curl up even sharper in her gut. A fearless child named Claudia, two powerful fathers, and Daniel Molloy. She lives in Paris. She is very familiar with that man’s “memoir” from the absolutely exhausting American tourists obsessed with retracing the steps of the “real life” vampires chronicled in the book that killed a promising journalistic career in the 80s.
Is someone punking them? She doesn’t even let herself consider the crazier option: that everything in that book was real.
After whatever THAT interaction is, madeline corners santiago to make him give her more information. Who is this kid’s dad? Does she actually have two? Does he have any real clue who this kid is? Why does she seem unphased by being kidnapped? Why doesn't she seem like a kid at all?
He’s less than helpful, so Madeline brings her findings to the entire group. How the girl doesn’t seem phased at all by being kidnapped. How she claims she’s not on good terms with “either father”. “Just Claudia” and her strange request for Daniel Molloy.
“Okay, yeah,” the elderly hacker says, closing his laptop and standing up, “that’s my bullshit threshold. I’m getting the fuck outta here.”
“What?” Estelle asks, “but we are so close to getting our money?”
“I am not waiting around for one of Claudia’s dads,” he declares.
She frowns. “Do you know them?”
“Know them?” he asks, “uh yeah, I know them. One of them, at least. He’s not a man you wanna mess with.”
Celeste rolls her eyes. “Come on. What could make him so frightening? Truly?”
He just stares at her. “He’s a vampire.”
Estelle bursts into laughter, “Oh, what a funny old man you are! Who is he really?”
“A fucking vampire!” he repeats with wide, terrified eyes.
“Ah,” Santiago says, “you’re the Daniel Molloy. I should have known.”
Celeste frowns. “Who?”
Estelle giggles. “He wrote the gay vampire memoir! He always said it was real.”
“It was!” the guy tells them, “every fucking thing I wrote there was real. Every word. And no one believed me.” Santiago snorts.
The old man turns towards him with a deadly look in his eyes. “You think that’s funny?”
“Yes,” Santiago assures him, “I do.”
He points to a nasty, mottled scar across his neck. “Her father did this to me. I almost died. Still think it’s funny?”
“Yes,” he assures him, “with every word you speak it just gets funnier.”
“Whatever, man,” the old man mutters, “I’m getting out of here before she starts picking you fuckers off.” Then he turns to the driver. “Can I have the keys?”
“No! I’m not giving you the car keys!” Estelle declares, “we will need them to leave in the morning.”
He laughs. “None of you are making it to morning. I’m getting outta here while there's still some sun.”
“Then you will be walking,” Estelle says firmly.
“Whatever,” Daniel says, waving off the comment, “I’ll take my chances with the walk to town.”
The old man staggers out the door and into the dying evening sun, leaving his cut of 50 million dollars on the table.
“Well,” Celeste says, “more money for the rest of us.” That brings each of their counts up to 12 million dollars. Certainly enough for Madeline to give her sister a proper funeral and pay for HRT for the rest of her days.
Santiago goes to “speak” to Claudia, which is just an excuse to try to intimidate her and be mean. She lets it “slip” that she’s the daughter of a famous crime boss who has people killed by decapitating them: Lestat de Lioncourt.
He comes to give the group that information and they decide they'll take their chances. Like... sure. That makes… some sort of sense? If her father is a terrifying crime boss that could explain some of her behaviors. She’s still worried, but she tries not to let those consume her.
Claudia isn’t a vampire. She’s just… a smart young woman. Older than she looks, surely. Stunted growth, perhaps? That can happen with neglect. Perhaps she split from her fathers because of something along those lines. An undergrad student, perhaps. The team made an assumption concerning her age and Antoinette just let them go with it.
(Madeline tries not to let her mind settle too long on “Antoinette” from the book- the mistress whose position was always so precarious until she just… disappeared from the story entirely.)
She goes to speak with Claudia again to put her worries to rest. This will prove to her that this isn’t a preternatural middle school student but a shrewd university student.
When Claudia sees her, she starts speaking French. It sounds atrocious.
Madeline doesn’t bother responding in her mother tongue.
In English once again, she says, “Your French is bad.”
Claudia sticks with her atrocious French. “Really? You’d think a girl would get better after 80 years.” Four twenties, she claims.
Madeline chuckles and permits the girl a response in French. “Four twenties, you say? I will believe you’ve lived one of them, at least.”
Claudia grins as she switches back to her mother tongue. “Not buying the little girl act?”
Madeline scoffs. “You only acted as a little girl before we caught you. The moment you were here, you showed your true colors.”
“I’m a hundred year old vampire,” Claudia tells her, "a hundred twenty one to be exact."
Madeline laughs. “No, I think you are a cunning college student conning your father out of money.”
Claudia grins, maneuvering her cuffs to be slightly more comfortable. “However would I do that?”
“Stage your own kidnapping,” Madeline posits, “then scare the attackers into leaving and pocket the money."
“How would I do that, exactly?” Claudia asks. She sounds intrigued, excited to hear Madeline tell her back her own genius plan.
“You’re pretending to be the vampire Claudia from Molloy’s delusional diary,” Madeline tells her, “you hired another woman to pretend to be the vampire Antoinette. Recruited a few people that you thought would be susceptible to strange suggestions in addition to the father of the delusion itself so they’d leave. Then you get 25 million to yourself at the end.”
Madeline turns her head to finish her point and notices something.
She’s not in cuffs anymore-
Claudia’s canines slide down like a trick door, turning into fangs.
“I like you,” Claudia tells her, “I think I’ll kill you last.”
This is where “you should watch the movie if you haven’t yet” comes into full effect. The action is GREAT and I am just going to give you a brief play by play. The house seals itself into a special trap until the sun comes up. Claudia kills Estelle first- detaches her head from her body and drinks her blood. The three survivors band together for a while to try to evade her and stay alive.
The stakes rise as they try to talk about what awaits them outside of this death mansion. Santiago decides that he straight up hates her for “letting her sister die” and having the gall to Be Trans About It.
They “capture” Claudia who spends the whole time taunting them and turning them against each other. Santiago is needlessly cruel. Claudia “escapes” and Madeline realizes that she was never trapped in the first place. They engage in a Flirtatious Bonding Moment TM before the group splits again. Madeline and Santiago run off and Celeste gets left behind.
Then, Celeste gets turned into a vampiric puppet that Claudia uses to scare the shit out of them before the woman's body dies. It seems like Claudia has all of the murders in the bag until a door to a hidden room opens up and fucking Antoinette is behind it. And guess what! She WAS the mistress! She gives them some pathetic backstory bits about being a scorned lover turned by one of Claudia’s fathers a hundred years ago. Lestat, the one who turned her to be his lover, planned to kill her as a peace offering to his husband as they reunited at the temporary return of their runaway daughter. Said runaway daughter decided that she wanted to start again, completely on her own, and requested that Antoinette be allowed to live in her service since Claudia can’t make a vampire on her own. Both fathers agreed, as it made them feel better for their daughter to have someone as she ventured off into vampiric adulthood away from them. Antoinette has been forced to play errand girl to her ex-lover’s daughter for 80 years. The ex-lover that was going to kill her to return to his husband’s good graces.
So yeah. Antoinette wants to turn someone she thinks can help her defeat Claudia and then get rid of her keeper and find out how to escape somewhere that loustat can’t find her afterwards. Compassionless, mainly competent Santiago seems like a very good choice!
He is. At least… he like, takes to the gift? Pretty immediately? But he kills Antoinette because he doesn’t want to share and then Madeline realizes that she’s 100% safer with Claudia. She’d been thinking that might be the case for a while, but now she’s certain.
Madeline tries to get away from him to find Claudia and makes it to her, but they realize quickly that his size advantage is.. .real bad for her in a fight. Especially since Madeline’s like, 100% dying. He shifts the odds one more time by trying to make Madeline into a vampiric puppet like he saw Claudia do. Thankfully his hubris got the better of him and it doesn’t work. Madeline’s able to fight against it and restrain him.
Restraining him is just a temporary fix, though. Madeline is bleeding out and Claudia is trying to bring her back from the brink with her blood, but with a volatile Freshly Turned Fledgling and a dying human that claudia doesn’t WANT to die… the odds aren’t looking great for her.
That is until her father finally does come. Lestat de Lioncourt appears in all of his vampiric glory. The moment he arrives he’s separated Santiago’s head from his body.
“You’re late,” Claudia says primly.
He huffs. “Late? I wasn’t aware I was welcome until you were losing a fight with a fledgling!”
“A fledgling that your fledgling made,” Claudia says, “so really, it was your fault.” He smiles ever so slightly.
“If you had allowed me to kill Antoinette years ago, she never could have moved against you,” Lestat tells her pointedly.
Claudia shrugs an acknowledgement. “I wanted a companion. She worked alright."
He snorts. “That's what I thought when I made her, but Antoinette was a poor replacement for your father."
Claudia frowns. “Where is Daddy Lou?”
“Home,” Lestat tells her.
“What? He didn’t come help?” she sounds devastated that her father might have been reading the paper while she was being hunted.
“He closed his mind off from you,” he says, “per your request, ma petite.”
She moves her hand up to her elbow to rub gently at the viscera coating it. “Asking that of him mighta been… harsh.”
The man smile ever so slightly. “Perhaps. If you were to reopen your mind to him-”
“No,” Claudia tells him, “just havin’ your presence in there is bad enough.”
He flinches.
“But..” Claudia says, “maybe you could just… keep an eye on me, just in case?" A slight smile. “And you can both come round every once in a while, I s’pse.”
Lestat’s eyes drift over to the mortal dying on the floor. “Would you like assistance with this.. Cleanup?”
Madeline feels her heart stop in her chest. What does that mean, exactly?
“You can’t kill her,” Claudia says firmly.
Lestat turns his gaze toward back to his daughter. “And why is that?”
“She saved my life,” Claudia tells him, “and I like her. She’s interesting.”
“Hm,” he says appraisingly, “you are without a companion.” A companion. What, exactly, does that mean?
Claudia’s eyes widen. “Are you offering to make me one?”
“You cannot create one on your own,” he says, “and I will not be “coming round”- he uses air quotes, like a douche bag- “until I am invited. So. Yes. I am offering.”
Madeline tries to wrap her head around this offer, a vampiric eternity with the most interesting person that she’s met in years. Someone who understands the horror of having a body that makes people make all the wrong assumptions.
Claudia takes her hand. “Well, what do you think? How's forever sound?” There’s nothing in this world for Madeline, anymore. A dead sister and a world that doesn’t want her.
Why not join someone who might understand? It’s not like she has anything to lose. Her sister is dead and all she’s working towards are a funeral, a tombstone, and her own hormones. Why not live the way that she wants for once? “I say,” Madeline tells her, “turn me. Now.” Forever isn’t too scary when there’s someone you trust it with.

Love's Pit Crew - Social Media prequel
Story Summary: A former F2 driver is unable to continue her career in racing due to health reasons. After recovering from the crash, she goes to university to study engineering and at the same time starts to intern at the Mercedes-AMG Petronas facility in Brackley. Eventually, she climbs to the position of Aerodynamics Performance Engineer and starts appearing in the garage during races, where she first meets Bono and develops a crush on him. Her friends (Alex, Nyck, Charles, Lando and George) realize that and decide to play Cupid and get them together. The story will be about them arraigning situations in which Reader will be alone with Bono, so they can get to know each other more. The rest of the story will be written (aka - no social media AU. Ok, maybe some inserts from group chat because I enjoyed coming up with it very much). And there will be shenanigans.
Chapter Summary: A Media/Social Media blurb showing the reader's backstory and her relationships with the current F1 grid.
Pairing: none in this part. It will be Peter Bonnington x fem!reader (30yo) in the future.
Additional Characters in this chapter: Alex Albon, Nyck de Vries, Charles Leclerc, Lando Norris, and George Russell (all platonic friendships).
Rating: PG
A/N: I've spent too much time planning, researching, and making coloured graphs for everything to fit on the timeline not to put it anywhere, so here we go, I guess. I don't know yet if there will be multiple parts or just one follow-up, but if anyone wants to be tagged - please let me know in the comments under this part <3
Technical Note: It's my 1st SMAU and I was trying to find a way for it to be good quality across devices, but what looks good in the browser, looks blurry on mobile and vice versa. Because of that I am posting links to good quality versions of each of the pictures above said picture, so hopefully, everyone will be able to enjoy it :)

I think I’m at the point where i don’t want to see Echo again, and if you didn’t know Echo is my favorite character. I just want him to disappear with Cody to have their fates left up to us.
I’ll be honest i don’t trust the writers to do them justice at this point. They’ve made it very clear that they don’t care about Echo, and Cody was always a background character even in the clone wars. I went into this season expecting Echo to die (i think most of us did) but now i think it will just piss me off.
We’ve had one episode with Echo in it so far, I’m not counting the two episodes where he plays cab driver. Regardless of if you think Tech’s alive or not, you have to admit he had a good send off, it was built up the entire season. He had character development multiple episodes that focused on him even if some were filler. Echo hasn’t had that, so if they do kill him after being sidelined practically this entire show, what’s the point.
He’d be boiled down to a plot device (which i can argue the writers already have done). What purpose does he have but to hurt omega and the audience? I think that’s a big disservice to those of us that have been following his character since Rookies aired, to those of us that held the torch of him surviving after the citadel. I was there, i did my time on ff.net writing Echo survival stories, hell i found out he survived from my story blowing up with comments about if i saw the video.
Now again i wasn’t against him dying but i don’t think it’ll have the same emotional impact anymore. The writing this season has been so inconsistent and i think the show and characters are suffering for it. It’s really noticeable with Omega, the entire time she was on Tantiss she didn’t seem to care about anyone except Crosshair, Batcher, and Emerie (don’t even get me started on her). But the minute she sees Echo again (someone she knows cares about the regular clones) she’s upset about leaving them. Not one mention of them on Tantiss, doesn’t try to help them (i know she couldn’t have that’s not my point). Throughout the entire show the only one to care about them is Echo and the show itself is inconsistent on are they using stun bolts or not, oh they are but they’re also firing cannons at them????
I just don’t think the writers know where they want to take their characters, and plots are just pulled out of nowhere without any build up. This season started out with the potential of being my favorite but as it’s gone on I’ve just found myself disappointed.

Stray Thoughts: For Want of a Buckle
If I ever end up writing a modern zpoc or monster apocalypse, there’s one nonstandard item I’m adding to my main character’s survival gear to up their chances. A bottle of compressed air.
Long story short: I have a vehicle old enough to vote, a seatbelt buckle that’s been getting increasingly dodgy about latching, and not a lot to spare for sudden mechanic issues. I was looking at the fact of, if the buckle decided not to function at all, that would be extremely unsafe driving. Including to work where I need to get so my bills are paid... you see where this was going.
(“And all for want of a horseshoe nail” going through your head? Yeah, it was going through mine too.)
Fortunately one of the skills a canny writer develops is how to search for information. Specifically I looked for why a buckle would be stubborn about latching, and what might fix those causes. If the mechanism was flat worn out? Well, that’d be a “take it to the mechanic/whoever fixes that and eat the cost”.
But if the buckle was just partly jammed, by a tiny pebble or other debris in there....
Reddit and YouTube suggestions included grease, WD-40, and compressed air. I had my doubts on grease, since the tongue of the buckle wasn’t jamming. And WD-40 in a buckle whose casing was mostly plastic sounded like it had Bad Idea written all over it. Though it might be viable for even older cars whose buckle parts are all metal!
Compressed air struck me as a “first, do no harm” option. So. We had some, for dealing with keyboards. I absconded with it.
First spray into the buckle? Eh. It took slightly less long to click than it had. But slightly was still less, so I picked another angle into the buckle and tried again.
It took about five different applications at all possible angles into the buckle. But for the first time in years, I put the tongue in and it clicked the first time.
...They probably heard my sigh of relief a block away.
How does this apply to writing a zpoc? Think about modern cars. One of the zpoc staples is the Desperate Survivor stumbling onto an abandoned vehicle and starting it to get away in the nick of time. But why was the vehicle abandoned in the first place, yet still in drivable condition? It’s obviously not out of gas!
I know some cars like this exist now, and I’d bet there would be more in the fictional near future of a zpoc: there are cars that won’t start unless the driver’s seat belt is buckled.
Knock a little debris into the buckle? Yeah, the last owner of this car got munched.
Not to mention all electronics are going to take a beating in zpoc conditions. Our tech and communications, our ability to organize an intelligent defense, are our advantage against the mindless hordes. Compressed air to clean devices out might be life or death!

Writing Character Device Driver
Writing Character Device Driver - A Linux character device driver allows user programs to interact with hardware devices by reading or writing data one character at a time. Developing such drivers requires understanding the Linux kernel's structure, APIs, and coding practices.

Linux Kernel APIs and Key Concepts
The kernel provides APIs like register_chrdev() and alloc_chrdev_region() for registering character devices. Each device is identified by major and minor numbers, enabling the kernel to associate device files with their respective drivers.
File Operations and Device Registration
Drivers implement a set of file operations (struct file_operations) to define how the kernel handles user interactions, such as opening, reading, and writing the device. Properly registering the device using functions like cdev_add() ensures integration with the kernel.
Challenges in Development
Writing device drivers involves challenges like managing hardware-specific quirks, maintaining thread safety, and ensuring synchronization using mechanisms like mutexes, spinlocks, and semaphores. Compatibility across kernel versions and varying hardware specifications adds complexity.
Coding Standards and Security
Linux emphasizes clean, maintainable code. Following the kernel coding style and using the required headers ensures compliance. Security practices, such as validating user inputs and minimizing kernel attack surfaces, are critical in driver development.
Testing and Documentation
Thorough testing with tools like kmod and insmod is crucial. Developers must document interfaces, supported hardware, and usage instructions to aid users and maintainers.
Future Trends
With advancements in hardware, Linux device drivers will increasingly focus on improved modularity, real-time performance, and compatibility with modern interfaces like PCIe and USB 4.0.
By adhering to Linux's guidelines and practices, developers can create robust character device drivers that meet the needs of modern systems.

Strange Days (Kathryn Bigelow, 1995)
Strange Days (Kathryn Bigelow, 1995) is a science fiction thriller set in Los Angeles during the last two days of 1999. With the general consensus being that the end of the world is imminent: Los Angeles has devolved into a warzone of debauchery, violence, and crime. The film centers around ex-cop Lenny, who deals SQUID devices on the black market. SQUIDS are illegal devices that record peoples’ physical sensations and memories from their cerebral cortex onto a mini CD disc that allows them to be played back and experienced by anyone.
Lenny’s ex-girlfriend Faith’s friend Iris ends up recording police murdering black rapper and activist Jeriko One. The audience has only briefly been introduced to Jeriko via a speech he gives on television protesting the police state that Los Angeles has fallen into and pushing for peace. Since Jeriko’s character is not further developed before he is killed, he exists as more of a symbolic placeholder for all of the innocent black people that police have murdered. Iris is then chased by police but ends up getting the tape to Lenny before she is brutally raped and murdered. Lenny and his driver/bodyguard/friend Mace (who is also in love with him) then have to run from everyone who’s trying to kill them and Mace gets the tape of the murder to the police commissioner.
It’s interesting that even in this apocalyptic, end-of-the-world setting, racially motivated violence and police brutality are still prominent. Bigelow has discussed in interviews being motivated to begin production following impactful incidents in the 90’s such as the Lorena Bobbit trial and the Rodney King verdict and the riots that followed in 1992. Multiple of the characters in Strange Days are overtly racist (ie. the cops/murderers), but more subtle racism also permeates throughout. When trying to figure out how to get the video of Jeriko’s murder to the public, Mace and Lenny go to Lenny’s “friend” Max (who will turn out to be an awful person) for help. Max says simply that Lenny and Mace should not show the tape because there will be riots. In this moment Max is willing to silence the story of police murdering a black man to avoid causing a more than warranted uprising.
Bigelow seems to have intentionally sought to explore the intersection between race and gender as she stated that she created Mace’s character to examine "valuable connections between female victimisation and racial oppression." Mace proves to be stronger and more confident than Lenny; she repeatedly saves their lives and gets them out of tricky situations, yet she is still reduced to the role of his bodyguard/driver, and not given much of a story outside of Lenny’s world. At one point when they are in the car, she points out this dynamic saying “driving Mr. Lenny,” a reference to the film Driving Ms. Daisy (Bruce Beresford, 1989). Mace is additionally in love with Lenny because he stepped in and helped her take care of her son when the kid’s father was no longer around. Despite Mace being a strong, smart, and badass, black woman, her story is somewhat reduced to being the white man’s sidekick. She is also in love with Lenny for the entire film and when they eventually kiss at the end, it feels like she has now only existed to be his love interest.

Recent Reading and Watching
This is How You Lose the Time War surprised me with the identity of the Seeker; mid-book I thought there might be another operative tailing them, or a Purple child, or a third side to this war. That last prediction was quite close!
Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn - Bande Dessinee Episode: 0 wasn't particularly thrilling, but I value it because it fills out the characters of Full Frontal and Angelo Sauper, and how the Zeonist public sees things before the initiation of the Third Neo Zeon War, aka The Laplace Incident.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars has been good through season 7; I ned to track down season 8 to see if they later appearance of Ashoka in Star Wars Rebels makes any sense.
Legend of Galactic Heroes: I have finally finished this. RIP to a legend, but we all knew that the death flag for the last person to die was waved at the end of the third season. Rubinsky's end was also fitting: reflecting of how he was no longer part of the plot, he was also no longer part of politics. His last gasp felt irrelevant, and really was.
Pacific Rim: The Black is a 3dcg film that's reminiscent of RWBY and Dragon Prince in style, but with the same Ramin Djiwadi soundtrack, and some neat twists that really delve into the fridge horror of the setting. But this is a kids' show, so there's little blood, the decapitations happen out of frame, and the heads don't roll too far. Episode 7 has a nice "it's dangerous to go alone; take this" moment.
Computing
A 2.1A powerbank is not enough to stably power a Pi 1 B+ with a 4.0" square Hyperpixel Touch display and a wireless keyboard. Big Sad. Next question is if a PiSugar 3 battery controller will work with a Pi 1 B+ or if I should splurge $75 on a Pi 4 for this device.
I'd like to have a mobile compute terminal that's smaller than a 13" laptop, but still has USB ports. Scrollwheel and a button to toggle the OSK would also be nice.
Primary nonwork laptop's keyboard continues to degrade; It's becoming a desk item. Its degradation is the primary driver of the new palmtop development.
Actually, wait, I have a spare CM4 from a StereoPi 2 device. I could use that, with a compatible breakout board maybe. Or I could test the Hyperpixel screen on the Stereopi board directly. Then I'd have a 4" touchscreen mated to a … 5" wide board? Well, it'll at least let me test some things, like whether the CM4 works for this use case. Bonus dual cameras is a questionable bonus.
Crafting
KInda burnt out on crafting, tbh. Last two weeks were full of crunch before Pemmi-Con/NASFiC, which netted me a "Judge's Choice in Novice Class" award and "Best Use of Modern Tech" in the Masquerade competition.
Next up, over @glowingskull, I plan to post rundowns of the stuff I made, and maybe some shapefiles, but there's a lot of work left in this costume and I plan to redo large parts of the headgear.
Because, let's be honest, the post-con todo list for that costume is basically:
Better photographs?
Write up the project
Print off a holder for these parts, because I'm retiring them to mount on the wall
Redesign snout, again, to remove grilles and double-thicken all the parts
Resculpt temples and ears of skull
Put a visor in the eye holes
Eye-lights in visor?
Enclose head: back of skull, ventilation, neck sock
Redo the flame staff's camera monopod mount attachment point for durability (may require welding?)
Sculpt a model for the chestpiece, so it's plastic instead of foam
Sculpt a model for arm bracers
And then on top of that I also want to:
Document the Servicer outfit
Sew on a Masonic patch for the Servicer outfit
Build some DIY NVGs for use in costume projects like this one
Write up the Baba Yaga's Hut costume which won Best In Show
I think my next costume goal, after the revised Turaga Vakama, will be an Earth Federation Space Forces officer uniform, so I can give the planned "WTF is Zeon" lectures in character.
The next head goal will be a Deinonychus head with articulated jaw, which requires advancements in augmented reality. Need to get the StereoPi working, or ditch/sell it and switch to paired NVG monocles.
Music
I think it's time for Pacific Rim soundtracks. Pacific Rim: The Black sounds somewhere between the Pacific Rim movies' soundtracks and the tense violin work from the 2009 Sherlock Holmes movie with RDJ and Jude Law, soundtrack by Hans Zimmer. Not particularly Australian, unfortunately.
Lego Stuff
Gotta merge the two submarine kits, and build the Emperor's Throne Room that I won at pinball at Pemmi-Con.
#this is how you lose the time war#spoilers#pemmi con#nasfic#pacific rim: the black#legend of galactic heroes#the tuesday again no problem expanded universe and spinoffs

VR VFX studio
What a VR VFX Studio Brings to Immersive Experience Development
Overview of a VR VFX Studio’s Role
A VR VFX studio specializes in creating visual effects specifically for virtual reality environments. These studios focus on producing dynamic, immersive visuals that respond in real time to user input, movement, and interaction. The visual effects in VR must support 360-degree navigation, stereoscopic depth, and real-time rendering—all while maintaining realism and performance across a variety of devices. The goal is to enhance the user’s sense of presence inside virtual spaces through tailored, reactive VFX design.
Unlike traditional post-production studios, a VR VFX studio works within the framework of real-time engines, building visuals that are experienced interactively instead of passively viewed. This shift from linear to immersive content changes how VFX are conceived, structured, and deployed, making technical precision and optimization central to the development process.
Services Offered by VR VFX Studios
VR VFX studios typically offer a wide range of services designed to support immersive content creation from concept to execution. These include spatial VFX design, particle systems for environmental effects, custom shader development, and real-time animation for interactive scenarios. Lighting, shadow simulation, and volumetric rendering are tailored for full-scene immersion.
A key aspect is interactive VFX scripting—developing visual responses triggered by user actions such as gaze, motion, gesture, or voice. For instance, sparks may fly when an object is touched, or fog may move as the user walks through a scene. Studios also focus on VR-specific requirements such as maintaining consistent frame rates, stereo depth alignment, and ensuring comfort by avoiding effects that could cause disorientation.
In addition, they provide cross-platform deployment, adjusting visuals to perform smoothly across different VR systems, including tethered headsets, standalone devices, and mobile VR solutions.
Industry Use of VR Visual Effects
VR VFX studios support industries far beyond entertainment. In healthcare, they help design surgical training modules that replicate real-world procedures with accurate tissue behavior and biological effects. In education, VFX brings to life interactive 3D models of historical events, scientific processes, or technical systems, making learning more engaging.
Architectural firms rely on VR effects to simulate lighting shifts, environmental changes, or material transitions within virtual walkthroughs. The manufacturing and automotive sectors use VFX to enhance VR prototyping, assembly training, and safety simulations.
Entertainment remains a major driver, with VR games, cinematic experiences, and theme park attractions all demanding high-end VFX for realism and narrative depth. Here, VFX simulate anything from magical environments and futuristic cities to photorealistic recreations of historical settings.
Tools and Technology in Use
VR VFX studios primarily work within real-time engines like Unreal Engine and Unity, which offer extensive support for immersive content development. These engines enable the integration of GPU-based visual effects, advanced lighting systems, and dynamic scene rendering.
Artists use a range of 3D modeling, simulation, and texturing tools to build detailed assets. These include sculpting software for characters, physics engines for destruction or fluid simulation, and procedural generation tools for landscapes and weather systems.
Optimization tools ensure visual performance meets the high frame rate requirements of VR hardware, while debugging tools help fine-tune user experience issues such as latency or stereoscopic distortion. VFX teams also integrate motion capture and spatial tracking data to align visuals with real-world inputs.
Evolving Scope of VR VFX Studios
As virtual reality continues to grow, VR VFX studios are taking on increasingly complex and interactive projects. Trends include AI-generated environmental effects, integration with haptic feedback systems, and cloud-based rendering for scalable performance. Studios are also exploring hybrid experiences that combine VR with real-world elements through sensor input and mixed reality integration.
The growing demand for rich, believable VR content positions these studios at the center of innovation in immersive technology. Their work not only defines how users perceive virtual environments but also shapes how industries deliver training, storytelling, and digital experiences in a fully immersive format.
