can i just say one of the reasons i loveee trt so much is because you do have little filler arcs, and they're incredible. matt and jane getting their asses kicked by geese remains a personal highlight of the sidequests 🪿

THANK YOU SO MUCH, I love my little filler bits, I have a running list of them that I pull from, I feel like they're such a good way to both give readers a breather from the heavier, angstier arcs and to show our babies bonding even when the stakes are a bit lower. These lighter moments are what keep them going!

Well, the goose ass kicking less specifically kept them going. They wound up a little roughed up over that one, but WE got to enjoy it, and that's what mattered. 😂

Okay, so, genuine question. How does the food chain work in the world of Uprooted? Because the people are all cute critters, including animals that people irl have a tendency to eat (like rabbits, chickens, ducks, etc). Is it a sort of cartoon like situation, where some of the animals are sentient, and others are not? If that’s the case then would it be commonplace for, say, a rabbit to eat rabbit stew? Or would it still technically be considered cannibalism? Because not all the critters are herbivores. We got carnivores, like cats, dogs, etc. And sure, they may not constantly eat meat, but I imagine they mostly do.

Also, at what point does an animal stop being sentient? All the characters thus far have been fairly small-medium sized critters, so I assume larger animal—like, say, a horse—wouldn’t be sentient. Unless it follows Peppa Pig rules, where some large animals are sentient and some aren’t. But then what about smaller critters, like a blue jay? Are they all sentient, or only some of them (like Blue Jay Simpson)?

These are all very important questions for my immersion, even though I imagine that literally none of this pertains to the plot of Uprooted (whatever that may be)

actually a lot of jinki duos and moments in general don't get attention and it makes me kinda sad, but it is what it is. I just wish some of those moments could go viral so that more people could see what type of person he is but it hardly ever happens nowadays. I know twitter viralability doesn't really mean anything at the end of the day, but it's just frustrating because I know so many of these moments would've taken off if it were between other members (I hope no one takes this as hate against the other members, this is more my frustration with the fandom not really paying attention to jinki and misinterpreting his interactions with the members like you said)
