DONT LIMIT YOURSELF

Your manifestation can get externalized in infinite ways (based on your beliefs)
Do u want white teeth?
- you might wake up with it
- you might get the money to book an appointment with your dentist
- You might get an offer out of thin air
- etc
So stop beating yourself up over the process and movement
Your life and circumstances are unique to you.
If someone "manifests" $5000 within 5 minutes, IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ME or with any of my desires because I know that I will have mine and even better.
And YES you getting the money and booking an appointment with your dentist to whiten your teeth is a success story too.
Live your life! Live your best life!
And the same thing goes with appearance changes.
Ask yourself, "What would it be like to have my desired body? How would I feel if I had my desired white teeth?" Stop TRYING and start BEING
Maybe you want a new nose
- someone might offer you a free rhinoplasty or your body might make specific changes & many more
Just because you got an appointment and had a procedure done doesn't erase the fact that it was also a huge success story.
Be proud of yourself and celebrate your achievements.

just endlessly amused by the director of analytics for the habs being deemed a jock-to-nerd interpreter by his tech guy on an analytics panel. hell yeah bruther thats your Director he rearranges the beautiful signs and symbols and gives them to the coach in a way that wont cause you all to be thrown out . these conversations must be mediated by someone who can understand jockspeak AND number

Instead of writing a car accident scene for a fic, I have accidentally written a crime thriller with @ihavenousername1 in a post’s comment section.
Someone hurts Henry, and Beard is ready to enact one of his (many) elaborate revenge plans . He didn’t count on Roy wanting to be right there with him. Or Trent trying to create an alibi. Or Mae contributing to the alibi. Or Roy, covered in paint and feathers explaining it to the team as “Tartt training.”
Jamie, unwittingly made a co-conspirator, is all “Just Roy things, innit?” Without contradicting anything Roy says.
Beard “You’ve made Jamie an accessory after the fact. But his chaos makes for a good cover. Just got to commit to the bit.” And Jamie asks no questions about why paint and feathers have entered semi-regularly into their training regime.
Trent is writing past diary entries about how him and the coaches regularly hang out doing meditations in the middle of the night. He knew leaving random blank pages would come in handy.
Ted feels guilty that he doesn’t feel guilty about the person who hurt his boy having had something befall him. He has no idea what’s happened or is happening. That’s just how Beard has always planned it.
#jamie tartt#roy kent#ted lasso#coach beard#willis beard#trent crimm#more like trent crime amirite?#jamie’s canonical chaotic good alignment#roy’s canonical unhinged training jamie methods#if a crime happens and no one can pin it on afc richmond did a crime actually happen at all?

Hey Tumblr! My Algebra ll teacher has a line of her own merch, (the Hogue Smiley), and she mentioned in class that it'd be great if it could spread because she'd love for this memorization method she made to be widespread. :)

Here's the post she made on Google Classroom. So, if anyone is bored and would like to make her day, it'd be appreciated. I'm sure she'd be super excited. She is my favorite teacher and by far probably the teacher who loves her job the most. She seemed very excited when we started using the Hogue Smiley.

Here's the Hogue Smiley method, you square, multiply, and square again. It's honestly such a wonderful memorization method. She also loves it because then she'll see smiley faces all over peoples homework.

And hey, if this gets enough attention for people to care enough, this is the Hogue Smiley instagram, (yes, there's a shop. And yes, she takes suggestions on different kinds of merch if she can make it work...shhh, don't tell her I sent you 👀):

Parents also had much to say about teachers, and some of the comments by teachers echoed the parents. For example, people complained that teachers are trained how to teach but not what to teach: that a large number of physics and chemistry teachers have no degree in physics or chemistry and are 'uncomfortable and incompetent' in teaching science; that teachers themselves have too much science and maths anxiety; that they resist being asked questions, or they answer, 'It's in the book. Look it up.' Some complained that the biology teacher was a 'Creationist'; some complained that he wasn't. Among other comments by or about teachers:
We are breeding a collection of half-wits.
It's easier to memorize than to think. Kids have to be taught to think.
The teachers and curricula are 'dumbing down' to the lowest common denominator.
Why is the basketball coach teaching chemistry?
Abandon tenure in schools and colleges. Get rid of the deadwood.
My joy in teaching was repeatedly thwarted by militaristic-type principals.
Teachers should be rewarded on the basis of performance - especially student performance on standardized, nationwide tests, and improvements in student performance on such tests from one year to the next.
Teachers are stifling our children's minds by telling them they're not 'smart' enough - for example, for a career in physics. Why not give the students a chance to take the course?
My son was promoted even though he's reading two grade levels behind the rest of his class. The reason given was social, not educational. He'll never catch up unless he's left back.
Science should be required in all school (and especially high school) curricula. It should be carefully coordinated with the math courses the students are taking at the same time.
Schools could easily give much more recognition and rewards to kids who are outstanding in science and math. Why don't they? Why not special jackets with school letters? Announcements in assembly and the school newspaper and the local press? Local industry and social organizations could give special awards. This costs very little and could overcome peer pressure not to excel.
Headstart is the single most effective program for improving children's understanding of science and everything else.

Oh I don’t think I’ve ever talked about my cursèd memorization technique on here. Okay here we go this is my memorization table

I call this the Fuck You Memory Boy technique it’s the only form of memorization that’s ever worked reliably for me and I hate hate hate it so much. Basically you can memorize something on short notice in anywhere from an hour to a day depending on how long the passage is but it is a rather lengthy process no matter what so watch out. You can do it in under a day but the seconds will feel like hours.
As you can see from the table there are fifteen boxes, don’t let this fool you because each of the boxes actually holds five tally marks so yes you have to read whatever it is you’re memorizing 75 times. I don’t like it but it works. First you read whatever it is aloud five times off of a piece of paper, and make a tally mark at the [1, aided] box for each time. Then you can move horizontally (this is not intuitive at all) to the ‘semi’ column where you read the thing five times again but this time from memory, except you have the paper and you’re allowed to reference it if you get stuck which you most likely will. Then you move to the memory column, here you are absolutely required to do it from memory, I’m serious, leave the room or screw your eyes shut or something but you can’t reference the paper until you’ve been standing there for at least 60 seconds trying to remember your next line and cursed at least twice.
When you’ve done that five times you move into round two, where you repeat the exact same steps starting from five rounds of ‘aided’ to five rounds of ‘memory’. This will feel equally like a fire ant colony is eating your brain except now ‘aided’ is worse and boring now because you’re reasonably confident in your ability to do this from memory, but I promise you you have to do more than one round for it to really set in. Repeat this process for three more rounds, or 5 rounds in total, or a grand total of having read this thing 75 times aloud to yourself or an incredibly patient friend.
Okay now you should have something memorized. If you’re like, now it’ll really stick in my brain NOPE think again this knowledge disappears about a month after you need it so you do have to refresh this periodically. This part may not apply if you’re a stage actor repeating lines every night for months because hopefully then they’ll be well and truly in your blood but no promises. Enjoy the Fuck You Memory Boy Technique, this one goes out to everyone who got told by debate coaches/school theatre directors/random people that they should use the Mind Palace Technique and then found out that that shit doesn’t work
#under a read more because this is LONG and reading about this is almost as torturous as using the method#also record yourself reciting the thing and listen to it before you go to sleep. that one curtoswy of my mock trial coaches

Negative Habits to Avoid for UPSC Preparation
Imagine preparing for the UPSC exam is like setting off on a thrilling adventure. But just like any adventure, there are challenges to overcome. It takes a lot of hard work, sticking to your goals, and having a good plan. But, sometimes, even if you're really trying your best, you might find yourself doing things that could make it harder for you to succeed. In this guide, we'll explore common negative habits faced by UPSC aspirants and provide straightforward solutions to overcome them. By implementing these simple strategies, aspirants can navigate through challenges effectively and achieve success in their UPSC journey.
Procrastination - Putting Off Tasks
Procrastination is when we delay tasks or waste time on unimportant things. Many UPSC aspirants struggle with procrastination, which can lead to missed study sessions and last-minute pressure.
To overcome procrastination, break your study tasks into smaller, manageable parts. To create a sense of urgency, establish particular deadlines for every task. By taking small steps consistently, you can avoid procrastination and stay on track with your study schedule.
“You may delay, but time will not.”
― Benjamin Franklin
There are always distractions, if you allow them! Successful people remain optimistic and concentrated on their goals regardless of their surroundings. They stay focused. They avoid getting distracted, which is common in today's digital world. Social media, notifications, and other distractions can easily divert our attention away from studying.
To avoid distractions, create a dedicated study space that is free from potential distractions. Turn off notifications on your phone and use productivity tools to block distracting websites. Set specific times for studying and avoid multitasking. By minimizing distractions, you can improve focus and productivity during your study sessions.
Distractions - Losing Focus
“Work is hard. Distractions are plentiful. And time is short.”
― Adam Hochschild
Lack of Consistency
Consistency is really important for doing well in UPSC preparation. It’s key to success. However, many aspirants struggle to maintain a consistent study routine.
To overcome this, establish a daily study schedule and stick to it religiously. Make sure you stick to your study schedule and give it more importance than other things. Set realistic goals for each study session and keep checking how well you're doing. By making studying a habit and sticking to a consistent routine, you can maximize your productivity and progress in your UPSC preparation.
“Success isn't always about greatness. It's about consistency.
Consistent hard work leads to success. Greatness will come.”
― Dwayne Johnson
Neglecting Health and Adequate Sleep
UPSC preparation can be mentally and physically demanding, and many aspirants neglect their health in pursuit of their goals. However, neglecting your health can have negative consequences on your ability to study effectively. Sleep is essential for cognitive function, memory retention, and overall well-being. However, many aspirants neglect their sleep in favor of studying late into the night. This can lead to sleep deprivation, which can impair your ability to focus, concentrate, and retain information.
To prioritize your health, make sure to get an adequate amount of sleep each night. Aim for at least 7-8 hours of sleep to ensure that your mind and body are well-rested. In addition, make time for regular exercise and physical activity to reduce stress and improve overall well-being. Finally, don't forget to eat a balanced diet and stay hydrated to fuel your body and brain for studying.
Relying on One Study Method
Every aspirant has their own preferred study method, whether it's reading, taking notes, or practicing past papers. However, relying solely on one study method can limit your learning and comprehension.
To overcome this, try diversifying your study methods to engage different parts of your brain. For example, if you're used to reading, try incorporating more visual aids or discussing concepts with peers. Try out various methods of studying until you discover which one suits you the most. By diversifying your study methods, you can improve your understanding and retention of the material.
Negative self-talk can be dangerous to your confidence and motivation. Many aspirants struggle with self-doubt and fear of failure, which can hold them back from reaching their full potential.
To overcome negative self-talk, practice self-compassion and positive affirmations. Instead of focusing on your shortcomings, celebrate your achievements and strengths. Be around friends and family who support you and have faith in your skills. By cultivating a positive mindset and practicing self-love, you can overcome self-doubt and achieve success in your UPSC journey.
Negative Self-Talk - Self-Doubt
"One important key to success is self-confidence.
An important key to self-confidence is preparation."
― Arthur Ashe
Trying to Read Everything
UPSC aspirants are often overwhelmed by the sheer volume of reading material available. Many aspirants feel pressured to read every book and resource on a given topic, leading to stress and burnout.
To overcome this, focus on quality over quantity when it comes to reading. Prioritize essential books and resources that cover the core concepts and topics of the UPSC syllabus. Take notes as you read to help reinforce your understanding and retention of the material. Remember, it's better to thoroughly understand a few key concepts than to skim/go through numerous resources without grasping the core concepts.
Disorganization can hinder your ability to study effectively and efficiently. Many aspirants struggle to keep track of study materials, deadlines, and important dates.
To overcome this, create a study schedule and organize your study materials in a systematic manner. Use folders, binders, or digital tools to keep your study materials organized and easily accessible. Break down your study schedule into smaller, manageable tasks and set deadlines for each task. By staying organized, you can reduce stress and improve productivity in your UPSC preparation.
Lack of Organization
“For every minute spent organizing, an hour is earned.”
― Benjamin Franklin
Misplaced Study Groups
Study groups can be a valuable resource for UPSC aspirants, providing support, motivation, and shared knowledge. However, not all study groups are created equal, and some aspirants may find themselves in study groups that are not conducive to effective studying.
To overcome this, choose study partners wisely and find individuals who are serious and committed to their UPSC goals. Look for study groups or forums where you can engage with like-minded aspirants who share your dedication and enthusiasm for UPSC preparation. By surrounding yourself with supportive and motivated study partners, you can enhance your learning and stay on track with your UPSC goals.
Overcoming negative habits is essential for UPSC aspirants to succeed in their journey. By implementing simple strategies such as breaking tasks into smaller parts, minimizing distractions, maintaining consistency, prioritizing health, diversifying learning methods, fostering a positive mindset, finding a balance between work and study, focusing on quality reading, staying organized, choosing study partners wisely, using the internet judiciously, and prioritizing sleep, aspirants can navigate through challenges effectively and achieve success in their UPSC preparation. Remember, success in the UPSC examination requires dedication, perseverance, and a willingness to overcome obstacles. Keep pushing forward, stay focused on your goals, and believe in yourself—victory is within reach!
