deeply refreshing to see someone critical of Swift who also like, genuinely likes her. Like i'm neutral to positive on her, but the online discourse has been absolutely rancid. flipping between "Taylor Swift has never done anything wrong ever and she's a fucking genius" and "Taylor Swift is the worst lyricist of all time and also a bad person" is exhausting, so thank you for like. nuance or something lmao

not to make it serious for a sec but i genuinely think that being able to like things that are bad is really important. like I think that it's an important skill to be able to look at something and see what you personally enjoy about it and then take a step back and acknowledge that objectively it's flawed. and to also be able to acknowledge that liking something isn't necessarily an identity or a moral stance. and i think that fandom space in general could really benefit from more people taking the time to learn how to do that. it's okay to like things that are bad

Homeless Family Has Rent & Deposit Covered! Just Need Move In Expenses!

My family has been on the streets for 2 years living in a breaking down truck, recently we got the opportunity to rent a basement suite, we were able to rise the despoit and yesterday we were able to rise the rent money we needed! We still have some paperwork to work out, but things are looking promising!

Now we are rising funds to help us get from living in a truck into the suite, we need gas to move items from storage, we need to cover end of month bills we always have and we need to keep surviving with food in our bellies, we'll also need to buy things when we move in like basic foos supplies like flour and air mattressess so we can be slightly more comfortable

Not sleeping with men does not make lesbians, aka female homosexuals, misogynists. Not sleeping with men is not misogyny. Lesbians do not have to sleep with men. It is great to be relieved and overjoyed that misogynistic, homophobic, society that views females as nothing more than reproductive resources hasn't successfully coerced you into "letting" a man rape you. It is great to not be coerced or forced to "let" a man rape you. No one is "twisting your words;" you used them clearly, precisely, concisely, and directly.

Every lesbian who has "slept with" (aka: "'consented' to sex with") a man was coerced. Coercion cannot be consent. Force is not consent, either. Successful coercion is rape; failed coercion is sexual harassment and often sexual assault.

We do not have to be raped to not be misogynists. We do not owe you being raped to be not deemed all misogynists.

A lesbian who has been raped, by method of coercion or force, is a gold star, just as a lesbian who has not been. A woman who sleeps with men because she's attracted to them is not a lesbian.

Homeless Family Scammed, Now Trying To Recover & Get Housed In NOV

My homeless family was scammed by a subletter, we do know her but that didn't stop her from taking 1200$ CAD in a deposit & half a months rent so we could move in on the 19th Sep, and then repeatedly switching the dates further & further making it obvious that she had lied about when we could get in, at this point we asked for our money back so we could look for a place, she then ghosted us.

So now we are trying to rise funds to replace what was stolen so we can get a place for November and so we can survive, we hadn't been planning on still being on the streets, which are expensive as hell & with the mix of end of month bills & colder weather meaning more gas to stay warm in our breaking down truck we're gonna need all the money we can get.

One sliver lining is that we still have the money we rised for rent online which my previous post was rising, so if we can rise deposit (1200$) and the funds to survive longer on the street (The rest of the amount) then we can get into a place with enough money for lead time for things like employment.
