I did make a to view visual with myself showing the correct way but it's always good to have all the angles, please read what he has to say down below and share with your fellow lad that may help and improves their bench pressing in achieving their fitness goals! - - "The Bench Press is a full body, compound exercise. It works your chest, shoulders and triceps most snd it’s the most effective exercise to gain upper-body strength and muscle mass because it’s the upper-body exercise you’ll lift most weight on. The bigger your bench, the bigger your chest, we all know that. ⁣ ⁣ To be able to do this though, it's extremely important to make sure everything's done 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭.⁣ ⁣ When it comes to gripping the bar, first of all you want to have your thumb around the bar in order to not only increase the safety of the exercise, but also because it allows your wrists not to be excessively extended. This alone can be a cause of elbow & wrist injuries retaled to bench pressing, which simply make the exercise impossible to perform due to the discomfort. ⁣ Therefore: Holding the bar in the base of your palm, close to your wrists, with a thumbful grip, allowing all the joints to be stacked under the barbell. This will set up will generate the most amount of force. I recently conducted a poll on #autoregulation, as it'll be the basis of the new intermediate level #powerbodybuilding program I'm experimenting with. I used my own judgement to decide the amount of sets and reps when I perform the major #compoundmovements depending on whether I'm in a light, medium or heavy week. So here, on this heavy week, I decided to perform 300x5x1. This is 85% of my 1RM and perhaps, the next time I go heavy, I'll try to reach higher if I feel I can. My shoulders and upper back tend to be the areas that need the most work with regards to strengthening. . I'm just three weeks I've seen such improvements with these reverse flys! Week one I literally had to use NO WEIGHT and I was dying.. Last week I could use 5# for half the sets and this week I rocked those 5# dumbbells for EVERY single set! . Training after getting over a sinus headache is not cool. Happens to me around this time. All the time. But I made no excuses and, while this workout took a little longer than it should've thanks to it, I still got it done. I talk from time to time about the importance of #legdrive in #compoundmovements and today was proof that it helps. If it wasn't for me SQUEEZING the life out of my #glutes and #quads I don't think I would hit that last rep on this 110lb #overheadpress. First time on a LONG time that I hit three reps! This ended with #20repsquats at 185lbs. It wasn't easy, but it's not supposed to be. It's a very brutal exercise, but that exactly why it's so effective. I decided to hop back into the program I recently finished because I truly ENJOYED the workouts and I LOVED the results I got from it! . . I love this phase of the program because it's so focused on compound movements that target the whole body. I used to have to modify this exercise A LOT but I stuck with it and now it's easier...
