The weird thing where it turns your normal photos into a parallax hologram is just incredible – slightly broken but when you see it in action, it actually is amazing.

I went ahead and installed the developer preview on my iPad.

Holy crap guys (non-gender specific), that glass effect is incredible when you see it in person. The new reader mode which will read the screen for you when you make the gesture is pretty solid, and the new voice clone is really nice.

The journalling app finally let you use the pencil so that you can write, and there's now a dedicated phone app for handling all of the phone calls that are being piped in from your iPhone.

One of the big features is that preview, the app, has been imported from the desktop. Apple seems to think that this is mainly going to be for annotating PDF files, but it's also an incredibly good way to grab a picture or a screenshot, and then crop it and add text or captions or other items – or just resizing an image without having to send it to the Photos app.

Even better, the ambient background sound list got a major upgrade: More rain sounds, steam, boats, busses and trains and a "babble" option to add a coffee shop vibe... Plus an EQ so you can tweak it for bass or treble and smooth out those jagged audio parts.

On the phone side, which I haven't tried because I need my phone to be 100% working, they added a call screening option.

This is very different from a scammer or spam blacklist. It means if somebody calls you the phone will say to them "who are you? Why are you calling?" - then it will use the dictation system to turn that into text and then display that to you so that you can decide whether you actually want to pick the call up.

In addition with the already existing presets for saying I'm busy, or that I am uninterested in taking this call, or the ability to just hang the fuck up, this is going to take a lot of anxiety out of receiving phone calls. I need to dig in and see if there is an auto responder for When you have your device on do not disturb.

This is also going to wreck the shit of the entire scam and spam robocaller industry!

Right now, the developer Preview is buggy. Which you would kind of expect. I wouldn't recommend putting this on something that you really needed, but yes this is going to be a really good operating system update.

(Ok Sorry xD) I mean it’s really the missing part of the lore… the missing link between the game… well it’s for real now 😭

I mean it’s true I was concerned with the mobile games because it didn’t sound and look that fun gameplay wise. I can’t lie it wasn’t optimized for sure and another style would have been better than the GPS/ pokemon go like that was planned.. pretty sure they didn’t got good feedback with the beta and even when trying to work around it it didn’t work out in the end… I guess better than launching the game and 2months later there’s no one playing it… idk

But damnit i still hope all won’t go in the trash and either they will redo something new or idk gave us cinematics like for dark road… or maybe it will be incorporate into KHIV.. idk

i am so serious when i say this entire episode gave me like. so much worry and anxiety over the characters that i made myself upset thinking about it . the only thing saving me is everyone's fun expressions in this and specifically this panel of javier

anyway . to the brainrot

i think this panel of lloyd turning his back to javier, immediately after telling javier to go on break for a while, was the first little indicator of "oh no" for me

it really worried me that he said this, especially when they've been working together so much on their journey, so this was tiny little moment of "oh boy whats going on,,," for me,,, idk if anyone else felt the same but i had a feeling i would Not be ready for this ep. and i was right i was absolutely not ready

and then we hit the montage of javier going around the estate and observing how much the land has changed, and i really loved that!! it was really heartwarming seeing everyone, smiling and achieving dreams and stability in a way that the fronteras hadnt seen in a long time (hell i was convinced "oh everythings fine nvm" 😭)

some of my favorite panels in that sequence heehee bayern and his kids this was really really sweet WAAAHH

it just hit me as im typing this that they also say "[project name] complete" not sure if this is a translation thing or if it's something they picked up from lloyd saying "construction complete" but if its the latter thatd be REALLY CUTE

also that panel of tordes by the mines he looks genuinely . satisfied and happy?? the guy punished to work for the fronteras for over 100 years is having a great time LMAO

it's really really pretty, and javier can see that. he can see that the estate has grown and changed into a strong and capable place, and he echoed this in the last chapter but it's really worth celebrating this. so many accomplishments, in so little time, with so much efficiency. frontera estate has been raised from the ground up and seeing it all accumulated was so so beautiful,,,

so seeing this panel absolutely devastated me

the contrast is STRIKING. all of the brightness and light and warmth of the street javier is in is only seen in partial rays streaking in. lloyd is alone, surrounded by books and in a darker corner of the panel. isolated, facial features unreadable and working by himself,,, refusing to see or ignoring all of the accomplishments behind him.

it's like he's falling back into old habits. that workaholism that kept him alive when he was only kim suho in korea. in order to survive, to keep up, to stay afloat, to stay ALIVE, you must keep working. go to the next project, the next problem, the next assignment, and everything will be fine. only then will freedom be yours to have. only then will you be free of this responsibility you bear for those you love.

but he really doesn't need to do that anymore! he has a whole estate of people who will follow him to the ends of the earth, because he's proven himself to be capable of protecting them. he has parents who love him, despite his changes, despite his past, who have grown to believe in him.

he has his beloved knight, who is waiting for him to call for aid. who only needs a glance or a word to lend a hand. who is waiting for him to come outside and just SEE all that he's done. to celebrate, to have peace. to enjoy home. to simply be at home, together.

"when will you be able to come here...?"

javier, protagonist that he is, sees all this light around, and it's peeking into this library that lloyd is in, wondering where the engineer is, but his nose is to a book. because he is working. and that's,,, scary to see. there's a level of distance already taking shape because of old habits, and i don't know if either of them realize it

and like you look at the panel javier is in one more time and you can see, there's kids playing as javier and lloyd! they even have matching hair, and the dog is colored exactly like ppodong. super cute! but it worries me that they're on opposite sides of javier.

said this earlier; this is probably an overanalysis and this probably means nothing. it really is a cute lil cameo of some kids in town! but the fact that they are split like this is eating at me. ppodong-dog is on javier-kid's side, when ppodong is lloyd's summon? and again, they're on opposite sides of javier, will they join back together and keep playing? lloyd-kid is ahead of javier-kid, will he run on ahead without looking back? it's so cute and yet it's making me anxious!!! am i overthinking???

anyway, this split and the two panels contrasting each other like this filled me with so much nervousness that i had to close my eyes and just breathe for a little bit

then we see arcos and marbella talking about lloyd and it's clear they're worried about him, still unsure of where these changes in behavior came from and yet accepting it nonetheless because god dammit theyre good kind people

and when we see lloyd he looks,,,

tired, and disheveled, and still only thinking about working on the next thing. he keeps going on too, like there's nothing currently wrong with this; he's probably used to it, handling everything without a moments rest. the count and countess even mention it at the end of the episode

and when he treats the formal frontera attire lightly and scurries off again, it's like a final nail in this sinking coffin. honestly, i think early lloyd probably would have said similar things to try and skirt the count's attention, but this scene in combination with lloyd being depicted as separated from lloyd, appearing exhausted from continuous work, as well as the following panels of lloyd leaving,,, it fills me with anxiety and dread.

face shrouded in the darkness of the hall, so his features are unrecognizable, just like the library panel. who is that? is it suho or is it lloyd speaking right now? where are you going, into that darkness by yourself, shying away from the light you've brought to this estate? you don't have to do this alone.

and this long, looming distance stretching between him and arcos and marbella. stretching further as lloyd marches onward and alone, working by himself, away from the moments of peace and celebration that his family and his estate bring. into the dark. it's a little haunting to me.

these panels did a really, REALLY good job at solidifying this growing degree of isolation that lloyd is putting himself into, intentionally or not (for lloyd and for the artist lol). he's getting out of reach in his desire to protect everyone, to complete this responsibility he gave himself for the estate.

it's almost,,, backwards? in a way? in the early webtoon, there's a panel where suho is shown trying to reach for a light in the darkness. he believed that if he kept working towards that light, he'll find a way out of this hell he's found himself in, and so everything would be fine. here and now, it could be that he still thinks that this is the case, when it's in fact the opposite. he's brought this light to the estate, but he's putting himself in the dark (and alone, at that) in an effort to reach for the "next light". i don't think he realizes it. this makes me really, really sad. jesus christ well done artist/adaptor

what is it all for if you won't even rest? if you won't turn around and look at all these people who need you around? and not need you as in doing work for them, but need you as in wanting to be with you, and cherishing you, and spending time with you, and simply loving you. yes, time is short and yes, fate is looming, but all this effort to fight those things is still making him lose this connection he has with the estate. he doesn't have to do this alone,,, he doesn't have work endlessly. take a BREAK LLOYD

and by the end of the episode it's to the point that arcos and marbella have realized that that's not lloyd frontera. that's someone else. and gods their faces are DEVASTATING

eyes shadowed, irises blank and lost. they're not frowning deeply, but i can feel the upset layered in. is it disappointment or is it grief? i can't really say for sure, but man,,, man.

anyway yeah i hope u guys understand why this episode gave me anxiety LMFAO

i am so so so sorry for the overthinking/overdissection in this post but my brain started connecting things . whether or not they make sense or if it's just being nitpicky is impossible for me to see so. yeah take this however u will

i actually also briefly saw someone on twitter say that this wasn't in the novel? which is interesting and also a little scary i hope lloyd will turn out alright AHHH

i really hope next episode everyone will be alright ,,, please i cant take this much emotional twisting and turning im gonna lose my mind

I don't usually do WIP Wednesdays, but this is a snippet of my WIP and it happens to be Wednesday... Posting a little preview for accountability because I really need to finish this and get it posted!

His walk back to the lodge would be peaceful, scenic even, if not for the macabre circumstances. The woods are coming to life like they always do at daybreak. They’d been friendly, a cherished place of respite just a few short hours ago, but now each sound sets his teeth on edge, has his imagination conjuring an enemy approach to correspond with every rustling of grass, every breeze that moves through the canopy of leaves. He’s nearing his destination when Ryan’s paranoia actually manifests into something real, stops him dead in his tracks.

Someone or something is staggering out of the tree line and toward the lodge, pale and lanky and coated in blood. The sight of it kicks Ryan’s heart into overdrive. Chris Hackett is dead and the sun is up. Ryan knows, logically, that the monsters should be gone, but it sets off every alarm bell in his brain anyway, has him raising his rifle and switching off the safety, just in case. He stares into the distance for a few seconds more and is struck with a realization that shocks him so badly he nearly drops the gun. Instead he slowly lowers it and engages the safety again, letting it dangle from the strap over his shoulder. The tall figure he’s got in his sights is not a werewolf. Not anymore. 

“Dylan.”

Ryan breathes his name into the morning mist like a secret. 

Dylan’s usually fluffy hair is stuck down to his head with blood and rainwater. His formerly gray t-shirt is now mostly varying shades of deep red and is so thoroughly torn that it appears to be more hole than shirt, hanging off his torso like some sort of crudely-fashioned fishing net. His cropped jeans are shredded to ribbons up to his knees and his stilted gait, Ryan realizes, is likely due to him having lost his shoes when all the skin exploded off of his body. By Dylan’s typical standards, he looks pretty rough, but he’s just about the most beautiful thing Ryan can imagine seeing at the edge of the forest on this godawful morning.

He’s alive. He’s okay. Until this moment, Ryan hadn’t even consciously known that he’d been expecting another outcome. Truthfully, he hadn’t allowed himself to think about Dylan very much at all once he’d left for the Hackett house. He’d done some quick and necessary compartmentalization to focus on the more pressing problem of Laura and Chris. Now, he feels the protective numbness he’s wrapped around himself like a blanket shifting and falling away, his battered heart hammering as it fills with something that could only be hope. He hesitates for a moment, as though he’s afraid that calling out to him aloud will cause Dylan to dissolve into the ether like a ghost. Then Ryan takes a deep breath and finds his voice. 

“Dylan!” he shouts, and Dylan startles, his head whipping around in search of the sound. He spots Ryan and looks like he’s doing a double-take himself, his gore-spattered face alight with recognition and disbelief, like he can’t quite accept that what he’s seeing could be real either.

“Ryan?” he calls back, “Ryan!”

Ryan reaches a full sprint in Dylan’s direction before he even realizes that he’s running.

Cas disappears after leaving once again to help the angels.  With God gone, Mary defected to the British men of letters, and the other major players all on their best behaviour, Dean tries to carry on as normal, hunt the things and save the people.  But the longer time goes by without so much as a text, the more his worry spirals. Then, just when all hope is lost, like the supernatural yo-yo he is Cas is back.  Only something or someone has siphoned off grace he didn’t have to spare.  As they embark on yet another case together, it’s a race against time to stop whoever it is from finishing the job and removing Cas from Dean’s life for good.

“I thought you said no one died here?”  They both step out of the Impala, grabbing their gear from her trunk.  Dean follows Sam down the hill heading for the nearby woods lining the property.  

“I said no one’s on record dying here.” Handing Dean a shovel, he has the nerve to wink. 

Walking across the wet overgrown grass, Dean decides to spark up less work-related conversation.  “So, you speak to Eileen recently?” 

“Nope.” Sam charges ahead, “you talk to Cas?”

Dean stops dead in his tracks.  It’s not the fact Sam would equate him and Cas as the same as him and Eileen, it’s that Cas has been radio silent for ten straight days now.  “That’s not funny, man.”  He manages to get out around the lump suddenly clogging his throat.

Something of his panic must come through in his words because Sam stops walking and turns around, lips pulling tight.  “Sorry, I know you’re worried.” 

“You must be too, right?  I mean this isn’t like him.”

Another, more complex expression passes over his brother’s face and suddenly Dean doesn’t want to know what he thinks.  “I mean, I talk to Cas, but honestly, unless there’s something major going down, I don’t see a few days without contact as a big deal.”

“Ten!” He shouts.  “It’s been ten days Sam and nothing, I- I’ve sent him texts he hasn’t read, left messages he hasn’t picked up, this isn’t like him, he -”

“He’s probably just lost his phone -” Sam shrugs, placating at first but then he cuts himself off mid-sentence and stares pointedly at Dean.  “How do you know he’s not picked up his messages?”  He pauses for a response, but when Dean starts walking and keeps his head down, he draws his own conclusion.  “Oh my god, you hacked his phone!”

“I had to!”  Dean cries in outrage, waving the shovel above his head.  “Hey, don’t give me that face!  I needed to know.”

Sam does indeed give him ‘the face’, adding an eyeroll for good measure as they continue towards their vengeful spirit’s grave.  “Next, you’ll be telling me you’ve put a tracker in it too.” 

“No,” He looks quickly away, keeping a steady pace, “but you are the second he comes back.”

“Dean, I am not invading Cas’ privacy just because you’re a controlling asshole.”

“What if he agreed?”  He asks.

“I’d tell him he doesn’t have to, because I know he’ll say yes to anything you ask.”

“Oh, he would not.” 

Reaching the graveyard, Sam tugs on his arm and stops them both, making Dean face him.  “Do you know where his phone is now?”

Dean manages to feign obliviousness for all of five seconds before blurting the answer.  “Maine.  It pinged off a cell tower in Fort Foster three days ago.”

Raising his shovel and making the first indent in the soil, Sam looks over at Dean, “So we heading to Maine as soon as we’re done here?”

Dean smiles, his first real smile in ten days.

The 3rd DRB being a movie and by consequence screwing over the international fanbase is super disappointing. I feel like everything rides on BAT's drama track now. If Kuko doesn't get any kind of lore or development I might honestly be done with HypMic. I'll still like Kuko and BAT and stream the music but I won't buy anymore merch, I won't renew my hypster membership, and I'll just be apathetic about further development. Like my expectations are so low I'm already dreading another drama track coming and going with no plot progressions. I have so little faith in KR now, its so depressing.

i’ll share this think piece bc i agree with it and i feel like you might as well lol (it’s in jp but just run it thru a translator lol)

but it’s been a very long time hasn’t it lol?? bat’s 5th year anniversary is coming up and we’ve watched them basically have the same beat as dh; a very close knit story that deals with their bonds outside of plot, except since dh has rei, it felt like it was just a matter of time before dh were integrated into the plot and tragically bat doesn’t have that cushion lol

but i’ve seen jp dh fans gripe about the exact same things we are, desperately hoping the trio wasn’t about to be another track where they’re just drinking the night away and lo and behold, not only are rosasa aware of all that rei and chuuoku have done, the track went out of its way to show them not drinking their lack of development/integration away lmao

so i do believe that kr knows nagosaka fans are tired and i think they’ll give bat fans what they want too finally 😭😭😭 esp since they blatantly gave us a bat chuuoku parallel with the drama track titles (so there is a chance we will have to have chuuoku’s track for further context, as annoying it would be that bat can’t have their own thing in their own track lmao)

and yeah if the 3rd drb is deadass the movie way to shut out the intl fans lmao but i do think they have other plans in store for something else

DOLLHOUSE

The Kim family are seemingly perfect in the eyes of everyone who meets them. Rich, nice houses, gorgeous children and marriages built upon pure love and respect.

It started with Kim Felix and his wife, Jeonjin, a cheerful, if a bit excentric married couple. They had two healthy, handsome sons, Seungmin and Jisung. When they grew, Jisung met Hyuna at his workplace, where she worked as a model. He spend months pining from afar before he finally asked her out and, eventually, brought her home as his formal girlfriend, marrying her soon after. Then Seungmin met Lina some years later and, after weeks of mostly bickering and agressive flirting, he asked her out on a date. He brought her home to his parents as his the same way Jisung did, and ended up getting married too.

Jisung and Hyuna had two adorable sons, Changbin and Chan. Seungmin and Lina took their time, but when little Chan was five, Lina gave birth to a precious girl, Lixie. The ball of joy became made Seungmin's smile brighter than ever and brought a soft side of Lina that no one thought possible.

This is the story everyone knows. It sounds like the dream family, right? They make such a pretty picture...as long as you don't look too close at it.

She became Lixie's babysitter by a recommendation from her friend, Jeong, Lina's younger sister. Hearing the woman's complaints about not finding a proper caretaker for her babygirl and knowing Nessa could use some extra cash, Jeong decided to kill two birds with a single stone.

She's been in this practically since Lixie was a newborn, exactly three years and half. It was supposed to be a short-term job until Lina managed to find an alternative so she could stay more at home, but she grew to adore Lixie and got used to the routine of taking care of her, so she stayed. At least that's what she explains to whoever asks about the matter. she's trapped, can't bring herself to leave

As babysitter, her job is very simple. Feed the baby, change her diapers, shower her, play with her and make sure she's healthy and happy at all times. That's all she must do.

As a babysitter, her only focus should be Lixie. She's all she needs to care about. And if she happens to hear or see something she definitely shouldn't have like Seungmin's brother coming out of Lina's room or the breathless moans and dirty words when Seungmin isn't home, that's none of her business. Oh, what is it? Is Lixie hungry? Let's fix that now and forget everything else.

She's been the family's housemaid since Channie was still in the crib. The bills don't pay themselves and she was struggling when Jisung contacted her. He and his wife had demanding jobs and two kids, so they couldn't handle everything, he said. They needed someone to take care of the things they didn't have time for, and she needed quick money. It was an easy deal.

Officially, her duty consists on doing the house chores, like laundry and cleaning the rooms, but eventually she also began to look after the kids too. It was only natural, since they were the main sources of dirt she had to clean after, and in some way, they were house chores too. If Mr Jisung and Mrs Hyuna aren't around, she helps them with homework and entertains them, even thought it isn't part of her contract. There were talks about her quitting the job to move somewhere else, but it never happened. She clearly prefers to stay here, with this cozy job where she gets to spend time surrounded by luxuries she couldn't bare leaving them behind, not after everything

A housemaid's duty is simply keeping the house clean and comfortable for when her masters arrive. She does the laundry, cooks their meals, fixes their rooms and does as she's told until she returns home.

As a housemaid, she has mastered the art of being invisible. Her presence remains subtle unless she's needed. She's the ears and eyes of the house, nothing wents on there without her knowledge. Nothing. Mrs Lina's husband visiting them when Mr Han leaves the house. Hands and whispers wandering where they shouldn't. She's merely an spectator, unable to intervene. Look at that, the boys left their toys out again! She better put them back before the Masters arrive.

Y'ALL THE PROGRAM IS PROGRAMMED, THIS IS WHAT I HAVE RN FOR THE DUCK GAME!!!!! all the pixel art is done by me, the animation and coding too, i am SOOOOO EXCITED i mean this is an actual game you can play. i have a few tweaks to work out and things to add then i'l make a full level and post a video of me playing it, when the game is fully finished i will post it on itch.io!!! i do still need a name, because my best idea is DuckDuckBoom lol.
