"Religion is not provided to us by revelation. It doesn’t come from the heavens. It doesn’t come from the beyond. It doesn’t come from the divine. It’s man-made, and it shows. It shows very well that religion is created, invented, imposed by a species half a chromosome away from the chimpanzee. It shows, doesn’t it?" -- Christopher Hitchens

Oh fandom joy of translating random characters! Here I was translating 灣 [wān] — bay, gulf — getting down to 彎 [wān] — to bend, to flex, curve — and then to 䜌 [luán] — chaotic, confused —which is a compound of many beautiful words like 鸞 [luán]. At that moment the golden light of divine revelation poured all over the place and I felt this gorgeous luan MUST have to do smth with LQG's Cheng Luan. Guess what🔥 It's written precisely as 乘鸞 and means smth like 'riding a phoenix'? How epic is that??
乘 [chéng] — to travel, to ride, take a chance, multiply 鸞 [luán] — luan, a mythical phoenix-like bird

it was just revealed to me in a dream that the idiom 'turn over a new leaf' is referring to a leaf of paper, a new page. not like a tree leaf.

"Get thee behind me, demon," he muttered.
"I am behind you."
Brutha turned again, slowly. The garden was still empty.
He fled.

Cards of Yesterday ’s LIVE …
I don’t know how to recover & repost the LIVE I did here on Tumblr, if you know how please comment below/message me!!! Thanks a bunch. However, If you’re interested in the Full Live I will link it from my Facebook Page! Please follow me over there if able 💕
Right now as we collectively come out of Venus & Mercury’s RX as well as process this Leo New Moon, I wanted to offer some divination & discussion for clarity! A lot is going on astrologically, spiritually & energetically as we end Summer. This reading came through very clearly…
🔮Spirit is literally saying “yes, some things are manifesting for you… but is this what you really want?”
Sometimes its okay to go back to the drawing board when things & people are not showing up the way we need them to.
🔮Spirit also says :
be open minded, not everything you need/want has to meet your expectations … BUT only you know what you’re willing to accept at the end of the day. Its ultimately your decision that makes the difference.
As we move into the Fall season & close out 2023… we need to make sure we’re not being sacrificial for the sake of community/relationship/connections & the image or appearance of having it together… when its not really all that!!!!
🔮Spirit says :
‼️FORGET HOW IT LOOKS,OBSERVE HOW IT FEELS‼️
Looks & the way we perceive things can be deceiving. Does the energy match the manifestation & does the manifestation match the energy? Is the situation giving what it needs to give? Its so easy to get caught up in the perception/image game…
🔮Spirit says : right now that energetic component is key 🔑
The energy that present itself is sometimes more truthful that what the eyes can see! If the ENERGY is not sincere & loving (high vibration), we either need to pull back & budget how much we give or completely remove ourselves from the situation… But if the energy is there… THE LOVE, THE HONESTY, THE PASSION…maybe there’s some small changes that can be made to make it work in our communities, jobs, relationships…
Some of those changes must start from within though 💔

Ki Tissa: A Lesson in Leadership

Moses was on top of Mount Sinai, experiencing Divine revelation on a level beyond the grasp of ordinary prophets.
At the foot of the mountain, however, the people began to worry. Not knowing why Moses was taking so long, not understanding how he could live without food and water for forty days, they felt abandoned and leaderless. They demanded that Aaron make them a golden calf, and they worshipped it.
God’s response was immediate — He banished Moses from Mount Sinai:
“Leave! Go down! The people whom you brought out of Egypt have become corrupt.” (Exodus 32:7)
It seems unfair. The people sin, and Moses is kicked off the mountain?

A Suitable Leader

In order for a leader to succeed, he must be appreciated and valued by his followers. The leader may possess a soul greatly elevated above the people, but it is crucial that the people should be able to relate to and learn from their leader.
At Mount Sinai, the Jewish people were on a lofty spiritual level. As a result, Moses was able to attain a supreme level of prophecy and revelation on top of the mountain. But after they sinned with the golden calf, Moses would no longer be a suitable leader were he to retain his spiritual attainments. It was necessary for Moses to “step down,” to lower himself, in order to continue serving as their guide and leader.
This idea is clearly expressed by the Talmud in Berachot 32a:
“What does it mean, ‘Go down’? God told Moses, ‘Go down from your greatness. I only gave you pre-eminence for the sake of the Jewish people. Now they have sinned — why should you be elevated?’
Immediately, Moses’ [spiritual] strength left him.”

Is the Authority of Scripture Biblical?
Eli Kittim
I have a high view of Scripture. But my authority is a Person, not a Book. My authority is God himself, as he reveals to me his will and purpose through spiritual communications. It’s one thing to say that the Bible is “authoritative,” in the sense that it’s reliable and truthful. But it’s quite another thing to say that it’s our highest authority. I think people mistakenly conflate the authority of Scripture with Cessationism, the Calvinist doctrine that spiritual gifts and prophecy ceased with the Apostolic Age. They often cite Jude 1:3 for support. But all that verse says is that “the faith” was revealed to us at some point in human history. It doesn’t say that the Godhead went out of business, took a Sabbatical, or died and left a will. The other passage cessationists love to quote is 1 Cor. 13:9-10. But all it says is that “we know in part and prophesy in part” because “when the perfect comes, the partial will be done away with.” But not before the complete comes. That’s the key! It doesn’t say that prophecy has ceased. That would be a misinterpretation. Besides, Acts 2:17 says that people in the end times will prophesy and see visions.
Many people are confusing Scripture’s inspiration, revelation, truthfulness, and inerrancy with the concept of “authority,” which the Oxford languages dictionary defines as “the power or right to give orders, make decisions, and enforce obedience.” In short, our highest authority is not the Church, tradition, councils, committees, or even the Bible itself. Our highest authority is Jesus Christ! In Matt. 28:18 (NASB), Christ says:
“All authority in heaven and on earth has
been given to Me”
Where does 2 Tim. 3:14–16 mention the authority of Scripture? It says that “the sacred writings … are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.” In other words, Scripture gives us wisdom and leads us to salvation which can only be found in Christ Jesus. The fact that Scripture is “inspired” doesn’t mean it represents the final authority. 2 Tim. 3:14–16 reads:
“continue in the things you have learned
and become convinced of, knowing from
whom you have learned them, and that
from childhood you have known the sacred
writings which are able to give you the
wisdom that leads to salvation through faith
which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is
inspired by God and beneficial for teaching,
for rebuke, for correction, for training in
righteousness.”
The fact that Scripture is God-breathed (2 Tim. 3:16) doesn’t mean that the Bible has the final say in all matters. The Spirit that inspired the Bible is the ultimate authority on all matters, not the Bible. Scripture itself does not claim to have all authority. Jesus does.
Moreover, the concept of the Sufficiency of Scripture implies that Scripture itself is all we need to interpret Scripture. But Scripture can be interpreted in 30,000 different ways. Just look at all the Protestant denominations that split due to interpretative differences. Thus, Scripture is neither sufficient to interpret itself, nor is it the final authority. Without the Holy Spirit to illuminate us, we will inevitably misinterpret it (Jn 16:13)!
Where does 2 Pet. 1:20–21 mention the authority of Scripture?
“But know this first of all, that no prophecy
of Scripture becomes a matter of
someone’s own interpretation, for no
prophecy was ever made by an act of
human will, but men moved by the Holy
Spirit spoke from God.”
All it says is that prophecy and its interpretation should be revealed by the Holy Spirit, not interpreted by human beings. If anything, it demonstrates the insufficiency of Scripture!
The fact that the Bible contains the Word of God doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s the final authority, or that it’s sufficient in and of itself, so that we don’t need anything else. If the Bible is entirely “sufficient” and adequate for all purposes, we wouldn’t need to be reborn. All we would need to do is read our Bibles. But Scripture cannot save anyone. Jesus does. The Spirit is what we need. We can be saved by the Spirit without the Bible. But we can’t be saved by the Bible without the Spirit.
The Bible does not attest to its own authority. Revelation of the Word does not mean ultimate Authority. The fact that God’s Word is true (Jn 17:17) doesn’t mean that it’s the highest authority in our lives. As Christ said, it is the Spirit that perfects us, not the Scriptures (Jn 16:13). Luke 24:49 reads:
“But remain … until you have been clothed
with power from on high”
John 3:5 says categorically and unequivocally:
“unless someone is born of … the
Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.”
Likewise, Romans 8:9 puts it thusly:
“But if anyone does not have the Spirit of
Christ, he does not belong to Him.”
In John 5:39-40, Jesus demonstrates the insufficiency of Scripture by saying the following:
“You examine the Scriptures because you
think that in them you have eternal life; and
it is those very Scriptures that testify about
Me; and yet you are unwilling to come to Me
so that you may have life.”
When Jesus says that all will be accomplished according to his Word (Matt. 5:18), he’s talking about prophecy, not the authority of Scripture. I’m not suggesting that Scripture errs or is contradictory. Absolutely not! But let’s not confuse the issues. The fact that the Bible contains the Word of God doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s our final authority, or that it’s entirely sufficient. That would be equivalent to Bibliolatry. The Bible is not a paper Pope. Truth and trustworthiness is one thing. Authority is another.

What Must I Believe to Be Saved?
The Terms of Salvation God requires that certain information be believed before He saves someone. This means saving faith requires content. Though faith alone is the only requirement by God, the content of faith has changed throughout the ages, depending on what God revealed at a particular time. What God revealed to Adam and Eve was different than what He revealed to Abraham, and what He…

Free will enables me to change my mind when I have a good reason to. If a god exists and has free will but doesn’t give me a reason, then it’s comfortable with my conclusion. If it won’t, then it it has no recourse. If it can’t or doesn’t know to, then it’s not a god.

There are some things in life rather combos that seems like a divine coincidence.
Strangely enough I literally thought about it earlier today and was astonished by how fitting it was:
Word of the day: Creepypasta.
It's dawned on me like otherworldly premonition today. Quite serendipitous indeed.

Is The Bible God's Word? -- David W. Hester
How shall we view the Bible? Is it just one of many “holy books”—no better or worse than, say, the Qu’ran of Islam, the Reg Veda of Hinduism, or the Book of Mormon? Is it nothing more than an outstanding piece of literature—on par with the works of Shakespeare, “inspired” in the way that any great literary work is composed? Or, is the Bible something much more—the very Word of God itself? The way…

Does it scare you to think about what Satan is trying to do to your kids?
What are you doing to make sure he doesn’t? Are you teaching your children about God?
Are you setting an example for them showing them what faithfulness looks like? Do you take them to church and Bible class?
Do you talk to them about the lies and immorality that the devil has made normal?
Do you keep them from playing video games and watching shows that slip in things that will take them off course? Do you pray for them and over them?
Don’t think for one second that you can let up or slack off. Evil doesn’t.

Sup losers. Time for your daily dose of #Truth. Imma teach you how to play as the Scooby gang in DnD, because you should stop wasting your life and do something cool for a change.
Fred is a paladin, but doesn't even know he has an oath. He's just a dumb-dumb goodboi and we love him for it.
Daphne is a bard, but like a college of swords kinda bard. She really wants to multiclass into warlock but Fred keeps eating all the idols to forgotten gods.
Velma is a wizard and she specializes in divination. Her glasses are her magical focus, and she has the Magic Initiate feat allowing her to cast Guidance and Goodberry (aka Scooby Snacks).
Shaggy is a ranger and Scoob is his pact animal. His favoured enemy is Sandwich and his favoured terrain is "Far Out". Super unoptimized, but he rolled godlike stats so it works out.
Scrappy Doo is a Barbarian-Rogue-Monk multiclass with the tavern brawler feat. His reckless unarmed attacks straight to the chin apply sneak attack damage and segue into a flurry of blows. He is incredibly based and chad-pilled.
Alright, go out and spread the Good Word. Bully your friends into playing Baldur's Gate 3 with you this way or whatever
