We spoke with the famous K-pop boy band during their visit to the Estadio Cívitas Metropolitano de Madrid
[...] As we mentioned before, their most recent project is HARD, which came out on June 26 of this year and marked Taemin's return after completing his military service.
In fact, for them, they confessed, this album release "has helped them demonstrate" to their fans that they're still "working for and thinking about them."
K-Pop is an unstoppable phenomenon. SHINee is undoubtedly one of the veteran groups of the scene, as they debuted in 2008, and since then, they haven't stopped gifting their talent to the world.
This has also led them to witness all kinds of changes and adapt to them. They're proud to have witnessed the K-pop expansion and also have kept their fans around the world.
It's 13 years [og writer mistake lol] since their first studio album release, The SHINee World, and with pride for what they accomplished, there's also the happiness. Key, Minho, and Taemin reply with a smile from ear to ear and say they are happy to have arrived here.
'What about the future? How do you see yourself in the future?'
They don't have any doubts: "We won't change."
SHINee ensures that it will continue to maintain that unstoppable passion for music and for the creation of its songs. Although they also show their desire to explore their solo talents and rejoin as a group to continue making history in the K-Pop industry.

Altomonte, Calabria, Italy
Altomonte is a charming medieval village sitting on a promontory 450 meters above sea level, at the foot of the National Park of Pollino.
The place corresponds to the old village of Balbia, name of Phoenician origin (that means Lord) mentioned by Roman author Pliny, the Elder, when celebrates the goodness of the Balbino wine.
Situated on the hill, the houses seem to be welded to the ground and the rocks, the hills with olive trees, fields and spots are a real timeless spectacle.
Tumblr media
During the medieval period, Altomonte became a fortified center and played a significant role in the defense of the region. Over the centuries, the town developed into a typical Calabrian village, preserving its historical character and traditions.
The heart of Altomonte is its historical centre, characterized by narrow cobbled streets, stone houses, and ancient buildings.
Tumblr media
The many streets and stairways cluster around the center of the village, where the Church of Santa Maria della Consolazione is located. A true Gothic-Angevin art treasure, with a rose window and a very elegant facade, while the bell tower is decorated with a mullioned window.
Adjoining the church is the Dominican Monastery that now houses the Civic Museum, where important works of art are preserved.
The village offers visitors a chance to savor traditional Calabrian cuisine, with a focus on local products such as olive oil, cured meats, and regional wines.

Happy Sunday you beautiful creature!! Hope your weekend is relaxing and rejuvenating!
My question for today: What is your favorite genre of food?
Thanks as always for blessing us with your gorgeous body, your adorable face, and your radiant smile!
Happy Sunday, my love!! Thank you for being so incredibly lovely and sweet 🥰💖 Your messages always put a smile on my face 🥰
I just got out of the bath, so I am currently peak relaxation and rejuvenation at the moment 🥴🛀🏼
This is SUCH a difficult question and I love it so much. I adore a wide assortment of cuisines, but the one I could comfortably survive on for the longest amount of time would have to be Dominican/Puerto Rican food 🇩🇴🇵🇷. It is the food I grew up on, and no doubt, precisely why it is my absolute favorite 🙌🏽
Thank you for the great question and all the lovely compliments!! Wishing you the most wonderful day and week ahead 💖😘

Afro-dominican Jason Todd headcanons
I politely ask that people who adhere to the first three Robins and Damian being 'the core Batkids' trope, age gap shippers-with aus included-and people who're overly s*xual about Jason dni with this post.I would not appreciate your support and would rather you just block me,sorry!
Both sets of his grandparents were inmigrants who made sure to teach their kids their culture and Bruce,Talia and Alfred did research so he could still grow up in it after he was adopted so he's not disconnected from his heritage like you'd expect
Is darkskinned with a big nose, full lips, green eyes and shoulder length black dreads with one of them being white from the Lazarus Pit.As Robin,he wore his hair short and natural(By which i mean his classic curls but even thicker)
Dosen't speak spanish super often but still enough that it's a consistent part of his speech patterns and dosen't really have an accent since he's so good at both it and english
90s/2000s anime kid but specifically watched the eps/read the mangas in latino spanish whenever he could(Definitely a merch collector too!!Not anything weird though,i feel the need to say that,he just loves buying volumes and figures and replicas of weapons and plushies-That last one is a secret though)
Has his pre-reboot Robin characterization but got a bad rep and victim blamed anyway because of antiblackness and xenophobia
Bullying Tim for being a gringo is one of his favorite hobby's
Duke and him compare their similar yet different experiences with blackness and got along even quicker than canon in solidarity
Since i have him be a mentor to my verse's Damian Teen Titans generation,he's closest to Nell out of all the members(other than Damian obvs)
Takes great care of his hair and will sometimes wear red beads-He actually has a couple of sets in different shades!!
Says his favorite color is red because it represents blood on his country's flag and nobody can tell wether he's joking or not
Sometimes feels guilty for 'being a stereotype' due to the whole born to poor parents who were also addicts and being a rude asshole with anger issues and thrist for violence but rarely lets it get to him because he thinks he's coolest mf to ever exist(But we all know he's actually a boyloser)
Not a huge aave user but he does say 'deadass' fairly often and enjoys euphemisms from it
Love his country's cuisine-especially flan,it's tied with neapolitan ice cream as his favorite dessert-but his favorite type of latino food is mexican!Tres Leches cake and tacos and burritos and mexican hot chocolate and all that make his mouth water like Atlantis
Wears traditional festive clothes for special events and if he can't,he'll just refuse to go("I'm not going out in public in that!" "It's literally a tux???" "You call that a tux?It dosen't even have shoulder pads!Don't patronize me,Dickald.")
An alt music kinda guy but does love bachata for nostalgia reasons and has some songs memorized
Adores dominican folklore and uses it's horror myths for inspo as Red Hood
Thinks 'Showing affection means you aren't tough!' is gringo nonsense so he's pretty open about it if he likes someone,be it platonic or romantic
The only thing him and Kyle can agree on is that latinos are superior
This last one isn't a headcanon but a fun coincidence-His birthday is the same day as Dominican Restoration Day!!
I'd love reblogs on this because i hardly ever see latino Jason content that's not racist but don't feel obliaged if you don't want to!!♡

hc + 🥣 for a food-themed headcanon?
Tumblr media
thematic headcanons // accepting !
he grew up in what I imagine would be a very densely immigrant populated area-- usually north side is 'upper scale' but with the reputation of park row and it's real close proximity to the bowery (in most gotham maps..... jeez!) this makes me think that with 'crime' sending out the rich people, it allowed a lot a big boom of culture and opportunity for people who normally wouldn't get that business.
ALL OF THAT PREAMBLE TO SAY: because of that rich melting pot, and Jason's close proximity to a lot of different cuisine culture, and his own childhood of living out on the streets for a hot second: he likes EVERYTHING.
I think he has a particular soft spot for latin/islander food (dominican/puerto rican/haitian YUM), and mediterranean (hello grecian namesake. but i know he gets DOWN on some moussaka). loves large spreads of foods, and food that feels very jam-packed with flavor, without so much of the hot&spicy kick.

Dominican Mofongo
Mofongo is a traditional dish in Dominican cuisine that is typically made from mashed green plantains that are combined with garlic, pork cracklings or bacon, and olive oil. The ingredients are mashed together in a pilón, a wooden mortar and pestle, to create a dense ball or mound. Mofongo can be served as a side dish or as a main course, and is often accompanied by seafood, meat, or vegetables.…

Johnnycake, also known as journey cake, johnny bread, hoecake, shawnee cake or spider cornbread, is a cornmeal flatbread, a type of batter bread. An early American staple food, it is prepared on the Atlantic coast from Newfoundland to Jamaica. The food originates from the indigenous people of North America. It is still beating in the West Indies, Dominican Republic, Saint Croix, The Bahamas, Colombia, Bermuda, Curaçao and Puerto Rico as well as in the United States and Canada.
The modern johnnycake is found in the cuisine of New England and is often claimed as originating in Rhode Island. A modern johnnycake is fried cornmeal gruel, which is made from yellow or white cornmeal mixed with salt and hot water or milk, and sometimes sweetened. In the Southern United States, the term used is hoecake, although this can also refer to cornbread fried in a pan.

besides anything to do with the power business, what would be some things on the lis' bucket lists?
Lincoln:
He’d like to travel and see more of the world. See beautiful natural wonders and other countries. With the other countries, ideally he’d enjoy to spend an extended period of time different countries so he can really experience a place, not just pass through as a tourist.
Jocelyn:
Her bucket list mostly consists of adrenaline chasers. Skydiving, bungee jumping, cliff diving, and zip-lining are a few to name. Besides those, she’d also love to climb part of Mount Everest or Mount Kilimanjaro. She’s a massive daredevil and loves anything athletic.
Abel:
His greatest and most secret desire is to go on a dig somewhere he’s always wanted to go and discover something important. However, he’d have to be working somewhere bigger and more important than Westchester CC to get the chance to leave the state, much less the country, and since he doesn’t want to seem like he’s complaining he never really tells anyone about this.
Amalia:
She would definitely love to win a kung fu tournament. Above all, what she really wants is to make a difference in the world, so she would love to see the results of her work as an immigration lawyer first hand. She would also love to travel, spend more time in the Dominican Republic with her family, and travel around the world to experience different cultures (and cuisines!)

So I’m sure that everyone is excited for Luz and her friends to be in the Human World. And I’ve seen a lot of interesting ideas regarding Luz’ friends hiding their identities and any features that would give their non-humanness away (such as their pointy ears), as well as some cute hijinks they would get into because of their lack of understanding of human culture.
However, something I haven’t seen anyone talk about is the food.
It’s been established in the show (and even pushed an episode’s A plot) that Luz can’t eat most of the food on the Boiling Isles, to the point where Eda even calls her a “picky eater”. Of course, Willow, Gus, Amity, and Hunter have no such trouble, because despite appearing human-like, their biology is likely very different than that of a human (their bile sac being proof of this).
So that makes me wonder: Will they be able to stomach Earth food? Because yes, Earth food is probably a lot “tamer” than food on the Boiling Isles (it doesn’t usually move, for one), but that’s from our point of view, as viewers who actually live on Earth.
Will Luz’s friends even be able to eat the food Luz’s mom makes? Or will they be considered “picky eaters” as well, leaving poor Camila to struggle to not only accommodate four additional children, but to also take into account their strict palettes?
I’m also really interested to see them try Mexican cuisine due to Luz’s Latine heritage (I’m unsure if her background is Mexican, Spanish, or even another country, so my apologies if I got this wrong!), given how spicy a lot of their dishes are. I’m sure the Boiling Isles has their own variety of… painful dishes, but I doubt any of them would expect the same from food on Earth. Or who knows? Maybe they haven’t ever eaten spicy food before, leading to some hilarious (and perhaps violent) reactions when they take a bite.
Actually, now that I’m on this train of thought… how will Hunter react to human food? On the one hand, his biology as a Grimwalker may be completely different from everyone else, even the other witches (hinted at by his inability to use magic like them). Of course, he was still born in the Boiling Isles, and given his pointed ears, his biology must be somewhat similar. However, he is also a clone of someone who was human. So will he have an adverse reaction to food like I predict the other witches will? Or will he enjoy the food like his human predecessor did, leading to yet another identity crisis?
Edit: I have since learned that Luz’s family is Dominican, which means… not a lot of spicy foods. Whoops! So maybe the witches wouldn’t be introduced to spicy food in this manner, but I’d still love to see their reactions! Perhaps Camila orders take-out from a place that serves spicy food?

If i remember correctly you mentioned a while ago you were Haitian american (if not I'm really sorry for misremembering and pls feel free to correct me or ignore this ask!). If you are, I was wondering what some of you favourite Haitian dishes/food are. One of the characters in my story is of Haitian descent and I was doing some research on Haitian cuisine and it looks delicious. As a black woman and a foodie at heart I always love to research cuisines from different places in the world. I have tried Jamaican and Dominican food before, since I have quite a few Jamaican and Dominican family friends, but I've never tried Haitian food before. Do you have any recomendations that I should give a try?
You are most correct, anon! I am Haitian American. And do I ever!
It is as delicious as it looks.
We have sme similarities with Dominican food, obviously; but a lot of the difference is in how foods are done/cooked. Of course, person by person, region by region it will be different -- I've had the same food taste different in my own family (and it is sometimes a matter of person x and person y were both taught by person b, for example). But from my observation (and limited recollection -- it has been a while since I've had dominican food), things like the spices we use or how we cook our rice definitely differ.
Since I'm talking about spices, the thing to try is epis. I don't know WHAT it is made of - you can probably find receipes in Google - but it is a staple in many dishes. I saw it is similar to Dominican sazon? I'm not sure how accurate that is, but that might give yoou a base. It's basically a mix of spices and used to cook things like chicken, soups, meats, etc. I'm sure there are people who use it for everything.
Speaking of things people use for everything: Pikliz. Again, a thing that varies per household - it can be tangy, sour, or spicy. Generally though, it's spicy spicy or a spicy sour. And you can literally put it on anything (not sweet obviously -- or I don't know, to eacch their own). I LOOOOVE pikliz. It's like a relish, it has cabbage in it, the ingredients you'd probably see in a slaw. You can eat it with your meat, you can eat it with your rice. Like epis, you can cook the food with it but often enough people put it like a condiment. I personally love it on fried plantain.
Speaking of: we have banan peze (literally pressed bananas) - which is fried plantain flattened. It can be sweet or not. You have that with pikliz. Another popular food to eat by itself (or with pikliz) is griot, a type of pork. Or tassot (often goat but google says people have it as beef). A whole meal could be pikliz on the side, griot or tassot (or a sauceless chicken), banan peze and some rice.
Haitians LOVE their rice. Like, oh my goodness. Honestly, I know some Haitians that could have rice breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And maybe a snack. The main rices I recall are: white rice usually had with 'sos pwa' (beans ... sauce, I guess). There's black beans, red beans, or peas. Sos pwa can be had as a soup or, like I said, with the rice. Usually as a topping. Then there is diri kole avec pwa (probably saying it wrong, actually forgive all my creole spellings, I know most of these terms by sound/verbal) - which is basically rice and beans. Usually red beans and the rice comes out a nice brownish-red color. Or diri jonjon - which makes the rice come out black, and people often add shrimp. But there can also be like peas in it or black beans. Seafood - typically fish - can be had with the rice too by the way, but discussing the type of seafoods would take too long. I WILL say lambi is a big, BIG thing in Haiti -- lambi is a type of conch. Or just conch, idk.
I'm going to speed run through some appetizers and sweets, or else this will take forever. If you have more questions just let me know!
There is haitian patties - which is different style from jamaican patties or an empanada. But it typically has beef or chicken in it; it can also have types of fish or spinash. Fritai is also a thing, which is various fried foods.
Sweets: Diri Au Lait is my fave as a kid, and still. AK100 (a blended corn drink). Haitian cake is great. We have various fudges made of nuts and stuff.
Drinks: cola champagne is a favorite.
A quick look at this shows it's not inaccurate. Though it might be overwhelming. But it covers a lot of the stuff I missed, then you only asked for my faves :-D (which I still am missing a lot but thats a good starter I feel, lol.)
Happy eating! Enjoy :-D
