"Dream of me, where are you? I'm guessing somewhere between the sun and moon.. somewhere between day and night where the stars shine bright. I'm guessing that you don't even know that you are the love of my life.. you are so deep in my dreams that nothing is what it seems anymore."
Dreams are places we can escape to but I never want to escape you - eUë
I hate the "girl best friend who doesn't want you dating him" trope. Mainly because they actually exist and it happens too many times in real life. But not even being close to best friend is right & also happens way too often irl. That's why it hurts so much to even read it in a fic. They really be seeing something beautiful & obviously mutual between the guy they like and the girl who's not them and decided to forcefully shove themselves in it & shamelessly ruin it. And would overstep their boundaries or even get physical like they have any right at all in the first place. They're undeterred even if the guy told them off. They decided they're friends with the guy even tho the guy barely knows them and got all possesive and called dibs and think they own the guy just because they find him good looking. I do read fics that has this trope and I would get so worked up over this specific kind of character, that's why I hate the trope, even tho I know it's just a fic. Tho you can also look at it as the writers being so good that they actually pulled you into the story and it's like you're experiencing it yourself and that's why I got so worked up. Is it terrible of me to say that I hate these girl best friend characters or homewrecker characters more than I do the main villains? Like, the kind of contempt that I hold for them are on a way different level than I do actual villains in the story lol. I'm sorry for this ask. Idk what this is. Maybe I'm the only who's like this.
Hi, nonnie. No apologies. I totally get disliking certain tropes or plotlines for stories. There are some that aren't my cup of tea, so I may avoid them. I support the writers though. They deserve the love.
The particular thing you mentioned, it's heartbreaking that there are people who seek to ruin something because they can't have it. That isn't care. It isn't love.
One of the beautiful things about fanfiction is the capacity to make us feel. How many stories have we shrieked over? Cried tears of happiness or despair? Made us want to throw our phones? It's incredible. Cathartic.
Writers also have the ability to weave very real things into fantasy, which is why it's understandable that some things hit too close to home or may upset some.
With my upcoming series, I'm sure there will be some who will not like this particular OC. She will be envious of the reader, partially because of Bucky. And, again, the OC plays a part in the story. The main focus is our reader and Bucky. I'm excited for it to play out once it's ready.
"Elijah...what are you doing here? We were supposed to meet at the Grill- "
"Hello" Elijah turns to the doppelganger. "We were - but unfortunatelly - you are - put to sleep"
"What - put to sleep? Omg!" Elena turns suddenly realizes that she wasn't supposed to be in the woods.
"I'm sorry my lovely. Malachai Parker crashed the wedding ceremony. He tried to kill you, but luckily the ring that Freya had spelled with my blood saved you. Still - he put a curse on. And you are now in the realm of the Sandman."
"The Sandman?" Elena looks at Elijah puzzled.
"Yes. He has graciously let me see you. Until we find the way to free you of the curse."
"Elijah, I need you to look after Jeremy, please. Promise me."
"It goes without saying." Elijah caresses the brunette's face lovingly."
"I love you" Elena's eyes flood with tears.
Elijah pulls her into a kiss. Sweet, loving, deep kiss.
As they release, he rests his forehead against hers. “I love you, too” he says, barely above a whisper.
He closes his eyes. He knows that the time to part was nigh as he can sense Morpheus standing close behind them.
