I’ve been in a Kingdom Hearts mood recently (if you couldn’t already tell) and trying to continue writing my KH The Three Brother Fanfiction:

And I’ve had this image stuck in a head my head since. Of Sora always being friends with the Dream-Eaters and plays with them in his dreams so I wanted to draw it.

Came out really cute 😍. This was originally hand drawn but the proportions turned out really odd when I looked at it so I fixed it and coloured it digitally.

I was thinking of doing one with Baby Riku and his bat Dream-Eater too. Would you like to see it? Let me know.

it's also like 1:59 am

moving on, in sakis part of the story, her end is the layout for a chain of events that lead up to where they are now and tsukasa is the catalyst, what sparked that final moment and set things into motion.

sakis story follows the main event of Leo/Need, taking place right after the group is freshly reformed

of course there are a lot of fights still, and because of her illness, saki feels disheartened in more ways than one this time. not being able to help settle things with her friends, being too sick to even visit them, etc.

a lot is running through her mind during her time in the hospital and it all goes downhill even faster when another fight breaks out between ichika and shiho this time. the situation could've been easier to manage if honami was there but she had to stay behind that day.

the quarreling comes to a halt when saki begins crying, she's been crying almost the entire time but her sobs were masked by the arguments of the other two. this obviously gets them to stop and they start to hover over saki apologizing and attempting to calm her down but saki gets up and hides away in the hospital bathroom instead.

the two girls did try to get her out to talk to her but eventually visiting hours were closed and they headed out. after they left, saki started to give up and even regret her many attempts to get her old friends to come back together after finally seeing how difficult it is for them to get along at this point and time.

so she decided to stop and give up. she convinced herself that her efforts only hurt them more than helped them, and that was far what she originally intended. after she was released she called a meeting in the sekai and announced her resignation, leaving amidst their protests, mainly from ichika and shiho, and questions mixed with a request for an explanation of what happened from honami.

saki went home and never told tsukasa what happened until she saw him in the same state she was in

sad, wounded, and overall a far cry from who they were before the events that led up to their dreams being shattered and eaten up by a wound that was carved too far deep for comfort.

so she confronted tsukasa first, pestering him to tell her what's wrong until he did. and she told him too

and so they decided to make a song together

then another

then another

what they wanted was a way of coping with what they lost, they didn't expect their feelings to speak to thousands of people nor to get as popular as they did.

this was the start of the producers "BACKSTAGE", the first substructure and blueprint for what would be DreamEater x BACKSTAGE

Withered Garden au is essentially Kingdom Hearts: Cat Collector lol.

Ortensia (top right) is Kairi’s main companion, seeing as Kairi is looking for the cat’s fiancé.

Namine’s Sentinels would work more or less like the dreameaters, so they come in a variety of forms, including feline!

Cait Sith (top left) would be a reoccurring side character who accompanies Kairi on some things related to his overarching side quest.

With SoRiku being compared to Sleeping Beauty at times I give you this Idea.

Reverse Sleeping-Beauty au. Sora has insomnia but a kiss from Riku can put him to sleep. Every Night Sora NEEDS a good night kiss from Riku or he can’t sleep.

May or may not include DreamEater Riku. Just Cranky Sora wanting to take a nap but Riku says no or isn’t home

It’s entirely unclear on Riku’s end if he actually needs the kiss or is just clingy, but Riku’s not complaining

Also this poses the question on whether Riku’s kiss itself is magic or he just casts a rlly good sleep ha

"Give it back this instant! As a future retainer to the Great and Honourable Prince Malleus, I won't be moked this way!" Sebek ran frantically between his father's friends sons, his efforts in vain to get his bone back between the two werewolf boys. Silver's attention was drawn to the commotion as Lilia and Sebek's father, and his friend conversed, trudging over to find out what was going on. He kept a tight grip on his pillow and blanket as he settled next to Sebek, who was fuming and near tears at this point, hugging himself with the one arm he had kept. "It's mocked." Silver rubbed his eye sleepily. "Not mocked. And could you two please stop it? My friend needs his arm. If you're looking for bones, my father can show you where the humans bury theirs." Sebek had a small, angry fit over being corrected, but settled, pouting and glaring at the older boys. Evidently, they hadn't heard, or chose not to hear Silver. Silver sighed softly, setting up his blanket, but not for one of his normal naps. "YOU BETTER STOP BEFORE MY BEST FRIEND GETS MY ARM BACK FORC-FORCING.....BY FIGHTING YOU!" Sebek's voice carried much louder than Silver's, causing the boys to stop their play fighting over Sebek's arm, before laughing. "What.....the kid on the ground?" Sebek glanced over to see Silver curled up on his pillow, snoring softly, before grinning widely a the two boys and putting his hands- ....hand on his hip. "I'd give it back right now if I were you! He's charging up!" "He's sleep-" The boy's retort was cut short as his brother sniffled, starting to weep. Immediately he turned to tend to his brother, concerned, but the boy just laughed softly. "Remember when...." He started rambling incoherently about a memory he had forgotten, a positive experience that caused his brother to get emotional as well, hugging him. In doing so, he dropped the bone that was Sebek's arm, giving him time to run in and grab it, shake the saliva off it, and try to reattach it before poking at Silver's back gently with his shoe. "I don't get why you don't just scare them like everyone else woulda done..." Silver stirred slowly, rubbing his eyes, before smiling sleepily at Sebek. "You got your arm back, and nobody got hurt. Why does it matter?" Sebek just huffed in response. "I'll take that as a thank you. Now come on, let's go back to father before they decide they want another bone to chew on."

She's a seedling of Unn, a mosskin of some new kind that's also a Dreameater. Half plant half bug, she monches on essence at night and fruit by day haha~ Sprouty also loves dirt baths and misting~ Deep water scares her and since she's kind of a very big grub, she doesn't have a sense of her own size and strength.

No one is certain what she's going to grown into or how so everyone is always excited and curious when ever they learn something new about her. She oddly molts often when ever eating a decent amount of dreams~

Mugo and Willow are her adoptive parents

The two are overjoyed to have her since they wanted to have kids together but the unfortune happened... luckily they now have Sprout~

One extra bonus: There is a side character I liked a lot when thinking (and visiting in AU) about the Temples of the Rising Gales where Taka originates from. Sadly, I have no design for them and I kind of forgot what I named them for the RP. ;u; it's been awhile.

They're an adult but still a silkworm in stage. In the temples of almost all flying bugs (since reaching them and moving around the temples is hard), they live among the students in their own secluded little workshop on the pillar, bridged from several sides to the rest of the cliff side towards the temples. They are an architect and also a mechanic by hobby, spending a lot of time making wind models, wind chimes and wind powered thingamajigs. While not a student themselves, the silkworm is a good friend, albeit rather shy to meetings and often just focused on creating.

When ever the storms are brewing, their creations ring and chime strongly to the gusts of wind and everyone in the temple knows it's time to prepare for hours or reflection in meditation until the storm passes...~

anyway, more on that sekai au i have

the official title is -DreamEater x Backstage-

and this one is gonna focus on the characteristic changes with the tenmas (including aoyagi), hinomori and akiyama, but this post specifically is gonna focus on mr. tenma (i might edit the group to include mafuyu instead but i don't know just yet)

anyway, starting off with the burnt out star himself:

Tsukasa Tenma

the main focus of his character can be summed up to a "shooting star"

a star that's fallen (kinda). to sum it up, basically ruis comment got a little too deep into tsukasas skin and it broke him, so he called the troupe together (which was also hard enough to do on his own) and personally apologized to them. this was mixed in with self pity and genuine regret for yelling at nene. he resigns himself from the troupe and gives up acting altogether, essentially leaving rui and the rest in a silent, bitter confusion

tl;dr he lets his mistake with nene get too far into his skin and he gives up, letting that star act he built up crumble from his acclaimed "arrogance" and being "called out" on it

i'll get to saki next, but there's tsukasas end of things

edit: i realize this explanation is a bit confusing, so later on when i get the story lined up better i'll give a better explanation for all of them. for now i hope this will suffice, sorry,,!

Okay for the Character ask:

Okay okay so

First impression: So DDD was my first kh game, okay. I had seen kh crossover fanart with mha and stuff before. So when I witnessed him the first time in this game I thought Riku was cool and very pretty. Instant fav.

Impression now: Still very cool. Still fav. Now he's just much more of a dork. Pretty gay dork who seems cool on the surface but cares about his best friend. Dude has been through a lot and I love him and he's just really growing up but also finally getting the chance to just *be* instead of being forced to grow up too fast. I want great things for him and would write essays for him

Favorite Moment: Hmmmm that's a really hard one (There are just soooo many good ones). So off the top of my head I'll say...the scene in the RoD in kh3 with Mickey. I'm trying not to make everything with him about Sora, but it's just one of those scenes that both proves to us the nature of his feelings for Sora AND shows how far he's come. Sure he's still got his regrets and demons, but for a boy with so much trauma and mistakes, it's...monumental almost that the realm of darkness doesn't suffocate him. He's *healing*. He's reaching the metaphorical dawn. He's finally achieved the balance of light and dark, his past is no longer an anchot dragging him down and constantly haunting him. He's accepted who he used to be, what he did, and who he is, and in a combination of his growth and his love for Sora, it's as if no other feelings matter. He can’t be afraid, because all he can feel is love. He can’t be afraid, because this place doesn't hurt like it used to. My boy is growing and accepting things about himself, and although his arc is nowhere near over, it's a moment that helps solidify how far he's come over the series.

Idea for a story: Like, story about him? Like a fanfic? Or where I would like to see him go? Au wise I've got plenty, one of my favs in the drafts being the Barbie and the Nutcracker inspired Soriku au where Riku is the once prince turned nutcracker. Canon wise, I'd love to do some explanation on how the year where Sora was missing has affected him or even focusing on him during the year Sora was asleep. Idk. At the moment though I've been working on post canon type stuff where dude is just domestic with his husband and mostly free from the responsibilities of being a keyblade master. Idk.

Unpopular opinion: Can't say I'm too good at these because it's hard to determine if my opinions are *actually* unpopular sometimes. I guess mine is that I actually loved his Semi long look, especially at the beginning of kh3 when he was wearing his new clothes. Like obviously I'm more of a long haired Riku lover, so kh2 riku hair is more my style (although I would love him to have that kind of long hair but out of his face so it looks like he's properly caring for it), but shots of kh3 Riku semi long hair version in the realm of darkness are some of my favorites and I reject the horseshoe crab hair slander

Favorite relationship: Okay yeah this is no secret. Soriku. And in any flavor. Romantic? Check. Queerplatonic? Check. Best friends? Check. Ex best friends current angsty enemies? Check. They are versatile to so many good flavors and all I care about is that they get to be together forever, no matter the nature of their relationship. While I am a huge fan of Soriku becoming canon as long as they both get to be alive and happy with each other I could not care the nature of their relationship in canon specifically. I just want Riku to be happy.

Favorite headcanon: This is probably a dumb one, but my fav is that Riku just like could barely handle sweets until he became Sora’s dreameater. Like Terra, he's not much for sweets, but then he becomes a dreameater and has more of a sweet tooth than Sora. Riku is definitely not the only fictional character I've inflicted this headcanon on😂

it has been renamed to Tidal Ballad, and perhaps. although i since expanded      on the lore so much with my friends that i think it deserves a series of its own rather than being a DCA AU, which is something i don’t have the energy to make. if at some point i do obtain the energy to continue writing for this series, then yeah i probably will

not sure, honestly. i’ve been in a mood for normal writing, lately, but i’m making new blogs that you can get to from my pinned post for normal writing + angst/whump writing. i’ve also expanded my horizons to... cuphead. yeah i don’t think anyone saw that coming but what can i say, i’m a simp for satan /j
