An EEG Plurality Study Might Actually Be Kinda Easy To Do

Hey everyone, so I just looked it up and EEG is actually relatively cheap. If you attend a university, there might be a lab with it ready to go that you don't even know about.

So all you'd need is a few volunteers and you could maybe fairly easily do a proof-of-concept, first-of-its-kind(?) study of non-disordered plurality.

Currently waiting for a response from my university's neuroscience department. If you have access to the necessary equipment and potential participants, please contact me. Even being able to combine the results from two volunteer groups would be huge.

Imagine, being in the ICU with your partner, both laying in your hospital beds, equipment all around the both of you, and receiving the same treatment…

You weakly turn your head to the side, very drowsily from all the drugs you they are pumping you with, there are about eight nurses surrounding your partner’s bed, adjusting equipment. When they move you see your partner in between the curtains and the machines: eyes rolled back, electrodes all over their scalp, feeding and breathing tubes all going into their nose, their mouth opened and drooly, pressure cuffs, ECG, more tubes, more wires… Not even recognizing them because they are covered in all of that, needy and weak. And you get so much pleasure from seing your partner hooked up to medical machines and knowing that you look the same as them and that you share this moment.

Super annoyed that they didn’t proceed with the test, but they were trying to decide if I needed to go to a hospital or not. They ended up calling my mom to come get me so I could go get some rest

Tomorrow is such a nervewracking day. I have a neurology appointment, and I'll be finding out the results of my EEG/finding out if we caught any epileptic activity on it. I'm freaking out because I've been having convulsive seizures, and I just want to find out the source of them and if they aren't epileptic in nature it honestly feels like it's going to set me back one step in recovery.

hav you seen eeg headsets and what do think of them if so?

I really like them and want the one with actuated cat ears I saw years ago. I've had to put on eegs head probes a couple times for studies, experiments and medical stuff but they were all the ones they need to stick one at a time with adhesive and annoyed me so much. Would have loved for a proper headset

Actually don't furries use them to control their VR avatars? I needa figure out how I can use them on vtube models of my sona that'd be so sick

So I'm having a 72 EEG done. I get it taken off Monday. That means that my brain activity during the next episode of IWTV will be documented.

I think I'm going to ask the doctor what he observes during the time period I watch the episode.
