Deep, deep breaths.
That tangle of nerves in your stomach you might be feeling right now... it will be, I hope, the very last time you feel it.
Soon, the feeling will be replaced with a joyful fluttering in the stomach, that there's extremely good news. It could be the one you've been waiting for... the rightful return of the man you've been supporting for so long to HW. Finally his good name's attached to a new project. The phoenix is reborn.
It could be news that he's gotten a new place, that there are more pictures of him enjoying his life, his friends, protecting his peace. Maybe it's news that he's continuing on his journey of self-care and being the support system that others need, and that he's so good at being. Whatever it is, it will be good news. We've seen a trickle of it for a while now... but there will be a steady stream of it... soon.
Because he's trying, he's telling his story. We can debate 'til the cows come home about what is being told, but in the end, we'll be right there with him, like we have from the very beginning. Because we've always known just what kind of man he is (and I can say with confidence, a good one) and we love him.
We got this. He's got this. 💙🫂 Together now.. upwards and onwards.

Irony Of Life. I've often listened intensely to the studio albums and a few live recordings Àyìnlá Ọmọwúrà the son of Yusuf Gbogbolòwò. On the road, very loud PA system, in transit, in the quiet of my room, even in my sleep. I got more curious when I was going to record Ọpẹ́ Olóore https://youtu.be/PPbW1dA0uWY for my birthday earlier in the year. I must say this here; the details of what happens under Àyìnlá's voice; Adéwọlé's drum and Tájù's ṣẹ̀kẹ̀rẹ̀ never sounded this clear even as I walk on the very busy Oweh Street, Jíbówú/Fádèyí. The low ended support from Aliu (the man on the Àkúbá) and his interplay with Adéwọlé Onílù Ọlà is simply fascinating. Ẹja Ló N'ibú Ẹ Ò Fura. Volume 8 https://youtu.be/KXB4P3PEFU0 exposes the artistic expertise of those that were considered (Ẹ̀mí Anígilájé) by the man that sat on 200 needles and was hurt by none. HGUC 1/144 P-Bandai Principality of Zeon Mass Production Mobile Suit MS-06GD-01 "Zaku II" High Mobility Surface Type (Egba Alter Custom)
Finally finished!!! I've been working on this kit in the background for a couple of months now. I really loved these guys in the Cucuruz Doan's Island movie, as sort of unique upgraded Zaku IIs that skate around like the Doms from the original anime.
The part of this kit that originally attracted me was the camouflage pattern. All of the details are water decals. This was my first time working with them, and although I found them really frustrating to work with sometimes they give a much better looking effect than the dry decals and foil stickers from normal kits. I added some extra details inspired by some of my friends' tank models, including a cam-net cape made using a gauze bandage (that isn't actually there on Egba's machine in the anime).
There are 5 versions of this machine, for the members of the Southern Cross Corps. Egba Alter's version comes with a combat knife in place of the classic Zaku II heat hawk. This can be held as a sidearm and attached to the hip skirt or fixed as a bayonet to the zaku machine gun.

The kit also comes with a spare pan magazine, which I've attached to the opposite hip.
Egba's mobile suit has a heat rod attached to the backpack, which comes with a heat-off and heat-on option. I added some red to make it look more like heated metal and less like a big yellow stick.

Overall I'm really really happy with how this kit turned out! I'm nearly done with my really long backlog and I'm finally starting to fill up my display.

Armie! I know you won't see this, but I want to let it be known that I'm extremely proud of you. Your resilience and sobriety are an amazing example to me, I've never doubted you for a second since all the lies started to be spread about you. Thank you for not giving up, thank you for putting in the work to be a better person to others around you, but most importantly thank you for giving yourself the love you deserve. Long life, my dear, God bless you and your children. 💙

I'm so happy for Armie. He was suffering for so long, all that was so hard and painful - but it was so worthy of freedom! He survived, he won, he took his freedom and dignity, he got a fair custody on his beloved kids, in the end he got everything on HIS (very fair) condition - using outcome of her incredible stupidity, toxicity, vindictiveness and narcissistic cuntiness against her - and she got big fat ZERO. He even let her sort of to save the face with not suing her and giving her that laughable symbolic 1.5K minimum (personally I would throw her in court and let her to rote in hell, but Armie's much better and more noble man than me). Now it's ALL over. Fly free, my dear man, only onwards and upwards! Take everything you lost back. I'm respect and admire you more and more every day and will wait for your comeback. EGBA 💙💙💙 P.S. Special thanks to Laura Wasser

Black History Month: The Agojie
“As the blacksmith takes an iron bar and by fire changes its fashion, so we have changed our nature. We are no longer women, we are men.”
The Agojie were regiments of soldiers in the army of the Kingdom of Dahomey - present day Benin - in the 18th and 19th centuries.
They were all assigned female at birth but they expressed their gender in a variety of ways in their war songs. Some renounced womanhood, and identified themselves as men. At other times, as a group they embraced womanhood in their war songs, linking it to their superiority over male regiments in the army, singing, for example “Lionesses are more fearsome than lions./Because she has her cubs to defend…”
At the height of their power, the Agojie were considered the backbone of the Dahomean army, numbering around 8000, or a third of Dahomean soldiers. They were renowned as skilled, fearless fighters who never retreated. Oral histories tell how during an attack on the Egba city of Abeokuta, an Agojie broke through the Egba ranks and scaled the city walls, before turning her back on the Egba, taking a seat, and beginning to smoke a pipe.
At home in Dahomey, the Agojie held a high status. British naval officer Arthur Wilmot describes how they were “fully aware of the authority which they possess, which is seen in their bold and free manner, as well as by a certain swagger in their walk.”

SEH-DONG-HONG-BEH // WARRIOR
“She was a leader of the Dahomey Amazons. In 1851, she led an all-female army consisting of 6,000 warriors against the Egba fortress of Abeokuta, to obtain slaves from the Egba people for the Dahomey slave trade. She was portrayed in a hand drawn, partially colored portrait in her uniform, armed with a musket and holding a captive's severed head, in the 1851 book "Dahomey and the Dahomans" by abolitionist Frederick Edwyn Forbes.”
