From Manual to Digital: The Rise of Assisted Living Software

For years, assisted living facilities and group homes relied on paper records to manage resident care. However, paper documentation is prone to errors, misplaced records, and time-consuming processes. With the growing demand for accuracy and efficiency, facilities are now turning to digital solutions like eMAR and group home documentation software to streamline operations.
The Shift from Paper-Based to Digital Solutions
A big issue in assisted living is medication mistakes. According to the National Coordinating Council for Medication Error Reporting and Prevention (NCC MERP), medication mistakes affect thousands of patients annually. EMAR software lowers these risks by automating drug tracking, offering real-time updates, and guaranteeing compliance with healthcare laws.
The Role of eMAR Software in Medication Management
Group homes handle private resident information, including daily activities, medical history, and incident reports. Standard paper documentation raises the possibility of mismanagement. Group home documentation systems streamline resident records, provide secure access, and enhance caregiver communication. This guarantees correct and timely treatment for the people.
Group Home Documentation Software Enhances Care Quality
Government rules, including HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), provide for the safe treatment of medical records. Assisted living software guarantees encrypted resident data access limited to authorized staff only. Digital documentation also facilitates institutions' easy meeting of state and federal compliance standards.
Compliance and Security in Assisted Living Software
As technology develops, more facilities will use eMAR software and group home documentation software to increase care effectiveness. Modern assisted living systems often include automated alarms, remote access, and analytics driven by artificial intelligence. These developments improve resident safety and operational effectiveness; hence, digital solutions are absolutely necessary for the direction of assisted living.

I always love more variety in my game, and I love the conversion of The Sims careers to The Sims 2 by LientebollemeiS2I. I wanted to make them more integrated though, so with the permission of LientebollemeiS2I, here are my amendment's to these careers to include:
Chance cards (for every level)
Different career levels (since some of the levels match other careers)
Connection to University Majors
LifeTime wants! The only things they don't have are specific career rewards and Wants that will roll in the Wants and Fears panel.
Please see below for a list of the career levels (the first three levels are matched for Teen/Elder) and also links if you need information such as job descriptions, wages, work days and skill requirements:
Animal Care (https://sims.fandom.com/wiki/Animal_care)
SimFileShare or MediaFire

There are four files per career (eg. AdultCareer_AnimalCare, AdultCareer_AnimalCare_Conditions, AdultCareer_AnimalCare_LTW and TeenElderCareer_AnimalCare).
All four files are required and can just be put straight into your downloads folder.
You will notice some of the above career levels do not match the original careers. Some of the levels are already represented in other careers in the game, so I decided to swap some around and include some new jobs.
These files have new GUID numbers, so they should not conflict with other downloads, even the original versions of these careers.
The Lifetime Wants are also compatible with @lamare-sims 50 New Lifetime Wants for Sims 2: https://modthesims.info/download.php?t=669675
I'd like to thank the following members of our community for their assistance in these updates:
@sims2idea-lientebollemeis2i for creating the converted careers to begin with and providing their permission to share my amendments. Their original careers can be found here: https://s2idownloads.blogspot.com/search/label/SFS%20-%201t2%20Maxis%27%20Careers
@lamare-sims for creating the 50 New Lifetime Wants for Sims 2 mod and providing me assistance in making the Lifetime Wants compatible with their mod.
@sharlasims for her assistance and support with creating the chance cards.
@teaaddictyt For her Photoshop skills and support with converting the career icons.
@episims for their assistance troubleshooting the career outfits.
@rio-sims & @palominocorn for creating a tutorial on how to create Lifetime Wants.
I hope you enjoy my version of these careers and please do not hesitate to contact me if you run into any trouble. 06/07/2023 - EDIT: Thank you to @lamare-sims who found some errors in the files. I have fixed the LTW and Conditions files to reflect some correct instance numbers and I have reuploaded the zip files to include up the amended files. Please replace these two files for each career if you have already downloaded it. 05/08/2023 - UPDATE: @bothersomecryptid has touched up the icons and been kind enough to share them! They made them with to work better with the Clean UI. You just need to replace the images in the career file through SimPE. You can download at this link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1q5j3AniepLh_lE_kgWgOYOkZkq9EzHNJ/view 03/09/2023 - EDIT: Thank you to @equinoxts2 and @lamare-sims for their further edits to the conditions files. I have reuploaded all files as new links, so feel free to replace the ones in your game. Children should no longer roll LTW's and you shouldn't get any errors when choosing these LTW's. 06/09/2023 - @venomander has been kind enough to create alternative icons for the careers. You can download them at these links: MediaFile 1

bog tour - countdown to 1 year of games
T MINUS 1 DAY - decide what I write next!
If you've been seeing my posts so far, you may have noticed I started 16 days before April 1st, but only have 15 games. Well, today is a bit of a mix of things! I'll have an overview of stats, overall reflections on my first year of games, future plans and sneak peaks, and, get this, a poll of some current ideas I have, so you, my lovely blog readers can decide what game I write next, so stay tuned till the end of the post for that!
Stats
Gross revenue: $545.38USD Payments: 152 Views: 6,568 Downloads: 1,304 Itch followers: 1,304 8 of my 15 games are wetland themed!
Reflections
Gosh, where do I even start! I think one of the best things this little venture into ttrpg design has given me is community! From the unofficial Wanderhome discord server giving me my very first foray into ttrpg content with prompts for playbooks aaaages ago, to joining KiwiRPG, Aotearoa's collective of ttrpg designers, to the Creekside Community Center, which is the full of the most lovely welcoming cool people (I mostly lurk but when I do post, everyone is so kind?!), to my little tumblr ttrpg design circle. People being excited about my games with me is delightful!!!
I could mention boring things like formatting, layout, graphic design, font, software, art, and more, but eh.
Instead I'll mention the sheer innovation present in indie ttrpgs. I've seen some of the most creative, genius, well-crafted content in my entire life within indie ttrpgs spaces, and sometimes they have 2 comments and have the worst formatting you've ever seen, or are just on a google doc.
Instead I'll mention that way that the community enfolds beginners and people who need assurance.
The themes that I've explored in my ttrpg design, many of which I am not yet ready to explore directly, instead needing the distance but also closeness of the lense of ttrpgs.
Community is such a key part of ttrpg design, at least to me, and I feel so held by these communities. Thank you to every person who's interacted with my games, whether by playing, rbing, liking, or even just looking at them. If you've left a review, or a comment, or an emoji reaction on a discord promo message I wrote, ngā mihi nunui.
I hope, in the next year, I can make more games about being Māori. About being takatāpui. About being queer. About hope. About determination. About endurance. About love. About community care. And yes, about wetlands.
Future plans/sneak peaks
I've got two games in progress right now! One is Star Waka, a game about Māori spaceship crews. I have previously posted some small snippets, but have decided to start fresh so no sneak peaks of that besides what the playbooks will (likely, maybe) be:
Ringatoi - the Artist
Rangatira - the Chief
Kaikaranga - the Caller
Kairarangā - the Weaver
Kaumatua - the Elder
Tohunga - the Expert
Rangatahi - the Youth
Kaitiaki - the Guardian
As well, I've got a whole game finished, which I'll be releasing... tomorrow, on my 1 year anniversary! Here's a sneak peak:
What should I write next?
Thank you if you've made it through these bog tour posts, or even if you've come straight to this poll, thanks too! So, here goes, which should I write next?

art tips for your delicious art? also what apps do you use? where do you get references? fav brushes? tablet/phone/laptop/PC u use??
okidoki so! lemme list some stuff :
tips :
don’t care too much about the sketch unless your sketch is going to be your lineart, which is going to be hella good for your render.
for colours it really depends on what you wanna go for but having reference pictures off of pinterest and colour picking what you vibe with is good!
play with brushes and the options of your layers ! (overlay, multiply etc etc)
study anatomy and perspective (tip i made for my bestie right below on how to draw profiles)

apps (this will depend on what i gotta work on)
— krita : super good and free art software that i used a lot for some of my more realistic art

— procreate : got an ipad pretty recently because i want to work on commissions and this allows me to work faster on sketches

and photoshop sometimes, mostly used for my hw like storyboarding (don’t have examples for these ones sorryyyy)
references :
gonna pull out the obvious card but pinterest is the one i use most of the time, the rest for references are either pics i take of myself in the position i want the character(s) to be in or pics i took in art galleries i went. i do follow a few different artists on instagram because their technique is really good and interesting
fav brushes
krita : giving u a link to all of my brushes right here
procreate : for my inking generally i use the GvW ELDER 3.0 from the GvW Ink brush set, the rest i haven’t used much unless it’s for specific things for sceneries such as city windows and plants

tablet/laptop
my ipad is the Ipad Pro (10.5-inch), i don’t have any pressure curve on it so i play with the opacity of my brushes. when it comes to krita though i use my pc (acer n22c1 nitro 5) and my wacom intuos tablet ✨
there u go! that’s p much all the info for ur questions but if u need any specification do send them !! 🫶

AU where Light isn't Kira and the case is over and the task force has disbanded but L is still in Light's life somehow and still thinks he's Kira even though it's been literal years since Kira existed
There's a knock at the door.
Quillsh sighs. Taps his foot — call, response. The door creaks open behind him.
"I can't sleep," L says.
"I am not upping your sedative dose."
"It's not that." Strangely petulant. "You know I could get more myself if I wanted to."
"What is it, then?"
No answer. Quillsh swivels around. He recognizes the sheaf of paper in L's hands almost instantly.
"L," he says, trying for gentle and landing on tired. "It's been three years."
"It was too easy."
This is Quillsh's fault, really. He's the one who raised L into what Interpol calls a stimulation-seeking deduction machine. It is no surprise that it would be vulnerable to this type of software bug. But how could he have known to patch—
No, he reminds himself. L is a person. He cares about L, and he knows L cares about him, in his own way. Quillsh gets like this sometimes when he's stayed in the darkness of the computer room for too long; he starts seeing bits and pieces of machinery in everyone. Even L. Especially L.
The other children — it's best not to think about them.
"You know the notebook works," he reminds L, who is still standing motionless, framed by light. "You tested it. You know Kuroha confessed."
"Kitamura," L mumbles to himself. "Yes, under duress."
"As I recall, you were the one to suggest the duress."
L lifts his eyes to the ceiling, then back down. "She could have had an accomplice."
"If she did, they aren't active anymore."
"She could have been framed."
"L," Quillsh says. "Heart attacks have returned to their natural frequency and stayed there. For three years."
The room is dark, but Quillsh is a sharpshooter and so it is easy to see L's knuckles whiten in his pincered grip on the standard college-ruled notebook paper. "You tell them to never leave a lead unturned, don't you, Watari?"
That gives him pause. "What?"
"My successors," L says, voice going flat.
"Of course." Well, Quillsh isn't the one telling them that. Roger is. He wonders, briefly, how Roger is doing, and then stops wondering. "They look up to you, you know. They don't know about the current situation, but…"
"I'm aware." And then L smiles, incongruously bright. "So I'm being a good role model. Justice investigates until the very end."
Quillsh blinks at him.
L sighs. "That wasn't very good, was it?"
"L," and he really isn't equipped for this, is he, but he tries anyway: "You know it's alright for you to want to go to college. To… take a break. We wouldn't judge."
"I don't ever want to take a break," L mutters. "This isn't a break. It has to be him."
Ah. There it is.
"Light Yagami."
"He could have done it," L says, letting go of one corner of the note paper to lift a thumb to his mouth. "You can't deny that it would be interesting. He could have set up the whole thing."
Interesting is… an interesting word for it. Quillsh nods his assent regardless.
"But there's just no evidence." L chews harder on his fingernail. Quillsh resists the urge to tell him to stop. "Tens of thousands of people dead, Watari. No evidence for his involvement at all."
"Well, because he wasn't involved."
"He has to be," L says. "I'm not wrong about these things."
Quillsh coughs.
L's eyes are on him in an instant. "What is it?"
"Nothing."
"You were going to say something."
Well. No point hiding it anymore. How is he supposed to say this out loud, though?
He coughs again, just for good measure, then says, "How do you feel about Mr. Yagami?"
"The younger one?" L tilts his head. "He's talkative."
Helpful. "Anything else?"
"…He's very suspicious."
Teenagers, Quillsh thinks, with the bone-deep conviction found in those in their elder years that everyone below forty is essentially a teenager.
"You've been his friend for three years," he says. "It's natural to become attached."
L's gaze goes from oppressive to baffled. "What?"
"I don't want you to think that you're barred from making human connections…"
"He's not my friend," L scoffs, as though correcting Watari about the color of the sky. "He's my suspect."
"Does he know that?"
"Yes," L says. "Yes, I think he does."
"And he doesn't mind?"
"He says he doesn't, but it gets to him." The spark in his eyes is as close to a real smile as L gets when he hasn't won a case. "Isn't that strange? Sometimes he'll tell me how upset it makes him, but those times are when he's least upset."
"…I'm glad you're having fun," Quillsh says.
"I'm not," L says, immediately dead serious. "I won't be until I catch him."
What is he to say to that?
"When you do, I'll be there."
"Thank you."
"Was that all?"
"Hm." L looks at one corner of a ceiling. "Yes. I think it was. Goodnight, Watari."
"Goodnight, L," Quillsh says, and watches his — ward, let's say; that's the least charged word he can think of — pad away into the darkness once more.

Writing Ojibwe Characters: A Basic Guide
Creating well-rounded, respectful Ojibwe characters takes a bit of research and consideration. This guide gives a quick overview of things to think about when writing Ojibwe people and incorporates some context to avoid common pitfalls. Writing any Indigenous character means approaching with care, so let’s dive in!
1. Understand Ojibwe Culture and Community
Get to know the basics of Ojibwe culture, beliefs, and values. My people, the Ojibwe (also spelled Ojibwa, Ojibway, or Chippewa) are part of the Anishinaabe people. We are present across Canada and the northern U.S. Midwest, with diverse communities that each have their own practices and perspectives.
Community-centered thinking: Many Ojibwe people have a strong sense of connection to community and family. Recognize that we tend to prioritize our connections and often have a deep relationship with our elders and youth.
Language and terminology: Use respectful terms. The Ojibwe language (Anishinaabemowin) is central to identity, even if a character doesn’t speak it fluently.
2. Avoid “Spiritual Mysticism” Stereotypes
Steer clear of clichés about Indigenous mysticism. Instead, focus on how Ojibwe spirituality is lived in everyday ways—whether through ceremonies like smudging, seasonal celebrations, or even just respecting the land and ancestors. Characters don’t need to be “shamans” or mystical guides to show their culture.
Spirituality in balance: While many Ojibwe people honor spirituality, each person practices differently. Just as in any culture, some may be very connected to it, while others are more secular.
3. Use Realistic Names and Nicknames
Ojibwe names often have meaning and are given in specific cultural contexts, sometimes in ceremonies or after significant events. If using an Ojibwe name, make sure it’s well-researched, and consider including a backstory on how it was given to your character.
Nicknames are common and can range from family names to personal traits. Think about nicknames that resonate with your character’s personality and family background rather than something “exotified.”
4. Research Traditional Roles, Not “Warrior” Stereotypes
Ojibwe people are often cast as “warriors” or “stoic fighters,” which is limiting. In reality, Ojibwe communities have had diverse roles throughout history, including diplomats, healers, artisans, teachers, and more.
Consider what makes sense for the time and place your character lives in—an Ojibwe character could be a modern-day artist, teacher, software developer, veteran, or lawyer. Complex portrayals highlight our adaptability and contemporary lives.
5. Acknowledge History Without Making Trauma the Focus
Many Indigenous communities, including Ojibwe, have endured hardships like colonization, boarding schools, and loss of land. However, it’s essential not to reduce characters to trauma alone. Show their resilience, joy, humor, and everyday experiences alongside their histories.
Avoid “tragic backstory syndrome”: A good character is multidimensional. Balance struggles with strengths, showing how they thrive in the modern world while honoring their roots.
6. Respect Language and Use It Thoughtfully
If your character speaks or knows Anishinaabemowin, use it respectfully and sparingly unless you're fluent. Small phrases or words can add depth without risking inaccuracies. If they use Ojibwe words, provide a translation for context.
Resource suggestion: Check out the Ojibwe People’s Dictionary for phrases, pronunciation, and examples of how the language fits into daily life.
7. Research and Connect With Indigenous Resources
For non-Indigenous writers, it’s important to engage with authentic sources and, if possible, speak with Ojibwe individuals or consult books, articles, or online resources created by Ojibwe authors and scholars.
Media to check out: Look for books, films, and articles by Ojibwe creators (such as works by Louise Erdrich or Gerald Vizenor) for direct perspectives.
8. Show Ojibwe Humor and Resilience
Ojibwe humor is a big part of the culture—often dry, sarcastic, and shared among family and friends. Including humor adds authenticity and breaks away from “stoic” stereotypes. Remember, we laugh, joke, and enjoy life as much as anyone else!
9. Give Credit and Respect Acknowledgments
Mention that you’ve researched Ojibwe culture and language if possible, and consider a small acknowledgment to the sources you used. It shows respect for our culture and the people who helped make the character accurate and relatable.
Sample Character Traits for Inspiration:
Joyful and witty, known for quick humor but deeply thoughtful.
Family-oriented, regularly calling or visiting relatives or helping out in the community.
Resourceful and resilient, finding creative ways to navigate the modern world while honoring traditional values.
Quietly proud, choosing to celebrate their heritage subtly but meaningfully, like wearing Ojibwe beadwork or carrying traditional items.
Writing an Ojibwe character respectfully and fully means creating someone real and complex. Remember, the best portrayals come from genuine understanding and thoughtful depiction. Happy writing, and Chi miigwech (thank you very much) for taking the time to represent us well! 🪶✨
And if you are ever confused, ask! I love answering questions about my culture!

A night to learn - Part 1/2
Summary: Aemond woke up in the middle of the night to hear his brother running from the house, again. He found him and decided to give him what he needed to keep him with him.
Warnings: DUBCON, TYPICAL TARGARYEN INCEST, profanity, innuendo, he/him pronouns, , fingering, oral m receiving, toxic behaviour, SoftDom!Aemond, MxM, begging, nsfw.
Rating: 18+, MDNI
English is not my first language.
Like many nights, Aemond had heard the front door close, trying to be discreet, and while it worked with their parents, it didn’t with him.
Their mother, Alicent, must have been in a deep sleep after drinking several glasses of wine to help down the sleeping pill—the only source of sleep—she took every night, and as for their father, he was too sick to notice anything, delirious in the medical room allotted to him on the other side of the enormous Targaryen estate.
Aemond hated knowing his brother had gone out again, ready to mess around; he would drink too much, sleep with anyone, and be rude to far too many people.
Aemond stared at the ceiling for a moment before sighing and extricating himself from the welcoming warmth of his duvet. If no one else could keep his brother on the straight and narrow, he had to do it. It wasn’t his role as the younger brother, it wasn’t his role at all. But the jealousy and hatred he felt at the mere thought of foreign hands on Aegon’s body were enough to make him get up.
He dressed quickly, all in black—as almost always—pulled on his boots, and started their father’s car, driving to the city center. Finding Aegon wasn’t difficult since he had recently installed a small, invisible, yet effective piece of software that gave him his brother’s precise location at any time of the day or night.
A nightclub- Of course-, built on two floors. That’s where Aegon had been for almost an hour now, and even in such a short time, Aemond was convinced he’d had enough time to drink or consume some substances capable of altering his faculties and his already poorly sharpened reasoning.
He entered the establishment without any problems, the bouncers stepping aside when they saw him arrive; if his appearance wasn’t enough to get him in, his name was.
Targaryen was a name as feared as it was respected, and Aemond had no qualms about using it, mainly to fetch his brother.
After wandering through several rooms—the GPS location was precise but not to the point of indicating which floor he was on—Aemond finally saw him; he was dancing among other people, his skin glistening with sweat and his eyes closed as his body swayed to the repetitive rhythm of the entrancing music. Aemond should have gone down, cut through the crowd, and taken him away in a minute, but he found himself momentarily paralyzed, hypnotized by what he saw. His elder brother danced with disconcerting ease, moving to the notes as if they were part of him, something Aemond was utterly incapable of doing.
But seeing the many other pairs of eyes fixed on his brother, he frowned and approached. Another was quicker, and before he could grab Aegon, a boy with brown hair was dancing with him, his body pressed against his brother’s.
His brother.
Anger electrified his being, setting his blood on fire and burning his whole body.
Without warning, Aemond seized the other boy and punched him in the face. A fight broke out, and Aegon stepped back, watching the scene as a confused and almost amused spectator.
When the other stopped getting up, simply raising a hand in a sign of surrender, Aemond looked up at his elder brother, his gaze on fire.
“Fuck, Aem, you should relax and... what are you doing here?”
“Shut up and follow me. We’re going home.”
“Home? You must be kidding, I just got here! You don’t like this kind of place, fine, go home and read and forget about me, I won’t be bored here, someone else will take care of me...”
The insinuation behind his words only sent Aemond to another level of anger, and this time he grabbed his brother with force, by the too-large and open collar of his T-shirt, pulling him violently against him. He could smell the vodka and peach, the syrup Aegon preferred with alcohol, he was so close to him, and it made him want to taste his lips.
Not now, he reprimanded himself mentally, not here.
“If you think I’m going to let the first jerk who comes along put their hands on you, you’re delusional. So now you’re going to do what I say and follow me.”
Even if Aegon had wanted to argue and refuse, he had no choice, dragged by force into the cool air that hit him. He was thrown by Aemond onto the back seat before shivering, looking up at him. But the little pill he had taken and the alcohol didn’t allow him to be lucid, not even conscious during the long minutes the return journey lasted.
“Get up. Follow me.”
The voice of his brother pulled him from the thick, cottony sleep he had sunk into. Blinking several times, his bewildered gaze landed on Aemond, who lost patience and grabbed his wrist. He pulled him out of the car, and Aegon, nearly falling, caught himself as best he could, almost ending up in Aemond’s arms.
“Take it easy, I didn’t do anything, no need to be mad...” he mumbled before meeting Aemond's single, furious eye, so angry it made him look away.
He didn't like how his younger brother managed to make him feel so vulnerable, inferior, and powerless. He had been the one to frighten him when they were children and now felt that the tables had turned; Aemond no longer feared him in the least, and worse, Aegon now felt a certain fear in return.
The younger's hand grabbed his face, forcing him to look at him.
“I am the only one to decide if I’m angry about having to search the whole city for my idiot brother who doesn’t have enough sense to take care of himself,” he began, whispering menacingly, pinning him against the car. “I get to decide if waking up in the middle of the night to babysit your sorry ass is a valid reason to be pissed.”
Faced with Aegon's feeble, uncertain growl, his eyebrows shot up in surprise.
“So now you're going to follow me, and we’re going to settle this once and for all.”
Aegon didn’t know what his brother meant by that and could only nod painfully before being roughly released. He did as he was told, following Aemond with minimal stumbling, guessing it would only anger his brother further. Once at his bedroom door, he reached for the handle, but Aemond was quicker. He grabbed his hand.
“Tsk tsk,” Aemond hissed, tilting his head to the side. “In mine.”
It wasn’t the first time Aegon had gone into his room—he would even come directly to Aemond's bed when too drunk after a night out—but the tone with which he ordered it sparked a strange feeling of unease.
“Listen, Aem, it’s fine, we’re home, you don’t need to take care of me and—”
This time, Aemond’s patience seemed to evaporate; his long, slender fingers tangled in Aegon’s messy hair and dragged him to his room. He threw him onto the floor, starting to remove his leather jacket, smiling slightly at seeing him on the ground, a flash of fear crossing his eyes.
“What’s the matter, brother, is something scaring you?” Aemond knelt to his level and placed two fingers under his chin. “Is it me you’re afraid of?”
“Wh- Don’t be stupid, I have no reason to be afraid of you,” Aegon replied, lifting his head as much as he could but still trying to back away as much as his uncomfortable position allowed.
“I’ve been taking care of you in many ways for a long time, my dear brother, but it seems I’ve missed the best way to do it. Because that’s what you’re looking for every night, isn’t it?”
Not understanding where Aemond was going with this, Aegon furrowed his brows, unable to tear his eyes away from his brother’s too-bright eye, hanging on his words, what he thought he knew about him, understood about him.
Because usually, no one understood him. Why would it be different coming from his younger brother?
How could this calm, composed, attentive, and studious young man, loved by their mother in a way Aegon could only envy from a distance, even begin to imagine what Aegon felt and desired?
Kneeling between his older brother’s legs, one hand firmly gripping Aegon’s tousled hair and the other sliding down his back, Aemond leaned in until their lips barely touched, then slowly let them glide to his ear.
“Attention. You waste your nights roaming these empty, meaningless places, hoping someone will give you that; attention, the very thing you can’t find here. And you hope one of those beings will take an interest in you, see you, maybe even understand you, but I think that desire is a bit too utopian—even for you.”
A shiver ran down Aegon's spine, momentarily stealing his breath, only to return in rapid, jagged gasps. His heart pounded so loudly in his ears that he feared Aemond might hear it, and if not already, the sound it made against his chest would betray him.
Aemond's sharp and angular face reappeared before his eyes, sharper than ever, more alive and burning than anything Aegon could recall. “You know I’m right, and it’s such a shame. None of them deserve your nights, your time, your energy, and... your body.”
As he said this, he pressed Aegon closer, causing Aegon's cock to harden involuntarily as Aemond's body nestled between his legs. “But don’t worry, I’ve found the solution. You won’t have to desperately seek attention from strangers anymore. You won’t have to because all my attention will be on you.”
Usually so eloquent and talkative, always ready with a stupid or hurtful remark, Aegon found himself speechless. His lips were parted, his eyes darting between Aemond’s single eye and his thin, moving lips. But before he could make a move, the pale pink lips he was staring at pressed against his.
The kiss was wild but not clumsy; Aemond knew exactly what he was doing, devouring him and claiming his mouth as if it was his due—which he probably thought it was.
Initially letting Aemond lead, Aegon eventually clung to the back of Aemond’s neck and his long, silky hair, groaning and moaning against his lips, letting his tongue dance with his.
He lost all sense of time when Aemond pulled back, his breath also a little short, his features adorned with a more serious expression than ever, like a predator.
Aegon had never seen him like this; he hadn’t realized his brother had grown so much, had changed, gained confidence and maturity, become so attractive and more self-assured than he had ever been. It unsettled him, but he didn’t have time to say anything as he was violently flipped over, ending up still on his knees but bent over the bed, his face on the soft sheets smelling of linden and mint.
In less than a second, Aemond was behind him, his own hardness rubbing against Aegon’s ass, making Aegon bite his lip to stifle a moan. Aemond's mouth attacked his neck, probably leaving purple marks, maybe even bloody ones at times, but Aegon didn’t care; his mind was lost somewhere between desire and shock, still not over what was happening.
“Since you often tell me about your nights of debauchery, I know exactly what you do to others, but, Aegon, I have a question that’s been bouncing around my head for a while.”
While one of his hands was on Aegon’s, the other began its descent along his ribs to gently but possessively caress his stomach under his T-shirt. Aemond felt a distinct shiver on Aegon's soft skin and smiled against his neck, biting again. The moan it elicited from his brother was his reward, prompting him to repeat the action several times.
His wandering hand brushed against Aegon's needy cock but denied him that pleasure, opting instead to grab his ass with force.
“Are you a virgin... here?” he asked, running his fingers along his brother’s ass, leaving no doubt about what he wanted to know. “Has anyone ever taken you? Has anyone ever claimed you? Tell me, Aegon, have you given your pretty little ass to a man?”
At first, Aegon refused to answer, biting his lip harder, but when Aemond's hand caressed him more intimately before moving to his belt, Aegon tried to stand, only to be pinned back against the bed.
“Answer me.”
Aemond's voice was cold and authoritative—just like him—but his body was so warm and desirous, the contrast nearly made Aegon tremble.
“Why do you want to know? It’s none of your business, I—”
Aemond bit him again, all the while stroking his brother's hard cock after unzipping his pants and slipping his hand inside; of course, Aegon hadn’t bothered with underwear, and Aemond found his warmth unexpectedly, to his delight.
“It is my business. You are my brother. So if someone has defiled you, I want to know.”
His strokes quickened, but when Aegon's pleasure was about to burst in his hand, Aemond stopped all movement, smiling sadistically against his ear.
“Answer me.”
Aegon groaned, collapsing helplessly against the bed as he tried to move his hips for any contact with Aemond's hand.
“No.”
“You’re being very stubborn for someone in your position.”
“No, I mean... no, no one has ever fucked me.”
“Oh.”
This revelation stirred a strange sensation in Aemond’s lower abdomen; he had never been harder than at this moment, thinking of his brother's virginity.
“Well, that’s very good. Something in you remains pure and untouched... and since nothing seems to calm or reason you, nothing is ever enough for you, it’s my turn to try and channel that overly fiery spirit in you.”
Aegon was about to turn his head to respond, to try to understand, mostly to try not to understand the implication, but two fingers entered his mouth before he could do so, moving in and out against his tongue. Docilely, he began to suck them, Aemond's other hand resuming its gentle, languorous rhythm on his painfully aroused cock.
His younger brother knew exactly how to play with him to silence him and bend him to his will, and even though the alcohol had numbed his thoughts earlier in the evening, Aegon now found himself sober from any substance since Aemond had started tending to him, and worse still, he felt he was becoming drunk on his brother’s ministrations.

ficlet prompt: Trinh POV of like. All Of That
'There's danger out there in the stars,' Granmeme always said. 'Maybe it'll be in five years, maybe fifty, maybe in five hundred, but don't doubt my mark, there's danger out there.'
'Yes Granmeme,' Trihn would always say, and then, 'Can I get you some coffee?'
And it wasn't that Trihn didn't believe the elders, exactly. How could anyone who paid a modicum of attention during history lessons? And even if you hadn't, the Adamantine Logo stared back at them from almost every other surface in the colony. Adamantine, the company that had founded the settlement, the company that had abandoned them, and the company which had, maybe, protected them?
Maybe, maybe not. And maybe the colony's existence was still listed out there, on some sort of spreadsheet 20 systems away. Maybe one day people would come looking for them.
But that was literally such a distant concern. Not when the plumbing on level 4 was still intermittently leaking green sludge, not when there were caterpillars in the bok choy beds, not when the lights in the south wing kept flickering.
No, if danger was going to come form anywhere, it would be in their own backyard, first and foremost.
Well, well, well. No doubt Granmeme was wagging mer finger at them from beyond the Great Event Horizon.
"We're so glad to have found you," Supervisor Leonide said, her voice oozing compassion even through the tinny translation software. "When your cousins at the initial base-camp first told us of a splinter group that had gone to found a secondary colony... And that it had been so long before any contact... Well, we were just so worried that something might have happened to you!"
"Why would you have assumed that?" asked Jerail, who's face remained impressively impassive as ze sipped the rich fresh coffee Barrish-Estranza had brought as a gift.
"Oh of course. You wouldn't know." A shocked and concerned expression. "I understand you left due alien remnant contamination at the initial site?"
"In part," agreed Trihn. That's the simple answer, at least. (She sipped the coffee. It was very good. It came from actual beans, not flavoured powder.)
"Well, you made a good choice! Over the last five years, the contamination became much more severe. Physical deformations, behavioural alterations... It's a terrible situation. That's why we're here, to help before it gets any worse."
It could have been a trick. They wanted it to be a trick. But Barrish-Estranza had pictures, videos. Even their expert didn't think they were faked. And this corporate envoy, they'd brought someone from the original colony to vouch for them. That person could have been an actor, except they spoke with a perfect Spirliet accent, and there was something of the Niziral clan in the bridge of the nose, in the shape of their cheeks.
Their claims were real. Some of them, at least.
Others were likely to come, Leonide said. While reasonable people could tell this planet was a wash, some people weren't reasonable. There were always those willing to take risks as they pushed the envelope of science. One needed to be careful when dealing with such risk-takers, lest you get sliced on the cutting edge.
And sure enough, another group came. From a university, they claimed. A smaller team, only four. This one did not come in two shiny fancy hoppers, loaded down with delicacies for the adults and toys for the kiddies. No, the university envoy saddled up in one of the colony's own pilfered hoppers, worn and wary.
The university envoy said that Barrish-Estranza were dangerous, that they were looking for an indentured work-force, that they would enslave the Adamantine colonists so severely that even their children's grandchildren would still be slaves. The university instead offered the colonists ownership of their own planet and/or safe relocation, free of charge.
Barrish-Estranza said that the university's offer was too good to be true, that they had clashed quite awfully with the other colonists and were looking for revenge, that they were looking for a naive population willing to stay behind as lab rats. Barrish-Estranza instead offered fair, gainful employment.
The only thing either group of strangers agreed upon was this: It wasn't feasible for their colonists to stay where they were.
But Trihn didn't want to leave. Of course she didn't. No, their underground bunker wasn't exactly luxurious. It was all grey steel and concrete, everything cobbled together from extra equipment. Yes, there were caterpillars in some of the hydroponics bays, and yes, some of the lights flickered. But wasn't it theirs? Hadn't they built it up over the past thirty years? Hadn't they carved out this sanctuary among the ice and snow? Didn't they have a sleet-ball court, and music recitals, and movie nights?
Wasn't this their home?
Could they really just be expected to leave it?
Opinions were all over the place, the leadership starting to splinter, just like it must have back at the original colony site. Lucia and his faction liked Barrish-Estranza, or at least liked the lifeline they offered. Zenchal's faction didn't trust any of this, didn't trust it one bit, thought they should shut the hatches and burrow deeper. Magnolio's faction went one step further, arguing that they should be opening up the armoury and preparing for a fight.
And Trihn. Trihn just didn't know.
{What do you think, Addy?} she asked the AI which was the heart and lungs and nervous system of the entire colony. It (she, Trihn liked to think of Addy as a she) had been watching monitoring both groups since their initial arrival, as much as she could.
{Hard to say.} Her servers whined slightly under the effort of generating plain human speech. {But I like the university team better.}
{Why?}
For a few second, the only sound was the hard-drives fans in overdrive. {Their SecUnit is friendly. Or acts that way.}
{What does that mean, 'SecUnit'?}
Addy couldn't define it, not really, though she pointed the SecUnit out from their surveillance footage. The tall, serious one with the splicing. Trihn didn't think they looked particularly friendly, but Addy had a different way of judging such things.
This information probably wouldn't do anything to sway anyone. The others were unlikely to be swayed by Addy's opinion; she was just a computer, after-all. But Trihn was less quick to dismiss her, and regardless... It made no sense to reject the university without even speaking to them. She would have to keep pushing the other leaders for a meeting.
In the next meeting with Leonide, though, she did ask, in as casual a tone as she could muster. "What's a SecUnit?"
"A SecUnit?" Leonide blinked, off guard, a rarity. Then she smiled that brilliant white smile. "Oh, just a type of robot, with a little extra something-something for oomph. They're here to keep us all safe." She gestured to her entourage, the armoured soldiers carrying large guns.
Trihn had not thought they were robots. And certainly, the "SecUnit" which Addy had pointed out did not look like a robot.
So that was at least one lie Barrish-Estranza had fed them.
How many more were there?

A Sims 4 Horse Ranch* review, by a Simmer who's not all that into horses
* Software not final. Sponsored by EA.
First, many thanks to EA/Maxis for the early access! This was a treat for me, to get access to an early build to try out for a while, as I'm not exactly a high-profile streamer. Or a streamer at all. Or even a creator (though I'll upload a household I came to love to the Gallery when I get a chance!). But I do love this game! And I love that I can help more of you play it the way you want to. Anyway, the review…
What I liked!
The great range of build/buy! I'll get LOTS of use out of this. It complements some other packs well too.
There are lots of helpful rooms in build mode for fast stables and nectar-related spaces! As a non-builder who sometimes tries to build, I was really happy to have a premade horse stall for my lot.

[image: a pre-built stable room in Build mode]
There's lots of Teen–Elder clothing and hair, and I love the dirty clothes swatches. I'll get LOTS of use out of this pack's CAS! And it will go well with styles from some other packs, too.
The new Afro-textured hairs are a welcome recognition that the cowboy culture of the Old West was not a White culture — there were lots of Black, Hispanic, and Indigenous cowboys and entrepreneurial women in the Old West!
I deeply appreciate the Indigenous content in build/buy, recipes, and CAS — I could see lots there in CAS, for example, that the Navajo people I saw and met in Utah and northern New Mexico (which is a part of the world I really want to go back to) wore IRL.
Lots range from fairly small (15 x 20) to quite large. I appreciate the range as someone who isn't a fan of building on large lots when I do build. There are horse practice areas in the land around some small lots, so you can still keep a horse there.
For Strangerville owners who love that landscape (which I do!), there's now somewhere for that valley, with its smaller population, to be "near". I can imagine that you'd drive up into a range from the new world and drop down into hidden Strangerville. Driving the other direction might take you to Oasis Springs.
The horse-riding and other horse animations are really detailed and fluid. They interact a lot with each other, too. I felt like parent and child horses recognized their relationship even.

[image: a mare lovingly nuzzling her foal]
The sheep and goats are endlessly adorable. Plus profitable! :D And they can sleep in your house!
The rabbithole adventure location out in the countryside has a very different gameplay than previous ones! And it has great sound effects -- play it with the volume up! It's hard to find, though. But it was nice to not need other tricks to get access. (I still have not done the secret places in Oasis Springs or the Outdoor Retreat pack!)
What I didn't like:
No new fridge, stove, bathtub, or toilet (I do like getting more of those!)
Very little boys' children's clothes. And no chaps for Children, even though they can ride and even though Toddlers got some
I would have liked a higher-tech/automated version of a nectar maker. However, this isn't a feature I care about much anyway.
You can't breed the mini goats and sheep, and there aren't even smaller baby ones. I'd have liked to have a full-on sheep farm. I like sheep. (I can practically see my husband glaring about how much I like sheep, even though he's waaaaay far away at the office right now.)

[image: a smiling, leaping mini-sheep, with a spotted goat behind it]
I definitely would never have found the countryside rabbithole without help, but maybe you will? If I could figure out how to do spoilers here, I would...
The horse-toy balls are a little… glowy? for my taste. They also weren't where I looked for them in the catalog, so you'll want to use search for them.
Cross-pack things?
I'd have liked to check out these before now, but with the pre-patch builds, that's not an option, and I'm always kind of busy when patches come out! For example ...
How do cats and dogs interact with horses, sheep, and goats?
Can horses be familiars for spellcasters?
Are there new Milestones?
Are there new Lifestyles?
Are there new Club rules, and are there enough of those?
This Simmer needs to know! (And eventually will.)
Neat things to know!
There's a rabbithole building in town where you can change or plan outfits like a dresser! And just off the main road in town there's a rabbithole building where you can buy goats, sheep, and groceries and other useful things, like horse age-up treats. I liked having an alternative way to buy these things and a whole new way to plan outfits. I'd be happy for more of that. If I can't go into a building, I might as well at least be able to pretend I can. As long as they don't end up being worlds stuffed with rabbitholes in place of gameplay (actually watching horse competition would have been nice!).
You can use a Community Board in town (or from B/B if you want one on your lot) to take local one-off jobs for money. Most need you to own a Horse or some sheep or goats. There are lots of ways to make money as a rancher without needing someone in the household to have a job. My relatives who are farmers will be seriously jealous.
Get to know that Crinkletop guy! He's very useful.
Bugs? Bugs!
Things to watch out for that were issues for me in the early-access build, which is NOT the release build, so hopefully it's a bit better:
Ranch dancing is EXTREMELY popular. You might want to not keep a radio at home until the new dancing has a mod to … moderate it. Or is tuned down by the devs. But I do like it when I'm in control!

[image: five Sims ranch dancing (line dancing) as a group, including two Don Lothario and Eliza Pancakes]
The beautiful stone fireplace was also very, very popular, and of course potentially deadly. Watch out for that.
Ranch hands are NOT reliable. They might stay really, really late. They might stop showing up after a couple days. They might forget the things you instructed them NOT to do the day before. They might be super into kicking the garbage bin over. Keep an eye on your ranch hand. At least until the day, someday, when they get fixed. I'm hoping this is also moddable for those of us on PC.
At one point I had a weird bug where my Sim decided she would NOT eat. The rest of the household could eat. Guests could eat. They could eat HER food. It was fixed by going to the world map and back into the household, so I didn't find out if she was going to just starve to death.
I couldn't find some of the new CAS at first because some men's outfits were under "jumpsuit" for no apparent reason. So, if you're looking for some cool outerwear, try "jumpsuits." Hopefully it was recategorized for the release build!
And that's it! I'm happy to answer questions!

I want a fic about normal non-spectacular human reader. They're not a spider-person and they have no powers. However, they've been stuck in the spider verse for a long time now and just can't find a way to get back home for some reason. They've been around so long that Miguel and them have been dating for a while......
My attempt at the fic below 👇
They actually work at the spider society doing the tasks that the spider-men are too busy to do. Like filing reports, building watches, tailoring and repairing suits, helping maintain Lyla's software (Lyla and Reader are besties now), ect. The reader has become so capable that when they head back to their universe (if they head back) they'll probably be a certified genius......
They're actually really capable despite feeling like they don't belong (bc they're not a spider-person) but everyone thinks they're really efficient and helpful. The fact that a normal person is able to keep up with the maintenance and care of HQ and the spider people in general amazes them anyway. The only thing is that Miguel doesn't know. They usually don't have a lot of free time together, what with reader's various jobs to do around HQ and Miguel busy running the place. Reader doesn't mean to keep it from Miguel, it just never comes up. And it's basically that trope of like reader walking around working on like some maintenance checklist and then as soon as they turn the corner, Miguel enters the room they just left. It makes sense because reader does odd jobs all around HQ and Miguel doesn't have spider sense anyway.
Until one day Miguel sees reader in the cafeteria talking to the spider fam. He sees reader holding a container of food and assumes they swung by to drop it off for him like usual. He just watches like a creep because he hasn't seen reader in a little while and gets a bit bothered when he sees Hobie swing his arm around their shoulders and lean on them as they converse with the others. And Miguel just stands there thinking, "Wait a minute, when did they grow so acquainted with them?"
He enters the cafeteria and reader turns and smiles warmly as they see him, walking up to say hi to him. Reader greets him softly which makes his lips twitch up in a smile before Hobie slinks around reader again and mentions with an amused smirk to Miguel, "Haven't seen you around in a while. Thought you were allergic to the café."
Reader softly chuckles with a quirked brow, "C'mon, Hob. You know I always grab food for him, it's not his fault."
Miguel's lips pressed into a line as he viewed the interaction up close, thinking to himself, "Hob? You have a nickname for his nickname?"
"Yeah but who gets you food, love?"
"Hobart.", reader sighs with a warning tone being clued in enough to gauge Miguel's tense aura.
"Ouch, the full name, huh? And here I thought I grew on you.", Hobie leans closer to the reader. Smirking not only at their banter but at the intense glare Miguel's shooting at him that he can see in his peripherals. Truthfully, there's nothing romantic between the two of them. Hobie and reader are more akin to siblings with the elder reader handling the younger Hobie's mischievousness.
"Get out of here, you rascal.", reader says with a chuckle, gently nudging Hobie back towards the others and away from Miguel. Hobie only winks at the reader before returning to his seat at the table with the others, knowing exactly what he's stirred up. The group all not so subtly watching Miguel and reader interact, their favorite topic of gossip.
"So, who gets you food?"
"Huh?"
"Who's the one that gets you food?"
Reader releases a wry chuckle, "I usually get my own food but sometimes... Hob."
Miguel stares at them for a second before grabbing their wrist and leading them out of the cafeteria. And reader can only think with a small smirk, "Ah, here we go." , unable to contain their happiness about finally spending time with him despite the context of the situation.
He leads them to his office to discuss what all that was about and as soon as Miguel's about to speak, reader cuts him off quickly as they present him with the food container, "I made chicken molé, it's my grandma's recipe."
He can't help but mirror the smile reader gives him as he gently takes the food, "Thank you."
Reader sighs before speaking, "Look. I know you're upset about how close Hobie is with me."
"I thought it was 'Hob'.", Miguel grumbled.
"Miguel.", reader spoke in a firmer tone, with their arms crossed over their chest as they look at him similarly to how they did earlier at Hobie.
Miguel just sighs as he waits for reader to continue.
"He's just a kid from a really unfortunate universe. I know you know that. I am very grateful that he is able to be that comfortable with me and I wouldn't ever tell him not to be. ¿Entiendes?"
Well when they put it like that... Miguel's shoulders slump a bit as he nods reluctantly, "Si entiendo."
Reader gently cups his cheek as they look up at him lovingly with a soft smile, whispering tenderly to him, "No one will ever hold me like you do, mi amor."
Miguel leans into their touch before wrapping his arms around them, sighing softly in relief into the crook of their neck, "How long has it been since I last held you, querida/o?"
Reader smiles softly as they turned to kiss his cheek while running their fingers through his hair, "Too long."
Soon the moment is cut short as Pavitr's happy voice echos off the walls, "Readerrrr! My suit ripped again and I don't know how to patch a hole like this! Can you put the little- Oh! Am I interrupting?" Pavitr's eyes widen as he sees the two releasing from each other's embrace and reader can sense the smile under his mask.
Reader sighs and hops down from Miguel's platform to take a look at the new hole in the fabric of his suit; nodding in relief as they see he's not injured. Reader digs a necklace out of their satchel before handing it to Pavitr, "Here. Take off your suit for me to repair it. Then put this on and press the center medallion. It's a temp suit but don't go running around with it and don't return home. It has a time limit." Pavitr nods and bounds out the door while shouting a giddy, "Thank you."
Reader sighs again and turns to Miguel, shaking their head with a smile, "That's his third repair this month. I need to research a more durable material in his universe."
Miguel looks confused as he jumps down from the platform in front of reader, "Why are you repairing it?"
Reader tilts their head in confusion as they answer slowly, "Because I repair things......?"
Miguel and reader stare at each other for a few seconds before they both speak.
"How often are you here?"
"You know I work here, right?"
Miguel eyes grow wide with concern. He's somewhat rushed when he voices his worries as he gently grabs reader's shoulders, "You can't work here, it's dangerous! Do you know how many anomalies we capture everyday? What if you get hurt?"
And reader just stares at him before chuckling softly, holding his face in their hands to still the mild panic roaring through him, "Miguel, cariño, calm down. I just do mundane work here. Plus, I'm usually in the engineering lab on the other side of the building (away from the anomalies)......"
Soon enough, the reader explains some of the things they do there as they sit, tinkering with a faulty gadget in Miguel's office. Him watching them work, intrigued by the way their hands move. That is until Miguel snaps out of his thoughts, confused by the way they talk about HQ and the other spider people so casually, "Wait... how long have you been working here?"
Reader hums in thought as they continue to work, "Uhhmm. I think about....... a year and a half, give or take."
"YOU'VE BEEN HERE FOR A YEAR AND A HALF AND I DIDN'T NOTICE?!"
*cue Lyla cackling in the background
I started this as a writing request but ended up writing it myself by the end, huh? Well in my head this version of reader is based of my bff. She really is a jack of all trades kind of person and she's actually my muse but...... Am I shipping my bff with Miguel O'hara? Yes, yes I am. I hate to admit it (because I would definitely tap that) but they're a match made in heaven 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Hello dukhi aatmas, this is me, again. I was kind of immersed into something to give you guys an update about my life. Which is not an excuse, I admit. But, I do not care.
So, I watched Red, White and Royal Blue yesterday even though I should be studying 4 programming languages, Linear Algebra and Software Engineering but we are not talking about that rn. The movie healed something in me I didn't know was wounded.
There is a severe lack of queer movies and series which are simply just rom-coms. 95% of them just end up in death, tragedy and not the characters being together. The Heartstopper is one of the most heartwarming series out there for the queer folk. It is simple so sweet and beautiful.
Now back to Red, White and Royal Blue, the movie is the official adaptation of the book with the same title. The main characters are Alex Claremont-Diaz, the First Son of the US, and HRH Prince Henry, Prince of jolly old England. Alex Claremont-Diaz, played by Taylor Zakhar Perez) and the Prince of England (Henry, played by Nicholas Galitzine). The story shows how these two idiots go from enemies to friends to lovers and almost cause the Second War between England and the US.
The movie starts with the wedding of Henry's elder brother, Phillip and the £75,000 disaster. I will not spoil you guys but let's just say that from all the trouble that Alex gets into, this one takes the cake. Alex has to go back to England to do some damage control for the aforementioned disaster. During that process, he begins to see Henry in a different manner from the persona Henry shows to other people.
Henry is much more than the Prince of England's Hearts, he is an avid reader who goes on tangents about Lord Byron. He has named his dog after David Bowie, he watches Bake Off with the said dog and loves his sister, Bea.
Enough about His Royal Highness, the FSOTUS, Alex, is more than the charming heartthrob the media portrays him to be. He is someone whose feet are on the ground, and he wants to help the people of his country. He is a proud half-Mexican and full Texan. But the movie seems to forget to mention that Mexican heritage.
Alex wants to be a politician. He wants to help people and change the mindset of the stubborn Americans. He has a best friend, Nora, the granddaughter of the VP of the US, who admittedly should have had a bigger role in the movie.
The movie itself is fun to watch if you don't want a word to word enactment of the book. Some of the original dialogues are humourous and some of them downright adorable. The chemistry between the actors who was mind-blowing. They gave life to the beloved characters of Alex and Henry.
The movie cuts out a lot of characters and plot which makes Alex Claremont-Diaz what he is. They didn't show his love for politics, his elder sister June, his first boy crush, Liam, his step-father Leo who is very happily a Trophy Husband to the Madam President of the US.
They did not show Henry's mother who married an actor against the wishes of the Queen. They changed the Queen to a King. His mother was as absent as his dead father. They didn't give justice to Bea's character and Pez, Henry's millionaire philanthropist bestfriend.
However, they did show how Alex and Henry make history. They showed the beautiful iridescent love between them. They gave life to the love story of a bisexual First Son and a very much gay Prince of England. And for that, I love them.
After watching the movie, I read the book which I already owned. It was a birthday gift. The book is of course, better. It has 448 pages whereas the movie is not even two hours long. I ended up finishing the book in one-sitting. I started around 1 and finished at 3:15 am with water breaks in between. Do not judge me. I am a chaotic bi, okay?
Anyway, for today's song recommendation, this is a song which Alex and Henry danced to with forever in their mind and heart.
TLDR; a rant about RW&RB ♥️🤍💙

Smart Hospital Furniture: The Future of Patient Care
The healthcare landscape is rapidly evolving—and hospital furniture is no exception. No longer just functional fixtures, hospital beds, chairs, and workstations are now being reimagined as smart, tech-integrated solutions that enhance both patient care and clinical efficiency.
As hospitals strive to become more connected, data-driven, and patient-centric, smart hospital furniture is proving to be a key player in the transformation of modern healthcare.
What Is Smart Hospital Furniture?
Smart hospital furniture refers to medical furnishings equipped with integrated technology, such as sensors, automation systems, and IoT (Internet of Things) capabilities. These advanced features are designed to improve:
Patient safety and comfort
Remote monitoring and diagnostics
Workflow efficiency for healthcare staff
Data collection and real-time alerts
This technology turns everyday furniture into tools for proactive care and smarter facility management.
Key Features and Examples of Smart Hospital Furniture
1. Smart Beds with Patient Monitoring
Modern hospital beds can do much more than raise and recline. Today’s smart beds are equipped with:
Vital sign monitoring (e.g., heart rate, respiratory rate)
Fall detection sensors
Automated bed-exit alerts
Weight sensors to monitor fluid retention or loss
Wireless integration with electronic medical records (EMR)
These beds alert staff to patient movements, improving both response time and fall prevention—especially in high-risk departments like ICUs and elder care.
2. Recliners and Chairs with Health Tracking
Patient recliners used in chemotherapy, dialysis, or recovery rooms can now feature:
Built-in ECG and SpO2 sensors
Automated adjustment controls via mobile apps or touchscreens
Bluetooth connectivity to track usage data and seating posture
This allows for real-time health tracking during outpatient treatments, reducing the need for additional equipment.
3. Workstations and Desks with Digital Integration
Nurse stations and medical workstations are becoming smarter, too:
Height-adjustable desks that record usage patterns
Built-in touchscreens for EMR access
Sterilizable, antimicrobial surfaces with embedded RFID readers
AI-driven task reminders for medication administration or documentation
These features streamline workflows and help minimize manual errors in high-pressure environments.
4. Mobility Aids and Transfer Equipment
Wheelchairs and stretchers are also getting smart upgrades:
GPS tracking and geofencing for locating equipment quickly
Smart brake systems that prevent rolling on uneven surfaces
Pressure sensors to prevent pressure ulcers in long-use equipment
Voice control or app-based navigation for independent patient movement
This tech not only helps staff locate and manage equipment more efficiently but also gives patients greater autonomy.
Benefits of Smart Hospital Furniture
✅ Improved Patient Safety
From automatic fall detection to vitals tracking, smart furniture helps staff respond faster and more accurately.
✅ Data-Driven Decisions
Sensor data from furniture feeds into hospital information systems, enabling predictive maintenance, personalized care, and analytics-driven improvements.
✅ Operational Efficiency
Smart beds and carts reduce manual monitoring, freeing up staff time for more critical tasks.
✅ Enhanced Patient Comfort
Automated adjustments and app-controlled furniture allow patients to personalize their environment, improving satisfaction and recovery outcomes.
Challenges and Considerations
While smart furniture offers numerous advantages, it's important to consider:
Initial investment costs
Staff training and tech adoption
Cybersecurity for IoT-connected devices
Maintenance and software updates
Partnering with reliable vendors and integrating new systems with existing IT infrastructure is critical for a successful transition.
Looking Ahead: The Future of Smart Furniture in Hospitals
As hospitals become more connected and AI-driven, we can expect furniture to play a greater role in diagnostics, real-time monitoring, and even predictive care. Future developments may include:
Voice-activated beds and chairs
Integration with wearable devices and hospital apps
AI-powered decision support embedded directly into bedside equipment
In short, smart furniture will become an extension of the medical team, not just a static object.
Conclusion
Smart hospital furniture is no longer a futuristic concept—it’s here, and it's transforming patient care environments around the world. For healthcare leaders aiming to improve safety, streamline operations, and elevate the patient experience, investing in smart, connected furniture is a strategic and forward-thinking move.
As you plan the next upgrade or expansion of your facility, consider how smart hospital furniture can help you stay at the cutting edge of care delivery.

How to Enable Women Returning to Work After a Career Break
By Nikhil Vaidya, Founder – Prism HRC
In today's workplaces, inclusion can't be merely a metric. It has to be a mindset — particularly when it comes to enabling women who wish to restart their careers.
Whether it's post-maternity leave, elder care, relocation, or a mindful break, career breaks are the norm — and should be made the norm. But here's the catch: most women come back to a world that has advanced without them.
Because of this, confidence levels decline, opportunities are scarce, and skilled professionals get pushed aside. This isn't a loss for women alone — it's a huge lost opportunity for businesses.
At Prism HRC, we believe that career restart journeys need to be structured, empathetic, and strategically designed.
Here's how employers can make intent turn into action.

1. Design a Dedicated Returnship Program
A returnship is similar to an internship — but for experienced professionals returning from a break.
Provide structured positions for 3-6 months
Offer on-the-job training and mentoring
Make clear that conversion to full-time is an option — and encouraged
Firms such as TCS, Accenture, and IBM already operate effective returnship programs. You don't have to be a technology monolith to join them — just purposeful.
2. Build a Mentorship Ecosystem
Returning professionals require more than onboarding. They require a sounding board — a person who is familiar with the functional and emotional adjustments of being back at work.
Assign returnees to veteran mentors (preferably women in senior roles)
Ensure regular check-ins for the first 3–6 months
Provide safe havens for dialogue on imposter syndrome, work-life balance, and corporate transition
At Prism HRC, we proactively create layers of mentorship as part of the returnee hiring cycle.
3. Provide Flexibility Without Penalty
Flexibility does not have to come at the expense of fewer opportunities.
Consider flexible work arrangements, staggered shifts, or project-based employment
Don't stigmatize or assume part-time or remote desires
Create performance metrics that capture outcomes — not face-time
Women coming back from maternity or caregiving leaves require autonomy and support — rather than judgment for wanting work-life balance.
4. Invest in Reskilling and Reboarding
Industries change. Tech stacks shift. Roles adapt.
Don't think that returnees are "out of date" — equip them to get up to speed.
Give access to short-term learning courses (such as data tools, software, compliance training)
Operate reboarding programs that address not only process — but culture, tech, and policy changes
This breeds confidence and makes returnees feel up to date — not lagging behind.
5. Shift the Lens of Hiring Managers
Quite often, the largest obstacle isn't the returning woman — it's the attitude of the person hiring.
Coach hiring managers to interview for potential — not continuity.
View a resume gap as a neutral experience — not a negative sign
Word interview questions through the lens of adaptability, problem-solving, and team fit — not gaps
Integrate returnship situations into DEI KPIs and appraisal objectives
The Business Case Is Strong. The Human Case Is Stronger.
Research indicates that businesses that facilitate women returnship initiatives see:
Diversity at leadership levels grow
Retention level up
More team empathy and unity
But beyond numbers, it's making room for capable professionals who took a break — but never fell behind.
How Prism HRC Can Help
Together with organizations, we at Prism HRC help to:
Create returnship and mentorship initiatives
Rethink hiring practices to enable maternity or caregiving return-to-work jobs
Reskill and reboard return-to-corporate talent
Create inclusive policies that make career restarts the new norm
We think restarting shouldn't equal starting over. Let's create that future — together.
Last Word
A career break isn't a weakness.
It's a chapter. Let's make the return, the comeback story it deserves to be.

Making Life Easier with Reliable Home Maid Services in Chennai

What Are Home Maid Services?
Home maid services refer to professional assistance provided by trained domestic helpers who manage everyday household tasks like cleaning, washing, cooking, and even childcare. These services are available for part-time or full-time needs, depending on your lifestyle and schedule.
But more than just convenience, they offer peace of mind — knowing that your home is in the hands of someone dependable, while you focus on work, self-care, or spending quality time with your family.
Why Chennai Families Are Opting for Maid Services
Chennai, being a fast-developing urban hub, has seen a steady rise in dual-income households. With both partners working, hiring a maid is no longer a luxury — it’s a necessity. Let’s look at some reasons why people are increasingly choosing home maid services in Chennai:
1. Time-Saving Convenience
Household chores can take up hours every day. A reliable maid takes over tasks like sweeping, mopping, dishwashing, and laundry, giving you more time to focus on work, kids, or simply relax after a long day.
2. Professional and Trained Help
Modern maid agencies in Chennai now offer trained staff who are well-versed in cleaning techniques, kitchen hygiene, and time management. They know how to operate modern appliances and follow safety protocols.
3. Customizable Services
Whether you need someone to clean once a day, twice a week, or stay full-time, most services are flexible and customizable to suit your needs. You can even request specific tasks like baby care, elder care, or meal prep.
4. Safety and Background Checks
Trust is essential when letting someone into your home. Reputed maid service providers ensure thorough background checks, ID verification, and even police clearance, adding a strong layer of safety and reliability.
5. Post-Pandemic Hygiene Standards
Since the pandemic, cleanliness and hygiene have become more critical than ever. Trained maids are now more conscious of sanitizing surfaces, washing hands regularly, and using safe cleaning products — all to keep your family protected.
Real-Life Scenarios Where Maid Services Make a Difference
Let’s consider some real-life scenarios in Chennai where home maid services are truly a blessing:
Working Couples: Arjun and Priya, a software engineer and a teacher living in Anna Nagar, found it hard to juggle work-from-home deadlines with cleaning and cooking. Hiring a part-time maid helped them maintain a clean home without burning out.
Elderly Residents: Retired parents living alone in T. Nagar often struggle with physical tasks like cleaning and lifting. A maid visits daily to assist them, ensuring their comfort and reducing their children’s worry.
New Mothers: After childbirth, mothers need ample rest and support. Having a maid to take care of household chores and laundry can be a huge relief during recovery.
Students or Bachelors: Young professionals and college students living away from family often struggle to manage cooking and cleaning. A part-time maid helps them maintain a livable and hygienic space without affecting their work or studies.
What to Look for When Hiring Home Maid Services in Chennai
While the demand is high, it’s important to choose the right service provider. Here’s a checklist:
Experience and Training: Are the maids trained in home care and hygiene practices?
Verified and Background-Checked: Has the maid’s identity and police record been verified?
Service Flexibility: Can you choose between part-time and full-time options?
Replacement Support: If a maid is unavailable or quits, will the agency offer a quick replacement?
Reviews and Testimonials: What do other customers say about the service provider?
Choosing a reputable agency ensures not just quality but also accountability.
Why Choose Professional Services Over Independent Maids?
While hiring a local maid directly might seem cheaper, it comes with risks — unverified background, lack of commitment, and no backup in case of sudden leave. On the other hand, a professional agency offers a systematic approach, verified staff, clear service terms, and customer support.
Final Thoughts
Hiring a home maid isn’t just about reducing workload — it’s about improving your lifestyle. With growing work pressures and little time to manage household chores, more families are turning to home maid services in Chennai to bring structure, cleanliness, and peace into their homes.
Whether you’re a busy professional, an elderly couple, a new parent, or simply someone looking for help to manage a better work-life balance, the right maid service can be life-changing.
So, if you’re ready to take the stress out of your daily routine and focus on what truly matters, explore trusted and professional home maid services in Chennai today.
